Well, you're not the first one to figure out that YouTube is actually quite hard. You need a good content strategy, upload schedule and promotion strategy. If I look at your channel (in your profile), I definitely think there's potential in your presentation and the way you create your videos. But I also think there are things you can improve.
Your content is all over the place. Not two videos are the same, or even in the same category. People don't know what to expect from you, or what sets you apart from other YouTube channels. So they won't subscribe to you.
Your activity comes and go. You're currently in a phase where you've been very active, and that's good. But you have to keep it up for at least a couple of months in order to see some results. If you disappear for a few months (as you have done before on your channel), your subscribers will forget about you and won't watch your new content when you get back. So basically you've been starting over again and again.
Your SEO (search engine optimization) isn't good. You have to improve your descriptions and add two or three lines that tell viewers what the video is about. You need more and more specific tags, based on the keywords that people actually look for. The VidIQ plug-in can help you with that.
What is your promotional strategy? I don't see social media related to your channel. You should try that out. Also, ti's a good idea to subscribe to other YouTubers, like their videos and leave good comments. Every comment is a link to your channel, which could persuade people to pay you a visit, too.
So the most important thing for you is figuring out what your channel is about and how you can create a recognizable channel that really adds value to YouTube. Then you need to figure out how to get people to notice you. I wish you good luck with that.
https://vidiq.com/blog/post/how-to-monetize-youtube-channel-beginners-guide/
You wouldn't even be able to monetize your videos since your channel doesn't meet the requirements for it. So you can't really prove your argument by using that as an example.
I am not saying you are wrong. Just that immediately jumping into conclusions isn't fair to the other person. You can definitely question them, that's fine.
> Uu... se cumpara view-uri si like-uri in 2017?
Dracu stie. Nici una dintre parti nu imi par credile fara dovezi.
> Tare faza cu tag-urile. Nu poti sa zici ca omul nu este creativ. Daca nu in muzica, macar in marketing online.
M-am documentat si eu la treaba cu SEO pe Youtube si tag related. Am pus in aplicare ce am invatat si a crescut traficul de la Suggested Videos de la 2% la 10%.

Like I said above, your views and watch time still tells the algorithm to push out that video to more people. Which does support him since it improves his channel. Watch times regardless of if someone has ad-blocker or not can also influence how much money a YouTuber makes from any ads that people do watch. YouTube pushes out people with high watch times (People watching their videos in their entirety). Others things impact it but watch time is a big factor.
Here is a website talking about it: https://vidiq.com/blog/post/youtube-watch-time-secret-more-youtube-views-subscribers/
https://www.digitalinformationworld.com/2018/05/how-youtubes-watch-time-algorithm-works.html
If you want to "ethically" watch Shane's videos find re-uploads by people other than him. But like I said, can't stop you from supporting him.
i use seo to compare videos and tags and make my videos more attractive i use a tool called vid iq
its free version is shows you the tags of the top videos and what tags are more effective
and when you upload it has a little program that checks that your video is optimized for the search engine as in keywords in the title in the description and tags if anything its worth a shot it helped me get 600 impressions on my first video ever in a week so its legit as far as my concern
ill save you the trouble of looking for it if you want to check it out here's a link:
1) On Instagram, a lot of times people use the comments as a way to sneak them into their posting without being seen, instead of in the actual text box of the post, or the usual "." return "." trick to have it look cleaner and place them below the "more" button.
2) Have you tried using a YouTube plugin called TubeBuddy? It's really cheap and I use them for suggested tags all the time. Another option, you can install the VidIQ Vision plugin on Chrome and it will show you the tags used in any YouTube video. You can go look at videos similar to your own and copy some of their tags (as long as they are relevant). You can get it here: https://vidiq.com/apps/vision/
Sogar mehr, es sind 55%, und damit nicht weniger als bei Werbung.
> So for example, if one channel receives higher Watch Time than another, it gets a larger chunk of money. In the end, YouTube takes a 45% cut of a creator’s Premium earnings, just as it does for ad-generated revenue.
i'm not talking about that money. where did that money come from anyways? i'm talking about the money from corporations. they're the ones ~~bribing~~ lobbying to have the laws written how they want. doesn't matter who wins what, the same corporations are in their pocket.
> Voices make all the noise.
that's all they do unfortunately, just noise. i'd like to see a change too, but it just doesn't work that way. people sign some petition on change.org and are done with it.
> money doesn’t talk much...
pretty wrong and naive imo.as long as there's money to be made, these greedy corporations will jump on it. they didn't care about twitch before, but now twitch is getting bigger so twitch became a target for them. this DMCA stuff already happened on youtube before, and now if a streamer/content creator uses music that youtube's algorithm detect is copyrighted, then the copyright holder gets the revenue for the entire video, not the video uploader. https://vidiq.com/blog/post/youtube-copyright-claim-copyright-strike/
doesn't matter what people think, that's the way these things work. it's all business. the only way for this to change(imo, could be totally wrong) is for people to stop using copyright music and either create their own music or use music where other people have published with creative license. once the demand for the copyright music goes down, then they'll want to negotiate. otherwise you're just naive if people can just band together and have a voice for them to care
I really like the editing style. It is very fast paced and funny.
Some things I look at are the tags and description. It never hurts to put as many tags as you can in the description. Ranked tags and high volume tags means that you video has a higher chance of showing up when someone searches that certain thing (or something similar).
The description is a bit short. Definitely a place where key words factor in! A good practice is having about 2 lines describing the video and to get high volume key words in your description (GET THEM CLICKS)
(sorry if this is a bit long) I use VidIQ to help me out with uploading a video, definitely worth a try! https://vidiq.com/
There are always times where you wont gain much, that means you need to be more consistent. You need to be more than satisfied with your videos everytime you upload. If you think that the video you just finished is better than your last, than by all means upload it!
A lot of gaining comes from trying to get into Youtube's algorithm. VidIQ gives you a checklist to help you get the best possible result! I recommend it. https://vidiq.com/
If you're new to the platform then I highly recommend VidIQ's 30 day course. It's free. They cover all the different aspects of how to set up and manage your channel in a format that's very easy to digest. I'm not affiliated with them or anything, but even as someone who wasn't new to YouTube I still think their course offers a lot of value.
Huch. Kann man? Ich hab da selbst kein Konto und hab das noch nie gesehen. Wie peinlich...
Ja, scheint zu stimmen.
> Go to the ‘Videos’ tab where you’ll see a list of your uploads, with the most recent first. Select the video that you want to amend the likes to dislikes count for, and then click on the advanced tab at the top.
> Now there’s just a very simple change required on this screen. If you scroll down, you should see a checkbox that says users can view ratings for this video.
https://vidiq.com/blog/post/how-to-hide-likes-dislikes-youtube-videos-2019/
This is a hoax, Youtube is not going to delete your channel or account. The new terms of service say they can remove Youtube features that don't make money, like annotations.
https://vidiq.com/blog/post/youtube-premium-creator-revenue/
I watched an independent review of both, and they recommended VidIQ for new channels. DEFINITELY don't BUY a subscription to either of them! They both have free versions with a ton of free features!
I use VidIQ, even though I have an affiliate link, I recommend not getting the paid version (and therefore earning me money) because you will be swamped with great free features as is: https://vidiq.com/enchantedessays
BTW, what's your upload schedule?
Tube buddy and VidIQ are the two big ones. I have an affiliate link for VidIQ, but I actually wouldn't recommend buying an upgrade (and therefore earning me money). There are a ton of free features that are more than enough, especially with what your looking for: https://vidiq.com/enchantedessays
Neither.
But both have (or sponsor) podcasts, and there is some useful information to be had in those (some of which comes from interviews with other creators)
https://vidiq.com/blog/category/tubetalk-podcast/
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjDiH-DyHWC1YLwDhsTUPhWy6turb8wuH
I highly recommend using one. Then you can see what tags other people are using and even copy them. The two big ones are Tube Buddy and VidIQ. Both are free with paid upgrades (as they have lots of other features).
I have an affiliate link for VidIQ, but I honestly think the free version has more than enough features: https://vidiq.com/enchantedessays
While you'll likely get an automated copyright claim, you generally won't get a copyright strike which is the main issue you want to avoid with youtube. Pretty much all my amvs on Youtube have copyright claim, but that just means I can't monetize them and in some cases the vid *may* be blocked in certain countries. You can read more about it here:
https://vidiq.com/blog/post/youtube-copyright-claim-copyright-strike/
Sure. SEO is "Search engine optimisation" so you want to be researching popular search terms for cricket and then building content around these ideas. You then use popular key terms and phrases in your title and description to help tell YouTube what your video is about. This will help your content to become "discoverable" on YouTube to help it appear in search results.
For example, if people are actively searching for "Best Cricket Catches of All Time", then your title would be close to being what is called "Optimised for search (SEO)" hence the phrase SEO. You can use services such as vidIQ to get this type of information. This type of service will also give you SEO title and description ideas to help you with SEO.
Those are not required to make a #short as per Youtube's and VidIQ's articles on it. Funnily enough while double checking my comment I noticed that the article you shared isn't even fucking correct! When it comes to how the specifics of Youtube actually work I trust VidIQ over this site and here is a very short and easy to understand run through. Let's start with the misconceptions in your article first though. These are also from VidIQ.
> • You can create, edit, and upload a Short using any device. YouTube will recognize Shorts created with a smartphone, DSLR, iPad, or any other video-recording device. When you’re ready to upload, a smartphone or desktop computer will suffice.
> • It doesn’t matter if you include #Shorts in the title or description of your video. YouTube encourages it, but it won’t keep your video from being recognized as a Short.
> • You don’t need any previous views or subscribers to create a YouTube Short. There are no minimum requirements for creating short, vertical videos.
Now let's look at what is actually required
> To play it safe, make your Short no longer than 58 seconds. That’ll ensure you don’t exceed the 60-second limit.
>The dimensions of a Short are also important. Through various experiments on the vidIQ Shorts channel, we’ve discovered that Shorts must be a perfect square (1080 x 1080 pixels) or vertical. If your video is even one pixel wider than it is tall, YouTube won’t classify it as a Short.
> Those two details are all YouTube needs to classify your video as Short.
What could be more beautiful than clouds running across the sky? You lie in the grass and look at the sky, and there are fluffy clouds. One just wants to rise into the sky and soar! Wonderful relaxing music for sound sleep, yoga, massage, spa and more. Allow yourself to be alone and enjoy the magic music, among the clouds.
Do you want your YouTube channel to take off? welcome to the club of successful youtubers https://vidiq.com/? afmc = Alonewithmyself
Personal Stuff - It very much depends on what topic your current channel covers. You need to consider why your viewers watch your existing content. Would they expect you to upload your own music? If you can give more detail as to what topics you currently cover and the content you upload, then you'd probably get a more specific answer for this question.
SEO - Honestly, SEO really isn't that difficult to pick up. I worked as an SEO Specialist before starting my own channel and when it comes to YouTube, implementing SEO is very straight forward.
I don't know your current level of understanding in regards to SEO so I would first recommend you check out vidIQ before you look to hire someone to do the work for you. You could end up spending hundreds of dollars on an SEO Specialist when you could potentially do it yourself.
If you have any other questions I might be able to help with then feel free to ask.
There is a button you press saying not for kids. Here’s an article I found you can get demonizase but nothing that drastic. Also just starting out no one will care just be careful and use good judgement https://vidiq.com/blog/post/how-likely-fine-youtube-ftc-coppa/
Definitely bring something different to the table in your videos. Doesnt hurt to put your own personality into your videos. (Show off your niches!)
If its structure you are going for, there are some very good extensions to boost your videos in youtube's algorithm. VidIQ is epic, TubeBuddy is pretty good. (I linked VidIQ) https://vidiq.com/
For editing a video, you should never be afraid to increase the volume of your clips, best if they were louder and quiet!
Presentation wise, the structure of your videos is VERY important. Start your video with a funny moment from the video and transition that to a title card or your twitch link. Than put another clip to where you want the actual video to start, after that, its optional for you to tell people to subscribe or not (really depends on your numbers).
Tags and hashtags for your video go a long way. I've put this in like 3 posts already lmao, but VidIQ helps with that, even gives you a checklist on how to make your video better when you are about to upload it. https://vidiq.com/
Youtube shorts is basically the YouTube version of tiktok. It’s a 60 sec or less video and it gets promoted way better on YouTube for some reason. I’d definitely advise you to check it out
Remember last year when ISIS uploaded that video and there was a Ford ad in front of it? And everyone freaked out because Ford was essentially funding terrorism?
I think they stoped letting normal people put monetize their videos after that.
https://vidiq.com/blog/post/how-to-monetize-youtube-channel-beginners-guide/
Do you need 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time in the past year.
Maybe videos can still have ads but the creator doesn’t get the money. That would be unmonetized and still have ads. But I doubt YT can do that. YouTube would be being funded by terrorism in that case.
Maybe I don’t see my own ads
https://youtube.com/user/TheDemonHobo
None of the videos should have ads because I never asked for monetization.

Doing a bit of digging and this might be the most definite answer I can find:
>What if you have a video that was public? Let's say you do a livestream and then you want to set that livestream to unlisted. If the video is set to unlisted or private, do the views that you gained whilst it was public still count towards the Watch Time hours? And YouTube's answer was yes.
You can find this quote from a vidIQ article here. Besides that, you get random answers by random people. So, according to YouTube according to that article, it doesn't matter. I wouldn't be surprised if it does give you issues though, so I think you should do it at your own risk.
Hey there,
Thanks for your submission. Before we start, I have to admit that I do not like Omegle. I think it's an awkward medium and I try to stay away from it as much as possible. So I may be a bit biased against content that features it heavily :).
That said, I do think your videos are fun to watch, and you have an energetic personality which is great for a quiz show. The editing is fun to watch and there's a good pace in the videos. I think it's a good idea to add more variety to it instead of just the trick questions, but you can apply the same format to a lot of other Omegle games.
I also think you did a good job on your channel design, with a recognizable style which suits you very well. You just show a lot of energy and personality in your whole YouTube presentation, and that's great.
As for SEO, I think you should try to think about what keywords you find people to find your videos on. I think "Omegle Quiz" should be one of them, so be sure to use that phrase in your titles, descriptions and tags. Also include other keywords that match your content. The free YouTube tool VidIQ (https://vidiq.com) can help you with that.
I think you're doing a pretty good job for your first month. If you keep up the good work, if you're able to keep a consistent upload schedule and if you also use your other social media to cross promote your YouTube content, you should have no problem getting to at least 300 to 500 subscribers before the end of the year.
In August 2020, the CEO of Braille Skateboarding, Devin Weber, was interviewed on this podcast - https://vidiq.com/blog/post/skateboarding-channel-5-million-youtube-subscribers/. She can be heard pimping Jason Semmel (aka, “Fetty Potter”), who she fired in September 2019 yet has still never made a public statement about. She brags about how savvy she is for knowing that $10k challenge videos were trending on YouTube, so she had “a team rider known for breaking stuff” (that’s Jason Semmel, FYI) do a video trying to break a safe open for $10k. She claims this video got a million views in 48 hours; however, here is the video from February 2019, and it still doesn’t have a million views! Yet I bet it’s still monetized. Good job Devin Weber - way to keep cashing in on a 26 year old guy you fired last year for allegedly being in a relationship with a 14 year old.
I use VidIQ https://vidiq.com?afmc=62l but you can also use a tool like TubeBuddy as well.
But importantly you should go to the top performing NON FAMOUS channels and try and figure out how they are ranking. Check to see if they have a website or blog, are they backlinking as well. What's the encagement? Tags? Description? Where they just the first to an underserved market kinda thing.
We're just normal people, so don't feel honored haha.
You can (and should) use them now. You just need to confirm/verify your YT account.
Think this should point you in the right direction: https://vidiq.com/blog/post/how-to-enable-custom-thumbnails-youtube/
Canva works pretty well. Now we just use lightroom or even premiere pro to edit our thumbnails and add text. Thumbnails are really important, don't underestimate it.
Look at it this way: you can create the best video ever created, but how are people supposed to view it if you don't have a great thumbnail/title to entice them to view it. It's like making really great food, but if it doesn't look good, people aren't very likely to taste or eat it.
That and learning what is in demand by checking out other channels are the two single most important things.
Number three would be to just be you.
I found links in your comment that were not hyperlinked:
I did the honors for you.
^delete ^| ^information ^| ^<3
That's great. First of all, try finding out different brands of art that are really trending. then Create tutorial on them or on a specific type you can best flow and have value to offer.
Make sure whatsoever you offer should be geared towards helping those in need, and doing that patiently for it to carry the value suitable enough to bring them the exact solution they need.
By this, you will not only get engaging audiences but win their trust which will go a long way to bring more audience and in turn enhance your progress.
Secondly, look for topics or titles that are unique to your tutorial.
Thirdly use this "vidIQ" App to optimize you video for it to gain ranking on YouTube for more exposure. This app is a special gift for Youtube SEO. Click here to sign up for free to start using it and with time you can then upgrade for better result.
Follow carefully all I have told you and you will certainly see great result.
There are certain rules regarding how many subscribers and views you have. Here’s a list

It's suggested that a decent click through rate is between 2% and 10% but there's a lot of factors in this.
Check this article out for a longer and more comprehensive answer.
Let's take Mr Beast, who is the main subject of this thread, and look at his generosity. Because it was him I was thinking of when I said "hundreds of thousands a month" earlier
This vlog talks about how he more or less donated 1 mil as of June 2019, so let's say that number has increased to around 2.5 mil, considering his antics have been much more extravagant lately.
Plus, he just gave away 1 million flat, so let's bump that number to 3.5 million dollars just given away.
Let's use your 3% as basis. If we work backwards, 3.5mil/0.03 = 116 million dollars.
Idc who you are, YouTube is NOT that profitable.
At most you're seeing $1/1000 views, counting on all videos being monetized, so with his 4.5 billion views / 1000 that's only 4.5 Million dollars.
Even if his ratio was $3 / 1000, which is quite high, his new value is only 13.5 million. And lastly let's be very very generous and say his sponsors across all platforms gives him 6.5 mil in the time he was popular, making his value from 11 mil - 20 mil
(I'm almost certain hes a successful investor, but that's out of my own inference.)
Finally, let's say most of his revenue came from YouTube, and let's find the happy medium of 15.5 mil in his bank account.
3.5mil donated/15.5 mil earned = 22.5% of his earnings are just thrown away.
Obvious disclaimer: many of the numbers are ball parked, and arent likely to be 100% accurate, but if anything, they are higher than they should be, meaning the final percentage is likely higher.
TL:DR - Mr Beast is generous, lumping him with the clickbait youtubers who do give away a tiny fraction of their money is disingenuous
It is YouTubes fault really. Basically YouTubes algorithm recommends content based on watch data, kids watch videos about toys and thus are recommended roy reviews which feature personalized "targeted marketing", that is what's illegal. If they don't comply with removing targeted marketing from their content they can be fined. If they so comply there's an estimated 60-90% drop in potential income. It's part of COPPA and here's a tldr for youtube: https://vidiq.com/blog/post/coppa-kids-content-youtube/
Please source and how are videogame videos targetting children????? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-08-20/youtube-plans-to-end-targeted-ads-to-kids-to-comply-with-ftc https://vidiq.com/blog/post/ftc-youtube-kids-content/
This is the only thing I could find and ending ads targeted to kids is a whole lot different than "taking stuff down"
It's very easy to get tags, find a popular channel that similar to your content, https://vidiq.com or Tubuddy extension to your chrome browser, once you open a popular content that similar to your channel, the extension will bring the tags.
For the rating preview I can recommend the vidIQ extension. Also shows some other info like subscriber count next to comments.
https://i.imgur.com/akoZKXx.png https://i.imgur.com/9o32V9E.png
I'm not sure why your content can't be found at all (normally you would expect it to show up some way or the other). But you really need to improve your metadata. Make your descriptions longer and include something about your channel in every description, too. Use 15 to 20 good, relevant tags and make sure to add your channel name to your tags, too. You did that somehow, but you spelled it wrong, so people can't find your content when they search for your channel.
You can check out the VidIQ plugin (https://vidiq.com) to keep track of how you're doing with Search Engine Optimization. Make some changes, wait a few days and see how your score goes up.
Looking back it's actually 85% and not 95%... Every single certified YouTube expert has stated this after meeting with Team YouTube. Which a lot of them are on the Parent Panel at YouTube. They go straight to YouTube corporate and meet with Team YouTube for all the stats and updates regarding kids changes.
I sat down and found the exact spot for that video but I'm not wasting my time on the other ones... Do some research.
Benji Travis - Video Influencers
Tim Schomyer recently did a live stream stating this.
VidIq just released a podcast with Shaun McKnight stating this exact thing.
At first, you may feels a little difficult. but you must find ur own character and identity during this process. there are too many YouTube channels. if u always do sth similar to others, nobody will pay attention to u. you can try to find some funny topic or the real amazing thing u have happened and keep honest!
when u have accelerated some subs, remember to use some YouTube analytics tools like noxinfluencer、socialblade、vidiq and so on.these tools can help u optimize ur channel.
Finally,good luck!
first i would look at the video i made if its a quality video (i assume yours is) so moving on id check the thumbnail....i think it has less to do with analytics...analytics are just here to help you see if your video is headed the right direction what i would do first i think is check my impressions this is key(its inside the analytics page)....impressions just means that your video is popping up to search results if it isn't then you might need to change the tags and keywords because the search engine is not showing your videos but if you get lots of impressions and still your video does badly then its more to do with the title thumbnail or you categorized the video in the wrong place aka tags/keywords/ if all seems to be in good order then you might have uploaded at an unusual time or you need be getting better tags id suggest looking up a few videos that are doing good in your neish check the tags on all of them and see the most commonly used ones these are the ones that people search for the most you can look up tags using the source code of a video or if you don't have the time to be doing that just get a browser add-on
honestly there are a lot of them out there most are paid but i personally use the free version of vidiq its still usable and effective if you know what you're doing
it puts the tags under the videos in the search results....and it helps you optimize your video in favor of the youtube algorithm if you're interested check it out or watch videos on how to use it and if its worth your time...anyways if you're interested in vidiq ill save you the trouble of looking it up heres a link :D
see for yourself...it helped me get my first ever video (mind you a shitty ass video) in front of 600 people in the first day so if anything i think its worth a shot...cheers let me know how it goes
In this video, you will discover how to create a viral video that will get you lots and lots of views on Youtube. The software you are going to need is vidIQ. vidIQ is a chrome extension that provides on-the-spot analytical video data as well as tools to help you research the best topics and manage your YouTube channel. You can get this software at vidiq.com. And to learn how to put this to work with vidIQ.you need this viral traffic software
Don't just watch this video but see that you take action with this.
There are various tools out there. Go to vidiq.com and get their free tool and free Chrome add in. You can see tags of other videos then. Since these are musical artists, obviously tag their names. But you might also want to use phrases like "Gus Dapperton music review" or "Clairo exclusive review" - just using their names might be too general. Also look at the tags of popular videos by other YouTubers about these artists and see what tags they use. Similar or the same tags in your videos might get you recommended off of them.
This is honestly the best practice I could offer you. There is a lot you can do by branding yourself on social medias such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and Reddit. But if you are honestly wanting to grow without any form of connecting with an outside audience, then grasping for the lower-hanging fruit that unpopular keywords is your best bet.
If you're creating videos daily, then it might make sense to make each video revolve around keywords that COULD be popular or are currently getting semi-decent amount of searches with low/no competition. But it's honestly a slow growth with this form in mind only, it also requires luck to grow relatively fast. Tools such as VIDIQ and MorningFame are built to specifically help you find the best keyword, but they can cost about $7 a month to use.
you could use this https://vidiq.com/ its a chrome extension and works VERY well with youtube for example when you're uploading a video it will give you the most recommended tags to put in which = more views
and also you can see all the other info on other channels or videos! its free but you can get an upgrade I wouldn't really recommend it considering it already helps you enough.
