But bro he has his name plastered all over it along with completely random texts from The Art of War that he doesn't even know the meaning to! He is obviously a super duper hetti artist! He deserves that giant ego because he earned it!
On a serious note though, I have to say I respect his marketing skills. Anyone who can make people think that a prodo rig is "heady" is definitely good at their job. Especially when the function of said rig is nothing special.
So nice to see this topping the posts on Glassheads. The piece is by Dune Glass, my friend as well. Great guy and very talented glassblower. We do a glassblowing show together called Torch Talk if anyone would like to see him work live.
I'm getting happier with the design of these starship tubes and they're getting cleaner. I've been having some fun with these.

Also here's a better pics of the rig and all the intricacies of the electrofoming + a dog bone pendant that came with it.
My best friend got into glass blowing a few years ago.
He is currently making some badass recyclers
They look similar to what was posted here.
How much did you pay?

Hey all, I know glass engraving is not exactly what one thinks of being here, but I do a lot of work on tubes, tobacco pipes and storage jars that make for some cross over. Particularly customizing pieces for people.
Still growing my store and business, I was out of the glass business for 10 years while I tried to save the world with recycling, now I am back doing something else I love, engraving. My real focus is on custom work, so anyone can feel free bringing their ideas to me to make real on glass. I can even get the piece for you, as I am developing a relationship with a local glass dealer/manufacturer, and as always storage jars are an easy get for me.
My store is an etsy store let me know if my flair is ok or should be changed. And as per my last post I have gone and started an imgur account for posting examples here. http://imgur.com/a/62AT7
BTW I do dig the style of this sub, stay cool bros.
They sure do!
Here is Brady's Instagram. He makes beautiful (not to mention BIG) fillacello clocks, plus pipes and pendants. I'm happy to say that this one is a part of my personal collection.
I use PBW to clean my glass and it works really well, for a bong sized like OP's I would put 2tsp of PBW into the bong then fill it with boiling water and shake to dissolve, then let it sit for ~20 minutes and then rinse/repeat if necessary. The grime usually will just lift off the glass and then you can rinse it out.
It can leave a permanent haze on the glass if you let it sit for a long time, like an overnight soak, so I usually set a 20 minute timer and then repeat if necessary to get all the shit off.
The style and shape are certainly unique, them also being hand-spun just adds to it as well in my opinion. The function is absolutely amazing the air displacement is just right. It starts recycling the instant you hit, doesn't feel airy and doesn't take half a breathe to start functioning. I own the 14mm Bell, and have tried the 10mm Honey Jar recycler and both are two of the best recyclers I've ever hit. It's odd they made the 14's smaller then the 10's though. Here's mine, the 14's are tiny. https://www.instagram.com/p/-Ezq79K5Mo/?taken-by=paperclouds412

Here's a plug for next time. And if your down stem isn't stuck into the piece permanently I'd pull that out and clean it separately.
They are tiny little flower shaped glass pieces that fit into the hole in your bowl. You can find them at most weed shops but way cheaper to buy in bulk on Amazon or something like this Glass Tobacco Pipe Small Screens Daisy Flower Style for Pipes Hookah 200 Pieces https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B072Q1CWLF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KN9KSCT9J9SJ146VRGV0

On amazon they have a tripod called ulanzi mt16 that is super popular for most of the vloggers and other video people youd just need to get a phone to tripod mount for it. Ulanzi also has a led light that you can use to attach to the tripod itself. I was using it for action camera stuff and started using it for dabbing videos. Im in the same boat as you rn trying to improve. Cheers!

Nice scoop, Down Neck's work is phenomenal. Love that red color and I'm a sucker for any kind of fume. My boy has a few of his rigs, always fun to use. https://instagram.com/p/c4FQigwGAL/?modal=true
I believe this is what you're looking for: As Mr. Dabbingtons said, a glycerin coil, otherwise known as a condenser coil. This one is made by Silver Surfer (sitting in a Nugglife inline), although I bought it local so I can't help you with where to find one. Top notch performance, though.
I think actually they carbon coat the inside of a blank, scratch it with a tungsten pic or tool, then fume the exposed area.

Id reccomend starting with a soft glass class! fun and a good experience regardless of if you want to do traditional glassblowing or lampwork. They often have to use the same torches us pipe makers do.
Here is a good place (Ohio City Glass) to start in Cleveland, OH

and here is a link to a groupon!
You just pointed out that they can mass manufacture enough consumer electronics with that kind of labor to supply the US but you don't think they could get ahold of a lathe? The minimum orders for perced tubes can get up in the thousands for bigger companies http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/593176386/colored_glass_water_bongs.html , what kind of conditions do you think those got made in? I'm not at all trying to pick a fight but I'm genuinely curious how you think they are able to make a profit charging so much less

It's beautiful. You can use some wood conditioner like Howard Feed n Wax on it to bring out the grain, moisturize the wood and keep it from drying out too much.
I like to use these braided cords. They're affordable and I haven't had an issue with them breaking yet. You can probably find them somewhere in smaller quantities, but this link is for the ones I use on Amazon:

I'm no fan of Sokol's, and I'm not super familiar with his work in specifics, but I'm pretty sure that's not kanji/kanji would not be the right term. The Art of War is a chinese text, not a japanese one, and I see no reason he would have for taking stuff from some japanese source instead of just the original chinese of the Art of War.
May I ask how much you bought this for? These pieces are titled "The Art of War" because the calligraphy on it is excerpts from "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu :p. They are absolutely beautiful, and that dabber. Hnnnnnnng

It's basically a liquid that you just pour in your piece, let it sit (a while, I do overnight) covering all parts you want cleaned, then pour it back into the bottle through a strainer (you can reuse it!), and thoroughly rinse your piece with hot water and you're done!
Not quite as cheap as salt and rubbing alcohol, but you can get a quite a bit of mileage out of it until it gets too nasty to use. Less effort too, but takes longer.
Dont listen to the post above. There's many people who teach themselves who can beat out people who take classes from the masters too early. The truth is getting your own studio set up is gunna cost a lot. Ventilation is huge so you dont fuck up your lungs. Then get some glasses and dont skimp. Get your torch after you have things set up safteywise or your gunna get that thing set up and hurt yourself in the long run. There's plenty of videos and books available. Get these books. They will help a bunch. MountainGlass.com is a great website to grab what you need and they have sales multiple times a month. You're gunna be churning out shit glass for awhile. Dont let it keep you down. Everyone starts somewhere. Go from dabbers to dishes to spoons to rigs or anywhere in between. What else do you want to know?
Why not just use green welding filter plate?
Stop in to Airgas, Praxair or your local welding supplier and ask them about filter plates to go into a welding mask. You'd probably want something along the lines of shade 2 or 3.
Something like this, just a lower shade #.
No, unfortunately I shipped domestic as I used to live in Georgia. Sorry I can't help you on the customs issue but I would assume that as long as you declare a reasonable value and don't write "glass pipe" on the declaration line, customs should have zero reason to get suspicious. It goes without saying that you obviously need to clean the rig/tube very, very well to ensure that you've covered all of your bases. For my torus and other rigs, I've been using this stuff called Alconox to clean them and I swear it is 10x better than ISO and rock salt. Here's the item on amazon...totally worth it for heady glass: http://www.amazon.com/Alconox-Detergent-Cleaning-Concentrate-Container/dp/B0000WU828/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438123232&sr=8-1&keywords=alconox
