Amazon Still Sells To Train a Child
Personally, I'm writing a letter to them to get this manual on child abuse taken down. This is disgusting. Who's with me?
I would have changed the name and done a total rebranding. Social media was a bust but profiles would have had to stay up since so many bands still had/have active profiles. All active users would have been moved over to the new site with a new name and there would have been a very clear mission statement. Any old employees who had a problem would have been given a severance package and sent on their way since they were all a huge road block when it came to moving away from the old Myspace. I also would have pushed original content from day one since that's what people seemed to like about the new Myspace or at least what got us the most traffic. I would have made a much better launch ad than this piece of shit, one that actually explained what the new site was all about, maybe even not mentioning the old myspace at all even though everyone would have known since we would have had to notify all current users of the change. Finally I would never have launched the new site without iPhone and Android apps. It took us 6 months to get an iPhone app out and over a year for Android, very amateur.
here is the one I have. I’ve had 5 friends buy it after seeing mine. You won’t be able to shit anywhere else after using this. Good luck
Here's a pretty cheap one i found, adding it to my wasp preparedness kit
I hope your smart enough to fight fight fight . I was in your shoes 10 years ago. With 2 small kids , I had to pay 33% of my income which was 40K. I paid 1200 per month. She ran off with another man, and I stood a block away pretending to go to work and saw her kiss and drive off. I took her to court, fought for my kids custody and could not see them because she tried pulling a restraining order. Judge thru it out. I was pro se in court using some of these documents http://www.4shared.com/office/xhHOfzG-ba/01-Pro-Se-class.html and kept her attorney on her feet. I quit my job and went to school all legally telling the judge I could make more money afterwards. Well 10 years later I got my phd, not a single penny goes to her, because my kids are now past 18. Smartest move anyone can do.
The movie is called "Turner Risk" and it is available Amazon, iTunes, Google Play Store, Vudu, and more.

Assuming you're an American, you're legally required to either obtain health insurance or pay an exemption fee of 2% of your annual income, which in your case is over $5,000. (This fee is going up to 2.5% next year.) You can definitely get health insurance for less than 5 grand a year, so I recommend you do that before the IRS notices and makes you pay.
Also, just because you haven't gotten sick yet doesn't mean you never will. Nor does it mean you're immune from accidents, including those caused by other people. Regardless of legal issues, health insurance is a good investment and one that you can now easily afford.
I'm really sorry that happened mate it's horrible for you seeing that happen to her. Are you sure he's bipolar rather than just having an abusive personality The two are often confused with each other. Either way I really suggest getting why does he do that by Lundy bancroft it's a fantastic book
This is a great question and actually ties into what got me so excited about giving 10% with Giving What We Can. Some charities can be much more effective than others in part because of how they operate but often mostly because of the problem they are tackling; is it a problem that affects hundreds of people or billions? how much does it affect them? how easy is it to tackle with money (if it's cheaper you can do more with your money).
I recommend a book called Doing Good Better by Will MacAskill that covers this idea. This review of it probably sums it up though.
Hi there! Substance abuse research professional with a background in behavioral pharmacology here! We real psychologists laugh at people that think Psychology Today is anything more than entertainment. Turns out cannabis does produce physical dependence (as you'd know if you'd bothered to do even a cursory scan of Google Scholar results) and intoxication does result in what are typically considered detrimental behavioral and cognitive effects (though anyone who has ever gotten high knows this already). Also, I've never encountered a professional that distinguishes between physiological dependence and "psychological dependence", whatever the hell that is.
Science is fun! Remember to base your opinions on facts, kids!

Think about spending some time on the Hacker News site, especially the Ask section: https://news.ycombinator.com/ask
See what others have asked in the past and think about formulating your question (maybe even referencing this AMA) and get advice from folks on resources, what to focus on, etc.
There's a lot of demand (everywhere) for iOS/Android developers; you could teach yourself (computer, books, sites, online courses, etc.) and start doing simple projects (for yourself) that work, and then use those as a portfolio for consulting on Odesk/Elance.
Best of luck to you.
I think that my fear is not to the side of seeing GitHub fill up with banner ads: this is clearly something that Microsoft would not do (i.e. this is a bad monetization strategy and would ruin a good tool). I am speculating, but given that this is what Microsoft does to its operating system, it is not unreasonable to worry that we may see GitHub suggest Microsoft as a PaaS provider for some promo and/or certain kinds of integrations that provide features that work only with Microsoft products (but otherwise may be more powerful if other vendors could use those APIs). I hear that MSFT dogfoods Windows a lot, which I find strange, I suppose I don't represent all software engineers but I feel that I'd be very angry if someone suggested putting ads in the core OS file browser of all things... I doubt that people did not speak up about this and remain surprised that OS ads are actively shipping. I know developers don't want that, and seeing that kind of miss really turns a lot of folks off of things in the Microsoft ecosystem. While VS is awesome, in 2018 it is not awesome enough to warrant using an OS with ads. There are great alternatives out there.
Flocking off of GitHub at the current stage is silly, but people will leave if they smell this kind of thing happening. For a community that involves crazy people like me chanting "Stallman was right!", this is going to be a really tough sell.
heh... no that particular scenario works just fine for sighted people as well :-P
btw, have you got an Android device? I stumbled across this game a while back and quite enjoyed it.. no sight needed. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dowino.ABlindLegend
I went to the preview prices page and entered some information:
Zip: 53001 Your Age: 24 F, Parent of Child under 18 Dependents: 1 Child Age: 4, Female
(I just made up the data based on what you told me and did not check the 'offered insurance through employer box')
Based on this, you are eligible for a plan $444 tax credit, which means you can get a bronze plan for $0 per month or a silver plan for $58 per month. There's a silver plan in there for $0.58 per month and no deductible as well.
The reason it's telling you that you're not eligible is because you are checking the box that says you're offered health coverage through your job, however, based on what you've told me, this does not meet the definition of "affordable coverage", so you should still be able to get coverage on the exchange. I would call up the exchange and ask them what to do about this. When I quit my job, I was offered coverage through COBRA, but they told me because it did not meet the affordability requirements (COBRA was $800/mo), I was eligible to sign up through the exchange anyway and qualified for subsidies.
If I remember correctly, at some point during the process when you fill out your actual application (not just the estimate tool), it will ask you about coverage through your employer and there is a box to mark that says it's not affordable. I'd still call them and do it over the phone though, because you don't want to owe a bunch of money on your taxes for doing something wrong.
Because your income is so close to 100% FPL, you may want to consider not putting money into retirement (or if you do, put it into a ROTH IRA which is not tax deductible now, but you won't pay taxes when you retire). FYI, you will also no longer qualify for an HSA, since the plans your getting don't meet the "high deductible" amounts required.
What's the story with this?
buzzfeed has a pretty good summary here.
Basically, 4chan ordered a pizza to Balloon Boy's house during the whole fiasco for lulz, hoping to see the delivery driver on the news, which they succeeded in doing. basically one of my favorite 4chan pranks in it's weird frivolity.
GitLab allows free private repos, but incentivises open-source in another way - open source repos get the paid plan for free, if you want those same features in a private project you have to pay for it.
It's a great way of doing it I think. I have quite a few personal projects that would be useless to anyone else that I literally just need somewhere to keep them, I don't need any fancy features for them. The free private repos are a great thing for that.
On the other hand, I have some open source projects that I use GitLab's CI and CD features for and could really do with the more advanced features that come with the paid plans.
>physically dependent
FTFY. And even that's debatable.
Addiction, however, is a self-diagnosed disease. Considering that you can become addicted to something as simple as gambling, addiction to any psychoactive (including weed) isn't far-fetched. It's anecdotal, but I've known a few people who have sought help through programs like NA for weed.
Just because THC has therapeutic effects does not mean that it is always good. Meth has a therapeutic dose. So does any opiate. As does alcohol. When your weed use is causing problems in your life, and you can't stop or cut-back when you try to, it's causing more harm than good. Sure, acute toxicity is incredibly high. The same thing applies to tobacco.
Unfortunately, the conversation prior to setting out didn’t prepare Lindsay for u/thejjthejerjjjthej to hop in-front-of rather than on.
It's a free visual novel made by a group of 4chan users in which the protagonist is diagnosed with arrhythmia and is transferred to a school for the disabled. The player can enter a relationship with several of the girls there (a deaf-mute girl, a blind girl, a girl with no arms, a girl amputated below the knee on both legs, and a girl with burn scars over half of her body) and each has a story to go along with it.
Given its origins and subject matter the game was of course at first met with skepticism, but has since been well-regarded for its tasteful handling of the characters' disabilities and their relationships (and for "the feels"). I love it, personally, so I couldn't help but ask what you thought of it, even if that may have been in poor taste.

There is a Louis Theroux documentary called Mothers on the Edge that followed a group of mums in a specialist psychiatric units in the UK. I was so pleased to see the mothers were able to be with their children. I'm sorry that wasn't the case for you. Were you able to express milk for your baby? I remember that on occasions when I wasn't able to it gave me anxiety.
Just go to the front desk and ask to buy a day pass. If you’re prepared to do a little work you may be able to get in for free.

If you live in a state that expanded Medicaid and you have a modified adjusted gross income below $16,642, you qualify for Medicaid, which is free. In states with managed care, Medicaid just pays your entire premiums and deductibles to a private insurance company of your choosing (Harvard Pilgrim, Blue Cross Blue Shield, etc...), and you are covered by the insurer just like everyone else.
$16,642 MAGI is about $26k before taxes with a standard deduction and personal exemption. You can earn more if you put the money into retirement accounts, or you have other deductions, such as student loan interest deduction.
This should not be considered financial advice because every situation is different, but hopefully this gives you an idea of where you stand.

Norway is a country that is for integrating the foreign refugees and immigrants. There are some politicians that have stated that they want to admit fewer refugees, but they are not the ruling party. It is the ruling party and their youth camp that has been attacked.

If you're interested in computer programming, I'd recommend Udacity. Pretty clear instructions, and they have a wide range of online classes ranging from basic programming to being an Android or iOS developer.
They match you to others with samples, but you will be amazed at how many genetic relatives pop up. I guarantee you will have 3rd or 4th cousins, and often people will have a family tree to view on their profile. You can also send them messages. There are a ton of people on there, it's not a small community and it grows daily.
There have been a lot of interesting stories on there. If your curious, just google it (it's a Google product essentially). Check out their website, see if it would be for you, read the stories, etc.... https://www.23andme.com/
>SFW pictures of kids is crossing a line. Shouldn't involve real children at all.
>
>Avoid real children.
Why? Where's the harm?
>An argument to be made that its worse, on you personally, than the porn type, since it gets you "used to" looking at normal, clothed, children and getting off, thinking that way.
Studies show that even actual CSAM doesn't correlate to an increased risk of contact offending. However, viewing CSAM is harmful, because a child was abused to create it & in viewing you are complicit in their revictimization. With SFW photos, no child is harmed.
I would recommend checking out Scratch. It is a good and relatively simple intro to basic programming concepts.
Once you have an understanding of if statements, loops, etc. Python may be a nice language to look into. It is a pretty common choice in intro to programming courses in colleges these days. There are quite a few blog posts out there on why this is the case.
After Python, I'd would look into a C-like language. Probably C#, Java, or maybe C++. I'm a .NET / web dev by day, so C# gets my vote, but Java is used in Android development if that interests you. Once you learn one of these, it's pretty easy to pick up on the others.
Op. You're basically giving the same advice but you seem to have forgotten discount plans such as employer and other association programs.

Here is an Amazon link to one, they are about $20 for the unit and the app I use (the full version is worth it) is $4.99. It's a fully customizable app with tons of data readouts. You can learn a lot about your car this way without breaking the bank.
The wifi thing is kind of problematic. For one, the guy was using it because of convenience. He was able to get the signal from his apartment. So your suggestion of using different venues (which is a good one by the way) doesn't work in this case. A knee-jerk solution is to do a lot of large file downloads over the connection. The cops caught on because the guy only used the connection for the IM chats. If the connection was on all the time then the IM chats would get hidden in with the background. How long could he possibly pull that off before the wifi owner got wise?
Screw the wifi.
I am thinking a VPN tunnel. The nice thing about VPN's is that all your traffic is encrypted by default. The other nice thing is it bypasses your ISP's gateway for another gateway. There is NO reason that gateway needs to be in the US. In fact, with some providers (like Private Internet Access) you can pick from lots of countries. You can switch it up. In fact, PIA even accepts bitcoins as payment.
I actually was doing DOOR TO DOOR sales for Comcast cable lmao ... so it feels Amazing to be making online sales passively every day, and making the same or more money every day lol.
My best advice I can give it to just copy what I did ... I saved about 10k from my corporate sale job, and worked on my online biz nights and weekends ... and just learn as you go. - Key nowadays is to 'pay acute attention to what is already working, and adapt it' ... to quote Tim Ferriss from 'The 4-Hour Workweek' ... a book/audiobook you should DEF get if thinking about this .. known as the 'digital nomad Bible', all about the philosophy of travel, living life to the fullest and how automation and technology nowadays can allow us to do that. - Many Nomads just work for their company remotely tho .. there's a chapter on negotiating that with your boss in the 4HWW... - It can also be easier to quit/take extended time off if you have an 'independent contractor' type job that u can pick back up easy if u move abroad for 6 months or whatever and the biz doesn't work out. That was our alternate future, it just happened to work out for us. But lots of times you first / second biz models won't work and u have to go back to corporate sales again and save up. That actually just happened to one of our good Chiang Mai Nomad friends, had came out to the same ecommerce conference in CM October 2014 and was making decent $ online traveling ALL around the world for 2 years , but eventually his biz dried up and went back home this month back into corporate sales again (he had saved up $50k last time and quit) .. so ya

Well then carry on, speaking of ignorance. Because that says a lot.
And in regard to the gay thing specifically since that's one of only two of his absurdities you're even willing to try to defend, google the words "There will be a purge on God's orders" in quotation marks like that. Every result will be talking about your kook leader's words in January 2004.
"There will be a purge on God's orders, and evil will be eliminated like shadows. Gays will be eliminated, the 3 Israels will unite. If not then they will be burned. We do not know what kind of world God will bring but this is what happens. It will be greater than the communist purge but at God's orders."
A purge. Of homosexuals. Not by god, but on god's orders, and therefore by his annointed lieutenants' hands. And who happens to have a direct line to god to hear these orders, just like he did at age 15? Why, the messiah come again, of course. It fits right in with his prior words on how homosexual practices must be eliminated because only Satan and "dung-eating dogs" were down for that kind of thing.
Maybe if your leader had been dead for a couple thousand years, his actual words could be better obscured and more open to revision and interpretation. But nope, we had the genuine article right here amongst us running his mouth.
You are a troll or are farther gone than your late schizoid crazypants leader. Either way, this discussion won't advance. So adios.
A good place to start is learning about basics- like the moon cycle, the elements, or astrology. From there you can learn about stuff like herbal correspondence, crystals- all sorts of stuff like that. Pace yourself, and learn what interests you. After that you can really start to hone your own craft and decide what path to take- or forge your own. here’s the link to a witch community on Amino. Interacting with other witches and seeing how they did their craft really helped me out.
maybe complete online surveys. also tutoring in one of the best ways. since you are well educated, it won't be too hard. maybe tutor american students.

heh. If you are still in the market. MyFitnessPal.com is amazing and free. Try making it a habit by using it for 30 days (using this method) and be relentless in your logging (log literally everything down to the ketchup you eat).
It works!
You have two #1s in your list. You should be a Producer.
1) Well, working on CG cutscenes is like a CGI movie, but what I did had to play back in real-time in the game's engine. So in that case it's kind of a hybrid between film (because you can control the player's perspective [the camera]) and stagecraft (because it's happening live), but with very versatile action figures that deliver their lines exactly the same every time. I'm sure that clears it right up.
2) I'll re-iterate that I would love to do a Buffy-verse game with Volition. Other than that, though, I kind of enjoy playing my favorite franchises more than I want to work on them. Most the time, when I want to work on something it's because I want to fix it. My favorite franchises, though, are good just how they are. Sometimes I do pine for going back to the Mass Effect or Dragon Age universes, but I've got my own universe to worry about now. <strong>Plug time again</strong>
On the subject of correct grammar and usage of words...
Stressing research the way you suggest NPR does (I haven't listened to enough recently to know for myself) is bothersome to me. Stressing it like that seems to imply that you're searching back through whatever you've already searched, which is incongruous with it's actual definition; if research was the act of looking through material that had already been searched, original research couldn't be a thing, and it is.
I can't fault you too much on "data are" vs "data is", as data is technically a plural noun and as such should get a plural verb... there's just one small gotcha. English, unlike some other languages (French and Icelandic both come to mind), has no official language governing body; Language is what the people says it is, for better or worse, and a Google ngram of "data is" vs "data are" reveals that "data are" has seen a sharp decline in print in recent years, and like it or not "data" is on it's way to being singular.
As far as the "the time" vs "your time", I'd argue against the NPR usage... unless they're asking interviewees what time it is at the end of the interview. They're both shorthand ways of saying "Thank you for [taking] (your/the) time [to speak with us]", and using your is making the statement by way of possession that time has value to an individual and appreciating that the person they're speaking with could have been doing something else with their time, and chose to speak with the interviewer.
TL;DR Language is weird, yo.
Have you tried a shampoo with a coal tar active ingredient? I had that issue as well and started using Psoriatrax and it cleared my dandruff right up.

The key to flying cheap is having a flexible schedule, that way you'll find the best deals! If you have dated picked out I would recommend you buy your tickets on a tuesday 3 months in advance. This is when you can expect them to be the cheapest.
If you have found a great deal don't book it yet, but go and compare the flight to other websites as you can often find the same flight for much less on other websites. I love https://www.momondo.com/ and https://www.google.com/flights
You could also book a flight that has a layover in your desired destination. These can sometimes be cheaper, and once you get to your layover just leave the airport!
Hope it helps!
After that. Stop talking. Forever.
Also -> 'e' and 'mdma' are the same drugs - that's why I listed them side by side. I should have used a slash instead of a comma.

Actually she's not a unicorn, she's got a BF. But we'd been planning this longer than he's been in the picture, so he said go for it. I used my favorite recipe called Better Than Olive Garden Alfredo and just added some 25 ct. fried shrimp to the batch. I was actually wearing my FSM shirt that day, so I'd like to think his noodley appendage helped guide me. Damn right. The daiquiris only served to dull inhibitions more than anything. It was going to happen come hell or high water.
What's up with that? It's a metathesized word. Here's a good explanation about 'ask' being derived from the work 'aks', short for acsian. If fell out of use in the 1600's. This doesn't mean the people that use it today are keeping Old English alive, but that they're actually pronouncing it old way and you're pronouncing it the new way.

For beginners, I feel it's important to learn how to break down complicated shapes into easier shapes. A great book for that is: Morpho Anatomy for Artists it breaks things down geometrically.
When I teach anatomy, I have my students try gestural studies. These are super fast, barely there drawings that last for 20 seconds. You can do them while watching TV, or sitting at the coffee shop etc. The goal is not to create a complete or realistic drawing, far from it, the goal is to quickly identify the tough shapes and forms. A head is a circle, the torso is a quick S shaped curve to represent the spine, a horizontal line to express the tops of the shoulders, and an oval for ribs. It's basically like a glorified stick figure. But doing this will train your brain to recognize how the body moves how weight is balanced and how long the limbs are compared to the rest of the body. You can make a game of it, like how far can you get into the gesture drawing before the person moves out the TV scene changes?
Here's an excellent video on gestural drawings: (not my video) https://youtu.be/KVXOIBRdzPw
As a fellow ADDer who was diagnosed at 39, I'm always curious about other ADDer's experiences. My first impulse was to think the same things as a classic ADD book- You Mean I'm Not Stupid, Lazy or Crazy?

Can be categorized as self help. It's about the universal chains that binds us to our actions and focuses more on the corrective measures instead of focusing only on drawing to the power of positivity. Oh boy where to start? I can ramble for hours about my personal do’s & don’ts, but of course every situation is different. I would say my number one advice to someone going in business for themselves is to build a BUSINESS not a JOB. I made that mistake & had to correct it 5 years in. I’m still dealing with the pains of customers coming in and only wanting to talk to ME. I would advise reading The E Myth (link below), it changes my perspective and helped me transition my store from a “job” to a “business”.

Oh man I loved sociology. Wish I'd done something with that. Do you work in that field now?
On the chess front, my rating went from the mid-1400s to the mid-1800s by reading Aron Nimzowitsch's My System. But there's a bunch of other great books out there, including almost any book by IM Jeremy Silman. https://www.amazon.com/My-System-Century-Aron-Nimzowitsch/dp/1880673851
Yep! I’ll put the Amazon link below. It’s $4.99 on kindle and $15.00 on paperback, but you get a lot for that price because it’s about 123,000 words long.

Just rub it into the trouble areas.
u/franjalunderwood The ALF now, much like before, is about standing for the Afar People. Their positions, official or otherwise, is in the hand of Sultan Hanfare Alimirah, the late Sultan Alimirah's successor. Currently, the Ethiopian Govt is having difficulties governing the various people of the nation. I'm sure that the ALF stands with all Ethiopians in their quest for stability and safety within the country. In regards to your question about myself and Sultan Alimirah, I grew up during his reign amongst his children. Though he is my uncle, I very much consider him a father. Like many from my generation, The Sultan sent us to school providing us with the opportunities that we have been blessed to have. I've documented his reign in detail in my book that you can find on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/History-Sultan-Alimirah-Kadafo-Hanfare/dp/1491822759 As a follower of Sultan Alimirah, I identify as an Ethiopian Nationalist. I believe that Ethiopia should celebrate its diversity rather than be divided by it. The various ethnicities and tribes of the nation is what makes it unique, it shouldn't be what throws it into chaos. The Federalism in Ethiopia is imperfect and should definitely keep evolving to improve. With that being said, I am not against Federalism when managed properly. I believe that Afars in all 3 nations should enjoy the same freedom and equality as their fellow citizens. When it comes to a an Afar State, I don't believe that we are ready now just yet. It is a dream that should be pursued by future generations but currently there's a long way to go in regards to self governance.

FYI, every three months Amazon allows me to make it free for a few days, which I do. I can ping you next time, if you'd like and if I remember.
(That also explains why I've got a couple of ratings even though it only sold one copy; some people got it for free.)

Its nothing big :D I made this in one week and i wanted to experience the process of making and releasing a game. Sadly i think i lost the project file, so i cant develop it further.
Yes! VPNs are worth-it, but it's important to understand who is providing the service. For example, Private Internet Access does not keep logs, and has been proven not to release information in legal cases. For this reason, I'd consider it a trustworthy VPN. While it is safe in the sense of encrypting data, it does not protect against a variety of attacks. An example of this would be if a malicious actor on the same Local Area Network (LAN) exploits your computer, gaining unauthorized access. At this point, a VPN does not stop the hacker from ex-filtrating data or breaching the integrity of your files.
As an additional note, free proxies can be found online and used with tools such as proxychains. Be careful where you route your data through!
To be clear, the P100 filters you're using aren't filters for gases. They're filters for particulates, which is what allergens are.
There are filters for organic vapors, but they wouldn't help with allergies.
I use a full-face respirator with HEPA filters when I go out of the house. I also sleep wearing it - it's comfortable. I've been doing this for years.
amazon (if your in the uk or ireland book depository also has it with free shipping)(https://www.amazon.com/Satanic-Bible-Anton-LaVey/dp/0380015390/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2LU557ZRDXXF2&dchild=1&keywords=the+satanic+bible&qid=1596050863&sprefix=the+satanic+%2Caps%2C133&sr=8-1

Oh lol Nah I do know a LOT of IT / programmer / developer Nomads from being in Chiang Mai for 18 months total. And I've met TWO Silicon Valley / bigtime startup guys who came out to Chiang Mai (one partly cuz my videos ) ...
But yeah we are just ahead of our time that's all ... it's getting more possible / popular each year .. I discovered digitalnomadism thru other YouTubers , now I'm having a blast sharing it with people all over the world.. handfuls of people have came up to be in Chiang Mai and told me that my videos made them come out , of not indefinitely just for a trip...... so I know it's growing fast ...
Then again, The 4-Hour Workweek aka DigitalNomad bible was written in 2008, so these principles are nothing new , using technology to work from anywhere and free your time
Favorite book? I haven't read a book in forever but probably Maus by Art Spiegelman or Night by Elie Wiesel.
As for movies I love action movies, I can't wait for John Wick 2 because the first one was pretty damn good.
He was immature and pandered to, and didn't really know how to be in an adult relationship. Not a bad guy, but young (like anime and living in the family basement young) and totally indoctrinated into the group. Sex was a regulated thing by the Teacher (none in the days before or after a new/full moon). When I felt unhappy or had concerns, one of the devas would come out to discuss it with me, not him. When there was a sexual problem I came to him about, one of the devas went and told the Teacher, who lectured me for not letting go of my ego.
They did influence me by introducing me to many eastern philosophies and self discipline. Now I tend to mix the flowing water of Taoism with the compassion of Buddhism. I recently read Viktor Frankl's "Man's Search for Meaning" and got a lot out of it.
1). Hours of work would be hard to calculate. I spent eight months working on it with full-time hours, minus a few weeks of putting it away to come back fresh.
2). This is a really difficult question . . . so many books have moved me. Presently, I'll say Patrick Rothfuss's "A Wise Man's Fear," because each page reads like poetry, and it's just a true joy to be a part of that book.
3). Absolutely. I recommend Stephen King's "On Writing." I've read it countless times, and each time I do, my inner itch to write grows and grows, and by the time I've come to the end, words flow from my fingertips.
4). The current reviews are mostly from friends. I sent them free copies of my book in exchange for an honest review. There is one on there from someone I've never met, who gave me the highest rating I have. That's true joy to me.
I meditate 30 minutes a day. My favorite books are anything by Ayn Rand, 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene, How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill. We had tvs in solitary and books so it wasn't like a dungeon but still very hard.
I wish I could earn half of $400,000 in a single bound. That's a mighty useful superpower to have. Heh. :)
EDIT: I will never, ever forget the part in On Writing where he's describing the agent calling him to tell him how much money he was going to get, and him having to get the agent to tell him over and over again to make sure he was hearing it right, and then sinking down to the floor. I know that if I sold my current novel-in-progress, I would react pretty similarly.
It may not be @The ReverendBill. He's right @you_guys_are_mean, but it is a good learning experience. He will get a mentor in his upline and they do give out some good books like Think and Grow Rich to read. But yeah, probably won't get you there. If it did, I would be doing it.
Thanks for the answer! I've enjoyed your AMA. Sorry for the book question but I'm a King fan as well and couldn't resist. I was thinking of On Writing, where he talks about getting that first big paperback deal, on Mother's Day, IIRC, and goes out to buy Tabitha a gift at LaVerdiere's Drug store.
If you don't trust psychology, then why are you letting one of its practitioners (allegedly) put you through hormonal therapy?
And as it stands, when the results of an experiment are robust and replicable, the conclusion is no longer so debatable. Daniel Kahneman's Thinking, Fast and Slow is a good collection of such results, though they are unrelated to the DSM.
If your nephew's hypotheses withstand rigorous testing, then for those particular hypotheses you should listen to him. I was only explaining what the definition of a scientist is since you didn't seem to know. Domain-specificity and credibility go hand-in-hand.
My go-to books on writing are "Many Genres, One Craft," by the faculty of the Seton Hill program I work for and "On Writing Horror" which is put out by the Horror Writers Association. I also like "Writer's Workshop of Horror," but it's out of print and hard to come by.
By "reference," what do you mean? I have lots of books on things like police procedure ("HowDunit: How crimes are committed and solved"), poisons, occult, etc. I'm a packrat when it comes to knowledge.
Right now, I have an exclusivity thing to get some promotion through Amazon, and it's only available in Kindle format at the moment. After that is over, I plan on looking into the print copies.
I'm having a hard time understanding the differences between the Miele models, as it's not obvious on their site or on amazon. My dirt devil upright broke for the 3rd time in 7 years and I'm in no mood to fix it again. Perhaps you can help me pick a brand, /u/touchmyfuckingcoffee!
Currently I'm a single dude living in a pretty big 2 bedroom (single floor) apartment with my two basenji's (medium sized dogs that don't really shed and have very short fur). The apartment is mostly low pile, fairly coarse carpet with a tiled kitchen and bathrooms. When I was younger I had really severe dust allergies, so I always try my best to keep my place clean and dust free (so HEPA filters and sealed systems are a plus). I don't mind a canister model, and I'm paid fairly well so I want a quality vacuum that will last and that I can use in a house when I finally buy one. I don't have a really hard budget, but it's going to be hard for me to really justify a purchase over $5-600.
That said, if I can get a close approximation to that with a sub $300 panasonic or kenmore, I'd prefer to go that route (ie, something like this which you have previously recommended). I'm not doubting your advice at all, it's just I'm not sure what I get with a $500 miele over this $300 panasonic other than possibly a more polished appearance.
Tower Jumper, I made this game as a project for a course
Flappy Invaders, I made this one long time ago to test all what I learned
If any of you haven’t tried it, try heating pads! I get these Rael heating patches online from Target & Amazon. The downside is that they tend to peel off easily so I apply tape on the sides to help keep it on. Also, depending on where you place the patches (either pelvic/lower back), lie down so that it’s pressing against you and you’ll feel the warm better.
If you check a some of the options, such as "i am offered healthcare coverage through my job", you are probably not eligible for subsidies, unless your job-based plan does not meet the affordability standards. That might be why it's saying you don't qualify.
Also check my other comment about the 250% FPL. $1k+ per month seems very high.
Hi, I came across this: https://www.healthcare.gov/income-and-household-information/income/
It appears capital gains are counted as regular income. Putting money into retirement accounts will still reduce your premiums and deductibles.
I assume you're currently on your parents plan. Do you live in a state that expanded Medicaid? If so, you'll qualify for Medicaid because your MAGI is below $16,642. You still need to apply at healthcare.gov though to get it.
You'll probably qualify for a special enrollment period once you hit 26, but I'd call the exchange now to make sure. The reason you'd qualify would be "I've lost coverage." You'd need to apply within 60 days of your birthday.
I completely understand. This was one of my biggest sources of confusion when I was trying to understand the system.
What i believe happens is that different government programs calculate MAGI differently. For example, if you are trying to determine student loan forgiveness, you need to add back retirement contributions to MAGI. If you are calculating MAGI for healthcare subsidies, [you do not include retirement contributions to MAGI according to healthcare.gov](https://www.healthcare.gov/glossary/modified-adjusted-gross-income-magi/]
This is why when you search for "how do i calculate MAGI," you will come up with different answers.
I'm not 100% sure this is correct, but I'm pretty sure it is. If the calculation on our government's own website does not tell us to include retirement contributions, i think we exclude it.
no. We used condoms when she was ovulating and an after pill once because we werent sure. I have a feeling what happened is the after pill messed with her schedule and it shifted, causing us to work off bad numbers.
I am now finding out I could have used a magnifying glass and her vaginal fluid or saliva to check for a certain hormone that is present when she is in her fertile period.
First of all, congrats man. You reached a nice point in life and enjoy. I can understand the feeling, but how it sounds like it seems you deserved it. Maybe this book can help > Freedom From the Known
Just enjoy your life man 🙌🏻
