so basically he's saying: fuck right and wrong, as long as I'm having fun it's ok.
And Hannibal's speech about the only way to be fully aware of another person is to love them is an allusion to Viktor Frankl, psychiatrist, neurologist, and author of Man's Search for Meaning where the quote is from:
"Love is the only way to grasp another human being in the innermost core of his personality. No one can become fully aware of the very essence of another human being unless he loves him. By his love he is enabled to see the essential traits and features in the beloved person; and even more, he sees that which is potential in him, which is not yet actualized but yet ought to be actualized. Furthermore, by his love, the loving person enables the beloved person to actualize these potentialities. By making him aware of what he can be and of what he should become, he makes these potentialities come true.”

A little context. Hannibal is filmed in Toronto obviously, and the food stylist is from here. She consulted with the George Brown chefs school to create this multi-course dinner. I've labelled the courses with what we had.

> But everything he's said after it got picked back up was very indicative that it would infact NOT have been picked up. Every interview is him talking about how happy he would have been S2 finale, or happy he is they got picked up, as if it WAS the only option.
...
> He seems to imply that if NBC cancelled it would be gone. There's an article on the front page where he touches on this, and I believe he does in the AV walkthru as well.
...
> then once it got picked up and the massive sigh of relief happened, he never touched the subject again.
Uh, no.
"IGN: Fans were again worried this year, 'Is Hannibal gonna get renewed?,' and of course it did get renewed, and earlier than last season. At the end of Season 1, I know you'd said that if NBC hadn't renewed it, you felt pretty confident it could've survived somewhere else. Is that still the feeling, as far as where the show is?
Fuller: Oh yeah, we had two very viable backup plans that were champing at the bit, should NBC cancel the show. And, fortunately NBC didn't, and I'm glad! I'm glad we're still on NBC, because they have been fantastic partners for the show, and as you can see, they've really given us the creative freedom to tell the story that we wanted to tell, and they've also given us a very wide berth in terms of standards and practices.
IGN: Yes, they have!
Fuller: The other options were cable-y, so that wouldn't have been an issue, but it is nice to continue that relationship with NBC because it's been a very positive, creative one."
from the May 23rd IGN post-Mizumono interview
I think he doesn't talk about it a lot because it's a bit rude, and it's also tempting fate. You don't talk about the other girls (or dudes) you've got lined up next while you're still with your current SO.
Aw, damn. That's awesome!
If you have Netflix and would like to access another country's streaming content, here's a quick how-to.
In Chrome you can add an extension called Hola (others as well, but don't know names) that lets you change which country you access a site through. Add the extension, sign in Netflix, change local to Denmark and refresh, search for Hannibal and enjoy!
Very cool, thanks for sharing!
**edit: Also, http://www.netflixaroundtheworld.com/ lets you search all streaming everywhere. It doesn't find Hannibal in a search yet, but it is up in Denmark so...
> IGN: So rest in peace Abigail, basically?
Fuller: [Laughs] Right!
"Fuller: Oh, yeah, yeah. She is absolutely there, in the physical, sitting next to him. It’s not a dream."
Show creator says that they are really physically on the plane.
There is a digital copy on gumroad: https://gumroad.com/l/tbulx
It might be pretty tough to find a seller... I mean, those who were interested enough to fund the kickstarter are probably fans of the show so why would they want to sell it now...?
There is a new Hannibal fanthology on kickstarter right now. The Radiance Anthology. Maybe give that one a shot? But... you probably already know this...
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck with your search!
Love the cookbook.

so far I've made the blood pudding, the bloodorange salad, the 'snails', the sweetbreads, and the heart-tartar. Everything turned out amazing
no hope of falling down by Fahye
Summary: A circus should be a series of miracles, barely scraped into existence. Will Graham is the celebrated aerialist of Cirque Dalmau; Hannibal Lecter is a new arrival with dangerous hands and more than a few secrets.
I love this one.
Like /u/utsuriga said, it's mostly small dialect cuts. Three that I can recall off the top of my head:
In Oeuf, Hannibal reveals that he had called Will to invite him to the dinner with Abigail, but Will wasn't answering his phone. It was supposed to be him, Will, and Abigail, not him, Alana, and Abigail.
This one's a little foggy because I'm looking through the script and I can only find half of it. Might have heard the rest from an interview. The part that's definitely in the script: Hannibal, when preparing Cassie Boyle's lungs, says, "Pre-smoked" to himself. This is alluding to the part I can't find, in which she blows smoke in his face.
In Fromage, Will dabs blood from Hannibal's forehead after the fight with Tobias. ~~This is definitely important.~~
Edit: If you go through the hannibal script tag on Tumblr, a few people have posted examples. This dialogue between Abigail and her father is one of my favorites. I remember when these were first released, there were lots posted, but I can't seem to find them...
Technically, this is it TypicalHer, but to be honest I don't actually post on it much. I never really got into the habit of keeping up with a tumblr. I actually have several specific fandom-related tumblrs that I keep bookmarked and read that way.
How about you?
The forl/knife vector isn't super noticeable, but want to credit the source anyway <a href='https://www.freepik.com/free-vector/black-restaurant-logos_715884.htm'>Designed by Freepik</a> hope that works
>it seems like the previous episode only existed to tip the scales and show that Lecter could still get the upper hand on Jack after the beatdown by conveniently having Jack ignorantly not look under the table.
Hannibal immediately got his ass handed to him. Turns out multiple trained officers with guns can make a pretty good impact. Thereafter, it was all but shouted implicitly, then explicitly discussed, that Hannibal would be dead in sixty seconds if Mason didn't have to be theatrical.
>But Lecter being cut free is the plot twist that irritated me the most.
What was problematic about it? Margot owes Lecter hugely for crippling Mason, which is revenge for Mason's torture of her and a preemptive measure that probably saved her life. Alana loathes Hannibal, but it's hardly crazy that she'd take "Hannibal free and Will alive" over "Hannibal dead, Will dead, Mason victorious, god knows what happens to Margot." And like Lucifer, he's too proud not to keep a direct promise. Certainly so when he has everything to gain and nothing to lose by keeping it, plus everything to owe to the person who gave him the chance. Who is also a courteous, intelligent person with whom he shares a history.
And as others have pointed out, a large point of this storyline was to adapt Hannibal the book/film. So there's precedent to consider.
Was that taken down? I just signed up for that site to look it up but the paper in question isn't there. The lady that's supposed to have published it has a bunch of other stuff on Hannibal, though, so I don't think it's fake.
Edit: nevermind, found it. Doesn't show up in regular search for some reason, I guess. https://www.academia.edu/1670016/_Charismatic_Cannibal_Doctor_The_Erotic_Pull_of_Hannibal_Lecter_
> Of course, the show SHOULD get it's full 7 seasons, I know that because I enjoy it so much, it wont :(
Also:
"IGN: As far as the long-term of the show, I've spoken to you in the past about your broader ideas for seven seasons, and where they might be as far as each of the books are concerned. Is that still in place in your mind, as the ideal?
Fuller: Well, as we've gotten further into this series, I've collapsed a couple of seasons in my mind now. As in, 'I don't think we would be able to sustain the 13 episodes for that arc that I thought we would have' and 'perhaps it's better to collapse this season and this season into one.' So, I'm really thinking a six-season arc, and that really keeps us from treading water."
In a recent interview he said that the plane was a physical thing, not fantasy.
The direct link wouldn't work for me in the US either, the NBC site just flat out won't load the video. The OP link only worked once I allowed some scripts.
Maybe try an extension for Chrome call Hola that lets you change the region from which you access a given site? Here's a how-to from imgur explaining it for Netflix. Hope that helps!
> NBC: "Oh, outside of the US? We don't care about you!"
"Except the Danes. We'll give you guys the show on Netflix before everyone else."
Um, I don't think the voice changed. The placement of where the sound was coming from changed and sounded different because of that.
Though when Alana was in the corridor we hear both Will and Hannibal's voices talking about how she was afraid the last time she saw him/them.
Edit: here
I've really been enjoying ColoredInk's stuff lately

And avegetariancannibal on Tumblr is working on a self-aware S1 fic that I hope is finished. She's great for short, sometimes very crack-y, fics. http://avegetariancannibal.tumblr.com/tagged/becoming-aware
There are services that guarantee that the geo-unblocking will work with certain websites. For example I don't use Netflix, but I love iPlayer and lately they are almost as aggressively anti-VPN as Netflix. Now I use Torguard (mainly because with the recurring 50% off code that makes them one of the cheapest VPNs out there) and while the VPN on its own doesn't work, they guarantee that iPlayer will be accessible if you use their proxies created for this. And so far it has worked very well for me, always. So my tip would be to pick a few promising VPN providers and then write their tech support and ask if they are able to somehow guarantee Netflix functionality.
Also private socks5 proxies should most certainly work, imho. And maybe look into Hola VPN (not just the chrome plugin, but really the VPN) - as far as I know they don't use rented servers as most VPN providers do, but regular private computers participating in the program, which would make it much harder for Netflix to block them. And you can either choose to pay a monthly fee like with other providers, or participate in the program yourself and "pay" through providing traffic for others :)
Check out Moreflicks, it will let you search for content and will tell you if a show or movie is available on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, VUDU, Crackle, ect as well as what region. FYI, Hannibal is also available in Norway and Sweden regions.
Also, if you want to watch different regions of Netflix on your television via a console or on a tablet you can use Unlocator. It requires signing up for a free account and some alterations to your DNS settings, but in my opinion it's very much worth it!
4 minute fight scene with Jack Crawford. It's probably all blood, but it does look kinda like a bottle of red wine may have been broken on him.
This thread links to some photos explaining it.
Starting here on #17, Hannibal biting Jack's stabbed hand in the fight, the shirt's still kinda clean. It gets bloodier over the next few pictures.
They discussed this and sort of came up with a chart on one of the A Matter of Taste Podcasts (can't remember which one but I think early season 2). They're quite good at getting into rambling off-topic discussions that are still interesting to listen to.
It's a free app, similar to Whatsapp, but you don't have to share your number and it has more features, especially for bigger groups. It's also available for computers and tablets; https://telegram.org
Preorders from Threezero are closed AFAIK, but you can order one from Amazon, due for release in November. Warning: they're a bit pricier than the Funko Pops...
NordVPN is great, it works with Netflix and is really cheap compared to other VPNs. You can check and just try yourself, since I saw they currently have a deal on r/vpncoupons. Also, 30 days refund thing gives a guarantee you will not lose your money if anything is wrong
Free VPNs are often pretty risky. They usually make their money either by embedding malware or using third-party trackers to collect and sell your data. And free VPNs like Hola will basically sell off your computer's processing power to its paying users. There have been several instances in which free VPNs have had massive security breaches. I remember when Hola got hacked and p much all the devices that used it were compromised. Some of those were apparently used for criminal activity so yikes.
It's also p hard to find a free VPN that's able to bypass Netflix's geoblock these days.
I would buy a Nord or ExpressVPN subscription. It can be a bit pricey, but you could try going in on it with a couple friends and sharing the account.

It looks old and fancy but I think it's just fancy :) Or the method is old and what he's using is fancy.
Agreed! I believe it definitely scares Hannibal to a degree, the last person who he remotely cared about to the same degree >!would have been his sister mischa (who its heavily implied he ate), that's partially why in S2, I believe it's so easy for Bedelia to put Hannibal against will, and convince him to try and eat Will. its a lot a story involving Maurice Sendack, illustrator and author of "where the wild things are" and how when he responded to a child's fan mail with a drawing of his own, the kid "loved the care so much he ate it."!< http://www.openculture.com/2015/09/maurice-sendak-sent-beautifully-illustrated-letters-to-fans-so-beautiful-a-kid-ate-one.html
It's a running theme throughout the show that sometimes you can love something so deeply, you feel the need to consume it. >!This story is also similar to Francis Dolarhyde eating the Great Red Dragon painting s3!<
Edit: so sorry if the spoiler tags arent working! I'm on mobile and I'm new to reddit, please inform me if they're not showing up!
Signed in with my US Prime and changed region to UK, the series is free there with Prime, just need a VPN. I have NordVPN and my scheme is to cancel it and Prime within the month free trial (both have) once I've binged the whole show (Hannibal virgin here).
Also, Prime UK has Charlie Countryman and The Door free as well for your Mads viewing pleasure. Just a drag it's the dubbed German version, I'd love to hear the original with Mads' voice, apparently it's included on the dvd.
Justwatch is a great site for questions like this. Netflix still has all 3 seasons in the UK (just checked to confirm) - you can select other regions on the site. It’ll also tell you if / where you can buy episodes if they can’t be streamed:
Not exactly serial killer, but the essay 'Of Cannibals' by Montaigne offers a fresh perspective. One of my favourite Montaigne essays.
Can be fount here: (ctrl+F for 'cannibal')
Haha, I am not a native English speaker either (Czech - born, raised and proud :D) so I feel your pain, in fact perhaps I sometimes write in a slightly confusing way? Anyway I'll be happy to help you with the issue, either here or through private messages if you want :)
But if I were to give you just one tip, I think that Hola VPN might be a good fit for you and your situation.
> What bugs me is I want to see dark Will
Oh, yes yes yes! Did you by chance ever read Reapersun's post-S3 comic (Wayfinding) that delved into their adventures? It's really good, and addresses some things I'd like to have seen from dark! Will. (note: it's NSFW)

If I condensed this, and aimed it specifically at Hannibal Lecter, would this be the sort of writing your looking for?
Unfortunately, the textbook did not show the image of the inkblot. Here is the paragraph that followed
> The extremely violent content of this response was not common for this particular blot or for any other blot in the series. Although no responsible examiner would base con- clusions on a single instance, such content was consistent with other data from this subject, who was diagnosed as an antisocial personality with strong hostility.
It was referenced to Exner's work and the textbook that I'm using is Abnormal Psychology, 17th Edition by Butcher and Hooley
As another Canadian, I gift you this link.(I just finished a rewatch myself, so I understand wanting to have it for future).

There's indeed a lively therapist debate over at the sub where I originally saw this. Several people are understandably appalled, while others are talking about Intensive Short Term Dynamic Therapy I didn't weigh in myself because all I could really think was that the post makes their therapist sound like Hannibal Lecter, which wouldn't have added to the discussion.
I could link the post, but I don't know if it's allowed? Or I could PM it to you? OP actually updated to say they decided to stay with their therapist. 🤔
You can use it in India. You have to sign up and login using a VPN. After that, you can use it just like SoundCloud. Download TunnelBear VPN, this is the Spotify apk. Log in using fb. Works very well.
From Amazon. The normal Will Graham Pop and the Wendigo Pop have been "vaulted", or are no longer in production by the Funko company, so are now considered rare and may be harder to find or just be more expensive than the usual figures. Honestly, your best bet on getting a non-masked Will Funko at its current relative value (somewhere from $15-$30) is through constantly perusing Ebay.
There's this but it doesn't have the title or anything else on it - https://www.amazon.com/14x18-inch-Hannibal-Poster-FGS6-629/dp/B00WFEAHCK/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1476972771&sr=8-16&keywords=Hannibal+poster
Or you could get a tin sign - https://www.amazon.com/Poster-TVS02008-inches-Artwork-Ham/dp/B01IBNJASK/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1476972830&sr=8-14&keywords=Hannibal+tin+sign
Just noticed this book to be released soon (Amazon US).
Anyone have any more information on the quality of essays included? I only saw a call for papers last year.

It's so good, worth every penny. Every actor does a write up too. It's wonderful piece of show memorabilia. I do wish it was hardcover and had a black dust jacket. Mine's gotten pretty beat up already.
I can swear to the awsomeness of this knife. This thing is wicked. I have owned it for a long time and INSTANTLY recognized it!!!
The Hannibal movie has a similar tone. Also Manhunter has a very similar take on Will, but different.
You probably want to watch Hannibal rising even though it sucks, but they will reference it a lot next week it seems.
Also, according to the "Art of" book they used this book a lot.
