It's difficult buying a house in London on your own. If the WFH trend sticks post-pandemic then things may get easier, but that's not something you can bank on.

I plugged your details into Homefinder based on the assumption that you'll be earning £70k when you're ready to buy. That would mean you're likely to get a mortgage of £315k, if you could save a chunky deposit to get you to £450k which is the maximum house value you can use a LISA on, then you've got options.

Firstly, it would take you 5-6 years to save that up if you're stashing away a couple of grand a month. There are plenty of areas in London with little 2 bed houses at that price point: Wembley, Tottenham, Stratford, New Cross, even Streatham. Here's a video with all the details.

As for a home of your own, I’ve plugged your numbers into Homefinder and you’re likely to get a mortgage around £168-192k on your combined salaries. You're going to need a chunky deposit for North London or nearby, a 20% deposit means you could afford to spend £210-240k.

If you reach the top end of that range, there are plenty of 2 bed flats in Edmonton and Cheshunt at that price, if you're at the bottom of the range there are some in Edmonton but you might be better off moving East towards Dagenham if that's an option. Here's a video with the details.

Your big issue is that you'll need to save £45k+ for your deposit. You've got £9k already, which is great especially by the sounds of the issues you've overcome. But at 400 per month it's going to take another 6 years to save enough, even if you both use LISAs. Is there anyway you could save some more? I realise this is a personal question dependent upon what you've got going on in life. If you could both max out your annual LISA allowance of £4k you'd cut that time almost in half.

Sounds like you're a determined person, so if you're happy to keep saving that long then go for it. There's always the option of moving away from London of course.

You might not think of screen recording software as a must have, but anything that makes the creation of promo materials/hype content easier seems like a must have to me.

its funny because when you go into play mode, you actually have 18 decks to chose from because you actually have 2 pages of deck slots and can switch over to the page that has the started deck for each class, so literally more than 9 deck slots and multiple pages for decks is already in the game.

Gif showing what im talking about. you can see that when you go in to play a game, you already are presented with a screen were you flip through pages of decks to choose from. having extra pages for extra deck slots is literally already in the game, and blizzard cannot in good faith tell us any other reason for why they dont let us use a feature that is already in the game other than "screw you we dont want to". its not technologically impossible, its not confusing, both of those arguments are nullified when you realize that the system is already in the game proving the technology is there, and that it isnt too confusing because they have left this feature in since day 1 and clearly they dont find it to be too confusing to be in the game since they chose to leave it in the game.

Serious talk, gonna warn people that might try this: really hard early game, you have to kite camps with golem stun and yellow cards and be extremely careful with invades, and if you're behind you're kinda fucked. Despite that, if everything goes well you'll enjoy extreme rightclick mechanics.

Sandboxie. Creates a virtual "hard disk" for certain applications to write on so they can't change anything outside of that virtual space. If you use a Sandboxed web browser, you're never getting any malware again. Lets you use keygens and other shady stuff without any risk. You can also use trial software indefinitely if you install them on a Sandbox the first time.

Puush is an incredibly useful screenshot sharing program. Press CTRL-SHIFT-4, drag mouse across section of screen you want to share, Puush uploads the screenshot to temporary storage and puts a link to the image in your clipboard.

Why do you want to avoid renting at all costs? It's a perfectly viable option if the relationship with your brother & Dad has gone south and you need your own space ASAP. It's not "throwing money down the drain" before you say it! Or do you have a friend/other family member you can stay with?

If you do want to buy then you have options. Plugging your numbers into Homefinder you'll probably get a mortgage for around £157k. 10% mortgages are increasingly coming back into the market, one of those would give you £175k to spend and you'd need c.£20k to cover deposit and moving costs, etc. Sounds like you've got a couple of months left to get your emergency fund to its £5k target. If you start saving £1k per month after that, using your LISA allowance, you should have enough within 18 months. Not sure if that's ASAP enough for you? But if you do rent in the meantime will you be able to save £1k month?

As for whether that will buy you a 1 bed flat, that depends where in the South East you are? Obviously the closer to London or Brighton/Oxford/Cambridge it will give you fewer options. But there's plenty of 1 bed flat available in the rest of the South East, here's a video that shows you and goes through your numbers. Also, if you're WFH full time and quite frankly sound like you don't need to live near your family, then you've got plenty of scope to move somewhere affordable, yes?

Next, I'd like to recognize that there are some obvious flaws in the survey when trying to determine how fast one has gained rank. Despite the flaws, the data gathered is precious. My most important goal in designing this survey was actually to see how far the community has advanced. While making this survey, I had actually considered a lot of the suggestions that have been given but dismissed them because they would likely be very inaccurate. Competitive wins and hours played can easily be looked up by anyone whereas the number of wins at the current rank and the number of hours spent idle would all be guestimations. I personally have been using https://getgreenshot.org/ for about 5 years or so and it is still one of my favorite. It can replace PrintScreen with a snipping tool that then allows simple edits like adding text, colored rectangles or arrows (amongst other features). Very useful for quick sharing!

From how both Jenkins said he was informed last minute and Alphari's recent tweet, this seems pretty bad. From what I've seen, Alphari can be occasionally very sarcastic, so there's a very slim chance this might be sarcastic and imply it's not really that bad.

But he can also be extremely cutthroat and not be afraid to share his opinions, so this could very likely be him calling BS on Jatt's recent interview. Odds moving a few percent right before a game starts isn't really indicative of anything, especially with only 20,000ish people betting on this game. A lot of the bigger bettors choose to go in late: first off to make sure the odds don't shift to a level where their intended bet doesn't make sense anymore, secondly to try to minimize the amount of time their bet can impact the odds (example of this is that some bettors will change their bets if they see an odds shift which usually indicates a bigger bettor/group of bettors are going in on a team - betting with 30 minutes gives these types of bettors 25 minutes to change while betting with something like 7 minutes gives them 2)

I personally dropped somewhere around 2000-2500$ on epiphany from across 10 accounts (https://gyazo.com/tabs/af5f8754b28d1c4762a4307cdf683838) around 8 or so minutes before the game. I always bet late and as close as possible to when bets close. I know there's a bunch of other bettors who likely do the same. Again, like I said, I don't think that oddshift means much considering that only 20,000 people bet on this match and a lot of underdog bettors went in last minute like usual. I record all of my calls to any organization that says the call is monitored for quality purposes. I don't need to tell them they are being recorded, they just told me they are being recorded so they already know. I use Google voice calling and open broadcast software (https://obsproject.com/) with microphone and speaker feed in the mixer.

As for where to move, there's a huge lifestyle difference between Bristol/Cardiff vs Herefordshire! So that's a decision you and your partner will need to make. Furlough shouldn’t be a problem for your mortgage application, as long as you can show you’ve both been earning normal salaries for the past 3 months. Lenders may ask if you’ve been furloughed, make sure you tell the truth! It shouldn’t harm your chances.

As for maternity/paternity leave, some mortgage providers will lend to you based on full time salary, but may require a letter from the employer stating you’ll be able to return on full salary. If you’ve already returned part time then that’ll make it trickier as they’ll lend based on what you’re earning now. Well I usually watch True Detective on T.V, but once I saw someone wanted a gif made, I went and loaded up the episode on HBO GO, ran a screen recording software called OBS, recorded the part I wanted, then I converted it to an mp4 using a program called format factory (which also allowed me to cut the video) and then I uploaded it straight to gfycat! Whole process probably took 5 minutes.

Depends how much each person is willing to pay for their blops. If you look at the MasL/Gulnar Sin you can understand why they do it.

Officer cap booster for the 10s cycle time. Gist X-Type booster(While being 60 CPU less fitting than the Pith Booster) + A type hardeners + drugs mean they get a easier timer tanking ratting carriers which can put out upto 3000 DPS in a lot of cases.

Some of the other stuff is purely for fitting needs. As you are pushing the ship pretty fucking hard, ever single bit of CPU is needed.

Before Faction DDA's the Solo sin was nigh on impossible to fit without a CO-Processor. Just looking at my one i get it to 99.6% CPU and even requiring some Storyline neuts just to be able to fit it right. However seeing these Sins have Faction Co-Processors seems to indicate that they don't really know why they are fitting what they are fitting and just saw a MasL/Gulnar video and went "Thats cool" without thinking about it.

Fitting up a similar style T2 Sin you need a Co-Processor in the lows along with have 400 DPS tank cold, compared to the 1550 Cold DPS tank on the Bling version along with twice the Cap stability. 40s vs 100s.

So as a short summary. Yea, blingy fit is pretty fucking important when doing solo Sins.

It's great for taking quick snaps of your screen, I use it every day. It have options to take a screenshot of your entire screen, only an app, or draw a box around what you want to screenshot and it uploads it for you right after + puts the link in your clipboard.

It's really pathetic. The raid content is alright (though I detest the death of 10man raiding), but the rest of the expansion has not been enjoyable whatsoever. Overall, I found WoD to be not very polished, as if they don't give a crap. They know we're a bunch of suckers that give into "new expac hype" and purchase the expac, so just build hype, get money, and don't deliver on promises. Lose subs, build hype for next expac, repeat.

For a quick example of lack of polish, if you look real close at the Horde Garrison on the world map, it says "Garnison", not Garrison. How they could have such a big oversight is beyond me, but it's ridiculous how unpolished various aspects of this expansion have been. The "Garnison" is just a recent one I noticed so I use that as an example.

The only reason I'm still subbed is because I can pay for gametime with gold. At this point, unless I can purchase the next expansion with gold, this is probably my last. $60 for 2 raid tiers I didn't enjoy, 8 dungeons, and no new BGs is not worth my money.

ShareX is a free and open source screen capture tool that is lightweight and has after-capture task management.

It looks like you’re able to take a screenshot, then easily send it wherever you need it. (copy to clipboard, save to a directory, edit image, upload to dropbox, etc.)

You can use FRAPS or Open Broadcaster Software to capture your game/screen, saving it to your disk.

You can then go to www.gfycat.com and click "Upload a GIF" or something similar. The max video duration is 15 seconds.

Your absolute best bet is to stop using FRAPS. It's a great program that records video in an AMAZING quality, but that's because it's completely and totally uncompressed.

A wonderful free alternative is Open Broadcaster Software. It's made for livestreaming, but it also has the ability to record video like FRAPS. It's got a few settings you can tinker with to adjust quality and size. The best part is that it's completely free, no limited trial BS. If you want an example of some footage captured using OBS, you can check out an unreleased Let's Play I recorded here.

Many people follow the scene & watch the stream but they don't play the game (just a like soccer in China, many fans but very few players), cause they are old schools from War3 Dota and now are at/close to the age of 30, so they're occupied by work and family affairs and don't have much time to play. The best thing you can do is record one of your games. If that's foreign to you, I recommend getting started with OBS, Open Broadcaster Software. It's easy to download and very simple to use - the only thing you really need to do to set it up is set a hotkey for start and end video, and maybe adjust the bitrate to a lower value if it takes forever for you to upload youtube videos.

Play arena, record one of your games, record your draft even, and let people scrutinize the whole thing. The most likely problem is that one (or more) of these statements:

No, OBS studio uses the Windows Foundation Framework as a workaround. It's not a direct VCE implementation.

I would reccommend ShareX over Gyazo. It autouploads to imgur, can capture over fullscreen applications, can record GIF's and Videos. Much better IMO. AND you can edit pictures in the app without paying

little tip, don't use Gyazo. they just lock features away behind a premium version and constantly "remind" you to go get that. and you cannot look at your full gallery or record long GIFs because of that too.

Here's ShareX it's basically the same program, but better. endless GIF Recording, screenshotting of selective areas, and uploading images to sites like Imgur or Reddit without much trouble. and plus site of using Imgur, your Images will never be deleted (atleast i never had that with anything i uplaoded)

Depends on your specs, but you can get OBS for free and switch between whether or not you want to stream for twitch/youtube/etc or record in local high-res. There's a difference in settings because your viewers won't be able to match what is required to see what you can stream/record in high-res.

Lots of customizable features (custom overlay-friendly, scrolling text widgets for donator shoutouts, etc), but it's not very new-user friendly (but there are tons of guides out there to do what you want). If you do choose OBS - check this thread out. Keep in mind, you will need asstons of hard drive space while recording with this setup or clean out recordings often. A 15 minute recording used about 4GB of space, recording 1080p@30fps and some settings changes to up the audio quality.

If you want to take it a step further, also grab a video editing program like Sony Vegas so you can cut together your own highlight reels. There are probably other, more 'free' programs you can use instead of Vegas, but I started with that and it's pretty amazing.

I've taken MalyRogue to Legend several times so it's definitely a legitimate deck.

Season 14 I climbed from Rank 5 to Legend with it, Season 15 from Rank 16 to Rank 5 before switching decks, and since then I played a different variation on the way to Legend in Season 16.

The thing is, it's quite similar to Oil Rogue, so it's really not that exciting as a long-time Rogue player. Compare the differences between Handlock and Zoo, Freeze, Grinder and Tempo Mage, Aggro and Mid-range Paladin... I identify strongly with /u/m0rkai 's feelings, Rogue is so stale at the moment. We use 2-3 GVG cards (Tinker's, Shredder + Barber), one Naxx card (Loatheb), everything else is from release. It's very frustrating to me as a deckbuilder.

Did some testing for the new attack indicator:

Different tools take different amounts of time to "charge" before you can do a full power attack (random items like food charge very fast, swords take about 1 second, axes are even slower)
It resets when you switch to a new tool (as if you're "pulling the tool out")

A damage test I did on zombies:

Spam clicking: about 22 hits with a diamond sword, about 27 hits with a diamond axe, about 30 hits with an iron sword, about 30 hits with an iron axe

Timing: 3 hits with a diamond sword, 4 hits with a diamond axe, 4 hits with an iron sword, 4 hits with an iron axe

Based on the tests (iron sword especially), you can see that it's possible to just straight up do no damage on some hits when spam clicking. If each hit had done half a heart, it should die in 20 hits. 10 of my hits didn't do anything because I was spamming. This may have to do with the fact that zombies have a few armor points by default.

edit: A kind of unrelated glitch, if you have just a plain shield in your off hand, as it takes damage it changes colour (presumably because of the changing data value). The name stays the same though.

Open Broadcast Software (referred to as OBS) is the most common software used by twitch streamers and people who record and upload pc games. Their screen capture setting is pretty decent as well

The biggest question seems to be whether you would want to be tied down to owning a home? Being on the property ladder is great in some ways, but it is a huge commitment that will make it a little trickier if you'd like to move away. Doesn't mean you can't! And prices in the NE are so low compared to most of the rest of the country that it's not such a daunting financial commitment. But ultimately it is a question you need to answer.

If you don't get the pay rise and decide to own, then according to Homefinder you'll likely get a mortgage of £121k, which with a 10% deposit means you could afford up to £135. With £8k already saved and your ability to stash away £440/mo you should be ready to move by May next year if you utilise your LISA allowance. That would easily be enough for a 2 bed flat in most of the North East, in fact you could buy a little 2 bed house in most of the NE for that. Here's a video with all the details.

If you get the new job (fingers crossed!), financially you're sound and either option is ok. The big question is are you willing to stay in the area for at least a few years?

little tip, get ShareX it's the same as Gyazo except better. it allows you to record endless GIFs and uplaod pics to multiple sites like Imgur and Reddit.

Gyazo on the other hand only allows for 7 sec. GIFs unless you PAY for the premium shit.

and also hosts images on it's own site and doesn't allow you to view older pics unless you have the Premium account. that plus more Premium bullshit

than made a screenshot. I do that with sharex under windows, which conveniently can auto-upload to imgur (which I do for reddit only, usually I use my FTP/HTTP server).

You should give Puush a try, with it ctrl-shit-2 captures the current window, ctrl-shift-3 captures the whole screen, and ctrl-shift-4 turns your cursor into a crosshair and allows you to draw a box of the area you want to upload.

After you use one of those the picture is automatically uploaded and you get a link to it in your clipboard, example link.

It's super quick, my friends and I use it all the time to quickly show stuff to each other.

For anyone that screenshots thing extensively on Windows, I highly recommend ShareX.

It lets you very easily takes a cropshot, upload it to any host you like (such as imgur, ftp, dropbox) and puts the link in your clipboard ready to paste, all in a fraction of a second. ShareX of course does much much more, such as uploading text and files, making gifs, getting screen color and much more. It's extremely customizable and has thorough history.

If you only care about screenshots, there's simpler programs too such as Puu.sh, though that only let's you upload images and to the puu.sh server. There's a bunch of other shittier apps but yeah, definitely a life changer compared to snipping tool.

ShareX master race. No built-in hosting so you upload to whatever hosting site you want (i.e. imgur) and you can even record videos.

The main OBS release does not support VCE yet, but there's an experimental branch here that you can try out, if you want.

Simple Screen Recorder is by far the best if you want a lot of power but want a simple straight forward approach to the settings.

Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is by far the best and most powerful overall solution for Linux. It is also the most complicated to use. If you want a ton of control and lots of cool features including live overlay images then you want OBS.

Kazam is problematic for me most of the time so I gave up on it.

recordmydesktop - is utter garbage whether you use the gtk version or the qt version. In fact, the developer of it agrees and abandoned it years ago. All articles that still mention this app as a suggestion proves they have no idea what they are talking about and those people should be ignored.

Vokoscreen is another option but I've never been able to get it to work, I'm not sure why but it would just constantly crash on me so I gave up on it as well.

Tough game and I did root for C9. Pretty close rounds but I have to agree with you that there shouldn't be BO1 matches. Anything can happen. Look at TI5 for Dota2. That shit lasted for a week and in main event it was BO3's and Grand Final BO5. It's not about the fact that they couldn't hold it but Valve will not finance a week long CS:GO tournament.

your camera positioning is the issue here. You spend the first 5s not actually in the tether's path - you move into it 1s before the tether jumps to you.

try using Open Broadcaster Software and then googling some settings. it's a much better program IMO and it's free with no watermarks. it's mainly used for streaming though so us it however you want.
