Raise a banner, throw a parade at disney, make National Champions merchandise (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078P7Q12R/ref=sr_1_1?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1515042270&sr=1-1&nodeID=7141123011&psd=1), why not? They beat every team in front of them? It's not UCF's fault they were not invited into the CFB playoff.
I can't recommend the Khan Academy enough, when you've forgotten something in a math class you took previously, Sal does a great job of explaining it again and bringing you back up to speed.
I’m not really sure but I feel as if someone stealing something from you along with a sign of attempted break in is grounds for calling the police and attempting to file a hate crime, but the stealing and attempted break in is an obvious crime. As far as protecting yourself goes, there’s door stoppers that you can buy online to prevent break-ins while you’re home like this door stopper. I know this can be kinda expensive but security cameras are a good idea as well. I’m really sorry you have to go through this in 2019, people are so crazy!!
Just to clarify, I think you are referring to the "UCF Mobile" App, right? Not the Canvas Student App for use with WebCourses.
You can send the developers bug reports and feedback directly at
I'm not sure if you are on Android or iOS, but on the Google Play store, the developers look to be active in replying to the comments (and I assume the same for iOS.) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blackboard.android.central.ucf
The textbook is usually Discrete Mathematics and It's Applications. Don't let the bookstore fool you, the sell the "UCF Edition" for an inflated price. The only difference is an additional introduction. Here is an Amazon link where you should be able to find a reasonably priced used copy. Alternatively, here is a link to a PDF copy that you can have for free! Enjoy =)
I ride an electric scooter 3.5 miles from the sunrail to my office -- its great. Dirt cheap, environmentally friendly, put on a podcast and listen for half an hour, its rather enjoyable really.
Scooter was ~$250 on amazon.
(this is the 6inch wheel version -- i got the 8inch and I think its worth it but i cant find the link)
12 mile range, about 14 mph top speed (checked on my gps and im a 6' 200 pound dude).
highly recommend over any of these rental systems.
"according to other people I've spoken with, I should have been able to sleep my way to an A in that course." Screw them. If it's your first time being exposed to something your going to suck at it. If CS1 is intimidating for you because you don't have a lot of experience coding in C start getting some. Best bet, grab a good C programming book and start tearing into it ("The C Programming Language" book works fine and is much more enjoyable then the book UCF sells) . Go through as much of it on your own as you can and when you get stuck go on programming forums like stackoverflow. Put in an hour or so a day and CS1 will be a breeze. Also take on coding projects in your spare time. Getting started is always a drag but nothing builds confidence like getting a project up and running after weeks of work.
I can’t answer your question, but I’m sorry this happened to you. Here’s some cute animals to maybe cheer you up because there’s still good in this world Mr Frodo and it’s worth fightin for. https://unsplash.com/search/photos/cute-cat
PHI 3626 with Donald Jones.
I would wake up with panic attacks cause we did nothing the entire semester and I still have nightmares thinking I missed the assignments.
There were none. Our final was a 3 question quiz with unlimited attempts and you couldn't submit until you hit 100%.
No essays, no assignments, I think you were supposed to participate in group assignments but even that was optional.
Students complained that they did nothing in the class.
Easiest A of my life, even if it still gives me nightmares 5 years after graduation.
If you don't believe me, look at any of the rate my professor scords for PHI 3626 for Donald Jones. (CTRL+F "3626" to show just this class)
"Professor Jones is extremely unorganized. While on the syllabus it said that we would take around 10 quizzes and 4 exams, we only took one quiz and one exam. If you want an easy A, take this professor. If you want to learn, look somewhere else."
"I took Ethics in IT for credit expecting to do a little work online. Little did I know there was none to speak of. We had two quizes and an exam. Both had practice questions identical to the real ones. The same goes for the one exam we did. Seriously, this class was easy and I never received any schedule updates. Kind of a joke."
10/10 would do again
I wouldn't be surprised if this gets updated on UCF's end at some point. I'm sure they have a great agreement with their payment processor but most have a minimum service charge of ~30 cents + a percentage of the total transaction.
Just taking Stripe's default payment processing fees (which I highly doubt UCF is using), a 24 cent transaction would cost 31 cents to process lol.
I've taken Calc 2, 3, & Diff EQ at Valencia and it was pretty damn good. I've also had classes with a metric shit-ton of students who studied at Seminole State before UCF, and they seem to know their shit, too. Find a good professor and take it there if it's close to your place. You simply can't beat taking math in a room with only 23 other students.
FWIW, I'm a physics major, and I've also taken some computer science and engineering classes. I don't know if their math is on par with a math major's requirements.
You can park on Research Parkway and take the bus. You can also park behind the stadium and take the bus. You can also just get there early as 7 or 8. If you get there late like around 10 or 11 try Garage F first. Also there is always parking available by the Water Tower. Don't worry. It's only the first 2 weeks where parking is horrible. I also saw a dirt parking lot next to Garage A and H closer to the Greek houses. You could also park across the street by McDonalds and Lazy Moon and walk. I would be careful though about that. If you live close to Dr. Phillips or Southwest Orlando I would suggest taking the bus from the Rosen campus. It gets there in 45 mins and departs at least 10 times a day. You could also park at Knights Landing or Arbour apartments and take the bus from there. I don't think you need an apartment decal to park there. I hope that helps.
I don't use notion, but I've been using Obsidian which is kinda similar and I've been really enjoying it.
You can check it out here if you are interested: https://obsidian.md
Jingrui Sun. He was a spare professor when there were too many students on the waitlist for other classes so he might not be teaching this year.
There's only one review on RateMyProfessor from someone in my class that withdrew.
You can search for him in this subreddit. There's only two posts (one by me).
I'm a Computer Science major at UCF, currently taking Intro to C Programming and Intro to Discrete Structures.
1) http://www.cs.ucf.edu/courses/cop3223/spr2012/
this is the site for all COP 3223 classes. They also post all of the lessons and example programs so you can get ahead. I would definitely suggest that because it is very easy to fall behind in a class like programming. I'm not sure if the Discrete Structures syllabus is available outside of Webcourses (which you need a student login and password to access) but it's very uninformative anyway.
2) I don't have much wisdom for you here, classes have only been in session for one week.
http://www.ratemyprofessors.com/SelectTeacher.jsp?sid=1082
this can be a good resource, but don't take it all too seriously. Sometimes professors get negative reviews on that site because the class is just plain challenging, or other circumstances. I find RMP most useful for learning about what teachers have thick accents and which don't. The Engineering Department has lots of foreign professors, and there's nothing wrong with that, but you may end up with a guy you can barely understand because of his accent. In general though, professors speak excellent English. I'm in my third year, and there has only been one professor whose accent gave me trouble, and it was a gen ed class.
3) No, you can only take Honors classes if you are in the Honors College, which you apply for out of high school. If you are in the Honors College, you have to take a certain amount of Honors courses each semester. I had a roommate in the HC and he shared some of that with me, sorry I can't be of more help
4) No idea, I thought a thesis was a grad school thing?
5) I don't think so, I haven't heard of any requirements like that
I hope this helps, let me know if I can help more or clarify anything
I've found this tool to be useful for memorizing formulas and junk for tests. https://apps.ankiweb.net/. It's a software that runs on pc and android where you can make and review flash cards. Also if you don't already have it I would invest in a chegg subscription. You get access to solution manuals for textbooks and there's a q&a sections where you can ask the tougher questions.
i've had it for almost 2 years now, but you do have to change the filter every 6 months or so. i've forgotten to replace the filter before and didn't notice a difference until maybe 10 months in tho
This is greatly over exaggerating the situation. In putting it simply, all internet companies that limited web access would lose all of there business to a competitor that doesn’t limit access. Even if you wanted to stick with a certain provider, you could easily achieve net neutrality with a VPN service, such as TorGuard or TunnelBear.
I saw from other posts concerning GW2 that you would have to use a VPN. There's also some other online games that require one. I'm using a premium vpn called AirVPN. I heard people use free ones like WTFast or Hotshield. I can't vouch for how good they are since I've never used them. Also, I've recently started playing again and been looking for people to play with. Lemme know if you're interested.
The Burnett Honors College is currently looking to add new members to the lab monitor team!

Oh that's the shirt I made! Glad you liked it. We figured out how to make the campaign stay on forever. https://teespring.com/breezewaysmash1#pid=6&cid=648&sid=front need to sell 3 items or they won't print it for that 2 week cycle, if you buy it and it doesn't get printed you will receive a full refund
Well I would love to play some Smash. Too bad I'm not as into Melee as SSB4. Btw if you're a part of Breezeway you should try and get them to sell this shirt again. It looks fucking awesome! I would buy that shit in a heartbeat.
Have you considered taking it as a transient student at Valencia? The classes are smaller and sometimes easier. Either way, check Rate My Professors for information about individual professors.
It doesn't seem like there is one.
I can't find it on their site, but UCF used to have a pdf available with the complete channel line up. I've got it reuploaded here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By1j8kC2ReLvR2h5NUU1NTVCTTQ/edit?usp=sharing
This is the one on sale today. For a basic computer to do school stuff on, an i3 processor with 6-8gb ram should be enough. If you can get a solid state drive great, that's like a whole different computer, but pretty much anything 240gb or larger hard drive is sufficient. The rest is just extra features really
Have you ever heard of https://www.hackerrank.com? Not only will it prepare you for your class in object oriented programming... It will prepare you for a job and put you well beyond other people for an entry level position.
Seriously! Its something I wish my professors told me about while I was in college. Sometimes, employers will use that website to give technical skill interviews as well.
http://www.tutorialspoint.com/java/index.htm pretty much has everything you need to know.
Some tips.
If you're done any sort of input then you've probably used Scanner, which means you know how to construct a class.
Scanner std = new Scanner();
The above line of code makes an instance of the class 'Scanner' named 'std' using a non-argument constructor - the empty '()'.
Methods are pretty much just functions if you're familiar with C. Methods are called <object>.<method name>(). So to call the 'NextInt()' method of the Scanner named 'std' you would write:
std.NextInt();
The assignment boils down to (from what I understand)
Mac gets Office 2016 and 2011.
There's no Linux version of MS Office, but you could try Wine, if you know what you're doing.
Alternatively, there's LibreOffice on Linux too.
Yup, not sure what sink you have in your dorm but 100% agree. I’ve used for years and it’s saved me SO much money not buying water bottles. LINK: Brita Basic Faucet Water Filter System, Chrome, 1 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004INTGKK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZCJ15RYCPW58PS2179KW
I had this one freshman year, just stuck it under my bed no problems. The RAs (in Libra at least) hardly gave a shit when they did the inspections, just in and out to make sure nothing is on fire. You could even have a hot plate for cooking as long as you put it away when the RAs come knocking.
They are the same text. One is bound, the other is loose-leaf for insertion into a three-ring binder.
You might try contacting the instructor to see whether the MyEconLab is actually required. If it is not, the textbook alone can be found on Amazon for rent for as little as $85.00.
I asked cuz OP wants to buy a range extender, but if you don't have a router in your apartment where would you plug it in? Range extenders are meant to be plugged into the router, not the computer, afaik. Someone should definitely start by locating the router or modem. If you can't find it, use an app like this one to measure the signal strength and play a game of getting warmer to find it.
The slow speeds could be 1) due to WiFi signal interference OR 2) due to slow or congested Internet to the router. Either way, OP's idea probably won't help. The best way to determine the cause is to plug your computer directly via ethernet into the modem/router and then do a speed test with this website. Save a screenshot of the results. If the wired connection speed is fast, it is due to cause #1, if slow then cause #2.
1) If it is WiFi signal interference, the best solution is to add a 5 GHz WiFi range extender (preferably wireless-ac) which should ideally be connected via wired ethernet to the modem.
2) If it is slow connection from modem to ISP, the ONLY solution is for the ISP to do something. Call Spectrum (I assume that's your ISP) and ask them to send a technician out. Ask them to check the cable connection (sometimes these old cables are bad), and ask them to check that the modem is good (old modems might not support higher speeds).
This is pretty weird, and I have no idea why it happens, but here has been my solution in Tower 2 for the past year and a half.
STEPS TO MACGYVER: ~Download: (its a free VPN) note: make sure you decline the toolbar during install....unless you're really into the Ask search engine >_>
~Click connect on the Hotspot Shield
~connect to steam
~Once fully connected to steam, disconnect from Hotspot Shield note: make sure you disconnect from it, or else you'll have very intermittent internet connection in which you usually wouldn't be able to notice when just using an internet browser.
This has worked for me every single time. I had a good run for a semester where I didn't have to use this method, but it's started back up, so I'm still sporting the hotspot shield on my desktop.
Hope you see this, happy gaming.
Head First Java exists and it is incredible. It's a really easy read and by the time you're finished with most of it you should feel a lot more confident programming in general, not just with Java. There's a PDF of it floating around on the Internet if you don't want to buy it.
Since you already have some experience with C try picking up a copy of The C Programming Language (K&R) via the UCF library or a PDF online. If you can't make it through the majority of the exercises in the book then I would not recommend a CS minor. Software development is not CS, but something like this is absolutely fundamental (which is why Intro to C is one of the first CS classes you take).
Other languages are OK too but this is a pretty standard book. Understanding how to think properly is what matters and using C to express that won't be much different than Java or Python.
My dad is a huge UCF football fan as well. I didn’t get him a jersey but I got him this knightro rubber duck thing from Amazon for his desk.
A lot of TV's have the feet on the outer ends of the base which makes fitting them on narrow surfaces difficult. You can get something like this from amazon which mounts with the VESA holes on the back but gives you a center mount (this one pivots left/right to make viewing in different areas more convenient). There are plenty of other varieties of the stand shown, not sure if that one is the best value.
It can totally be done, I did it my two years living on campus.
It takes an adapter and an ethernet cable, but it can for sure be done!

^ The adapter I used.
https://www.amazon.com/Exceptional-Student-Education-Teacher-Certification/dp/0738611433 here’s what I used, I really just hate to brush up quickly on everything but math, the math I got a tutor for like twice just to make sure I knew everything. It’s not too bad & sometimes this thing will be a requirement for UCF but not for the school you might be trying to actually work at (as was my case for working at UCP, check with you principal about that). You have to pass it either way. But I’d say a week or two of serious studying out of this book with get you good to go for testing day. Good luck.
Mears' shuttle service is way more popular than you think.
Also, and more importantly, they have their taxi service as well, which obviously competes 1:1 with public transportation.
Check out Indeed and search "Referral Coordinator". I work for a company called SPNet which is currently hiring new grads for entry level Healthcare Admin positions - you'll do just fine!

Lots of realllly awesome places just around UCF area. On the corner of McCollough and Tanner rd (opposite of the 5/3 Bank) is a beautiful Part of the Econ Corridor Project. It's close, and a really cool walk. About a mile back and you'll hit the Econ river, which is a cool walk.
Same river but differnt park is the "Little Big Econ State Forest" In Oviedo. This is probably my favorite park, and the one I recommend most because of the accessibility to really cool spots just a few hundred yards from the car. And just a cool hiking spot in general. See here: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Little+Big+Econ+State+Forest,+Geneva,+FL&hl=en&ll=28.680046,-81.138325&spn=0.044126,0.090637&sll=28.692244,-81.131287&sspn=0.088242,0.181274&oq=Little+big+econ&gl=us&hq=Little+Big+Econ...
Just north of that is the Black Hammock Trail, which will take you up to Lake Jessup. Wanna see some gators and cool swampy stuff? Go here. Very dense and lush. Probably wet though due to all the rain. I know that place retains water pretty well and doesn't dry super quick.
Hope this helps!
Google Maps provides a bus route option that shows which routes to take get to your destination and which times the bus will pick up.
Also, KnightLynx provides a free shuttle service for all students to Waterford Lakes (The shopping center containing the local ~~Walmart~~ EDIT: Target) however, this apparently only runs at night (I'm guessing it's mostly for visiting the movie theater and local restaurants) but, since it's free so it may be worth doing your shopping at night.
Every now and then, there isn't really a regular schedule. The next one is October 12th from 11-3. You can find more information on the Facebook event.
I know it's a bit pricy, but I ended up using this carry case for two semesters and it was perfect for the drawing pads. You'll often see people carry just the pads or even roll them up, but that ruins the works in them. If your works have rips, folds, or creases it is not looked upon well because you have to take care of your work. I'd suggest also always carrying around a large industrial trash bag with you so you can wrap it around the pads if it rains. Better to be safe than sorry! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H8D8JL4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1
with a few 'plugins'; like what? honestly having a well built out server with plugins feels a lot better for a bigger community that it seems like you guys are going for. Nothing against vanilla servers but they really feel like a small friend group to play on. Adding stuff like towny/factions would really help the server go a long way to prevent griefing. Also implementing some extra exploration like this rogue like dungeons spigot fork https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/exit.71433/
I'm working on finishing up my microbio degree. I TA for general microbio, and I'm taking QBM this summer (with Borgon). If you're struggling with chem one, let me know what you're having trouble with, and I'll dust off my old text book and see what I can help you with. In the mean time, read through your chapters and do EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM. I mean every practice problem, regardless of how easy they seem. It makes a difference. Find a section you're unsure of, and read it out loud to yourself, like you're teaching it to yourself.
Contact me in pm and I can discuss chemistry help with you. In the mean time, check out this awesome web resource! Khan Academy
I'm on campus but nearby -- having a similar issue; there appears to be a strange glitch with the internet: I can connect to some things but not others, others are very slow, and (for example) I get horrible speeds on fast.com but great speeds on speedtest.net. I think it's a campus-wide issue.
I took 3223C last fall with Jahani, and he had us use repl.it online, which made things much easier because it includes a compiler and will try to help highlight any incorrect syntax. Szumlanski usually wants his students to use plain text editors (I like Atom for my Mac), and switching to that did make it harder for me to catch errors, but ultimately I think it's good practice.
Honestly I'm taking him for the first time in Summer and then signed up for another class with him in Fall. I took Brett Meltzer for PLA 3108, he is by far my favorite professor so far at UCF.
Spokescouncil has a Facebook page if you want to ask if they've made any headway on getting the auction back. If they have, it likely won't be until Fall.

Basically type in the title or paste the ISBN and there's a good chance you can find what you're looking for. They're PDFs so you can use CTRL + F on them too. Except for certain subjects like math, I've been able to find my books here for the last three semesters
Also IDK why it's in Russian but it still works so yeah
I took DE online and Calc 3 in person at Valencia. It was actually one of the easier upper-level math courses for me. I took it with Jody DeVoe, who is highly rated: http://www.ratemyprofessors.com/ShowRatings.jsp?tid=77543
The video instructions were very clear and the homework was very manageable. If you do all the homework (and understand it), you will do well on her quizzes and exams. She's also very responsive when you ask for help, even staying up late sometimes to answer my questions.
The only time I had to go to campus was for exams. Everything else was online.
Do you understand what a function is? Do you understand structs and pointers?
If the answer to any of the above is no, don't go into Arup's class. I talked with him and that course is designed to fast track kids who already know how to program and just need to prove it. You CANNOT learn the basics of programming over the span of 5 weeks (arup's class) nor (in my opinion) over a semester. The longer the class the MUCH better off you'll be in CS-1 and down the road.
Stay with Angell, shes organized (in both classes ive taken with her, CS-1 and CDA 3103), her tests and assignments are fair, and if they aren't then she curves, shes VERY lenient when it comes to grading. Trust me, she is without a doubt the best Grad Teaching Associate at UCF. (Since the rest of them have trouble just being organized)
Even IF your still having trouble understanding her, SI and Tutoring sessions can get you on the right track. (I'm a peer tutor for this class)
Rate my professor agrees with what i'm saying as well
http://www.ratemyprofessors.com/ShowRatings.jsp?tid=1583836
No matter who you take this with you will not be able to avoid the fact that you WILL need to practice programming even when its not being graded. You absolutely will not pass the foundations exam unless you are a confident programmer, and that confidence comes from getting an A (not an A-) in this class.
From RMP, she looks pretty terrible. My friend is kind of worried about how it's going to be with her (I took it back in the spring). I don't generally give RMP much merit, but when things are unanimously bad, there might be something to it

This canvas was created on the browser based application, Aggie.io. We do these every week on our discord server.
Another canvas, the first one of the summer semester. We had a really fun time making the "give me six characters to make fanart of!" prompt, including another prompt featured on the left for drawing characters in the discord welcome screen format. Speaking of discord, why not join the community?
This beautiful canvas was created using Aggie.io in our Discord server, come check it out!

There's a free alternative that is nearly identical to SPSS. 98% of the work you do on one will work exactly the same on the other. When I had a stat w/computing course I just did my work on PSPP and then made sure it was the same as SPSS before I turned it in. Never had any problems.
If you want an SSL certificate for your domain without having to pay the annual fee for one you can use Cloudflare free edition. This will make your site load faster because it is a CDN which stores a copy of your website on their servers closer to the end user and adds in some antibot security measures. For optimal security you should still get a signed cert, but a self signed SSL cert with cloudflare should be good enough for most purposes.
Note I am not an employee of this company and am in no way affiliated with them. Just a commenter on the thread.
Github gives you $100 in digital ocean credit which is enough for about 20 months of hosting at the cheapest tier. Not quite the same thing as "infinite" free web hosting.
It's also a VPS/cloud hosting provider rather than a shared web host. This is both good and bad. The benefit is you have full root access and can run (almost) anything you want just like it was your own computer. The downside is you have to manage and setup your own services. While this is a wonderful learning exercise it's not very good for production servers since there is a chance you'll misconfigure something.
Shared hosts are much more restrictive on both system resources and access levels but are usually very good at providing high levels of uptime. All you have to do is upload your files and they take care of the rest, compare that to running it on your own where your droplet may be running but your web server might be down. CPanel is like the loleasymode of web hosting, it sucks and is very limited but does everything you need in a GUI.
Downside to a shared host is that you aren't the only one on the box. Unlike a VPS where your server is running in it's own VM container on a shared host all they are doing is using the apache configs to set a VirtualHost. This is enforced only by apache and not by the OS. Simply put it is less secure than OS or container virtualization. Apache is also the one determining the resource allocation limits for everything. Due to this your site could be affected by other hosts on the same box more so than on a VM where the resource limits are enforced by the OS kernel and the virtualization software. In practice these issues aren't usually a noticeable problem.

Could you try directly on Speedof.me/, this is what is used by LiveSomeWhere, and SpeedTest.net around the same time?
I just did a few test, in a few different places, and the two are within 10% of each other.
Also, since the information is crowd sourced, we went back to see some historical results. We do not have any identifiers, so not sure exactly who is who, but can see a test on 7/14 showing 4 Mbps result.
Looking at the data-set, there seems to be one larger outlier. Maybe because that was done in the computer lab, or some other location with better internet. That has been removed, and now the average is much lower.
You said you were able to login through live.com, but how about this link instead?: http://www.outlook.com/knights.ucf.edu
Try and see if this one works. UCF transitioned to this login address for Knightsmail accounts a little while back.

This is a very reasonable request. A physical textbook is definitely an important consideration for many students. While physical books can't always be free (it does take materials to print them), they can still cost a fraction of the price. OpenStax does offer hardcover prints of their material. (For example take a new biology textbook for $50: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1947172514/)
Look into small colleges. I took a course from Palm Beach State, that my last company paid for. After all that I am still learning.
See what the new company offers, if they pay for training. I had to do it on my own time, but the company reimbursed the expenses.
I am ok at it, but it takes a lot to be an expert. Or local expert is part of the ASME group that covers it.
We used this book, the pocket ref is good too: Fundamentals of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing https://www.amazon.com/dp/1111129827/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_FT2507SQFBBQ2ENBHH2G
I haven't seen it, but do you know if this pen works with your laptop: https://www.amazon.com/HP-4931873-Pen/dp/B074XM4QSG
I have one and could just give it to you if you want. It's not an apple pencil, but its pretty good.
Can you see it in there? There’s little claw tools Flexible Grabber Claw Pick Up Reacher Tool With 4 Claws Bendable Hose Pickup Reaching Assist Tool for Litter Pick, Home Sink, Drains, Toilet (35.4inch) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y75N3DW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_SGXC2EZ582NBF949Q7A2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Might work?
I just got this bag and I love it! Makes carrying my laptop super easy and honestly its pretty spacious for everything else I might need if I travel
I see a lot of people trying to sell these, here they are for free.”Fraud Bible 2021”, “Method bible 2020”, “koonbible v1 & v2”, “The Anarchist Cookbook Explosive Guide” , “NordVPN Dumps” just dm me I have all this stuff for free
I've got one like this and it works fine on my window
The blinds would definitely get in the way if you used a tension rod that goes straight across.
If you're just looking to hang some posters, this works great and doesn't mess with the paint.
Admittedly, I'm the type who almost never gets the flu shot and I haven't been to the doctor in years bc I can't stand blood tests. Needles make me want to vomit and I get super fucking shaky.
I resigned myself up for breaking down when I got my vaccine, but I found a thing that honestly really helped. It's called a shot blocker and it's just a little piece of plastic with some spikes on it and a hole for the needle to be injected through. The spikes are supposed to trick your nerves into being distracted and not to feel the needle as much.
I still felt the needle a little, but it was waaay easier to deal with than without. I found you want to press firmly and you want to do it quickly bc the effect kinda wears off after a few seconds. I'm still probably not going to get flu shots every year and blood tests are still a fear fest, but I feel a bit better about getting mandatory injections now.
Please get an office chair, these gaming chairs are only comfortable when you sit on them for short periods of time.
I highly recommend this one:

Hey! I'm a current UCF experimental Animation Major and I would highly suggests a laptop with a graphics card because if she plans on working in maya or any other program.
A GTX 1050 or even a 1060 would be fine.
You can find decent laptops on amazon for $800 that have all the specs she would need. This was actually a laptop I was thinking of replacing my current one:
the Rifftrax version of Miami Connection is one of my favorite things to leave on the TV, haha. if you have Amazon Prime, you can watch it here: https://www.amazon.com/RiffTrax-Live-Connection-Michael-Nelson/dp/B075NTRVLB
I had to look it up. It's the intro to computer architecture class.
Here's the textbook on Amazon without an affiliate link -- https://www.amazon.com/Computer-Organization-Design-MIPS-Architecture/dp/0124077269
Not because I think you're going to buy it on Amazon, but because you can "Look Inside" from that link.
It looks like they're still teaching from an old edition of that textbook. I would have converted to the RISC-V edition by now.
Sad.
That's a good textbook, though. The authors are legends (literally, look them up) in computer architecture. I actually prefer their other textbook ( -- A Quantitative Approach), but it's not suited for an intro class.
Have fun.
You can get really long cords for Ethernet and just wrap it around the edge of the room. Don't get ripped of on those cords, you can get single 50 foot ones for $7 on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Cat5e-Networking-Ethernet-Patch-Router/dp/B01CO39BYG/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=50%27+cat5&qid=1566823729&s=gateway&sr=8-4&pldnSite=1)
I rented it used for $27 in spring off amazon EDIT: it's $37 now https://www.amazon.com/Challenge-Effective-Speaking-Digital-Age/dp/130594819X/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_14_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=EQ0RD1R840X4ABE9K9CB
I’d get the prep book and skim through. There’s a decent amount of material, especially on math and writing, that I haven’t even thought about in years. Plus then the prep book is a good resource for later. On amazon, it’s the: FTCE General Knowledge 4th Ed., Book + Online (FTCE Teacher Certification Test Prep) https://www.amazon.com/dp/0738612510/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_BZZKFbK6QG5C6
This one worked for me, when connected through the dock:

Edit: I see it is not in stock. :/
This one looks well reviewed:
CS1 you learn how to make data-structures in the C coding language. Basically you code a bunch of trees and lookup tables for quickly looking up numbers and such. It's kinda hard, especially if you do not already have a coding background. You will need to take intro to C beforehand.
Discrete teaches you the basics of computer logic. AND OR NAND XOR etc. About how to do true/false logical expressions and make larger logical systems out of it. It's not too hard once you understand it. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ViacheslavRud.Circuit) is a good game to play with if you have to take it, it's called "make it true" of you're on iOS.
The easiest solution for this fall and every other online class is:
1) Run Windows in a virtual machine
2) Use a free VPN, such as TunnelBear or ProtonVPN within the VPN.
A virtual machine allows you to Google answers undetected if your teacher is simply offering tests through Canvas/ProctorHub.
I don't believe that HonorLock detects VM's either.
Your options are going to be pretty limited for cooked foods, I think. What you could do is make cheap foods like ramen, but fancy it up with a poached egg and some veggies. Also, invest in some of the cheap little microwave tools like this. I used to make an egg sandwich every morning with one of these and they work well.
I used to also make rice in the microwave using some corningware with a lid, 1 cup of rice, 2.5 cups of water, and in the microwave for 20 minutes. This works for white rice, you'll probably have to do some adjusting for brown.
If you find yourself eating crappy food often out of necessity, just make sure to supplement with at least raw veggies, like carrot sticks, grape tomatoes, or others that are portable and not so much at risk for spoilage. Drink your water and study hard :)
You can buy some EXTREMELY cheap, brand new watches on amazon. Quite a few for less than $5 or $10.
I didn't go quite that cheap when I bought my last watch, but for $13.99, I got one that was exactly what I was looking for, without any branding:

I have this nickel board (larger than a 22" Penny) paired with Red bearings and it's been a great ride so far
