That art and font looks like it's based on the books by Jeffrey Brown. Specifically Goodnight Darth Vader.
They are. A lot! ~~https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-topps-company?trk=job_view_topcard_company_name~~

I'd sure hope so, but judging from their job listings and such, they don't have any real clue about how any of that works.
That's why you need one of these :)

Dev here. The game is also on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.clay.kittencards and like lightmanx5 mentioned, in the browser https://kittencards.clay.juegos.
Happy to answer any questions, but email () or the Kitten Cards subreddit (/r/kittencards) is best for that.
Yup :/ if you look at the tranmission in a browser rather than in the app, the timestamp is GMT-0.
In the app, it's EDT, and not local. EDT is GMT-4 and later EST will be GMT-5, I believe.
We discuss our SWCT collections, plus an app by app discussion of the other Topps trading apps.
Also, first mention of the new Star Trek digital cards from the Quidd app. SUBSCRIBE, and leave a review please, thanks!

If you're on Android install Google Opinion Rewards. You answer surveys and get a little bit of money, I've used it specially for getting Master Access (when needed) and just recently, bought a S3 Preview variant with that credit.

On twitter I saw this job posting mentioned, which at least shows on some level that they realize it's a view they're lacking.
"WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Economist At Heart. You very likely have a Major or Minor in Economics and are personally fascinated by the study and application of markets, pricing, and human economic behavior. * Statistics, Modeling, and Econometrics. You are quantitative, plain and simple. You can sift through mountains of data to find relationships, and then use these relationships as insights to optimize the merchandising of digital objects."

IMO Parm's post here should be required reading for whomever they hire, to get up to speed on the effect Topps current pricing/sales strategy has on at least one huge spender.
For what it's worth Topps is hiring an "associate digital artist" for one of their apps. It says it's an app for a globally branded animated series. I can't think of an animated series app they have so it could be so they don't name SW.
One thing is see is it looks like the team is just the AD and designer. Whether this is for SWCT or not the structure is probably similar. So there is some unnamed AD that is making bad calls.
not sure this gives any info but it is interesting to me to get a look at what the team may be based on the posting. I'm guessing they hire really junior folks to do a lot of crap in a short time with unseasoned ADs. There also doesn't seem to be a Topps Digital CD or someone looking across apps as far as art. A lot of that is speculation of course. I'm just on the train and don't feel like reading my book.
I think it all depends on how many images exist in the source art. In the case of reflections, the artist is Christian Waggoner, and a brief internet search reveals at least a dozen variations with reflections in visors, helmets, sensors, and skins.
With that many options available (licensing agreements can always dwindle that number), it would make sense to make Reflections a ten or eleven week chase set with at least one award card.
Interestingly enough, there's an Argentine artist that's done a similar idea, but executed a little differently.

Here is a link which goes into more detail about the EU set for The Journey to the Force Awakens. Be careful cuz EU and US sets are completely different, and the EU misses out on the valuable good stuff. http://hubpages.com/games-hobbies/Topps-UK-Star-Wars-Journey-to-the-Force-Awakens-A-Collectors-Guide
they may have removed the MAC version since it had so many issues, but this is the one I've been using for a while... not as good as the windows version though... if you have bootcamp or parallels then I'd suggest using that to run the windows version instead...

EDIT: seems this is the newer version... I'd try this one first... http://bluestacks-app-player.soft32.com/
I believe this is an example of a "card" stored locally as some sort of JSON (?) object.
Hello All,
I have a few thousand unopened Star Wars 2015 Topps Packs. I believe its this on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Force-Awakens-trading-cards-Topps/dp/B01CC5FMJO
I'm guessing there isn't much value in these right? What would be the best way to get rid of them?
is anybody willing to buy an extra on the yellows? I'll be going to Shenzhen on Thursday and the hotel i stay might work better. I will payback. I am missing the Chewbacca one. My VPN Torguard worked for 1 day but now it's not working again so I got the Leia Wicket Yellow. Just needing help on the Chewbacca and future ones.
As stocking stuffers this past Christmas, I gave my girls this round Chewbacca stuffed animal / furry ball thing (this thing https://www.amazon.com/Hallmark-Star-Chewbacca-Fluff-Ornament/dp/B014HIEN76 ). Meanwhile, my wife threw in some lollipops in the stockings. Lollipops win. I don't think they have picked up those fuzzy Chewies at all :(
Of my childhood toys, I only saved the Legos and GI Joes. No Star Wars, unfortunately. I guess I'll just have to buy new ones for them when they're a little older!
On guy says it's in a pop-up book called "Han Solo's Rescue".
https://www.amazon.com/HAN-SOLOS-RESCUE-Star-Wars/dp/0394861124
found it;
5 or 6th picture.
edit 2: Don't know how to hyperlink on reddit. super sorry.
Got a notification of the new set so I thought I'd check it out.
$100 for crappy digital images when I can buy the original posters for $50?
Glad I quit playing. Guess it's time to uninstall.
Hey guys, is this the Hobby Box? Seems like it with 24 packs, but I have no idea... http://www.amazon.com/Topps-Awakens-Parallels-Autographs-Printing/dp/B01D8V6DE4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1459285734&sr=8-3&keywords=the+force+awakens+topps+series+2
> Folks who are trying to recreate the actual culture of trading cards, opening packs, rarity of cards, the adrenaline of pulling a high demand card.
Can you get a pack of cards IRL for free?
> The guaranteed packs backdoor this whole concept and as a side-effect, reduces the exclusivity and reward of pulling a rare card.
You can buy boxes of cards IRL that have guaranteed cards in them. Not quite the same as getting 1 particular Vintage ... but you're still getting 1 of x Special cards.
The Amazon Fire tablets are decent and the prices are rock bottom.
Note--you'll probably want the "non special offers" version--that's $65
I FOUND THIS AT WAL MART LAST NIGHT, MY GIRLFRIEND WAS VERY HAPPY WITH ME
If I was buying this is what I'd be rolling the dice on. One big hit like the triple sig or the 1:1 printing plates can pretty much pay off the box, if you get lucky. You might end up spending that on packs over the course of weeks at Target, Walmart etc... and never get a shot at the primo inserts. If you're going to drop money of physical cards give yourself the best chance at the best cards.
sidenote: pretty sure that most of these new scans were lifted from the companion volume covering the original trilogy, or perhaps from the illustrated screenplay, the making of star wars, and/or the original art of star wars?
http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Storyboards-Original-Trilogy/dp/1419707744/ref=pd_bxgy_14_img_y
I am sure most of you have seen this $10 book. In it are tons of Ralph paintings. There are lots of good images still to use, and I am guessing wave 2 will start shortly after wave 1 award:
http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Adventures-Skywalker-Knight/dp/1484706684
widevision also would have been cooler if they'd extended the aspect ratio of the image to respect the original frame, and if they'd used better/more recent blu-ray still-frames. as is, there's some wonky PShop work on, say, the twin sunset card, as well as a few others, and all the text and design frame elements compete with the image itself for visual attention/clarity.
kind makes me miss the old topps widevision cards, which were extended and relatively clean.
seems like thanks to star wars: frames, better still-frames should be available in the licensing pool from lucasfilm?
http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Frames-George-Lucas/dp/1419704702
though i have heard that the quality of images in that book, due to motion blur and the limitations of 35mm, is not consistently comparable to still photos or unit photography . . .
I've thought about collecting the classic cards, but really my physical collecting is all about Magic the Gathering. I do think I'll by the cool book when it comes out though.
I used 79p in google reward credit and got the green in the first master pack (after nothing in 3 normal packs). If you are Android I would suggest it, very simple surveys, they don't show up often but when they do, the money can be saved and used in any Android app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.paidtasks&hl=en_GB
If the droids have been working like the Story Cards did, then your calculations are correct. I haven't been opening any, just got the first two oranges, only before I found out how this set really works.
If the teal and pink odds do not stack, it is 1/25 for the color, then 1/8 for the card that you want. If you need that last card, it is a 0.5% chance (half of one percent!!)
If they do, stack, then the math I used for the oranges would apply. (1/25)*8= 32% for a teal or pink. 64% for any insert out of the free packs. 84% out of the master packs, for any insert.
Edit: one way to tell if the odds are stacked for teals and pinks is to see if someone got more than one insert, excluding orange, in a pack. Example: 1x pink droid #1, 1x pink droid #2, rest base.

The option is there, but it doesn't work. I submitted a 1-star app review this morning:
"Whatever you think you've done to fix Tapjoy doesn't work and is obviously different from how it was integrated before. Credits are not being awarded and offers I'd completed previously are being shown again, indicating there is no proper connection to my SWCT account and/or previous Tapjoy 'account.'"
I already got a response indicating they working on the issue and hope to have it fixed this week.
