Kinda sorta. It's not a proper luffa/loofah, but that word has come to mean pretty much any bath scrubber, including those like the one pictured.
In a lot of places people don't even realize that natural luffas/loofahs exist.
Maybe if I give a link to the actual tool, unlike the poster above, maybe I'll get an upvote:

Not bad, but I’d be interested in seeing how much torque you could apply on a small object before the chain distorts/slips to the side. With this design, it looks like there would be a lot of “wiggle room”, which is why most commercial models try to fix the chain as close to the object as possible. Eg: this, or this. This DIY design also limits you to open ended fixtures that you can slip it over; no working on attached pipe systems. Easy fix to both issues would be making one side detachable, with a hook or cross pin.
Tupperware’s citrus peeler looks like that. I love my “orange opener” It used to be you could only get them by winning a game at a Tupperware party. But now you can buy them in packs of 10 on Amazon

I'm a bricklayer and this is something I'd be interested in using. The only thing that worries me is the spring would get filled with mortar and not work after a while. I currently use this product (see bottom of comment for awful link) and it works very well with minimal moving parts
MSRP is $30 for Six "rings"... they state it is about a "six month supply".... looking further, it says that each ring "contains about 25 bags"....
Where I can get a 300 pack of "Kitchen Bags" from Amazon for the same price.., and I don't need to worry if the trash can is charged up, and/or sealing correctly either.
Overall, my favorite is a carrot-based sauce (rather than vinegar): Marie Sharp's Habanero (https://www.amazon.com/Marie-Sharps-Sauce-Habanero-Pepper/dp/B0030KLW0Y). So amazingly flavorful.
For vinegar-based sauces, I'm partial to Cholula. Quite nice on eggs.
I highly recommend the book Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach. Really interesting look into the all the interesting stuff that can happen to your body after death - from typical mortuary stuff like this to organ donation to scientific research.

Yes, cool but for actual coin sorting you want one that is easier and faster to use, and drops the coins into rollers. While that one sorts, you'd still have to count out the coins and wrap them. Try this: https://www.amazon.com/Royal-Sovereign-Manual-Counting-QS-1/dp/B006J36V8M

Okay, that's nice! I've been doing something similar the last year or two. Been using reusable shopping bags instead of wrapping or the like. Almost everyone uses them these days and they don't look terrible and usually aren't wasted. I usually get plain colored ones so they aren't too girly for men to use, too.

I have a small dedicated ice maker that works the exact same way, that we use because we live in an old house that doesn't have a waterline to the freezer. We paid about $90 for it. It makes about a pound of ice an hour, which is more than we need.
I think this is the exact one we have: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00INXG9MY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_JAOzBbAFBB594
They're rather common and are available anywhere from Harbor Freight to Home Depot. This is the set that I own.
It only works if the nail is already sticking up enough to get the teeth under. Which you can't do without driving a cat's paw under the head of the nail in 99.9% of situations, so damaging the wood a bit is a given. You can avoid most of the damage to the wood by just being careful and putting another board under the bend of the cat's paw so it dents the throw away wood instead of what ever you are taking it out of
I honestly can't think of a single situation where this would have been useful in all my years on job sites. It's an interesting gimmick? But just using a cheap cat's paw would do the same thing in basically every situation
Edit: holy crap, I just realized this isn't even /r/DiWHY

You can buy this on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/vertical-horizontal-Stapler-HD-10V-Hotchi-Kuru/dp/B000O9WRYO
Just note that it uses #10 mini staples and they're not always available at your local shops so you are probably better off getting them online as well. It also has a limit of 7 cm from the edge of the paper to where you want to staple, so it doesn't work best with booklets that are bigger than A5. Despite those conditions, it's a pretty neat stapler to have; it helped me through quite a few school projects.
I bought this at a bookstore in Hong Kong.
It is a real product, or at least similar:
https://www.amazon.com/Emson-EZCracker-Handheld-Cracker-Separator/dp/B0035XHY08
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TE_9vYYa0FQ
I have one, which I fortunately did not pay for. It works, eh, ok. It's a bit finicky, and it might save you a bit of time if you needed to crack several hundred eggs (and could get the hang of it), but for everyday use when you factor in cleaning it's just overkill even when it works. Can't say how it would be for someone with a disability, though.
These already exist . . . they spent many hours to save $10 on buying a cat's paw. Except a cat's paw actually works and won't bend as soon as you try to use it on a nail that's not sitting loose in old wood because you used crappy steel for the "teeth" of the nail puller.
You could have used your fingers to just pull out the loose nails shown in the gif, they were already sticking out of the wood and everything.
It looks great on the video but a lot of the reviews state that the measurements are off by sometimes quite a bit making it unreliable and essentially useless.

It's a resin cast.
I poured wax into the mold. The first time I tried this I didn't let the mold cool enough and the hot wax melted the mold and fused to it, but I was able to cut out the fused bits and remelt and recast.
I stuck the wax blank down to the lid of a small plastic container I got from the dollar store.
I made two holes in the bottom of the container. One in the center to push the drill bit through, and one at the edge to pour the resin in.
I used some of this resin that I'd had left over from a tabletop.

I don’t know why you’re so incredulous about pineapple tools. You can get one on Amazon for literally $5. You just cut the top off with a knife, then twist in the pineapple tool and pull it out to get a perfect corkscrew.
Was gonna say, something like the Staedtler pencil holder is infinitely cheaper and more convenient than this method
They’re a lever lock wire connector, they can be used anywhere where you would’ve used a wire nut. I don’t think I’ll ever pick up a wire nut again since I found them. Each wire gets its own terminal, so there’s less to tear apart if you have to modify down the road.
Wago actually makes a lot of different electrical supplies, but their lever lock connectors are what they’re known best for.
If you're using mobile, try Relay for reddit, it lets you change playback speed. If on desktop, use Reddit enhancement suite, lets you do the same thing.
For stuff like concerts, you'd want earplugs that lower the decibel of what goes into your ear. This makes the relative sound quieter but still clear and allows you to hear and understand with clarity.

Found this one on Amazon, looks to be pretty similar. They're pitching it to people with arthritis, so presumably (hopefully), gripping and turning the handle like that is easier for people who need help, than doing it manually.
At a guess, even if it takes the same amount of rotational wrist strength, it at least would require much less compressive grip strength. And if the handle acts as a lever, turning it might be easier as well, though I'm not sure about that.
Opened a twin size for my daughter. She was 3 and standing relatively close and as you can guess the thing sprung out and flung her across the room. 9/10 would do it again.
Edit: the one I had was compressed and rolled up. So it did snap out as soon as the plastic was split.

I don’t think that’s completely true here in Texas, at least for animals that have been trapped. I ate at a restaurant here in Austin that sells some wild game. I struck up a conversation with their butcher, who had been butchering a wild boar. He did say that the animal has to be slaughtered in front of a a USDA inspector. I have a buddy with a cattle ranch, so this is very relevant to my interests.
Edit: The chef/owner of the restaurant has a really good cookbook for wild game and fish. His place, Dai Due, was named one of the ten best new restaurants in America by Bon Appétit magazine a few years ago.

Man, CNET has just become trash. Autoplaying video with sound, ads everywhere, and a shitty 'scroll the page up and down to move a tiny window you can see the header image through' design? Ugh.
You know what? Fuck it. Article content with links to CNET removed and Amazon links replaced with non-tracking ones:
>Sonic ice fans listen up, there's a sweet deal headed your way.
>The price of the Firstbuild Opal Nugget Ice will drop $100 on July 16. The portable home ice maker will be one of over 1 million items discounted during Amazon's annual Prime Day promotion.
>Shaving $100 off of the Opal Nugget Ice's $499 list price may not sound earth shattering. But if you're a devotee of this particular frozen confection it'll be welcome news. Crunchy yet soft and easy to chew, nugget ice (also known as pellet ice) is tough to find. It's typically served up by fast food chains such as Sonic, Zaxby's, and Chick Fil A. Gas station franchise Thortons also sells bags of the stuff.
>[picture album that is less useful than the Amazon pictures]
>These outfits all either produce their ice in house or rely on their own network of distributors. And before the Opal, the only way to make nugget ice at home was to buy a pricey high-end appliance or a commercial machine for thousands a pop. So a further slash in price for the Opal is bound to make it even more tempting to pellet ice addicts.
>As all Amazon Prime Day specials, however, this deal won't last long. It should stick around for 36 hours before expiring or until inventory melts away.

I guess.. you could start by learning the definition of violence?
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/violence
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Violence
Some people sitting on the ground where they could easily be walked around is not violent. Is it legal? Maybe not. But it doesn't warrant a violent response. The comparison to cars blocking a highway or whatever is ridiculous and pathetic. Sure, if they had laid down across the freeway that would make some sense. That's not what they did.

Top rated one on Amazon is $16.71. I guess it might depend on what you mean by "a decent sized roll", but I have one and it's the size of a regular roll of tape, so I would call it "decent sized".
Yes, I use round material like this for gaskets, and I've also used flat versions for belts. The welding is the heating of both ends of the polyurethane to make it stick together to make a ring/belt (the part the handy tool in this thread does much more neatly and precisely). Mind you, nothing I'm doing is super critical or needs high strength or I would use a better joining method, I always make several at the same time in case one breaks.
Many call it a butter crock or a French butter dish.
Here's an Amazon link to one: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B076H7313Z/
What it does is keeps the butter from soiling at room temps by preventing air from getting to it. Butter actually lasts quite a long time before turning rancid.
So, for shits and giggles let's do this thing.
Worth its weight in gold, even if taken literally doesn't mean you fashion the tool out of gold and that's it's worth. So the fact that gold is heavy is irrelevant. It means you take the weight of the tool 0.64 oz on Amazon for the shipping weight,1 and it's value would come from how much .64 oz gold is worth.
.64oz is about 18 grams, and 18 grams of gold would be worth, at 24 karat gold, about $5302
I believe this is a reversible tool holder by NOGA, about $40 on Amazon.

"Like a moth to a flame" is an actual thing that works in a dark room. Not that im a total pyro, its just the lighter is usually handy and has a little more reach than a kleenex.
Have a full sized torch sitting here too for dabs, but i would probably catch something on fire or melt some linoleum or a countertop using it for killing bugs.
But regarding the smell, even if youve ever done ants and a mangifying glass, it was probably outside, not in a small bathroom, so you probably wouldnt notice.

They've been at Target more than 8 years. I used to ask "can you put a magic sticky strap on that" when I was living in a larger city and taking the bus everywhere, and that was over 8 years ago.
They actually had some made by Scotch at my store last quarter. Then they went clearance. Then they went past clearance and I convinced my assistant manager to let me buy the 5-packs for a quarter each (less with discount) so I could keep them in my car for when I'm at a non-Target place.
You can buy huge quantities of non-Scotch ones on Amazon also.
Awesome if you've got room to get one in. Alternatively, if you have something sturdier than the thing you're trying to pull out (a bigger tree), heavy straps, an old wheel and a come-along will usually do the same thing, just slower.
If you anchor to a tree you want to keep, make sure you put some scrap wood between the strap and the tree to protect the bark. A few chunks of old 2x4 will do the trick.

I previously bought nearly identical ones that were junk, but I knew that I was taking that risk for the price, and I returned them to Amazon no problem after they died about a week after install.
