Holy crap. I don't think I would ever buy through them.
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.digitalriver.com
It sucks, cause they are the official ecommerce retailer for Lenovo. They really should start looking for a better company.
You can determine this yourself by downloading HwINFO and checking the "number of bank groups" [screenshot].
2 bank groups = 1Rx16
4 bank groups = 1Rx8
No problem! Just an FYI, I have the Legion 7 and upgraded with minimal results. I also have a Legion 5 with the bad RAM (worse than yours) I upgraded to Crucial and my Timespy CPU went from ~9000 to ~10300. I don't think you will see the same gains as your stock RAM is better than mine was. IMO if you are going to use it for gaming you will be playing at very high-ultra settings so almost no difference. in the furture when you have to play at medium to low there may be a significant increase. I'd wait to upgrade. "Good" RAM will likely be more readily availble and less expensive at that time.
Quad display*
While I game a good bit, I also need a lot of screen real estate for work. Updating to this from my 2010 (you read that right) custom i5 desktop and I couldn't be happier.
I am using this dock and while it was slightly finicky to set up, it's been doing pretty okay so far. The monitors aren't anything special - 7 year old ASUS 20" all connected via VGA via adapters (2 to DP and 1 HDMI).
Loving it so far!
Cool, I think that's a reasonable approach. If you encounter problems down the road, then you can always get that Intel AX210 to replace the Realtek.
Regarding your question about RAM... have you checked to see if you have 1Rx8 sticks? My L7 came with 1Rx8 sticks and I get ~26.5k in Firestrike in 1600p resolution (30.4k graphics, 27.1k physics, 13.3k combined).
You can check your RAM specs via HWinfo64, which is a free software: https://www.hwinfo.com/. If you have two sticks of 16GB 1Rx8 RAM, then you have "good" RAM, which you can determine by seeing "4 rank groups" vs. "2 rank groups". The "bad" RAM will give you "2 rank groups". Early on, especially after Jerrod's video came out, it was thought that single- vs. dual- rank drovethe difference in performance but after reading some posts here, it seems like single-rank is acceptable if it has 4 rank groups (as opposed to 2 rank groups) and even the number of rank groups has limited negative effect when you're running above 1080p due to the GPU becoming the bottleneck. The native resolution of the L7 screen is 1600p so performance should be fine with 1Rx8 sticks.
This is again a case of "run it first and then spend the $ to upgrade if you determine current performance to be lacking". Give 3dMark Firestrike a go and we can see what results you get.

The trfc timing isnt great, but it overall seems to preform better than the stock ram. Actually it looks like the trfc timings are worse than the stock 16gb ram 😅
If whatever storage solution you're using is putting too much pressure you will continue to have issues.
first of all get a nicer keyboard/screen protector cloth that will last : https://www.amazon.com/Microfiber-Keyboard-Cleaner-Protector-X-Large/dp/B00Y1HFLAM/
There's tons of those.
Then: Carry less in your bag or get a bigger bag. The pressure being put on your chassis would happen with any laptop and it's due to you putting too much load in your bag.
Hey! Thanks for replying, so these power saving tweaks can be done on the g15 as well then right? And the 75 degrees temp is on max settings right? If so then that’s awesome along with the battery life. What surprising is that the legion 5i pro has only 3.5 hrs battery life so the amd one have 3 times it’s battery is mind blowing. Also, so the only reason you chose it was the larger screen? I also liked the 16:10 aspect ratio, but the fact that the g15 had much better colours and a 240hz screen along with a better processor( 6900hx as opposed to the legions 6800h) and a better GPU( 3070ti vs the 3070 for the legion) made me think that overall at the same price, the g15 seemed like a better deal. As for the temps, many reviews said that it’s cooling was better than last years legion 7 so I don’t know how it compares with this years legion 5 pro, what do you think about this? Would you kindly let me know which one seems better out of the two I’m linking below- Legion (extreme right on the page)- https://www.lenovo.com/in/en/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-5-series/Legion-5-Pro-Gen-7-16″-AMD/p/LEN101G0021?orgRef=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.google.co.in%252F&cid=in:sem:c1bsi4&ef_id=Cj0KCQjw0oyYBhDGARIsAMZEuMvTelKf7zTx9zS8PyUckfZrrcsOPOT8L...

HWInfo will show your bank configuration. Run it and look under Summary -> Memory -> either of the memory rows. If the number of bank groups is 4, you have x8; if it's 2, you have x16.
Download and install HWiNFO.
Check "Sensors" only on the splash screen and run.
Once loaded, scroll down and expand the "Battery" section. "Charge Rate" identifies the discharge rate (eg -21.000W). [Screenshot]
And therein lies my next hurdle: CPU temps.
I have Core Temp running in the background to monitor min/max CPU temps.
These past few nights, I've been playing CONTROL and/or Doom Eternal via HDMI output to my 4K TCL TV @ 60 FPS (but running games at 1080p, max settings). After my session ends, I check Core Temp and it will report 83c - 89c as the max temp. I've even seen 100c a few times during my various benchmark runs.
I've repasted my Alienware m15 three times -- twice with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and most recently with ARCTIC MX-4, both of which I still have on-hand. While I have not yet repasted my Legion 5 Pro, I am beginning to think that it would help my thermals.
Thoughts? Are enthusiasts typically repasting their L5Pro's?
For the record, the Alienware with 8th Gen Intel Core i7 would hit 100c if you just looked at wrong. The L5Pro + AMD Ryzen CPU is so much cooler -- literally.
>never hitting 90 degrees and staying on low 80s with balance mode.
CPU @ 90C peak on some specific game?
Could you run a stress benchmark from CPU-z please?
It will make cpu work 100% and you can use HW MONITOR to monitor peak cpu temperature on each cores.
My i5 can hit peak 94--96C on times when i run the benchmark and run a browser at the same time. Really stress the cooling out. I guess it passes the test considering it's an intel i5 not undervolted running at maximum capacity on laptop cooling :P
Legion still has better cooling than most other laptops in and above its price range :')
This was the software in the support page. https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/my/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/legion-series/legion-5-pro-16ach6h/downloads/driver-list/component?name=Power%20Management
and this is the Power Plan Script that was included in my model (Legion 5 Pro-16ACH6H) https://wormhole.app/3D1op#8neyPaKqDrkrf7CTUC18_w
The Script was in a "Drivers" folder in C: when I opened my laptop. After reformatting I just installed all in the Folder and it works fine.
This may fit, compare the laptop dimensions against it. Note that has no padding being very rigid on the inside, so think of it more as an elegant glove:
Couldn't find the stand, but if you are looking for a replacement I usually recommend the Steklo adjustable laptop stand. Lifts the laptop enough the give better airflow and doesn't interrupt my typing.

Hey thanks! I got mine from an asia based online shopping app. In Amazon this stand (link below) is the closest, in terms of form, to mine. However for the laptop vesa holder, you may need to look for it separately.

If you’re in Asia I can send you the link of the actual product
It was available yesterday at Cyberport for 2.300€. You have to check mydealz regularly and also The Lenovo Website. The Lenovo Website had legion 7 available last week.
Use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.webalert
You have to be fast, they are sold out very quickly. The app helps a lot.
You'll want to get a cable rated for 100w for the charger.

Don't get a pad, get a stand, something to keep the laptop suspended from its surroundings.
Cooling pads are a scam, most fans are way too slow for what they do and they simply blow air on the bottom panel, the speed of the air they blow is too low compared to what the internal fans need as intake, they also don't add any space between the pad and the laptop.
You will have way better results by simply putting something under the laptop and letting the native fans suck better, something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Stand-Computer-Adjustable-Aluminum-Compatible/dp/B08JQC7FQ1/ref=sr_1_18?dchild=1&keywords=laptop+stand&qid=1624538756&sr=8-18
I did my dose of testing, didn't save the results but all the cooling pads went straight back to the retailers, the amount of noise they add is simply stupid considering they're not helping much.
I use this stand. I needed something to raise my Legion up a little higher for better viewing angles. It has the added bonus of better air flow.
An HDD upgrade to an SSD wouldn't be a bad idea. However, I'd recommend upgrading your RAM first, if you're on a budget. Dual channel RAM will make a pretty decent performance improvement to Ryzen systems, especially when running Hybrid mode on integrated graphics. Just grab another 8GB stick of DDR4 3200Mhz from Crucial or Amazon.
Interesting. Yeah I can find that brand on Amazon UK but the 2x16gb kit isn’t available on Amazon UK.
So I’ve gone with these, am I losing out much with them not being dual rank (I’m on ryzen 7)?

I have one identical to this repackaged as Amazonbasics, but I had mine hooked up as a desktop replacement with a keyboard and mouse and stuff. If you actually use the laptop keyboard, look up mesh laptop stand and find one that looks sturdy and matches the way you hold your hands so you don’t mess up your wrists that would be ideal. Dropped my 5i’s 1660ti to max 67c under looping stress tests, CPU varies by mode and workload. If you want ideal temps probably stick with balanced mode, the fans will ramp up higher. If you have a nice stand letting it breathe you can leave it in performance mode :-)
I found the mesh lets the bottom fans breathe better than the type with fans that are mostly a solid panel. If you can find one that’s got fans and a mesh surface that would be even better.
Never put hot stuff on a sofa. I use a 3d printed stand to stand it on its side for maximum airflow. Even with it being less taxed, if you insulate it like that heat will build. If you must put it on the couch I suggest getting an Arctic freeze USB fan. This one has been awesome for keeping me cool when I need spot cooling, for pointing at power supplies or wires when I am using my bench power supply with conductors that are warming up. It's just a great way to point air at things. And if you get one without a stand they are excellent with a powerbank in the summer to cool off.
Yes, there are USB Sticks that can encompass a micro-sd and fullsize SD Slot. With usb-A and Usb-C in the Same chassis. A example of a USB SD Adapter: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Vanja-Reader-Adapter-Memory-RS-MMC/dp/B00W02VHM6/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=SD+Adapter&qid=1621586566&sr=8-3
Get the 5 with the 2060 video card from Amazon, comes with 512GB. I did and bumped up the RAM to 64 and got a 1 TB NVME drive for expansion, it's a beast! $1099
Quiet will lower your max cpu wattage, balanced or performance would be the true test and it sounds like it’s cooler!
When I’m benchmarking on performance mode, fans at full speed, i can feel the airflow increase out of the exhaust if i lift the back up off the table, if that makes sense. That’s what led me down the rabbit hole of trying to figure out a way to create more ‘space’ for the fans to pull air from.
AmazonBasics Ventilated... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WRDS8H0?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This is what i use, but it’s not really portable and not great to type on, which limits its usability. I use my laptop like a desktop though so it works great for me. The mesh seems to be open enough that the Legion fans are able to have notably better airflow. My temps in Cinebench R20 in performance mode once the wattage drops down to 75w on CPU are stable around 80c. Even if I run a GPU benchmark (furmark) at the same time a few cores will bump 90 but it’s fine.
This is actually my setup https://www.reddit.com/r/LenovoLegion/comments/kciod1/cant_find_parts_to_build_a_pc_so_next_best_thing/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb
I got this this HyperX from Amazon and it works fine. 32Gb works as well.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084929MWL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I put in 32gb, worked perfect, and then figured out I needed more for the virtualization work I am doing. So if anyone wants 32gb (2x16) that was used for 4 days, they're for sale, lol.
I have this kit coming. Honestly a great price for the speed and capacity.
So Lenovo in their infinite wisdom locks you out from using the XMP / EXPO settings to use the factory overclock timings for RAM. Every stick you put in there will be 4800mhz. I bought the GSkill Ripjaws 5200 CL38 32gb ram kit before reading the fine print.
It's running at 4800mhz, but the nice thing is the CL timing is down to 36, compared to the stock CL 40, so it's definitely faster.
So the best kit is probably the GSkill 32GB 4800 CL34 ram kit. Hopefully the mobo will turn down the CL to 34, which would make it even faster than the 5200 kit I'm running. However I do have the 6900hx model of the 5 pro, but hopefully that doesn't make a difference, should still be the same motherboard.
Do you have some issues with your anker charger? I just bought this one, but sometime in heavy use it's stop charging for a few seconds and start again this one but somme time in heavy use it's stop charging for a few seconds and start again
well at the end i got more ram. Not because of amount, speeds, writes and reads are not the best with stuck ram.
I ended buying this https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B08GSTF5NJ?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image
I think i can gain like from 5-10% performance and if i play on 1080 i will get much more.
Will see i will get the ram in 2 days and will write if it was worth it.
Yeah thats the point of it. If u close ur laptop without one and carry it around, the screen can be pressed against ur keyboard which can scratch the screen over time.
You can get them from amazon, just search for Laptop microfiber cloth and find one with a matching size to ur Legion 15" 16" 17" or what ever u got :)
For example: https://www.amazon.de/LetsSwipeThat-Mikrofasert%C3%BCcher-Schutztuch-Microfasertuch-Reinigungst%C3%BCcher/dp/B073TLFDJC (its in german)
Get 2 of these if you can Samsung 980Pro 2TB NVME SSD and Crucial RAM 32Gb Kit (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MhZ you wont regret it.
Got this one. Works great for me and the vents aren’t blocked since the arms are slim.
Let me enumerate the cons: - More expensive - uses batteries, and they die, and contaminate soil. - you are broadcasting your movements and keyboards to everyone with a minimum of interest on your information. - It can never have lower latency than a simple cable on the cheapest mouse you can get.
PRO: - it is wireless.
Shoutout to Logitech M90 at 8.83 USD (which is really steal since here in AR I an buy it for 700 ARS, roughly 2,2 USD.)

I bought that one, twice. One for me, and one for my wife. She has a 17inch MSI Stealth, I have a Legion 5 Gen7.
Best part about it, for me at least, is that I can tilt my laptop almost vertical, which means it only takes up about 6 inches of desk depth.
That's good to know, thank you. I'm totally okay with doing that as long as it's not my unit being defective in some way.
What kind of temps are you hitting?
Also, I just ordered two of these 16GB sticks. I've been finding my RAM usage floating around 80-90% in some games.
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B087WF59N1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I would say it's a little louder than I would like, but plenty of fans and it's served me well so far on my regular laptops. It's a little flashier than I would prefer, the lights and such are a bit much for me. I only bought it because it was a Prime Day deal last year, so it was decently inexpensive. I would note that the design isn't very conducive to portable ... non-table usage?.. if that makes sense. The base is just a stand ring-like piece, so if its not sitting flat on a table, it's not very stable. It also is a bit thick, so it might create an awkward angle to type on depending on your setup.
Dont bother, just get a stand to prop it up and allow as much room as possible for the intake on the bottom.
Ive been using something like this for a long time now. My i9 11980 never leaves the 60s.

I see, so even placing the laptop over the mesh grill of the cooling pad while turned off might give better air flow to the laptop fans compared to the solid surface of a table for example.
Would you consider this as a cheap crap cooling pad?:

Hello, I would like to know if i can get this Ram for my legion 5 pro 16 ACH6H

USB4.0 should work for what you need. On the Legion 5 Gen 7 (non-Pro), the left side USB-C port that is closest to the front of the laptop is the USB4.0 compatible port. However, that device I linked to only has 2 video outputs, so you wont be getting 3 monitors with that specific unit. Finding "USB4.0" docking stations is a bit of a slog due to how USB-C the connector has been fractured by the various protocols/technologies behind the connector. Searching for "USB4.0 Dock" on Amazon is going to turn up 10 pages of everything BUT USB4.0 docks, as even manufacturers and sellers can't figure out the difference between USB4.0, USB-C, and Thunderbolt.
Thunderbolt 4 is backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 3. Both of them are proprietary Intel technology. AMD is not licensed to provide it in their chipsets.
USB4.0 is backward compatible with USB3.1/3.2 Type C
USB4.0 can SOMETIMES be compatible with Thunderbolt 3, but the circumstances are entirely dependent upon the manufacturer of the computer and the manufacturer of the peripheral, and I wouldn't rely on it unless both the laptop and peripheral manufacturers call it out specificly in their marketing/datasheets.
Under no circumstances is USB4.0/3.0 compatible with Thunderbolt 4.
Question: Why do you want/need 3 displays? Are these just monitors you have lying around that you want to use, or do you have a legitimate business need for them? I only ask because in this day and age, productivity favors large ultrawide displays, and gaming use cases typically don't bother with multi-monitor (Nvidia Surround, or whatever they call it these days) since there are very few games that manage a 16:3 ratio well. Additionally, the laptop built-in display can be used as a 3rd display if left open. Just offering alternatives, I don't pretend to know your personal needs.

Last year's 5 with an RTX 3070 for £1200: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-Legion-15ACH6H-GeForce-Windows/dp/B09B3V4N8H
This year's 5 with the RTX 3060 and 1440P 165 Hz screen: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lenovo-legion-5-nvidia-rtx-3060-16gb-15.6-qhd-ips-165hz-ryzen-5-6600h-gaming-laptop-lt-03a-lv.html
Sweet machine. I have the same exact one with an additional 500gb of storage.
First things I bought were -
1. Addl drive space, unit came with 500 and I added 1TB
2. SlimQ 240w travel charger so I can leave the brick at home
3. 2 Addl 100w charging cables specifically to go with the SlimQ to charge other devices on the road
4. 2layer Adj Height portable laptop stand. Lightweight, folds up and fits nicely into my laptop bag.
I am also looking for RAM but honestly I don't think it would make a noticeable difference at this point. The Samsung RAM in my machine is quad channel 40-39-39-76 and I was looking at the CL36 from G.Skill but its more of a nice to have rather than a must have.
Currently running the machine stock. Wanted to get used to Windows 11 and all the standard software that comes with the machine and see what I like/want to keep. Plus I am slammed with work until the holiday so I will probably wipe it out when it slows down and I have more time to do so.
I have had zero issues with this machine. Windows 11 has been a little clunky but getting better, and learning where all the different power options are between the Lenovo power management, Windows power management, optimus and the Legion Toolkit has been like a treasure hunt but overall its been really solid.
Between the 12700h, 3070ti, DDR5 and the 2560x1600 500nit screen this machine really is amazeballs.
You can buy this, boot up from it and install windows.
Not sure why people can't just give you direct answers.
I mean if you don't want to use converter, and the 65W travel adapter is not an option. You know that this power adapter consists of two parts, right? All you have to do is to replace the cable that goes to socket, this cable is compatible with monitors and computer PSU means it's easy to find, so you just need the EU version of this cable i.e. https://www.amazon.com/CNE40513-European-Computer-Europlug-Approved/dp/B00IPZC26C
I use THESE.
The stick to the bottom of my Legion 5 Pro without interfering with the fans and now I can properly raise my laptop without having to move the book or any other thing when I move my laptop.
I have the option to buy a Legion 5 Gen 6 (non pro 2021 model) with QHD 165Hz RTX 3070 AMD Ryzen 7 5800 16GB RAM from Amazon Spain which will ship it to my country, it will end up charging me around 1260 euros after everything, because spainish taxes are removed at checkout when you ship internationally from spain, also the keyboard layout is spanish QWERTY too, but its not a big problem.
However, the L5 Pro Gen 7 option from the US seems to be better at most things except the GPU, we're comparing the L5 pro 2022 vs the L5 non pro 2021 model here.
So yeah i"ll probably end up with one of these two, or the RYX 3070 Legion 5 Pro 2021 version at walmart or ebay for 1299$

Sorry i forgot to mention, I'm not in spain either but amazon spain ships to my country.
The laptop supposedly has a QHD 165Hz panel, it has a spanish qwerty keyboard layout but its not really a deal breaker
Here it is: (the specs in the title are correct, the description is not really accurate) https://www.amazon.es/Lenovo-Legion-Gen-Ordenador-Operativo/dp/B09Y9K9DX4/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=1ZSJAFPEJYRMO&keywords=legion%2B5&qid=1664887111&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjYwIiwicXNhIjoiMy45MCIsInFzcCI6IjMuMzUifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=legion%2Caps%2C4...
Just bought this from amazon. Will post on performance once I get a chance to test it. Seems small enough with power to spare

Also has 2x 100w chargers for USB-C so you could charge a second laptop or tablet or phone...etc.
Don't go 65w. 100w minimum if you are using a USB-C PD charging device. The PD3.1 spec for 135w (140w) is 28v @ 5 amps but for some crazy reason Lenovo spec'd the Legion PD input for 20v @ 6.75 amps. The good thing is that it can take the next step down of 20v @ 5amps (100w) so any PD3.0 or greater charger will charge at 100w.
Afaik they have a lot of wiggle room in terms of size, you can try getting one which was made for the 16 inch macbook Here's an example: https://www.amazon.com/MOSISO-MacBook-Zippered-Protective-Compatible/dp/B085WTK38Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=1GOGVYMXR6BKL&keywords=folio+case+laptop+16+inch&qid=1664577671&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIxLjUyIiwicXNhIjoiMC4wMCIsInFzcCI6IjAuMDAifQ%3D%3D&...

Been using this one for a little over a month now. It's stupidly loud, bulky, and cheesy looking. But boy howdy does this thing work! Like I was getting somewhere in the 80's on my cpu while playing games and I barely hit mid 60's now. The usb hub works and the RGB mimicks the Legion 7 default RGB. So it's like a rave when I use it. Just have some good headphones when you use it. XD

The 32GB dual rank DDR4 kit. It's a lot cheaper now than when I bought it, though. It was like $105 bucks back then I think. There are other options out there too, but this is a good cost-effective one. It's worked well for me. There are people talking about using it with Legion 5 and Legion 5 Pro in the reviews if you want to read those.
OneDrive, MS Office, Google Drive, Chrome, Brave, Edge, NordVPN, Everything, TreeSize Free, Steam, Xbox, BitWarden, Privacy Badger, UBlock Origin, Scriver, YWriter, Ant Renamer, PowerToys, Bing Wallpapers, Spotify, PureBattery Analytics, Dell PowerManager, What's App and any drawing programs I have like ArtRage.
Sorry for the delay on this - if it's still useful I can give some info on this now. Been playing New world - GPU usage fluctuates somewhere between 70% and 100% - getting CPU @ 88 degrees ish and GPU @ 81ish. This is a bit rough and ready but things seemed to average out at around those values. At times temps went up as high as 90 on the CPU but short lived. I've purchased a Lenovo stand (technically not designed for this 16" Legion), but seeing temp drops of around 8 - 10 degrees. Here's a link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B084BKHMMX.
Fans can be heard but less noticeable with the stand. Hard to quantify really (and super subjective), but they don't really bother me. With headphones or speakers on (which are great quality btw) you don't really notice.
Hope that helps somehow and let me know if you end up pulling the trigger (or if you have already)!
This is a bit more than $30 but it fits the Legion 5 and 5 Pro (2021) perfectly:

I think this is made in China, but this is the only one (so far) for such models.
The outer layer for this feels rubbery, not slippery at all.
The inner layer is just the plastic texture.
It's thick and sturdy, but even with this, the laptop still slides easily into the inner laptop slot of the Active Gaming backpack (this is usually the freebie given for buying a Legion 5 or 5 Pro).
Remember, this is for the 2021 models.
Just check the compatibility in the description.
I've seen one from 2020 models too.

thanks! simple stand from amazon. Works fine for me. Very stable. https://www.amazon.de/dp/B09NKY4JDM/ref=pe_27091401_487027711_TE_SCE_dp_1
thanks for the answer.
Use Windows is not a option to me, it's disgusting and i don't want. Linux is my choice

The distro i will use is openSUSE Tumbleweed, is a really nice rolling release distro so i will be updated.
If the problem i will find is about suspend then it's ok to me, i can live without that
Wifi i don't care too much because i was thinking in get a intel AX210 ( https://www.amazon.es/dp/B0995V2PHP/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_DQ6R06YQNHSF0P0EHNW9_0 )
Avoid the Soundance laptop stand you mentioned - it's not quite deep enough to fit a Legion laptop without some modification.
I had one and switched to this model instead and have been happy with it.
