I'm honestly confused, because that's something Google would be much better at answering than individuals? I'd just Google it. In fact, I did just google it, found this: https://weatherspark.com/y/1640/Average-Weather-in-Long-Beach-California-United-States-Year-Round#Sections-Wind (there's also a section on rain)
You'd have to compare it to the statistics from other cities yourself, though.
I've also had (going on 5+ years without seeing ONE EVER AGAIN) success with Boric Acid and a dust blower (looks like a large, old-timey perfume spritzer, but plastic). Remove every Outlet & Light Switch plate and blow the boric acid in the plate box and between the box and the walls. Also blow the dust in any crack and crevice you can find (under sinks, etc.). I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this!
After you dust, it takes about 3 full weeks for them to be GONE GONE GONE FOREVER!!!!! They have to track the dust on their legs/feet, then they ingest it and/or take it back to their dens and all of their homies eat it and GOODBYE SIRS!
Hi!This is my girl. Her name is Bella. Thank you so much. I’ve been a mess all afternoon. I can come get her right now. Please call me (949)303-3460 https://nextdoor.com/post/96823760?init_source=copy_link_share
Yeah, I actually just realized this same thing recently. I went on Amazon to check for some reusable produce bags, and sure enough hey had some great ones. Bought them and love them.

California law allows you to break the window now. I carry this with me for this very reason in the summer:

176 feet if that is correct. Why the hell he would try to challenge a 176 feet record with a 385 foot dive is beyond me, though.
Yeah check out the google map in that post rather than the picture. That map has more accurate information regarding different neighborhoods rather than the MS paint edit.
and since you guys are from canada, the nearest hockey rink is glacial gardens in lakewood. hope that helps.
A lot of the crazy fees cleaning fees right? Damn covid. Alternatively, there are a lot of dog friendly hotels in the area so hopefully you find your fix! The hotels.com app (not desktop, actual app) offers pretty competitive pricing. Maybe calling a hotel directly will offer you a long term stay discount.
You have to add the QR code to third party health apps. On iphone you can use https://healthvana.com/digital-vaccination-records/
And Android the app is called Common Health https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.thecommonsproject.android.phr
You should get this book. Tons of awesome history! I bought my copy at MADE off Pine downtown but you can get it on Amazon too..
Long Beach Architecture: The Unexpected Metropolis (California Architecture and Architects) (California Architecture & Architects) https://www.amazon.com/dp/0940512394/
I've tried all sorts of traps and sprays. I am in love with this spray. It attracts the flies you have nearby. It doesn't attract flies from outside the area. The flies die after walking around in it. I put it on window sills and wherever flies naturally land. Garbage Bin, window sills, etc. It's very effective.

If you have an android phone u can try this. Not sure if there is an IOS version. I'm not too big a fan of it's layout and I'm not sure how many actual events it shows but it's still pretty good.
This map is a complete joke, which is why I made a new one and posted it to a thread awhile back.
The thread: http://www.reddit.com/r/longbeach/comments/vsto8/a_new_and_more_extensive_neighborhoods_map/
Also, I'd recommend signing up for this, it will send you an email each time a new craigslist post is posted with whatever title you want it to have (ex. Giant bike).
Hangar 18 climbing gyms are about $46 a month or $53 for two months if you use a groupon. Even if rock climbing isn't your thing, most of the locations, including the Long Beach one, have an area for weight lifting and stuff.
Check your junk mail. I got a flier from them with this promo:
$7 to start, $7 per month, first and last, and $29 annual. Expires today though!
I can't really comment on the gym itself. I've never been inside. But from what I can tell, it looks mostly cardio and one-on-one training. If you're looking into heavy weight lifting, this might not be the ideal gym. You should ask if they have a free week pass. And visit at different hours of the day to see how crowded it gets.
I think Costco has the best deal for membership at 24 Hour Fitness. If you can swing the huge upfront cost, you can buy a prepaid membership. It's good at all Sport level clubs, no contracts, no hidden fees. At the end of the term, you just buy another card or walk away no strings.
My relatives and friends are moochers, so they all stay in our tiny guest room... but I have heard positive things about Long Beach Couchsurfers and I've had great experiences with AirBnB.
Just in case something alternative to the norm strikes your fancy.
You won't find anywhere like that in LA County. Anywhere that you want to legally have dogs off leash will have other dogs present. Sounds like you need to work on the dogs problems with other dogs, because anywhere you can take the dog off leash there will be other dogs. Maybe use a muzzle? The dog park on 7th and Park has a smaller enclosed section for individuals to work with their dogs separately. It's not huge, about the size of a house lot, enough to get most dogs exercise. It's on the north side of the park here: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=33.777402,-118.133909&hl=en&ll=33.777393,-118.133904&spn=0.000698,0.001032&sll=33.777402,-118.133881&sspn=0.001397,0.002064&t=h&z=21
Take a look at Open Signal and choose the Carriers you are interested in. It will show you a map of crowdsourced speed tests done periodically from several phones in places all over the city (and many other cities).
It's not 100% perfect but it's the best thing we have to measure coverage and speed.
I tried the Bayer Max Force gel outside and the Terro liquid baits inside. Mixed results on both. One summer, the ants totally ignored them. Another summer, they devoured it and stopped coming around after a week.
But honestly, if you're dealing with 1000s of ants per day, I'm not sure if those will be totally effective. You're gonna have to bait the ants for several weeks until the entire colony (or colonies) eats the bait. And I agree with the other poster, DE powder isn't the solve-all that everyone makes it out to be. Especially for ants. Their breathing holes and joints are too small to be affected by it.
If you're in an apartment, you might be limited to those flat antennas like someone else suggested. I have one for my bedroom tv. Works fine. Works better if you have a window that has a clear line of sight to Mt Wilson.
If you live in a house or an apartment with a balcony, you might want to get a mini yagi antenna. I have this for my living room tv.
Also note that most DTV stations in LA broadcast on UHF channels, but a few broadcast on VHF. If some of your favorite stations are coming in with choppy signals, you might want to look for an antenna that has separate elements for VHF and UHF signals.
Why is google going to move into a market that already has fiber, and because of that already has agreements with the ISPs there, to bring in more fiber when it would be much easier for them to just go into markets where fiber doesn't currently exist?
Also, the $11 billion mentioned was an estimate, actually $55 billion over 5yrs, to rollout to 20 million customers not an explicit budget for google to do so http://techcrunch.com/2013/04/08/google-fiber-cost-estimate/
BEAR SPRAY, much more powerful and still legal.

Definitely bring your bike in, if you can, but in general - this is the bike lock to have, especially if you're in a high bike theft area.
While I agree with your statement, I'd think the tenant has the responsibility to not stuff any/everything down the grinder hoping it will wash away.
Can either rent a snake, or get one off Amazon (or wherever) for less than $30
This one has an attachment so you can put your battery drill on it for fast spins...
Most sinks have unscrew p-traps so getting to the drain shouldn't be too hard

>If only one meter for both units, then they cant charge you
Depends on how it's setup. I have a power meter that lets me know what my studio uses based on the 60Amp breaker that runs power out to it.
So, if the duplex is split via breakers, you can figure it out.
Otherwise, they'd have to split the costs or something. That's gonna be tough to figure out who uses more electricity than the other.
I've bought my last 2 mattresses off Amazon and am happy with them. I have a queen sized solid pine bed frame w/o slats sitting the garage if you want it.

Nextdoor would be a great way to find a walker, midday. If they need to get a wagon to take his little ass out, get a radio flyer and load him up!
I second Boric Acid powder. Get a hand held duster like this:
Harris Diatomaceous Earth Powder Duster with 6 Inch Extension Nozzle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LRMN9ZM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2M2YPYY6GAQCPZT99XJ3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Place Boric Acid 1/4 full into the duster and then puff it into every single crack or hole you find in your apartment. Remove every light switch plate and outlet plate and blow the dust into the crevices between the outlet boxes and the walls (that’s where roaches can crawl into your home).
The bugs get this dust on their feet, drag it back to their dens and then they all die.
I do this treatment every 2 years and I have ZERO bugs in my house (and we DID have a roach/“water bug” issue shortly after we first moved in).
Good luck and sorry this is happening, I know how gross it feels and what a bummer it is every time you see them.
Motion lights help a lot! You can get them pretty affordably on Amazon with easy install.
This one is solar too
If you want to get even more into it, try installing a Pi-Hole which is a network-wide adblocker which uses DNS filtering!
Now that I've used it, I can never go without it. I installed it on a Orange Pi and then I just set my DNS for the address of the pi-hole. The pi-hole has a web admin page where you can configure it and view data and stuff. It's one of the best uses for a pi device.

ProTip: Move the xmas lights out of the way, the movement will cause the ring to constantly capture and the lights will interfere with the video.
I ordered some on Amazon and they arrived way quicker than they estimated...like 3 days (compared to the 2 weeks it initially said). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09KZ6TBNY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I live close to this supposed place in the Bixby Knowls area. Sorry to burst your bubble but it's just another gated community. No little people to be seen anywhere. It used to be the driveway of one of the Bixby family houses back in the 1800's.
Edit: If you really want to see for yourself, it's here. But it is a gated community.
You're Eli?
Also, one tip: This isn't a photo of "Sarah S". Real photos of real people would help sell this as a real deal thing.

Can help the city out figuring out which trees need trimming by reporting it through their app :)
They can report the trimming through the city app but apparently that's too hard for them and should be the street sweepers responsibility 🤦♂️
Use the Go long beach app to make a report
Might take a few days weeks or even months but eventually the city will show up to trim the trees :)
Yes they are, unfortunately there's a lot of other services included in the city budget than to prioritize tree trimming.
There's definitely a crew who does it for the city, they just can't magically know where they are needed nor cover the whole city at once.
You can help them out by requesting tree trimming service from the city through the Go Long Beach App on your phone :)
Here's the link for Android, I'm sure apple has it in their app store as well https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mysalesforce.mycommunity.C00D6g000000Cn4NEAS.A0OT6g0000008OIGGA2.app1
After someone coming into our neighborhood and trying to bump my neighbor's lock to his front door I got these security bars that rest on the inside of your door's handle and the ground so that even if the door does get unlocked you can't open it.
https://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-Security-Adjustable-White/dp/B0002YUX8I/
Pretty much any standard lock minus a digital one can be bumped so this is a good solution for that.
I keep pieces of wood in my window channel so that I can open the window enough for my cats to get air but not enough for a human head to fit through. The wood prevents it from being opened further.
I make sure that I have nothing visible in my car. There's not too much you can do about that one if someone wants to break in they will break in.
We meet weekly but as the organizer we do take breaks. We'll be there tomorrow! If you're interested an email goes out as a notification for each meeting, usually a day or two in advance.

I have this book and it has a ton of LB architecture with the history of the buildings. You can pick up a copy at MADE downtown...
Long Beach Architecture: The Unexpected Metropolis
Yes, but you can setup a motion sensing light right above the window and a motion sensing 'water trap' to soak him as well.
I haven’t used this exact product, but they’re all pretty similar I’d guess.
Turns out cedar oil is the primary effective ingredient.
Wondercide - EcoTreat Ready-to-Use Outdoor Pest Control Spray with Natural Essential Oils - Mosquito and Insect Repellent, Treatment, and Killer - Plant-Based - Safe for Pets, Plants, Kids - 32 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074HZHPD9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_J4KB7C2D1D9MTKZDRR8Z
They're fairly easy to install.
get a OBD2 connector and a 12v 'cig power' adapter, (depending on your dashcam) stuff the wiring under/into the headliner and up the side of the dash where it meets the door.
My current car has trim that goes to the bottom of the dash so stuffed it in there. don't see wires anywhere except a touch from the cam to the edge of the radar plate on the windscreen. (that can't be helped with any dashcam, but you cam limit it.)

You should see the custom jackets he made lol
Ministry of Evil: The Twisted Cult of Tony Alamo
https://www.amazon.com/Ministry-Evil-Twisted-Cult-Alamo/dp/B07NKBXFK8
as a lifelong East Coast-dweller turned LB transplant, i find the way humidity works here to be completely incomprehensible tbh. i'm used to summers just feeling much stickier/oppressive in general, so when it actually does start feeling humid here for a few days, i get so thrown off. lol.
i got this portable AC with auto-shutoff for when the temperature is real bad a few months ago, keeps my 400sq ft space nice and cool. it has a dehumidifier setting, but like another commenter said, i don't think that'll help you much rn. AC does dry out the air some already.
might be worth checking out letgo or offerup to get a better deal on a used one, but i'm sure everyone's having that idea this week.
Depending on the type of windows you have there are different options for keeping them opened but unable to be opened further without breaking a window. I still wouldn't leave them open while you're gone. Also motion lights might be enough to scare some people off. If you have the means some portable cameras (I use Arlo) can be triggered by motion and are really obvious when they are recording especially at night so that will probably scare people off too. When my husband was out of town I had a camera where it would see outside if someone was outside my bedroom window and immediately send me a push notification so I'd wake up as it was recording, and could manually trigger the super loud alarm the router you hook them up to makes.
Window locks example- make sure to measure that it's gap is wide enough for your window rail.
Not so much scam avoidance as a safety heads up, but when you check out a place, you should bring along one of these to make sure the electrical outlets are properly wired:
https://www.amazon.com/Electrical-Receptacle-Outlet-Ground-Tester/dp/B0012DHVQ0
I didn't do that at our current house, and lo and behold when we moved in we found that only a handful of the outlets in the house are actually grounded. The rest have the triple socket but are only set up with a two-wire system which doesn't ground. After noticing this and unsuccessfully asking the owners of the house we rent to have an electrician come out to ground the outlets, I found out that as long as the wiring in a dwelling is up to code at time of install, (e.g. if two wire electrical was code, so like, the 70s and before), the wiring is considered to code by the city, even though not having a proper ground is potentially dangerous given today's electronics.
They're selling official Dole Whip, from Dole. And pineapple juice, also from Dole. Granted, you're not at Disneyland, but it's not like you can go to the market and pick up Dole Whip mix. You can buy it on Amazon for $25, but that's more expensive.
Doubt it. He's pretty particular about his glasses. He says he found them on Amazon, though.
It sucks ass for sure.
I recommend good noise cancelling headphones like these Sonys ~$200 on Amazon warehouse. For when you're chilling/cooking/ not talking to wife. And earplugs when you sleep.
Next few months should be a trip.
Luckily fireworks don't bother my dog too much anymore, but my neighborhood is better about not as many fireworks/not as close by.
Our water tasted fine to me but my wife wanted a filter so I bought this reverse osmosis system on Amazon warehouse for about $150. It's about the same price as buying replacement Britta filters and I don't have to clean it or remember to fill it up. Also connected a below the counter hot water dispenser to it which is amazing for tea, coffee, and anytime you need really hot water.
Sometimes I use a theracane for my jaw. I've found great masseuses at massage envy that know how to massage tmj. I'd call around and ask if they have anyone that specializes in tmj/headache.
haha, maybe but some are WAY better than others. I'm just saying this because I went ahead and got myself this one and have not had any issues with it. Really worth spending $20 (especially since it also includes a lifetime warranty)
