I plugged my earlier version on this sub a few months ago and I thought I'd hazard doing it again. It's not free anymore which might not sit well with some, but considering the time and energy that has gone into redesigning it; I don't feel bad charging for it https://cults3d.com/en/game/ergonomic-grip-for-ps-vita-v2-pch-1000. The old one is still available on Thingiverse and it will remain free https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2120609.
I have 2 Vitas and 1 PSTV using 400 GB for SD2Vita.
I am using SD2Vita 5.0, which you can but here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F63FPT3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The description does say 256 GB but I can confirm that 400 GB works, multiple users on the vita subreddits have confirmed that 512 GB is working too.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ERA94BY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_.DU0CbSC27GR1
It's pricey, but found the back touchscreen completely unusable without it. The grip makes using those buttons much easier.
The Vita is still ticking over in Japan so it's good that at least one region is getting support for it.
Source - https://kotaku.com/here-are-the-biggest-selling-games-in-japan-in-2017-1824250532
Amount sold in Japan in 2017 for comparison;
PlayStation Vita Units
2017 sales:271,716 units Life to date:5,709,193 units
Xbox One Units
2017 sales:16,212 units Life to date:92,861 units
It's still a heavy hitter in Japan although most current gen consoles are doing a couple of times better (PS4/Switch/3DS are in the millions), except of course for the Xbox which has splashed like a pea in a sea-storm.
You can fix the aspect ratio when mirroring via HDMI by using Second Screen.
Essentially, it changes the resolution and dpi of your device. So set it to 1920x1080 and you get a 16:9 ratio. I use it with my phone and Galaxy Tab S4.
They work brilliantly on Retroarch, for me. With rare exception. GBA games are more finicky, though. I sometimes have to use Temp GBA in Adrenaline to get the sound right, and then I can't stretch the aspect ratio.
Edit: Since you said you had problems with SMW, I played it and took a video for you [link]. Works great for me.
The new version is available for sale on Cults3D: https://cults3d.com/en/game/ergonomic-grip-for-ps-vita-v2-pch-1000. The old version is still free on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2120609. Thank you :)
Im new to the Vita scene but from my experience some games like the half-life port and hexen2 port require you to move files from a PC installation of the game for your vita to use.
And after looking up Another World release page which is linked on VitaDB, you need to do exactly that:
>A Vita system with Henkaku installed to run homebrew. Install the vpk file in your Vita Put the original data files in the folder ux0:app/SOMO00002/DATA Original files can be downloaded in serveral sites, for example: http://www.myabandonware.com/game/out-of-this-world-18g#download
VPKs can install all damn day, but without those files there is nothing for it to run.
You can't play PS2 games on a Vita. There's not a single emulator for it... :)
Having said that, look at PCSX2. It's by far the best PS2 emulator out there (for PC.)
http://pcsx2.net/compatibility-list.html?letter=G page 5 to see that Growlanser - Heritage of War, Growlanser 3, and Growlanser Generation all show as "Green" for being fully playable.
Okay, while installing the vjoy drivers on to your computer make sure that test signing is enabled. After installation, find the windows.xml file and change the VJOY mode from 0 to 1 using notepad. Another thing to point out, triggers cannot be pressed at the same time.
However, you can use the usual xpadder for games that do not support controllers or x360ce for games that need an xbox controller. If you don't have xpadder, here is a free alternative that I tested with the vita. https://github.com/AntiMicro/antimicro/releases
There are 2 models of the vita, OLED and slim. In my experience, it was harder to find a slim vita so I opted for the OLED. The difference between the 2 in terms of modding is that the OLED does not have internal storage, so you will need to buy a vita memory card like this: Amazon Vita Card. With the slim, you won't need a card to install henkaku and enso.
Doesn't exist natively at the moment. You can remote play PS5 on PC and you can remote play PC on Vita through moonlight (if you have a PC with an Nvidia graphics card capable of Nvidia Gamestream), so you could possibly do:
PS5 -> PC, PC -> Vita
dunno how well it would go but it's a possibility
Didn't see where you specified the model, I was under the impression it was a 1000, now I see it.
I actually found a cheaper 1000 mainboard for $22.80 shipped: Here
I've also checked digikey, and mouser and there are no headphone jacks that remotely resemble the pin configuration of the one found in the vita.
You could try retrofitting one of these as they seem the closest, but that would be some tricky soldering.
Honestly if I were you, I'd spend the 20 bucks and get the board from Ali.
You can use CHKDSK function in windows to try to repair the sd card.
You can also check the functionality of the sd card using a program like h2testw
Latest PFBA is based on FB Alpha 0.2.97.42. So you can just use FB Alpha 0.2.97.42 (https://www.fbalpha.com/downloads/) to scan your rom files. But not all systems supported by FB Alpha are ported over to PFBA. So even if your roms work with FB Alpha, it may still not work with PFBA.
I'd suggest trying out AntiMicro (https://github.com/AntiMicro/antimicro) on your computer, since custom mappings in Moonlight is kind of a pain in the ass. I currently have mine setup to switch between the default controller style input and a mapped keyboard and mouse setup when I tap the lower right corner of my Vita. Overall, I've been pleased, but your mileage may vary.
You never want to go with a "random guy"'; always check the reviews and seller feedback. Memory cards are often hacked to display higher storage than they actually have, because it's extremely cheap and easy to do.
Here's another option through Amazon for $25.
I been using Turbo FTP & SFTP Client for a few months without issues. Here's a quick tutorial since it may not be completely user friendly for everyone.
-Open the app, hit Create New Account>FTP (slide from the left if you don't see this option)
-Enter a Connection Name (eg, Vita or PSTV, really anything)
-User Name and Password leave blank
-Host = whatever number is shown on VitaShell/molecularShell after ftp://(eg, 192.168.0.52 this will be displayed after pressing Select in VitaShell)
-Port = the remaining numbers after ':' (1337)
-Go to the very bottom now, leaving the other Settings the way they are and select the Default Local Folder (where you want files to save when downloading from your Vita to your phone) then hit the Save icon when done. It looks like a Floppy disk in the top right.
The free version of the app only saves one connection at a time but you can simply Edit it if you need to make a different connection. Also rooting your phone isn't necessary
Hope that helps.
I think your best option is to re-mux the video if its video codec is the type of H.264 Vita accepts. It basically repacks the video stream & audio stream into mp4 container and is much faster than re-encoding videos.
I used to do that back in the Xbox 360 days with XenonMKV - https://sourceforge.net/projects/xenonmkv/files/xenonmkv/ . It can also transcode audio from 5.1 to 2 channels.
It would be fine if the vita wasn't so heavy. It's fine when you hold it in your hands, but with this, it just topples over.
I do recommend using it with a phone if you want to play games on it (but why would you if you have a hacked vita). I bought this one for under 4$ with free shipping and used it with PPSSPP on my phone before adrenaline came out.
This is the link to an already patched ISO https://cdromance.com/psp/phantasy-star-portable-2-infinity-jpn/ I still highly advice thanking the original creators and reading through their guide if you have any issues
I played it and took a video for you. Works flawlessly on my end.
RetroArch 1.6.3, Snes9x 2010 1.52.4.
Obviously I suck at Mario, but it's 100% responsive for me. Check your ROM file name, your RetroArch version, and your core compared to mine.
+1 to mpv!
Windows users may be more used to VLC and MPC-HC, but mpv is a lot more lightweight and modular while keeping the same total compatibility that's expected.
It's typically used by linux users, but if any windows users want to give it a try or just look at screenshots go here: https://mpv.io/
mpv is normally no more than a window that shows just the video, but mpv can be used to make GUI players that look just like VLC, which means an interface just for the vita is possible. See an example here.
So as far as splitting the headphone and mic signals on that one port, you'd need something like this for example:
https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Headphone-Microphone-Compatible-Controller/dp/B07MR5TPKV/
The catch with these is the mic/line in signal is going to be mono only.
Some laptops you might get lucky and be able to use the full port. My Dell Inspiron for example has the single combined headphone/mic port like most but when I plug something in it asks if I want to use it as a mic input, line input, speakers, or headphones. And the mic and line inputs would be in full stereo.
If you want to get adventurous: Most laptops use similar sound chipsets but use modified drivers. If it doesn't offer the above options you can potentially try a different compatible driver and see if those options are provided.
Amazon man, I just got one a couple days ago brand new for $42, I needed a second one so I could play the latest Vita games, couldn't really justify a second Vita lol. But yeah here's the link https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-TV-vita/dp/B00KVMHSUM?th=1
Anybody bought a New PS Vita recently? If so, What firmware version did it come with? Was it from amazon? https://www.amazon.com/Sony-PlayStation-Vita-WiFi/dp/B00PV515DU/ref=ice_ac_b_dpb?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1489886493&sr=1-3&keywords=playstation%2Bvita&th=1
Last month, I got a brand new Vita on Firmware 3.55 from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Sony-PlayStation-Vita-WiFi/dp/B00PV515DU/?th=1
There are multiple sellers on Amazon. Make sure you get the one with the seller called "Above All Games" and "Fulfilled by Amazon". Read the User Reviews and many of them corroborate with my experience.
So I placed a PS Vita (assumingly ver2) order from a seller on Amazon. I assumed version 2 (Slim) because the product details mention PCH-200* as well as pictures, show micro USB charging port.
FAT PS Vita I received seem to be in excellent condition (no scratches, fingerprints or any scuffs). I spoke with Amazon rep and they offered to give me a credit of $20. Given that I got a PS Vita with version 3.63 (that gives me plenty of room to hack) should I keep it?
I have a Switch (non-Homebrew) and I thoroughly enjoy it. My main reason to get Vita was to remote play with my PS4pro, mostly at night time while resting on my bed. While homebrewing was not my main objective since I have the option I might just well.
If you guys where in my position what would you do? Keep Vita 1 and homebrew it; Keep Vita 1 and put 3.69 on it or just return it an order from another seller?
I paid $135 for this vita.
EDIT: Thanks guys. After reading your comments and chat at the discord channel, I think I will keep the FAT Vita with me.
Sorry for the long read but...
I have a 32GB Sandisk USB Drive connected to my PSTV. And I completely agree that it is a headache, i have to pull it to the front of my tv stand unplug it then plug it in just to mount it each time. It is very annoying but ive been considering buying a USB Power Switch like this one: USB Power Switch That’s just the first one that came up on amazon. But anything like that would be the fix possibly for it. As long as it thinks the PSTV doesnt have anything plugged into it. But it would be alot easier to flip a little switch on and off then unplugging a cord then having to plug it back in. The only concern i have is the speed of the transfers over said switch may be slower (may be USB 1.0 or 2.0) if it even has data transfer in it, not just power. All these things im not sure of but there is certainly one that is out there to help.
Sorry again for the long spiel i just wanted to get my point across.

I got those, bought 2, no errors, using sd2vita 3.0, bought 2 from Amazon too at 9€ each, pricier than Ali express but it was home in 2 days over a weekend
For screen protection look for afunta psv1000, haven't installed them yet but its good stuff
I suggest a good external battery, I bought an Anker 20000 mAh micro USB, I use the PS Vita official cable, bought some spare unofficial ones also, get at least one spare.
Don't get the Sony external battery though it's crap, only 5000 mAh, expansive, only work with a Sony cable to recharge it for some reason and hell it even refuses to charge depending on the wall socket I plug it in.
I've spent much more in accessories than for the console itself but it's worth it!
I got mine on Amazon, probably also available on Ebay. I've been using this one since the day Fl0w released his updated hack https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075SZ3QV3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Took me forever to find this the first time I did it, spread the link everywhere!!!

i have this bad boy:
https://www.amazon.com/Elements-Portable-External-Drive-WDBU6Y0050BBK-WESN/dp/B07X41PWTY
i plan to put my collection of homebrew etc there and play them on the go and using at the same time a 512gb sd card..is it possible?
big hand player here, this L2 R2 trigger case for the 1000 has definitely helped me have a good grip while playing. not sure if there's different variations for models though.
Not completely. Here's the link, shared it from Google Play on my modern Android phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ea.deadspace_row. They renamed it as "zzSunset Dead Space", sunsetting is a process of shutting down a service.
The game's page will open only if you have it purchased on your account, though.
Oh, now that- if it’s this, it’s possible it could be ported via Android Loader but I don’t know how that process works.
Hiya, I too am in the 3.70 club and using VHBL. I found some awesome videos from this guy Skullator on Bitchute.

here's the one I followed for the emulators once I had VHBL installed - use the emulator files from the video description. Save states definitely work on this version and I'm nearly 100% that in game saves also work - though you might have to alter a setting in GPSP before it works - I think Skullator covers it in the video. An FTP is included in the files, which alongside another program - psplorer are really useful.

https://www.bitchute.com/video/5kYBo8WvkAfd/

Good luck!
There is a version of gpsp which includes save states (I'm sure in game saves work as well!?). The comprehensive video I followed to install a bunch of Vita emulators is by a Skullator and included links to decent versions of the emulators in the video description - I think this is the video:
https://www.bitchute.com/video/5kYBo8WvkAfd/
Ps. If you can find Vita FTP it's really useful for transferring ROMs over, also PSPlorer is useful for creating / deleting stuff (both work in VHBL).
Good luck and hopefully this makes the wait for the 3.70 hack easier to bear.
**OKAY SO I FIGURED OUT EVERYTHING!
Finding the link was the hardest incase anyone wants this BADASS theme, here -
Then, all you do is navigate here -
/ux0:/app/PSPEMUCFW/flash0/vsh/resource
Then copy and paste the file. Worked like a charm! So stoked!!
I know its 2 months later but I got this one.
RGEEK 2021 New Version SD2Vita PS VITA Memory Card Stick Adapter, Playstation vita Memory Card Adapter for PS Vita 1000 2000 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092QV3QPT/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_QEGX75QKK10N21CX1QJ6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I just joined this subreddit but there.is almost no answers to any of these questions.
Got it working on my old PSP 3000, runs relatively well only problem seems to be the load times for audio which aren't too bad (like 3-4 seconds at the start of a conversation).
Now on a completely unrelated note, the only problem I have to sort out is why my PSP is shutting down constantly whether it's on or in sleep mode. Wonder if it's just an old battery or something. I've had it for a long time so it could just be dying already.
Edit: If anyone is interested in the PSP version I used this link http://www.mediafire.com/file/zttnvzdnnj4/uqm-0.6.2-psp_rev002.zip
As well as the content, voice and 3DO music from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/sc2/files/UQM/0.6/
Hey all,
I'm going to be attempting a DIY vita dock and have a few questions for those who are more experienced and those who have one already.
I have gone thru the tutorials to fully understand the fundamentals, including following links on possibly removed git hub pages to locate everything required for this, which I believe I have everything ready.
I have a Raspberry Pie 3 Model B v 1.2 with a 32 gb sd card with no ac adapter.
I know the 32 gb will work fine for the files(PsVitaDockPi) to make this function, but will the Pie work bearing in mind the following...
I want to use an ac adapter to ensure the vita charges inside the dock I plan on purchasing(yes I know I need the dock to be designed properly) I'm just speaking about the actual adapter I should buy.
It seems 5V 3A is the best option to ensure the vita actually remains charged and doesn't die while inside the dock during play.
Would this work? Link is lengthy, sorry :/ - Raspberry Pi Power Supply Switch 5V 3A Certified Compatible w/ 2.5A 2A 1.5A 1A Fast Rapid Charge AC Adapter w/ 1.5m Extra Long On Off Power Switch Micro USB Cable https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B075XMTQJC/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_T313JVFZD27EA7QVMHPY.
I see people using B+ for the Pie, however I'd appreciate an explanation as to why(if there is one but looks like onboard Bluetooth?).
If there is a better place to post this, please let me know 🙏
Thank you.
All vita games are compatible with both. Generally there also shouldn't be an issue with internal storage for either version, as you can find grey market storage solutions (namely Vita game cartridges that house microSDs), like so. It's basically personal preference - I have a 2k and honestly it's so thin that it's unwieldy without a grip, but there are more color variations for the 2k model.
vita.hacks.guide will be a godsend, it'll take you less than two hours to have both the HD collection and the PSX MGS port on your Vita.
Are these games designed for a cabinet with a mirror to reflect the screen? If so then I bet there is a config file missing that tells the emulator to flip the screen for you.
Example of this: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12539/possible-to-rotate-screen-per-rom-file
My guess us that the sd card is either fake or corrupt. What brand and from where did you purchase the card?
You can use a PC program like HTestW to analyze the sd card, to determine what the problem is.
There are no good DS emulators for Vita (yet). It runs but with kinda 2fps.
Games you'll actually find a decent amount. Any Digimon game gets close to it. Digimon Story (Cyber Sleuth and Hackers Memory) are probably your best pick on anything Pokémon-esque. Everything else is in my opinion more roleplay than actually 'let your slaves fight'. If you want something new than there is still Digimon World Re-Digitize. It's a PSP game but doesn't mean it ain't do it ;D. Here's the download for you: https://cdromance.com/psp/digimon-world-redigitize-full-english-patched/
if you wanna know how to transfer PSP games to your Vita without CFW feel free to ask ^^
https://cdromance.com/psp/6-60-ctf-best-themes-collection-download/
That's the best I found. 3 or 4 don't work without disabling bootscreen, the rest are fine.
Google, 2nd hit for "psp ctf themes"
Well, the developer said here That they are playable already, however with the poor performance it currently has, we should probably wait a little more until the emulator is better implemented.
What happens when you use a third-party formatter (such as this). Is the drive recognized?
I assume it is not an issue with your microsd card adapter, since you are able to see the drive in disk management?
Hey,
I used the guide I liked in one of my previous replies. The other Redditor, u/sihnon, provides me with his build so I did not compile it myself. He shared it with me in a private message so I’m not comfortable sharing his work without his permission.
I recommend shooting him a message. While waiting for a response you could start installing homebrew. Once that’s set up you’ll need at the very least “qt” and “libusb” to run his application. To install those use “brew install qt” and “brew install libusb”.
You might also need Xcode command line tools, you can install these without installing Xcode itself by using “xcode-select —install”. If you do need these brew will tell you though so I recommend taking it slowly and carefully reading each message.
Shoot me a message if anything comes up, I’m not a expert at this by any means but willing to help you out where possible!
I'm having problems setting up an SD2Vita currently.
I've flashed the zzBlank.img several times to an SD Card, but I don't seem to be able to get it to work.
I've tried setting the SD2Vita to the mount points uma0 and grw0 but neither gives any results.
I'm using Ubuntu 18.04, and I've attempted to use the disk utility that comes preinstalled, as well as etcher.
From my buried comment:
I played it and took a video for you. Works flawlessly on my end.
RetroArch 1.6.3, Snes9x 2010 1.52.4.
Obviously I suck at Mario, but it's 100% responsive for me. Check your ROM file name, your RetroArch version, and your core compared to mine.
We could feasibly port Gnash to the Vita. It can flash files up to v10.
A flash browser extension is not happening. Even Chrome is dropping support for Flash later this year.
I'm not sure if this should be here or a separate thread, but considering most of the time I post a question on a hack sub, I get a message saying to post it in a questions thread instead, I'll start here this time:
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Unreal series, Epic has decided to give away the Gold Edition of the original Unreal game for free on Steam and GOG.com. Due to it being a '98 game, I'd love to be able to play this on my Vita if it is at all possible. How possible would it be to port the game to Vita?
Is there a way to transfer emulator saves from Vita to other devices?
I've seen this asked before, but not recently, so thought I'd try my luck again.
I have my Pi set up to sync with my PC, thanks to the wonderful work of /u/Jandalf81 (how to here) but I'd now like to do the same between my Pi and my Vita.
It doesn't look like any kind of tricks can be used to sync Vita files to onedrive/other, but maybe I'm wrong?
One thing I had been contemplating is working out how to do it via a WinSCP script which wouldn't be perfect, but would be something. Don't know what I'm doing when it comes to scripts, but plan to give it a go, unless anyone has any other solutions?
Tl;dr is there a way to (automatically) sync emulator save files from the Vita to another device?
FinalHE is a program - you simply double click FinalHE.exe
and your OS will run it.
If you're not seeing the executable file, then you probably haven't extracted the compressed FinalHE_v1.92_win32.7z
archive yet. 7zip can deal with that.
That's the release page for finalhe, not H-Encore. Finalhe is an H-Encore installer, meaning that you don't need to download H-Encore directly. The specific file you'd want there is 'FinalHE_v1.81_win32.7z': you may also require 7-Zip in order to unpack it.
Homebrew is basically any software that Sony hasn't approved for use on a Vita. We can do a lot with it, but it doesn't increase a handheld's capabilities to the point where it can run PS4 games and so on.
Probably what you've seen are users streaming games - the games themselves run on a PS4 or a PC, but they're played through a Vita.
You can stream from a PS4 using Sony's own Remote Play feature.
A hacked Vita can additionally run a homebrewed Moonlight client, allowing you to stream games from a PC with a decent-ish NVIDIA card.
Given that Moonlight is specifically described as a "GameStream client", I'm pretty sure GameStream is a requirement. I reckon you might be better off asking over on the Moonlight discord.
In order to upgrade your microSD card, you first have to image the new one. Download Win32 Disk Imager and download the .img file. Connect your new microSD to your computer with an adapter, and open the disk imager program. Make sure the right drive is selected in the Device section in the top right of the window. Click the folder icon next to the Device section and select the .img file you downloaded. At the bottom, click Write. If a warning pops up, don't worry about it and click Yes. Then unplug and plug the microSD back into the computer and it should ask you to format it. Do so only once, and make sure its exFAT and has a 64 KB allocation unit size. Once you've formatted it, you can transfer any files on the old card onto the new one and the Vita should read it just fine.
Cemu was always closed source so they didn't 'take open source code'... to be honest I like their model... the emulator might be close sourced but its their work to do what they want and its a really friendly model. Patreon buyers get the emulator 1 week early and everyone else 7 days later... I see no problem at all. Some can make the argument they are not doing it for free but I see nothing wrong with people wanting to be paid for their work. If people wants to donate for a closed source wii u emulator let them do with their money as they please and if everyone else benefits from that too then why bitch about it? And with the money they are getting the progress on the emulator is astonishing... lots of things are playable on it, its an excellent work.
And now people wants to make the same on the ps3 emulation scene and I see nothing wrong about it... you can see a progress report for january on rcps3 here:
https://rpcs3.net/blog/2017/02/06/rpcs3-progress-report-january-2017/
... and the contributions one person can make to the project dedicating it full time without having to worry about an income is incredible.
I think something wrong happened with app.db, i usually modify app.db manually using http://sqlitebrowser.org/, and tutorials from hackinformer, but i can access that site right now, for better result i recommend you factory reset your vita then backup and then doing the process again
This is tutorial i using http://www.xiaomitips.net/news/How-to-install-custom-themes-on-PSVITA/PSTV/
Can't answer about the port / USB-C Charging but as for a battery replacement this one worked for me:
https://www.amazon.com/ZTHY-Compatible-SP65M-Replacement-Playstation/dp/B00OTAZAPC
I will say this though, this will only work for Vita's that use SP65M Li-Ion batteries which I would say 95% of OLED Vitas use.
There are a small subset of Vita's which used SP65X batteries which sadly you cannot buy. It seems that some JP colored model OLEDs released somewhere in the range of 1-2 years into the Vita's life have a possibility of having the SP65X, I happen to have one of these models.
For the most part the SP65M and SP65X are identical, the size and capacity of the battery are the same but the connection adapter that connects the battery to the motherboard is different so an SP65M will fit into your Vita but it won't connect to it because the connector is too large. In my case I simply sanded down the left and right sides of the adapter of a SP65M (the one I gave you a link to) by doing a single swip at a time with a piece of sandpaper until it fit.
Honestly, it was quite annoying, I hope you don't have one of the SP65X models but there really isn't a way of knowing until you open it up to and check it.
This is the SD2Vita adapter I use, I have 5 of them and they all work great: https://www.amazon.com/Funturbo-Ultimate-Version-SD2Vita-Adapter/dp/B07F63FPT3
If you are asking for USB I assume you are using PSTV, if so no major downsides other than your USB port will be hogged so not great if you are using a 3rd party controller or need to use it to charge your controller.
Is it safe to attempt the vita 1000 battery mod with this battery? I also heard that the vita doesn't register the percentage correctly. Is there a plugin to fix that problem?
u/realRinnegatamante, man, on github there is a issue for The Conduit HD. The link for the game is this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.highvoltage.theconduit

Also, if I may ask a suggestion, could I ask for a issue for Mass Effect Infiltrator? It is such a awesome game and would love to see it on Vita
Thanks man!
In terms of performance not really but some of the earlier models were less reliable and didn't fit as well.
The SD2Vita 5.0 is the most popular and most tested.
https://www.amazon.com/Funturbo-Ultimate-Version-SD2Vita-Adapter/dp/B07F63FPT3
I have 5 of them and each of them works great.
I bought right from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/ZTHY-Compatible-SP65M-Replacement-Playstation/dp/B00OTAZAPC
This one worked great for me for a PS Vita 1000
Do you have a card reader you can plug the SD into? Just copy the backup over. If you don't, there are USB card readers like this : https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Reader-Portable-Adapter-Windows/dp/B0779V61XB
Thanks. Have you considered the USBC mod? It’s what I’m gonna do alongside the battery. I’m also gonna wrap the battery in these thermal pads: ARCTIC Thermal Pad 50 x 50 x 1.0 mm (Pack of 1) - Thermal Compound for All Coolers, Efficient Thermal Conductivity, Gap Filler, Non-Stick, Safe Handling, Easy to Apply - Blue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UYTTDO6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_6TGX9VJJSE1PPXWZHF7C?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Just hacked my first vita. Was about to finish the process by moving games over to the sd card. After filling the card with games I inserted the sd card into the sd2vita adapter and heard some clicks. PSvita didn't detect the sd2vita adapter after so I opened it up and the piece of shit has several bent and twisted pins. Not only that, the piece of shit damaged my sd card. It appears to be cosmetic damage since my PC detects it still but what the fuck.....

This is the one and the negative reviews show tons of people having the same issues with pics that look exactly like what happened to mine. Are shit quality adapters something that come with the territory of sd2vita or are there specific brands that are more reliable?
try using X-plore File Manager to transfer data via FTP, I often use it when I'm lazy to turn on the PC. If your Android supports OTG, it is better to use it for faster data transfer.
I was trying to do remote play for vita and wanted to know if it is possible to change the location of the upper left and right touch zone to to a slightly lower part of the backpad, I have a hand grip handle for the ps vita 2000 with l2 r2 trigger buttons but they dont touch the l2 r2 zone on revita when after I enabled swap touch pads on revita. The l2 r2 touch pad zones are located further up on the back pad. Ordinarily the hand grip works fine when using moonlight and I can use the l2 r2 on the on the triggers like normal but not with revita.
This is the handgrip I use for reference which has l2 r2 triggers on it https://www.amazon.com/Handle-Joypad-Protective-Trigger-Button/dp/B08D3MWTRM/ref=pd\_sbs\_1/146-5681465-8083760?pd\_rd\_w=3bWsY&pf\_rd\_p=a5925d26-9630-40f3-a011-d858608ac88b&pf\_rd\_r=K8Z3WGK61RQMHMP7PWNA&pd\_rd\_r=4293c429-8ca6-44d2-...
OK thanks for the info!! Also this is the adapter I bought is this a good one? I ask because I saw something along the lines of like a 3.0 version and a 5.0 version. I really didn't know which one to buy so I bought the first one I saw. Which was this one.
I keep reading how SD2Vita adapters are unreliable and often ship broken?
Is this true? The Funturbo ones on Amazon are pretty cheap but I don't have the money to play a lottery here with them...
This is what I'm using. It's a full android tablet. I have emulators and games and fine tune audio control plus 4 inputs and 2 sub outputs, 2 usb ports and bluetooth. The actual acr een looks like it's a good lcd 720p. But the rca converter I'm using for the PSTV downscales to what ever mess you are seeing. So if anything I just need a better rca converter. https://www.amazon.com/Hikity-Android-Bluetooth-Receiver-Support/dp/B07VGR5Z4R/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1RXKVHVON290V&dchild=1&keywords=11+inch+android+car+stereo&qid=1619526535&sprefix=11+inch+android+c%2Caps%2C670&sr=8-1-spons&am...
It uses the API. There is an Android app where you can still find, sort and filter PS3, PS Vita, PSP games, themes and stuff (PS4 and PS5 as well) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dna.PSStore
How about a microsd-USB adapter. About 7-10 bucks. You can also use the microsd in your phone connected to PC, depending how you set it up (and your phone).

So CAN this be used in place of a memory card?
i just ordered an sd2vita https://www.amazon.ca/Funturbo-Ultimate-Version-SD2Vita-Adapter/dp/B07F63FPT3 and a 64gb sdxc microsd card
I have a ps vita 2000 with a 8gb vita memory card inside it right now and confused on how to use the sd2vita, I have autoplugin and autoplugin II and both have the sd2vita plugin listed on them so I'm confused on what I'm supposed to do
This happened to me a lot on my older laptop because the USB port was underpowered. Fixed problem with an externally powered USB hub like this one.
I hear ya on that. I wound up getting one of these. https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MicroSD-Adapter-MB-ME128GA-AM/dp/B06XWZWYVP/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
Amazon warehouse had an opened one being sold for $38. I couldn't say no. I'll make due. I have an sd2vita on the way as well. Going to get another 128gb in the coming days for it. I'm not exactly sure how this will work though, having both usbmc and sd2vita, but I'm hoping I'll be able to run stuff off both.
So I saw how Ape Escape is difficult to play, due to the missing L2/R2, L3/R3 buttons. This led me to thinking that some of my other beloved games on psx might be difficult. Let alone remote play.
Then I hear someone say that a Hori grip gives you those buttons. From looking into it, it appears they press the touch panel for you. It's perfect. But those appear few and far between, plus I saw some reviews saying they were kinda bad.
I also would want a grip for my 1000. This thing looks good. https://www.amazon.com/Handle-Joypad-Trigger-Handel-(Black)/dp/B0776CVLK9/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1543019563&sr=8-15&keywords=Psvita+l2+r2+grip
Though I could only map two buttons from its appearance. But there's like a million things per page. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Psvita+l2+r2+grip&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3APsvita+l2+r2+grip
And that's just Amazon. I don't even know if this is the right place to shop.
Anybody with a grip able to weigh in?
I got THIS off Amazon and it says up to 256gb...will it handle more or is the 5.0 on it fake? Would love to put more in it (title of your sex tape)
Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/Silicone-Thumb-Stick-Analog-Thumbstick/dp/B06XG8R6NG
Tempted to buy the pack now - they are a royal pain in the ass to put on and get them to stick but once they're on good, they don't pop off. I ended up turning them sort of inside-out and then kind of "wobbling" them on to make sure they snap on all the way around.
Evo Select from Amazon:
Samsung 128GB 100MB/s (U3) MicroSD EVO Select Memory Card with Adapter (MB-ME128GA/AM)

Have never let me down.
Make sure you are using an SD2VITA 3.0 or 5.0, those are the only ones confirmed to work in all tested scenarios.
Personally, I use the SD2VITA 5.0 from FunTurbo. Here is the link to it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F63FPT3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have 4 of these and they have worked on PS Vita 1000 on 3.68 h-encore which was later downgraded to 3.60 Enso, PS 2000 on 3.60 Enso and PSTV on 3.60 Enso
Ah OK. FunTurbo makes reliable SD2Vita adapters. I have 5 of them and all of them work.
Here is the Amazon link for it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F63FPT3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
>Can I still use the Vita as intended playing normal games if I decide to insta anything on it?
Yes; the great thing about the vita hack is that it is basically a system patch, no CFW or NAND flash is required. This means that the functionality of the vita is retained and you don't lose a thing.
I have a list of "essential plugins/applications" above that you can browse to get a good idea of the options out there, but I'll go over a few here:
The main reason anyone is hacking their vita these days it to take advantage of the microsd adapter (sd2vita) that allows you to use microsd cards with no size limit in place of the over-expensive vita memory cards. 200GB of storage for 30$-40$! Sony was/is charging $100 for a 64GB memory card! (some cite this as the main reason downfall of the vita).
Adrenaline is a must-have. It is a 6.61 CFW PSP running with some help from the hardware (MIPS). Almost like having a PSP built right into the vita.
Sony seriously underclocked the vita (in lieu of the battery), so it is not running at full potential! An overclock program such as PSVShell will have many games running smoother.
0syscall6 is mandatory if you are running 3.60. It bypasses all of the firmware restrictions on games/applications.
Yes, I did it before. Not a tutorial how this(I don't knew how that it bypass limit and exist limit). Too you can get music by web browser... There are apps that mount android folders(with mp3 files,mp4, jpg), in local network then type this ip+port in url of the vita browser... Ps: I don't know if by web browser it bypass limit, but it could to be posted in r/vita because "not use homebrew" Example app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dooblou.WiFiFileExplorer
Might be possible with webcam applications like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shenyaocn.android.usbcamera , but it using Android TV instead of regular Android might make things a bit harder compatibility wise
Good luck
Great! Thanks to this video I managed to get it working on my NVIDIA Shield.
Things used:
- sideloaded USB Camera 9.7.9 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shenyaocn.android.usbcamera
- UDCD-UVC plugin 1.4
I changed the Size in the app to 960x544.
Just got the find something to get audio to my Shield and maybe a plugin for controlling the vita with the Shield Controller, who knows :)
Thanks to everyone involved!
I have a configuration that works as expected with StorageMgr but not with YAMT 4. I'm testing with:
YAMT is enabled and settings are:
YAMT storage devices are configured:
After booting - which is delightfully fast! - the USB drive isn't mounted on ux0. Running Settings -> Devices -> Storage Devices -> Driver Settings -> Developer Options -> Mount all custom partitions makes it show up though. This happens whether the USB stick is connected directly to the PSTV or via a USB hub. It suggests that the USB device isn't responding fast enough to be recognized at PSTV power on, but is working fine. The log may have more information, but I wasn't able to locate it.
Waiting longer for the USB bus to init would slow down the boot process though. Perhaps a user-configurable timeout is in order?
A guide to purchase one?
If you are looking for a guide to install, the vita hacks guide has a section on installing Storage Manager, which is a popular plugin to run sd2vita. It also includes instructions on how to format the microsd card.
