I f you are on android this app has options for claptons etc https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stasbar.vape_tool&hl=en_GB its probably based on steam-engine, I find it a bit easier to use.
>Hi ECR!
>Thought it would be nice to do a little survey for the European community. If you live in Europe, I'd really appreciate your feedback. One random surveyee will receive a 5 pack sampler (One Hit Wonder, Kilo, Sacred, Mr Good Vape, Hemlock) courtesy of US Vaping Distribution. Cheers!

This is what you posted yesterday in the ecr sub. Why's this one different eh? Crappy survey to be fair.
After getting the HexOhm today thought it was about time for a family shot.

HexOhm (Clone), Tuglfe (Clone), SMOK Koopor 60W, Zero (Clone), SMOK M65, ZNA (Clone), Hana 30W (Clone), SMPL, Some telescopic from TW, 4Nine (Clone), Dual 18350 box mod, Some crap 18650 wood thing that never worked and a Vamo V5.
2.5yrs in and a far, far cry from the Volcano Carto I started with.
I use gearbest as they have EU warehouses
Couple of friends have the cloupor mods and they're quite good for the price, no quality issues and the only bad thing I've found is the tiny weeny buttons
http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_198551.html?wid=3 36EUR for 80W dual 18650 is quite good in my opinion
Gearbest has multiple warehouses. The EU one is in the UK I think and there's a Russia Border one. http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_148265.html?wid=5
I have no experience with the russian warehouse thing so ymmv.
Just searched Gmail and my Balrog V1 is 13 months old now, a little bit scuffed here and there but still looks presentable and never misses a beat, dropped it lots and when I do the magnetised battery cover goes flying off but no damage. Will likely buy another soon in case they stop selling it since it's discontinued on GB.

I had a closer look at how live streaming works via YT and when scheduling a new event, it gives you the option between:
I've always used the custom
option, so I could set up things via OBS, just like I would do when streaming to Twitch.
If I'm not mistaken (and here's where I'm unsure) is that once you go live, the interface on the YT channel is similar (the same?) as what you'd get when using hangouts and you should be able to add more users.
The main thing is that when viewers then visit the live stream, there will be a chat available.
Again, the only thing I'm unsure of is the ability to invite/have multiple people on the live stream itself. Would need to test that.
Definitely the serpent mini, I've got a handful of RTAs and RDAs now and the serpent mini is definitely the one I use the most - excellent flavour, very easy to build and I love the smaller form factor, I doubt you would be disappointed. Also its very cheap at the moment on gearbest
That's kinda neat. Kind of expensive for what you get imo, but certainly cheaper in the long run than using those coils with an RTA/RBA compared to using prebuilt atomisers I guess!
I've seen a pack of common wires they sell too, although only seen it on gearbest.
Currently using some of the UD Clapton wire from Vapourdepot and it's totally blown me away. First experience with clapton wire, and dear gods it's good!
Indeed, not sure the price of the origi, but I doubt I'd grab it unless I'm really liking the device and the whole mesh thing. However this clone looks quality, no idea where is available unfortunately, apart from 10 pieces here.. http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/2015-SXK-nextgen-genesis-atomizer-1_60216354570.html?s=p
I'll add to that, the only way to have a TFV4 perform well at "lower" wattages (50W and up) is to build your own coils in the RBA heads.
I'm currently running a 0.42ohm single coil made from twisted 0.51mm Kanthal A1, and at 60W it's a great vape.
Gearbest also has a really good deal on the MVP3.0 Pro: http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_184173.html
It's only the gold one unfortunately, I think it looks good but maybe a bit feminine in that color.
This deal and the Subox kit deal have me hesitating to pull the trigger... I've been wanting a good box in the 50W range lately but couldn't justify the cost. :(
http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_211139.html
It's on sale here for another hour and a half, $50 for the mod and $27 for the tank kit. Add $20 expedited shipping that puts it at ~€85. That's the price for just the mod in most EU shops I can find.
I didnt know gearbest sold them, and best of all they have the replacement glass tank http://www.gearbest.com/accessories/pp_239001.html
You've made my day!
This one is great. Big Buddha Mini, not 19mm but 18.5.
http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_211073.html
Great airflow, you cant build dual coil or single, works with 30/70vg juice and good flavor
Just FYI, the cthulhu now costs 0.30 USD more then before, still a steal!
http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_184885.html
Glad the site is good, i just went with the free shipping and should get it within the next 7-25 buissiness days
Review is good like always, but I don't feel like I want this device :).
I first checked pictures and those 3 little buttons pushed my OCD button wrong way.
Then I saw that gap. Sorry, no can do.
Do you have any power over what they send you? If you can, let them send this one: http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_141436.html
Name Veritas intrigues me, it looks like clone of The Veritas. Is it 1:1, how good clone is it?
I was thinking maybe getting one of these
http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_190288.html
17 quid for a cubed authentic attie to sit ontop of a hellhound clone (that still costs more than it)
Welcome to the sub, Gearbest! You already know I love you! <3
The Kangxin seems to be an interesting one, I've been hearing a lot of good about their implementation of temperature control.
The Taifun is a proven value on the vaping market, it may be a little older but it's still very popular.
Smowell seems to be kicking into high gear, they're putting cheap mods on the market with a good quality control. Maybe the guys at Smok could learn a thing or two from them.
I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Kamry. Some of their mods are great and seem to last forever, but I've heard too many horrorstories of things going wrong with their stuff.
I've heard the name Yeahsmo a couple of times before, but I have no experience with their products unfortunately.
As for suggestions, I've already sent a list of things to look out for.
What would I like to win? The HB40 looks quite lovely, but I'd settle for doing more reviews! ;)
Smart Weigh 500 x 0.01g Digital Pro Pocket Scale - This one will weigh up to 500g; which you'll need if you plan on making large batches.
If you don't need something to make large batches, something like the Smart Weigh ACC200 will be absolutely fine, and it's far most cost effective. Also has a calibration feature.
Hey Jonny here,
As far as I know, this is the right tool if you're wanting something of (massively) better quality: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bernstein-6-632-Driver-Conductive-Handle/dp/B00D5T2GBY/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1432755911&sr=8-19&keywords=0.9mm+driver
Basically any 0.9mm hex driver should do the job. However, this is my own research, if anyone has a 0.9 hex key or driver they coulld try to verify then that would be awesome! :)
Good tip! What is the max height of an item that you can stash in there?
Lol I found a nice alu case. Only problem is that it's prefilled with junk: http://www.amazon.de/dp/B007L0FUCK
PS: Best amazon reference number ever. BoozeLolfuck?
We don't use a 'different' plug, we use the best plug in the world, and here's why!
Adapters can be cheap as chips and easy to get in loads of shops, especially anywhere touristy, but I'd probably get a good one before you leave, this looks like it'd do the business.
Of course if you're not coming to the UK/IE then you won't need something as heavy duty, but that adapter should cover you for any trip world wide you do in future :)
You should come to England though, our chocolate and beer are both better than on the mainland and you already speak the language ;)
I began buying a bulk order from this guy, along the lines of this:
Extremely good service and good value to get you started off. You will need to add some flavours to that order, but he has a load of Hanseng ones to get you started.
Edit: Just noticed he has a range of flavours at the bottom the page linked above.
I have moved on to buying flavours and nicotine separately as I know exactly what I need.
Depending on what device you have I recommend a mixing calculator. If you have Android then this is what I use:
If you aren't using Android then there are a few great sites that do the same job, google them.
With regard to recipes. I mainly stick to one/two flavours at a time. The side bar here is superb, a great array and very straightforward to make. It of course all depends on your tastes.
In general, DIY is a larger investment at the start, but in the long run its much more economical. From a personal perspective, it would really bug me paying for liquid, that is the essentially the same quality/ingredients that I use, but at a massive markup.
If you have any other questions I'd be happy to answer, if I can.
I wrote one a few months ago - Vapertrack
I wasn't happy with the other vaping apps out there, so I rolled my own. Suggestions/feature requests are always welcome!
I prefer weight myself it's much easier and IMO far more accurate. I don't like all that mucking about with syringes business.
If you make your VPG's bases first ( VG/PG/nic ) you can knock up new flavours in minutes with no mess too.
Also if you have an Android device I recommend this app, it's the cats nuts.
For mixing and Android it has to be e-juice lab
Personally ( and I've tried a few ) there isn't a better DIY calculator out there.
For coil calculations it has to be Steam.
e-liquid recipes is a good resource for mixing, especially their new forum.
I mix by weight, it's pretty easy once you get into it. All you need is a good calc. If you have an android device then I recommend e-juice lab.
A big shoutout to Innokin for invading my mailbox yesterday, looks like I have some reviewing to do...
And another shoutout to Smok for doing the same today...
make sure that you select the "glass tube for baby RBA" option in the color option
Thanks for the reply I appreciate it, I found a review for them on trustpilot about their nicotine base saying good stuff and thought what the heck let's try it and I placed an order today for a 250ml vg 20mg to give it a spin, I'll give feedback about it when it arrives, let's hope it's good.
yeah you're right, bellcap is plastic tho, got it from gearbest after breaking one of the glass tubes on original top, needed something more robust,
came with a stopper drip tip that fits in my derringer tip, used a bit of fishing wire to stop it getting lost.
If you really want some colour matching, there's this wee beasty. Caveat: I know very little about this tank, have only found 2 reviews (both pretty positive), and the only vendor I've been able to find it with is Gearbest (who have very mixed reviews as a vendor). It's also an RTA, which may well not be what you're looking for. It is very blue tho! Mine is currently on a sleigh in the North Pole, but hoping to throw some sort of review together when it arrives!
Don't really know, it just says contact seller...
EDIT: It looks like it's in production? At least this one?
If you don't mind waiting, you'd be hard pressed to find a better mod than the IPV D2
Couple that with the Goblin mini and you have a very sweet setup for about £50-ish.
For flavour, the mod doesn't really matter, as long as it's delivering enough energy to the coil
Can you wrap a coil yourself? If not, and if you aren't into big clouds of vapour, I'd recommend a Nautilus mini. Easy and cheap to replace, about £10 for 5 replacement heads.
If you can wrap a coil yourself, a Lemo or Kayfun clone - easy to work with, replacement materials will cost you about £3-4 and last you a year, roughly.
Regarding durability, I must confess I am quite drunk this evening and have dropped my D2 about 3 times so far. Still going strong. I was more concerned about the glass tank on the Goblin mini, but sturdiniess-wise, I've been very impressed with how thye've both held up.
Can't speak for alternatives, but I've been using the IPV D2 for about a month and nothing else. I have 3 other mods that are just sitting there, unused and lonely.
Part of me wants to get a fancier mod (I always want a newer device), but this thing does everything I could ask from it and it's tiny. I really can't fault it.
http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_198551.html?wid=3
Two of my friends just bought the above - If this is your first foray into bigger, better clouds then DNA200 may be a bit much, you need some seriously complex builds to use anything close to 100W, let alone 200. Anyway, that ^^ Is a lovely thing and much smaller than most. You will need to buy some good batteries and a decent charger though
I've just bought a Mutation XS which is just great, tiny so loads of flavour, plenty of airflow and enough room for a 6wrap parallel clapton build
Well done, thanks !
The downside is, unfortunately the fan seems to break sometimes. Such as mine :(
Here for example is a replacement one: http://www.gearbest.com/diy-parts-and-tools/pp_122241.html
Sorry for the way too late reply. For some reason my app no longer notifies me about my inbox.
I just checked and yes it's an authentic product. While I was at it I checked the Kamry 40W which I received from Gearbest and it's authentic, too.
Proof: http://imgur.com/a/DQ4Gu
Also on sites like Gearbest and Fasttech they normally name the clones something like xxxxxxx Style RBA and the original products are marked with original, authentic or genuine.
Here's a Velocity Clone for example:
Velocity Style RDA http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_198941.html
just got this delivered, along with this and a couple other things, (ss mesh, wire snips)
the taifun has a flaw, the chimney stem is too short, tho fixed by having the deck cover sitting a bit high, and i originally got it to convert for other purposes, so the chimney might get chopped anyway, but it works pretty good atm as it is,
the subtank top i thought had a small clear drip tip, its solid, so using as a dust cap with the derringer drip tip.
also put ss mesh wick in patriotv2 with claptons, works great, managed to put ss mesh in mini rba on subtank, little bits of cotton at ends to cover juice holes, will be making more ss wicks soon.
http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_184885.html
gearbest has it, i ordered mine there (was to cheap for the 2€ faster shipping, so im still waiting, stupid me). according to them and the reviewers its authentic and really cheap (sale fw)
If you dont mind using gearbest (they have a special shipping to germany afaik, havent ordered from them yet.) they have the Cthulhu for 17.99$. http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_184885.html
They say it is authentic.
>I am not a huge fan of aspire products
Me neither, my first Nautilus broke within a couple of days, it was useless. Someone put an offer up here from Gearbest that had the Nautilus and iStick Mini for £24 so I went for it for the girl. Bargain.
Doesn't look like the offer is available any more though.
Compared to my Lemo 2 the Nautilus mini pretty much sucks though. ( or doesn't suck, the airflow is crap )
Recently made my first order at Gearbest. I'm looking to get an RDA in the coming weeks and would like it if you stocked more authentic RDAs like the Mutation X V4 for example. I would absolutely love an IPV 4
I'm currently reviewing it, should be done by the end of the week.
Gearbest has it up for €18.99, but I can knock off another € in the review. ;) Unfortunately it is in backorder there, and I have no idea when it'll be in stock again.
Hi!
I took a look at this, we do not have guest checkout available, however we can use the option for card via stripe.
Stripe is an option on some ecommerce sites for paying by card, although our site hosts (tictail) allow for the sales for juice, it is against the terms and conditions of stripe for the sale of electronic cigarettes and eliquid.
more can be read upon here https://stripe.com/gb/terms
To simplify it a bit. Our host lets us sell this stuff, but our option for paying by card doesnt!
What a ballache eh!
I would pass on that. If you have to order from amazon go for this
Or you could just pick this up
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Norpro-Cordless-Mini-Mixer-White/dp/B000E39LYO
I have one and the long skinny attachment fits into the bottle and the fins open out to paddles and mixes the liquid really well great little cheap thing imo!
Definitely buy a weighing scales. I have infinite supplies of syringes but only made that mistake the first time. Now I only use syringes to safely draw up nicotine and drop into bottle but still measure it by weight. You won't regret it and the cost is minimal.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00ME8VI34/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This is the one I bought for €12 and it's a little dinger. The main thing is buy one that measures 0.000 ie 3 decimal places
(copy/paste from a previous reply)
Couple of things that might help:
tongue scraper - /u/SpelingMistake recommended it and they're good, but a bit gross seeing the gunk come off your tongue
neti pot - clears out your sinuses. Pretty much a teapot for your nose, but also really good for allergies if you have them
menthol eliquid - not to everyone's taste, but one of the few things you can taste when you have a cold
keeping properly hydrated - the worst case of vaper's tongue I had was when I was trying the keto diet. When I stopped, taste came back. My fault tbh, but not drinking enough water meant I couldn't taste anything at all, which I only noticed when I had a beer and noticed I could suddenly taste my vape again. I was blaming my kit, my juice, everything, lol
have a break - loads of heavy flavours lead to olfactory fatigue (so I read), so unflavoured if you can for a while could be a help, or even lighter fruits
Some people also recommend inhaling coffee grounds, but I can't confirm if it's useful or not.

FWIW pretty much every flavour you listed there is a heavy full flavour (custard, tobacco, tiramisu), so maybe just a break from those was what helped. Either way, glad you're over it :)
Looks like exactly what you have:
Or are the pictures your new bags?
I ordered a bag from amazon which had the older style packaging like in the picture you posted but the one that arrived had the new style (the one on the right). Which was the same stuff that arrived when I ordered directly from Muji.
Yeah I agree. If they market it as alien wire, it should be alien wire, not claptoned flat wire. That's something totally different.
Haha it's just basically the setup that you'd see in GrimGreen's video about it for instance. A desk vice and a drill. I also got myself something like this which I've seen in some videos to hold the clapton wire so you don't have to tear your fingers up like I've done before. And some fishing swivels :)
From what I've seen it makes making claptons of any variation a total breeze which is something I can appreciate as well as my fingers. I don't want to describe the scars I've gotten from trying to make fused claptons without a proper way to secure the cores. There has been blood lol.
Not sure it this helps
Smart Weigh Digital Pro Pocket Scale with Back-Lit LCD Display, Tare, Hold and PCS Features 500 x 0.01g (2 Lids Included) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ME8VI34/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_UjrAxbE8MCMPN
£15 and if you have prime it will be there tomorrow. I started diy 3 weeks ago and this has been working fine for me. 2 min auto shut off, but NOTHING takes 2 min to measure out (and you reset it after every ingredient, so reset the timer).
This metal toolbox, a bit on the larger side but fits all my stuff
I use small box with compartments like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sistema-Slimline-Quaddie-Lunchbox-Bottle/dp/B002KKCLPA
I also bought a small cheap toolbox use it for all the misc shite you gather making coils.
General idea is to keep it somewhere safe and with very little light.
Looks good. It's recommended to grab an external charger for these batteries like a nitecore i20, um20 or xtar vc2/vc4 etc. Some mods have had issues with their charging boards. Though saying that I've been charging my vtc mini through a regular phone charger just fine over the last few weeks and I haven't read any reports of it going wrong with this mod.
A resistance meter is good to have I guess but I haven't used mine in ages, I just use my mods for it now.
Pro tip for cotton: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cotton-Labo-Organic-Puff-200Pc/dp/B000TCD51A
And something to bookmark if you hadn't found it yet: http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp
You can remove the tip from most bottles but +1 on scales. Look for ones that measure in 0.01g increments, something like http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00EPO9M2Y . These only go up to 100g so you may want to look for ones that go higher.
Use http://e-liquid-recipes.com/create to figure out the weight, it's so much easier than syringes.
I ordered these from Amazon this week, 200 pads of Labo organic Japanese cotton for £4.08. Shipped next day but comes from Japan so will see how long it takes. Looks like good cotton, from the reviews. Crazy cheap.
Also while the UD cotton is good, as with all vaping marketed stuff it's over priced for what it is (imo)
I'd recommend ordering some of this for a much better bang for your buck
Not sure if I can enter twice, ignore me if I can't but I just fancied answering.
Also wanted to thank you for including spare screws with the Hastur, they were a lot better than the stock ones.
I haven't decided which model yet, my requirements are 500g max weight (minimum) and 0.01g resolution. Whatever fits those requirements and is cheapest :)
edit: this looks good:
second edit: that has a non-optional auto-shutoff so might not be ideal - that could cause issues if you get distracted / take too long in the middle of a pour :)
With clean hot water and a ultrasonic cleaner, works a treat on those hard to get too bits and areas.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/JPL-Ultrasonic-Jewellery-Spectacle-Personal-Black/dp/B00112B0U0 for example
That. Not boiled it ever, it's fine. I'm still alive, at least. Wicks nicely, readily available, very well priced (that bag will last you for.fucking.ever).
Yo, I'm also UK based. I recently bought this pack from amazon very cheap and should last you a very long time!
I've gotten these myself and they have 50ml ones, I would only recommend them for dripping though as it does take time to fill up a large tank with those needle tips. They are compatible with the other bottle tops I've gotten from SV though so I swapped some around. There's also 100ml and other 50ml ones on Amazon.
EDIT: The ones I got were soft ones so easily squeezable.
To really save money, you get the ingredients needed for a recipe you've found online. You get 1L of VG, 500ML of PG and 7.2% of nicotine in VG. For example, my next order will be about £80 of concentrates, VG, PG and Nic. I will be able to make 1800ml of juice with these ingredients. That's £1.33 per 30ml. Very affordable! The quipment is not very expensive if you start by mixing by weight, i.g getting a scale that weights in 0.01gr. For example this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Andoer-Digital-Pocket-Jewelry-Kitchen/dp/B00APE4OQ2/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1427057589&sr=8-6&keywords=scale+0.01[1] ). It shuts down after 30 seconds/1 minute of inactivity but it's really not big a of a problem as long as you manage to at least add one ingredient in the meanwhile, which you will!
Now if you want to make 1800ml of Nanner Bear, it will cost you around £90 initial cost. That's with the scale and some measure instruments included.
warm water, soap, ultrasonic 12 minute, done
http://www.amazon.co.uk/JPL-Ultrasonic-7050-Jewellery-Spectacle/dp/B001NETX5A/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1425290794&sr=8-7&keywords=jpl+ultrasonic
I got these a while ago, should last a lifetime. Free shipping from Japan, took me about 2 weeks to get here.
I use an old zipped sunglasses case, similar to this. Works great.
Get all my wick and wire from http://stores.ebay.co.uk/meshcompany/ - good price. Just wanna check, but if you're colour blind, get a VP2 or VP4 - otherwise red/green lights and all that jazz. Other things possible...
Flush wire cutters, ceramic tweezers, precision screwdrivers, some sharp scissors purely for cutting cotton, and at least one waterproof battery case so you can throw in in your bag and forget about it.
Oh, and a sieve.
P.S. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Beadalon-De-Luxe-Coiling-Gizmo/dp/B0068RQ85K/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1420586504&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=coiling+gizmo - throw a wingnut and bolt in the loop to trap the wire, and you'll build far tighter coils than any jig out there.
thanks :D
i didnt grab a jig :/ i figured drill bits/screwdrivers would do the job. i hope i was right haha, if not, i shall have to get one! they seem very cheap anyway! everything else tool wise you mentioned i already own.
and steam engine looks good, i shall bookmark that for when i dont have my phone handy, i found an app called vape tool (play store link) which does the same.
thanks for the last one will definitely try to avoid that!!
You need scales like these ones.
I use this set myself, they're great for what they are.
You also need a good calculator, I use E-juice lab on Android.
I'm a big fan of e-liquid recipes, it's a great site for referencing juices. I'll definitely use the forum.
On a side note though have you ever thought about teaming with an app maker, say something like e-juice lab, which is by far my favourite?
I'd love to be able to fly those recipes straight to an android app for mixing or send my own recipes to your site.
