Except working in Plano, apparently.
Anyone having difficulty watching the pregame on Hulu?
Edit: YouTube tv has it and free subscription https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/?utm_source=pm&utm_medium=gs&utm_campaign=1006175
Don’t forget to cancel before it charges.
Thanks for bringing up this topic. I spent some time last season trying to get a handle on NHL options. I'll add my experience in here.
Note that jamesrc put GCL under the "out of market" section of his post. I tried GCL early last season. Unfortunately, they will detect that you're in-market for the stars and block any live feeds. You'll have to wait until the game is over before you'll get to see it, or use a proxy service. I tried that option, but the reliability and data speed with proxy services didn't work well for me. (I used Private Internet Access. I have 300MB internet speed.) Also, using a proxy for GCL is outside the terms... so, not only will you have poor/medium results, it's not legal.
I went with Playstation Vue. They have a Dallas package that contains Fox Sports SW without buying the sports add-on. It's $45/mo with DVR and 5 concurrent TV access. They broadcast in HD, but I need to double check this season to see if they downgrade the picture for the games. I had it last season and don't recall seeing poor picture quality. SD is pretty easy to notice. Also, you'll gain access to Fox Sports Go. You don't need a playstation to use it. Last I saw, they had an app for Fire TV and Roku. (I use Fire TV's)
Yeah, blackouts suck.
That's why I also invest in a cheap Private Internet Access subscription.
They're a VPN service rather than just a DNS thing like some others. Connect up to to a server in the UK or in Germany and you'll never have to worry about blackouts again.
HD Gamecenter feed, too, no stuttering or buffering as long as you have a good connection and they have an Android client as well. 's been my setup for not being able to catch games for a couple years now. Served me very well.
From the NHL Gamecenter Live FAQ
> Blackouts are enforced based on the location of your viewing and not your purchase, so if you are travelling blackouts will be enforced accordingly.
I watch from Australia and I didn't encounter any blackout games in last season's playoffs because they don't have any partner networks in Aus. Surely this will apply to you in Turkey, no?
EDIT: Otherwise, try giving Hola a shot. Just run Gamecenter through that so you don't have to wait the 48 hours for the full replay.
This - if you have a friend w espn+ or split the espn+ & vpn subscriptions with a buddy, it comes out to ~9/month for the whole year and you get all other teams’ games
ExpressVPN is pretty easy to use on most smart tvs
Only bad thing is that it misses those national games on NHL network. Dowloaded the Bally app for a free 7day trial for Sundays game since it was one of the few not on ESPN+
Not all VPNs are created equal… I use NordVPN without issue. Sometimes, ESPN+ website is funky and I have to refresh like 10 times before the game finally loads. Also, it has to be on a laptop/desktop web browser without location services enabled. VPN with iPad doesn’t work for example because app gets your GPS location and doesn’t use the IP location.
I use a VPN called Private Internet Access. They have an Android TV app so I just launch that, connect to an endpoint that isn't in either team's blackout area and then launch ESPN+. It worked like a charm last season.
I feel for him. I'm stuck in a hotel room in Virginia Beach in quarantine (I'm okay, mandatory 14 day quarantine because I'm moving due to the military), and this is my speed test
I use this for my PC. It really kicked up the internet speed on it Limited-time deal: TP-Link USB WiFi Adapter, AC1300Mbps Dual Band 5dBi High Gain Antenna 2.4GHz/ 5GHz Wireless Network Adapter for Desktop PC (Archer T4U Plus)- Supports Windows 10/8.1/8/7, Mac OS 10.9 - 10.14 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KHV7H1S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_dl_HC3C9FS3GZT2RPSTYY9C?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I suddenly had issues with my VPN not masking my location properly. Talked to a support team with NordVPN and they had me clear my cache and cookies. Fixed the issue no problem.
Said that sometimes the browser will have issues with cookies and trying to geolocate, which will cause failures with the VPN. I would recommend that if you haven’t already.
This worked on my phone, I believe if you sign up for Disney plus you get the others.
I get everything I need except A&E.
Okay so as my edited post says, THIS game is not blacked out because some games are exclusive to ESPN+. Only a handfull this season are and this is one of them.
Now for the normal non ESPN-exclusive games on Bally sports, VPN is a must (only in Dallas area) but you need to make a connection OUT of the market.
I use NordVPN, and i generally tunnel/VPN to Phoenix/St. Louis. Somewhere close but out of state. Have had no issues with this thusfar.
Yeah that's probably true. The main reason I am using EPSN+ and not another method that's only available via browser is because of this. I want to be able to control an app on my fire stick to watch on my TV with pause/FF/RR and not deal with all the extra bs with casting and ads, etc. ExpressVPN has an app for almost everything, so that's what I'm using.
Hmm might try buying episode 6 from here? Looks like a sped up version (only 2hr 50min), but I bet that would still cover all gameplay: https://www.amazon.com/Stanley-Cup-Winners-Volume-4/dp/B0190TM2PW
Only $2.
So I went looking for it, and I found an option. It's not a star, but it's the closest thing I could find.
This is a mini-helmet, but one of the reviewers said it made a good tree topper: https://www.amazon.com/Franklin-Sports-NHL-League-Dallas/dp/B000ND76X8/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
Best of luck in your search.

Yeah, I wound up on Zappos last night and they didn't have them either. I did find these to tide me over for now, though. :) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DDV2GKA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
