Yes, in Ontario the law is, as long as one party knows that there is a recording happening it is legal. You don't need to inform them that you are recording either, just know you are recording. I tell them at the end of my conversations that I also recorded the conversation.
(Link to the one I bought)[https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro]
If you have an Android install a call recording app and record that conversation. I don't know your local law for recording a conversation. Here in Texas, it's a one party state so as long as I know then I don't have to let the other person know.
I use this app, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro
Automatic Call Recorder Pro: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro

This app is been years, I felt bad to use an apk version, strongly recommended to buy it once I earn my own money.
I have an android phone, so I record every call with Call Recorder Pro. I've set it up to save everything for 15 days, and automatically save every call from my Nex's number.
iPhone does not has as good an option because of the app structure
Been using ACR pro for years, Get the paid edition its worth it. This has saved my ass on more than one ocation.
Just becareful some states are stupid as hell and its illegal to record calls or conversations with out informing them. To me in this day in age I assume I'm being recorded on all calls.

Here is the one I use. My device is rooted which does make a difference. If you have root this one is probably the best. Automatic recording, crystal clear and easy to work with. I use it for work. I love the let me give you my number as they have already rattled half of it off before you can grab a pen.
I understand if you dont have root the hard part is getting it to record their voice. There is a variety of settings to try but without root the app can't snag the incoming voice stream so it trys to do other stuff but is less than great on most apps.
I use this app on android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro
All you have to do is install it, hold the number 1 to dial voicemail, and the app will record the call. You can then replay the call in the app, save it to your phone, or send it to your email.
I have a terrible memory of my calls, so I use the app a lot. Good luck!
my app version is v3.8.25.6 maybe you'll get that option in update , check for update otherwise buy this app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro ) or download pirated apk from revdl
This is the app I use on my Galaxy S5 and it works well. I had another that was working, but for some reason stopped recording the other side of the conversation, so I moved to the app linked.
make sure it works using the free version before you pay.
i set it to keep the last 500 calls, and i whitelist a few numbers i call most often and don't need to record (kids, girlfriend, etc).
i'm trying to look at my bill now and can't tell what the hell they did.
when i called last month, they said it would be fixed on this bill, and that I would receive two credits for each of the two free lines, one for last month and one for this month, and she point-blank refused to fix anything. and i even have a recording of the call (there's an app for that). it took me five attempts to get the not-American rep to even understand the problem, which is always my experience with 611.
maybe one of yall can give it a go:
Line | Plan | Equipment |
---|---|---|
Account | $110 | $0 |
Me | $0 | $39.92 |
Kid 2 | $15 | $12 |
Kid 3 | $0 | $7.92 |
Kid 1 | $20 | ($0.50) |
GF | $20 | $0 |
Total | $165 |
so, the equipment costs look right, but the plan price is too high: according to everything i see, the plan price should be $140 for three lines, not $165 as above, and then the two lines added during the week before Black Friday should be free.
order of the lines is important here: The "Kid 1" and "GF" lines were the ones that should be free because they were added to during the promo. yet they're charged as you see them. wtf???
Then I have a number of discounts, all labeled "Autopay Discount," included in the above totals, like so:
Line | Number of Discounts | Total |
---|---|---|
Account | 2 | $20 |
Me | 0 | |
Kid 2 | 2 | $10 |
Kid 3 | 0 | |
Kid 1 | 1 | $5 |
GF | 1 | $5 |
what they're doing makes absolutely no sense, and i can't get anyone who speaks english as a first language and who's allowed to think outside a script to explain it and fix it.
edit: this is now my second bill since adding the lines. i added the lines on 19 november 2016, and my bill has now cycled twice since then.
how the hell do i get this solved?
I use automatic call recorder on my Nexus 6 without problems. They have a free version as well, so you can give that a shot.
I'm using this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro&hl=en
It's perfect, everything I need. I love that it automatically saves/uploads the recordings to cloud storage if you wish to.
so, things you want to know:
as a technical matter, there's an app for that. personally, i record every call to and from my cell phone, except for specific numbers and contacts i've whitelisted as being exempt from recording. the paid version of the one i use will keep up to the last 1000 calls (you can set the number) and you can save specific calls if necessary and exempt them from automatic deletion. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro ... for me it's incoming or outgoing -- work calls, random calls, spam calls, bill collectors, finance companies, call centers, doesn't matter -- everything gets recorded by default, and i can save it out if i want to preserve it longer than it takes it to scroll off my phone.
as far as i am able to tell, it is not legal to encumber personal property as part of a car note. your contract may purport to do this, but it looks like it's not actually legal.
even if it is legal, the firearms aren't the property of the debtor. this means they can not possibly be encumbered by the contract, even if the contract is legal, because the debtor doesn't have the right to encumber property he doesn't own. some random finance company can't take my shit just because it's in your car.
others have pointed out that the ATF will love to take people to the cleaners for offering to sell NFA weapons without a license and payment of the necessary fees; try to get 'em on tape before calling the ATF if you can, but i second this. your local PD may also take an interest.
in addition to all of the above and what everybody else has said, tow companies are regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). they have a handy online complaint process here: https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/Complaints/ i bet they'd love to hear about a licensee stealing and selling personal property, even if they don't directly regulate repos.
i'd call your local PD and see if they'll take a report that they've been stolen as well, especially they're if serialized. cops ^as ^much ^as ^i ^fucking ^hate ^them don't like stolen firearms and firearm systems.
if they actually do steal/sell the weapons, you can sue for their value. if less than $10,000, you can sue in any justice of the peace court in the county where your car was towed from, even if the tow company is located elsewhere. if more than $10,000, you use the district court. because of the trust, you might or might not need a lawyer (call one and ask -- lots will do free consults) ... but they absolutely will, because companies aren't permitted to file pro se in district court in texas.
you can find the number for your local ATF offices here:

No idea about native, sorry.
But I use Automatic Call Recorder Pro. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro
Works like a charm.
Hope this is useful...
This is the one I use.
The letter I sent via signed for was to my letting agency to query an issue I was having. Not even remotely hugely important but I just wanted peace of mind that they'd received a formal request so I could raise it if it hadn't been dealt with when my next flat inspection takes place. Now imagine if had been someones' PIP paperwork! I'm hoping to raise it with the Royal Mail at somepoint if I can.
I've personally had paperwork go missing within the big machine that is the DWP - fortunately I was able to fall back on the tracking to show it had arrived. In this situation I wouldn't have had that!
Onto Apps: I have gone through a few different apps over the years - it seems an app can work OK for a while and then an update, or a system change will break it.
I currently use Call Recorder Pro
>https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro
However it isn't without faults. For a start it's a paid for app which will put people off. Secondly if I restart my phone it will not work automatically - I have to open the app and close it before it continues to work automatically.
It's not the best, and to be perfectly honest when the unfortunate time arrives that I need to get a new phone I'll be trying out other apps to see if there are better alternatives. My current phone is a Samsung S8 and other than the issue with it not working when the phone is restarted it has been OK. The quality isn't spectacular but on the one occasion it was needed I was able to use it to produce a transcript of a conversation.
Your last question: Firstly it's not a dumb one to ask at all.
Let's assume it's a F2F meeting that's recorded. For starters I can't personally imagine a scenario where PCS (a Union that DWP staff can become members of, among others) would allow their staff to be shown on such recordings. The DWP and benefits in general are topics around which significant emotion can occur - you need only look at some topics / comments here to see some of the abuse directed towards the staff (most of it gets removed pretty quickly but I've still seen some shocking comments that really would get people in trouble IRL).
So let's assume any such recording is audio only, as that way the following also applies to phone calls - it's not difficult for transcripts to automatically be generated from recordings. So let's say a claimant attends an appointment - either F2F or telephone - and discusses their medical condition with a work coach. If that person is in the process of going through a work capability assessment / reassessment, it would be trivial - in theory - to generate a transcript of every conversation between that person and DWP staff, and search said transcripts for any content that doesn't align with the evidence submitted. Now, given how appallingly antiquated some of the systems within the DWP are that may seem like science fiction, but it is surprisingly easy to do.
Now assume that claimants are made to sign a new agreement with the DWP (again, this is purely hypothetical) that states that as part of their claim they consent to these recordings being given over to 'trusted' third parties? You would then have a potential situation where not only could these recordings be used as part of a medical assessment to 'trip up' claimants but they could in theory be used by third parties such as restart providers.
As someone who a very long time ago did a three month placement in a training provider used by the DWP¹ I guarantee you that information would not be stored safely.
¹:tl;dr: I was referred to a provider by the DWP with the aim of getting back into work, they decided instead to have me work for them for three months. This was extended with agreement from the DWP for an additional three months - so six months in total.
I use the free version of this app which works well. Call Recorder Pro
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro Perhaps your country's laws do not allow it. Check the above paid app to do the same.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro Paid one. No ads. good support.
I use this, it works really well. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro
