Dennis Waakop. Don't recognize the name? This is the guy behind Tiesto; literally produced like all of his major trance tracks:

Well won, fantastic mix with a lot of variety. In a contest full of feelz, this one stood out incredibly.
Think we could get complete standings, or at least a few other positions? I'm curious to see how others did.
edit: for those wondering he is now /u/boodgurger
edit2: my mix was (as some people identified easily :P) e. Pretty happy with how it turned out minus the weird EQ shift. Some people said it dragged a bit though early on, so I guess I've got some stuff to work on! Always room for improvement, I'm not going to become kearney overnight hehehe. I put up the mix on mixcloud

https://www.discogs.com/Gouryella--Yoji-Biomehanika-Ligaya-A-Theme-From-Banginglobe/release/407036
In 2002 Ferry was on tour in Japan. During one of the events, he was listening to a set of Japanese DJ Yoji Biomehanika, who had to play in the same club as Ferry that night. At one point, Yoji played a track, which had a beautiful riff in the middle of it. This track grabbed Ferry’s attention straight away, so he wanted to know what track that was. Ferry was standing next to somebody who worked for the Japanese recordcompany Avex, so Ferry asked him if he knew what that track was. The guy replied that it was a track by Yoji Biomehanika himself. It was the track ‘A Theme From Banginglobe’, which would see its release on Yoji’s UK based label ‘Hell House Recordings’.
During Ferry’s next visit to Japan, Yoji and Ferry had a meeting in Osaka, which is Yoji’s hometown. They both had dinner in a nice restaurant and over there they talked about each others productions. Ferry told Yoji that he really liked the melody and the riff of the ‘A Theme From Banginglobe’ track, but that it was too hard to play for him in his sets. So Ferry suggested to do a ‘System F’ remix of it. On the other hand Yoji told Ferry that he really liked the Gouryella track ‘Ligaya’ a lot, but that it was too soft for him to play in his sets. So during the dinner the idea was born that they both would remix each others track. And we all know the result…
After some digging, I'm still fairly sure matan was putting out trance first man.

not that it matters because internet arguments are pointless
> . 14. Simon Templar - Meltwater (Pt. I) [Touchstone]
> When Jussi Paasonen of Winkee sent me Meltwater Pts I and II, I was completely blown away. I didn't think that expansive progressive trance music like this still existed. Pt I has a very unusual intro and structure, and just builds and builds with an unrelenting drive which completely absorbs the listener. It's got a huge yet understated riff - if that is possible (it is in my head anyway). Pt.II is much darker and deeper, the two combined makes for a +20 minutes journey of musical bliss. It's my favourite release on Touchstone Recordings so far. The sleeve is fabulous too. Unfortunately pretty much everybody else ignored this record....

This track just blew me away.
Whatever you think about Armin's music, you can't deny he's a good spokesperson for EDM. He's always very well spoken, knowledgeable about DJing/production/business and seems like a nice guy in general. I also like him in the first epsiode of DI.fm Journeys: https://www.mixcloud.com/trancefamilyglobal/armin-van-buuren-di-journeys-001-31-jan-2015/
The Yearmix for 2008 was pretty good as well.
Hey, Simon has become quite experimental interms of productions and especially DJing in the last 3 years. If you have the time today, listen to this set It's a 3 hour set from mid December where he plays a bit of techno, some tech-trance, quite a lot of psy and he ends with his classics tracks like Us, Thump, F16 etc. This is the best Simon set I've heard in a long time, if you get something close to that tonight you should be happy :)
For an OTC you'll get a very similar progression, the only unknown factor is how much techno he'll play. I've seen him for 3 hour sets where he plays 15-20 minutes, but in others he plays 90 minutes so if you don't like that type of music you might be put off a bit.
Do artists get different royalties depending on what download store something gets bought from? For instance, your album on AudioJelly costs $6, but on Beatport its $17. Would you see any of that difference?
Also is there a reason your album isn't available in Wav on AudioJelly. I only buy Wav music and I am interested in buying your album, but there is no way I am going to pay $34 for it on Beatport.
And if anyone is interested, today and today only, I will provide free copies to any of my tracks to anyone that wants them :) Just PM me your email and i'll send you a link!
Also, Here is a link to my facebook artist page and to all of my tracks to purchase on beatport if you wanna check it out and support your local trance producer :)

P.S I love my girlfriend Yolanda and bestfriend Josh, Thanks for the amazing presents and spending this special day with me <3
Hey all, I'm Danny Chen. I produce trance music, and been producing for about a year now. I'm signed to Armada and Statement. I've been featured on ATB's In The Mix 6, Dash Berlin's Top 15 January, and recently Andy Moor's Breaking The Silence 2 compilation.
I'm still a new producer, learning a lot everyday but I am willing to answer any questions. I use Ableton Live :)
Not in any particular order, but here ya go:
BT (90s BT)
Airwave (logical)
Simon Posford (Hallucinogen and a lot of other projects)
Ralf Hildenbeutel (maybe the German trance guy in the early and mid 00s, just check his Discogs page) M.I.K.E
Oliver Lieb
Harald Blüchel (Cosmic Baby)
Paul van Dyk
Ovnimoon
Ferry Corsten (All tho very cheesy at times, his production capabilities are incredible)
Hypnocoustics (Nowadays it's only one guy, used to be two guys, but the production of Hypnocoustics is amazing)
E-Mantra (Amazing producer)
John 00 Fleming
Will Atkinson
Simon Berry

This was my first time hearing Chakra - Loves Shines Through. Just an incredible set. Although I don't listen to much trance now this set just does it for me.
Not a huge fan of the production quality tbh. Cameraman needs some work.
Here is the audio set if anyone wants. The tracks played are pretty solid tho: https://www.mixcloud.com/globaldjsets/aly-fila-live-future-sound-of-egypt-400-sound-light-pyramids-of-giza-11-sep-2015/
I don't think BT needs any introduction on this subreddit, so let's go with this trance remix of a song that was Guinness certified as the song with the most edits: a staggering 6,178 in just a 4:21 song. The original was released in 2003, but an EP from Black Hole in 2006 had this full remix on it.
Hope you all enjoy your evenings no matter what you have going on! And just remember:
Simply bein' loved loved loved
Is more than enough, yeah yeah
Heres my mix Good Luck to everyone!

Bandsintown works best for me (but its not perfect) alongside this website specifically for Aus/Melbourne. Though I usually end up hearing about upcoming shows first from hearing the artist announce it on their radio show that I listen to - or on social media.
So I've been off Reddit a lot lately and haven't done anything with the radio station, but this weekend I've had a bout of motivation. I made the poll to pick the name for the station. Please vote here!
I would say its the exact same structure as any other trance set. Even with slower progressive trance there are those hard hitting tunes and the more calm ones. Is it an opening set? I typically like starting with 125 bmp and rise to about 132 or whatever the next dj is playing at. I would say the most important thing is to go into these sets with 50-60 progressive tracks you would like to play(10 high energy, 10 low energy, 5 breakbeat, 5 songs you think people will know really well) once you have this arsenal of songs to play, ranging in energy, its just like mixing any other trance set. Although with progressive you tend to mix longer and smoother transitions. Here is an example of one of my sets if you are curious. Hope this helps
Always enjoyed this track.
Too bad their set last year at Ministry of Sound was half bigroom.
I would recommend Dave Seaman's early Renaissance mixes especially discs 1 and 2 of this https://www.discogs.com/Dave-Seaman-And-Ian-Ossia-Renaissance-The-Mix-Collection-Part-4/release/62638
Also, check out Digweed's GU014: Hongkong
As for something more recent, check out this https://www.discogs.com/Thylacine-Transsiberian/master/928428
I'm surprised you guys are just hearing about them now. I remember them being huge in the 90's. It was similar to the fame of that "Barbie Girl" song by Aqua. And besides, it could be worse.. (warning: Juggalo content)
I love that type of music so much, and I think you're right. Sets like this one or this one partly feel much "trancier" than a regular set at a trance event. Paul Ritch, Julian Jeweil and WHYT NOYZ are masters when it comes to this kind of techno/tech house imo. It's melodic (not always) and repetitive and you have a progression throughout the whole set. I think you can see the parallels between (especially) earlier trance and this kind of techno/tech house. The problem we're having now is the use of those feelings. You can get in a trance by listening to all different kinds of electronic music, so you could call it all trance according to that definition. We have to see "Trance music" and "being in a trance" as different things. If I'm listening to a nice techno set I'd know it's not Trance music (cause the most of it is pretty different from what we call techno) but I can still find it very trancey.
I'd spend the extra $100 and spring for the Logitech Z-5500's. It is an amazing speaker set up for the price. I've owned them for years and I'm still impressed by them. Check out the newegg reviews.
Prog house/trance fans. Check this sweet collection out. 100 tracks for $22. I was able to use the steresonic code to get additional 25% off.
Sad this break is coming to an end. Work starts again on Monday. Also starting my Cut and starting bodyweight workouts and swimming. Really excited and some really great things to look forward to this year.
Hey Guys you might remember this mix I posted a while ago https://www.mixcloud.com/keppry/anjunabeats-classics/.
Well I've decided to make a follow up to that mix and probably will do so every month for what used to be one of the greatest music labels. With these mixes I aim to really play different songs in each mix and just take you back in time.

Tenishia. I love the way they combine vocals with music. Evident from tracks like Haris C feat. Anthya - My Angel (Tenishia Remix), and Burning From The Inside(Tenishia Burning Full Vox Mix). Also their chillout albums, Frozen roads 1 & 2 are beautiful.
That is the Gert vs. Bonka remix, the Youtube video is a different version of Close Cover. There were so many remixes of that song, I can see how it would be easy for someone to get two different versions confused.
Also, if you're looking for a chill mix to pass the time full of Deep House, Progressive House, and a little bit of techno and trance, may I suggest my guest mix for In The Mix by Rohit Bangera #144?
It's got some great new (and older) tunes from Colorize (Enhanced), Elliptical Sun Melodies, Anjunadeep, and more. I'd post it here on /r/trance, but only 2/13 songs qualify :-P
So if you're in the mood to relax:

Hi everyone, I created a .cue file for anyone who wants to split the tracks. I uploaded the file on Google Docs here. Select 'File' at the top left, click on 'Download' and place the file in the same folder where you downloaded S3baman's mix.** You also need a program like Medieval CUE Splitter (it's a free program) for the file-splitting process to work. I used Google Docs because there seems to be quite a few redditors having problems downloading from other filehosting sites, and so I chose a site which I know everyone can download. And thank you for the mix, OP. :)
** (Make sure both the .cue file and S3baman's mix have the same file name.)
This is the mix you're talking about. Wow it's been 5 years since I made that mix!
/u/aureoma glad I got you into the genre, much love <3
Sassan
Here you go! Some of these are unavailable to US folks due to mixcloud royalty policies. Let me know if you want to hear such mixes and I can provide you with the WAV/mp3 file
that's a rather generic suggestion shuffpuff, could you please be more specific?
gouryella goes back well over 10 years now, through some up and downs and now Ferry is pushing this spin-off of his actively, any particular recent set you have in mind?
for instance this is kinda fresh -> https://www.mixcloud.com/wwwLiveSetsat/ferry-corsten-pres-gouryella-live-tomorrowland-2016-belgium-22072016/ or
Nice winner, it's my favourite and my voted one too.
Mine was S, this is the tracklist, (~~timestamping in progress~~):

This is the tracklist for my entry:
It is Angels of Destruction but it's a newer updated remix. The one I use in my version (27:50) is definitely different though.
And it's Neelix actually ID'ing his own song so...
This is their set they played at Wembley Arena last year. You can probably expect something similar to that.
I would think there's an easier way, but as The Quest only had one track, you can find all his appearances on Discogs
Leaving this comment for those who might not now, it was a one-time collab between Oakie, PvD and AvB. Really powerful moving piece. Iirc heard it in a couple of AvB Armin Only sets from around the time. Lord knows if there will ever be a more heavyweight combo again
"Paul Oakenfold, Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk have joined forces to pay an homage to the victims and visitors of the 19th edition of the Loveparade. All proceeds of ‘Remember Love’ will be donated to charity.
On July 24, 2010 in Duisburg, Germany., more than 500 people were injured and 21 people were killed after panic broken out due to overcrowding in the tunnel entrance of the Loveparade festival terrain. A tragedy, not only for those involved, but for the entire dance scene. To help support the victims family members, persons injured and remember the spirit of the famed dance event, three world-famous DJ’s have now united. UK, The Netherlands and Germany are represented by Paul Oakenfold, Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk, coming together on powerful trance anthem ‘Remember Love’.
According to Paul Oakenfold, the track is a true mix of the sound of the three producers.
Oakenfold: ’Remember Love’ has the melodic feel which represents my sound, the emotion and movement which I love of Armin’s sound and the energy and uplifting touch that no one does better than Paul van Dyk. I think it’ll be interesting for people to hear how three artists come together making one song.”
All proceeds of ‘Remember Love’ will be donated to the Association of Non-statutory Welfare in North Rhine-Westphalia Germany, which started an appeal to support the victims family-members and persons injured. If you want to help out, or simply love the track, download it now exclusively on Beatport!"
Thought you might. :) There are very few labels out there that can match Lost Language in output consistency. Every release since about 3 years ago is available in full on LL's Youtube channel. Maybe you'll find something you like there. If you want to check out some of their older releases, head on over to Discogs.
I agree totally. However some of the 'vote for me' DJ Mag Videos have been fantastic so far. Super8 & Tab's DJ Mag 2011 video one talks about an album they are planning to release 'when it's ready' and the background tune is amazing... I also liked Sander van Doorn's DJ Mag 2011 video with an unreleased remix which I've heard it coming out soon.
Was going to vote for them anyways for their fantastic Godskitchen performances and videos like these just make me want to vote for them even more.
I'm an /r/trance regular using a new account since my SoundCloud account has personally identifying information. This is my first mix and includes some of my favorite tunes from the past year (and others). I wasn't going to share this here but /u/empireofhearts' sick gym mix inspired me. This one also hits the ground running at 140 (hence the, ahem, clever title) and never slows down.
Hope you all enjoy and I welcome any feedback and/or constructive criticism!

Thank you for supporting my music <3
A lot of people had messaged me and they had told me that my first vocal mix was their gateway to trance music

If you want new tunes, he has a radio show atm, "Pure Trance". It used to be "Solaris International".
Here's a set I remember enjoying: @ FSOE 350 NY.
But yeah, definitely delve into some of his discography... many classics such as Seven Cities or Solar Coaster.
Also check out his compilation, Electronic Architecture (there's three volumes). As well as the Pure Trance compilations (there's four volumes).
Some great tunes and remixes too, such as: "Breathe You In", "Jewel", "Like A Waterfall", "Lovers", "Please", "Love Theme From Bladerunner", "Wasting My Younger Years".
And a personal favourite and all round feels extreme:
Mark Sixma most likely. The last couple of Ran 1 tracks have actually been very good imo, returning to their old sound but with a slightly lower BPM.
Another thing I've always respected about Rank 1 is that Piet always plays trance during the shows. His 3 hours show from SoundBar in Chicago is fantastic
RIGHT!?
I only discovered this track a few days ago when I found myself banging my head a little to hard to it, while driving nonetheless! I then shazammed it and when to Orjan's YouTube channel, but was really disappointed :(
You might be interested in the original radio set I heard this from- link. Give it a chance before you judge it... I've listened to it well over 200 times!
I'm glad you like it!
Where is the best place to come across more music like this? The only reason I've come across Viking is because of a radio set that I've listened to about 200 times now (I have it on both laptops, my phone, my car, hell, I even have it on soundcloud for when I want to listen to it on a computer at work!)
Most of my journeys are less than 1 hour long, but 3 days ago drove for 2 hours, and I found I was banging my head really hard at 1hr 36m, and thought I've just GOT to shazam this!
I then went on Orjan's YouTube channel, but was disappoint :(
Most of his other tracks come absolutely nowhere close to the poise this track has- the intro is spot on, the drop into the main beat is timed so freaking well, the repetitiveness is just right- infectiously so, and to top it off, the way he builds in from the 1st to 2nd verse and the 2nd to 3rd, just make me lose my shit!
Judge Jules' was taken off the bbc because too many 30-40 year olds were listening to his show (they're aiming for a different demographic), and ever since then, I have no new source for music that is right up my street. I used to listen to GDJB, but even that got taken off the internet. (I've listened to a few ASOT's, but they're not my thing. It's hard to describe the genre I like, but this radio set is a good example...)

Yeah, it's on native american land a good ways out from anything else id say.
Temecula is one of the closest cities, here is what a mapquest idea looks like.
https://www.mapquest.com/directions/from/us/ca/temecula/to/us/ca/92086-286305161
certainly not close enough to walk from a town or hotel or anything like that.
actually i TOTALLY meant to post http://www.songkick.com so give those other guys who posted it some karma and i will too for reminding me i was wrong. bandsintown is ok but songkick does the email thing. my bad!
The first track is an unreleased track unfortunately so there aren't any official sources.... But I do believe Good Guy Hiroyuki ODA has the download link for it on his niconico account.
Most of these are either bootleg or doujin and won't be released on iTunes sadly... Doujin are released in cd format during Comiket conventions in Japan and don't really make it overseas to the US. You can however purchase some of the albums from the record label or through secondary retailers overseas. www.vgmdb.com is a good way to look up what songs are from what album, and which record label put them out.
The whole Aviateur release was incredible. I still listen to Touch The Skies, Talk To The Stars and Albatros pretty often even though it was released in 2008.
This track is a part of Saturate Audio Immersed, it features a lot of beautiful tracks. Also check out Patterns by Gai Barone and Momentum by Basil O'Glue.
I've found myself looking more and more into the true prog house stuff because it seems that true prog trance is becoming a thing of the past. Especially when tracks like this are what people are calling prog trance these days (and you're definitely right, Beatport doesn't help).
Edit: I think the thing that makes it a bit easier to tell which belongs where is most of the time, prog house tracks tend to have a bit more bounce to them than the prog trance stuff.
Goa and psy are pretty much the same thing, except that goa has more of an Indian influence, while psy can have a more wide range of sound. Basically all goa are psy, but not all psy are goa. The reason they called it goa trance in the first place was because the music came from the Goa Province of India, however over the years less and less development of this genre has been based in Goa, so they started calling it psychedilic trance, so really there is not much difference.
Oliver Prime always gets involved in 4-5 productions a year if you look at his beatport portfilo (http://www.beatport.com/artist/oliver-prime/2742), his release of Resonette this year was a massive track. I guess he is probably thinking quality over quantity heh. Nothing unusually silent about him though.
pluggity plug plug. happy 4th, murricans-- this one's a couple of years old, so feedback welcome but we've all learned a lot since then!
Beatport link: http://www.beatport.com/release/shooting-stars-ep/1323023
There is one on Beatport but it's $22 and maybe I'm just cheap but that seems a bit much to me. Even with the 20% off coupon code Beatport keeps telling me to use.
Check out his podcast "Global Trance Grooves." He always starts out with a deep mix. He also just recently put out his new mix compilation this week called JOOF Editions. 4 hours of deep, dark trance. Def check it out.
And yep. They don't have too much stuff out but what they do have out as Fleming & Lawrence is pretty good.
from my post up thar:
i have no control over where it gets sent, though our first single was on amazon. i think label-worx is just not having a good distribution day...lol. right now, you can grab it on beatport as well: http://www.beatport.com/track/when-the-stars-fall-original-mix/3333811 or, on junodownload: http://www.junodownload.com/products/when-the-stars-fall/1935287-02/
Compression basically makes things louder. It's a huge tool for producers, and has a ton of uses, but lately, people have replaced decent mixing and mastering with making everything really loud and then putting a brick wall limiter on the track. If you want a visual representation, go look at Rebound's waveform on Beatport, then compare it to Mozart. See how much fatter Rebound looks? That's due to compression. It ruins the track's dynamics and, yes, if there's messy noise on the track, it can make it a lot worse since it's basically being boosted in the mix.
The track is in G minor if that helps at all. I think it narrows it down just a bit at least.
It gets said here a lot but keep in mind that newer songs (like walter white) by A&B is not really trance, rather big room/electro/house infused trance. That said, if you like the style of the music you may like much of the songs on their label, Anjunabeats - even though many of their releases follow a predictable pattern.
However I would also like to mention that nobody here has linked what is probably my favorite sub-genre right now which you may or may not have stumbled upon yet - deep, progressive trance. Stuff like what's in this mix
>And I never thought I’d have someone like you Never thought you’d be the one to save me Now I’m ready to believe You always say I’m worthy And finally I can say I agree
>Are these the lyrics? Ram and Susana- Someone Like You
As promised here us the mix. Enjoy! https://www.mixcloud.com/lawrenceroxas1/future-symphonies-001/
There are actually a good handful of UG raves in the SF/Oakland area. 'Kandi Love' throws events all the time and although they focus on mostly Happy Hardcore, they often book trance headliners.
As for local DJ's that spin that type of melodic progressive trance, look no further. I live in the Bay Area and play regularly in SF. Check out this mix and let me know if its the style of trance you are looking for. https://www.mixcloud.com/TheGuardiansofAsgaard/dawn-of-the-asagods/
P.S. - there are also tons of PsyTrance Renegades but those are less organized .
Trance in France is my favorite podcast. It is a weekly 2 hours of consistently good music with no talking.
This recent mix by Tom Neptunes is absolutely amazing (1st hour): https://www.mixcloud.com/TranceInFrance/tom-neptunes-simon-patterson-trance-in-france-show-ep-349/
The sets are slowly making their way to Soundcloud, and if they're not available for download you can still grab them using www.sounddrop.com
There's also an 11 hour set uploaded to Mixcloud here which you can download using www.offliberty.com
Those should be quicker downloads.
Was going to submit this, got here.
I simply LOVE this song! I can't believe I am the only one to upvote this
It was featured in a GREAT trance mix by MeHiLove - Ukraine in the mix 007 (on Afterhours.FM) https://soundcloud.com/mehilove/mehilove-ukraine-in-the-mix
They recently made it free. Only drawback is it plays in shuffle mode. Not really sure how that all works but it's still possible.
There are also online radio stations such as DI.fm and AH.fm that allow streaming.
For some reason, I can't learn the sequence even though I'm usually great at such things, but I use it for every one of my mixes, no exception! This works best with KeyFinder. Great little piece of freeware that detects the track key. /u/lucasmarchal
Great mix dude! Very energetic indeed! But come on, mixcloud quality hearts my ears... I actually found a way to download the mp3 from there and it's 60kbps.... Try http://www.zippyshare.com/ maybe?
Oh yeah, good times.
Reminds me of their (Nu Nrg's) most notorious set ever: Live at Orgasmatron [9.07.2002].
Couldn't find any seeded torrents for it, so here's some shitty download link.
Just started Rick & Morty, just after finishing off Silicon Valley, both hilarious TV shows. Also finished the first ep of Justified's last season, going to miss this amazing show. Watching ep2 next year, drip feeding myself this show, ep by ep.
Speaking of starting, study mode's been re-enabled and aiming to complete all 3 MCSA exams by the end of the year. Perfect study music: https://hearthis.at/re-element/an-ambient-drop-in-the-ocean-27-11-2011

So I think this is my first actual real DJ set submission to /r/Trance. I hope you guys enjoy the mix and I hope I didn't do anything wrong by posting this here. :)

First time I've found a pre-order on Amazon for a track when googleing it. Sept. 4th on Amazon which is usually a week or so after BP.
Gino Beats defined and before you asked...this is who a gino is
The chapter about being inside the Navy's experimental 'white Tic Tacs...'
If you haven't read it yet. well you'd better! Everyone thinks they know all about the breakdown at 3:30.
LOL You don't unless you've read this: CIA Lost Archive Files - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08F3VVGR7/ref=dbs\_a\_def\_rwt\_bibl\_vppi\_i2
I have posted on Newgrounds since 07, and am always finding new indie stuff in every genre. I recommend the Newgrounds Audio Portal, my friend, as it is also free to download all the tracks (legally, too. All user-created. I make every EDM genre, if you're interested
No idea sorry bud. The only other song I know that uses it is Nas "New World" which a tune tbf.
You could go through the list on WhoSampled to see if it's any of them WhoSampled
Hey mate! Good question for the Above & Beyond reddit if you wanted to pop over that way :)
One to get you started that I did, skip to the second hour for the trance bish. https://www.mixcloud.com/anjunabeats/anjunabeats-worldwide-500-with-gareth-and-duncan/
IMHO this is a great introduction mix to Gareth Emery.
And i add to my producers of the moment:
Andrez Sanchez
I love his uplifting touch.
While it hasn't been trance in a while - Myon & Shane 54's International Departures is back! .... minus Myon for a yet to be determined reason. I'm just glad it's back though!
1) ABGT, Anjunabeats Worldwide, Silk, Jaytech, SuperTab, Pure Trance
2) FSOE, Create, Euphonic Sessions, Cycles, Kearney, Moor Music (if it ever works)
3) Work, Car, Home
4) Discovery, Diversity, Connection to the community
5) Either way is fine. Too much talking can be annoying, especially over drops
6) Nothing really
7) Podcasts app on iPhone, Mixcloud, or Youtube. Preferably with the volume up in the car with friends or with headphones at work
8) I like a range of styles. ABGT and Silk are the best examples
9) Only one I interact with is ABGT since they have a live stream and chat on their Youtube. Granted I'm not working and at home listening live
10) I don't know. If something doesn't float your goat then i'm assuming that's why you start doing your own thing. That's what I did shameless plug
Excellent mix compilation that I just obtained. I especially enjoyed the last track, which I can't seem to find anywhere online individually. I very much recommend a listen.
I'm also not sure if the last track is simply The Longer Now, or The Longer Now (Control Zone Mix).

If you can find this, it's one of the best trance compilations I heard back in the day. Was released in 1998.
> Signalrunners - Meet me in Montauk (Suncatcher remix)
> Underworld - Cowgirl (Joint Operations Centre rework)
> Lange - Follow Me (Darren Porter rework)
> Paul van Dyk - For An Angel (Marc van Linden Remix)
> Lexicon 4 - Reach Me (Activa Rework)
I've got these if you can't find them
> Rapid Eye - Circa Forever (Aly & Fila Rework)
Noticed this on the recent Damaged CD compilation and thought it was pretty interesting
Revolution 9 is everyone's favourite ghost Dave Parkinson in um, non-ghost form (although an alias is always pretty ghostly), and hasn't really been seen on the release-front for many years
As for Amara... not a clue, and Discogs suggests 'they' haven't done anything for a decade
Sure. Looks like others have provided links to most, but here's Menno and Roger Shah. Shah's great for that 'sunsets on the beach' kind of trance.
Mixed my favourites of the year, lots of deep and big house vibes in this one, flowing into uplifting/tech/psy. The second part is exclusively faster stuff: https://www.mixcloud.com/Rathster/best-of-2015-mega-mix-part-2/ Tracklists on each of the pages.
He has always been a very good DJ, but maybe a bit too much of a penchant for playing classics (bit of a gimmick if you do it too much?) i.e. here is a set from ASOT 250 where he was the closing DJ and only played classics:

Ya was thinking its a re-release too. which is why i left "2009" in there in hopes this discussion would come up . according to discogs, the 2003 releases that show up in the "other versions" section below (on the label named Sniper) point to Kay D. Smith & Marc Tall pres. Passive Resistance – Praiseworthy Tunes (Hoipolloi Mix)(2003). Are these both the same track?
Not available for me.
Actually, this is a little quirky thing that I've thought about a while ago. I listened to Paul Allen - Overload (Suncatcher Remix) then immediately afterwards Paul Miller pres. Motion Blur - Liquidity (Suncatcher Remix) and got the two confused for a little bit. Nice to see they did something together.
Your label is correct. It wasn't on Coldharbour, it was on Coldharbour Selections Vol 1
https://www.discogs.com/Markus-Schulz-Coldharbour-Selections-Volume-1/master/457473
The actual Coldharbour label started the next year with Markus Schulz - First Time/Electro Hairspray as the first release.
Jörg Henze & Oliver Lieb pres.*
Also, this is techno so I have to remove.
Edit: realized I copied the link to the artist instead of directly to the song. Fix the link.
