After a little googling, it seems like a sex position app/game created by someone named Bi Cheng.
http://appshopper.com/lifestyle/love-position-the-ultimate-sex-position-app
Assuming this is the same one.
The game is X-Men and it's only ever been commercially sold. I got to reinstalling some games on a new Iphone and discovered their later updates added this energy and ads bullshit. It's been awhile since I bought it but I'm contemplating demanding a refund from Itunes since they made the game unplayable.
It isn't even the only one they are ripping off Minecraft for either: Craft - Built Terrain HH and non-HD.
Also Zanda.
This is disgustingly lazy.
Yes. Here’s an example:
http://appshopper.com/productivity/pages
The updated it September 19, 2014, the exact day of release of the iPhone 6/6 Plus. This update included support for 6/6 Plus at native resolutions.
Those are... actually.... all the same developer... Seriously, ... is about all I can say. I mean, Zanda: Linked Swords? Ooooh man does Nintendo have a just lawsuit laid out cleanly for them.
But not one, but TWO Minecraft things that use screenshots that I've actually seen on r/minecraft as their game. XD LOL.
Also, Sushi Ninja, LAWL.
As an iOS user, I rarely want to check out top and trending charts partly because like you mentioned, popular apps aren't always of the highest quality.
Instead, App Store has amazing featured curations based on different categories and themes that gets updated quite frequently. Browsing through these is a much easier and better way to discover new apps compared to top charts.
Ability to get apps while limit-time-free is absolutely awesome. It's not just the weekly free, though. With sites like AppShopper, I've been snatching free or greatly discounted apps and games since forever.
All changes (new, updates, price changes): http://appshopper.com/all/
Only discounted apps: http://appshopper.com/all/prices/
App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/app/appshopper-social/id602522782
No-go zones are no problem with the new app. I highly recommend the premium version so you don't have to watch an ad before it warns you of your impending death.
There's an app called AppShopper that does exactly what you want.
I believe you can sort by all sorts of categories, sale prices, savings amounts, etc.
Quite a nice app. :)
Edit: Oops! You asked for a site, not an app! I guess the AppShopper website kinda does what you want? It's the same people, just a different interface I suppose!
The problem is you can't only allow mobile apps from one source, it's not fair to other retailers/app makers. Go to a site like AppShopper and you'll see how many app deals there can be, and that's only for iOS.
Teggle (first published Aug 01 '13) looks like it's inspired by / a clone of Slide to Unlock (renamed to Slide ►, first published Apr 08 '10).
Still, OP's game is a straight up clone of Teggle.
According to AppShopper, this pricing on this app is normally $0.99, and the author constantly changes the price (25 different price changes in the past 3 months) in order to "game" the system and get attention. Still, free is free...

And yes, pick this game up if you haven't got it. There isn't an reasonable argument against it
I would really love an application like Way of Life on iOS which is a simple habit tracker with yes/no/skip, and CSV export.
I have tried most of the habit apps on the Play Store and they always have complicated stuff like account creation, annoying notifications, or deadlines (which I don't care about).
I plan to write it one day but I haven't got the time right now.
Honestly, for iOS there are easier ways to track sales because there's only one retailer: the Apple app store. This lets sites like this become your one-stop website for iOS apps because they can track prices much easier than places like isthereanydeal can. And just by visiting AppShopper's front page, you can see all the potential deals people can post on /r/GameDeals .
Edit: Googled a bit and this LifeHacker article has links to several websites that track prices for both iOS and android apps. Find what apps you are interested in, sign up for reminders, and they'll send you something when the price drops.
I agree that they won't be around for a while, but it is worth pointing out that they have more than one hit.
They have three games in the top 10 grossing for iPhone right now.
Actually, I thankfully stopped using the store's wishlist a few months back. Now I use http://appshopper.com since they alert me when things go on sale.
I've "saved" a decent chunk of money this way!
I also just grabbed Valiant Hearts and Democracy 3
Get appshopper and put all the pricey apps you want on the wishlist there. It will notify you of when the prices drop as well as the historical price changes. If they don't drop by the time you need them then go ahead and buy them.
You might get some better tailored advice if we also knew what classes you were taking.
If you play Sentinels of the Multiverse, then I highly recommend Sentinels Sidekick and Sentinels Randomizer.
Sidekick makes tracking HP dramatically easier. I've tried to use it for other status effects, but that's generally more cumbersome than I'd like.
The randomizer allows you to set up random teams based on predefined conditions. What makes this worth downloading is the fact that it ties in with SotM Difficulty Scores to allow you to set up random games of (roughly) predetermined difficulty.
That's the best site for what you're wanting. It's not an App, and it's not part of the App Store application, but it's an awesome website where you can browse popular free and paid apps, and browse apps that have gone on sale.
It says "Free for a limited time so download today". But it has been free for a year already. ( http://appshopper.com/productivity/jottit-notes-tasks-to-do-list-organiser )
Plus the 2 star average + IAP + lack of updates + non existing dev website does not look promising at all.
iPhone doesn't let an app set your clock. You can only set it via Settings, choices being manual or "automatic" via the cell carriers.
But you can at least query the global clock servers with an app to see how wrong your clocks currently are:
http://appshopper.com/utilities/emerald-time
Now, me working in IT, ALL of my servers that need to coordinate or synchronize or log anything in real time, they set their clocks via "ntp" too. I cannot comprehend why Niantic's game servers do not also use this, and are all consistently wrong.
Those precious few seconds may have cost me one or two solo Machamp raids, back before Legendaries. And it's been a very consistent wrongness in the clock the whole time, with the userbase complaining about their missing seconds.
And such a simple fix too. On most Linux servers, this would be enough to do it:
service ntpdate stop ntpdate time.nist.gov service ntpdate start
Usually only required after a reboot, when the hardware clock may have gotten itself out of sync. (And the reason for turning off the ntpdate service is that both "ntpdate" and "ntpd" communicate on the same ports as each other; so long as the service is running, you can't update the local clock too.)
Perhaps /u/NianticGeorge could pass a note along to the server team?
Yep, http://appshopper.com is still up and running. Apple got weird about apps like this in the App Store so we weren't able to update the app.
Site still runs and we still maintain it. We are on a responsive design now and it still does notifications by email.
arn
There's definately something sketchy going on here. Splashtop has changed their price 20 times in the last week. Had you been one of the lucky ones, you could have gotten it for 0.99.
As an iOS dev myself, I watch these sales only to see if they have any sort of effect on marketing.
What's New in Version 1.50
Updated: Aug 24, 2017
Note: While it is not currently showing up in the Canadian search results on the iOS 11 app store, you can search it on AppShopper The link there opens it on the iOS 11 app store (for example, on an iPad with iOS 11) and is available for purchase (unlike 32-bit apps).
lol... It has been free for a few days every couple of months this year. It's decent though, which is why I bother to post. [I'm not the developer, nor am I affiliated in any way.]
When I first got my 6+, this game was basically broken. They did update it fairly quickly which I was completely surprised by and it's a lot better. They put a background to kind of fill out the rest of the screen. And for a game that's four years old, that was pretty surprising.
Also, Hot Springs Story, a similar game about a resort spa from the same dev is also .99 and has also been updated with iPhone 6 support and is a nice change from the game dev game. http://appshopper.com/games/hot-springs-story
And Venture Towns, which I haven't played but just bought: http://appshopper.com/games/venture-towns
I don't see it in the Apple app store nor the Google one. When I look up the author name, I only find two slot-machine products. Where'd you find this?
EDIT: managed to find it myself. http://appshopper.com/games/flying-hero-free . Is the likeness close enough that whatpumpkin should be notified? Is there a previous work that has this sprite artwork, and was the artwork re-used with permission?
Aha! I found it. I think this will scratch your itch. Dragon Fantasy. It took me a while to remember the name of it. It's supposed to be funny, well done, and designed to pay homage to all the old school RPGs.
Also Mage Gauntlet is pretty awesome. I guess that may be more 16-bit-ish, though.
According to their blog it looks like they are working on an updated version to meet the new rules requirements. It sucks for now, but at least its is still working for people who already had it installed, and they think they can work around the rules change.
http://appshopper.com/blog/2012/12/20/appshopper-app-removed-from-the-app-store-for-now/
This app looks like it goes free fairly often. Make an account at appshopper.com and you can be notified when the app goes free again: http://appshopper.com/utilities/asmart-hud-speedcams - or just check this link every now and then and get lucky.
AppShopper has a running list of every App Store app with "3D Touch" in the "What's New" section of its description.

You just aren't going to find games of decent quality, and without advertising, for free. What would be the incentive for any developer to write and publish such a game, not to mention pay the money for Apple's developer program, buy a computer and iOS device to develop on, etc. Anything good is going to cost money.
My advice, use a site such as AppShopper and watch for apps you are interested in to go on sale, then buy them at a lower price.
TL;DR: You get what you pay for.
iLife is free for those who purchased iDevice after sep 13'. Other apps you have mentioned have been in sale as free. For example, Ski on Neon was free few days back: http://appshopper.com/games/ski-on-neon I guess its not updated automatically yet. Some minor bug in delay in update.
You didn't buy it, unless you 'bought' it for $0.00. But don't mislead people to gain pity points.
http://appshopper.com/productivity/siri-assistant
It has been and was always free. Siri is now being integrated directly into iOS which is a huge plus. I wonder if it'll still be able to book movie tickets the way it used to?
I dug through my purchased apps, and about the only 2 that popped out are:
MechCom 3 - AppShopper says it’s removed from the App Store, so I don’t know if you’ll be able to download it.
Galactic Conflict RTS - App Shopper also says this was removed as well.
Appshopper might be having some issues with its API, which is the reason I’m linking them anyway. Everything else is iPad only. So /u/marcusdavvid’s suggestion if Iron Marines might actually be the best bet....even if it’s more TD lite than an actual RTS.
I highly recommend using an app tracking web site like http://appshopper.com/. You can get email notification when there is a price drop for something you're interested in. You can also see the pricing history for apps so you can determine if it has gone on sale in the past, and whether the sale price is worth while. Good luck!
Kontrol has a nice UI too.
Its price fluctuates, I got it for $0.99.
No it had all of those features. Leaderboards, gps maps updated live showing who was shitting, globally, at same time, forums, historic views, shared white boards, local broadcast messages etc. was available for iOS and android but doing a google it appears to have been shut down by apple.
Assume you are the creator, either way expect apple to follow suit as they seem unseen on poo humour

The app is called mylastcigarette. You plug in when you started, when you quit, your age, how much you smoked, what type ultralight medium or full strength, price etc and it does the rest. It keeps track of how much money you have saved, how many cigs you have not smoked etc. It was a HUGE help for me and I still check it often. I REFUSE to let that counter reset! I have one other friend that used this app and so far he's been doing great. Another friend found a similar app because he's on android and he's still going strong too.
http://appshopper.com/healthcare-fitness/my-last-cigarette http://appshopper.com/healthcare-fitness/my-last-cigarette
I use Appshopper to track app prices. It prevents me from having to install any app and the mobile website is very intuitive as well. You can simple add it as a shortcut on screen from safari on your ios device.
It was $29 from July 17 to 24. Maybe sales of the application dropped off enough that they put it back on "sale" again. Better to sell 3 copies at reduced price than one copy at full price.
Hitman Go launched at $5, too. You can actually see its price history on IOS here. Judging by how quickly and often Hitman went on sale, Lara Croft should be $3 in a few month, and then $1 close to a year from now. Not bad, really, for a pretty new, and quality app

You'll be hard pressed to find a good IRC app, and either way just FYI, it will not run in the background for longer than a couple of minutes, so keep that in mind. That said, Palaver is the best imo but it's not free.
For photo editing, VSCOcam, Enlight, Darkroom and Afterlight are excellent. If you use Twitter, get Tweetbot. If you want to keep a journal, Day One.
Check out http://thesweetsetup.com/ for in-depth app reviews and /r/apphookup + http://appshopper.com for apps gone free.
It's #45 on that page.
And for iTunes, this site currently has it listed at #54, however it's list is sorted by downloads, not gross.
And I'm glad to see a cool head here with a sense of reality about how many things are simply assumed by the player base. Indeed, there is much we don't know about Gungho NA's situation and what they're given to work with. We must remember that no matter how much money PAD makes in NA, all of it goes to the JP offices where they distribute it as they see fit.
It does suck to be behind, we all feel it. I just don't know how much can be done by the NA offices.
For photo editing I recommend Afterlight, VSCOcam, PicTapGo, Mextures, Filterstorm, SKRWT and Snapseed (some are free, some are not).
There's also this: http://www.iphoneographycentral.com/category/tutorials/apps-uncovered/ if you have time. Lots of info there.
For news I just use Circa and I'm not really into Pinterest stuff, so hopefully someone else will have better recommendations.
Another tip: make an account at http://appshopper.com and then download "Appshopper Social" from the App Store and log in. Add all the paid apps you want to your wish list. It'll notify you when they go free or on sale (change the settings so it won't notify you of updates).
Also: /r/apphookup is your friend.
I'm a former Android user too. You're gonna love iOS. :)
Yea like that flashlight app that was actually a tethering app! (before AT&T allowed apple to put hotspot software on the iphone!)
The app activity on this game is bonkers.
If you don't want to get it now, don't worry, it'll be free again sometime. Or $11.99, or $6.99, or $4.99, or $15.99.
Basically anything that provides app search or promotion functionality that could be confused or replace the official App Store.
To be honest, I actually use AppShopper to do exactly that so... I need an app or am browsing for something, I'll go to http://appshopper.com and search through there and mark the 'Own it' and 'Want it' flags. Always nice to see an app go free and be alerted to that.
!
In general, I find EA games not really well made and hardly with updates. They're a huge publisher and their strength is having licenses for popular titles and board games. But if you search around you can sometimes find similar games for better prices.
For example, instead of FIFA, I would recommend First Touch Soccer which has better reviews, way cheaper only .99, only 200mb vs 700mb, and a universal app so you don't have to buy twice and take up twice as much room on your hard drive. Instead of Boggle, I would recommend Wurdle. Instead of Scrabble, play Words With Friends.
Of course there are games which might not have a substitute like SimCity or Command & Conquer. But they do have FREE versions for you to try out first. If you really want an EA game though, I would wait till it's usually on sale for .99, which right now it is for Labor Day so nows your chance. Otherwise, use a website like Appshopper to keep an eye. It also shows you past price movements so you can see if there's a possibility it might go even lower.
Assuming that you own a working smartphone, i would recommend downloading a HIIT Trainer/Timer from the appropriate app store/marketplace. I know of the availability of several such apps for android (This being my personal preferance) and iOS (relevant). As far as i'm aware, however, there are only priced interval timers in the Blackberry appstore. I hope this helps.
I use trillian personally, but I had also purchased BeejiveIM, and it was quite good as well. If it is GTalk you are interested in only, they have a free version just for GTalk:
If you want something "similar to Words With Friends", then you might want to check out Chess With Friends. There's a free version and a $2.99 premium version.
Not really. It may be confusing because the developer (runtastic) seems to cycle their sales across their many apps. Here's the most recent activity for Runtastic Pro...
Hardly every week, although it was free (for one day) two weeks ago. Before that, it was free (again for one day) back in September 2016.
See HERE for price and version history.
For apps, it all depends on what you're looking for. I'd imagine many of the apps you use are probably on both Android and iOS. This site is my go-to for app recommendations: The Sweet Setup.
Also, Appshopper is a great resource for tracking all of the paid apps that catch your eye, but you're on the fence about. You'll get a notification when apps on your wishlist go on sale.
For cases and accessories I tend to go with whatever The Wirecutter recommends, but the Apple leather case does look pretty nice.
Duet Display is actually $15.99. (It was on sale for $9.99 for only 5 days back in May.)
I just purchased it and am using it right now. My iPhone 6 is acting a second display, a documentary is playing via QuickTime Player on that screen, while I type this on my MacBook Pro's main screen. I've tried this before with translucent windows and it never worked well for me, I get distracted too easily. This on the other hand, seems... perfect!
I just purchased a Blue Mountie, too. It's on sale for $18.71.
Thanks, OP! I'd heard about this sort of setup before but didn't think to try it out myself until I saw your pic. Very cool!
It was offered for free twice.Check this link for more information. http://appshopper.com/games/infinity-blade-ii It would be better if you play this game in order as all the three games are linked together(story is linked) but the gameplay is just the same.
Like many of you, I'm a solo developer focussing mostly on mobile games for iOS and Android. I've been making games in Unity for a little over a year and it's been a fun and educational experience.
I think the thing that really sets me apart from most of you is that I did not go to college for game design, programming or computer science. I actually went to school for Architecture/Interior design. After graduating I was unable to find a job (everyone wanted someone with experience but how can you get experience if no one wants to give you a job). I was frustrated with having spent so much on my schooling and not being able to use the skills I learned. Luckily, game development uses some of the same design programs that are used in architecture rendering so I was able to put my 3D modeling skills to use.
So far, I've released 2 games. Fight the Flu was my first game and a big learning experience. My next game was Alone in the Wasteland which is inspired by one my favorite game series: Fallout. I have another 2 games on the way that I plan on releasing soon.
I found appshopper.com is better for searching the App Store for iOS Chromecast apps:
I guess the question then is, what's changed? This app isn't new, it's been in the app store since April 2013 (though I'm not sure when they added support for Pebble) and the current version (submitted back in Jan) mentions Pebble support in the first few lines. They didn't have a problem with it then, but now they do. http://appshopper.com/navigation/seanav-us-nautical-charts-navigation

I decided to post this here so more users can see. So far, these are the apps that are on sale for Thanksgiving. However, since apps are released on Thursday (tomorrow, Thanksgiving) there might be more. I'll keep you updated.
P.S: in my opinion, the only good games on the list are Pako and Thomas Was Alone (2.99).
The game is good but I would wait since it appears that they change the price every other day (at least on the iOS version).
The IAPs seems to be limited to buying gold which you can already acquire by playing the game. Nothing I would worry about.
So much gaming of the system goes on in the iTunes store to get a quick boost in visibility.
Check out the AppShopper profile. Launched yesterday. Free. Raised price to $50 today.
I wish this were the rare exception but it's not these days. Please don't give these sorts of scammers any more free publicity.
Fair enough, but my job is basically to watch the App Store and I'm having a hard time thinking of even a single iOS DMCA take down that I'd describe as "swift," even in an incredibly generous sense. Do you know of one?
Follow http://appshopper.com/all/games/new/ in an RSS reader for a few days, and see how many recognizable sprites you see that no one ever does anything about.
The App Store has discounts all the time, but they're not as high profile as Steam sales.
If you want get get a game (or anything else) for cheaper from the Mac App Store, go to http://appshopper.com/mac/ and build a Wish List, and buy the games when they go on sale. You'll get an email alert when the games on your Wish List go on sale.
Be sure to check out Aemula Oldies (iPhone version/iPad version).
And if you're jailbroken, you can have almost any emulator to your heart's content.
Congrats! Glad to have another vict.... er, I mean, person on our team! ;-)
Seriously, though, I don't think you'll regret it. BTW: You should check out AppShopper (they also have an app available). You can tell AppShopper tell you when when apps go free for limited times, so you can really get good deals (if you're patient, like me, and don't really need the app). Just figured I'd pass that along; I check it everyday and even flag certain apps (expensive games, for instance) to notify me when they go down in price. :) Also, I like their search better than the regular app store.
Anyway, enjoy your iPhone!
Try Appshopper.com. They've got a crazy good sorting system. You can see only free apps, paid apps that have just gone free, apps that are only for iPhone, or for the iPad. It's highly customizable. I personally use this link, so I can see all the free apps (because I'm cheap).
Not a specific app suggestion...but I would recommend bookmarking http://appshopper.com and checking it often...there are always sales and frequent app giveaways...many of the apps suggested so far in the thread have at some point become free for a weekend or have been significantly discounted, its an easy way to support an app habit on the cheap.
I haven’t played a Dawn of War since the first, and very early on in the second. Watching some videos, it looks like something that was on iOS a couple of years ago, The Incorruptibles. Simplified unit management and base building. It had all the F2P shenanigans (energy, timers blah blah) but I recall it being somewhat interesting with the upgrades on units.
That developer has 2nother twin stick shooters as well. Neon Chrome and Jydge which are more Cyberpunk than space SciFi.
No idea because I bought the game years ago and can’t see the price , but there’s price history here: http://appshopper.com/games/king-of-dragon-pass
I’m guessing you’re also in Aus like me so 7.99 aud is still the sale price I assume
It is a fake discount. It has been free for over two years with some temp pricehikes. http://appshopper.com/photography/document-manager
And it has ads with an IAP to remove them and some other IAP.
Not a hookup, it has been free since release.

On an iPhone, there is a free-except-for-the-ads app, which will stitch together multiple screenshots. Basically, you take a screenshot, scroll up enough that there is a little bit of overlap between pics, and keep going until you're done. And then stitch 'em all together! (Without paying for the unlock, the app also includes a bit of self-promotion at the bottom.)
http://appshopper.com/photography/tailor
There are surely similar apps for Android too, but I don't have a other-flavour-of-Borg device to recommend any.
I use this free WiFi Photo app to wirelessly transfer my pics from my phone to my laptop PC.
Been using it for a loooong time now; never had any problems with it. Super easy to use.
NotesPlus - excellent notetaker, excellent PDF reader/annotation engine. Handwriting recognition, the works. It is worth everything I paid for it. I've used it for everything from TTRPG character sheets to my mortgage paperwork.
GoodReader - one of the best PDF Readers and managers of PDFs (PDF Expert, mentioned in another comment is the other). The annotation engine is pretty good.
As for the Chapter/Page problem you're talking about, it depends on the file not the program reading it. If the file doesn't have the correct page numbers/pre page numbers (the Roman numerals) then no PDF reader will be able to get you to the right place. I've seen it in multiple pdfs where the creator of the PDF didn't mark the pages properly and thus, page 187 in the book is actually page 200 in the file.
Reswue is in and of itself, literally, just a communications tool. It simplifies certain tasks for coordinating a team, yes, but there's nothing you can do with it that you couldn't do via Google+, Facebook Messenger, or text messages.

But if you're jealous, there is also a ENL-only program that appears to have similar functionality. But of course even if I downloaded it I couldn't test that anyway.
I see that they claim it is on sale down from $20, but I don't think they have ever actually tried to sell it for $20. It looks like the highest their "normal" price has ever been is $10. This makes me more suspicious of them.
You can view price history at AppShopper. Not sure why it is showing british pounds for me right now. http://appshopper.com/mac/productivity/typeeto-remote-full-size-bluetooth-keyboard
Yes both work.
You may find this site easier to search for Chromecast apps. The Apple App Store search is pretty bad:
The iOS app for this site is called appshopper social: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/appshopper-social/id602522782?mt=8
Right but the apps are different, which is the point I was making. Syncing data from one to the other is useful, and you could possibly achieve the same end goal. UWP just might make doing it more simple from a developer's perspective.
> ..any dev who wants can integrate it into their own app...
To what end? There are far less (under 28K) apps for OSX than there are for Windows 10 mobile.
I know your intensions are good :) But I think we can make AppHookup better by only posting verified freebies. Otherwise it will become a bloated list, not much different than what automatically is generated by sites like AppZapp and Appshopper.
Like this list: http://appshopper.com/prices/free It is a nice start, but AppHookup will be better with checked genuine freebies :)
I would recommend downloading AppShopper (or using the website).
I set notifications for only price drops (of "My Wishlist")
My bad. It's called Huemote Watch. I've been calling it the wrong thing for months. I prefer it because it doesn't focus on Scenes at all. You just have individual lights and whatever groups you setup, then a master switch over that. You can use a sort of color wheel and adjust brightness by light, group, or everything all at once. The watch interface is very clean and easy to use, so it is my mainstay.

Here's an album of screenshots I made to give a better idea of the phone and watch components: http://imgur.com/a/y7jBO
I loved Way of Life on the iPhone. Not because of the features but because of the pretty UI. There is also Goal Streaks which has a nice and simple UI and is Universal. I'll look up the links.
Sorry for the shitty links.

Also I posted this eariler
Master list of New/updated apple watch apps updated every (hour?) http://appshopper.com/search/?cat=all&platform=all&device=all&search=%22WatchOS%22&searchdev=all&sort=update&dir=desc&page=
Have a look at the app called AppZapp, as it shows you new apps, popular apps, free apps and so on. It's actually quite good. As for Apple/App/iOS News, I think your best bet is to follow respective channels on Flipboard.
Also, have a look at appshopper.com for newly updated apps, or apps for free and so on.
I actually alternate between Rocket and "video and TV cast". I prefer Rocket's simplicity but Video and TV cast is better for sites like Vimeo.
I find my iOS apps with AppShopper https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/appshopper-social/id602522782?mt=8
Running a search for Chromecast in AppShopper will give you better results than the actual App Store search.
Here is their website search http://appshopper.com/search?search=Chromecast
Alien Blue should get better soon - I've read some info about Reddit team working hard to fix all the problems and update it with new features.
I don't know any better alternatives, though, but this list may help you.
