January 14th, 2020, apparently. Maybe this is part of why the physical release of Homestuck has had so many schedule slips?
Also, is this going to have commentary like the other books? It would be insane to actually hear Hussie's thoughts about all this.

A pamphlet written by Andy Hussie Sr.
Pretty much everything else is gone now, but I remember seeing their website as recently as two years ago.
Homestuck ALREADY has graphic depictions of violence, gore, textual descriptions of sexual acts, rape, suicide, mind control, genocide, torture, abuse, bloody decapitation, strong language, sexual fetishes, incest, clown, and so on. V is pretty explicit about the fact that the Epilogue is just more of Homestuck, and will therefore touch on the same kinds of topics and themes that Homestuck already covers. The fact that kids read Homestuck anyway doesn't retroactively make all of that age-appropriate.
If a parent is truly concerned with what their kid is consuming on the internet, sees a "mature warning" page filled with tags mentioning things like graphic violence and sexuality and abuse, and then goes "lol, this is probably just a silly joke, go for it junior!" without investigating the story at all for themselves, then that is completely on them. In my experience an automated age field is hardly going to stop a kid who really wants to check out some online content, so any parent who puts all of their trust in those is kind of a moron.
It's insane that this dude got away with this. The track (Planets War) looks like it's still on Spotify (I don't have an account so this is just from Google) and on physical copies of the CD but it's not on Google play so Malcom Brown or somebody probably got on that.
oh hey someone's uploaded it onto the interwebs
edit: i can't find that specific pose in the book, so looks like my guess was wrong. i guess hussie might have the how to draw manga female characters book as well as/rather than caliborn's book.
or he could have googled drawings made using the how to draw manga books, and taken inspiration from them.
this is truly the ultimate riddle.
Thanks! I actually borrowed the facepaint from my friend so I'm not really sure which one it was, but I'm pretty sure it was this one. Thumbs up to you too!
All the characters are the same character, a la Davestuck or Tereziquest. This would be an optional way to read it. Homestuck: Hard Mode.
In scratch.php they can obviously print it with a green background, so I am assuming you refer to when he speaks in conventional pages and you have to highlight his text to see it.
The coolest way to do it would be to print the text in white on a transparent plastic overlay layer on top of the regular white-background pages, and attach a black bookmark to the volume that can be slid in-between the transparent overlay and the page. Kind of like the way some kids science books have multiple layers that stack on the same picture with different descriptions of it.
Another visual technique would be to print the letters white-on-white with some sort of special ink that polarizes light, and attach a polarized plastic lens like the ones used in cheap 3D movie glasses to the package.
But I figure that would make the book expensive as all fuck. So probably they will go for the cheapest option and print the pages with the lines pre-highlighted. Perhaps printing the first page where he speaks twice, first without highlighting and then again with highlihgting, just to get the point across to the reader on what is happening.
EDIT: There is also the black-light technique. It is possible to print white-on-white using special ink that lights up when lighed with a violet light. There are even markers made with that, so it's cheap. They could print Doc's lines with that ink and package a cheap 35-cent chinese UV light with the books for the readers to use.
EDIT2: I found a toy that does something with glasses similar to my suggestion of the polarized lens.
James also said he experienced parts of it, instead of using the obvious verb "read". I don't know man, I don't think it's just prose. Maybe it's just not flashes, or it doesn't have any new music.
I was incredulous at first, but after a cursory bit of research, this doesn't seem to be an exaggeration... I'm curious now. Tomorrow, I'm going to see if I can figure out why they would even do something like that.
I mean, Undertale. Fairly obvious I guess. Try the demo out.
And yeah, EarthBound is very much Homestuck in its tone. MOTHER 3 is less actually. I have to say that LISA is more 'EarthBound-y' than MOTHER 3 is, the official fucking sequel. But LISA is just one of the many things that EarthBound broadly inspired, and not everything EarthBound inspired is like Homestuck.
i actually referenced what the book description said on amazon
"Now this sprawling saga has been immortalized on dead trees with notes"
but your idea sounds sick too
The photo on Shutterstock is here, but I can't figure out a way to date it. If you look at the artist's profile though, it stands out quite a bit, so it was probably an obscure reference.
It might be hard to find, since alcohol in homestuck is basically inseparable from alcoholism from act 1 onward.
I hope you do find them, though. Everything Terezi describes should be turned into a cocktail.
Closest thing I know of is drunkstuck
https://www.tumblr.com/policy/en/community
It is probably not considered harassment under those terms, but perhaps this blog encourages malicious activity or is just flat-out bullying of the artist. I don't have a tumblr, but have you considered reporting it?
HOLY SHIT ZACK MORRISON YES. Hype. I can now satisfy my rage at how slowly Paranatural updates with slightly reduced rage at how I only get one measly page of PXS per weekday.
The small details in this comic are awesome; Sollux is wearing a shirt that appears to say "EAT SHIRT", Gamzee's wearing something or another that appears to be stitched in a manner not unlike that of a codpiece, Kanaya has a Candy Corn Vampire backpack, and Vriska's shirt has an elephant for reasons which are not entirely clear to me. My shoot-from-the-hip reaction is a reference to This Is The Only Level, but that seems like somewhat of a reach, and there must be a better explanation that is eluding me.
Also, there's no Aradia on this page that I can see, which I really hope does not imply that she's already dead.
also wow is it just me or is Karkat swole AF in that last panel
I've actually done a lot of thinking about troll reproduction (I also took some stuff from an excellent and well-researched fanfic called Alternian Nation) for a fancomic. Here's my current thoughts:
Trolls, and many other "mammalian" species evolved from insects instead of from reptiles like on Earth. This would mean that instead of having a womb, females would have an "egg sack" that would be shaped like a womb. After sexual intercourse, the sperm would fertilize multiple egg cells, which would develop into eggs. The female would then lay the eggs, which would hatch after a period of time into grubs (this is a feature of many Alternian mammal-like species, not just trolls). However, the insect ancestors evolved "backup" sexual organs in case of a gender imbalance in the population (as that guy from Jurassic Park said, nature will find a way), and these have carried on into the modern age. Females would have small hidden backup testes and a penis hidden in their genitalia, while males would have a backup egg sack in the rear, and their rectum would be divided into an anus and an egg sack canal. However, in both cases the backup organs would be far less efficient than their fully developed counterparts in the opposite sex, so homosexual reproduction was rarely used (the caveman trolls still had a neurological preference for heterosexual relationships because of this). Once troll technology advanced enough for advanced genetic engineering, the mother grub and the lusii were created as a way to lift birthing and parenting duties from the troll population. The egg sacks were engineered into "slurry" mixers, and therefore homosexual reproduction became just as effective as heterosexual reproduction. The trolls then engineered away their heterosexual bias, becoming truly pansexual.
I don't see it in the Apple app store nor the Google one. When I look up the author name, I only find two slot-machine products. Where'd you find this?
EDIT: managed to find it myself. http://appshopper.com/games/flying-hero-free . Is the likeness close enough that whatpumpkin should be notified? Is there a previous work that has this sprite artwork, and was the artwork re-used with permission?
I couldn't help myself after seeing the set of these pictures posted earlier...
Also this is (apparently) the original source.... http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=29935656 (sans Hank Scorpio)
He doesn't. He's talking out of his ass. V said themselves that the Homestuck team doesn't interact with Makin.
https://curiouscat.me/vfromhomestuck/post/830419134
Anyone can see that something is going to happen on 4/13, it doesn't take much to say that you know what it's going to be, and not tell anyone. It's like if I said something big was going to happen in the White House, and I knew exactly what it would be, and then didn't go into any more detail.
Makin, thank you to you and the team for keeping r/homestuck running for so long, but knowing what the epilogue is ahead of time doesn't make you any better or worse at running a community.
gamzee's blood color recently is different to his blood color in act 5 too - some people use this to headcanon that trolls' blood colors change as they age
and i believe this is the post
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/14293468/homestuck-adventure-game
> So, what will the game be like?
> It'll be based on Homestuck, of course. But this doesn't mean it'll be anything close to a direct adaptation. That would be impossible! Homestuck is a pretty huge story.
> It'll be a little more like a spinoff than an adaptation. Something that draws from the elements already established in the vast Homestuck universe, applied more selectively to a shorter, self-contained story. Homestuck's structure is very open, which suits a highly exploratory piece of freeform media with a huge cast and many silly tangents. This game would be a more formal exercise in interactive storytelling. I'll use elements from Homestuck that I think will be interesting to expand upon in something new, likely with minimal relevance to Homestuck comic canon. Beyond that, things are pretty up in the air as far as plot and characters go. I have some ideas, but the concept will be a work in progress for a good while.
> And when I say it will be a “formal exercise,” I don't mean I won't try to do anything creative or novel with the medium. I'll definitely be looking for ways to have some fun with the adventure game format, maybe do a few things that haven't been done before with the genre. But I mainly mean that my primary goal will be to make a well-produced and highly-accessible game by any standard, something that everyone can enjoy even if they've never heard of Homestuck before.
This was over a year ago. Reiterating it helps show us that the game has continued on the same track - unlike, say, the plans to finish Homestuck in 2013. It also clears things up for people who didn't quite follow it the first time: many people, like you, had misconceptions about the original pitch, and this has been helping to address that.
This, but like Glitch FAQ it's an edge case instead of what you usually think of as "fanfiction". I'd recommend the Rational Homestuck series by DaneelsSoul for something more classic.
> Imagine World of Warcraft, but with Lord of the Rings’ mythos, world, and characters!
Hey buddy that´s called LOTRO and it is free to play. I did for years and loved it.
Side note: Tauhid is up next week! Man I loved And It Don't Stop [](/weasel)
Another way of looking at it is that even when they do release the kind of content that fans want and communicate with them about when it will be coming out, countless fans will still harass the creators, ignore the things they already told us, trash the things they HAVE made, and talk about how much they hate them as individuals.
If her very slightly aggrivated response is enough to make you ABSOLUTELY INFURIATED (yikes), then maybe develop a modicum of empathy for one second and recognize that V is a human being with emotions and frustrations just like you. And people wonder why Andrew doesn't interact with the fandom anymore.
Watch The Roots is a very good fic, an Alternia AU where Sgrub never happens. It’s one chapter long and has amazing characterization and worldbuilding.
I also second whoever said The Vienna Game, and I would recommend anything else by paraTactician as well.
Also, I was scouring around and I found this code on pastebin. You could beautify it and decipher it if you want.
And this beauty which indicates that other unrelated(?) PHP scripts are stored on skaia.io like a text-to-speech program.
If you're making a recommendation then you can narrow it down from here.
You can download it off of AlmostNever's comp (mine, too, if I turn it on in the meantime), and it goes right up to the conversation Dirk had with uu that ended in that picture of dark Skaia. Lemme go find the torrent file, unless AlmostNever is faster than me...
EDIT: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9xdb4n11f9hjqw7/homestuck.torrent
Promstuck, but someone already asked this question about fan adventures.
The biggest Homestuck fanfic I read to completion is probably Herding Cats, which I acknowledge has a lot of flaws and dumb shit but what sounds like a crack idea turns out to be a surprisingly thoughtful introspection on all of the Beta trolls. Hell, it made Eridan likeable and I hate that guy...although it does share that aspect with Promstuck. Maybe I secretly want to like the shithead. Anyway.
It falls short in a couple places and has a really clunky tendency to repeat itself, but like I said, it's as much character analysis as fic and it does the character analysis part really well.
EDIT: Can't believe I forgot SBURB Glitch FAQ until I read someone else's comment. It's non-canon as fuck but it is fucking glorious in tone, humor, and analysis of the game at the center of the story. Also, the only place where I've seen roleplaying in the comments that wasn't just pointless cringe (seriously, read the comments).
Releasing this week's episode a day early! Today we talk about the recent 8R8K and decide who we would want casted for a Homestuck movie if such a thing were to exist! Apologies for having to have you download off iTunes this time, Podbay is having a severe virus attack, and I don't want you all breaking your computers in order to listen...
EDIT: Stitcher is working for those who can't download
I know a few people have recommended reading fanfics, and I didn't see Dirk's rewritten version of Detective Pony mentioned. Remember when Dirk sent Jane an edited copy of that Pony Pals book? Well, someone completed the book. They picked up where Dirk left off, and continued to write in his voice. It's really good, in my opinion. Definitely worth checking out.
Parental Bonding really is a pretty damn good Strilonde fic. The whole group dynamic between these four is something I really enjoy when the author manages to pull it off. And on the matter of Strilondes: How has nobody mentioned Perfect Little Freaks yet? It's a non-Sburb Strilonde family AU in which Dirk actually realises that he would be a shitty parent so he asks Roxy to raise Dave as her own while he takes the role of the cool rapping uncle. Shenanigans ensue. It's pretty damn long and still going.
Alternate explanation of her girlishness: she's girly. Moreover, she's girly amid chess-people, and the only other living human being is as masculine as possible.
And she's not even that girly, since the only female character in Homestuck who wears an honest-to-god dress is Jade. Roxy wears a skirt... over pants. Even her god-tier jammies have more leg coverage than what Jake wore on Hellmurder Island.
Trans!Roxy would probably also screw with Trickster Mode, which was (on a first-order approximation) the removal of character-based obstacles to a horribly "ideal" solution. I see it as a mockery of slapdash fanfiction. It happened to highlight all the constraints that made the Alpha kids act the way they do... but then again, maybe Trickster-mode Roxy would be biologically female anyway, since that would be an obstacle to clumsily remove.
I was at home, sitting down while scolding myself for not starting to reread the comic earlier, due to the heavy hints that the upd8 was tomorrow. I wasn't worried about missing anything today, but when I got in resist, I decided to get on the site to come nit he my reread when the error message came up, which was wonderful. I checked the site isitdownrightnow.com, which confirmed my suspicion in the comments. I then checked Reddit and saw the post saying that it happened. Fortunately it came with the mirror so I could see the update as well, and fangirled harder than ever before (I'm not even a girl btw). Then I couldn't help but think of how wonderful it is that I now have to juggle both Homosuck and trying to catch up on the main comic at the same time.
Well, technically it's Friday on the other side of the world.
My favorites:
Cities in Dust (shit let's be hardboiled) : Mostly Dave and Terezi, though the rest of the cast appears as well. Very AU at first, with some gorgeous art and some great moments. Ties back into the main plot later in a pretty plausible way.
Virgobound :: My favorite Kanaya fanfic. Funny and well done. Almost comes across as a parody of homestuck's meta-layer of being like a video game that's about a video game. Set in pre-hivebent alternia. By the author of Red Dead Virgo, which I could not read at all, even though this fic is really good.
Not like you're on the big list or anything.
Strider's Edge is technically a crossover between Homestuck and Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh, but you only need to know about Homestuck. Which you do, so that's good.
It is legitimately the best fanfiction I have ever read or ever will read. Beautiful prose, well-developed characters; and the intertwining themes of memory, justice, desire, friendship, beauty, and revenge all come together to create a bittersweet, stunning story about an AU where everybody attends Oxford.
Heck, the author managed to pull off [](#s "A Rose/John/Vriska love triangle") and even [](#s "Dave Strider committing suicide in his bathtub") successfully, which really puts Strider's Edge miles above the rest in terms of caliber.
Within, Without is a moreso Dave centric DaveKat fic that's pretty nice. I'm not really into fanfiction, especially stuff of this nature, but even for me it's been a really great read.
http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=holocaust
It's been in the English language since the mid-13th century, it came from Greek, and it has been used in the "massacre" sense since 1833 (not sure if that was in response to any particular war or some smaller massacre)
Here is the pesterchum client for android. It was removed from the store, however it still works, because it just uses the pesterchum servers.
"i decided to search my name and all of my mentions on this website are people who are DEAD CONVINCED that every single simple thing i say must be couched in a series of misdirections
no… no guys… if i say a thing thats exactly what it means. there is no big conspiracy. if what i said is simple it does not mean i am being sarcastic or evasive. it means the answer is exactly that simple.
fuckin relax. you don’t need to craft elaborate theories based on my 4chan shitposts. the face value literal reading of my posts is exactly the meaning of what i say." Source: https://www.tumblr.com/dashboard/blog/ipgd/142513436857
As The Baby Is You so eloquently put it, "WATER, FIRE, AIR, DIRT".
I always had a soft spot for fanclassspects. Now that we have actual descriptions for all the aspects, they might just become more common! Woo!
Never been that good at interpreting this horoscopey stuff. You pretty much nailed the writing style, though!
Also, you might be interested in the fact that the Sburb Glitch FAQ has two very similar aspects, Flow and Rhyme (where, coincidentally, Flow is the firey one).
RSS is a protocol literally designed for this use case. You can also add RSSs as "dynamic bookmarks" in your browser. Subscribe to RSS sources through many online services. Or pipe RSS updates to pretty much anything using IFTT recipes, such as receive an email when the feed updates.
Edit: Here, this one took me 30 seconds.
That would be Time Kufc. Here's a Let's Play of some random user-made levels by a befuddled, rambling Canadian!
Also, [/r/tipofmytongue](/r/tipofmytongue) is your friend.
There is a second page of description, but reading through this again, I did not in fact recall correctly; it doesn't say 12 orbs outright, it just links the orbs to the number of players. I haven't played this flash in maybe a year, sorry.
> It wouldn't. That's it. Unless maybe they were set peices.
Perhaps. It could even be a possibility to accomplish something like this with CGI, software like Blender and Cinema 4d are usually used for the "CGI" and "VFX" related works, generally along with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere to make such effects visible on screen, or within the footage. It could also be a possibility to do it as a mix of on-set items and CGI, Though this really depends.
The closest I've seen are snippets in the short fanfic The Last Gambit of Zazzerpan the Learned. It'd be incredible if some fan went all-out and defictionalized the novel a la Detective Pony.
I would suggest CF.Lumen instead. I was using f.lux on my computer and Twilight on my phone and the colors looked rather different between the two which was throwing me off. CF.Lumen looks much more like f.lux, which is nice.
The game is called Transformice, it's an online platformer where one magical mouse (shaman) guides the mice the cheese and back to their mouse hole by spawning physic props. Really fun and now on Steam. P.s. I used a third party website to make these guys.
Oh I see!
Hey, have you ever heard of FireAlpaca?
It's free, and like a mix between SAI and Photoshop! It's also pressure sensitive.
I'll link you to where you can download it: http://firealpaca.com/en (for mac and windows)
You can also download the free trial of Paint Tool SAI here: http://www.systemax.jp/en/sai/ The full version (assuming that you legally obtain it) requires a software liscence that costs like 50 USD or something. Personally I think it's worth the money, it's what I use and it's fantastic for both linework and colouring. There isn't any text option, though I've heard that the second version will have it. However if you can't afford it or download it for whatever reason, FireAlpaca works just as well!
Anyways, I've seen some amazing things done with MS Paint so, yeah, like whatever program you use I'm sure you'll keep producing wonderful art.
Yeah, the whole classes affect personality but also your personality affects what your class is based on what you're lacking or need to improve on thing.
But, V, one of the writers, answered a question regarding the content tags, in which they say that " They're descriptions of the content that is in the epilogue" so I'm not sure how many are just references or jokes about previous stuff.
Additional reasoning that Eridan may be significant to the story:
When Shelby from the WP team got asked what her classpect was, she said something along the lines of "According to Andrew, Muse of Space" (EDIT: Found it), which kinda renders this whole argument wack.
It's just for fun c'mon.
I don't know of any stock images possibly used there, but if you're just trying to piece it together simply to attain a higher, wallpaper-worthy quality then I recommend downloading the flash itself and decompiling that file.
Personally I use Firefox to download the .swf (flash) file and JPEXS to decompile it. You just open up the page with the flash in Firefox, download it from Firefox's handy media section, and then open it up in JPEXS, and bam; every individual image, layer, and animation that makes up the flash is available to pick apart and zoom in on (while keeping quality).
You can see what I mean in this album. I didn't re-piece together those quality rips to make it look like it does in the flash but it's easy to do with any image editing software that supports layers. When exporting the images it offers to save them zoomed in and I chose 1000%, which resulted in huge dimensions but didn't make them blurry or grainy.
Hopefully this is something like what you were looking for and sorry if it wasn't or I misread. It can be interesting to mess around with regardless. Feel free to ask any questions.

Lovely spritework, I particularly enjoyed Pimp Tavros. In case anyone is interested, Red Dead Virgo is likely the source of at least some of them.
I'd recommend the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.
Practice is essential for getting refined motor skills, but usually the trick is in the looking. You have to really study how things look and not rely heavily on how you remember them in your head -- not for a long time, anyway.
Also try your hand at different styles and experiment with media. Watch videos of how other people draw, study their drawings carefully. Try to draw things turned upside so you can see the angles more objectively.
A lot of people want to jump into cartooning without learning how to draw realistically...and it usually shows. It helps a lot to understand the shape of the skull and skeleton from many angles before you try putting hair and clothes on.
I've been drawing for as long as I could hold a pencil. I put 40 hours into a single piece commonly. I'm far from the best out there, but if you want any more advice, here's something to give you an idea of my approach(es) to drawing.
If you want to do the symbol in grey on a black shirt the best solution would be to use a stencil and a MISTING of bleach from a spray bottle.
If you don't pour on the bleach it will turn grey instead of black. http://www.instructables.com/id/T-shirt-Designs-with-Stencils-and-Bleach/
Alright. You're the one running this, so you start the session here. Then PM us all the session name and password.
There's an in-game messaging system, so that should do us fine. But it could also be pretty cool if we made our own subreddit, have threads for dungeon trips and bosses and stuff and be able to schedule different times (this site is good for scheduling events across different time zones). But yeah, there's a few ideas for you.
Eh. It also just depends on the scale of it.
Using Cascade as reference
1 month =14 mins
In those 14 mins the storylines wrapped up:
B1 Exiles
The actual Scratch
The Green Sun
Jade and John Escaping
And that's really all right?
(If I'm missing a giant plot point, let me know, and I'll fix this.)
So 14 mins=4 plot lines=1 month.
We have:
John & Rose & Roxy vs Condesce
Jake & CatTavroSprite vs Felt & Robo-A2 Jack
Jade & PM vs Bec Noir
Dave & Dirk & Terezi vs Lord Jack (B2 Jack)
Plus a lot of other plot points that need to be either touched before the end.
ArquiuSprite?
Vriska vs Lord English? (Vriska's Treasure) (Tavros's Army?)
Calliope (Beta Calliope and Alpha Calliope)
Getting to Caliborn's Masterpiece
Casey's Army?
Sollux & Aradia?
NannaSprite (Gamma (Game Over) and Alpha) & Jane? (If there is more to that)
(The Jake & Jade meetup also needs to be a thing or I will be very angry.)
However a lot of those should be pre-A6A6A6.
Plus I'm just going to add in Epilogue here.
So that puts us at...huh only 5 for animations.
That 11/11/15 release is looking a lot better at the moment...
Yeah, but I can't tell if it hurts me that it's so far.
(Like 2/3rds-ish of a year away)
Or that the end is so so close in comparison. (2288 Days since Homestuck Started.)
Can't seem to find this one. Do you happen to have an author associated with this fic?
Edit: I'm a fucking idiot, I found it. Here's a link for convenience: https://archiveofourown.org/works/184018/chapters/270773
If you like soulmate AUs and Davekat you might like M.C. Escher that's my favorite MC by Unda, warning: it's a long one (500k words and counting). It's also an AU where all the alpha and beta kids and trolls are in the same universe.
Edit: You also might like The Calm Is Terrifying When The Storm Is All You've Known by HappiKatt if you like Davekat. This is a no Sburb AU, and has trolls on Earth. Warning: another long one (about 170k words and counting) and part 1 of the series is just 2 chapters away from being completed. This fic also includes art that the author drew for certain scenes.
Nice choice of music; it always gets my heart pumping and worried.
For a Firefox solution (not involving one of the many speed dial addons), I app-pinned a tab with the progress bar gif and then used ReloadEvery to set it to update. The app tab favicon is a tiny version of the progress bar.
No problem! Since you're already playing a bizarre free RPG, lemme give a shout out to Space Funeral, which is if Undertale was less emotional and about pascifism and a lot more bizarre. If you liked the quirky sparing dialogue, you'll like this since it's pretty much that: the game. I haven't played it, but I've seen Vinny's play through and it was very convincing.
If you don't want to think of it as a commission for someone's fancharacter (because it totally was) just think of it as a fire level in a game, because that was the vibe I was going for.
In any case I hope nobody minds that I'm posting these. I'll get back for making fanmusic to homestuck proper soon, I promise!
I have no idea if the $2.5m actually was reached. But the stretch goal itself was confirmed while the paypal option was still running, possibly on the assumption that there would be more paypals than there actually were.
edit: also, the same news post says it would be "to be distributed with the physical game, and probably on its own as well", which I guess is relevant to this thread as a whole.
I'll post it in this subreddit once I'm done with Chapters 1 through 3. Chapter 1 would seem completely irrelevant to the point, Chapter 2 might make you understand how you get to it, and Chapter 3 is when it finally hits. I'm done with Chapter 1, and I have a PDF of it, but, like I said, it's pretty much completely irrelevant, so... okay, I'll post it, but let me fix a couple typographical errors.
EDIT: Keep in mind that what you are looking at is the lead-in to the lead-in!
I'll upload the .m4a in a moment. (Soundcloud doesn't allow m4a uploads for some reason.)
EDIT: Here you are! Since I haven't ever downloaded a ringtone off of the Internet before, I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with this, but it's the format that it's stored in on my computer so that's what I'm uploading.
I put together a torrent for AlmostNever. Let me go look through the archives for it. I'll edit my post when I've found it.
EDIT: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9xdb4n11f9hjqw7/homestuck.torrent. I'm totally torrenting it at this exact moment. It's also on AlmostNever's comp, and probably a few other peoples' too. It's great; I watched all the flashes on the plane for like 8 hours a couple days ago. The looks the flight attendants tried to not give me were hilarious.
The tricks that've always worked for me is either to pick somewhere that definitely isn't the beginning and start writing there, hoping the right way to write the beginning will just occur to me, or to head over to write or die and just make myself write. There are modes that aren't consequence mode in version 2, but use consequence mode and set that shit to kamikaze with the grace period all the way down. See how fast your writer's block melts with those settings.

While it's not in the same genre as Loophole, I really can't recommend Like One Sundered Star enough. It's a superhero AU, but the game is still a thing. It's the longest Homestuck fic on AO3, with two other 'Interlude' works in the series. Pretty much every single character from Homestuck shows up, and they are all marvelously written.
It's simply amazing how the fic manages to be so long with such consistent quality, and there are a dozen or so twists that are real shocks.
It's just really, really good.
Superego is a good, psychology-themed fanventure. Not really Homestuck-related, but it's one of the longest adventures on MSPFA. A lot of what you can find on the forums is pretty cool, too.
The Gods Have Horns, an AU fanfic where I guess Karkat never fucked things up and now the trolls serve as the gods of the Earth.
Stumbled onto this thread again. See the fanfic Even If Your Hope Has Burned With Time, where blueblood troll-John is cuckoo for cocoa puffs.
AOTD1: Are you a centaur? No? Then fuck off.
AOTD2: I don't... really have one. My favourite AU fic at the moment is probably vacation, which is John/Dave where John is a merman. It's better than it sounds.
AOTD3: I got up today?
i'm making a little mini zine thingy for tcaf. i have 2 finals in 5 hours.
i got my sad pictures for children book. this feels weird.
e: also buy this
i was actually thinking about having a go at it, so yeah, i'll pm you if i end up finishing it i guess. i'll be doing it for phase shift because that's what i play on but you can convert it for gh3 easy enough
Yep, check http://bindingofisaac.com to see how to do it, Edmund updates every week instead of Hussie's single update a year adding to a whopping 8 screenshots + one room demo since October 4, 2012. TOG explains the delay, but not the tiny amount of information we get.
This is actually where I got the software. There is also an English fan-site that is more legible.
I've been using the 0.9.1.4 version with the Gryzor87 manual & your primer on the thing.
Are the instruments you're talking about the ones that come with the v0.9.2.5 ZIP?
I've been dying to figure it out.
I can see from the video that they are the default u-ORG_MXX and u-ORG_DXX names but I can't make out the specifics.
I know the Voice and Unit tabs are more legible in the Batang or Arial Rounded MT Bold font.
Having watched the video again, the drums are just ORG_D00, D01, and D02.
I think I can also spot an ORG_M00 there as well (for the heartbeat).
I didn't even know the ORG instruments existed :|
As in the Reddit one? I don't know about the Paradox Space logo one. If you're talking about the News and New banners, those are in a small pixelated version of Courier New that is found in an easy form here. You have to make an account to download.
i dont know enough about homestuck lore to know how the beta kids and the house juju will fit into the story, but i feel like john being the main antagonist is close enough
i see it less as a john is legitimately evil sort of thin and more of a im really sad and desparate and i need something, less of a big scene to talk him out of it and more of a slight push in the right direction. like he'll know when hes fucked the world to almost beyond repair
also something else that would make this theory really fucking sad
Unlike most astronomy software that just shows you what the sky looks like or where the planets are, Universe Sandbox is a powerful gravity simulator. You can add another star to our solar system and watch it rip the planets from their orbits.
I created Universe Sandbox.
>lmao im not speaking ONLY about davejade/davekat.
>A large portion of johnrose/daverose shippers are homophobes.
To be fair, John and Rose did talk a lot.
>Yes, sometimes shipping and homophobia intersect.
They don't intersect. They are independent by themselves; homophobia/gay fetishism do imply that a person won't ship gay/str8, but that's the only limitation.
Great points by everyone on villains so there's not much I can really add, except that my favourite villains are the ones who think they're the heroes.
An exciting day today: I've been taking the songwriting course on Coursera and the guy who runs it, Pat Pattison, is in Toronto giving a masterclass. So I signed up, and I'll be performing one of my songs to a class tonight and having Pat critique it. I'm mildly terrified.
Google now is one way (But that doesn't give you notifications) and I made this for personal usage. (Which does give notifications) Pushbullet MSPANotifier
As a chubby chaser, I gladly adopt chubby!EveryoneIFindOtherwiseAttractive as headcanon. I guess Fef could fall in there but not as well as Vriska. Plus I'm pretty much on board with the perception that Jane is chubby, largely because someone like her probably would be in real life but also based on her looks... Even though I know the sprites don't necessarily reflect actual body type. I kind of wish Hussie would just make a fat character canonically since there are a lot of militant fat acceptance folks on Tumblr and he's made fun of basically all the other types of Tumblr warriors... And they're out there doing fat homestuck porn fanart no less (I direct you to https://www.tumblr.com/tagged/fatstuck).
oh yea so I guess for those of you who are digging this dave, you can check out my stupid tumblr trashfest that is mostly homestuck art and dave selfies here: https://www.tumblr.com/blog/secretblogthatnobodyknowsabout
Thanks a lot :D ! I got it from amazon us just here: https://www.amazon.com/Crossbody-Transparent-Shoulder-Messenger-Satchels/dp/B087PJ85YH/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=ita%2Bbag&qid=1626119668&sr=8-3&th=1&psc=1 Between you and I, I'm pretty sure you can find the exact same one cheaper on aliexpress if you're on a budget :) the keywords I've used were: "mini ita bag".
Well, I am going to school for illustration -- but school has only really helped with learning how to use new media (printmaking, oil, watercolor, etc).
I learned a lot from looking carefully and learning how to sketch lightly first, then go back and darken the lines in the right places.
I would recommend the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain though. It has a lot of exercises that teach you how to see what's really in front of you. It also really helps to study the way other people draw. (And here's a shameless plug for myself because I've got stuff on there that's a lot more finished than this sketch.)
If you can't get Dolphin because of a few problems here and there, I'd suggest you get FlashFox to load up the flashes.
Ay, thanks for the kind words. Really happy to hear about good mimicing of the original style. Ma-a-aybe it's not very creative but that what I wanted when I started to draw homestuck arts.
But still, I probably not gonna start a fan-adventure. For now I stuck with mandatory military service (quite sucks to live in Belarus (actually it sucks a lot)), so after a couple of weeks I'll be taken to military (very likely).
But! If you want you can look at my drawings here https://vk.com/lairusdrawings.
This is russian social network, so don't be surprised that i wrote everything in russian.

Google translate might help you :D
Ah, I had no idea. Here's a Docs link!
EDIT: JK, the link does nothing. :( How do I get this damn thing to work...
EDIT 2: 'K, it works!
It depends how specific and accurate you need, but in a pinch, a dress length hoodie could go a long way. There are probably local T shirt graphics shops near you that would custom screen the Space symbol on there for you (for a modest fee of course).
Primary Colors is an ancestor fic that's been slightly altered from canon to be Signless/Psiioniic rather than Signless/Disciple. It also extrapolates a lot from canon, filling in gaps and bringing all the ancestors together and into conflict in a lot of ways that canon never explicitly states, but which make a lot of sense. The ending is depressing as hell, but it's overall great.
Dreaming In Binary is a Sollux/Eridan fic where Sgrub never happened and the trolls went their separate paths in adulthood. Sollux is a battleship's helmsman with his emotions and memories suppressed, and Eridan has been stationed on that battleship and tries to get through to him. Almost all of the the 12 beta trolls are present, although they don't all have huge roles.
I don't even ship Psiignless or Erisol, but both of these fics are awesome rebellion stories and have great fight scenes, and I'm a sucker for that.
this is embarassing but i forgot how to type in russian (i live in the USA) so sorry im talking in english
you should use https://www.deepl.com/translator and not google translate, it's so much better
i think what you are looking for is https://mspaintadventures.ru :3
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hg4bpr99j0hk9tu/Grimdark%20Jade%20.png This is the best I can do. Also before you go with raging at it I only said Grimdark because I couldn't think of anything else and I hadn't seen "Grimbark" yet.
Depending on the artist, some combination of merchandise, commissions, and donations. Some get enough to live on purely from donations. I've heard commissions are particularly lucrative for artists who are willing to draw porn. Only the really huge ones like MSPA can make it on advertising.
