Just gonna hijack your comment to post the current top post on /r/dataisbeautiful, a comparison between the actual main causes of death in the US, causes of death people in the US actually search for on Google, and causes of death by the amount of media coverage they receive.
If I had to pick a book published this year for every adult to read, I'd choose Factfulness, by Hans Rosling. It's a book about the instincts that stop us from looking at and understanding the data that we think we know. Right now I'm on a section where he talks about how the news media likes to focus on 'exciting' stories, namely famines, earthquakes, wars, that kind of stuff. An interesting thing to note is that these sorts of things have been happening for all of settled human history, and today, when a disaster happens at all, the casualties are a fraction of what they would have been, because we now live in a world where resources around the globe can be mobilized to assist. People whose parents never learned to read now serve as aid workers, ferried in by helicopter with international teams of experts to provide healthcare and food to the afflicted. This is nothing short of a miracle, yet the focus of the media is always on the deaths that they were too late to avert. A bad world is rapidly getting far better, but the news, not entirely by their own wishes, serve to make us think the world is only getting worse.
Man, if only there was something to make reddit better, right? Like.. I don't know.. some Reddit Improvement Tool.. or... hmm... a Reddit Enhancement Suite? :)
Now you, too, can live in a bubble. Like all those political subs on reddit (especially the US american ones) and filter out anything you don't like from your r/all. Cheers!
Models by Mark Manson
TRP gets demonized for its extremism just like political parties. The moderate version of it is okay but the problem is their official "philosophy" is that there is no moderation or debate it's either you believe all of what we say or you're delusional, which is a poor method of presenting a point and is also untrue.
The self improvement is really good and the whole idea of not being a doormat and being more confident and all that but it turns into a circlejerk because there is no debate allowed at all and that leads to extreme opinions and lots of other nonsense.
Models is good because it takes all the good of TRP and the pick up movement (which is a bit different still than TRP and both are a bit different than MRA but there's a decent overlap) and filters out the whiny generalizations and such while still keeping it real.
TRP is not a good way to become a better man. It's like looking at the_donald for rational conservative opinions.

I can find references to studies suggesting it could be explained in another way, but what I've found seems to show a consensus that it does, in fact, exist.
So I'd love links to your purported "endless" studies.

that's close but I think Talib has a better interpretation

His thesis is that it's rooted in white fear. The n-word comes from white fear of black people. As an oppressed group would you not like to be something your oppressors fear? And it's in this mindset that the word is reclaimed. The only thing i outright disagree with in that post is the Louis CK bit. I know people LOVE that joke but I think it's moronic saying the word or saying the euphemism still puts the word in your head. Euphemisms have their purpose and to ignore that is to ignore social structure of language itself.
>Niggers were dangerous and had to be stopped. Soon, some blacks began to call themselves nigger as a badge of honor, which lead to a term of endearment. Why wouldn’t you want to embody that which most scares your oppressor and change its meaning?

>Piers Morgan suggested in his piece that blacks are aware of the history of the word. I would challenge that and say that most Americans, black or white, remain unaware of the history of the last ten years, much less the history of a word that was invented during the Atlantic slave trade. Knowing that nigger is considered a bad word with racial connotations is not at all the same as knowing its history.
and this is how you end up in this usage situation we're in now. Again I highly recommend you read the whole thing. When people talk about rappers being the teachers of the poor black community, it's rappers like Heavy D, Public Enemy and KRS-One being able to drop knowledge like this that gave them that reputation.
Fascism 101: The enemy is both strong and weak. “By a continuous shifting of rhetorical focus, the enemies are at the same time too strong and too weak.”
I'll be there every Monday, Saturday and Sunday until the 19th of this month. More details at antoniocomedy.com, come out and say hello. Also, here's the Groupon. https://www.groupon.com/deals/gl-eastville-comedy-club-8
I actually found it in this Quora post which seems to have the images mirrored there if that helps. I still don't know how accurate it is because I didn't really review it.
Nope, I wasn't looking for that at all.
You are right that it is correct, but my version was already correct too.
It is not one or the other.
It may sound odd to some, but it wasn't incorrect. My grammar may not be the most commonly used, and may be redundant, neither of those things make it wrong.
"Your one" and "yours" both mean the same thing and can be used interchangably. So I already had a correct wording, so had no need to look for anything.
Reference > An entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables – slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our great war is a spiritual war. Our great depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars, but we won't. We're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.
Women are actually far more likely to be the perpetrators of domestic violence.

To be fair, escalators can break in a lot of different ways, presumably some making them unsafe even when stationary.
For example, what if the breaks were faulty and the stairs started to slide uncontrollably with enough weight?

Also know Tamar, so glad to see some of his stuff posted here. Here's a link to his album on Amazon for those of us that refuse to use Itunes.
Head on over to r/curlyhair. The Curly Girl method, which is what we use over there, requires using sulfate and silicone free hair products. So if you are looking for that kind of product, that's where you want to look because the sidebar has a link to a giant list of sulfate-free hair products, including shampoos, conditioners, styling products, and much more. My brand of choice is Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner (any version works awesome for me but this is my favorite), which can be bought on Amazon for like $12 a bottle or $20 for a set, and styling products are similarly priced. There are cheaper options out there, too, if you're on a tight budget.
Bonus points if you actually have curly hair because the CGM is honestly fucking amazing. I was skeptical at first but finally tried it about 2 months ago and it has changed the way I view, care for, and style my hair and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results.
Good luck!
My pleasure, the album is legit. Bought it without previewing it based on your submissions here.

Love your response to the heckler.
The joke is that my wife is recovering from surgery and has doctors orders not to lift more than 20 lbs.
Instead of taking over the harder household chores, I instead made all the chores not require lifting more than 19 lbs.
That is not that funny, but in the middle of the joke I led people to believe that the punchline was going to be some hackneyed stale joke about "discovering how much my wife contributes and having a realization about that."
So people are mostly reacting positively to the misdirection within the joke.
Also, the book that really helped me the most in learning chess was "The Opening for You" by Larry Evans. https://www.amazon.com/Chess-Opening-You-Complete-System/dp/0890580200
I use the Kings Indian Reversed opening and no sees it coming.
Again, what sources do you get your political information from? Don't dodge that question again.
Another lesson for you. You can get unbiased information form many sources, no one said you should get it from 1 so not sure why you;re going on about that.
The MSM is very real. 6 companies own about 95% of the stuff that feeds through your TV, newspapers, and internet. You should absolutely know what that chart looks like so you can open your eyes to how they push certain agendas. If you need further explanation on why that's bad then you need to do the independent research because I can tell you won't be able to learn or understand what I say.
That's still not ironic, you're making the common mistake people make with that word. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/irony
Let me know which definition of irony you're attempting to use and I"ll let you know why you're wrong.
Talk to ya later sweetie, seems like you're following my account around so we'll talk again.
I know some of you might be thinking, "But if you get addicted to cocaine, you might wind up sucking a stranger's dick in a back alley."
To which I retort,"...isn't it nice to see people interacting in PERSON again instead of on their phones? This is how God intended it."

My new standup album 'Nihilist Pep Talk' comes out March 18, and is available for pre-order right now on Amazon and iTunes.
Thanks!
There's one, i can find you dozens. You've decided to see things a certain way, and can't update your opinion. Likely because of the traumas you've suffered. That's fine. You are being willfully obtuse. The evidence is literally all around you of exactly the cultural destruction I communicated. Also, you seem to be intentionally misunderstanding the vice analogy. Perhaps I should have compared apartheid to giving someone AIDS? Even if the virus is removed, the immune system is destroyed and damage done.
This joke is by Aziz Ansari from his special Buried Alive, available on Netflix here.
You can also see him performing this particular joke on Conan here on YouTube.
This joke is by Jim Gaffigan, from his special Mr. Universe. You can view this joke in video form here on YouTube.

I wrote a book about open mic comedy, it covers my experience getting started in Denver (with some Atlanta, NYC, and Los Angeles). I've had good feedback from open mic comedians in SF and Chicago that bought it.
You can get it from any independent bookseller in America if you request it. It is also available online and on most e-reader platforms.
You can get it for free at your local library if you request it by title/author/ISBN all of which can be found at that Amazon link. If you need support for that message me.
If you are an open mic comedian and want a copy, message me through my website, if you send me a quick open-mic story I'll send you a signed copy for the cost of shipping.
Thanks for any support! If you want to get it somewhere else I'm not offering it, let me know. If I can get it on the Nook I think I can get it anywhere.
my pleasure! Since I happened to have amazon open when I saw this, I went back and found the order for the one I got, here's a link. I think it was on sale when I bought it though, or maybe I had a gift card? Anyway, there were cheaper options; I wanted the heaviest one I could get, on account of being a giant.
I’m not spreading any lies. I just googled “Tom Myers comedian review” and the first article is this one.
And then I saw the rating of your CD in Amazon (2 stars)
Honestly, I’ve never heard any of your work, my first contact with you was this joke, that just fell flat for me.
Also, of course I’m not touring New York, I don’t even live in the US, or work as a comedian
>Philosophy
Lol?
>Science and technology
A handful of figures that get paraded like Gods. Apart from Einstein the plagiarist and a few 20th Century physicists it's all a stretch, really. All of the greatest contributions throughout history were by white (meaning not Jewish) men living in what is called the "blue banana" zone of Europe. Jews weren't doing shit in the middle ages, the Renaissance, or the Enlightenment. Even the Industrial Revolution was done mostly by gentiles. It's only the 20th Century on that we hear their names paraded.
>Arts
There are more significant artistic figures from the West than the rest of the world combined. Yet Jews control the administrative aspects of the art world. But you can continue to deny reality. You can block out the fact that Jews take care of their own and puff themselves up to make people like you believe in their superiority while calling out any other racial group that does the same. Keep flinching from the truth because it makes you uncomfortable.
Literally just write, and write, and write & write. The only way out is through ;) Check out the book 'The War of Art' if you need a kick in the pants. Also, read a lot, then study how those you admire put sentences together & use as inspiration.

There's ways around all alarm systems and doors. If they want in they'll get in. And there's tons of safes that are mounted under desks, on head boards, or easy and quick to grab places that you can open very quickly with finger print activation or a quick access code.

I found a neat Android app that does a reasonably good job of demystifying the whole quantum physics tangle of theory by breaking it up into really small chunks.
I'll admit that I got about 2/3s of the way through it before my brain broke, but I found it pretty useful.
