All good. Glad to have you back! I will accept the moderation position to help out. I imagine at some point, I'll need you to call me out to mod so really, all good. Thank you.
I use IFTTT to send me emails when new posts on /r/ngpc are made and when I get messaged here on reddit. I set up a second trigger for this sub. It can be a bit slow but I generally get emails no more than 2 hours after a post is made.
I'd love to hear what the community would like in terms of weekly and/or monthly events. I looked into Retroarch netplay and sadly I don't believe it'll work as its currently implemented for Saturn, but still, there should be some fun weeklies we can do.

These images were generated by myself and are based on the latest translation released in December 2018. All tested, all working. Please note that you will need 7-Zip to extract the archive. Have fun :)
Kind of also looks like a poor-quality or over-exposed image of the Saturn model kit https://www.amazon.com/Best-HIT-Chronicle-SEGASATURN-HST-3200/dp/B07ZTDW238

CD Romance has the Lunar translations: CDRomance Saturn Translations
But I'm not so sure about the status of the other Scenarios of Shining Force III.
You're welcome!
I'm still waiting for my white Saturn (jap) to arrive along with the modchip I've ordered so I honestly don't know what to use to burn bin/cue or MP3/iso/cue images on Mac.
I think Burn will do the job: http://burn-osx.sourceforge.net/Pages/English/home.html
Give it a try and let us know if it works!
Yesterday, I used the ad-free version of jDownloader to grab the full set.
Windows 10 tried to block the installer. I had to manually allow it to run. Works well.
I need to play that then. I had Shining Force 3 and that whole series is great. You also inspired me to get the RetroBit wireless controller even though I heard some don't work... although I had to get the slate gray because it's dope as hell. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XVHSNCS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_RD2JYE7X5DEMBH9B66A0
Not a fan of this model controller & especially not of the shoulder buttons on any Saturn model, especially after owning/comparing it to these.
The tactile response on the shoulder buttons combined with the amazing D-Pad & connectivity options make it the obvious choice for me, they come in 2.4GHz models also for those of you that prefer that.
Using an electrical lube like Boshield T-9 is great for trouble free Saturn cart usage. I take the carts apart and mask everything on the board but the card edge connector. I spray Boshield T-9 on both sides of the card edge and allow it to dry completely. I sprayed the cart slot this way on the Saturn board and let it dry too. I keep all my different Saturn carts in separate ziplock snack bags to keep them dust free. (4MB, Memory card, KOF '95 Rom) I also always leave a cart in the slot on the Saturn too. I have zero issues with my Saturn carts now. before, I would have to fold some paper and push it in behind the cart for it make good contact.
First, confirm you’re doing the following:
If the problem persists, it’s your CD-R media. These discs will never steer you wrong: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PJ6GS3Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_AO9bFb47ETBW5
Previously used a SiliconPower microSD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S5QW5V3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ZfdoFbBHE7H3P
Now using a SiliconPower SSD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075RJS55D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_chdoFb8KPJ3DR
I bought the 4 in 1 cart from amazon: (this is the exact one I bought from the exact seller I bought it from ) https://www.amazon.com/Action-Replay-4M-Plus-enhancement-sega/dp/B008FPMBNG/ref=sxts_sxwds-bia-wc-drs1_0
I flashed it with Pseudo Kai and it runs Xmen VS Street Fighter and the like just fine
My understanding is that right now, supplies are very low due to global trade routes being massively impacted by COVID-19.
This Amazon link is for the “second run” version of the cases that were said to be a big improvement over the first batch of aftermarket ones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GBMRQJW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_OIXWEbXAPY0KV
If you’re determined to buy a long box and can’t find any sellers, your best bet may be to just purchase a crap game you don’t want so that you can use its case.
Best of luck!
Not sure if this is the best one, but you could get an external USB CD-writer for cheap. Something like this:
I'm just using Amazon as an example btw, as it's easy to get quick links from. Feel free to buy from wherever :)
The mod chip isn't too hard to install, as long as you follow the instructions and don't skip any steps. You select which ribbon cable to use (the phantom came with both 20 pin for model 1, and 21 pin for model 2), and then a few soldering points to add. There's a full step by step process here if you want to check it before going that route.
https://www.r43ds.org/downloads/Phantom-Universal-Installation-Guide.zip
You'd be surprised at how easy it is. I'd recommend using Taiyo Yuden CD-R's if you go this route. You can get 50 discs for under $15 on Amazon:
Of course, you're going to need a method to play them. I went the mod chip route and got a Phantom Universal installed in mine. I have no idea how readily available the chips are anymore though, so it might be easier to go for a Pseudo Saturn cart.
I haven't burnt a Saturn game in a while, but I think I used to use Padus DiscJuggler and another program called Saturn Region Patcher. As I recall, it was all straight forward and not hard at all. I hope this helps!
Amazon UK recently sent me an email saying that the delivery date had been pushed back to April 11th.
I’m pretty sure they deliver internationally. Still available for preorder here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Retro-Bit-Official-SEGA-Saturn-Control/dp/B07H3QWY1C
It's just a cheap converter/upscaler I got from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B01ALMBT6A/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01
Nothing fancy really, the picture quality isn't that great, but it allows me to test my retro consoles while doing repairs/soldering, so it gets the job done. From what I read in the description, it is converting the signal to 60Hz. The only case it didn't work was with the Dreamcast for some reason (black screen)
Do you clean the pins with a cleaning solution or anything? My AR cart is really clean to be honest, as I've kept a cloth cover over the entire Saturn when it wasn't in use..the cartridge slot on the system looks pretty good too. To be honest, I think the AR cart is just toast..I am super nervous about stressing the drive motor at this point and feeling like I should just get an AR cart replacement.
I forgot to mention the type of AR cartridge I've been using:
https://www.amazon.com/Action-Replay-4M-Plus-enhancement-sega/dp/B008FPMBNG
I'm wondering if this one is low quality and prone to failure?
Looks like they're referred to as "pitch headers". I just did some quick googling to try to identify it. This might get you pointed in the right direction though.
Found one amazon that looks close too: https://www.amazon.com/Gumps-grocery-Single-2-54mm-Socket/dp/B082Z44ZK7/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=25LU50532ERD8&keywords=4+pin+pitch+header&qid=1666645333&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIyLjY3IiwicXNhIjoiMC4wMCIsInFzcCI6IjAuMDAifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=4+pin+pitch+...
This might be a better choice if you're playing Saturn stuff https://www.amazon.com/Retro-Bit-Official-Wireless-Controller-8-Button/dp/B08C4TN2S6/ref=sr\_1\_1?keywords=retrobit+saturn+2.4&link\_code=qs&qid=1664956583&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIxLjU3IiwicXNhIjoiMC45NyIsInFzcCI6IjEuMDAifQ%3D%3D&sourceid=Mo...

^ ^ What i use. I wanted a simple solution that worked well.
>Thank you fine sir. Only issue is my ratio is grayed out and I can't change it. It's stuck on wide....
What are you using to connect your Saturn to the Tv? Or is it emulation?
If it's a real Saturn, i suggest this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SCYLJXF
^ ^ Not only is it an easy way to connect Saturn by HDMI but, the image it puts out is great for the money and, it has a built-in aspect ratio switch.
https://www.amazon.com/Hakko-FR-301-Desoldering-Tool/dp/B07BKSLLG9
That’s what I use at work when dealing with ground plains. You still didn’t answer what was wrong in the first place. I see a lot of people doing unnecessary recaps just because the internet says it’s a cure all for everything and wrecking consoles that would have been easy fixes
I bought this from another users recommendation, works like a charm, haven't had a single problem since.

Yeah this is what I bought lol... It sucks.
Hm, nope. Never seem it b4.Does it have USB port? Or I bought the Brook Wingman SD Converter for SS/DC.https://www.amazon.com/Mcbazel-Wingman-Converter-Controller-Dreamcast/dp/B08CHD6XYW/ref=sr\_1\_8?crid=1DOZJ1DPAK3BO&keywords=brooks+wingman+sd+converter+for+ss&qid=1649148578&sprefix=brook+wingman+sd+converter+for+ss%2Caps%2C414&sr... dont own PS3/4 or Xbox One/Series controllers, and have yet to test my Mayflash Adapters (own the SS, MD/Genesis, N64) but it does works with my 360 wireless controller (connecting the receiver on it) and Razer Atrox.AFTER firmware update. Which is tricky as Windows's AV detects it as "potential risky".
I can't comment much on the subject but this one from LevelHike claims to have fixed the issue on its newer cables. Some reviews disagree but possibly they got old stock.

I am using this controller.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KYJXVQK?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2\_dt\_b\_product\_details
I was thinking about swapping it, yea, but was surprised that a Samsung SD card wouldn't be good enough. Might buy one at Best Buy and give it a test run just to see if it works.
Oh, I'm sorry. As far as know, there isn't an English translation. This best resource I've found information regarding the Video CD cards and their functionality.
Alright then it seems to be SD card related. The LED doesn't seem to have anything to do with the ribbon cable. I just tried it on mine and it still came up blue with the cable disconnected. Not sure if the color means anything.
What did you use to format the SD card. I'm personally using a SanDisk Ultra 128GB MicroSDXC card without any problems. Try formatting it with Rufus: https://rufus.ie/en/ Select Non Bootable in boot selection, MBR partition scheme, Large FAT32 and leave the cluster size on default.
Where did you buy your Fenrir from if you don't mind me asking?
I had thought about that. How do you usually go about the process? I had looked it up on YouTube previously and they were recommending UV lights that are about half the cost of a new shell. I guess it may still be worth it if I had to do the process a few times.
https://www.amazon.com/Onforu-Flexible-Blacklight-Non-Waterproof-Fluorescent/dp/B07D7R1PKQ
Amazon has new 3rd party controllers if you wanna read up on them. Haven't tested them myself though cause I got really lucky and got my Saturn during the pandemic but before the collector's boom and mine came with an official 3D Controller.
The CD-Rs that work best are easily found on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Taiyo-Yuden-Silver-Lacquer-Plastic/dp/B007R6B6FI
The Pseudo-Saturn itself you can do yourself using an Action Replay cart which is also easily found on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Action-Replay-4M-Plus-enhancement-sega/dp/B008FPMBNG this cart will also let you play games from any region. If you google Pseudo-Saturn you should be able to find a main site with how to flash the cart. I never did that and TBH it seemed a bit too involved for me. If you search "Pseudo Saturn Kai" on Ebay, you'll find tons of carts for around $50-$60 with it preinstalled if you want to skip the hassle.
If you want to keep the disc drive and have the money to burn; I'd really recommend looking at the Satiator because it'll allow you to play backups on an SD card, skip the whole burning process/need for Pseudo and still let you use legit discs.
Can anyone confirm if this is an okay choice for storage? Amazon Basics - 256GB microSDXC Memory Card with Full Size Adapter, A2, U3, read speed up to 100 MB/s https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08TJZDJ4D/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_XY9SEX3ZMYHBGXWJR0VB Have no on speed or rating, and am just trying to keep my costs down as I'll be getting stung with shipping and import duties on the satiator...
I've been using a burner that also doesn't go below 10x (I set it as 4x on ImgBurn, but there's a message that the lowest my burner can go is 10x, but the average write speed by the end is usually 8-9x) and I'd say all the games that I've burned (bar a few that have issues with the PSK) work flawlessly
for reference, this is the burner I use and I use Verbatim CD-R's like this. I think the whole "write at 2-4x speed with Taiyo Yuden CDs" is extremely overblown. might as well go for an ODE by that point
I’m at work currently so can’t get the error verbatim but it complains the cue file has invalid data and won’t burn. This is with img burn using this file
https://cdromance.com/sega_saturn_isos/lunar-silver-star-story-english-patched/
If anyone can check into trying it for me
Sorry to bother you again but can you link to the preferred instructions of flashing a stock AR card with Memory Card Plus?
Finally, I plan to order this specific AR card. Seeing how there are clones everywhere, is this the right one?
https://www.amazon.com/Action-Replay-4M-Plus-enhancement-sega/dp/B008FPMBNG/
Yabause is a Sega Saturn emulator, so I'm not sure how well discussions on that are received here. In general, it's probably a setting you have to change. Look for help on the project's webpage: http://yabause.org/
Sadly, SSF and Yabause are your only worthwile options for Saturn emulation. Satourne seems to be defunct as of 2006, and SSF is closed source and not frequently updated. Yabause is open source and still technically under development. You might want to collect as much data about the sound bug with this game in Yabause as you can and file a bug report on the Yabause website.
I just bought it off Amazon Best HIT Chronicle 2/5 SEGASATURN (HST-3200)
In fact here ya go man goood luck!

I would buy this instead: https://www.amazon.com/Action-Replay-4M-Plus-enhancement-sega/dp/B008FPMBNG/
You are less likely to get scammed by Amazon. Also, Prime shipping and y9u will get a refund if it's shit.
That website you linked looks like it will give you aids if you are not careful.
Get the 4 in 1 Action Replay Cart. This will allow you to play imports, 4mb ram for games that require it, 1mb ram for games that require it, and act as a backup ram cart for saving your games. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008FPMBNG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_SPCDRT5TWRWEC03M45N3
I bought mine on Amazon a long time ago. I can’t vouch for the quality of the ones being sold these days but here’s a link to one: https://www.amazon.com/Action-Replay-4M-Plus-enhancement-sega/dp/B008FPMBNG/. Since you’d just be using the firmware of the Memory Card Plus, you shouldn’t run into issues (at least I haven’t). You do have to use the flasher tool that comes with Pseudo Saturn Kai though so you’ll have to run a burned disk at least once which means either doing the swap trick or buying a different cartridge that already comes flashed with Pseudo Saturn Kai.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000N5JS5A/
Make sure whatever cable you get ONLY has the S-Video cable and the red/white cables. The snide ones also usually include the yellow cable for video on composite. Never had any luck with those variants. Always crap. Make sure whatever you get is dedicated with no other bits added for other connections.
This image Has almost all of the price tags. I think the first Devil Summoner game was also like 300 yen. I got the Perfect Catalog from amazon.co.jp for about 2600 yen.
I guess my thoughts on inexpensive different a lot from the people on this sub. $100 or more is not inexpensive.
I use a pound cable : https://www.amazon.com/Pound-HDMI-Link-Cable-Sega-Saturn/dp/B07Z813JCB
Its not super fancy but the picture quality is what I expected and the price was right , $30 . There are better options but the better ones are not inexpensive.
Not my fault your burner can't burn slower. Get an older plextor or pioneer burner of the time period if this is indeed your bread and butter business.
And you never mentioned the media being used. I would recommend Taiyo Yudens as those were the gold standard when I used to burn.
The deeper color dyes makes a difference. If you hold a cd-r to the light and see straight through it, it's crap and going to read like crap on an old cd-rom drive. TY discs are considerably better quality and darker dyes that the lasers of older drives have a better time reading in general.
You can use any lens, they're all universal, just make sure it's another 21 pin if you have a 21 pin connector. If you're trying to replace a specific part, forget that and just get another 21 pin lens.
If your lens literally is damaged, this is the lens (not entire ODD) you need to use https://www.amazon.com/OPTIMA-6S-Optical-Pickup-Stream-Electronics/dp/B003XRK92Q
I recommend a Saturn RGB scart cable and then get a scart to HDMI converter for the best picture. Also, they sell brand new wired Saturn controllers with super long cables or they even have wireless options with a wireless dongle for the Saturn and a USB. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P2BS42K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_R7T3Q9XTDNXJFNMV4RAX
There's no real risk of damaging anything. If you have the devices, download Yaba Sanshiro or maybe RetroArch and start playing a little bit. If you like it, no worries. If you don't, you'll need to investigate other options.
I have an S9 and I'd suspect it'll run SS games just fine.
You could pick up a copy at Amazon JP but it doesn't run cheap! https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/%E3%82%B2%E3%83%BC%E3%83%A0%E3%83%BB%E3%83%9F%E3%83%A5%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B8%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF/dp/B00005FPED
You can get the Action Replay 4MB Plus cart with a black Saturn. That way, you could play all the imports without the Japanese model
https://www.amazon.com/Action-Replay-4M-Plus-enhancement-sega/dp/B008FPMBNG
This question literally gets posted once a week!
Taiyo Yuden are typically considered the "gold standard" of CD-Rs. I've only heard people having success with these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PJ6GS3Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Some notes:
Magical Drop III is running via MiSTer. I own the game via:
The Virta Stick on the left is running on a Brook UFB with Kaimana Mini LED kit. It's connected to the Saturn via Brook Wingman SD. If you wanna not have trouble with this setup on a Saturn:
I found out my LG Monitor has 2 frames of latency ;_;
It's one of the unbranded generic ones. All over ebay and amazon under different names.
And yes, it does 4:3 just fine, that's the only mode I'll accept. It even outputs letterbox bars on all four sides, but I can't guarantee every version will be the same.
https://www.amazon.ca/SCART-Video-Converter-Scaler-Coaxial/dp/B00MUNIVRO
> I don't have anything against SCART mind you, just would rather have a single box I can use for both (unmodded)
I get it. A device which can do both is the ideal, right?
Buy this. Then find a guide on the Internet for how to flash PSK onto it. This method requires that you have at least one genuine Saturn game (even a $1 sports game) but I don't think you can get the carts much cheaper. Maybe they're cheaper direct from a seller in China through AliExpress but you will wait several weeks for delivery.
I've been using one of those carts (which I flashed myself) for years and it works very well.
The great thing about the MODE is that it supports SATA, USB, and MicroSD.
If you want to use the MicroSD slot, this extension cable can mitigate this issue: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WLKLTTY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3OULB8S2H76BD&psc=1
Likewise, a USB extension cable will work if you opt for USB storage. Either way, you can access your storage medium by simply opening the Saturn tray.
It’s a hyperkin hdtv cable for Saturn. Link here. My Saturn only came with an rf adapter so I picked up one of these for better video.
First, confirm you’re doing the following:
If the problem persists, it’s your CD-R media. These discs will never steer you wrong: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PJ6GS3Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_AO9bFb47ETBW5
EDIT: Of course hardware failures can be to blame, too. No matter what though, adhering to that list above is necessary to ensure you’ll be successful in your Saturn CD-R endeavors. If that doesn’t solve it, dig into potential points of failure with the hardware.
it is a basic passive RCA Y adapter. i am aware of a loss of signal but figured that the loss of quality wasn't big enough to make a major difference, especially with it being an older console anyway, i thought if i enjoyed making a few videos or streaming then i would invest in a powered amplifier to split the signal better, rather than spend the money to find i wasn't that bothered/didn't enjoy it etc. but to learn it can cause issues would definitely make me think of reconsidering, would this do the trick? https://www.amazon.co.uk/TNP-Splitter-Composite-Amplifier-Distribution/dp/B072LTBT6G/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=1+A%2FV+Component+Video+Distribution+Amplifier+Splitter&qid=1601327316&sr=8-1
I wasn't aware it could cause problems for the encoder within the console - what is the issue here? id be interested to know for future reference.
I trawled the net for a few more hours last night and found a post on a forum saying that somebody had had a similar issue and had taken off the top case and cleaned out the dost with a compressed air duster, it seemed simple enough so gave it a go (man, there was a lot of dust!) and have had better results, however i have not tried to re-split the signal again since, i may well wait on attempting this again if it could potentially cause harm.
Thank you very much for your reply mate :)
When you say "splitter", what kind of device specifically are you referring to? Are you just getting some passive RCA Y-adapters and connecting them to the TV and capture device? If so, you should really avoid doing that for video signals. It's not good for the console's video encoder and can reduce video quality or cause other issues. To properly split video you need a powered distribution amplifier. I don't know what's readily available in the UK, but this one is a popular option in the US.
I purchased this one and flashed Kai light to it and it has worked amazingly well for Action Replay 4M Plus - Ultimate enhancement for your Saturn console https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008FPMBNG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xgMwFbBJQ9DFJ
This is for the JST 2.5 2-pin connector (Saturn extra power cable).

In the video I'm obviously recording the audio from an emulator. On real hardware, you need to connect the stereo out of your Saturn to the line in of your PC. Use a Y-Cable Headphone Jack to RCA or something similar.
Step-by-step instructions are available on the GitHub page.

Ass ink: imagine playing Splatoon but instead of a gun you hunker over and claim territory with an old fashioned ass blasting! On a serious note, I have a Canon MG3100 series printer it's several years old at this point. You can pick up a similar model from Amazon Prime for $50, I just bought new ink and it actually cost me more for ink than it would have to get a new printer. I will say in person you can tell it was done on a basic printer, but really only if you're paying attention.
Thanks,
100% of the US backups work and continue to work (i've tried roughly 75 of these). They will load and boot quickly every time, I'm using https://www.amazon.com/Spindle-HiDisc-97m24s01f-Printable-Recordable/dp/B07PJ6GS3Q, which say they are TY but can't be 100% of what they genuinely are. I'll try the non booting ones in the CD player
Very few of the JP games worked which is why I thought maybe they were dumped wrong, even after trying completely different dumps. I noticed all of the US set was just bin/cue but a majority of the Japanese set was muti-bin/cue. I've even tried combining the bins to a single bin and trying that out, both with and without the pseudo saturn patcher, yet no dice.
It's also possible that Alcohol 120% isn't mounting the image correctly. I create CDI images using DiscJuggler and Daemon Tools 3.47 in a Windows XP virtual machine, but obviously that's not the most trivial thing to set up. An alternative way of creating Rhea/Phoebe images is to use Daemon Tools Lite and CD Manipulator; both of these programs are free and work on Windows 10. The correct settings for CD Manipulator can be found here.
My Sandisk 128GB microSD card is formatted exactly like yours. This is the particular SD card that I use: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter-Performance/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=sandisk+128gb&qid=1574860546&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&sr=8-3
Either a bad dump or bad blank discs. I saw you mentioned Verbatim which are generally low quality discs and will have trouble streaming audio and data to your Saturn.

These are the only discs I've come across that work on both the Saturn and Sega CD with zero issues. There is another that looks similar by CMC that has issues. Be sure it's JVC Taiyo Yuden.
I have a few different kinds from very expensive to pretty cheap. The cheaper ones do the job. You can try this one...
https://www.amazon.com/BACOENG-Digital-Rework-Station-Solder/dp/B07BRQX15Z/
700 Degrees Fahrenheit @ 4x fan speed
I actually have this one https://www.amazon.com/TXINLEI-8586-Soldering-Different-Desoldering/dp/B07FJ6PNHF/ and it’s actually decent.
here's one I have no idea how reputable that site is. I just use this with Psuedo Saturn
They do make "stand alones," like this one: Minigen Video Entertainment System https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0735Z2941/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_O3-nAb24546RB
And RetroGen isn't emulation, it's a Genesis on a chip, which is a hardware clone. Subtle distinction.
What are you searching for? Type in Action Replay 4M Plus. https://www.amazon.com/Action-Replay-4M-Plus-enhancement-sega/dp/B008FPMBNG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1507422534&sr=8-1&keywords=Action+replay+4m+plus
Is the proper tool. Push in the plunger, heat up the solder spot till it gets all shinny and mash the button. I sucks it up and your done. $10 is a great price.
Glad to hear! I recommend someday getting a Mission Stick, if you don't have it already: https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B0001RBMD6/ref=pd_sim_63_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=WGKH3M83W8TT7HZKAHHV
And some other games to play with it, like Space Harrier and the Panzer Dragoons, among others.
It's a generic one that I've seen sold under different brand names from different sellers, but here's an example: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SCART-HDMI-converter-convert-connect/dp/B0092IAA3I?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B0092IAA3I&linkCode=as2&redirect=true&ref_=as_li_ss_tl&tag=hdmiheroscarttohdmi-21
I have not been able to test with a TV or other setups. I suppose it could be helpful to isolate the issue, but the goal is still to use the console with my capture/PC setup. If I get the chance to test with other setups I'll make sure to report back.
I hear you on the price. At least the scart to component has many uses.
As another option, I picked up one on these a few weeks ago as a stop-gap for other devices. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E4J9F1S/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_BTCuxb56560JY
The price is steep though and it is hdmi.
These are the cards I use:
32GB can hold about 55 games. Cards over 32GB are not officially supported last I heard. The card also needs to be SDHC type.
I have been using this for a year and while its no framemeister, I would argue it is a better bang for your buck.
Curious: do you use any upscalers to play, or do you play on a classic tube TV?
I recently got one of these and play on an HD Plasma.
