I'm surprised you are struggling to find battlemaps. If you are willing to chop and change between map styles then there countless maps out there to pick from. Pintrest is actually a great source for maps. Annoyingly you have to sign up before you can fully browse someone's collection but you'd be surprised at the volume of maps you can find from there.
Anyway, there are plenty of sources for assets if you are determined to push on and make your own maps. I'm guessing you are looking for a particular style. Probably the texture based semi-realistic style. The Dunjinni forums are a solid place to start.
An effective way of browsing that site is to use google image search instead. Use a search term such as "tree site:dundjinni.com" in google images. Obviously removing the quotation marks.
The RPTools forum also contains a bunch of assets.
I'd also check through the relevant Cartographer's guild sub forums.
The forums for the Dundjinni mapping software have some folks trying it out at putting together a sprawling mansion and I think the results look pretty cool.

Made an account just to help you with this as it's a process I underwent a month or two ago when I wanted to DM a 4e campaign over the internet. By far your best friend is going to be http://rptools.net/. Grab MapTool and TokenTool for sure, learn how to use them well. MapTool will serve as your virtual tabletop and although the learning curve is a tad higher than its alternatives it's also the most versatile program I managed to come across. Also check out the links section on that site and you'll find a few databases of maps you can import and use in your campaign. If you're interested in making your own your best bet is probably http://www.dundjinni.com/.
Hope this helps.
So, I sent you a PM, but I also wanted to let you know. Try looking for d20 Modern Maps, or adventures. You can find a lot of maps done during Modern settings with that. Just typing in d20 Modern Maps in google just gave me a lot of results. Other ideas are to scour the Dundjinni Forums for modern maps. http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/search.asp?KW=Modern&SM=1&SI=TC&FM=14&OB=1&Submit=Start+Search
Personally, I don't use Roll20 to build my maps as I find too many assets on the page can really slow down the game. That being said, lots of people do it quite successfully.
Most tile sets (either purchased or found free online) don't use 5 foot tiles because the pattern would get repetitive really fast and it's really slow going to put down a tile for every single square. What you want to do is find a floor tile that you like and then drag it to the appropriate size for your grid. So this tile would be 3x3 on your Roll20 grid while this tile would be 2x2.
The Donjon random generator that you used actually has a built in function that will allow you to change the color of the walls and floor. Once you've constructed the dungeon, you'll see an option at the bottom called "Map Style" that will color the dungeon for you. Here's one I did.
I'm happy to answer any more questions if you need more help!
Map of a temple I made today, free for personal & non-commercial use - primarily because it uses assets created by many of the greats: Bogie, Neyjour, the Dundjinni forums, and maybe one or two others. 70x70 pixels per square, which should line up perfectly with Roll20's grid for a 30x30 map.
For those of you who like lore, I imagine that this is a pretty small temple in a border town - the two priests who live here might be the only ones, or perhaps it's a priest and an acolyte. Alternately, other clerics might live locally and come in during the day, leaving just the two to respond to the needy during odd hours.
Most art assets I've collected mainly are from Dundjinni boards/forums which people placed up for other to use freely (back when dundjinni was the only tool other than photoshop). Also noticed users still post there (see link below).
Now you should give credit if possible as it is appropriate, but the Dundjinni users I knew/know would not mind users re-using their art work for maps.
But it's still nice to give credit.
Googled "dead horse map asset" actually! Don't really know the rules about citing sources here but here is the link:
Edit: posted the wrong link before
Hello, I have another map made for you.
Today we have a rustic farm which by happenstance has found itself to be by a major road. So the farmer added an inn to the side of his old farm house to feed and house travelers, for a reasonable fee of course. The farmer also operates a produce stand to sell to anyone traveling by as well.
This has of course been a great boon to the farmer, but such a location and money being exchanged can also attract the attention of the less savory, such as bandits, local governments wanting taxes, or rich investors using their political and monetary power to put pressures to drive out the farmer.
I also have included, for free, on my Patreon some farm animals tokens. I am not an artist, as such these tokens were made by some fine people at the Dundjinni Forums (which everything there is public domain). I have just resized and put them through filters for better use on the map, full credits are included in the zip file with the tokens.
Available on my Patreon are higher resolution versions (including Roll20) with and without grid lines, along with day and night variants. As well as an additional cave map:
The farms well has gone dry, this spells out disaster for the farmer and his family. Could it be that the well has dried up naturally? Or maybe there's something more sinister afoot, the only way to find out is to descend into the depths below.
As always comments are welcome,
Happy gaming!

If you google search "dundjinni train" you can find some art assets.
Here are some:
http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/uploads/Bludragn/7C8_Locomotive_Coal_Blu.png
http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/uploads/Bludragn/445_Crane_Car_Blu_2.png
http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/uploads/Bludragn/75F_BoxCar1_Blu.png
You are running a business. Understanding the legal ramifications of this is not "taking things too seriously". And as such, here is the Dundjinni EULA section 8, bolded for your convenience:
8.1 You must provide the following credits for any map or adventure made with the Software Product:
a. For any such map or adventure (whether digital or printed) that is [...] (iv) distributed in more than 20 copies total (whether such copies are printed or digital), you must either (1) place the approved Dundjinni logo (in the format and size specified on the Dundjinni website at the time of publication) in the right hand corner of any such map;or (2) include the following credit line in at least 8 point type (7 point type in the case of website postings)immediately below or adjacent to any such map : "____(Map, Adventure, or Map and Adventure, as appropriate)_____ made with Dundjinni software, "http://www.dundjinni.com"
[...]
8.3 For purposes of Section 8.1 and 8.2, commercial purposes shall be defined as any use of the Software Product or its map or adventure output which yields any material financial benefit or compensation of any kind or nature, INCLUDING but not limited to INDIRECT forms of commercial benefit and compensation, such as the PROMOTION or other encouragement of the purchase or use of any product, service, game, system, or website from which you or anyone affiliated with you derives any financial gain.
So as you can see: - You MUST clearly credit the maps as made by Dundjinni - EVEN if it's just as promotional materials.
First of all: Have you taken a look at the tutorial in the sidebar? https://www.reddit.com/r/battlemaps/comments/4020zy/creating_your_own_battlemaps_a_simple_tutorial_v2/ It might help you, if you are starting out with creating maps in photoshop and gives a few hints about where to find the ressources you need, especially if you are starting from the ground up.
For pirate ships, I would recommend your first step should be a simple google image search of "ship dundjinni". There's a ton of very good images there that you might be able to use. Personally I like the one from here: http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/uploads/Bogie/53E_PirateShip-Labeled_bg.jpg but there are a lot of other good options. If you want to add cannons and stuff, just google "cannon dundjinni" and add them in photoshop.
Hmm. I think I tried to get that to work at some point with a Google Site, but it hasn't worked...
Roll20 essentially uses Google and that means they need to have your site indexed. Means these images need to be part of a website where they can be seen by the google spider and indexed.
I just nudged the google bot again to index my site... if it works I'll tell you.
In case it is original content you made yourself you could post it on the Dunjinni Forums. Roll20 pulls most assets from there when you search. It would have the sideeffect of sharing your work with the community.
The Dundjinni forums are a great source for this sort of thing. I suggest using Google with the "site:www.dundjinni.com" flag on your searches. Like this:
Then flip to the images tab to browse the results.
Alternatively, they have compiled zip files of free user-created art: http://www.dundjinni.com/art/user_art.asp
I have no idea how often those get updated, though.
uh seems like there is a pack floating around for dundjinni that has 100's of those things http://www.dundjinni.com/art/user_art.asp Should get you on track. Also try googling Dundjinni art packs Edit: People were using these art packs in PS and making some amazing maps.
If I understand what you're looking for exactly, here's a link to a sample wooden floor tile at Dundjinni
You could add the grid yourself with any editing program (GIMP is free, in example), or even launch Maptools. Once you launch it, you can drag in the wooden floor tile of your choice, show the grid, and export it as a png fast and quick - the grid will show up on the png.
The best way to make really cool maps for your players is Google "D&D maps", limit search to Large and steal them (Not really steal them, but use maps someone has already drawn and placed out there). Then write your dungeon around that map. Just turn on Fog of War and reveal the map as they go using polygon reveal.
I ran a campaign for over a year on Roll20, we played weekly, and I created my own maps maybe 3-5 times. And that was towards the end. I would think of a cool concept, search for a map that was close to what I wanted, download it and start creating.
http://www.cartographersguild.com/content.php
http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/default.asp (Kinda dead, but people have uploaded tons of really nice maps.)
https://secure.profantasy.com/library/default.asp
Or, as I said earlier, just Google.
Don't get discouraged. Being a DM involves many talents. You may be great at some, poor at others, especially things you haven't done before. Focus on what you are good at. I play in a Roll20 game right now where the DM rarely even uses maps. He just uses the whiteboard and places our tokens and the monster tokens and has us arrange where we are, then initiates combat. Write a good story, be immersive with your narrative and draw the players in and they may never even miss maps.
Good luck!
They could be a simple raiding party? If this is a Homebrew world, perhaps the goblins here are smarter than the average goblin. Or they could be <em>aquatic goblins</em>.
Mostly collected from here: http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/forum_topics.asp?FID=8&PN=0 I think. There's a big asset pack you can find called CUSAC or something. I can't recall and can't find it ATM.
Have you already tried all the resources / image packs I've described in step 1? There really are quite a lot of images around. Although, good buildings for a town are somewhat harder to find. At least if it's just roofs you're looking for (and for a typical city this is quite fine), you can try here http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=8929
If you are just starting with photoshop, I'd recommend to start simple. Use only premade images, scale them (ctrl+T) to your needs and mash it all together. Also, play around with the layer effects for some surprising results :)
First off, I would say to build the floor plans for each deck separately. If you build the ship as one structure, it will be hard to deal with the people inside while stuff is going on out on the main deck. Splitting it into different levels means that you can set them side-by-side to track inside and outside all at once.
For materials, cardboard works well for this kind of thing. It's cheap, it's light, and it's readily available. You can paint it to look like wood and add on short lips to represent walls and railing. If you look up youtube videos of creating dungeon tiles you should be able to get a good idea of how to start, then it's just a matter of adapting it to your need.
If you're looking for floor-plans to use, try searching for airship on the Dundjini forums. You'll get a bunch of very detailed layouts to take ideas from.
Good luck!
You may find things <strong>here</strong>. Check "mappers" - I think that you may find "Tiamat" most useful. Simply prepare some map with it and print it...
Additionally, look <strong>here</strong>. Those *.zips contain objects you could use.
Good luck!
Check <strong>this collection</strong> - Map libraries and mappers should prove to be useful.
Additionally, there's a software called <strong>Dundjinni</strong>. It's not free, but it's extra easy and the effect is very similar to what you seek.
I remember earlier today I found my first backpack and an axe and found my way to this castle. I walked to the edge, expecting my guy to stop when he hit it (like this) but instead I fell through. I felt bad but my next life was where I made it to an airstrip, so not too bad!
Which is the worst 3e book made. I have never, ever, in any game, ever, needed to know the stats of a Sailboat.
Have you checked Cartographers' Guild? They have a gallery and forums full of maps and mapping resources you can download.
Mallet has essentially dropped off the face of the earth, so I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for it. You might want to look into Dundjinni (cheaper, easier to use, a bit limited) or Dungeon Designer (a bit pricey, clunky to use, but amazingly powerful).
You don't need art skills, just cut out paper that is roughly ship shaped.
But just because you seem nice I used this wonderful internet thing called google. :P
You can look stuff up on Roll20. Most of the links take you to Dundjinni, and a lot of the Star Wars stuff is HERE. Other then that, if you have a good top-down picture of something you want, I can crop out the background for you.
I don't know how to embed links properly on Reddit so apologies for this looking very ugly.

Community made art pieces, updated regularly, archive going back to 2004. Learning how to use the Search function on the website helps a lot with finding specific pieces, so you don't have to sift through 70 pages to find that 1 token of a coat hanger.

Here you go:

This has lots of detail and I've used it in my game.
I find Pinterest (annoyingly!) to be really helpful for D&D related searches, which was how I found this one.
I find that the forums at Dundjinni are a great repository for user-created content and various textures. You’d have to package them for Dungeondraft yourself, though.
>Inkarnate
There's also Dundjinni. The program itself was apparently abandoned in 2008 (at least that's when the latest updates are from) but the community is still active on the forum and has created an insane amount of free assets over the years which you can download and use with pretty much any graphics program you like:
I just started using Roll20 with SW5e, and although there’s a learning curve the players and I are really enjoying it.
There are a lot of resources online, but among them that I’ve found most helpful:
Tokens - http://kndr.io/ts/swt1/
Map Items - http://www.dundjinni.com/forums
Intro Scroll Creator - https://starwarsintrocreator.kassellabs.io/#!/CMCTWf_jAE6n90bwk8ZJ/edit
Not for space-stations specifically, since was using them to run Pathfinder, I use GIMP with textures from Texturelib, all free and above-board. There might not be "spacy" textures on Texturelib, but I'm sure you can use free NASA photography for space backgrounds. For furniture and the like, you might look into the Dundjinni forum. Dundjinni is a paid-for mapping software, but users post a lot of images of furniture and other objects they've made on the forum for each other to use.
Meant to be used with THIS tent I found on Roll20. Just make the map for the inside of the tent and put this over it, then play it for a cinematic show for the players.
It's really mostly a decoy. The PCs find a tomb, but instead of the one they are looking for its just one of a minor noble. So I put just some silver, minor potions, fancy but dull daggers and the aforementioned owls in the various chests. I guess the deceased was into ornithology?! I also added a dead rust monster larva preserved in alcohol, because I the map I used had quite a few containers in that room. I adapted this fantastic map for my campaign, just replaced the jester references with a demon-posessed merchant that plays a minor role in the campaign: http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=13800
MapForge could be used to assemble such a map.
The hardest part, regardless of which software you end up going with, will be finding suitable assets for the 1930s. Try searching the Dundjinni User Forums and rpgmapshare.com for specific things you need.
If you're asking about the really big tree covered with moss, the slice of wood was a photograph, and the roots were just assorted textures on which I painted shadows and highlights using a soft brush. I can explain the technique in detail if you like.
If you're talking about the full size trees full of leaves, those are assets that were made for use in Dundjinni a mapping program (now decidedly elderly). They're still available on the dundjinni forums, here for example. There are lots of others on there. I often go to Google images when I need map assets and do a search like "trees site:dundjinni.com" -- just substitute whatever you're looking for for the word "trees".
Back when I used Dundjinni archives.
https://www.vintyri.org/vintyri/djindex.htm
While the software is disfunct the forum is still going creating assets.
I used this map for most of my random encounters in Omu. Double your canvas size and mirror them to create a HUGE play area and a full boulevard. I probably used this map for 3-4 different encounters and just zoomed in on different parts as needed to make each one feel a little different.
I also found this amphitheater map to use for the King of Feathers. It's not a perfect match to the adventure's description but it seemed close enough to work.
As for Bag of Nails, I never had much luck finding a log bridge that really fit the bill. This one was the closest I could find, but then my players decided to water walk around the whole thing and I had to move the encounter.
After more than a year using my rather lackluster original recap page, my new creation is going live TONIGHT as a surprise to my players. I'll be sure to update with their reactions and feedback, and would love to hear yours!
Most art assets are from "Vile Tiles: Table Tops" by Gabriel Pickard.
https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/set/721/vile-tiles-table-tops
Open book asset from Katmagli on the Dundjinni forums.
http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=7788
You're bound to find something useful on the Dundjinni user forums. Try a search for "restaurant" in the thread title. Is this the sort of thing you are after?
I'm planning on running one too and trust me, Wuxia resources have been very hard to find. Personally I think Roll20's Village Tiles: Historic Japanese Village Pack is worth buying, as it gets you rooftops that are Japanese themed.
As for freebies, if you're not opposed to downloading and them uploading to roll20, I find the old Dunjinni Software Forums to be a great community resource. It had shut down for several years but it's back up again. Just searching in the User Creation forum with a keyword like Asian, Japanese/Japan, Oriental, China/Chinese etc will get you good results. Or just search for an item you are trying to find directly.
You can also try doing this in roll20's Art Library Search, but honestly anything it pulls from the web is actually from Dunjinni's Forum, only with less results.
A useful post from Dunjinni is this one http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=12754&KW=asian Or this one http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=11295&KW=asian
You can also try Cartographer's guild as a free resource, although I haven't had as much luck with their search engine.
Finally, if there's something you're trying to find but can't, pm me. I've been collecting Asian themed item jpegs/pngs from around the web for several months now in preparation for the new campaign. I do like my maps to be as realistic as possible, so they're all pretty 3D and not artwork. Good luck!
You may want to try google "Dundjinni scifi maps" it will get you a bunch, along with art assets.
http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/uploads/supercaptain/D4D_scifi-corridor_sc.jpg
https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f8/70/5f/f8705f0676ca95b0ff2031bd3ad70760.jpg
Also tried google: spacestation scifi maps
As far as what a maul is, just google "maul weapon fantasy" and take a look. There are many models that closely resemble what Saladin is holding in the poster. Like this one
Depending on how much time you'd like to throw at it, I've found that if I can't find a premade map I can ~~steal~~ borrow for private use, a combination of the roll20 mapmaking ui and components from places like dundjinni's forums has served well in the past.
I create some of them myself, but this takes quite a bit of time. Googling anything you want and adding "dundjinni" is usually pretty effective.
Another good site which hasn't been named so far is: www.rpgmapshare.com
And of course there's the dundjinni forum ( http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/ ), which is slow as hell, but probably has the most content of all the sources here. Look through the archives there to find lots of stuff.
Hey man, sorry to disappoint you, but none of the textures are from Skyrim.
The floor texture is from this site: http://www.filterforge.com/filters/11289.html
The outside bricks: http://www.filterforge.com/filters/5356.html
And the table was made by a user on this forum: http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=11512&PN=333&TPN=2
He posted that on 06/17/2009, making it impossible to be from Skyrim.
As for the stone wall texture, it seems the Filterforge website no longer hosts it. As to why, I do not know. It might possibly have been ripped out of Skyrim's textures, so I can't deny that one.
I use the Roll20 editor. I made a empty campaign only to search for textures and pictures. Most of them are from Dundjinni Forum. The software is not free, but there are a lot of user made art which is free to download. Just search for something and you will most probably find it. You could also use CGTextures, which is also free (the quality is not perfect, tho). I use this for more realistic textures.
I'm using it for a modern day Vampire campaign and here's how I have been getting modern / futuristic assets for it: http://www.rptoolstutorials.net/?page_id=23 http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/default.asp (use their search) http://www.google.com/images
Doesn't take too long and I can usually quickly and easily find something close to what I am looking for.
> A generic campsite just off the road, near a small river. Greytale made me a nice campfire (posted at his site "The Nook"), so I had to use it in a map right away! http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=9902&PN=1
Along with that great site, http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/default.asp I sometimes just google the terrain or item I want and add dundjinni(temple dundjinni) Also, using the google image search, I usually put in things like Dungeon map, then change the image size to things over 1024*768. Start getting some high quality ones. Change the word with map, ice, forest, town, village, whatever. Flickr and [deviantart also have some resources that pop up. I purchased some of the inkedadventures stuff from rpgdrivethru (alsogoogling billiam babble, the inked adventures guy, brings up his deviantart, old forums that he posts maps in, etc, some good samples and stuff there) and I cut those up in photoshop to make lots of different things. After that, googling heroquest and warhammer quest tiles, or different variations of "dungeon tile" snags quite a few options.
