Instead of posting your daily depressed musings, have you considered starting a blog, or an emo band?
Your constant calls for help ignore all the help this sub has tried to provide.
I don't know where they get $125.70 from...
AT monthly pass is $215
Which is $140 USD
Cool! Great to see this in Auckland.
Downloaded the app here: Android iPhone
Registering requires a mobile number and a credit card.
You need to pay a refundable $9.90 deposit up front.
Fee is $0.25/15minutes, and you get $10 bonus for signing up.
There's a referral code system, if you want to give it a go mine's SAQIZJ.
The bike has no gears so can take a bit of effort when going uphills, otherwise it's pretty solid. The app's pretty bad though, crashed a lot.
Edit: Did some digging on the company. Pacific On Wheels Ltd is owned by Xinyu HU (85%) and Beijing Hailishu Information Technology (15%). Not surprising that there's a Chinese background, seeing how popular the sharing economy is there. Hu is the sole director and the company's office is at a house in Te Atatu.
The AT Metro Track My Bus app does this far better for two reasons: first, because they show the path the bus travels, and second, because they limit the visual clutter.
Your app, by comparison, looks exactly like what a developer working without a designer creates.
I bought this a while ago for this reason. I can put my phone, wallet, keys, etc etc in it and then lock it to a tree or similar. I can also loop a backpack through the chain lock part to secure that as well.
$215/$125.70 = 0.5846 It hasn't been at that level for more than 10 years.
Here's the Deutsche bank raw data
The place you are talking about was called Tacqueria and it was owned by a guy called Grier Govorko, who toured with the Red Hot Chili Peppers as a Production Designer for about 20 years.
The deal is that some people don't give a shit and will do things like that. No it isn't all good, but the council will clear it eventually. Report it using the Snap Send Solve app
Wave operates on the Bird Platform. Essentially a sort of rebranded franchise of Bird scooters. At this stage it looks like you use the actual Bird app to use them:

This app is part of a University of Auckland study funded by the Ministry of Health. We are seeking people who have a gambling problem, or think that their gambling may be causing harm to them or others such as family, friends or work mates. We are particularly focused on gambling activity that involves using pokie machines.
We have designed this app to work over 30 days (one month) as a way to support you make the changes you want to make about stopping or reducing your gambling. There are two parts to the app. The first part involves the app sending you regular tips and prompts. The second part works by using the GPS on your phone. Using the GPS the app recognises when you are in or near places that have pokie machines and sends a few small messages to help give you some timely tips to help you stick to your goals.
This app is only available for Android users. Download it here on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nz.co.uniservices.spgetti
If you don't need to plan a trip, Auckland Transit works really well showing you times and routes. Even real-time GPS location of buses or train, although I don't really use this feature. I've used a few other alternatives but this one is the simplest and fastest to use.
That's a good idea, mate. I got rid of FB in April, and I'm loving it. Just use Signal for messaging instead and cut loose from all FB products including Messenger and WhatsApp.
Auckland City library has one which you can pre-book at certain times. It cost me 40 cents to make a cookie cutter with it, having designed the piece with free software at home. It seems like a fairly decent machine, made by 'Diamond Age'. Worth a look ...
You can see it in this photo: http://www.thingiverse.com/make:98882
Okay it's what I suspected. :(
Up to a few weeks ago, Spark was using both the 850 and 2100 frequencies for 3G. They recently dropped support for 2100, therefore, you would need 850 support for a phone to work on Spark (and Skinny which uses the Spark network).
Your phone supports 900 and 2100 for 3G, and not 850.
This is why your phone no longer can make calls or text.
It's new phone or new carrier time, I'm afraid.
Well, you're not going to get cheap sites made here but you can use services like Freelancer if you have solid requirements.
You've also mentioned you need a developer, but have you considered hosting? They can end up as two totally different things.

Ignore the red line. A lot of the unprotected cycleways are invisible from a global view. Use the map legend.
It is incomplete, so is Google Maps, so use both OSM and Maps because they do add to each other. Also use Google's Street View to verify.
If you want a good overall experience without doing extensive research about your route, get the Bike Citizen app, which uses OSM data and it's own data.
Hey, yeah we have one here too. 🙂
It's called NZ COVID TRACER
Does what your one does, you can scan qr codes or enter in your location manually.

Would a dry boy work? They are quite popular in China. You might be able to pick one up at diaso on Queen St. Otherwise they have some on amazon. I have used them in the past and they are quite effective. https://www.amazon.com/Dry-Portable-Clothing-Dryer-Heater/dp/B015242TKW
Not necessarily.. When the council do get their shit together and are able to identify people who are not paying the correct new rate, they'll be able to ask for arrears dating to when the new rate kicked in, I guess?
So best to get the rate in and then figure out best way to enforce. Airbnb make it clear the onus is on individuals to make sure they're going about things legally.
I don't have the Ultra 2 but I'll tell you my experience with an Arlo wireless doorbell and 2 Pro 3 cameras. We got them as we're renovating and not living at the property. The older hub that I have accepts USB but is only USB 2.0. Just get yourself a 512gb micro SD from PBTech. To access footage from the SD/USB Drive you need to be on the same network i.e. at home. I have a VPN set up so I can access it remotely, but it is slow to play back. I believe the 7 day free cloud storage doesn't apply to the Ultra's, so this is something to think about if you are away from your property for an extended amount of time.
I have the subscription and personally the people/vehicle/animal detection, as well as interactive notifications are worth the monthly cost. Also the activity zones are helpful depending on where you camera is facing and how much motion there is.
I bought the charger for the Pro 3's and that was worth it.
The other downside is that the Arlo app can only send phone notifications and not call you, which when someone tried to break in at 2am, we didn't know until we woke several hours later. The POS came back the next night but I had triggered the porch lights to come on when motion was detected, he high tailed it out of there. I am using IFTTT to call my phone when motion is detected while I am asleep. Fortunately no one has come back since then.
Farmville Fruit+Veg at the top of Chinaman's Hill? I haven't tried it but seems like a pretty fitting place to buy your produce from the Chinese owners Ben and Annie Tong: <em>Chinaman's Hill</em> - "So named because in this area around 1900 were located several market gardens operated by Chinese immigrants"
They're bottom feeders, who essentially make a living taking advantage of people who just aren't aware that they're being sold products at a markup for no good reason.
While this is allowable in any capitalist situation, even the most staunch capitalist may concede that profit should come from providing at least some value. Drop shippers don't add value to the transaction. The product is shipped from the original retailer, not the drop shipper, so there is no difference to the product or service at all - apart from the markup.
Many of them also lie. I can cite examples where they claim that they developed/designed/made the products themselves, which is actually illegal in this country.
The amount who don't respond to claims of broken/non delivered/faulty items is immense. This is because they're not a legitimate business with strong relationships with their suppliers. They're literally just buying shit off Ali Express, or similar Websites, and having it sent to the unwitting buyer.
If you want to see a prime example, our very own drop shipping pioneer, Dealman, has his very special place on the Web here: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/dealman.co.nz
Hey OP, going through a bit of a patch finding myself and meeting new people as well. I'm on meetup.com - where I've met some nice people, but haven't really made friends. Started going to pub quizzes (shout out to you lot ;) ), random cooking classes, you name it. It's a slow burner that's for sure.
As you get older, you find that people already have their own groups of friends and are settled, so don't have any real inclination to find more.
I'm down for a night at the comedy club if you're looking for someone to hang with :)
Check GMG. Avoid the key seller sites others have suggested. They're known for selling stolen keys which get revoked.
apparently, all you need is a couple of screwdrivers and some heatsink paste, both of which I think you can get from jaycar. (or I could lend you them if you don't want to shell out for them)
I'm sure you could do it yourself, I'm sure that you probably have steady enough hands if you tattoo.
From the guide, it looks like it would take you a couple of hours, just because you have to take the whole thing apart (tsk, apple design...).
I would volunteer to have a go myself, but I'm pretty time poor at the moment.
Maybe you know exactly what you dream of being. Or maybe you’re paralyzed because you have no idea what your passion is. The truth is, it doesn’t matter. You don’t have to know. You just have to keep moving forward. You just have to keep doing something, seizing the next opportunity, staying open to trying something new. It doesn’t have to fit your vision of the perfect job or the perfect life. Perfect is boring and dreams are not real. Just…DO. You think “I wish I could travel” — you sell your crappy car and buy a ticket and go to Bangkok right now. I’m serious. You say “I want to be a writer” — guess what? A writer is someone who writes every day. Start writing. Or: You don’t have a job? Get one. ANY JOB. Don’t sit at home waiting for the magical dream opportunity. Who are you? Prince William? No. Get a job. Work. Do until you can do something else.
Thank you everyone for all the advice! We've narrowed it down to these two -

Both look awesome, and I believe the Mt. Eden unit is in a good residential area based on some google street view searching.
If you go to the University of Auckland business school, the building that looks pretty close to this
Here's a picture of it that I took ages ago
You could probably find some short ones online, a quick google gives this website https://www.lingq.com/blog/polish-short-stories/. TradeMe is also a possibility. IIRC Auckland University has taught Polish in the past so maybe they have some there if you're a student?
You can use the app: Snap, Send, Solve. It creates a report and sends it to the appropriate authorities e.g. Auckland council, Watercare, Auckland transport. When you create a report there's an abandoned trolley incident.

Kids these days aye. Back in my day, kids invented televisions.

I was kind of with you until ckfool pointed this out. you are getting the whole house to yourself in exchange for just feeding the cat and watering the plants, it just seems like you are on-net better off for her going away even though it involves you picking up these chores.
I can imagine an issue might arise inconveniences you because e.g. you're committing to be there rather than go away. maybe you don't have plans now but might want to make plans later on. you might warn her she'd have to pay for help if you end up also going away or something or maybe she should talk to the neighbor now for a backup. or she might end up having to buy one of these: https://www.amazon.com/WOPET-Automatic-Dispenser-Desiccant-Recorder/dp/B0B38PFFL9/ . if you change plans and go away it's definitely on her to figure something out, it's best you make that clear now. but you know best whether you're likely to do that!
There are a lot of tech meetups on meetup.com where you can learn new skills, attend workshops, and talks. These are run by industry professionals who would be able to guide you in the right direction and it's great for networking.
i like Weather Underground: https://www.wunderground.com/hourly/nz/auckland/date/2021-5-15
while is says showers for the 15th the chance is under 50% and the amount is low.
You know those books for little kids you read in kindy? "Cows go Moo! Ducks go Quack!" That's the level we're at with the Mob and the Cobras. At least four-year olds have an excuse.
Hey all, use this app Grocer by Roc Wong. It help you to add the stores and than search for the product you want... It will tell you the cheapest place and you can also do your Shopping list and will tell the best place to go.

What are they gonna do, run to the cops? Cop: do you know why you get shot in the leg? Burglar: I robbed his valuables. You: he threatened to kill me with a large crowbar
I'm so glad somebody was there to help.
I just want to share about this tele-health app - as I'm not sure if many other people know about this. My GP recently got me to get set up with the Tend app for virtual doctors appointments and prescriptions.
You book everything through the app, and have your phone/video call appointments at a reduced rate (from what I can personally tell, my appt cost me less than $20) and they can even issue your prescriptions through the app directly to the pharmacy.
If it's Chemist Warehouse, the prescription will be free.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tendapp
It lists the doctors available and a bit about them, and you can choose who you want to make an appointment with. It'll bring up their spots they have available on a calendar.
Also side note, my GP actually had to go home the day of my appt. The nurse contacted me directly through the app to let me know he is still available to call in from home and we did it all as normal. I'm able to share my files (kessler form etc) directly through the messaging service with my doctor etc. It's super fricken convenient and I've been shouting about it from the rooftops.
Highly recommend people checking it out, as somebody who was useless at making appointments and actually committing to helping myself this has changed my life.
Windy.tv has it completely missing Auckland. Begging for some rain for the water tank, but looks like just more of the same old sunny days ahead https://www.windy.com/-Rain-thunder-rain?rain,2022011803,-41.228,174.836,5,m:cDYak0F
I (hospo worker) just bought myself these. Arrived really quick too.
I used to get super achy feet, didn't realise I was doing a solid 20000 steps until I won a fitness watch. I went and bought 3 packs of insoles from Amazon. I've never seen these over here but you might be able to find them. I could only find insoles that were quite hard and plasticy, but these ones are soft and flexible. I don't stick them down in my shoes just slip them in and go. https://www.amazon.com/Dr-Scholls-Comfort-Tri-Comfort-Insoles/dp/B01MQ5URDW/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=Dr+Scholl%27s+Insole&qid=1642939610&sr=8-8

Overseas shared hosting for as little as $2.50USD pm. If you want ecommerce, then woocommerce with wordpress.org. if not ecommerce then wordpress.com
NZ has some cheapish hosting around $10pm I think
SEO is what you use as meta tags etc. You dont need to pay anything for it but do need some "sweat equity"
I got my first trusty one from stevens many years ago and it's amazing. Does great omelettes.
But I've just order a few Lodge pans from Amazon.com.au since they have free shipping to NZ ATM if you spend over $59Aud on certain items. Lodge cast iron have a decent name and are made in the USA.
I've been juicing for a week now but can't get the money paid out. I tried to go through stripe.com but it won't accept any of 3 different NZ mobile numbers I've put in. Anyone else had any difficulties?
If you like this type of thing check this out too. It's an RNZ podcast about "black sheep" of NZ history. The host also started a YouTube channel about other historical events and subjects. I came across it when I was preparing to move to NZ and I was hooked.
Podcast https://castbox.fm/va/2125195
YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGyiIcb-T6kQ_KNpfG6ehVA
It gets scanned with this app.
You'll need to have it scanned in order to enter places like hospitality business, hairdressers and gyms
So sorry if this post is bothering you. I do really need respondents to complete the survey to pursue my master degree. This post is not spam. The website is online survey software called "Qualtrics" as follows: http://www.qualtrics.com/ While the link I posted starts with strathbusiness because it is an account under the university of Strathclyde. Here is the link for your reference. http://www.strath.ac.uk/business/
I do apologize everyone again. I didn't mean to disturb anybody; I just ask for help. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Weird how different weather sites have quite different takes on the weekend. weather.com and darksky.net say rain or thunderstorms, the local metservice sounds a little less wet
sunrise 06:57am
sunset 08:11pm
Cloud increasing. Few showers developing late morning, increasing for a time as winds change southwesterly, then clearing later.
Issued: 10:51am Wed, 19 Feb 20
It isn't perfectly flat, but it's pretty bloody good.
This is probably too far for what you're talking about, but you can get all the way from the CBD to Hobsonville Point without too many hills. The bike path reaches just short of Westgate (ignore Google, which thinks it ends way back), and from there you can cut up to Hobsonville Road. Route here.
You could even park in Hobsonville Point, get the ferry into the city, then bike back.
Royal Takeaway (Royal Heights, Massey) has a very yummy

Nice idea!
Can I suggest you use a different theme for the map? The current theme is too colorful and a bit distracting. Maybe something like Positron?
ponsonby, close to herne bay, has this awesome huge mario piece on the side of a fruit n vege store. google maps link note that the piece on streetview is not the current piece on that wall
If not in school, then get a good starter book. The reason you can't just jump into Youtube and pick a video is because there is no "structure" in it. If you are new to programming, then you need some kind of structured learning. You can't just jump at the end when you need to learn the basics.

Get a good book.

Also have a look at Pluralsight.com - they should have a trial.

Also, what are you going into? Web Development? PHP? Python? Or are you going to go Javascript, etc.
"Coding" / programming is quite broad.
We’ll need to talk to the cake maker tomorrow about not assembling it into the wedding cake shape. I’d prefer to sell it whole but if we can’t then I’m happy to talk to you about just buying the middle tier. The picture is on Facebook Market. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/237915307139825/
Here’s the link to it on Facebook Market.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/237915307139825/
We could talk to the cake maker about not making it in tiers as well if we have an agreement by tomorrow.
I don't have a printer either but have been using https://dochub.com/ to edit and sign documents. Not fancy but does what I need. Alternatively if you use a Mac, Preview can be used to fill in and sign forms.
Yes, not sure if we need a Meetup.com style event just yet, but a way to discuss the new tech/standards/how things are going in the industry., and specifically how things are in NZ, I feel we are on the edge of a real shake up technically of how these spaces operate.
As well as a bit of insider knowledge, pissing contest as to who's got the biggest chiller etc!
I'm dying to see someone yeet a dildo at this fucker.
(Don't worry, the link isn't porn 😂 it's an amazon listing)
Love a good journaling session! 🧠🌱 There's a book on Kindle that has awesome tools if you get into personal development type journaling. Beast of a book for $5 NZD or free with Unlimited 😊

i went to one for a while in three kings, mt eden area, she was really good, was monday nights, 20 dollars per class for one hour lesson, i enjoyed it, but shifted. had tried others before that which were memory tests really, wasnt really learning, it was all Hello is Ni Hao, xie xie is thank you, you are ni, i am wo, sort of thing, no real structure, if you want to understand the grammar, get this book, it has everything you need to know when you ask why https://www.amazon.com/Modern-Mandarin-Chinese-Grammar-Practical/dp/0415700108
There's an app for this too, for Android and iOS if I recall correctly, called Access Aware, on Google Play Store here for those reading this on mobile
I use the ISS Detector app on Android. Gives notifications for the ISS, Starlink and various other things. Uses AR to help you spot where it will rise and the track. Really good.
Amazon Kindle and Paperback - https://www.amazon.com/Dirty-Politics-poisoning-political-environment-ebook/dp/B00MP7GKZU/
Your best bet is probably just Ebay or Amazon.
Amazon might actually get your package here before Christmas if you pay for expedited shipping.
I use VyprVPN. No connection problems and fast speeds. Plus they have servers here in New Zealand so thus makes the speed seamless. No Logging... But they say don't trust VPN's who don't accept BitCoins...
You do realise that markets are not a zero sum game, right?
Someone providing value at a lower price means the money that would have otherwise been spent on that person can be spent elsewhere. Again, you're only looking at one side of the coin. You're also making a blanket assumption that all immigrants are more skilled and cheaper than all local skills, without considering comparative advantage or knowledge of "time" and "place."
I would expect communists to think that, yes. They still think the labour theory of value is still a thing, but that was debunked almost 150 years ago when Menger showed us that all value is subjective.
I recommend that you read Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt. Here's a free copy:
I think it says they are replacing the pads, I could be mistaken but I thought it says 1mm and 2mm somewhere (though I’ll leave it up to him to check) and I’ve not found anywhere in AKL that had pads when I was looking for a sheet that didn’t want more that sixty bucks. Could you recommend somewhere?
Edit: I see I did say paste as well though I already have a shit load anyway. This is the excerpt of what I saw about pads
AW 1070 Model:
I'd recommend replacing the stock thermal pads with Fujipoly:
2x - 1.0mm (https://www.amazon.com/Fujipoly-mod...=UTF8&qid=1480891448&sr=8-6&keywords=fujipoly)
I travel internationally for work and this book hasn't left my side in 5 years. A godsend.
This product may be of help OP, I think it's max weight is 700lb (roughly 315kg). I've never used one and you'd still need some bloody strong people but it might help
