Or just use this one amazing website: https://www.ilovepdf.com/
There you can Merge, Split, Edit, Combine and convert to or from Word, Excel etc.
I use this one at work a lot!
Hi!
Well, I actually lied when I said that 'Serbian Statistics has published'. Popular name info is nowhere to be found in their official website. I had to send them an e-mail, and they kindly and quickly replied with a Word document in English showing the top10s from 2016 onwards.
I converted the document to PDF, in case you'd like to have a look: Download Link
Nice find! As for issue 50, just do a search for "repair pdf file", there's loads of online sites that can fix it for you. I went with ilovepdf.com. Fixed it but the cover was the last page. Easy to move to the front with a pdf utility.
PDFs don't support images with an embedded transparency layer. Instead they use two images with one image acting as a transparency mask for the other one.
If you copy the image directly from the PDF, you'll only copy the one with the actual RGB data, not the transparency data.
To fix this you need to use a tool that's actually capable of extracting both the RGB image and the transparency mask image.
Ilovepdf.com's "PDF to JPG" tool can do this. There's no doubt more tools out there, but this one does the job. Make sure you pick the "extract images option".
This should give you a big old archive with all the pictures in the PDF. Find the one you're after, along with the black and white mask right next in the file order. They'll look like this.
Open these in your favorite image editor as two layers. Make sure they're both the same size. If not, scale down the one that's too big.
Next you need to use the black and white layer to create a layer mask for the RGB layer. How to go about doing this will differ between different applications. I use GIMP so the following instructions might be exclusive to it.
Use the "Color->Color to Alpha" function on the top black and white layer to make the white pixels transparent.
Next right click on the black and white layer and click "Alpha to Selection". Then hide that layer by clicking the "eye" icon next to it. (Or delete it. We are done with it.)
Next right click on the RGB layer and select "Add layer mask". Choose "Selection" in the list, and tick the "Invert mask box".
Now you can save the result as a transparent PNG. Or keep editing and do whatever with it.
If this is too hard to follow, I can try to add some more images of the process.
You can create your own PDF in 3 easy steps (or 30... depending on how you wanna look at it).
Here's what you'll need...
After installing the Chrome plug-in...
Step 1: Go to the first Marketing Bullet. Click on Print Friendly version and save it to your computer.
Step 2: Repeat 28 more times.
Step 3: Use the free compiler to create your own "access-anywhere" bullets archive.

It would be a good idea to compress the PDF files! As they are now, they make for a hefty and long download, and take up much more file space on google drive and similar backup programs. I plan to do the same for my own copy of the beta PDF, but it would be a good idea to do it for wider accessibility
If you don't know how to approach this sort of thing, I'd recommend ilovepdf's free online compress pdf page.

You have 2 main options.
1) Spend the money on either Acrobat DC (not reader), Phantom, or a different full PDF editor.
2) Upload the file to a website which will split it for free but probably sell the info you give them.
Which is preferable is your call.
yes, dont worry - once you get to the final 'submit' button and pay stage, then you'll get a link to the company handling the biometric appointments in your country to chose the date and book the appointment (probably VFS or CScontact...or some name like that...I forget), You will also then have a link to the portal where you upload all your docs. Here you can upload whatever you like, one pdf at a time, and there is a little dropdown list next to each upload to say what category it is in...like 'financial proof' or 'residency proof' etc. For proof of relationship docs I put them in the category 'other'.
By the way https://www.ilovepdf.com/ was very useful for me to convert your docs to pdf before uploading. If you hit the upload limit and they ask you to pay to keep using, just open an 'incognito tab' in chrome and carry on ;)
pdf file the code is too long check the file for screenshots
Pdf file the code is a little too long so it's better to see the screenshots i put in a pdf file
I FIXED IT (yes, after 8 hours of dumb me trying everything I could think of)!! The problem was that the file was too big. The pdf I imported was 6.3MB, and so the pages were rendering and loading really slowly, and it was bugging out. I simple used the website https://www.ilovepdf.com/compress_pdf to compress the file, and it's all good now! Thank you to those who tried to help <3 i hope this helps anyone who has this problem too, as I couldn't find a solution online :D
Large file email: If you have Gmail use gamil to send it... Because large files automatically get dumped into Google drive and it will be sent as link... Recipients can use link to download the file...
If not use Dropbox basic (free 2gb cloud storage) and upload file to there and get link to email out... Recipients can use link to download the file...
Or maybe use wetransfer... I think that does not need to create an account at all...
Password protected pdf merge: Try open a password protected pdf > print > save as pdf... I think that might will generate a new pdf but without password protection... Then use ilovepdf Web tool to merge into single pdf... https://www.ilovepdf.com/merge_pdf
If not do old school style.. Print out the password protected pdf documents to get hardcopy then scan all together in a file...
There's online unlockers, ex: https://www.ilovepdf.com/unlock_pdf
Even though it says "password" I think it removes all protection. If it doesn't work can you give an example of what you are trying to do? Copy-paste text from the PDF file somewhere? It might not be selectable text because it's scanned. You would need to process the PDF with an OCR reader if that was the case.
You have right! when i typed that, i had found a certain website, in which for some reason, the iOS itself popped only the default dialog for "files" upload. So i wrote that. I tested anywhere else and the upload works. Do you wanna to examine why the website doesn't hook the upload dialog? https://www.ilovepdf.com/repair-pdf please check if you have some time
Hmm, idk about PDF editors, but why not go to a PDF to Word file.
Here's the link I found if you're using an older version of word.
https://www.ilovepdf.com/download/6d1j6jdp7bbr2zt0A49nyz23dt3c8qfxqqz6tpwcjms5s9yt1rybnf9lrr7npwpz7A3n3k8hchdxc7sn4985pvrnwhrrrvjlA1fm8rjhfAtAk0vy21b1l07xwfprvhlq0qykvs1rfrynrvjkwvd0dhhcv2k0dgAvn7wc2dlAtlwmAjll4q6q/37o
What I did was cropped and printed in landscape A4s and pasted it over old calendars.
Edit: https://www.ilovepdf.com/pdf_to_jpg
You can also convert to jpg to make it easier to crop/print in word/powerpoint
Just to add another idea into the pile...
You could use an online tool like at www.ilovepdf.com .
To be fair, I haven't used it myself, just passing on the recommendation of a friend.

Thanks, it's more compressing the individual .PDF files I'm interested in. I know if I upload them to https://www.ilovepdf.com/ each one will lose 5%-40% without a noticeable quality drop. I tried a few local command-line tools but didn't find one that actually worked.
There is also this lovely online website called iLovePDF. You don’t need to register and it’s very easy to work with.
It does a multitude of conversions: word to pdf, pdf to powerpoint, excel to pdf, jpg to pdf... You can even add a watermark and tinker with the pdfs such as re-arranging, compressing, merging and adding page numbers!
I'm a few sessions ahead of you; my players just started book 6 on Saturday. I assume you're looking for fan made maps? I also was unable to find any. Instead I used I love PDF to strip all the individual images from my PDF and just used those as the maps. The resolution is a bit low, but it's better than nothing.
I don't think so, but you can still export your database as PDF files (+ include subpages), then use another service to merge your PDF files (for instance this one).
If the data is well structured you can use this, https://www.ilovepdf.com/pdf_to_excel , I have used it before for whenever we get data sheets on pdf format and even with some catalogues, there are many pdf to excel converters this one in particular mentiones they do not store data after you download it and it's stated in their data privacy, I had to look for one that did this to be able to use it at work, it should do the job and once it's on excel you can do everything as usual.
It doesn't work that way (not 100% sure about PDF - maybe it supports some kind of compressing data or something) but in image case:
In order to have decreased size of the file you have to cut something - size or quality (in most cases and with reasonable settings decreased quality is kinda invisible for observer).
Just checked:
https://www.ilovepdf.com/help/documentation
> Compress PDF
> ...
> The higher compression, the lower file size and quality.
so it cuts the quality
I'll look into it (unless someone else will do it first), probably later today (but I can't guarantee it).
Thanks for the answer, I looked there but I didn't find anything (maybe I'm wrong). I want to know if there is something to decrease the size of a pdf/jpg only with a shortcut (like this website does). E.g: pdf/jpg size 4 mb and with a shortcut the size became 1mb.
I use a website called WriterDuet with automatic formatting, and there's a feature in there that lets you export it natively as a PDF. If I have to write in Word, I use I Love PDF to convert it.
> I have been searching for a solution for a few days now.
I've found one in 3 clicks. Literally first link in google "merge pdf online" gives me this website https://www.ilovepdf.com/ that just works.

I use this site all the time, mostly for compressing PDFs. It is fast and free.
It is especially useful when I have a large presentation - it will often compress it from 50mb to 5mb. They have a lot of other PDF functions too.
Cant go wrong with these either
I have also personally used Nitro Pro to great effect. some PDF's though are proprietary to Adobe, and they need to be edited/viewed with Adobe.
> Running Microsoft office
I assume you know you can't install Windows software on a Chromebook so you're referring to the online version.
> 1080p screen minimum
No such thing on an 11" and there's no point anyway at that size. 13" is where high res starts to make a visible improvement, at least one worth the performance hit and higher cost.
> PDF reader/editing
There was a thread here yesterday about PDF editing choices. I don't need anything fancy and use this site but there are several others.
The C201 is a decent, low cost 11" - I was just using a friend's yesterday - and was on 2015 lists of best budget Chromebook. Screen is ok, keyboard better than average for a budget, performance is fine for expected use.
I wouldn't pay over $220 CAD for this though due to its age.
