The 1975, this is just one of their unreleased songs played live
Album: I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It Release Date: February 26th
From Rolling Stone: Judging by advance singles "Love Me" and "Ugh!" Manchester rockers the 1975 have mined funky Eighties hitmakers like Peter Gabriel, Terence Trent D'Arby and Prince for their second studio album. "[The Eighties were] a time where technology came into play vastly. It was a forward-thinking time, and trying to capture the ethos of that time without being over-referential, in like a pastiche, is something that we wanted to do."
Yes man, they are all downloadable at my Reverbnation page: http://www.reverbnation.com/theweirdsentimental?profile_view_source=header_icon_nav
(I'm extremely flattered by the way, thank you very much)
He also released a mixtape called Choppped and Scrooged where he let rappers (and not just some rappers, some pretty big rising ones like Kitty Pryde and Das Racist, even if they are now broken up) rap over chopped and screwed versions of some of these songs. It's a pretty cool experiment.
I like this site called indie shuffle there are just a lot of good random songs on it. But I also used to use 8tracks it is a lot of user generated playlists, I liked it because it was cool to hear what other people were listening to on a playlist.

Colin Nealis, apparently.
Edit: should probably have posted this link for the credits instead, so you can buy the thing if you dig it. I certainly did:
I would like to share a new (young) singer/songwriter artist to this group. His name is Luke Potter. He's from the UK. Last week he just released a new video called "One Day". On January 14, 2013, he will be releasing an EP with another new video around that time. He already has seven videos on Youtube [http://www.youtube.com/user/LukePotterMusic/videos?view=0&flow=grid] and about 20 songs on SoundCloud [https://soundcloud.com/lukepottermusic]. A lot of people comment on his voice.
What do you think?
My friends brother in-law released this stuff back in 1999 or 2000 and from what I can tell, I am the first person to download any of these tracks. I feel like it was so far ahead of its time in musical style, kind of post-rock with drone incorporated.
Here's the rest of the stuff! https://archive.org/details/iuma-josh_wilton
Here is a link to my solo project. I write, record, produce all the music myself. I put a lot of work into this project and its my passion. I make no money off of it right now, but I could start to if I keep getting people into my stuff. I just need plays right now. check out this song, or any of the songs I have on this page. You can download my first EP for free at relicradiation.com

Eh, I'm not really feeling it. Mainly because it's so different from their original stuff, not that that's necessarily a bad thing.
On the other hand, I'm hoping more of their stuff sounds like Best Friend. Love it!
I consume most music through spofity and youtube. Spofity has a cool discover weekly feature where I can find new music, and youtube normally has some solid recommended videos for bands that i listen to.
Alternatively, there is a website called TasteDive that will give you recommendations based on what artist or band you type in (I think the site was created by a fellow redditor as well)
As far as Americana/Country type stuff, I'd like to humbly recommend one of my favorite artists Chuck Ragan - For Broken Ears.

Hopefully this will help in your search for new music.
No, they have a full album called Swimming Through Sunlight. I got mine through Zune, but yeah I can't seem to find it online which is weird... Here it is on amazon but it is out of stock currently.
Edit: nevermind found it here: https://play.spotify.com/artist/5anWYyYThjZ0mrkhjIIe80
