Got the jump on two guys hiding behind a wall by climbing a connecting wall with lightfoot and getting directly above them. Even after killing the first one with a shell from my Romero Hatchet, the second one couldn’t figure out where I was before I dropped and hatcheted him. They heard my footsteps approaching and were ready with a Calvary Sabre but had no clue I was above them
Got a nice clip https://medal.tv/clips/37984722/km1337fKgoyaG
This is a pretty fantastic Weekend at Bernie's reference. (I linked amazon because IMDB has a stupid image).
This is great!
Yup, good eye. I totally missed that.

I went back to my original recording, so here's a better image: https://cubeupload.com/im/varkas00/the3rdman.png

So crazy that he had the exact same hunter and weapon configuration.
Impressive you were able to do this with Paint. You should try Pixlr, it’s a great photoshop app with most essential effects being free. I use it all the time, as photoshop can be annoying as hell.
Interesting. I hadn't thought of that, but then again I don't know of any modern monitors that are Interlaced, either (though I haven't really checked)
https://www.amazon.com/LG-34GN850-B-Inch-UltraGear-Compatibility/dp/B086XLLG28
This is the monitor I use
Tried to disagree this but... yeah this guy’s definitely right. I’ve used a couple of “Gaming” headphones from the company also sells mouse and keyboard, they are all not as good as what I’m using.
My recommendation/current headphones : Audio Technica M50X
It’s made for a monitoring music purpose tho I see A lot of streamers(Gamers) use these.
I think I've found what you're talking about. HyperX Cloud II, right? This is defiantly in the budget. Do I need to do anything with software, or if I buy these, can I just plug and play?
VPN! That's what finally fixed this for me. I loaded into a few, had this error every time within the first few minutes. I downloaded a VPN someone on the Discord recommended (not at home but I'm pretty sure it's WindScribe?). I've played multiple games with the VPN turned on and not a single 0x30001 error. I'm sure other VPNs would work just as well.
Lots of people are getting this, they're aware of it and working on a fix. I have the issue as well, but using a VPN (I recommend ProtonVPN because of the 7 day free trial) completely fixes the issue as a temporary workaround.
I'm planning on hopping free VPN trials until it has been fixed and, besides the occasional lagspikes, have been enjoying it thoroughly.
I moved houses and got new internet and haven’t had this issue since. Same PC. Was definitely a network issue.
try: - Googling for settings to change on your router - Googling for network settings to change on your pc - Buy a different router - Switch internet companies
I’m sure there are other options to try before spending more money but you’ll have to google to find them.
I spent 2 years using Betternet VPN’s 500MB/day to play Dark Souls 3 and Hunt: Showdown because it was the only way I can play.
Sorry if I didn’t provide much help but I figure it’s an old post and I was in the same boat so that’s the only direction I can give you.
I use this Viewsonic monitor and it's a beast: https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-XG270QG-Enhancements-Advanced-Ergonomics/dp/B07VP9GS1Q
G-Sync (a must), 144hz (165 oc), IPS, 1ms response, 2k. Had it for years and not a single complaint across tons of games.
They're bracers over gloves. The gloves are pretty normal thin leather driving ones I think. I'm probably going to make a customer pair of the bracers. This is the closest thing I could find online. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09ZQFGSJH/ref=ox\_sc\_saved\_image\_7?smid=A3GF6FMMW74S7O&psc=1
Yep I also agree, 2K monitor is the sweet spot.
Used to have a 27 inch 165hz and recently upgraded to a 32 inch 175hz.
Its expensive (I paid £499 a good few months back) but by far the best monitor ive ever owned.
You dont need to spend a fortune of course and I say dont go any larger than 32 inch.
Let us know what you are looking at 👍
I use a Sennheiser (now Epos) GSP 370. When playing Hunt with my brother, I regularly hear and call out sounds that he doesn't hear even if he's standing right next to me.
The GSP 370 is "semi-closed" (which I didn't realize was a thing), and has a 100 hour battery life, as well as really good range on the bluetooth receiver (I can walk through 2 other rooms and into the garage and still carry on a conversation).
They're also 7.1 surround sound, and the software suite has some rather good options for improving the clarity of incoming sound, as well as adjusting your outgoing sound in a few different ways that can improve others' ability to understand you clearly. (And without a bunch of garbage bloatware.)
https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-GSP-370-Low-Latency-Noise-Cancelling/dp/B07YQFJ2DR
$140 is a pretty decent price on them, they used to be $250 and go on sale for $200. And then lately they've been in the $160-180 range. $140 here is the lowest I've seen them.
I have no clue. My wife got it 2/3 years ago on Amazon so we could game next to each other. It’s two desks as one piece with the return in the middle. Super cool for us, but probably cheap furniture.
I personally use [HyperX Cloud 2's] I love them because I can pretty much tell you the exact pinpoint direction a sound comes from in the game, they are comfortable headphones as well.
On the cord itself, there's a button for you to Turn ON or Off 7.1 surround sound.
I'm sure you can get a cheaper gaming headset and use that too, but make sure it lets you turn off 7.1 surround sound.
Some streamers use such as Psychoghost uses Sennheiser headphones. Other streamers use AudioTechnicas etc. I know RachtaZ uses hyperX cloud 2's as well.
I suggest using a nice set of headphones.
Personally, I use the Sony Wh-1000XM3s. They're a few generations old, but are a great set of headphones in general and are on my person almost anytime I walk out of the house. Then I use an Amazon mic.
Ok look, this is a shit chineese mouse that shouldn't be good; but I fucking love this thing so I'll shill for it.
Reasons I like it: I can put my whole number bar on the mouse, so swapping weapons/tools in FPS games is very quick and can be done without affecting your vision or movement. I think it's way better than using scroll wheel, and while it looks like too much at first, you get used to it very quickly. Esp. with how the buttons are tilted, so it's really easy to know from tactile feel which number you are hitting.
Second, it has all the main features, other than unlocking the scroll wheel, which is only useful for very specific games and most mice don't have that anyway. Easily adjustable sensitivity, a quick fire key, fully programmable buttons, adjustable weight, wireless, etc.
Third, as another guy with large hands, the ergonomics are great. The mouse is big with ring/pinky slots, and one of my biggest must-haves; a thumb shelf... Which for some reason a ton of mice just don't have, and I don't understand why.
Last, it's half the price of other mice on the market or less. I've used logitech, razer, corsair, steelseries... all the other mice on the market. I got this thing back when I was playing WoW and just wanted a cheap MMO mouse, but I found I loved being able to swap weapons/tools without taking my fingers of WASD or using the less-reliable scroll wheel.
Spending $100+ on a mouse just doesn't make sense anymore, because the technology really isn't that complicated. I've had one of these for years; and literally bought a second just in case mine breaks and it drops off the market for whatever reason in the future. I don't want any other mouse.
I didn't notice much difference, but I have only ran it with the DAC in this pc, and in my old one I had an old sound card, which could have been equivalent to a new usb one for all I know. I didn't do any research into it, it was just the one recommend to me
In fact the modern equivalent is £60

The VPN really seem to help. I got a mate from Scottland, having insane issues. We thought it's his provider. Now I got the same issues, but I'm in Germany. He tried a VPN and it solved the problem. Will try on my own.
Maybe Hunt is sponsored by NordVPN
I get this as well. It started for me in January and more often than not it happens now, preventing my ability to play.
A workaround I found is to use a VPN. Error 100% goes away. I use NordVPN
While I can’t say for certain, I suspect it’s related to my ISP blocking some server IPs
You are either young, have never worked for any business of value, or the son robber baron that believes in strangling the worker to fix any thing you deem an inconvenience. Whatever it is, your world view isn't grounded from experience.
I suggest reading some books like Blood, Sweat, and Pixels or Press Reset.
Yeah the stock AMD coolers work but definitely run hot.
Even a little cheapo guy like this can drop temps 20+ degrees compared to the stock amd one. Worth keeping in mind if it keeps being an issue.
>I saw that bundle but think I stick with the $30 since I have a feeling the mic on the bundle will be cheap and break on me ha
>
>I'm not bothered by noise much so I should be okay with the shp9500s.
Good call on the quality of the mic, the $30 is better quality and includes the mentioned splitter (Good quality BoomPro).
For the interface you definitly need the spliiter. It would work exactly as you describe using the input and output of the interface.
For your computer you would also need this splitter to connect to the stereo output (green jack) and microphone input (pink jack) on the back of your motherboard. Regarding connecting to the front computer case jack it will depend if your case has a combined 3.5mm jack or a separate input/output audio jack. You will need the splitter if it's the latter.
Exactly, the mic adapter integrates a mic and replaces the default headphone cable. There's actually a SHP9500 + mic adapter bundle you can get from Amazon (Link). If you intend to connect the headset to the Scarlett Focusrite you will need a 4-pole 3.5mm to 2 x 3-pole 3.5mm connectors (Amazon Link), also a 1/4 inch to 3.5mm adapter that I think the Scarlett Solo and 2i2 uses for microphone input. You can also connect that setup directly to your motherboard these headphones don't really require an amplifier.
Do keep in mind the SHP9500 are very open headphones that will let a lot of ambient sound in (and also out), if you have a noisy family or a noisy GPU you could also look to the MH752. Those also include an USB audio interface that you connect the headphones to. I actually use that audio interface with all my headsets lol.

Check it out, not only does this picture clearly show the third guy on his approach. It even shows the dead Tier 3 and the white shirt that is about to eat a mouthful of pellets, everyone accounted for.
When I rewatch it, I am able to see the guy approaching as well. It's hard, but he's there.
Seconding GIMP, it's popular so there's a lot of resources out there to help you learn. Here's a link to their download page if you want to check it out.
Hats you can download online ready-to-use (e.g. png files with transparent backgrounds), or you can take a screencap from in-game/elsewhere and then use a trace or path tool in your image editor to outline just the hat & copy it.
I have like 4 absolutely hilarious clips of me point blank on a guy getting a hit marker but no kill, then immediately dying. Idk if I just suck with shotguns, or if it really is some insane pellet spread luck, but either way it is the sole reason I don't use shotguns often and I dislike camping.
Or I'm just good at shooters? You don't have to sit in a corner or snipe to have a high kd.
Framerate issues are not only affecting a minority of players in this game. Its one of the most complained topics on the forums and on steam reviews (right beside the weapon balance and playercount in game).Just check for yourself:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/594650/Hunt_Showdown/#app_reviews_hash
Either you are blind or just pure ignorant on this one.
I personlly was ok before the patch, because there the game never droped under 50 frames for me, now it drops to 40 in many areas.
But as said the main problems for me are not framerate issues, but rather:
If those things would be fixed then i would still play, no matter if 50 or 40 fps.
I think you're strugling with finding these, because you search for open-back ones - which is totally fine. However these are a little bit less targeted for regular consumers unlike closed-back are, thefore you can't really find stuff like this.
In my opinion you could just get an nice pair of open-back headphones and a DAC/AMP on usb. It's something like external sound card (kinda), but often better and it looks like this: FiiO E10K USB DAC and Headphone Amplifier
But since you want to use these on smartfone you could take headphones with low impedance 16-32 ohms, because if you use too powerful headphones without amplifer, then you might damage them, or they will be really quiet.
You will need dac/amp or better external sound card anyway, so i would just focus on that and buy headhpnes separately. The good news is that, you can also buy amp/dac for smartfones, so if you buy something with high impedance like this: beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250 ohm you should be able to use them.
>Does that headphone amplifier work with USB? I see a micro USB slotwould that just plug into my computer with the right cable or is that slot just to charge?
Yes it does. It doesn't charge, it's just for power. As far i know most dacs and amps have option to connect to pc via usb. DAC basically means Digital-to-analog converter, so just to be clear you cannot plug into dac/amp a headphones with usb connector, it's mostly for analog (minijack 3,5 mm or 6,3 mm).
>So you're saying most open backs in my price range would need an amplifier to work with my phone (I've read this need is measured by ohms), but how would not having one damage them?
No i didn't meant to say that. There should be pleny of headphones with your price range that doesn't need an AMP (Amplifer) for example: beyerdynamic DT 990 Edition 32 Ohm Over-Ear-Stereo Headphones. Open design, wired, high-end, for tablet and smartphone. As long as their impedance is low like 32 ohms you don't need an AMP. I would love to show some low impedance Sennheiser, but i don't normaly use amazon and i can't find all useful info.
Also im sorry i think i made mistake. You can damage your headphones when you use too much power on low impedance headphones, but the other way they probably be just quiet. You can read about it by yourself: Headphones Ohms Ratings Explained
I just recommend to patiently search for your headphones and google all stuff that you don't know - it's painfull, but worth it.
Dude, that's literally how it works.
"Now, all console players will play together, and PC players will continue to play only with other PC players. If, however, an Xbox, PlayStation®, or Nintendo Switch player and PC player party up together, they will be put into PC matches. This ensures that the console games don’t have PC players in them, but still allows for the console player to play with their PC friend if they opt-in."
https://www.ea.com/games/apex-legends/about/frequently-asked-questions#q9
For real. I can't believe I'm getting downvoted into oblivion because I'm telling people that practicing and focusing on headshots will make them better than just going for body shots... turns out when you practice doing something, it becomes easier. But hey man, fuck putting in effort to become a better player, they'd rather complain about something or call people hackers when they die to me like this.
I like to stay away from "gaming" headsets because I get the feeling you're paying more and getting less in terms of build and sound quality.
Personally, I'd recommend either the ATH-M50X, or the Sony MDR7506. The Sony MDR7506's are built like a tank being full-metal construction with an absurdly long cord. The ATH-M50X's are a little lighter due to being plastic and has a removable cord. Both have great sound quality and both have lasted me literally over 10,000+ hours each (7+ years of daily use each) with basically no issues because they're very well constructed :)
If you need a mic too I usually just go with the cheap 2$ Amazon lapel mics that come in packs of like 6. Sound quality is fine and if you somehow manage to break one you've got 5 more lol.
Download HWmonitor, play a game with it on, and check what the temp is when you're experiencing stutters. https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
Here's three ways to do it.
And if you are, by any chance, still learning Premiere Pro, check out DaVinci Resolve 16, it's easy to learn, powerful and has a really good free version.
People change to it from Premiere, has almost all the same features in some form, but wins by a mile with performance.
Anyway, sorry for the sales pitch, I'm just really satisfied with the free version, changed from Sony Vegas Pro because of stability, couldn't get myself to learn Premiere and found this gem by chance.
Not bad=) I `m regular listen this one Deezer Hunt playlist
Sure, let's use dice calculator (correct me if im wrong)

For 255 faced (possible to spawn 255 in a single location) 40 dices (one for each spawn) for at least 4 spawns to have at least 14 spawns the probability is 0.000019307. The real value is a bit higher because none can have 255, but the probability should not be much higher. Does that make sense?
I'm getting the same error when trying to access their website. Most likely, as OP said, it is an issue on their end with their SSL cert.
edit: after quick mxtoolbox run, this is the error being returned:
A required certificate is not within its validity period when verifying against the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed file.
Their certificate was only valid from 6/9/2017 to 6/9/2018.... lol.

Yeah, I had the same thing, had to do a bit of a strange workaround to get it to save highlights automatically post game but it works a treat, if you have the same problem feel free to give it a go.
The specific problem I had was that highlights were being created under the temporary folder and then once I existed the post game screen the files got deleted.
You can confirm this if you see video files of deaths/kills after a game in the location you have setup in GeForce Overlay > Settings > Highlights > Temporary Files location ie. *C:\GforceExperience\TempHighlights* or whatever.
I setup realtimesync to watch *C:\GforceExperience\TempHighlights\Hunt Showdown* , then when it detected a file was created in there, it automatically ran a batch file to copy the files to another folder for example.
xcopy "C:\GforceExperience\TempHighlights\Hunt Showdown*.*" "C:\GforceExperience\Hunt Showdown\" /Y
I checked out the post you referenced, from the wording it sounds like you CAN run Hunt on 7.1, but it's not optimized. I could be wrong, I don't know too much about audio, but Crytek has really pushed the use of stereo headphones since release. I didn't think much of it until I realized my headset defaults to surround sound, and switching to stereo changed the game completely.
You don't need a fancy pair of Sennheisers or anything, I use these and they're perfectly fine.
Not a great solution, but they sell custom trigger stops for controllers like this one that make it so you don't have to put as much pressure on the trigger.
When I am having those days, I use open back reference monitors.

not cheep and you will need a separate mic, but these are fantastic
I have the Hyper X Cloud II headset connected to a Astro A40 mixamp and it works great for me, the red color one is a bit cheaper at $80 but it is a closed-back headset, I don't make use of the virtual 7.1 because, like mentioned before, the in-game sound in surround sound confuses me completely
Headset is super light but feels great quality wise and very comfy for hours of gaming, detachable mic was the selling point for me :)
It might be a RAM issue I had the same problem before I got a new motherboard/Ryzen2700x and 16g of ram also is your RAM DDR3 or DDR4 ?
I think 8gb would probably be just enough to run hunt no issue if its DDR4 but RAM isn't expensive compared to other parts if you have a DDR4 compatible motherboard I'd buy 16gb of DDR4 this is what I got only £60 for two 8gb sticks with crossthreading enabled huge improvement for the money.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMK16GX4M2B3000C15-Vengeance-Performance-Desktop/dp/B072LX99L9?th=1
Ah ha! I found the Arctis Pro Wireless and Wired. I don't care about wireless, so I'll just go wired. Should I bother with the digital to analogue converter (DAC)? It's another ~$70 USD.
The Sennheiser HD 58X is supposed to be amazing for games like this.
I'm currently using these Bose headphones and they're great.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0117RGD0K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qXBpFbNR0BAC7
I also have these Soundcore's I got on sale and they're just as good as the Bose imo if youre on a budget. Buletooth isn't as great however.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NM3RSRQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_uYBpFbVSJ56RV
Yes, because it a 3.5mm jack for the headphones and mic, so you need a mic port and headphone port. If you're on a console you need a splitter that support mic in and headphone out, not two headphones.
https://www.amazon.com/Antlion-Audio-Attachable-Noise-Cancelling-Playstation/dp/B07YN25KWN/
Bro, check these out. Theyre cheap, highquality audio input and output. I use one on for my xbox. https://www.amazon.com/JBL-T110-Ear-Headphones-Black/dp/B06VWP1NXP/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?keywords=jbl%2Bearbuds&qid=1570845285&sprefix=jbl%2Bea&sr=8-7&th=1&psc=1
So I was in a real tight budget a couple years ago and I bought these in a whim and I was extremely impressed with them.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072DVFCF8/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_ZEHrDbAPAG61C
The surround sound was really impressive and I was able to hear everything just fine.
If you absolutely need the gaming look and integrated mic then get these https://www.amazon.ca/Sennheiser-Acoustic-Gaming-Headset-Black/dp/B00KK8ZLEC/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=sennheiser&qid=1553608589&s=electronics&sr=1-5
But I still strongly suggest getting the hd598 or hd599's. and buying a cheap condensor mic the kind you see twitch streamers use. You can get great ones for 30 bucks and the audio interface is 30 bucks too or get an antlion modmic for 50 to make things easier.
Man, I played the close alpha, and bought it immediately when it was available on Steam EA. Sometimes during Alpha I would keep getting that error, but then sometimes it would run fine for several matches in a then they'd send out an update and it would give me the error all the time again.
Yesterday I hopped in their Discord planning to ask about possible fixes and saw someone saying he used a certain VPN (WindScribe) so I thought I'd give it a shot, since it's free and seems super simple to use.
So far it's worked like a charm. Before that I loaded the game and had this error in both games I tried, barely into the matches. I turned the VPN on and started playing and didn't have a SINGLE issue.
Hopefully they fix the issue so that a VPN isn't required, but in the meantime I'm super glad I'm able to play the game now. The VPN I used is free (I think it's 10 GB a month?) with a $4 a month subscription plan, so if I find I'm burning through it too quick I might sub to it for a while until I play the game less or they fix it.
Anyway, hope the VPN thing helps more people, and I'm just super stoked I can now enjoy the game!
Surprisingly adding a $30 sound card boosted my frame rate considerably. I suppose the CPU was the bottleneck and taking the integrated audio out of the loop alleviated the workload.
Oh and it sounds much much better.

I got these on sale for like $50. They work really well.
Thank you very much for the info! I've only had intel CPUs myself, and I know very little about which AMD ones are good/bad, new/old. Is this the one you have? Also, do AMD motherboards have different sockets like Intel ones do, or will any AMD fit into an AMD board?
I guess we both just thought there was some other contributing issue because the game seemed to perform fine for a bit before just freezing on one frame, over and over
