I have seen a grannysquare that looked as 3D as dragon scale, but it was worked very small...
Is hopefully helpful. I saw the picture and saved it for later but had not have the time to really search or try for it.
The value of Lithophane cups are usually based on the quality or rarity of the image. http://www.juxtapost.com/site/permlink/f4435b30-c9c6-11e1-b274-afd72c9fdf2a/post/this_is_a_japanese_geisha_girl_lithophane_tea_cup_when_you_hold_the_cups_up_to_the_light_a_girl_appears_otherwise_it39s_just_a_white_bottom_i_use_to/
Here is the plan. Collect up as many of these as you can. Go to one of many web sites that shows you how to make Christmas wreaths from paper. Like this one. Make sure it looks like a Christmas decoration, and also make sure it is obviously showing some WatchTower lables. If you are not that creative, just make some paper chains Put them on the front door. I think they would make excellent JW repellent.
I don't know anything about baking, and someone will be helping me. But I'm going to make a Companion Cube cake for my friends birthday (doing as much of it myself as possible).
What kind of icing would I be using to make This cake?
I've written and erased 3 versions of this post because I don't know how to relate to you what I felt when I read your line about your husband's ex being prettier than you. What I really want to say was said best by a television character, so I'll just leave this here, and remind you that he married you for a reason.
OOH yay knitters unite! I'm trying to figure out a way to incorporate knitting in our wedding too! I want a tulle veil so I've opted not to knit that, but am thinking maybe a bolero or something. I was also thinking maybe doing these for either centerpieces or our favors. We're into canning too, so we're making homemade jams and salsa for our favors.
I would love to see your veil!!
To make it last all night you should use a silicone spray, like this one
If you don't use something like that, depending on how much dancing you do and the time of year/weather (read: sweat!) you could expect: panda eyes, kind of clumpy foundation.
If you're having an outdoor ceremony and using SPF, definitely research because some can reflect under flash and make you look very very shiny.
After reading through the comments (and good ones they are), I'm picturing something like this.
yeah that's a good point, although I was thinking something more like this that's not really practical to use http://www.juxtapost.com/site/permlink/e3edd1a0-9b88-11e1-a671-73b73c598b07/post/wood_filled_faux_fireplace/
The description is a repost itself.
NOTHING IS ORIGINAL!
If you want to be able to follow the new episodes, I strongly recommend you start with the 11th doctor (Matt Smith). After that, go back and start watching from the start of the reboot with 9 (Eccleston/Rose). There is definitely not enough time to fully get caught up if you start way back with 9 right now. Sure, there might be an episode with 11 that may not have that SO MANY FEELINGS effect if you don't watch right from the start, but only minimally. Plus, you can always re-watch it after fully catching up and say "OMG I TOTALLY GET THIS NOW /MESSY CRY/" I mean, no-one really got the impact of Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead until we got into 11/River.
Here's a pretty fantastic info picture thing on the subject (I hope that link posts properly.. it's my first comment, I usually just lurk!)
Also, depending on the decor of your home, I’d recommend adding a decorative molding piece above the top door trim piece for flair. Paint all of the trim/ doors, frames pure white with cabinet/trim/door gloss paint and move on to the walls with a more cool color spectrum if you’re looking for a change of scenery.
Kinda like this. http://www.juxtapost.com/site/permlink/22c9d940-57a0-11e1-817b-c12ea51722ff/post/diy_crown_molding_above_the_doors/
It's organza. It's not really tutorial worthy, as you just cut out several flower shapes and then stitch them down using the beads. You can make it any shape you like. Here's a basic visual: http://www.juxtapost.com/site/permlink/8f4176d0-9b69-11e1-8d15-19bb59b74073/post/organza_flower_diy_wedding_craft_/
But if you look up organza flower tutorial there's heaps of different ones out there.
I think this cat needs prosthetics.

These suggestions might be too basic, but if I remember correctly you are pretty new to crochet, so maybe they'll be helpful.
Double check that you are tightening your loops around the right part of the hook. On tapered hooks (like the ones by Boye) there is a long throat section that goes to the shaft part. If you tighten your loops on the throat the loops will be too small and the whole project will be too small. You need to tighten them on the shaft part. A diagram can be found here: http://www.juxtapost.com/site/permlink/855a4740-151d-11e2-a17f-c94edc7f4a8b/post/parts_of_a_hook_by_appliejuice/ to better show what I am talking about.
Otherwise, you might be crocheting way tighter than the pattern maker- I know I crochet too tight so I use a larger hook than asked for. Is there a gauge provided? Maybe check that and see if that's the problem, if so move to a larger hook.
I'm going to second that a fringe might not be your friend in this case, because you have such a young looking face already! What about a side bang? I would take a good 2-3 inches off the length, add layers, and try out a side bang! Something like this
With, but I'd go with a very thin bling-y sash like this.
50% done! Two balls down, two to go! I've calculated that I can crochet three more repeats of the fan pattern (nine rows) and have enough to make the scallop edge alteration, like Raveler fanalaine's border.
I tried to get a better view of the yarn with a close up, but my camera/lighting doesn't show it off as well as it looks IRL (isn't that always the case?). :)
