Seth, I also made a gif and I was going to post it. :D
But you were faster.
In a better quality for you: http://i.imgur.com/STxTYua.gif
PSsssst: better use gifcam next time ;)
I don't get why people don't make the gifs themselves instead of requesting them.
Use GifCam.
Upload to Gfycat or Imgur.
Here is the move of the fight. It took about 5 minutes to make, uploading included.
I use gifcam which is great. Hit record, cut out the frames that you want to remove and upload. You don't need to record a video first or any of that. Check my submission history to see some gifs I've posted of my character. All of which I used gifcam for.
I just get em from the Giants webpage. Gameday will have recent videos of big plays, homeruns are a given. I use gifcam, record at 33fps. The program is a little finicky, but it's quick and easy to use. Then I clean it up a little, and upload it to gfycat.
Nice footage. Unfortunately it's not a gif, so you probably wont get a lot of karma.
this link has a tool that makes it really easy to make a gif from a video, and from there just upload it to gfycat.
It's not complicated at all. I use gifcam since it's super easy to use. Just size it over a video. I 'record' the gif at 33fps to get it nice and smooth, but it makes the filesizes huge. Gfycat lets you play it as HTML5 video, which is way more efficient than a gif. However, you'll notice that you can switch it to gif if you want.
Open your highlight, set the size of the GIF. Keep it's biggest dimension under 640px
Set your recording speed to 16 FPS
Press Record, the quickly press play on your clip, then stop recording as soon as it's over.
Edit > delete the first 2 frames. The first frame will be the big black play button, the 2nd frame is actually the last frame of your highlight. EA's highlight system is buggy and actually puts the last frame of every highlight first. If you watch carefully, you'll see it flash for 1/10th of a second at the start of every clip on the EA site.
Delete the last frame (if you didn't stop recording in time and had another black play button at the end)
Save > Quantize
Upload to gfycat or imgur if it's small enough.
GIFs, by nature cannot handle more than unique colors 256 colors while blender exports in 8-bit color channels which allows for over 16 million different colors, you're going to have significant color loss.
As for the other stuff, I've found that GIMP doesn't do GIFs very well. I use gifcam usually and actually made a tutorial for it a bit ago.
Yep, no problem. Btw, since your post updated and you added the gif, I suggest using gifcam (http://blog.bahraniapps.com/?page_id=21) for making your gifs, that way you don't have a watermark. It is free, super easy to use, and makes efficiently sized images. Can record anything on your desktop into a gif. One of my favorite tools.
I prefer the use of GifCam.
~~It's~~ Its output is very neat!
~~But it kinda failed in this example.~~
Edit: No, it didn't my picture viewer messed up. It looks good in Chrome.
softonic is toxic, it lets you install all kinds of spyware & stuff. That's why I use this extension^^(official) to block those sites in google search results.
I think this is the original website for GifCam is this
Here's one for Windows: http://blog.bahraniapps.com/?page_id=21 With GifCam you can add to the awesome shitty GIFS on the internet yourself. Just plonk the frame over a media player and hit record. It has more depth though, if you are skilled you could make a cinemagraph.
I would definitely check out GifCam from http://blog.bahraniapps.com/?page_id=21. It allows you to select a portion of the screen to be made into a gif. It's a super small application, has no installer, and is easy to learn.
Quick note: Only download it from the source I provided. Another version was released by a different developer which bundled a keylogger. Bahraiapps has the fine version (is approximately 1.5 MB) versus the malicious app of around 2 MB. More details can be found here.
We get a lot of caps lately and I think people want more gifs, this sub got a lot of traffic because of the blue eyed girl reaction gifs and it's the highest rated post so I decided to make one with my own material for once.
With the tool Gifcam it's really easy to make one and it's free to use but but you can donate to the creator if you want!
http://blog.bahraniapps.com/?page_id=21 Have this, and profit.
For greater profit, upload them to gfycat. You can reduce the size of yours gifs there and get them hosted for free, in a handy speedy html5 video format.
>I wish I can record the screen and then just turn the video into a GIF, but instead I'm editing screenshots with Photoshop.
Gifcam does exactly this, it records any part of your screen into a small gif.
I use a program called GifCam it's really easy to use and best of all it's free. The download page has all the info you might need on how to use it.
Here's the link: http://blog.bahraniapps.com/?page_id=21
To everyone looking for how to export as a gif: OP th7org on XDA suggested this tool to record the relevant portion of the screen and save as a GIF. I just tried it and it works great!
Get gifcam
It's dead easy. Just size your capture window and hit record. You can then delete the frames you don't want. Not as powerful, but way easier, than a lot of the other gif creators.
Hah. I was doing the exact same thing last night. I recommend GifCam over Licecap, since GifCam does not have a 3 second countdown.
http://blog.bahraniapps.com/?page_id=21
The color integrity is worse than Licecap's no matter which color option you choose, but the ability to begin recording instantly is much more important.

Called GifCam, it's simple, works decently. Resize it over the images you want to make a gif of, hit Record, stop it when you want. Save, upload to imgur or where ever.
GifCam is what I use to make gifs now. But to make reverse gifs it's harder. You can use Gif Frame to preview each individual frame then capture each frame with GifCam in reverse, but that's pretty tedious so I don't do it. I would just use reversegif.com for something quick, but for quality gifs, use GifCam.
Protip, bind your mouse to the numpad so when you are adjusting the FPS manually for each frame you can move your mouse one pixel at a time.
I don't actually use any of those. xD I use this program called gif-cam. It's a super simple capture program that makes anything you record into a gif. http://blog.bahraniapps.com/?page_id=21 It's really easy to use and makes quality gifs.
For recording your game and sharing it, try out GifCam: http://blog.bahraniapps.com/?page_id=21 we use it to record our gameplay demos on RockKickass.com. I'd recommend using tumblr or wordpress.com to host your website, both have really quick setup and make it easy to post content.
I recently found this pretty easy to use tool to make gifs: http://blog.bahraniapps.com/?page_id=21 Its free and lets you do a simple gif of an area. Might help to showcase some animation, bosses or effects!
;) Have no fear!

I don't have as much experience with sites creating gifs (just that the one you linked to had a lot of ads and took way too long to go to the other frames): I use a tool called GifCam to make gifs that I heard about from an Imgur post a while back and has worked for me so far.
