Stupid questions are encouraged here. Also that's not a stupid question, it is however a frequently asked question. So there's this neat little app on the google play store called "Screener". It's full of neat minimalist phone templates, for you to overlay your screenshots.
Liking the minimalist amoled look a lot!
Also, using Screener for the presentation with the Note 8 template if you'd like to frame your own screenshot!+
Edit: Here is a live view
You can use Photoshop. Apart from that we have an app named Screener. It's easy and simple enough to provide a showcasing of a setup. Try it up. I have given u the g link.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.toastcode.screener
The app is called "Screener - Better Screenshots, " and is available on Google Play. I found out about it on here, from other redditors using it. Other than not having a dedicated overlay for the Note 9 yet, it's pretty sweet.
Nova Launcher may seem overwhelming at first, but it's actually really easy to use. Don't forget to install screener, so when you're done customizing you can show off your theme in style.
From the description of the app:
"Screener lets you stick screenshots in device frames and add backgrounds and effects in a snap. Promote your app, wallpaper or simply your homescreen - easy as never before, wIthout any need of PC software."

It seems that your comment contains 1 or more links that are hard to tap for mobile users. I will extend those so they're easier for our sausage fingers to click!
Here is link number 1 - Previous text "app"

Thanks! Ahaha, it's actually the Graphite 6P. The app I used for the screenshot only had the aluminum frame, and I suppose the lighting made the graphite a bit more reflective.
Nu stiu daca zice in FAQ dar pentru screenshot-urile cum le vezi acolo poti folosi Screener , nu prea a fost actualizata de ceva vreme , dar e mai bine decat sa le faci in Photoshop
Just switched back to iPhone after 2 years with android. Looking for an app like Screener. Is their an app that lets you put screenshots into device frames and add backgrounds and effects?
There are some apps which put your Screenshot in the model of a phone. You can try contacting the dev for those apps.
Ex.
1 - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.toastcode.screener
2 - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.f2prateek.dfg
Added the wallpaper link in the top post, didn't go through on the first try for some reason. I used Screener app to make the screencap.
There's an app called Screener that does what you mentioned, BUT it's hasn't been updated in 2 years. So you probably won't find any of the latest phone models.
I use Snapmod as it has almost all of the current phones, but screener is also an option I still use, I actually used it for my most current project.
I did the same thing as you and used a different device anyways lol but thought I'd give you another option you might not have known about (:
They use screener. Essentially, you take a screenshot, open the app, choose what phone you want to use to model your screenshot, and work from there.
Pros: Great app for making beautiful screenshots in just a few minutes. It is free and has no ads.
Cons: you need to download device frames which can take a lot of storage. And for app developers, one needs to send the screenshots from their phone to their desktop to upload to Google PLay and other sites.
BTW used screener 3D option to make the screenshot look real gooood!

Thanks man! very much appreciated, as for the preview, i did some editing magic, as in photoshop and after effects. Lemme explain.
I first made a normal screener screenshot and then took it to photoshop where i took out the wallpaper and the screenshot inside the phone and only kept the phone itself, and when that was done i took it to after effects and put this gradient wallpaper at the very back, then the video and the phone on top of it.
Sorry if my tutorial is shit, if you still don't understand something feel free to ask.
Screener allows you to frame your screenshots with a photo of your phone. Here's an example.
It's a stylized version of the Galaxy S6, which has that home button shape. It's from Screener.
If you're talking about how to get the picture of your phone, you can use something like screener

Usually Photoshop. You can get these mockups for most popular phones. I found that one on deviantart (though I changed a bunch of things, couldn't find a good one for the Z3C). Then you just have to place your screenshot in there, and change the background.
However, I just learned there are also some apps that make those for you! I didn't use it because I wanted to do the side-screens-thing, but check out screener. It's in beta though, so you might have to join the google plus community to even be able to see the app.
You can try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.toastcode.screener

It's from the Screener app. I'm using the S8 one myself.

This is a 3 page theme for Kustom Live Wallpaper.
When I started out, I had this idea to make it look like a smartwatch interface, hence the circular navigation.
I've used Screener app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.toastcode.screener&hl=en) to put the screenshots inside device frames, in this case Nexus 6P.

Sure! Thank you for your interest.
You can find the links to the apps I mention in this 'tutorial', in my first comment.
Install Nova Launcher, I have the paid version but for this theme the free one will do.
Download Dashclock and add the Dashclock widget to your home screen. Search for the appearance of my clock by sliding right when you add the widget.
Download Zooper Widget, and again, I have the paid version but I'm sure that the free version will do. Once you got it, add a Zooper Widget widget and resize it to a square.
Tap the empty Zooper widget and add a rect (rectangle) and make it as wide and high as the box in the preview goes. Then scroll down to and select 'outline' and set it to 30 or so. Just tap it until you get a nice clean outline.
Once you created the outlined rectangle, go back and tap the + at the top of your screen. Scroll down to and add a bitmap image and download my link from my first comment called 'wallpaper inside the box'. (Or use your own wallpaper ofcourse.) Make it as wide and high until it hits your outline. Also mind the opacity, don't know for sure but I think I've had it set to about 25%. Just play with the opacity until it feels right.
Install Flight Lite icon pack, also linked above, then add 9 icons to your home screen and long press one of them. Tap customize and select the Flight Lite icon pack. There you can choose any icon to assign to that app. You can also go into the Nova Launcher settings and tap 'Look and feel' there you can choose your default icon pack. It may be that not every icon is covered that is why you can customize them yourself as well.
Flight Lite also got a sweet 'App Drawer' icon like the one I used, they show app drawer icons at the top of the icon pack page. So just long press your home screen, tap widgets in the bottom right corner and select Add Nova Action or something similar to that. You can then select 'App Drawer' and the app drawer icon will be added to your home screen. If it wasn't already there.
And that's it. Now you've got a great looking home screen! I hope I was clear enough with this little 'tutorial'. If you have any question at all, I'll be glad to help you with it.
The app I used to make the phone around my screenshot is called Screener. I'd love to see what you made of it once you're done. :)
Good luck!
~~[Edit: grammar and formatting]~~
Screener is another good one if you want a more minimal looking mock up. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.toastcode.screener&hl=en
What do you use to get a finished photo like this! I used to use an app called screener on Android.
Okay, so the imei match on both the phone and box, so do the s/n on the receipt and phone. Could it be because it's unlocked? And the app to make screenshots like that is called Screener
