When I was in college, I had one of those specifically for my DVDs of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. As a college student with little space, it made sense. It was also kind of nice and faux leather bound.
But I'd never think about doing that now.
It's a wild story and ultimately, Michael Madsen (aka Mr. Blonde) helped my movie get distribution and in front of the audience. It's available here - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RTGBL7H
Looks like these might be what you're looking for:
Not for $20. For $40 more you can get a 15 movie box set on blu ray, its a much better deal
Alfred Hitchcock: The Masterpiece Collection (Limited Edition) [Blu-ray] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019329V7S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_dzy9Db3P7MQW1
Yeah, sorry. It's the Japanese premium box set, as pictured here. Wallace Corp is the fictional corporation featured in the movie, if you're not familiar.
I bought a beautiful blu-ray set on Amazon on Prime day. It has 31 discs and tons of special features. Here it is.
Looks like someone on Slickdeals started their yearly Black Friday post showing stores and their deals on movies so I thought it may come in handy to some of you. Guess he did this last year and will keep the post updated.
Yeah I think http://camelcamelcamel.com is a better way of doing this.
Cassette players are still being made in 2019
https://www.amazon.com/Cassette-Upgraded-Converter-Walkman-Capture/dp/B07MF3JLBY/
I don't think finding players will be an issue. Samsung stopping means the other brands will now sell more for a while. Yes, the market is shrinking, there's no denying that. But, just like with cds & vinyl, the market will continue after it has "died" to the public for collectors. The reality is most future releases will either be limited to dvds, limited number of copies, or companies will just plain charge more.
It's likely only the "big" releases will get blurays too. (Aka blockbusters & other high budget films)
But it's not dead now, nor will it be dead soon if we keep buying blurays. Imo the worse mentality that one can have right now is switching to digital because of fear of the market dying. We are the market, and studios are smart enough to do what will make them money.
Cassette tapes largely stopped being made in 2002. Yet they still make cassette players to this day
https://www.amazon.com/Reshow-Cassette-Player-Compatible-Computers/dp/B018WBUJBS/
The discs themselves are estimated to last roughly a hundred years before going bad. At some point, sure, blurays won't be made any longer. But the sky's not falling. Cds and vinyl are still being made, blurays will be for a while too. Probably another 2 decades. They'll get more expensive as time goes on, and become collector's items, but there's enough of a dedicated fanbase to keep them alive. And once they do die, players will almost certainly still be made. All it takes is for a single company to be smart enough to tap that market base.
they released it a couple of years ago as a boxset with all the movies. https://www.amazon.com/Nakatomi-Plaza-Hard-Collection-Blu-ray/dp/B012Z2NO58/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1526512810&sr=8-1&keywords=nakatomi+plaza
If you want a physical copy then just look around pawn shops and and resell stores. You have to be patient due when they actually get things in, and pawn shops usually give you a better deal if you buy in bulk. Digital will defiantly be easier/cheaper though if you are familiar with Ultraviolet. Through programs like VUDU you can upgrade your movies with your computer for pretty cheap. It's $5 to upgrade a DVD to Blu-Ray quality but if you add 10 or more movies at once you get 50% off. So essentially $2.50 to upgrade. There is more info HERE It's what I used to upgrade mine and I am very happy with it.
It's the 4 disc set. It comes with a book, film cell, soundtrack, and its all around beautiful.
Amazon has Silence for $5.96 too. Thought I'd share because I'd been wanting to grab it for awhile now but could never find it for cheap.
Amazon UK has Arrow's Hellraiser Trilogy for £12.99, definitely the lowest price I've ever seen for this. This is Region B so you would need the proper player for it.
A word of warning. I jumped on one of these deals in the past and Amazon sent me this version of the box set which was just a cardboard sleeve holding the three blu-ray cases, with English and French writing on the box.
If you look at the Amazon description it says this is printed on demand. https://www.amazon.com/Dirties-Blu-ray-Matthew-Johnson/dp/B01F7QY9QM. It's in the Important product info blurb right below the price.
I actually love dusting our movie shelves because I get to look at my beloved titles, Funko Pops, etc. So many memories and good associations and reminders of what to watch next!
I’m so glad I discovered these gloves! I never knew such a thing existed until my sister got my mom a pair. Love them! They make dusting so easy!

Same! Prepac Triple Width Barrister Tower. You can find it a couple different places, but Amazon is usually the cheapest, when it's in stock.
Amazon UK has a 5 film 4k UHD Action Collection on sale for £40.00.
If you have a card that does not charge extra fees for paying in a different currency you can save about an extra $2 by paying in GBP instead of USD and pick this up for $50.58 shipped.
According to DVDCompare there's no Australian release. I checked a few Aussie sites (JB Hi-Fi, EzyDVD) and they don't list it either.
The DVDCompare page says all releases are region ALL, except for the US ones which are region A. This means you can probably import it and have no problem playing it. For example, this from Amazon UK. Amazon says it's region B, which UK and Australia both fall under, so I think you should be fine playing it on your player.
I already bought blue planet 2 Blu-ray for $10 at Bestbuy today.
God's of Egypt 4K is $8 at Bestbuy. If anyone would buy it I would buy the digital UHD code off you.
Other sales I saw:.
Game of Thrones 1-7 Blu-ray is ~$75 at Amazon (I already own) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07617BK8N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_O0U9Bb7KM5R8T
Blue planet 2/ planet Earth 2 4K is ~$35 at Amazon

I want to know too
Edit:. Nevermind - looks like I found it:
Dragon Ball Z: Seasons 1-9 Collection (Amazon Exclusive) [Blu-ray] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075KZBHD6/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_i_Mn2QEbH5V8W7S
Lots of TV lately.
The Canadian procedural Endgame. Shawn Doyle is pretty entertaining as a Russian chess master solving crimes.
Caught up on this season of Archer.
Re-Watched Moneyball, Crimson Tide, and Ren & Stimpy Season 1.
Part of the problem with Yami (other than its name which is confusing enough) was that I was watching Kannazuki no Miko at the same time back then. Both star a black-haired girl with an obvious lesbian crush on a blonde-haired girl. Now, I think I vaguely remember the gist of what happened in Yami and the general idea but... I think the first episode or two were put together in a non-chronological telling of events because I'm absolutely confused about that. I also don't remember the ending so a refresher would be nice.

On a personal note, I'm quite looking forward to my copy of TWGoK showing up (if only someone would bring the manga over...).
could never figure out how to get the fancy link format: https://letterboxd.com/Celiac112/
I'm currently at the start of rewatching all the marvel movies in a row before Infinity War, and will be writing my thoughts if anyone is interested. After that I'll be continuing to watch all of Akira Kurosawas films in order of release with some thoughts/information on those as well.
no code = Star Wars Revenge of the Sith apacolypto (not even on vudu)

I've already done it. So I say do it.
Buy the UK edition that has 8 films. It's less than 40 bucks. https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Monsters-Essential-Collection-Blu-ray/dp/B008H45YSO Strangely cheaper than the 6 film edition
Remember the set might go out of print eventually. If it does, and if you're unlucky, the used prices on these things can get ridiculous. Like right now the Friday the 13th Series set on blu ray goes for over 300 used on amazon. I'm a classic and modern horror nut so this makes me want to rise from the dead to take vengeance on my enemies.
You can buy the additional more complete series as they come out, and if they all are announced with release dates, you might be able to sell it used for more than you originally bought it.
If amazon sells bootlegs then it is. I can find a link real quick though. It looks similar to the Zorro and Hardy Boys collections though.
Edit: here’s a link to the amazon page. It seem official but the cover is weird. Disc looks legit as does the back cover.
The Straight Story https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004Z4SD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_iyuoBbMYE0HHG
Especially considering Shout Factory has it on sale at $159.99 down from $199.99, and Amazon has it for $129.99
I have this model. It is a region B player only so you would have to have two players setup. Much cheaper than buying a region free. If you are in the US, I would recommend grabbing the one offered from Amazon Warehouse Deals. It comes out to $81 shipped. The power brick uses a figure 8 cord so you can just swap out the foreign plug for a standard.
My Movies (Android version linked). I've been using this for a couple months based off suggestions here and it's been perfect.
Just got a camelcamelcamel alert, Amazon UK has the X-Files collection region free for £59.99 if anyone's interested.
https://www.amazon.com/Tremors-Complete-Collection-Movie-Blu-ray/dp/B07YTD2PY1

It is on Blu-Ray and Digital. Just keep in mind there is also Shrieker Island, which came out 2 years ago.
You've been added, Sir
One that I've found amusing is known as Shichinin no Nana. The English release title is "Seven of Seven" which is one way of translating it but the original title was a bit of a pun since both "shichinin" and "nana" can refer to seven and the general premise is that the main character, named Nana, gets split into seven copies of herself. Kind of makes the US name a bit nonsensical but it's something I've found amusing.
I guess another amusing English/Japanese title difference that comes to mind is "Working!!", which is the original Japanese title. (Appears to literally be the English word.) But what's the English title? "Wagnaria!!" As out-of-nowhere as that is, it's not completely uncalled for since that's apparently the name of the restaurant but it was still a rather strange transition.

Personally, I've been waiting to get my own copy of ef - a tale of memories for a long time.
I've started with the Maid-sama DVDs I got the other day. Since there aren't a lot of anime series I've seen after I've read and become familiar with the manga, it was definitely a little jarring. This is also the first time I've ever really disliked a (Japanese) VA choice for a role, especially considering it's a Seiyu I'm somewhat familiar with and have liked in other roles.
EDIT: looking at her page, it seems she also does another, slightly more important, character in the show (hasn't shown up yet). Interesting.
Already pre-ordered Futurama Season 6. I didn't realize it was also coming out on Blu-ray but I guess with my budget being borderline thanks to appliance purchasing I suppose it's for the better that I got the DVD version.
There's some interesting new titles coming out in the world of anime that I don't know much about. Already been watching Rosario + Vampire and had a somewhat good idea what that would be like. I wouldn't be surprised if Heaven's Lost Property is similar. I don't know anything about Modern Magic Made Simple but that's a very interesting title.
Then, of course, there's that boxed set version of Elfen Lied. It's unfortunately that it still doesn't appear to have the Elfen Lied Special. Although mentioning that now I guess I really ought to watch that (since I downloaded it years ago.)
I agree that his metric for things is imprecise. I'm not sure that I'd classify the Akira Collector's Tin as "very rare" considering so many used copies are easily available for a reasonable price. Perhaps with the cell it is or I'm looking at an entirely different product.
That said, the anime list is a little disappointing for me because the handful of animations in there that aren't anime (their lists of staff are distinctly non-Japanese and their country of origin is labeled outside of Japan).
That said, they do have an anime I don't have on DVD yet, Twilight of the Dark Master.
Ebay auction that will ship worldwide...if you wanna pay the shipping which looks like $6?
Happy Cake Day! I will give you some karma, LoL. Welcome to the subreddit!
Nice solid DVDs, couple great comedies, couple Criterions... Great start to a good collection.
Free software to keep track of your movies would be MyMovies.
I use My Movies. I love scanning barcodes to get my dvds into my collection, and being able to "check out" movies to friends so I know who has what. I also like how it automatically syncs with my computer.
What is your favorite genre? Action and Comedy
First DVD I ever bought: The hunted way back in 2003. No idea what it was but i figured it would be good to test out my sound surround i had just gotten as a Christmas present. I was right, the movie has really good sound design and it's a great flick.
My guilty pleasure movie is: Commando, though can't say it's really guilty pleasure since i make everyone watch it with me.
My least favorite movie I own is: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I bought it at a pawn shop, just grabbed it with a bunch of others barely paying attention. I thought it was Raiders, what a disappointment.
My favorite director: I can't name one, best i can do it narrow it down to four. Edgar Wright, Coen Brothers, Brian De Palma, John Carpenter.
What release I'm most proud of: Blow out, it's my favorite movie.
What releases I'm looking for: Gone in 60 seconds 2 and all of the best versions of Jackie Chan films. Lots of bad versions out there.
How do you organize & sort your collection? A-Z
Software/app I use to keep track: Movie Collection (Android) and Letterboxd: https://letterboxd.com/doof/list/my-collection/
Amazon has it, but it takes 1-3 weeks, but it's not out until June? No picture, still, but it's there. You already mentioned this, but no idea what the outcome of this is.
Reminds me a lot of Rush Hour trilogy. Didn't believe it until I saw it and bought it. It was delayed couple times (maybe more) and Rush Hour 2 took years to be released in the US. At least it's out now.
Not sure if this was mentioned recently but it looks like Amazon has dropped the price on Terminator 2: Judgment Day Endoarm Collectors Edition 4K by $25.38.
I ended up grabbing it but I may cancel pending if I find any articles before release stating it's just plastic crap or not.
For those interested in the stand, I picked up a set of 6 on Amazon for $9.99. Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XSJ2VCN/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The stands are awesome, they are adjustable, it will accommodate different sizes as needed so it will even work on larger cases.
I've been waiting for this to come back in to stock on Amazon UK. Believe it's the same movies just slightly different packaging. I ordered it once when it was at 12.50 euro and they canceled the dam order on me...it's been out of stock since.
Yes, timing is everything. 7 years ago I had one of my greatest finds ever, on Amazon of all places. I got this for $2.79, someone goofed up on the decimal!
Good news fellow collector! The German release is region free (or actually region a, b and c, which i think is more or less the same as region free), and it's only 12 bucks new on amazon! https://www.amazon.de/13te-Krieger-Blu-ray-Antonio-Banderas/dp/B002LIWBOW/ref=sr_1_1_twi_blu_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1522485340&sr=8-1&keywords=der+13.+krieger

> fulfilled by Amazon as it was a Prime product.
Fulfilled by Amazon may also mean it's sold by a third party. This third party sends the product to Amazon, who fulfills the order when it's made by a customer. These can be Prime orders.
For example, these blu-ray cases are "Sold by Sterling Closeouts and Fulfilled by Amazon.", and it offers Prime. In this case, Sterling Closeouts sent the item to Amazon who stock it in their fulfillment center until the order gets placed.
So in your case, it's very likely that the seller sent fake copies to Amazon, who don't check legitimacy.
Nope. In stock on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Christopher-Nolan-Complete-Collection-Region/dp/B07GFC88N9/ref=sr_1_3_twi_blu_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1539284031&sr=8-3&keywords=christopher+nolan+4k+collection
EDIT: I do see the button where it says "Blu-ray" ... it wouldn't hurt to confirm with Amazon Customer Support that it's not being mixed up somewhere on their back-end
I bought it for cheap on Mercari, but it's on Amazon. Here. It says it's 249.99, but if you want it cheaper, scroll down and you can buy a used one for half the price.
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07GNV288V?tag=bluraycom0c-20
Canadian Amazon but it ships to the UK. Only issue is that there's no chance of getting the lithiograph or poster but if you're not bothered its a good way to go
Hello!
I'm 26 and currently an electrical engineering intern for a Columbus, OH firm. I love music (Tom Waits, The Beach Boys, David Bowie, Dead Kennedys) and I've played guitar for ~10 years now. I also go to a lot of concerts (top 5: David Bowie, The Flaming Lips/Sonic Youth, Morrissey, Broadcast, and Andrew Bird/St. Vincent) and try to fit in video games when I can. My favorite books are The Stand, The Martian Chronicles and Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman! and I enjoy long walks on the beach.
This question gets posted, oh, about a once a month. My answer is always blu-ray.com.
Create a free account on blu-ray.com. Then download their app called My Movies (on iPhone or Android). Then scan the barcodes on your movie cases using your phone's camera. That's it.
You can separate your collection into DVD and Blu-ray. It keeps track of Studios, Directors, Digital Copies, TV Series, # of Discs, Packaging, Runtime, etc.
I use it for iPhone and on their website and I'm never going to use anything paid.
Edit: From looking at other comments, I just want to clarify the link for the free "My Movies" app by blu-ray.com.
iPhone: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/my-movies-by-blu-ray.com/id514571960?mt=8

Welcome to Movie Buyers Anonymous.
Added you to the Map of Collectors.
Hey there everyone! Happy day to you all. Here are my links.
I'm absolutely cool with going off list or used. Just go with whatever feels right!
argh. I'd be interested, but how much would shipping to the US and Australia be? Here's a link to my collection. Let me know if you like anything. I also have a bunch of TV DVDs if you're interested. I'd probably be more willing to part with those.
This is the complete 4 volume release of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2.
As I stated elsewhere, I check the prices for a couple of series that I'd like to get pretty compulsively, and it just so happened that 3 of the volumes were being offered for a good amount less than I normally see them at ($10 for one, two going for a little under $15).
The "Limited Edition" this time is just a bundle with the DVD and Manga, not as deluxe as the goods offered with the first season, but it's still nice to get. Once I pick up the 3rd box of season one, I'll have this show complete.
I've been making slow progress on Baccano! and Wangaria!! (not to be outdone in the exclamation mark department). I really need to watch my exchange movies, but time has been scarce lately. Hopefully tomorrow.
According to my letterboxd account I've watched 55% of my collection. That's 544 out of 973 movies. https://letterboxd.com/vanessa10/list/movies-i-own/ Though I'm very picky about what I buy being good and I watch atleast 4 of my movies a week.
I wouldn't feel too bad haha.
I have the step down model from the one on this deal that i saw today and I absolutely love it - https://slickdeals.net/f/11834003-lg-ubk80-4k-ultra-hd-blu-ray-player-w-hdr-compatibility-99-free-s-h?src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1
HDR10 Support, granted it doesn't have Dolby Vision, but I don't plan on upgrading my 4k tv any time soon
Whether you want 4K or a bigger 1080p screen is up to you. It will be a while before 4K becomes the standard on Blu-Rays, but you will be future proofed buying now. Samsung/LG/Sony/Panasonic are generally good brands I believe? I've had luck with Vizio TVs before as well.
You can grab a 55" 4K Vizio from Costco for $830 at the moment it seems. http://www.costco.com/Vizio-55%22-Class-(55.0%22-Diag.)-4K-Ultra-HD-Smart-LED-LCD-TV-M55-C2.product.100177369.html
Having the money tied up to Costco does limit options, I guess. Especially if you have to buy it in store.
The Social Network Blu-ray is available for $4.99 + tax at Best Buy in-store if you turn in a DVD at customer service and $9.99 + tax in-store or online if you don't. ;)
Best Buy is also releasing a steelbook in the US
I suppose I could let the prices do the talking with this one, but the movie is long out of print, and Evangelion is a highly popular and collected series.
It's certainly not the rarest Anime DVD out there, but It's something that I'm quite pleased to be able to have in my collection.
Fun anime fact regarding Hellsing Ultimate. From Wikipedia:
> Seras's weapons are named after the main antagonist of Frank Herbert's novel Dune, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen. This is further reinforced by the appearance of the gun's "spirit" during dream sequences in the manga (and thus OVA) and episode previews in the anime; the spirit in question bears a strong resemblance to Baron Harkonnen from David Lynch's film adaptation of the novel.
And the secret word is Romance
Kimi ni Todoke is something I've had pre-ordered for a while. It's a rather slow developing series, to the point that I actually stopped watching it about midway through so I could cheat and read ahead in the manga. That actually didn't work out as well as I'd hoped though because the manga is rather slow as well, and hadn't been translated up to the point where there was any sort of romantic resolution. It should be nice to visit this series again, though the unviewed material probably lies in the 2nd volume. This is the first 13 episodes of the first series, there is a 13 episode 2nd series as well.
Maid-sama is something I've read recently, so while the anime is technically something I haven't seen yet, I at least know what I'm getting into. The two volumes contain the entire 26 episode series. This was something I'd ordered during a holiday sale that just got fulfilled.
To be honest, if I were the sort of person who would break my pattern of waiting for it to come out on DVD, I'd have downloaded and watched Madoka a long time ago. I mean, as much praise as I sing for The Walking Dead, to me it still fails to hold a torch to my favorite anime and I'm expecting Madoka to join those ranks.
Oh man. I remember watching this blindly thinking it was a kids animated film. How wrong I was but also very happy to have stumbled on this. Great film.

If you’re a Pro or Patron user, please join me in trying to convince Letterboxd to add features for collectors like a wishlist and collection, analogous to the watchlist and watched. It’s so clunky having to manage a regular collection list and wishlist, especially removing films from one to place on the other.
Im quite new to it myself but have been reviewing most of what I watch. Some are more in-depth than others but its a good creative outlet for me, love it haha
A list of movies included in Volumes 1 through 7 can be seen here: https://letterboxd.com/andredominguez/list/versatil-home-video-film-noir-collection/
I'm kinda hoping these will make it to other countries... like Mexico. Cough cough.
The lowest price that it's been?
Probably in a camelcamelcamel report on it, but I'm not near a computer to confirm
EDIT: here's the camelcamelcamel report
Since it's a warner bro movie and moviesanywhere compatible, you should be able to get the entire collection using VUDU D2D and pay $2 for each movie. If you have VUDU connected and itunes connected in moviesanywhere, it should port to every services connected, but that system is not the best right now.
moviesanywhere: https://moviesanywhere.com/explore
PS, these works for US, not sure about Canada though
I'll be providing Updates as comments I suppose so its easy to notice the changes...
Best Buy has the Lord of the Rings Blu-Ray Collection for 39.99 as a deal of the day today both in stores and online.
Nice pickups! Season 4 is also available for $24.99 + tax at Best Buy, which is ~$16 cheaper than Amazon (currently).
If you can scrape $60 together BestBuy has this little wonder. It can be region-free modded and coverts PAL/50hz content to NTSC/60hz.
I was wondering if "City Hunter" had any relation to the anime of the same name. Sounds like it's a remake of it. Interesting.
If you want to fix the formatting issue, put blank lines between your paragraphs. Otherwise, I see you've posted the image of your collection here. :)
I think the only thing to move me to needing tissues to watch is Clannad After Story (the second season of Clannad).
I do get pretty teary-eyed watching a lot of other things, though. I recall Grave of the Fireflies leaving me feeling kind of depressed overall.
It's kind of cheating but Interstella 5555.
Otherwise, I'm not sure what anime movies would be interesting to just listen to. Hmmm...
It may be a bit daunting task, but you might like Monster. It doesn't dip into the fantasy element that D/N has but even though I haven't seen it myself, it's so well regarded it's the first thing that comes to mind when I hear mystery/thriller.
A snippit from a review: >Monster plays out like a macabre game of cat and mouse in a world that is frighteningly similar to real life. Uncomfortable subjects such as coercive human conditioning and the psychology of the sociopath, morality issues regarding the origin of evil and the value of human life, are horrifyingly, yet engagingly, realized. The protagonist, Dr. Tenma, struggles to fix that which is so remorsefully broken in his world. Monster is a chilling tale rooted in reality, a far cry from the superpowers and supernatural forces found in more detached fantasy series.
Though it is not...readily available in the traditional formats enjoyed in this subreddit (at least not beyond the first 15 episodes).
Evangelion was the first thing that came to mind for me as well. Also glad that the other two titles you thought up were different from the two I thought up. Between the two of us, we should have a decent anime representation. :)
Kino's Journey is definitely worth mentioning because, despite the portrayal, it really is more of a philosophical journey.
Hetalia also came to mind but, as history and geography are among my weak subjects, I'm not sure if it's particularly brilliant or simply amusing. All I know is what it is ; a show where characters are countries and their activities depict, in some form, the interaction between countries.
To be fair, there's not much very Halloween~ish in anime... heck, I think watching Oreimo last night was maybe the first time I've seen an anime mention the holiday. (And it wasn't the central point of the episode.)
Also, your anime expert doesn't believe in making recommendations. Especially for anime which can be pretty expensive. Over in r/anime we're talking about the pricing for the February release of Madoka. Looks like it's going to be a three volume release for a 12 episode series and the pricing for the first volume is $30 for the DVD, $40 for the BR, and $75 for the L.E. BR. (This is not the MSRP.)
(And that's cheap compared to the prices in Japan for the same series which is selling at a similar price per release but only half as many episodes per volume.)
That said, I've been meaning to post about anime that exist on the edge of the anime definition. Might be more interesting content to talk about in this forum of mostly non-anime individuals.
AmRadio67 will be leaving after the Bonus contest winner is named, so I will be using Random.org's List Randomizer to determine the winner of the main contest. The usernames of every person that enters will be randomized three times. The username in the number 1 spot after the third randomization will be declared the winner. Good luck everyone!
Edit: Mosefinadiablo and Fantasytimmy are previous winners of AmRadio67's contests so they are both ineligible to win the main contest this time.
I don't own it, but I have seen it in stores - it's the standard current Criterion packaging (semi-transparent case). You can see an image of it in this ebay auction (First place I found a user image instead of the standard image).
I agree with Molax, his works are very well respected. Recently the r/anime forum watch one of his earlier works, Lupin the 3rd: The Castle of Cagliostro and I believe people in general enjoyed it (although there's a slight possibility that could be me projecting.)
In general, the movies he directs rate VERY highly on every anime database I've seen.
First, make sure you're using the latest firmware for your PS3. If you are, contact Amazon's customer support. They really are fantastic and might (probably) send you another copy to try.
