I'm doing PS only as a hobby and honestly never did any restore stuff.. But that's what I did so far... Are the small white dots on the upper left corner bothering you or is it okay like this? https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=E46A4A3B4883E2AC!3259&authkey=!AMajFF3xXD5KJj0&ithint=folder%2cjpg
I didn't have too much time, but this is a quick effort. Sorry if the jackets/ shirts whatever they are are discolored, but leaving them black seemed a little... boring. I also skipped the people in the back. Good? I can do them to if you want. Anyway, this is what I did in a few minutes: link.
I'm by no means a Photoshop pro, and this is by no means my best work. Rather than take a lot of time on one picture I just kind of did a fast and kind of sloppy job on 5 different pictures & uploaded them to an album
Here's a high res .png 2200x1800 pixels with transparent background.
I will upload a vector file and post here.
EDIT: Here's the vector in pdf format. You may compensate me whatever you wish if you liked it, I have paypal.
Holy shit, has anybody looked at this guy's post history...
Gregory, you've never thrown anybody here a dollar for their 5 minutes of photoshop on your behalf and you know it.
Have you possibly considered the outlandish notion of investing a handful of hours into yourself on a Sunday afternoon with a computer and Gimp to save yourself the embarrassment of always returning here with your hand out? You some kinda librul? Ain't you got no bootstraps, Graggery?
Bitmap vs Vectors.
Pictures that you see most of the time (jpg, png etc...) are bitmaps, meaning they consist of pixels in a matrix.
Pictures using vectors are more mathematical, they consist of paths, which can take the form of lines, shapes or even curves (Bézier curves).
And here's what is great about these paths. Since you define only the edges, such as the two extremities of a line, multiplying numbers and coordinates outputs a larger line, without any loss.
On the other end, an enlarged bitmap picture would have to fill the missing pixels with what it can, often leading to these ugly "pixelated" photos.
Now, we talk about vectorizing when transforming a bitmap to a vector, the idea is then to enlarge it without loss. As you can probably guess, this isn't a magic "enhance" method, mainly because the real life doesn't include many mathematically friendly lines and shapes.
How can you vectorize ? Two choices really.
Redraw all lines of an image yourself. This will gives the best result on simple images, but it's not always easy or even possible to do so.
Use a software to do the vectorizing for you. However this may lead to a result a bit cartoon-y. The more quality in the initial image, the better the result.
Photoshop isn't really good with vectors, Adobe created Illustrator for these. I personally use Inkscape, it's free and powerful enough.
Always glad to help out a fellow shopper :)
Here's a very quick hi res one, it could be improved upon a bit but I'm on my way out right now so if you need touch ups let me know and I'll do it once I'm back.
The pen tool can be a pain to use sometimes but it's an essential skill to know, as it is one of the most powerful tools in PS. Enjoy.
EDIT: Vector in pdf format
I first made some restorations: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2yjzavnbf8gznxh/Ralph%20Bennett1.jpg
then played around with the exposure and contrast of the image: https://www.dropbox.com/s/62ilyeluirhrr0w/Ralph%20Bennett2.jpg
Maybe someone else can colourise for you?
Copy and paste the picture into the program.
hit Z to be able to click and zoom in until it's easy to see all the details of the outline of your cat.
hit L twice to get the Polygonal Lasso (and from now on to switch to it, it'll only be 1 L because it's now active) and then click on points around the outline of the cat to trace the shape of your cat.
When you're done the line around what you drew will become a black and white dotted line, showing you have selected it successfully. If it does not, doubleclick at your last point and it'll finish the line out for you.
CTRL+C to copy your selection. CTRL+V to paste it into a new layer by itself.
Open up another image by copy and pasting it into the program.
Go find that layer of just the outline of your cat, on the right hand side. it'll say LAYER 1 or something. Right click the picture of it (it'll mostly have white and grey squares for a background in the thumbnail) and SELECT PIXELS.
CTRL+C to copy it to your clipboard, switch over to the new image you want to put it in and CTRL+V to paste it in. It'll have that same outline around it still.
V to get the move tool to drag it around. CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+T to transform it, making it resizable by clicking in one of the corners and dragging it in or out to make it bigger or smaller. hold SHIFT to maintain the aspect ratio while you drag.
Top left FILE>EXPORT>JPG to save it as an image.
You just successfully photoshopped.
Using erasers or pen tools or taking your time with the lasso will make it a better outline. It's like cutting out things from magazines and laying them on top of other things to make a picture. There are way more advanced things you can do, and there are videos to find out how to do them using youtube.
Or if you don't have a computer there are alternatives for doing this on a phone.
Here is the folder, I used mangal bold @154px (I didn't have Helvetica but this is close) and I spaced them by hand to make it fit, hope you like them.
Okay, I have all of the images broken up into quadrants and re-sized, if you have Microsoft word I can give you a doc or docx of the proper size printouts or the link to all of the images is below:

I'm not very good at sci fi things
Edit: as requested, spaceship deleted
First off, couldn't help but notice a little motion blur out of your car window while you were taking this photo.. shhammeee
Here's a .jpg and a dropbox link for the .psd. I used the magic erase tool from your second image to get started then just a few quick run over some edges with the standard erase tool. If you need a hand with the stencil too let me know, I might be able to lend a hand.
Here you go, removed your cock and the rest of the graffiti and made the photo a touch brighter.

Okay, uploading. It'll be about two minutes. I'll just edit this comment.
I started to do more, like clean up the wrinkles and stuff, but my program's messing up at the moment and making errant brush-strokes. so for now, this is all you'll get from me. Maybe I can do more tomorrow or Wednesday, if I get this bug fixed.
EDIT: Here you go.
Well this map is quite big, but enjoy · Regular · with Shadow
This makes me miss our irish terrier, Kelsey.
Also, the first one was just big enough for imgur, http://i.imgur.com/kgGdzMa.jpg
And the second was just too big for imgur. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rsrkrzrhrj2s9f1/dog2.png
I really took my time on this request, Here is the folder with everything. Original image I used, after image Vector, and the 1080x1920 Image for SnapChat. :D enjoy!!

Dropbox link cause imgur was going to compress it too much. I'll keep it in there for a few days.
Here's an imgur mirror for posterity.
Basically I used the automerge and then 2 generous applications of the distortion tool in the Lens Correction filter. Then, liberal use of patching and cloning to fill in transparent areas rather than cropping.
bah: i just saw the little artifact on the horizon/hill at the seam. if it bothers you, i'll fix it and reupload everything, or since you have photoshop you can just do a quick spot heal or something on the misalignment.
(its around 58MB so I used my Dropbox to upload)
Here is an imgur link for those who don't want to download the full res 58MB file.
Ok, here it is. despite what it looks like, I did add some color to the plane in the background. I really tried to upload to Imgur, but it wasn't working. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=dcu1ac&s=6
Took a long time to make but I hope you like it :) the Image and the Download link
I think this one looks alright
It's hosted on 4shared, to prevent unnecessary processing by Imgur. The background still looks okay and there are no weird color changes; I also reduced the noise a bit.
Tip: Opening a .jpeg as a RAW file in Photoshop always does wonders
Love this photo! What a beautiful couple you make. I know I'm late to the party but I wanted to give it my own try. Left you both a note in the tree.

Here's both a white and a transparent background version, you can't see the transparent one because imgur has a black theme, click on top right corner.
And here's a vector file in pdf format.
Here's a preview of what I've done and here's the vector file in pdf format.
Hope that helps, and congratulations to both of you.
EDIT: Oops, didn't see the part where it needs to be 2x4". I can get it fixed if you are happy with the way it looks in the preview. EDIT2: All fixed now :)
What you need to do is get these scanned at a higher dpi and make it available for us to look at/work with. I definitely see some potential in the one with both your grandparents in it, but a measly 536x738 pixel image is simply not enough to even start working with. And when you have scanned them at a higher dpi (high as possible), saved the raw files and then zipped them. Upload them to a host which does not compress them. From the top of my head; http://www.filedropper.com/
I uploaded it on 4shared so the resolution and quality of the pic will remain the same
Nothing is wrong with the design ...color however...here are the most powerful colors in the world, I hope this helps! http://www.colourlovers.com/business/blog/2010/09/15/the-most-powerful-colors-in-the-world
Amazon Link to the mugs and a photo comparison of the mugs. Its called a Waechtersbach Smiley Face Mug
HERE is a link to download mine. I cut everything out, put in the slight fade to white in the background, and made it transparent for easy use.
It's a different image size, but I didn't reduce the size of the pokemon and the fade doesn't get cut off by the edges of the picture.
Hope you like it.

Text white or text black? Edit: I tried both, sorry if you don't like them, I'm new to photoshop and there is probably a much easier method than what I used :) white writing (also has white border) and black writing I just inverted the colours for the second one. If you like the look of them I can try to make them look a bit less rough :)
heres a psd with a quick do up of what im sure I did, prior to tweaking details etc, http://www.filedropper.com/tzu3hiw7 might help you figure it out on your own might not, but im not sure how else to explain
So I'm done? Tell me if there's anything you'd like changed, I'll give you the full map (Ziped) with the psd but I'll also give you a link to imgur with just the picture for a preview.

Wow, that's interesting!
It also seems to capture an amused expression, which is fascinating.
The upper parts of the eyelids might need shading, though; I doubt she had an epicanthic fold.
You should post this to the original thread on /r/history (link).
If you really want a high quality pic and go about this legally, you can get the image here. Looks like Shutterstock has a free trial where you get ten free images, so you might be able to use that, but i've never tried it.
Fixed pic as best as I could.
I am only assuming, and I apologize if I am wrong, your mother must have her leg against the wall, which threw me off when i first glanced. so I gave you an option :)
be Well
No one has posted this one yet so: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2skgbNzwCrhejVuMVBURFV5TnM/edit?usp=sharing
And here is the same one with color: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2skgbNzwCrhNnUtZ05EbTBqUHM/edit?usp=sharing
Not sure if this helps, but I made it into a vector (download it to view it properly) and rendered a fairly high-res version. Depending on how the shirt is manufactured, a vector might work better for printing.
EDIT:By the way, I love that drawing.
I am not sure if I did this right, but I am giving it a shot: Dropbox location. I never would have thought that Imgur strips data, thank you for the tip.
Alright, I wasn't sure how visible you'd want it so I figured I'd start subtle and move up as requested. I'm having to use Dropbox now, because Imgur is compressing the image.
It's now at 50% opacity, where-as it was originally at 25%.
BUT if you could upload a scan of the top two at twice the dpi with as much bit depth as possible and upload it as a .BMP to a file hosting site such as Google docs or whatever I think some detail may be preserved.
Otherwise you may have to take it to a professional scanner and possibly have it scanned at full bit depth or some I think do full spectrum scans which should help.
It depends, if you’re using it for commercial use or anything that involves money, than you’ll need to find free to use images (unless you wanna front the cost😛).Creative Commons is a great resource for free to use images. If it’s for something personal, than you should be able to use do whatever.
Here you are, I didn't bother removing the vignettes cause photoshop kept crashing on me in the file size. Hopefully someone else can do a better job for ya. 140mb tif file

I'm not sure if I did the dropbox thing right. The AI file is just a stroke so you can edit the fill. I made it a little smoother in case you weren't going for the scratchy look.I'll be bored for the next couple of hours if you want anything changed. Lines straighten, colors, whatever.

I did the best i could. If you look, i cleaned up her dress and his suit and the specs all around them. Hope you like it and im very sorry for your loss..
Wow thanks for doing these! It's always interesting to see if a logo works at such small scales. I'm a little concerned that the pen graphic just looks like a line crossing out the blue run icon. Im not sure how you could avoid that. I might just use the blue play icon for the small icon.
EDIT: I have made a slightly different small icon which keeps the same theme as the large logo but looks better at a small scale. You can see an example of it in context here: https://github.com/mchr3k/org.intrace/raw/master/binaries/images/icon_context.jpg
Awesome; The rights are all yours if you throw me <strong>SOME FUNDS</strong> and PM me with something I can link to once you get things up and running.

You don't need all the latest and nifty features of Adobe Illustrator. Go buy a used license for a couple of bucks on Craigslist or learn Inkscape, a powerful, free design tool.
I went to a snoop concert held at my university once...
The pre-snoop performers were all bad. One guy got Booed.
Snoop showed up 2 and a half hours late for his set and about a third of the audience has left.
The show was still ok kuz I was high as fuck :-P

Please understand this is the third and last time I'm working on this picture, by now I feel like I know your fish better than the ones in my own tank.
In any event min.us is down right now so the file has been uploaded here instead, enjoy.
Allright.

these are the 3 .tif versions i have in a .rar file. hope they are useful. I have a very crappy monitor so i have no idea how it comes out as a print.

Absolutely PERFECT, my friend! Thank you so much!
Do you have time for one more, while you're at it? Same thing, just different pose, haha.
https://pixeldrain.com/u/eH3uprdf
If you don't have time I am still grateful for you fixing that first one!
Oh my goodness! I've only just realized imgur drastically capped the resolution! I hate to do this, but is there any chance that if I directly send the file over say, mediafire, that you'd be able to replicate this? I'm so sorry to ask this!!
On the off chance that you could, the link to such a file would be here: https://www.mediafire.com/?xdiedqencauip6o
If not, it's cool, but it'd be amazingly appreciated.

here it is uncompressed and zipped. http://www.filedropper.com/panorama
Only thing I didn't really fix is the computer display. You could recreate that and paste it in if you want.
Here's an offline version of the webpage, you can open it in your browser and scroll through it if you like. I changed the name and image. some things don't work offline like advertisements and whatnot. I didn't change the anchor tag so if you click the sammy j button, you'll still go to the old actor's profile. Look don't touch :)

So sorry to hear about that, I'm deeply sorry for your loss. For enhancing low-quality images, I'd recommend letsenhance.io. It takes no work on your part, you just upload an image and let it do its thing...
download AndreaMosaic - it's a program that creates a mosaic and you can input any images you want, and fine tune the settings. So easy to use and very userfriendly.
I am probably being a moron, but I have no idea how to go about posting a semi-transparent png... This what you meant?
EDIT - Saved it as interlaced, whatever the hell that means, and it seems to have done the trick. :) http://imgur.com/Hprly
This would be an ideal job to do yourself with an online image editor like https://pixlr.com/editor/.
Use the eraser, like in paint, or draw around the bit you don't want with the lasso tool and press delete. Then save it. 30 seconds - 1 minute max.
Definitely a bit technical, but installing imageMagick would allow you to set up a fully automated solution pretty quickly.

Looks good & looks just like him even though it's just lines (which is perfect for tracing it with a marker so the image will bleed through). Thanks a lot for doing that. I made this with the other 2 faces, so now there's all 3 faces to pick from. I sent her a message explaining where I'm at & that if I use her dad's face it will still look like a coin but maybe not be recognizeable as a dime & I left it up to her. Either way, I just hope I'm good enough at 3D wood carving to make it STILL look like him when I'm done. After all that time and detail on the other side (which I thought would be the most difficult), now the pressure is on to not screw up. If I do, I just might have to kick my own ass, Fight Club style.
Well then, welcome to the club. Now you can customise what you see on the frontpage by using this button to subscribe to (or un-subscribe from) the subreddits of your choosing so you see more of what you want and less of what you don't. Most people don't seem to live by this (besides the awesome folks at /r/trees), but I recommend giving upvotes out like free candy on Halloween and taking downvotes seriously and giving them sparingly (only when they're most deserved and contribute nothing to the conversation). I also try to remember to upvote anyone and everyone who takes the time to fulfill a request (here, on /r/favors, or anywhere else) even if it's not my request and I'm just browsing around, because those random helpful people are the ones that deserve it the most and usually get the least (typically only 1 to 3)
If you download Paint.net http://www.getpaint.net/index.html (it's free) and then paste the logo as a "new layer" and then under the "Layers" tab choose "Layers Properties" and then under "Mode" choose "Multiply" and it does it for you. It's about a 30 second process at most.

Sure,
I tried to use the auto-vectorize tool, but small images like this make really lumpy results.
If you lived in Tennessee I would just do a photoshoot for you, everyone needs to have a few pictures that they feel sexy as hell in. Congrats on the recent weight loss!
Well, not photoshopped. But there is free software that would allow you to apply filters to get, say, better contrast, richer colors, sharper, etc..
But you won't be able to increase the resolution, though. You got what you got.
Try <strong>VirtualDub</strong> for free ............

The colors are saturated on purpose because you always lose some due to the printing process.
