This one works great with my e60 install. Tried with two units, 2gb and 4gb ram.

The Cambridge Dictionary disagrees with you. *shrug*

You could always go for one of the retractable ones. I don't know if that particular one is good - I'm just using it as an example.
You could leave it down 99% of the time and if you happen to get pulled over, you could probably play dumb and say you had it retracted to take some pictures and forgot to put it back up. Chances are they'd be cool with you just pulling the plate back out.
Do you have an obd reader? If you do then you can "register" the battery with the car by yourself. This is what you would need. I made an offer @ 85.00 from that same seller about 5 months ago and they accepted. It's not too difficult to find the software and learn how to read and write the coding modules. [BMWCoding](www.bmwcoding.com) has a lot of good resources.
If not then you might consider buying the battery at a 3rd party then getting a quote from the dealership for a battery coding. If the shop that says they can do it for $250 and they have the ability to code the car then it sounds like a decent deal.
From Instagram user sportfahrer's feed:
>Now & Then: 40 Years of BMW 3 Series. I restaged an old image of my father together with his friends and a BMW 3 Series. The „now picture“ shows the same angle at the same place with the new BMW 3 Series – 36 years later. The „then picture“ was taken in 1979 in Innsbruck.
I highly recommend following him, he's a great source for phenomenal car photography.
This one sat in a guy's driveway with a for sale sign in it for about a month before I called and asked what he wanted for it. I'm in southwest Ohio, and most of them in this area are priced extremely high so I didn't even consider asking (had another 89 325i already). My brother was looking for his first car and I figured I would call and ask what he was asking, to see if my brother could afford it. (He loved my E30 and wanted one pretty badly). Called the guy and he said he had inherited it from his grandfather who passed away in 2013 and hadn't been driven much since his death. He said he would take $500 for it. I showed up to take a closer look, and a test drive. Brakes were worn to the metal, needed significant cleaning (boxes of newspapers and other junk filled the back seats and trunk. This junk included old bottles of apple juice and iced tea). I also saw no proof of timing belt replacement, so I used that among the other small things to talk him down to $300 cash. Picked up the car the next morning and my brother started cleaning while I started the timing belt and water pump job.
It's in great shape. Runs great and has great compression, leaks no fluids and burns very little oil. Here are some more photos of the car from other angles:

That's the Bentley manual for my BMW (as an example). Has pretty much everything you need to know in there. OP is talking about getting the relevant Bentley manual for his BMW. Seeing as a bit of Googling means you can find it online for free, I'd heartily recommend it.
So since this was originally from Germany, you might like to know the backstory of your car at that time, and why driving it in Germany in 71 would have made the original owner be presumed to be a terrorist... here's a short documentary I made about BMW and their bizarre association with terrorism at the time; towards the end you will seen my own yellow 71 BMW put in a guest appearance!
2nd Generation Chevy Corvair, with what looks to be custom grills and a custom 330i badge.
Edit: On another note, the E46 was the first 3 Series to offer a 330i model, and this is obviously a bit older than that.
To a certain extent, the Corvair did the 'BMW look' before BMW did.

I just bought the Chemical Guys Watermelon Soap and it does the job and also smells amazing. Not sure why it needs to be delicate for black rims, but it is safe for wax and sealant so it should be fine.
They are pretty to change out. Just need all your basic tools for changing breaks.
I actually got some from Amazon found here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MQW6MR6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_N7JWAbN7DMBQC
But if you want some identical ones from somewhere more official, I also saw these and some other ones by Spec-D: https://www.carid.com/2006-bmw-3-series-headlights/lumen-u-bar-projector-led-headlights-389000607.html
I saw this exact pair of headlights from anywhere between $310-400 and they all look the same and mine seem to work well. I saw positive reviews and I'll post mine here shortly, but they work perfectly well. If I had one complaint, it's that the high and low beam lights are still halogen yellowish instead of white, but that's an easy fix and it's so minor that I may just wait until they bulbs go out. Overall, I'm beyond happy with them!
I've personally used Mobil 1 0W-40 in all my BMWs for years with great results. It's an approved oil on BMW's own lists and is pretty easy to find for a good price on Amazon or at Walmart in 5 quart jugs. If you order from Amazon and haven't bought the oil filter housing tool yet, this is the one I use.

If you like it and have the funds there isn't alot of reason not to. The motors in them are very reliable the only problem some people have is the heat from the motor can be a nuisance especially without fairings.
Also you can pick these up stock for a few thousand and do what they did. Cafe racers are mostly removing fairings and adding a seat and lights, im making light of it but its not too bad to do yourself.
I use a bluetooth --> 3.5mm adapter. Just plug this thing into your aux port and your all set!
There are dedicated plastic polishing kits, like this one, designed for gloss black trims. I would use a dedicated plastic polish, and I would not recommend using paint polish on any plastic element.
It could be a couple other things, but that would be the worst of them.
Is it the air con that's doing it, or the heat? They're different systems and usually a problem with one does not necessarily mean the other is faulty. Is it a manual climate control or the automatic one? If it's manual and it works on the highest setting it's the blower motor resistor. There are a few things that could cause it.
I'd suggest picking up a Bentley manual. They're immensely helpful.
There's an ugly black rattle can'd set on eBay now for $650 with free shipping. Refinishing runs about $100 a wheel. I'm on my phone so I can't post a link. I am not affiliated, just looking for some myself.
EDIT: I was wrong on the price and location: here's the link to the wheels.
EDIT 2: Here's the wheels in Philly. They're $650, but not poorly painted, but still need work.
Yeah love it, thank you for the nice comment.
Those are the wheels that came with the sport package in canada for the year '11,dunno which style it is, they are 18" instead of the usual 17". They are pretty but a pita to clean. Yeah, this color is so rare I had to order it new.
I also think it's one of the last real BMW. My next new car will driving itself anyway so I won't care how it drives then.

They are a great color and work well. I like the way they warm up. No codes. The only thing that is disappointing is how little light makes it to the outer rings. I wish I had invested a few more bucks and got the 85watt per bulb ones. I decided I would just consider it a mod like I intentionally wanted the inner rings bright and the outer rings dim. The way the head lights are designed make it obvious the outer rings were supposed to be dimmer anyway. I have big hands so it was a struggle to get the bulbs in place.
The BMW kidney grills date back to the 1930's but the 'face' on the BMW New 6 (The front most iconic BMW cars from the early 70's to the late 80's are inspired from, example the E30) debuted in 1968.
US, Virginia. Here is one for 1800, no one says that this is the price that you will pay. Try to search on autotempest. Of course you may need to drive for a couple of hours to get a good deal.
Like you said, I would check for vacuum leaks and if your exhaust is loud maybe you have an exhaust manifold leak. Also test fuel pressure and make sure your pump or regulator isn't starting to give out. I had a similar problem on my e90 and it took forever to figure out the problem.
As for the shifting, sounds like a clutch issue.
Edit: invest in one of these, it links directly to my phone or tablet. I use the BMWhat software, but if you have an Android device you need to use the Bluetooth version of the adapter not the wifi version.

The reason that the car is considered timeless, and what I agree with is it was styled pre-Bangle era, so the lines are still old school BMW, which a lot of people like and what some consider timeless.
E46 ≠ E46 M3 at all, again, apples to oranges, and a pretty stupid comparison at that considering there are "millions" of E30s too, but only the M3s are considered timeless. How is the E46 any different? In 20 years an E46 is going to be in a junkyard while an M3 will be a garage queen. They're special cars and people take care of them and hold onto them.
I think you might want to check out the definition of the word timeless - classic, lasting, enduring, immortal are all good examples of words to describe the E46 M3, or any M3, it's an iconic car that will definitely go down in history, it already has.

Apparently (so far) it doesn't affect us in the US because EU versions have some kind of special port besides the "regular" one which allows reprogramming without having the car turned "on" (IE the ignition on, not motor).
Since you can't turn the US cars on without the key, we're safe...until they figure something else out.
If you're really worried about it, I recommend familiarizing yourself with killswitches, as it's still the most effect theft deterrent, and cheapest.

We tried using collapsible cargo holders for holding the grocery bags, but it took up too much space. We've since switched to insulated grocery bags since those hold their shape well if you zipper them up. Here are a couple of examples (the ones we like aren't sold any more):

Of course, these can still tip over if you take a turn too hard.
Just check out wireless Bluetooth adapters on Amazon, there are dozens. I got this himbox because it was cheap, its very small and subtle, easy to use, but the sound quality fluctuates and sometimes is pretty poor
OP - Here's a link to this on Amazon in case you are having trouble finding it. This is the only product that I've seen that accomplishes what you're going for.
I opted for a $5 version that doesn't support steering wheel controls or song display and will upgrade my head unit in the future.
Yes it does. Four steps total; 1000 grit sanding, 3000 grit sanding, plastic cleaner w/ drill operated buffing wheel, then sealer.
edit: Amazon link to the product I used https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-G2980-Heavy-Headlight-Restoration/dp/B01M2D763D/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_263_tr_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=JWS85HZN5XR0X4HH5BNY
I used the Bluetooth OBDII adapter I got on Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073XKQQQW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_kvw5Cb3ZXY7X7 and the BimmerCode app for Android. Not sure how to go about it with other methods, but the 2addicts forum had plenty of info.
This thing. It's honestly pretty great for the price. I wanted an OEM+ look + AndroidAuto. I haven't been able to get AA to work though (music over bluetooth works fine though, so I'm content for now), and I did have to do a little bit of dremelling of the housing to get it to fit right, but overall I think a pretty good use of $250.
it is on amazon - I also have one for one of my keys:

Try applying some Gummi Pflege to the rubber joints on the retractable hardtop and window moldings. It solved a similar problem on my E93, and is used by many BMW techs to better seal the top. You can get it at Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/nextzett-91480815-Gummi-Pflege-Rubber/dp/B075MKR3LR/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?
Got a driveway? MHD is all DIY. Buy a good tested cable from BimmerSoftware, then go to the Play Store and download the MHD F Series app. You'll want a good battery charger too to avoid killing the battery during the initial long write. (After that any changes and updates only take a couple of minutes vs the hour or so of the first one) Buy the Map packs that include stage 1, follow the directions, and flash it yourself. You can then tweak options, buy the logging feature if you want, and once you have supporting mods like downpipe and intercooler flash a Stage 2 map for even more power.
I recommend using a bluetooth setup in which you don't have to plug anything in, unless you do want to charge it.
I have one of these tune2air bluetooth adaptors. Sure the audio quality isn't up to par if you're an audiophile but there's not much difference. I use spotify with it, and songs will continue where they left off, and start up without having to touch anything on the dash or the phone. I'd simply leave my phone in my pocket, with bluetooth on of course. Able to change tracks and volumes through the steering wheel, and fits just fine in the arm rest compartment.
My z4 has the same issue with the aux input getting input whine from the USB sitting net to it. What I did was buy a bluetooth adapter that sits hidden under my seat and is connected to the aux input. I'm not sure why but I've never had issues with that getting any audio wine.
I get in my car, my phone connects to the bluetooth adapter and I select Aux on the radio and stream Pandora. Sounds great.
My Z has bluetooth but it doesn't have a2dp so I can't stream music through it.
Not this exactly, but something similar. https://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTC450-Bluetooth-Hands-Free-Input/dp/B009NLTW60/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1475425170&sr=8-6&keywords=bluetooth+radio+adapter+auxillary
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ZIPW0W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 These are them. Still trying to figure out how to get them to look like real halos, since the ones that come are like flourescent and dull.
I have one of these (UK Amazon) It's brilliant. Even used it outside the car a few times. Would highly recommend for the price it is. Means my iPhone sits perfectly between the central display and the dashboard :P
Probably more hassle than it's worth to get them on my car... Maybe I'll look into it. What kinda oil leaks you got? If you don't have some already, Meguiar's Ultimate Black makes the plastic trim look brand new. 10/10. Peanut butter works well, too.
I highly recommend Liqui Moly. It's one of germany's highest rated oils. It's rated for bmw and won many awards. An indy shop recommended it to me and as soon as you change it you'll notice how much smoother the car runs. It's not that much more expensive than Mobil or Castrol either. Here's the one I used in my 2008 535i.
I use this Bosch impact gun - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003UV90P2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00.
It is amazing. Takes me 10 minutes to swap the wheels off the car from street to track tires when I'm at the track. With studs, I spend more time torquing down each lug nut then I do actively removing the wheels.
You can get the Carly app and dongle.
You can probably get this cheaper one, but I didn't want to risk it at the time since I was on a time crunch. http://www.amazon.com/Foseal-Scanner-Adapter-Diagnostic-Andorid/dp/B00W0SDLRY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1447381370&sr=8-1&keywords=OBDII+wifi+adapter
The app is $45 and supported on iOS and Android.
EDIT: I was able to search through the reviews and only one person made a comment about using it with the Carly app and he said that it worked. Might be able to save some $ with the $20 dongle than the $75 one.
EDIT EDIT: I also just realized that the links I supplied are only for iOS. You'll need a different dongle if you're using Android.
I have a bag of them. I bought them off of Amazon, I believe. I only used one or two on my E90 to replace ones lost during service. I think they are regularly missed.
You may be able to find them cheaper, but here's a link I could dig up: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007M3C8YO
I mean a clever grip essentially does the same exact thing. It's not amazing but mine's been helpful for nav and waze as there isn't a good place to tuck your phone within line of sight in a bimmer
You know what may be cool? If you could get a F1 style tire warming bag for a road tire, that may be a nifty thing to keep it in. What sort of car would this be in?
Looks like they are available here for most 328i years:
http://www.amazon.com/BMW-Genuine-Cover-Front-325xi/dp/B007RHWZNO
Be sure to plug in the year at the top of the page to see if this is right for you.
It won't be painted though. That is kind of the tricky part.
I still have and use the same radar detector from over eight years ago (Passport 8500 X50). I’m sure the world of radar detectors has changed since then, but it still serves my needs well and has more than paid for itself by now. Despite its age, I’ve not felt the need to go with a newer unit.
No need to pay $15 for new suction cups, either. Swing by Walmart or your local dollar store and look through their shower caddy suction cups. I found some identical to what originally came with the unit and they’ve worked great for years. They’ll look something like this (and these may be the same ones I have): http://www.amazon.com/Adams-Manufacturing-7500-77-3040-Suction-Small/dp/B00009UI7L.
I think what you have is Crazing. It's small cracks under the surface of the plastic. As to why it happens, not sure. Could be the way air flows over the car or the way the sun hits it when parked.
Anyway. You need to wet sand it out. Start with 400 grit wet sanding paper and wet sand until you remove all the damage and the light is a nice uniform shade of opaque finish. You need to make sure you remove all the damage with the 400 grit or lower. Make sure to keep spraying with water. 80 percent of your sanding should be spent on the lowest grit removing the damage. The rest of it is just buffing with finer and finer grade of micromesh. Rinse off with water when done and apply wax when finished and buff wax to shine.
Get yourself a bluetooth scanner and download an application on your phone.
If you're on Android I can recommend the BMWhat app - it allows a certain number of free ECU reads per some arbitrary period before you have to buy it, but there are various alternatives that read codes for free (but leave you to look up what the codes mean).
For the headlights, get something like the 3M headlight restoration kit. Make sure you put some sort of UV coating on it, so it doesn't fog again quickly.
Run flats are expensive and shit for ride quality and performance. For the difference in price, you can have a set of good performance regular tires and a AAA membership in case you have a major blowout. For small holes, BMW makes a mobility kit which is invaluable to any motorist, not just BMW drivers. It plugs into the power port and contains an air compressor which can be used to inflate anything from tires to basketballs, and has an integrated "tire slime" system which is essentially the run flat liquid that seals the holes and allows you to make your way to a service station.
As far as tires go, the consensus is:
Michelin Pilot Super Sport - For the highest performance. Do not last as long, very expensive.
Continental ExtremeContact DW - Incredible performance/$$ ratio. Lasts longer than the pilots, costs less.
These are summer tires, so driving in the winter will be problematic unless you have a secondary vehicle or wish to purchase winter tires. Make sure you get a proper alignment when running sporty tires, as they will wear unevenly and very quickly if you are out of alignment.
I bought the tune2air Bluetooth adapter and Y-cable, it has worked well so far. Allows you to change songs from the car as well.
You can usually do it yourself with an OBD->USB cable, I don't know which one works with your 2013, but for me 2009 I bought a KCAN/DCAN and it works fine.
There's software (INPA) you can get on your computer that will let you do it.
Or you could have someone remote code it, or take it to a dealer or bmw specialized mechanic if you can't procure the needed parts/etc
There's also apps that let you do it as well.
For a 2009 I can register a battery with something called MHD Flasher, there's also apps like CarlyBMW for android
If you have an E9x series 2013 335i you can use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mhd.flasher.n55&hl=en, I don't know what's available for the F series if you have the sedan, sorry
Depends on what you decide to get I suppose.
Torque wrench, maybe $50.
Another $10-20 for a sleeved socket.
Impact wrench around xmas you can probably get a decent bundle for around $100-150 that includes one. (to be clear, I only use it to speed up removing/installing the lugs; any electric drill would work. I initially break them and fully tighten them with the torque wrench.)
I'd expect you could get tires for around $1000-1200 for the set. Add probably another $300-400 for TPMS, mounting, balancing.
Biggest expense is obviously going to be wheels. Can likely get something decent in the 1k range, but can basically spend as much as you want.
So yeah, I'd say your estimate in the $3500 range is pretty good.
All-Season run-flats are just gonna be mediocre at everything. They'll absolutely get the job done, but you probably won't enjoy them all that much. All-seasons in general are ok at everything, not great at anything. Run-flats offer some convenience at the expense of ride quality (in my opinion).
I split the difference. My summer tires are not run-flats. When the weather is decent and the potholes aren't running the show, I'll deal with a quick repair or a tow. In the winter I'm running run-flats just because I don't want to be fucking around in the cold. Also, I'm in MN. Potholes can be a real issue in the winter and I'm just more likely to sustain tire damage in the winter.
Function: Daytime Running Lights
Modes: On/Off, "fade on" and "fade off" effect using remote or key when unlocking or locking car.
Color: 6000K (other models have every color)
Brand: Csslyzl
Pros: Looks great
Cons: None that I can really think of... they're affordable and make the car look 10 years newer.

I almost made it home even! LOL. Clutch blew 20 miles from the dealership....On the bright side, I am getting a new clutch put in for free...

This thing. Plugs into USB for power, AUX for audio, connects to your phone via Bluetooth and is the only dongle I've seen or heard of that supports steering wheel controls and can supposedly show track names and stuff on the display.
Or you can get something similar for like $10 like I did that doesn't support steering wheel controls or track display and just use your phone to control.
I've liked the results with the Sylvania headlight refinishing kit.

If you've already done all the sanding, just use the finest grit they supply in the kit. The clearcoat/UV protectant step is what makes the biggest difference.
Is this good? charger
You can try this, it worked for my. fast charger
Congrats on the brave move. I ditched the run flats on my wife's Q7 but also did invest in a tire repair kit. Might be a good idea for you as well..
10 amp fuse. Direct connected and 3m tape mounted under the trunk panel.
Dude, if you can afford an M-car, a BMW centric code reader is a simple purchase. This the one I use.
Don't pay dealers money to find out your gas cap is not closed all the way!
I recently bought a 98 328i convertible. Its been great. I would buy the nicest one you can find because even small items can be expensive. I paid $40 for 2 tiny plastic parts. More typical parts like filters and brakes seem reasonable. If you want a manual I would not do a conversion. Manuals are out there just a bit harder to find clean and they don't cost any more so doing a conversion is kind of a waste of money.
The one you posted looks very nice. I looked at a few cheep ones (under$2k) and they were total junk. I paid $3200 for mine and it has a few problems. I think the valve cover is leaking and the air bag light goes on and off.
I also got this book. Its actually enjoyable to read. http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/101-performance-projects-for-your-bmw-3-series-1982-2000-wayne-r-dempsey/1102559089
Black grille, wing, diffuser, m mirror caps (G8X style)
Here's a cheap but good grille I got for my 330i,
At OP, this is what I bought.
OSRAM 66140ULT-HCB Xenon... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LQ14228?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It’s a long lasting HID bulb from Osram. Very good brand. Don’t buy cheap made in China junk from Amazon or eBay because they won’t last you a couple of years.
It's not a problem. I do protect my seats with towels or a travel hammock seat cover that stops my dogs from climbing toward the front.
The Analan 2.0 brush is perfect for getting dog hair out of the carpet easily. https://www.amazon.com/ANALAN-Remover-Couch-Detailing-Fabric/dp/B08FH9GVW2
I can go from messy beach trip to no evidence two wet, sandy corgis were ever in my car in an hour.
I have this one: URPOWER Dog Seat Cover Car Seat: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09PGZ9K3S
It was cheap compared to some others out there but it does the job, and the large size fits the back of my X5 perfectly.
Not too expensive, but I like the M performance style tyre valve caps like these
Subtle but they get many compliments.
I have yet to see a car without quirks, including Japanese brands. FYI, the odometer issue on the 80s BMWs generally comes up quite far along in life. My '85 e30 first experienced it at about 250k miles. And toyotas have plenty of issues. Here's an example http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/car-parts-and-accessories/engine-sludge/index.htm
This is not really what you are after, but 2013s are still subject to the Takata air bag recall.
I found this for a 5-Series, but it might work here. It could be a button that looks like odometer reset button on the gauge cluster.
No problem. My car has comfort access so between the FOB and the cars battery, I was never sure what was up, for over a year.
Drop in a new 90AH pack. Everything's fine now.
I put a 5 amp battery tender under trunk floor panel to keep it happy.

you can fix this,
buy a kit, highly recommend this. follow their directions off youtube,
Polish it twice, wax it once, you'll be fine.

I also have a black sapphire metallic bmw and this wash makes it look and feel like glass, I use a mit and 2 buckets, 1 with just water to rinse the mitt and the second water/soap to load the mit
I have DiffCar's Floor mats, it feels good and durable: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B3DK4QG3?ref=myi\_title\_dp. Got them from an promo event and it only costed me $20. You can email the product assisstant [email protected] to see if they still are still looking for testers for their floor mats. They will give the floor mats to you for free if they're running the event.
try this
FWIW You could just check at 12 o'clock and call it a day but where is the fun in that? and also,,, this will also give you an idea of if your alignment or tire pressure is off.
I don't know the exact procedure but you'll at the least need a cam timing tool kit like this to get those timed properly.
I bought this yesterday - doesn't need Bluetooth, an app, subscription etc... Tells me I have a misfire, let's see. If the shop agreed on Wednesday. Dead easy to use though Autel Autolink AL319 OBD II/EOBD... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007XE8C74?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I love these for my plate. They’re rubbery so they’re flexible and mitigate any potential rattling, and are very subdued look!
And congrats on the car! I just bought nearly the exact same one in March! Same wheels, and mines just that Dark Graphite Metallic instead of black. Thought it was mine when I was scrolling 😂
Not if they are etched like that.. Can try Meguiar's A3714 Compound Water Spot Remover and hand buffing and a hand pad like the ones in the link below but if it is etched on their hard than he will need to buff it.. Reason this happened in this first place because he has not paint protection of any kind on his paint..
THIS - since COVID and dramatically reduced excursions, I've wired my E39 with a charging plug direct at the battery for my Noco Genius 10 and set a calendar reminder for every 3 months to charge it over the weekend.
Also I have an extra OralB toothbrush charger that I use for my key as well.
All of this typically coincides with Water & Air filter weekend
You need a full set of Euro sockets.
I use this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XD0Z6O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
