When I'm out with the kids, I use this app as a useful reference, though obviously with Covid some of these may be temporarily unavailable

Ah sorry forgot to paste the link! It's called flush, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=toilet.samruston.com.toilet&hl=en_US
This app is exactly what's needed for the situation. Can't get caught short when you know of every loo in a 10 mile radius.
It's a little thing, but Flush is amazing for finding public toilets! That's all it does, but it does it well. If i remember correctly it is a paid app though, and there's probably a free alternative.
From purely a consumer point of view, here's some thoughts from my arse:
It's a bit shit from a usability point of view. The embedded Google Map can't zoom with the mouse wheel, can't navigate after clicking (even after the click through), search radius is way too big (who wants to drive 8km across town for smoko? It's gotta be within 5 minute trip time, which is all of about 1 or 2k) the Wordpress blog format is a bit gross (too many columns, too much whitespace, not a very nice font), can't view a listing easily (sorted by distance), and the layout makes it so there's a full page in front of you but the info you actually want is in a tiny little box that doesn't automatically navigate when you click/tap on it (it is instead a click-through to a new page)
On mobile it's worse because the map fills your screen, so even after you click through for more information you can't see anything until you scroll down. Speaking of click throughs - you might want to lose that. Click throughs break the flow, and especially on mobile (which shuts off data connections smartly to save battery), it puts a lovely big delay between input and result which is bad UX. If you're targeting blokes in the field you need shit simple and easy so they can mash away at their phone and head off...
IMO, lose the blog format. Have a tab up the top for 'blog' (News / About / Contact Us) and make the front page way way way cleaner. You know what I'm thinking of? A website version of this, but for smoko joints not shitters.
Remove all the ratings and comments and what not, just a simple thumbs up and down (and maybe a flag option to handle things that arent there) to keep things flowing. Throw in a 'submit' button - probably best as a tab.
Love the idea, but it's just way too awkward. At the moment, it's easier to open Google Maps and type 'takeaway'.
Man får utforska. Hatar att behöva fråga om toaletter.
I made this project just for fun, and to show how we could design and build a modular, testable iOS app. I want to create an Android app using the same loosely coupled architecture, just to see if it's possible.
There are apps like Flush which solve the problems, and you might want to check them out.
I’m currently living out of my car and was lurking r/urbancarliving for a while before posting this. I was told by someone over there that this could be useful here as well.
I used Flush almost every day as a delivery driver. I haven’t seen it posted here, yet it’s been, at times, a lifesaver during gig work and for emergencies. I contribute new toilets whenever I find them because IMO this is such a valuable resource that I hope y’all find helpful.
