Xenia, and the emulation compatibility is no where near complete. As another user said, if it was released on PS3, you would be much better off playing it on there as it is currently UNPLAYABLE on Xenia.
And it appears the game is UNPLAYABLE on RPCS3, so your only option is to play it on the original console of your choice.
The emulator as all have stated is RPCS3. You should check out their Quickstart page. I also recommend you post your specs of the PC you are wanting to run RPCS3 as it requires a good PC to run it effectively. I also recommend you check out their compability list to ensure your games are playable.
Also if you do get into running RPCS3 I recommend BSoD Gaming's RPCS3 Setup Video. The 30 minutes will be well worth it getting the best performance out of your PC.
Sure, Following the guide on the RPCS3 website you can dump games on a PC using a comparable drive. Failing that a CFW PS3 with multiMAN will RIP your disks. A compatable Blu-ray drive must have a comparable '.ird' file available in order to fully read PS3 discs.
https://rpcs3.net/quickstart >>> Check under the section "Obtaining PlayStation 3 Format Software"
A million people will likely show up shortly telling you to switch to DuckStation any moment now, which isn't bad advice, but ePSXe still runs without issue on my gaming rig, so fix which ever plugin is giving you the issue (unless your memory cards aren't setup correctly?) or try DuckStation out & see what you think.
Actually I recommend moving to Duckstation for PSX Emulation. I know it's not the answer you are looking for but it's quickly becoming the best windows PSX emulator. It even has Vulkan implementation. This is the link for the download. Here's a setup guide.
Well, if you live in one of those counties (https://www.privacytools.io) I strongly advise you using vpn for everything, the only website i would access without vpn is the vpn site itself to renew it
for linux there's lutris which is a great program for managing all your games from steam to emulators. It was one of the reasons I switched to linux for gaming https://lutris.net/
Not one of your emus that you use but perhaps try the "Nox app player" and see what happens? https://www.bignox.com/ What have you to lose? It's free. I use it for Fallout Shelter myself and other than a occasional graphics glitch it seems fine.
Did a quick Google search and this came up as one of the “best overall” N64 controllers for PC.
Maybe, but there won't be very many of them out there. The ryzen machines were more expensive than the intel boxes, and most businesses went with the cheaper intels. There are already some of the older A-series AMD minis bouncing around, but they're not nearly as cheap or plentiful as their intel contemporaries.
If you install MSI Afterburner it comes with fraps (or just install fraps) and inside the settings for fraps you can limit the FPS of any app you are tracking. There’s also vsync settings inside some GPU drivers. For example nVidia allows you to set vsync as well.
And as a side comment if you aren’t committed to ePSXe, the community now recommends Duckstation as a more modern easy to use PSX standalone emulator. EPSXe is old and doesn’t get updated anymore. Duckstation may just solve the issue without messing with other settings.
Did you even bother to look at their compatibility list?
RPCS3 tells you what level of playability each game has once you install them and even provides you quick access to the games compatibility listing. It's a good feature to use not just for this game, but every single game you're trying to play, whether they're listed as working or not.
DS emulation actually has a rather hopeful future with the ongoing development of melonDS, which is a W.I.P. DS emulator that can also (sort of) do local wireless and online connectivity emulation as well as DSi emulation for DSiWare / DSi Exclusive titles (though these aspects are still a work in progress but in my experience the DSiWare emulation portion has worked rather well thusfar).
Whilst I haven't done any performance tests myself regarding DeSMuME vs melonDS, I'd recommend you to test it out and, given you are a fellow Arch Linux user with EndeavourOS, I'd recommend you to build the melonds-git
package from the AUR opposed to the latest stable build.
I'm using Dolphin Emulator, PCSX2, CEMU and PPSSPP. Most emulators on Windows PC work fine with a basic X-input style controllers (basically XBOX controllers). You can use a Sony DS4 controller too but you may need DS4Windows (a translation program to make your controller act like an X-input controller). Same goes to using a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller (a translation program like DS4Windows or BetterJoy will be needed). If you are into WiiU emulation, you may need the gyro function (for certain games like Zelda Breath of the Wild). Do note that the XBOX controller does not have gyro function.
I don't know why you face audio issue with your DS4 controller. Mine works perfectly fine.
I would have loved to recommend SimpleScreenRecorder, but it's Linux so instead maybe these suggestions will get you started: https://alternativeto.net/software/simplescreenrecorder/?platform=windows
Otherwise if you're determined to use mednafen's qtrecord functionality, you'll have to use the command line - afaik there isn't any other way to use it
You can use DS4Windows to set up the PS4 controller on your PC. It will also let you customize things like the color, brightness and action of the lights on the controller. My personal experience with that tool is it works, but not without issues.
I invested in a MAYFLASH Magic-NS Wireless Bluetooth Controller Adapter instead and found that using that worked better for me than using the previous program I mentioned. I set up the adapter to use the X-Input setting (green light) on my PC and you can sync different types of controllers to it (Switch Pro, Xbox 360/One (not sure on Series X as I don't have one), PS4/PS5 controllers, etc). It even works on the PS4 and the Switch.
You mean archive.org? I can't find a rom section, searching turned up some results but not a ds section as far as i saw, if there's an easy way to find them please let me know. Searching "roms" doesn't get the results it used to.
I found this site on google, well Reddit from Google. https://the-eye.eu/public/rom/
I'm assuming that's about as good/safe a list as it gets, i just don't know if it has anything new or homebrew.
Well the game is compatibile in RPCS3 so that's a good start.
PS3 Emulation is t just an easy thing to do even Plants Vs Zombies. You do need a good PC for Emulation so what's your specs?
Secondly you should read the Quickstart Guide
Third you should spend 20 min and watch and follow BSOD Gaming's RPCS3 Setup Video on YouTube
Also building PPU and SPU cache is normal. High end emulators need to build shaders and cache information so that's not incorrect. Your issue might be the PC you are trying to use to emulate PS3.
And lastly in regards to the legality of what you are doing it's actually not legal in some countries. Just because you bought it for one system doesn't mean emulating on another is ok. That's why the reddit group deleted the thread. The copyright laws state you can legally back up a copy of what you own. Not download a copy. FYI
Update to the latest build and rescan all games - I had to add a workaround for invalid PBPs being created by PSX2PSP.
If they're not encrypted and still not showing up, please submit an issue along with the log file after trying to open one of these files: https://github.com/stenzek/duckstation/wiki/Enabling-Logging
Good write up about DuckStation! It really is the best PS1 emulator and it truly shines on PC where (more) up to date hardware can really breathe new life into old games.
The public github of the project is at github.com/stenzek/duckstation for most up to date info
I would suggest moving to Duckstation for PSX Emulation if your disk is a Bin/Cue file and use Vulkan graphics driver. If it is a PBP then use Retroarch with the Beetlecore.
Here's ETA Prime on youtube going through Duckstation setup. https://youtu.be/xdrKCfVohk4
Here's a link to the emulator download. https://github.com/stenzek/duckstation/releases/tag/latest
I hope it will get PBP support soon it would be the best PSX emulator and retroarch core.
Edit. Also what is your laptop specs?
If I'm correct (can't currently access my computer), you're going to need your DS/DSi's BIOS and firmware files. This guide from the official melonDS FAQ gives a pretty good explanation and resources in order to do this. Other than that, I don't believe anything other files (besides the game ROMs, obviously) are required to use melon.
Hope this helps! :-)
Edit: fixed some grammar mistakes
Try Mesen. Defenitely one of the best NES emulators. Very compatible, chock full of features and also easy to use. https://www.mesen.ca/#Downloads
Higan is good also but it isn't as user friendly IMO. Higan truly excels at SNES emulation. The same guy that made Mesen also made an SNES emulator but it isn't very old (less then a year) so Higan is the goto for now.
If they're talking about iCatButler's fork of PCSXR-PGXP, it's really not bad at all. Before DuckStation was viable, I was building it from source in Visual Studio 2019 and it always worked very well for me.
PS4 Controllers with Ryochan7's DS4Windows is another good option if you like Playstation Controllers. I have 2 and don't even have a PS4, they're great for emulation. You get gyro controls in cemu and citra, the touchpad can control the mouse, you can set up automatic profiles for specific programs and you can set button macros and rebind the controller easily. You can also customize the lightbar: change the brightness, color, or turn it off completely.
ok sorry. PS3 and PS4 do not need independent drivers to work? are you using the latest version?
https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows/releases
I never used these controls because I never had any, but I read recommendations about this driver!
and I don't know what else to suggest.
cheers!
Is this for a controller or mouse/keyboard?
For controller my favorite is Pegasus, it's very quick and snappy without having artwork/details details.
Bigbox is really slow and glitchy even on high-end hardware, it's not worth it imo. Buuut if you get the free version of launchbox it is a great way to organize your roms/download metadata and artwork, and Pegasus can automatically load those assets so it's very easy to get going.
according to official site, PPSSPP is not natively available on mac, and that you're gonna have to compile it from the source code. Thankfully, the PPSSPP folk have provided a detailed instruction of how to do this
I would try disabling aspect-ratio correction if the only issue is that some columns are wider/narrower than other ones. If rows are uneven too, I would disable scaling in the emulator at all, and use e.g. IntegerScaler to scale the untouched unscaled image.
But in fact Kega Fusion 3.64 is incredibly old. The modern way to play Genesis/MD games is using RetroArch with “Genesis Plus GX” or “BlastEm” cores.
Nope. Every time I've tried to use physical discs, read delays or something caused stutters.
Just use ImgBurn to rip your discs to BINs or ISOs. It's free and easy to use.
Just be sure to rip them using a lower speed like 24x or 32x. CDs don't play nice with full disc read speeds at 48x or higher, as they can wobble and crack. The PS1 itself only read discs at 2x speed.
/u/opensr pointed you in the right direction. PCSX2 is a fantastic emulator. I've been playing SSX 3 and SSX Tricky with it for the past few weeks and loving it.
Nothing in particular to add to the post below except: rip your discs (or "acquire" ISOs/BINs of your games). IMGBurn is a great and simple to use burning tool for Windows to make disc images. If you're on a Linux system, Brasero should get the job done.
I suggest ripping the discs because the emulator can be finicky, and even a bit stuttery at times reading the physical discs. Plus, ripping them means you don't have to keep them spinning, and less concerns about your original discs being scratched or damaged at some point.
Also, while "It is illegal to download the bios file to use because it is under Sony copyright" as /u/opensr noted, it's commonly done, as actually ripping the BIOS from the hardware, while possible, is a nightmare of a task. I can't help you acquire the BIOS files, that would violate the subreddit rules, but Google is your friend. Alternately, PCSX2 may support HLE BIOS today. Not sure if that's the case or not, I've always used original BIOS.
Not exactly what you are looking for but this guy got win95 running in a browser.

The part I thought you might find interesting is this:
The project uses emscripten, an emulator that compiles C++ code to JavaScript at runtime so you can enjoy the full retro experience without needing to install a plugin or set up Windows 95 from scratch.
Obviously there is C++ source code to feed into emscripten. Could that source C++ code be useful for what you are doing?
> Asus X541S
Perfect.
Ok from reviews it appears your model has a dual-core Intel Celeron N3060. Realistically this cpu should be able to handle these systems with no problem. So to see if it is an issue with windows, I would suggest you do as another redditor said and make a bootable usb drive with batocera on it. I would also check to see if your HDD is working fine by checking it with crystal disk info and crystal disk mark.
if it's not running fine with multiple emulators in windows, that would usually point to a hardware problem, but it could also be windows, hence the suggestion to try batocera in bootable mode.
You should be able to install Retro Arch, which is an attempt to unify multiple emulators under one framework, so they can share (controller etc) configs to save you setting up multiple emulators.
If there isn't a current MAME install in your repos, it's pretty easy to compile; and now emulates computers and consoles as well as arcade.
Failing that, Lakka is a distro aimed squarely at running retroarch; it'll run off a USB flash drive so you don't even need to install it.
Also, there's a very useful wiki here:
It's a 7zip file. 7zip is an extremely common format and utility for compressing and decompressing large binary objects and folders. It is generally preferred in in more technical areas where users are expected to have some technical expertise (like software emulators or video game mods) and areas where bandwidths costs are a major factor (like things that are given out for free) because 7zip is a much more efficient compression format than a standard zip file. You download it from the official 7zip website: https://www.7-zip.org/
For comparison, the 7zip version of Dolphin is 12MB, the zip version is 18MB. A 50% increase in bandwidths costs for a software that is provided freely is very significant.
RPS3
Honestly I’ve never tried it, with PS2 games on the PS2 emulator you needed a pretty beastly computer for a long time.
This is because the PS2/3 use their own special processors, each time developed by sony just for the PlayStation.
People seem to be having a lot of success (and I’m pretty sure playing demons souls is a driving force for a lot of ps3 emulation) with DS, so that’s good news for you!
Go check out /r/rps3
Here’s the QuickStart guide, the minimum requirements are comparatively low
Godspeed!
Demons was my very first souls game, and my nostalgia tells me it’s a million x better than Dark ever was (only played Dark 1). It’s a bummer the onlines down, maybe there’s a mod or something (I think there’s a few, on nexus mods)
Also, side note, to play it semi-legally you’ll need to find a copy of Demons, and have a bluRay drive to rip it with. Otherwise you’ll need to find some other source, and it’s essentially piracy. I’ve gotten like...? 4 copyright notices in the last ~15 years and 2 of them were for Sony games. VPNs are very cheap, and there are some good free ones (tunnelbear). a copyright infringment notice means next to nothing unless you’re getting a lot of them so dont worry too much on that.

We have seen even cheaper, but not sure about quality
You can get a Nintendo 64 USB controller on Amazon for $16. I bought one and it works perfectly.
Not the awful Intel ones, I meant more like this: https://www.amazon.com/Upgrade-Fanless-DATARAM-Computer-Quad-core/dp/B07QKKHQPZ/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=3SDMYEYWE3V6W&keywords=azulle+access3&qid=1564058017&s=electronics&sprefix=azulle+acces%2Celectronics%2C153&sr=1-2-spons&p...
ETA Prime just did a video where he bought a $40 Wal-Mart pay-as-you-go phone and it ran n64 and Dreamcast.
EDIT: I HAVE this processor in the stick and it runs things okay. Heck I play Dark Souls on it in standard def.
this one is this the most versatile I know of. But I would rather use a ps4 or an xbox one controller if I could only pick one.
