I actually got my entire family different colors of these inverted umbrellas from Amazon for Christmas this year. Each is about $20 and they open in reverse so you don't get wet opening it from your car. I got one for myself and everyone at work liked it so much they all got one for themselves! And you can never have too many umbrellas!
I have a horrible time falling and staying asleep. Some of the biggest things that help are a weighted blanket, heated mattress pad, and a white noise app on my phone. Highly recommend BrainFM for white noise- they have different categories for sleep, focusing, etc. and is a lifesaver when I need to drown out my own head. 100% worth the subscription price for me.
Some basic at-home exercise equipment might be a good gift. A good mat, a few hand weights, and resistance bands are all you need, and they take up almost no room if space is tight.
Aside from gifts, the best thing you can do for her is to find her a good psychologist who specializes in neurofeedback and cognitive behavioral therapy, both of which are heavily researched and are amazing. Take a look at the PDF that summarizes research on neurofeedback here:

It has also been available to download on PSN and was just released on disc today
Perhaps a kobo or a kindle or other tablet device to read on? There are several websites that curate the older (out of copyright) Sci-fi that he may find something he missed. I.e faded page or project gutenberg
My boyfriend's grandpa turned 95 last year and we got him a book from the New York Times. It's a nice hard cover book with his name printed on the cover. The pages of the book are made up of the front page of the NYT from his birth date from every year he'd been alive. It's a really cool look back in history, especially for someone 90+ years old. It's also a good gift for someone who can't get out to go do a lot—he was able to flip through pages at his leisure.
Here's where you can order one: https://www.nytimes.com/store/personalized/new-york-times-custom-birthday-book.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=adcopy&utm_campaign=Brand%20|%20Search%20|%20Birthday%20Books&utm_term=new%20york%20times%20birthday%2...
i've heard mixed reviews about them, but there are a few different options out there for DNA genealogy testing. it's maybe not the most personal gift, but it's also fairly unique! i keep debating on getting one for my grandmother with similar interests.
If your mom is big on sentimental gifts, painting some gardening pots might be a nice gift. Paint your own pottery shops will have them, and they can be ready in about a week. You could include a new orchid and gardening supplies, or a gift card to a favorite local nursery.
Is any part of gardening getting more difficult for you mom as she ages? A gardening seat and kneeling pad might make her hobby more comfortable. Or new pruning shears made for people with arthritis/waning hand strength.
In the commentary for the game they talk mention the book "Fire Season" by Philip Connors (Amazon link) as a big inspiration. Sounds like a perfect fit.
I'd check out American Science and Surplus. THat's my go-to page for nerdy/awesome gifts, plus I'm in Chicago so I actually have retail stores around me.
Does he like building stuff? Interested in electronics at all?
Has your mom ever done a 3D puzzle? They are super fun. Something like this perhaps? Amazon has a ton of these as well.
Does he like puzzles? 3D puzzles are a ton of fun and the thick foam pieces are easy to hold and handle. Something like this. There is also a ton more on Amazon.
A squishie!
You can get squishies on Amazon or in stores like Five Below. I've also seen them at Walmart Neighborhood Markets.
Sounds like your boyfriend and I might get along pretty well - I find what I end up buying myself the most with gift cards, or asking others to buy for me, are what I call like "hobby starter kits" - watercolor sets + paper to paint on, a cheap record player (or used one) and some vinyls, comics/graphic novels/books that I've always been interested in but never pulled the trigger on, silly t-shirts that I feel the same about (or just don't feel might be age-appropriate, but are still fun to wear around the house), I also really enjoyed the Acquisition's Incorporated supplement (and like the other guy said Xanathar's is great, though I might guess he already has that). Blu-rays/DVD's of his favorite older shows. A Buddha Board can be sort of fun and ephemeral and sort of "zen" but quirky. You know, a lot of stuff that's sort of useless and unpractical but that I really want but just feel wasteful when I spend my own money on it.
I dunno, I think, really, with smoking weed often the hard part can be to find something that doesn't make you just feel liek your'e wasting time or being unproductive, and mindless little hobbies I feel like can be fun ways to deal with that.
camping beer I haven't tried it, but I am very curious. best backpacking camp chair I've seen
How about an under-cabinet stereo for the kitchen? I got this one for my wife last year and it's great.
Perhaps it's a bit above the 50-100 but some headphones to travel with...I know you can find the Bose in ear headphones for $100 at costco which should be great for his music habit. These should be great...
Got my brother one of these (which he loved), then bought one for myself. Pretty nice for the price, and guys like playing with knives.

To see if a PC can run a game.
It checks your PC, and I know you are not actually using his PC at the moment, but it will still give you a list of minimum requirements anyway, which you can cross-reference with his specs.
You could get her a cute travel pillow if she's doing a lot of airplane or train travel. You could also get her an e-reader to make it easier for her to read on the go.
Try a fitbit, some are less expensive than others. Does she have a smartphone or an mp3 player with bluetooth? These headphones are wonderful for walking or running.
Maybe write different movies that can be found on Netflix or whatever other streaming service she has access to either on scraps of paper or popsicle sticks and put them in a jar. When she wants to watch a movie she can pick one out and have something to watch and remember you were thinking of her.
As a bonus you can offer to watch the movie with her through something like https://www.netflixparty.com/
Maybe offer to do a baking tutorial with her via video? Giver the recipe in advance and then bake it together? My aunt always did cookies in a jar (all of the dry ingredients measured out into a mason jar) and gifted them to us for the holiday.
Raspberry pi is a credit card sized computer, linux based, that can be paired with an Arduino micro controller for programming awesomeness. You can order it, along with a bunch of accessories/bundles here.
If your dad is a tech geek, and likes to mess around with building computers/gadgets, you could get him a Raspberry pi . They are so cool! You can buy them from Newark.com with the accessories in a bundle for around $100 including shipping.
I got my SIL a charcuterie board, but the neat thing about it (I think) is that it’s a lazy Susan one. It also comes with some dishes for olives and cheese knives. eletecpro Cheese Board and Knife Set Acacia Wood,Round Rotating Charcuterie Meat Platter & Serving Tray Board,Cheese Pairings With 2 Sided Marble Plate,3 Ceramic Bowls 2 Ceramic Cutlery 6 Forks https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BZ392G8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_llR1FbDW6QT4Z?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If that link works. It’s the one that we got specifically. They just got a new house and while entertaining isn’t possible now I know she likes to entertain. I think it’s really cool and would’ve gotten one for myself, but my husband says we can’t have to charcuterie boards.
What about a guitar pick punch? Sounds like he's got a creative streak and might enjoy finding cool shit to make into picks.
How about a 3D puzzle like a marble run? The Ferris wheel one looks cool too. Here's one on Amazon.
Chemistry + Cooking = The Science of Cooking Cookbook ?
Edit: realizing this is relevant but not “equally as amazing” as requested :)
What's your budget?
Boston Sports
We have a Tom Brady FatHead that watches games with us: link Pretty silly. They also have a "game day" one where he's wearing a helmet and a Gronk one.
Tickets to a game for your family. Minor league games are really fun (Pawsocks!) if you can't afford the major league ones.
I assume he already has all the jerseys and hats he could ever want.
Non Boston Sports
Google Home or Amazon Echo. They also have lots of smart home things you can add on like power outlets, light bulbs, locks, and thermostats.
Kindle or tablet, maybe with a New England case?
Automatic amazon if he likes doing stuff with his car.
Google Cardboard. This was a huge hit with my dad even though it was something like $10.
I don't know if he drinks, but I've been wanting to get or make a mini disc golf basket for bottle caps for my husband. I found (one on Amazon)[https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MYM6PRU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_oAldDbHMMB34G], though decently under your budget.
Get your dad “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance”. Classic cool book. Also I’m willing to bet he’s a Steve McQueen kinda guy. Get one of his old movies on DVD and watch it with him. Quality Dad time right there.
A decent bottle of bourbon goes for around 25-30 bucks. Buffalo Trace, Bulleit whiskey are both very good.
“Paddle Your Own Canoe” book by Nick Offerman. Get that and a book by Jack London like the Call of the Wild or White Fang. Or both! Cheap paperbacks that will bring him back to being a young boy reading those fantastic novels.
National Park Scratch off poster. I got this one for my aunt and she loved it. Amazon has a bunch of ideas, but Etsy has cuter ones.
From someone who is currently in a computer-related field, coffee is important! A fun insulated mug might be the way to go! Or something interesting to put on his desk. Something techy?
If she likes reading, maybe an e-reader of some sort? There are several in your price range. But it might be more personal to make her a book-themed gift basket. With things like a book journal, a mug with a bookish saying on it (perhaps with something from her favorite book/series?), nice bookmarks, a fancy tea or coffee, reading snacks, etc. Maybe even a cozy blanket? I know pretty much every reader would really appreciate something like that. You could sneak in a gift certificate to Amazon/B&N/wherever she buys books too.
I had a subscription to Counter Culture for years. Save a couple months where our renew didn’t go through, they were fantastic. It’s pricey, but the quality is excellent.
Seattle Coffee Works has a coffee club (free shipping on any orders you make, in-store discount, no scheduled coffee delivery). They’re more budget friendly and great quality.
I’m a firm believer that buying whole bean and grinding yourself right before brewing makes a big difference! I have two of these and they’ve held up for 8+ years. Great for smaller amount of coffee. Also highly recommend a zojirushi thermos if he takes his coffee to go- I use them when commuting and they’ve survived being tossed in a bag and jumbled around for 4 hours, and the coffee was still piping hot and hadn’t spilled a drop.
don't know which mmorpgs your brother is into/has, but if he doesn't have Guild Wars 2, its currently on sale for $20 here. unlike most MMOs, theres no subscription fee, which is pretty nice.
This brand has soft, skin colored bodies. They also make a twin pack of 2. You can see the body in a review photo:

Soft body with hard, rotatable arms. 18". Cute, affordable accessories for the most part. I have bought this brand and it has held up for a couple of years although my kid likes plush animals better and dolls hardly get any use.
Hi everyone! Thank you so much for the ideas! I ended up going with an outdoor yard game! Hopefully the link copies correctly:

Tibetan singing bowls are my favorite meditation focus object. The soothing vibrations are delightful to those seeking to quiet their mind. Their use inherently promotes mindfulness by requiring concentration with little thought.
You "rub' the side of the bowl with the included striker and the bowl "sings".
They are beautiful. Get a handmade one from a Nepalese/Tibetan handicraft shop online or resale shop if you can. It's easy to tell the handmade ones because they're irregular and clearly hammered by hand. Like this one. They're made of various metals like silver and copper, and will last a lifetime and look great on a shelf so they make a great gift.
They start small and the large ones have such a strong vibration that they are more like a gong. You could easily find one sized to meet your price range.
Quartz Crystal singing bowls are a similar option, the sound is more uniform since they're machine precision made. The character of the sound is different, and it's down to preference what you like using.
How about a Bob Ross coffee cup? A painting appears behind him when hot liquid goes in. It’s $17.99 on Amazon so you could add a $5 Starbucks card to it.
Oh, but I don’t know when you need it by? This says it would get to my place by the 21st. (I’m in Texas too.)

Or, this might be more fun, do you have a Cracker Barrel close by? I went the other day and they have so much fun stuff in the shopping section. Stuff that could be a gag gift or stuff that’s really cheesy, or stuff that’s glittery. Plus they have all the old timey candy and sodas. You could make a bundle with all the old timey stuff.
Since he likes regular games, I’d get him Cult Following: The One True Game and its adult expansion pack: Cult Following: Not Safe for Worship.
I love games, and this is one that’s been a hit when I’ve brought it to game nights. Even players that aren’t typically into creative or improv-oriented games love being part of the cult recruits/audience who ask the cult leaders kooky questions.
It’s not a well-known game, so it’s almost guaranteed he won’t have it. And since he’s into DnD, the improv/role playing aspect will be right up his alley.
Seconded. As a MTG player there is nothing better than cracking packs. Innistrad: Crimson Vow is the newest set, maybe go to a local game store and ask if they have a gift bundle like this, it comes with set boosters and a collector booster which is super cool. Also if they're into PC gaming, a Steam gift card is always awesome.
OBDII Scanner? Almost everything now needs to be checked via computer now if you’re working on a car. They also sell little dongles that are Bluetooth enabled to be used with a phone app.
Here’s one example. May not be the best one.

Go to etsy, type in your price and "earrings" + her favorite gem/color. Do you know her style? Does she prefer gold or silver? Several artists offer hand-stamped earrings, so you could have her name and your name on them. Pearls are also pretty and stylish, without breaking the bank- these for example.
I got my niece one of those Polaroid cameras with the replaceable film. That way she can take pics of her friends/family and hang them around her room or whatever

If it were a slightly higher budget, I would suggest a neat scratching post (if it isn't declawed) like this King Kong inspired one. You should look at Neatoshop & Think Geek's pet options, though.
Then fill it with his favorite candy and the best one or two pictures of you. Then get clear plastic out flat, place mug on, wrap it up and tie a ribbon with his favorite color around it. * If you can get one of those pictures from those machines that take like 4 pics of you (in movie theaters a lot) and put that in.
Has she ever done any 3D puzzles? I've done a bunch and they are a ton of fun. Something like: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/p/toys-games-puzz3d-notre-dame-cathedral/24155248?ean=890382000251. There are also a bunch listed on Amazon as well.
Sounds like a good candidate for etsy gifts. I'd suggest checking out TheOrangeCollective for all kinds of vintage fashion and decor (they're having a sale today).
My sister and I have a hard time buying for our Mom every year too. We bought her a kindle a few years ago that she still adores. Last year we got her a tablet, which she uses every day. We just bought her a roku for this year, which will allow her to watch Netflix on the TV without stealing my AppleTV. For something personalized perhaps your Mom would like a unique family tree.
Easy. raspberry pi. $35. It's a small computer with HDMI out that's about the size of an altoids container. People have made them into arcade emulators, media servers, remote controlled helicopters, etc. The possibilities are endless.
Sport headphones would be great for the outdoors and cycling. You could also look for outdoor gear that would translate well to cycling, like a nice water bottle or hydration backpack. A flexible tripod could be fun way to combine her love of photography and the outdoors.
Do you know if she likes using a mic while gaming? A lot of the women gamers I know actively avoid voice chat because they've had so many miserable interactions.
Better yet, get her a TS vinyl AND a record player ($49 on Amazon)
Victrola Vintage 3-Speed Bluetooth Portable Suitcase Record Player with Built-in Speakers | Upgraded Turntable Audio Sound| Includes Extra Stylus | Peach Rose Gold (VSC-550BT- TPG) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08ZG8Y6CT/
If he’s into golf and other sports, he might enjoy disc golf. Do you have a disc golf course in your area? If you aren’t sure, you can search on this website. For the gift, you can get him a disc golf starter set of discs. I’d recommend this one from Latitude 64. You’d be giving him the gift of a brand new sport and hobby to learn.
In a situation like this, I almost feel like going small and funny is best. Maybe something like this? It's a simple joke that he'll actually get some use out of, especially if he does any kind of office work.
Expanding Universe. The Hubble Space Telescope (English, French and German Edition) https://www.amazon.com/dp/3836583631/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_Pl65FbV4829HF
One time a guy who was into me bought me this book and then I married him!
Action Day Planner is my absolute favorite. Having a detailed weekly spread and a spot for 3 different types of lists works so well for me. There's also a full year calendar in the front cover, and a pocket in the back.
If you Google “gift for outdoorsy man” or something similar you’ll find lots of gift guides. I happen to like this axe from Amazon. I don’t camp or surf or hike or have a small dog but I do think this is a really cool looking gadget.
Have you thought about a cute loose-leaf tea strainer/infuser? Yes, there are plain ones, but you might consider one of the cute animal ones. For example, a cute manatee one I found: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00B5EE0A6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_1OR1Fb27JMHCR I'm sure they have cats, dogs, or anything else she likes.
I'd recommend a hand warmer, if she gets cold it will be handy for that and even if she doesn't everybody could use a power bank, some also have a flashlight built in
A mug warmer with some hot cocoa mix or snacks might be nice, especially if she's the type to nurse a drink during classes or while reading a book.
I have a subscription with an automated gift giving service for my coworkers. Had the same exact boss, they sent her this
She loved it.
My husband is like this, and it makes gift giving so challenging! Some of his favorite gifts are upgraded or sentimental daily use items, like a spill-proof waterbottle or thermos he can toss in his bag, hand painted mugs, or a new wallet that better fits his style. Any improvement to something he uses all the time is a big hit.
You mentioned your partner has a lot of memorabilia. Could you get him a gift that displays his memorabilia, like some cohesive frames, shelving, or lighting to show it off? Custom frame shops often offer museum quality glass that minimizes fading and damage over time.
This cup might be a good future idea as far as DnD goes. It comes from Ukraine which might not be good for something quick. I’ve also gotten my boyfriend DnD battle mats from Amazon.
MIL: Maybe something like an aerogarden or personalized cutting/ charcuterie board.
FIL: A unique whiskey decanter and glasses
Or for both, look into unique games on Amazon - there are a ton and would work for both.
This is something handy for work as a stocking stuffer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078F6PBH1/ref=cm_gf_aAM_i11_d_p0_c0_qd0___________________VpnlUHFpSTs14HGh3Efw

I have one of these, don’t know where he lives, but could come in handy. WoneNice Portable Small Fan & Mini-air Conditioner, Runs On Batteries Or USB-Blue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BLY433E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Ung.Cb2QADS56
Hmm, a 3D printing pen would be good and the cheap ones only run about $25 but he might already have one. If he does, you could get him some filament, or a useful tool like a caliper. The Zombie Apocalypse Guide to 3D printing looks like an awesome gift!!
If he misses his cats and dogs, this could be a good gift.
I have one and my dog loves the snacks that come out.
If she loves puzzles, you could get her a portable puzzle table, like this: Bits and Pieces - 1500 Piece Puzzle Caddy-Porta-Puzzle Jigsaw Caddy - Puzzle Accessory Puzzle Table https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D51CGAW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_fGieCbEWRF1GZ
We use this one (neither me or partner has throid issues, and we don't use this consistently just when we get a cut). Still, I don't have any special medical expertise, so if you're concerned about the risks then perhaps something else more conventionally used to help cuts heal quickly would still be a nice gift!
Business books can be fun (yes, I'm a dork). There are some that are totally fun, non-stuffy, and very interesting:
Investing/finance:
And on a more art/philosophy angle, how about a bust of one of the old greek philosophers like Aristotle or Plato?
Price level? However I'd suggest two things, first How To Win Friends and Influence People and The 48 Laws of Power, two great books for people around this age.
More to his interest, I'd definitely figure out what model computer he has and maybe looking into getting him some overclocking gear. It's a fun hobby and it can really make your computer RUN. Now personally I know very little about this, but I'm sure the people at /r/gaming could help you out.
If he doesn't have one already, a gaming keyboard with macro buttons and extra weight, a really high quality gaming mouse, or a noise cancelling headset/speaker. I don't game much personally but these are all things my brother invested in after he got his job as an engineer and could afford to blow money on his hobby. The keyboard is probably the one that he doesn't have, as I only know one or two non-competitive gamers that have them, while the good mouse and headset are generally pretty essential. OH but make sure the headset you get him is surround sound, that will make the difference between them being usable and used until they're completely worn out. I had one that I used to game with casually and I could hear if another player was coming from behind me vs in front of me. Seriously so cool.
This is right at the top of your budget, but they are really cool (I gave one to my parents last year). If he likes to cook (fresh herbs/spices) and garden in the summer, he may enjoy it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IK7PLZI/
A nice scarf and glove set, slippers or slipper boots, movie tickets, a magnet vent phone holder (they're awesome) are a few ideas.
https://www.amazon.com/WizGear-Universal-Swift-Snap-Technology-Smartphones/dp/B00PGJWYJ0
Do you think they would like a game you can all play together? Sequence (https://www.amazon.com/Jax-8002-Sequence-Game/dp/B00000IVAK) is a fun and Pictionary (https://www.amazon.com/Mattel-DKD47-Pictionary-Game/dp/B0145GMV7Y/) is great for getting to know people better.
This seems like a poor choice for the work environment, but this is almost exactly $15.
You could get her a bottle of Il Bastardo and some cheese or chocolates.
A cellphone battery recharger.
This looks cool (alcohol related but not alcohol) https://www.amazon.com/Bud-Light-Bluetooth-Speaker-Wireless/dp/B073214RL4/ref=lp_6393975011_1_7?srs=6393975011&ie=UTF8&qid=1511377697&sr=8-7
On the guitar front, I'm an avid guitarist....and love to get good quality guitar gifts.
A good one would be a G7th Capo. Beautifully designed, unobtrusive capos and great customer service if anything goes wrong.
Another gift I really appreciate was a pick maker. Guitar store picks are overpriced. This gizmo lets you make your own picks from almost anything flat and plastic. Not only thrifty, but great fun experimenting on what makes the best pick for your playing style.
I'd recommend science-y books if I knew her specialty? Since you said outdoors, an outing set is nice. A blankie, small light cutting board, flask, etc?
Go with a Kindle. Not the tablet-like Fire, a traditional kindle like this one. The tablets are hard ont the eyes, but these ones aren't.
32M, gadget geek, gamer, IT worker here.
Have you though about Lego? The Technic line includes working models with gears, chains, etc. Amazon US link
Other model related items could be an airbrush if he doesn't have one, or a hobby knife (xActo) handle and blade set.
Since he likes music, getting tickets to a concert that he'd enjoy would probably be perfect considering you're still in a pretty new relationship. Alternatively, LL Bean makes some pretty awesome slippers that are perfect for this time of year or you could go with a nice leather dopp kit.
If she likes classic cooking, you can get a nice hardcover set of both of Julia Childs "The Art of French Cooking" cookbooks for around $60, i believe. That plus a great cast iron pan and maybe some spices that are a bit of a splurge (think saffron and vanilla bean) would be a great cooking themed gift!
Cute wine markers (have cats and dogs): link
Other than that, a nice aerator or wine bottle opener?
For a pet, an activity tracker or petcam might be nice.
Can you get her the steel ice cubes? Not as the whole gift but as part of it. I think they're really cool but I don't drink scotch.
