What's more interesting to me is that with yesterday's update they added a new branch called 'patchd_nodlc', which hopefully means a new patch is on its way. They've been updating their internal builds every week for over 2 months now (just check the previous link), might be wishful thinking but new costumes alone shouldn't require that many updates.
People on steamcommunity were also speculating a few days ago that some new stages were being added because of the much bigger file size, but you'd expect Capcom to hype things up a bit if that was the case so I'm not getting my hopes up in that regard.
Guess we gotta wait for the release date of the PS4 version...
You have to have a yellow icon and beat someone with a yellow icon. The replay system is like championship mode. You start with a gray icon. If you beat someone else with a gray icon, yours turns green. If you beat someone with a green icon, yours turns yellow. If you lose, you start over. Your grade is taken into account also. See these links for more details.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/975212-super-street-fighter-iv/54624233
Just to reiterate what /u/Canarka said. Capcom is well aware of the problem they have with the SF series. In each new iteration of the game, they add more mechanics that build on the mechanics already established in the previous iteration of the game. So special moves and super combos are cool in SF2, let's add parries and super arts in SF3, and add focus attacks and ultras in SF4, etc.
So how do you get new players into this series when they require so much foundation to understand the game, let alone play it without getting destroyed? Capcom sees the $ that are thrown around for LoL and DOTA and want a piece of that pie.
Their first attempt at solving this problem went horribly wrong...SFxT tried to add gems to make it easier for new players (autoblock, etc) but in the end I think they added so much to that game that it hindered new player adoption. Not to mention the ill will that built up with other missteps in that game (DLC).
They have also been tossing around a pay to win model internally.
So what I hope they do (just like /u/Canarka says) is make it easier for new players to get into it. I think there is a lot of possibility in building some fantastic online features. The online stuff that is in SF4 is from 2009 and is pretty bare bones. What they should really do is improve match making, add some way to separate players into tiers. If they can make it so that players with the same ability are playing each other until they are ready to move up to the next ability level, I think that would be awesome. Sort of like levelling up in an MMO.
Here's some "fan mail" they got after this episode. (from the CC Facebook page)
Found the fix
For anyone that got here and needs help like I did the fix for this problem is a missing DLL. You can get it from this website
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dcompiler_43
and it downloads a zip file.
Place the DLL into your ssiv folder withing the steam/commonapps folder or something like that.
I was curious of this as well. I found her move list at least.

But yeah, I dunno about keyboard, but Gief is playable on pad too fa sho. It's a lot of fun to churn the butter on stick though.

There's a video that shows you don't use those screws to open it.
The Razer logo on the front is a button, it opens at the press of a button.
According to the Razer rep you can mod everything in the stick and the warranty will remain valid. The exception is to the PCB, modding or changing the PCB will void the warranty. They also explained that the top plate can be changed. They have different top plates with button layouts (MK9) They also have a top plate that is clear and can be used with your own graphics.

I'm pretty bad, but still trying to improve and would be interested in playing. I'm from Europe (UK), might be an issue.

> blanka ultra 1 on wake up
There is a long visual cue where you can check where you are in relation to Blanka and know which way to block. This also isn't guaranteed on a lot of characters because of their wakeup options.
> Ibuki kunai mix up
>Yang's MK
Yang's MK is character specific on who it crosses up now and does so in less situations. The j.mk, divekick mixup also loses to a lot of reversals.
> If a pro does a mixup with, an overhead, a throw, a crouch kick, or a dp, which one do you know to counter?
Low block intially, stand block the overhead on reaction and late tech to not get dp'd and to tech the throw.
By being situationally aware and trying to understand your opponent's patterns you can counter guessing.
You can also just not let yourself get put into knockdown situations so you can't get mixed up. I mean your opponent earned that mixup, you shouldn't be able to get out for free.
We got Ultra instead of SF5. Capcom refused to give SF's producers enough money to make SF5. Capcom has also been killing off all of their old franchises because who fucking know why.
Edit: I'm going off of information I've gleaned from the web but I just stumbled across this which may prove me wrong. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/no-street-fighter-v-until-2018-capcom-producer/1100-6412556/

don't worry they're working on some more DLC: https://steamdb.info/app/45760/history/?changeid=847519
they've added 9 DLC packs a few days ago which corresponds to how they structure their costumes (Shoryuken, Brawler, Shadaloo, Classic, Femme Fatale, Challengers 1, Challengers 2, Arcade Challengers, 2014 Challengers)
i wonder what is this time? Onion Oni vs Carrot-top Ken? Cucumber Blanka vs Potato Hugo (it's his dream after all)?
That's not the case. I know Wbacon on Steam (PC community manager), I regularly let him know about the bugs and issues, last time I reported the lobby freezing and the messed up name of the ultra trials in the menu. He recently posted to the Steam discussions that they are still working on it, and they definetly do, cause the dev version keeps changing as it can be seen in the Steam DB. https://steamdb.info/app/45760/history/
Here's some tips:
Input lag
For PC version make sure to select Fixed Frame rate from the video options, and disable vsync as it generates input lag. If disabling vsync causes too much frame tearing use D3DOverrider to force vsync without input lag. (D3Doverrider is part of the Rivatuner installation). Obviously you should have the latest drivers for your video card.
Online
Never use a wifi connection for gaming and make sure you forward your router ports to GFWL. Close anything that could be eating bandwidth in the background.
Hope this helps!
Can you provide a source for an Xbox release date of June 3rd? It was originally announced as June 4th. I believe arcade release dates for the console are typically on Wednesdays.
Ignore the invincibility for Yang as it has been patched out.
This is how long the wakeup animation is technically, not how long they are knocked down for, but you can figure out the relative differences pretty easily.
Microsoft has stated that they'll be releasing Xbox One controller drivers soon but no concrete ETA besides 2014.
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/03/14/microsoft-xbox-one-controllers-pc-drivers-still-coming
If you're really desperate here are a few ways to get xbox one controllers to work on PC, googling them shouldn't be too difficult.
Try contacting AkihabaraShop for Sanwa/Seimitsu parts.
Or Japan Dealers:
https://sites.google.com/site/japandealers/
Or try:
I cannot speak for whether or not it works for SF4, but this was posted for an error in Dark Souls with the same error number, and it was reported to work.
The next step is to inturrupt your string. Pulling the specials off one after the other is fairly simple after a good amount of time, but now you need to pull them off on demand in a clean fashion while wiggling the stick all over the place to adjust your movement.
Train against Sagat, go into training options and select "record". Record Sagat throwing about six or nine fireballs in rapid succession, and then jumping forward at you for a jump in attack. Then set the training options to "playback". Try to match his fireballs with your own, and then dragon punch his jump in attack. The speed at which Sagat can throw fireballs is faster than any shoto, so after meeting a few fireballs of his with your own you should be forced to jump or block at least one or two of his fireballs before he tries the jump in attack.
This record/playback function is also invaluable when it comes to practicing certain things in training mode. Also, by using the "random block" feature, you can practice hit confirms. By using the "auto block" feature you can practice links (if the target dummy blocks your attack, your link input was too slow; if your attack doesn't come out, the link input was too fast).
And...of course you picked Onii. Don't think I don't know why. ;3

Here's a video I made a while ago to show what I'm talking about. There's other set ups for other characters but this was the first one I made to show a friend. Quality is crappy.
I use an xbox one pad which is easily the best pad imo. The d-pad is the best, it is very precise, solid, and durable, and there is a distinct click when pushed in the main four directions.
The big downside is that the only way to use it on the consoles is to get an adapter that fucks with other players' inputs on the same console. You can use it on the PC but you need the program Xpadder, not just the xbox one PC driver. I only play online so it's not a big deal for me. I'm banking on someone else releasing an adapter that won't fuck up local play with others if I ever decide to go to a tournament or something.
I take it you play on PC?
I was using this for a year before I got my TE: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-BLACK-PC-MAC-USB-CONTROLLER-SEGA-SATURN-/200633963068
Probably the best d-pad out there. Shoulder buttons are a bit cheap feeling. Works on PS3 as well.
Skullgirls is shaping up to be one of the smartest and deepest fighting games ever. More importantly, it's not made by capcom =p.
http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/11/11/skullgirls-developer-commentary-ms-fortune
Uploaded this to test how the hauppauge looks after uploading to youtube. How's the quality? If anyone has experience with recording and uploading videos, I would love to hear how you did it.
I took the .mp4 files that got saved, and loaded it up in Avidemux on linux (Ubuntu 10.04). Set the video to x.264 and the format to AVI. It encoded the 4 minute file to about 230 MB (the .mp4 was 250 MB). After that I just uploaded it to youtube.
Anyway, someone asked me how it was after I played with it, and it looks really easy. I'm going to have a blast. You can even use it to stream (Here is one of the saved stream attempts), but it looks like it's going to take a lot of configurations to get it right, so I'll have to mess around with that some more.
http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-fix-a-Madcatz-Arcade-Fightstick-SE-and-Why/step6/Why-You-Shouldnt-Do-This/ $105 american i think?
I'm NZ and comboing up some things I've baught so its cheaper for me. you could probably find a second hand SE on ebay or soemthing since no1 wants them?
They realized what a boondoggle it was, so they released a new cab with the 6 buttons.

Wool is going to create about as much friction and static buildup as possible. A thin polyester running or sports glove will have good ventilation but not provide much padding if that's what your looking for. Your hand is probably going to sweat like hell no matter what you use though.
You could wear a synthetic finger cot on your index finger also that might be your best bet. http://www.amazon.com/Protective-Static-Fabric-Fingertips-Gloves/dp/B008ZZ0PAC
Heading to the EGX tournament later this month but only have a Madcatz Fightstick Pro for PS3. Can anyone tell me if the Mayflash converter will work with my stick? I've read that there may be issues making PS3 sticks work on Xbox 360s.
I'm not a pad player but I recently have been trying to play Sonic 3 on steam and no xbox/PS controller had the D-pad response I wanted. I found one of these in my closet. The D-pad on this (personally) outshines any of the other pads i've played on. They're comfortable, the pad is amazing and its got a 6 button layout. They come in a variety of colors/characters. Part 2 of this--its a PS2 pad. Not really helpful on current console without an adapter. I picked up a few different ones from amazon and, since I'm a tad OCD about the lag, did a quick in game test. This one from may flash was leaps and bounds better than anything else and worked flawlessly for Sonic and my side scrollers, and i went into the lab to test some combos in USF4 to make sure it was the real deal. Not bad for about $30 total spent.
Runner up to me, would be the Mad Catz SFxT pads. They're pretty solid, but the d-pad itself feels a little too squishy to me. It just doesn't return to neutral fast enough, but a solid choice.
On a side note: sanwa is apparently making a pad that will be coming out with the bundle of Guilty Gear later this year. Maybe someone will want to sell just the controller? Thats a stretch though.
If it doesn't register on your PC you can just use a VIA USB PCI card. http://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-VIA-Adapter-Model-RC-103/dp/B004B0H5WG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1407095184&sr=8-2&keywords=via+usb+pci
Pop it in and it will read your PS3 stick.
Update: Amazon hasn't canceled my preorder. The Orders page says it'll be "available" on June 30.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JAK0P7Y/
Available only to US customers and customers with a US billing address, according to Amazon.
Don't really know what happened to the console upgrades, mate.
I use one of these and have been extremely happy with it ever since I got both of mine. Have had them for a little over half a year now, I think, no issues at all with either so far. I even use one of them to play on my friends' PS3 by setting it to DInput mode — the only drawback is the obvious lack of a PS Home button.
Other than that, happy as a clam with 'em.
you could use something like this
and attach a USB keyboard. expensive solution but it's possible
I bought a similar device for PS3. I also prefer a keyboard over pad and definitely over a stick. I just can't use my wrist to do srk motions, seems so strange for me.
It's worth it to try the hitbox too. Although I also don't prefer it, having the up button under your thumb is much more versatile than in the "w" position.
The xTokki is out of stock on the etokki website. It's available on ebay but on amazon there is this.
Do you know anything about the amazon product?
Here's the only digital upgrade link I could find:
http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Street-Fighter-IV-Digital/dp/B00JAK0P7Y
but it seems the preorder won't be live for another month or so. No details on that page about eligibility for the costume pack as well.
I'd be willing to guess that even if you don't preorder the costumes will be available for like $5-$10 or something. So, it's not the end of the world.
I'm looking at picking up my first arcade stick and after searching I am looking at these 3:
I play on PC so I like the third one most for compatibility reasons, but I am not 100% sure which has the highest quality parts or even if they're all the same. I have an intel chipset so a PS3 stick SHOULD work without problems and if the PS3 sticks I linked are higher quality then I will nut up and go for one of them.
It isn't specifically 'Intel' chipset that matters, it's UHCI support. Which older Intel chipsets (ICH series) support, along with some via chips, etc.
My friend had no UHCI support so I picked out a plug-in card from amazon for him for a few dollars.
Anything with a VIA VT62xx (VT6202 / VT6212) chip should work. Something like this
Cool, I'll look into that first before I make a decision. As an alternative, would this Hori stick be a good option as opposed to a pad or controller?
yes yes that's what i thought but look at the digital full version from amazon, it has a pre-order too !! does the pack come with it ? because it doesn't say !
http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Street-Fighter-IV-Digital/dp/B00JAK0P7Y
I'm talking about the standard PS3 digital code 39.99$
I'm used to the hold that Daigo is showing, currently trying to get used to it with 2 fingers on top, as personally i feel like my ring finger gets in the way of speed.
As for the gate: you've got to try what works. I grabbed an octo-gate and was riding the gate for a while. Friends tried to tell me how bad it was until one day i was playing locals and the stick i was using was a square so i just went with it. holy crap. i felt like the training wheels broke off of a bike while i was riding. Not only was i able to use less energy by throwing fireballs with a very small notation, but the "tiger knee" input became real, and it was like learning to shoryuken all over again.
if you're an amazon prime user, you can pick this one up and give it a try while getting it quickly and having amazon's easy return policy.
The Hori Real Arcade Pro V3 SA KAI is usually pretty cheap. I own one myself and have seen many tournament players using them in videos. I believe it's all Sanwa parts, just like the Mad Catz TE (which I also own.)
I've started to prefer it over my TE stick, mostly because the foam on the bottom is much more comfortable for people like myself who play with the stick on our laps.
Xbox 360 version on Amazon: http://www.amazon.ca/Xbox-360-Real-Arcade-Pro/dp/B008DDBMSK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1407725024&sr=8-4&keywords=hori
Could you post a link to wherever you're buying the pad from? Is it a first-party Sega pad with an adapter/converter or is it just similar or knockoff?
If you're referring to something like this then it would probably be a DirectInput controller and you'd be out of luck for the 360.
I picked on up at an EB Games -- PDP MVC3 Fightpad Pro ($20 for a returned unit). I think the XBOX/Microsoft store also carried them, at around $35 each, wired.
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Versus-Controller/dp/B0051MQJWU
So it's not a d-pad -- it actually has actuators to sense when the analog-like stick has gone past certain activation points (with a click) -- it's actually digital inputs.
I prefer dpads, having played on SNES controllers back on the day -- things like dashing (F,F) motions are harder on this pad, and would be easier on a dpad.
Yeah I play on PC. I might end up checking that pad out if I dont end up grabbing this one in the near future.
Please check Amazon it says "PC DVD"
If you buy the upgrade copy you don't get the costumes!
I just got this to learn on, I'm just starting to play SFIV. $35.00
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Arcade-Fighting-Joystick-Playstation-3/dp/B0015PHMFU/ref=pd_cp_pc_0
So Far I like it. I am on PC.
http://www.amazon.com/Super-Street-Fighter-IV-Edition-Playstation/dp/B002I0J5NI Tada! it wont be Steam, but it's still the same game. Someone told me that once you get the Ultra Upgrade it will migrate over to steam.
This looks interesting (but super pricey $90 bucks). It isn't wireless, but it doesn't look like anything other than official microsoft products has the wireless functionality.
Mkay. I, against a few peoples opinions, ordered this stick simply because it was one of the cheapest ones I found. Since I ordered it just prior to the weekend it hasnt fully processed yet. Do you think that, for someone who has an interest in learning/getting better that it would be worth it to instead get the Arcade Fightstick Pro from MadCatz? I just wasnt too sure initially if I wanted to shell out that much for the pad, but now I feel like I might want to if the one Ive ordered wont be as effective.
My recommendation would be that Amazon sells new GC controllers.
My old ones all went to shit after too much use as well.
I tried doing that earlier. It turns out that the usb cable only transmits power, not data. After some googling, I found out that you need a receiver. They're cheap enough.
Now that I'm talking to ya, would you say you need a really good fightstick? I was looking at this one earlier. Obviously, a bulky expensive one would be best, but this one has good reviews as a beginner fightstick.
I was wondering if this would be okay?
For around 40 Euros, you can get This one, it worked really good on me, its really responsive and quite cheap, it has every function you'll need for street fighter (turbo and macroing, basiclly)
Saweeeet. BTW, Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection for Steam is only $2.50 right now on Amazon Link to amazon page
If you're playing on PC, this one will do fine.
And you can get an even cheaper deal on certain sticks as well.
http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-WWE-Stars-Brawl-Stick-3/dp/B004M25NNQ
The point here is that yes, you can dual mod, but there are factors to look at: cost of the mod, knowing how to do it, having soldering equipment, time, etc. Or you can probably pay less to get a simple stick or some more to get a quality one.
I really like the F510 pad. I'm not going to say it's better than a stick, but it's definitely the best pad I've used by far.
It has a "floating D-pad," with 4 distinctive direction buttons under it, instead of the soggy-feeling single rubber mat on a PS3 or 360 controller.
The pad has a tendency to easily hit adjacent diagonals, which is a desirable feature 98% of the time. Fireballs and DPs feel very natural and fast. However, when you go to release a diagonal (to neutral), you will usually tap an adjacent cardinal direction in the process. This is usually not a problem in Street Fighter, though.
A clean B,F,B,F etc. may be difficult to perform quickly, but in SF4 you can substitute DB-DF-DB-F for super motions, which is easily and swiftly done on this pad.
The triggers are firm, but the trigger point is very sensitive, so I find them fine for buttons. The shoulder bumpers have a nice weighty click, and the face buttons feel responsive. One thing it really struggles with is Fierce lightning kicks. Pads are bad for that input in general.
Much much better than a 360 or PS3 pad, imo.
I HIGHLY recommend this because of it's weight and size. Although the buttons and stick are hori, they are of high quality. you can easily replace the parts with sanwa if so desired.
Still on sale on Amazon for ~50% off
Here's an Amazon.co.uk link if you're from EU. Can't seem to find a PC download version on this site though.
i have the same fight stick and for me it does not work... i had to buy something extra for 10 dollers (this right here http://www.amazon.com/HDE-Port-USB-Desktop-Card/dp/B001L4HXVI/ref=sr_1_53?ie=UTF8&qid=1373859447&sr=8-53&keywords=fightstick+ps3) Because if i did not have it, my pc did not recognize it...
I got this a few days ago and I am very, very satisfied with my purchase.
These are an absolute steal for $100 (even more so if you can find it locally for cheaper as I did) because they use the same components as they do in the TE sticks, which are upwards of $200 on some of them.
The button layout took no more than 15 minutes to get used to, so don't be put off by it if you were used to the American style layout.
I was wondering if this would be okay?
Will ps3 versions of the mad catz fight pads work on the PC? such as this one
Which system do you play on? I play on PC, so initially I picked up a Wii Classic Controller Pro and a mayflash adapter for emulation (needed a Nintendo d-pad) and it's been working out ok so far. It could be just me, but I think the adapter drops inputs on occasion. It's not enough of an occurrence to be an issue, but still. I've also seen posts on SRK about input delays (1-3 frames) while using similar adapters, but I haven't noticed anything like that (could be due to my low skill level). Here is the link for the adapter, it also works on PS3. Total cost comes out to be ~$30, which seems pretty reasonable.
I still want a TE stick though, looking forward to next weekend for some TFC stream promos.
The Versus controller for the 360 is $15 + plus free shipping. Some of the reviews on Amazon suggest that it may break after a few months.
If you are able to save up, you should get a Mad Catz stick. They are around $23-25. They should be able to last longer, maybe 1-2 years before any signs of wear.
There's
http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-WWE-Stars-Brawl-Stick-3/dp/B004M25NNQ
to hold you over.
Neither of which are as good as the madcatz, and I don't recommend them, but those are the best you can buy at $40 and $70 respectively.
I preferred to get a new stick just so I didnt get some bad used one. I dont think you can get a new stick under 100. Unless you get like a WWE brawl stick which dont have the same quality parts has a 100 one.
Most TE's are around 139+shipping I think. The soul edition is 99..
I still think the best bet is Q4s. Dual mod was something that I wanted and was too lazy to figure it out by myself. I have had no problems with it so far either.
Mechanical keyboards are almost always worth it so long as you like the feel. They last forever. I spent about $90 on my steel series, but only because it's a purely bare-bone mechanical keyboard with MX blacks. I could see myself getting a Das eventually.
You do lose the PS3 compatibility, but gain a keyboard you will practically never replace.
That stick is pretty baller, though.
Nah, don't bother with anything like that. If you're on a spending limit, try and find a brawl stick for cheap.
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-WWE-Stars-Brawl-Stick/dp/B004M23RAC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370750689&sr=8-1&keywords=brawl+stick
That way later on if you like the way a stick feels you can mod it with better parts.
Thats a very nice hitbox style stick you have I may have to try that project later. But, the Hori Real Arcade Pro3 retails for $140-$200, then you have to buy buttons and mod it. and the keyboard is for $150. Unless the stick was a lot cheaper when you bought it. Because the keyboard retailed on amazon prime for 106.99 shipped when I bought it 3 months ago. If you can find a good deal on your hori stick let me know, I want a button stick. I currently have this stick I don't want to mod that one though. I would probably just buy new stick to mod.
Thanks! Right now it is still the leading choice. The only other comparable stick I can really find is the WWE Brawl Stick that would work for the 360 but I will probably end up with the Q1
I wouldn't get anything cheaper than this

It's what I use, I love it, It has a little compartment to stash your cord in too. I am from Ontario I got free shipping on it.
If you plan on continuing playing fighters with a keyboard, you might as well get one that doesn't hinder or impede your play. Microsoft's Sidewinder X4 goes on sale on Newegg somewhat often at $40 w/ free shipping, and if you're serious about quality then step up to mechanical keyboards which often support NKRO. I just purchased a Ducky Zero with brown switches and it's fantastic, very glad I chose the keyboard rather than a fightstick.
That one you picked out is perfect. Another option, and my go to stick at that price point is this one. I have the 360 version and I love it. Cord compartment, some button remapping if that's your thing, and importantly for me, it's big and sturdy. I prefer to play on my lap and this one doesn't move around at all when I play. It does have other game art on it, but it's not very obtrusive and you can replace it if you like.
Yeah. What everyone else said. You need super to upgrade to AE

Amazon link. You can buy it for 5 bucks used.
No, the PS3 one is also on sale for $110. It's also better since it has 2 USB ports for a keyboard and microphone.

Don't get that stick, it feels cheap.
I have the same one as ebinsugewa and I can tell you right now it feels way better. The MadCatz TE is only slightly better and its way heavier and has massive knobs on the bottom which makes playing on a table WAY better but playing on your lap a lot more painful.
However that being said I find the QANBA sticks THAT MUCH better than the Hori or MadCatz, but it makes basically no difference in my play, there is really no difference in responsiveness, its just something about them makes you feel hyped to play on them, and as a bonus they are Dual Modded out of the box. So if you are rich get that, but otherwise get this:
http://www.amazon.com/Real-Arcade-Pro-VX-Xbox-360/dp/B0041S9U8A
much cheaper and easier to find than a madcatz... although if you can wait for another Major tournament the madcatz will be cheaper or the same price as the Hori (in which case I would DEFINITELY get that over the Hori)
hori SCV stick with all sanwa parts is still on sale for 100$, http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Xbox-360-Soulcalibur-Arcade-Stick/dp/B006TC57WO/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1343938045&sr=1-2&keywords=hori+soul+calibur+v+stick it was 89.99$ a week ago or something, but I can't seem to find a link to that one. This one and the SFxTekken madcatz stick constantly go on sale for around 90-100$ and are top notch quality.
its not ps3 only, and those cause input lag in my experiance. http://www.amazon.com/Street-Fighter-Anniversary-Collectors-Xbox-360/dp/B0085O6XHC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1347368110&sr=8-2&keywords=sf+25th+anniversary link to the 360 version
Got one at amazon for 40 british pounds + free shipping to all europe, not sure if helpful Brawlstick but here you go
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Arcade-Fighting-Joystick-Playstation-3/dp/B0015PHMFU there are 2 options for shipping, if you do the free one the total comes out to $39.99. I haven't gotten to spend that much time on it because of work but there are no glaring problems, in my opinion all sicks are just a Joystick and 8 buttons, no need to get too complicated. Like a mouse it is more about preference.
The DVD copy is on sale still for $20 http://www.amazon.com/Super-Street-Fighter-Arcade-Edition-Pc/dp/B0058AD0RM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1332324092&sr=8-2
Got mine on digital download last week for 20, I looked everywhere I could think of and couldn't find someone to match amazons price unfortunately...
My brother has a stick like that, I personally don't like them, they feel cheap as hell.
this is what i have: http://www.amazon.ca/Real-Arcade-Pro-VX-SA/dp/B0041S9U8A
I love this stick, it feels great, it's light, and you can tuck the cord inside the stick (it comes with a little fold-out compartment) its much more easy to find online and much cheaper than a madcatz stick, i am very happy with it.
The buttons on the MADCATZ sticks are definitely a little better than the hori. Madcatz is way heavier, stick feels the same to me, only thing i dont like about madcatz is it has these rubber pegs on the bottom that dig into your legs, of course if you play on a table this is probably a bonus.
I use this, It usb, 100% ghost free and has 20 key rollover with 1ms response time.
I have this one http://www.amazon.ca/Real-Arcade-Pro-VX-SA/dp/B0041S9U8A
I like it a lot its worth the money, the MadCatz stick is definitely a little better I have used it, but they can be hard to find. I am considering selling my stick before I move to EU and just buying a TE once I get over there cause it is a lot of room in my suitcase
I got my Hori VX SA RAP for 140$ all in on Amazon, free shipping. http://www.amazon.com/Real-Arcade-Pro-VX-Xbox-360/dp/B0041S9U8A I like it better than the Mad Catz ones but that's just my preference. It's cool because you can stash the wire inside the stick when travelling. I have an extra Mad Catz fight pad with Akuma on it if you are interested in purchasing it from me, I don't know if it'd be worth it because I live all the way in Ontario, the shipping would probably be pretty costly. But look into those for your friends who just want to play casually, they are considerably cheaper... like $30 instead of 140$+.
I like that stick. It seems kind of slim compared to the others but I am sure that is a preference thing. I am between this one and the blazblue te stick.
I contacted Mad Catz and was told they will not be restocked until probably August just fyi.
Yeah if you really like them then by all means, but from what I've heard you had to basically fist those big clunky joysticks to make the inputs go properly. I think it will suck at first but after a little bit of an adjustment you will really like the newer stuff.
If you're hell bent on keeping that kind of joystick look into changing the .ini file to interpret the stick as an xbox controller, I'm not sure how it would work with that.
If you're looking at new sticks I'd suggest one of these:
TE Fight Stick (#1 choice, I've used both and they're great, but everyone has a TE and there's a reason.)
I see these are out of stock but this store has a deal for 10% off if you use coupon code CROSSCOUNTER and their prices are reasonable. So check for any of them being in stock. Amazon has them listed for like $300 which is ridiculous.
