Bring some nasal spray which will help you with the stuffy nose. Also, a saline nasal rinse which will help clear everything out at the end of the night. The combo of those two and you're good to go.

Check out the Etymotic Research ER20 High-Fidelity Earplugs.
I've used these for years at Coachella and other concerts. It just reduces the sound volume, you still get to hear all the music (as opposed to those foam ones, where the sound just muffles).
Edit: these also allow you to end a concert without that awful buzzing in your ears for hours after
I did buy a portable projector but imma use it more for a personal turndown tent.
GoT is on Sunday. Just live out Coachella's last night, and watch it at a civilized location on Monday night.
Ear plugs are a must for longer Yuma sessions. Improves some of that muddy sound AND protects you. like these:

PS: there was a secret bar in the yuma tent past the left side of the stage in a little tucked away area.
I use this Gold Bond Anti-Friction stick on my inner thighs and it works well. It's like a deodorant stick so I throw it in the cooler when I camp to make sure it doesn't melt, plus it feels really good putting it on cold. Seems like it's out of stock on Amazon but Target and Walmart should have it.
I like these. They're $8 on Amazon. The link is just to the plain colors but if you look up "tough headband" that's the seller and they have a bunch of em in all sorts of patterns and colors
This is similar. It was a great weight for Coachella last year. I’m a medium and ordered an XL after reading the comments, definitely recommend 2 full sizes bigger than you’ll normally wear.
Idk about the pants.

So I used to to recaps and digital backdrops professionally for artists and that’s part of me will say adobe Premier Pro and after effects, but
The frugal part of me will say that there is an app called MAGE on the AppStore , I think it’s in android too, so what I do it arrange the clips in any software that does that,( windows movie maker, iMovie, anything literally that adds clips in the perfect order you want), the export to your phone and I use the app to add these effects.
It’s insane how some of these videos took days, but it took me an hour or so.
Wirh that said, for more control in the edit, use a desktop app like Final Cut Pro or premiere pro and after effects.
Way too long of an answer, but Hope that helps.

HOUSE AVAILABLE
Hey everyone, my parents usually rent their home for Coachella and did not get a renter for weekend 2 so the house is still available. If you need a place to stay just for Thursday they may be able to accommodate you for the night for a very reasonable rate. There are 6 bedrooms so contact the host at the link below.
If you opt for the whole weekend (4 nights) they are asking $4k (rented for $12k last weekend).
5 bed/4 bath, great backyard and large pool and jacuzzi. See link: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/2627303?s=51
Get one of these...
They block out the dust way better than a banana and are easy to pull down/up when drinking a beer. Get em wet to stay cool during the day. At night they can keep your a lil warmer.
These are solid but they come in a ton of patterns. A bunch of other brands make em too but I've only used these. Hope it helps. I might also look into getting a disposable nasal rinse.
Edit: also look up "padded sunglasses" or "motorcycle sunglasses". They also keep the dust out of the eyes better and they're super cheap on Amazon (put the yellow ones on when you're on drgz).
Lightweight LED strands from Amazon threaded around the canopy frame. If you go this route make sure to get a set with a 6-AA battery pack for maximum brightness. A lot of strands only have a 3-AA pack.
These are the exact ones we use. One is sufficient, two is ideal (per canopy).
Supplement with headlamps as needed.
Just did a quick search. There are so many Airbnb listings for under $700 a night (probably because they're not getting rented out so close to festival weekend).
So setting up shouldn’t be a problem if you don’t mind asking for a hand—and you shouldn’t, anyone will be glad to help. As far as putting it down, here’s what my group has done that has saved our canopies every year:
FYI... security has been known to confiscate metal stakes. So if you bring them, then bring plastic ones as a backup. And MAKE SURE to leave none in the ground for the safety of the horses. Plastic mallet will help!
Stakes for the canopy.. the good but expensive ones, the huuuge cheap ones,
Edit: True though, lowering the canopy might be a challenge. I take my height for granted. Might have to call on neighbors more than once!
other sites are still showing a chance of scattered showers. socal rain forecasts aren't really accurate until the day before. i would advise to be prepared just in case. most likely will be fine though

You could probably last the entire weekend with this one, granted, you're not on your phone the entire time.
I got this last year. It lasts my girl and I all day with like one refill before the sun goes down. 2.5L is the perfect size for a lot of water and it's not too heavy. It can hold a decent amount of stuff too
10-15 mph winds forecasted for weekend 1. Today was similar with gust up to 25 mph. Allergy (grass) alert currently in effect in Indio. Hopefully everyone is preparing for these conditions. Happy Coachella y'all!

I've been using these for years too and they're quite good but sometimes depending on what kind of music I'm listening to things can sound a bit muffled. Obviously, you're never gonna get ideal sound while protecting your ears unless you drop the money for customs but I just ordered Earasers from amazon and I'm looking forward to trying them since they seem to work quite differently than other earplugs and I've read a lot of good reviews. I'll let you guys know how they perform after this weekend.

I bought these on Amazon a few years ago. They work much better than the cheap foam plugs, don’t muffle sound so you can still hear, haven’t fallen out of my ears at any show, and come with a string so you can keep them looped around your neck and not lose one of them.
Made this earlier today. It's not quite the same as the image you had, but feel free to customize.
I'm a huge fan of hers and was going back through her weekly mix show, "In the Mood" (this is ep. 3). She hammered the Yuma tent with her dark techno. It'll be very similar to this during her Friday set with Skin this year.
And this is a guest mix on her weekly show from Skin. One of the last tracks, "math grendades" from this set is so sick. Anyway, they have a grammy-nominated release together that we'll hear, no doubt. I'm really pumped for this.
Both have their own podcasts if you want to see the direction they have gone. In my opinion they are some of the best in their genre still.

Every year I could get the dreaded “Coachella Cough” It’s a combo of both sharing general germs with thousands of people (think about how many times you washed your hands and how many others did not) and possibly a spore! I can imagine some of the Innervisions guys making an appearance... Dixon, Ame, Fur Coat, Henrik Schwartz, etc. (obviously most would be a reach). I'm rooting hard for Fur Coat after their insane Essential Mix from August.
Realistically, I think Dubfire will make up for pulling off the bill last year. Maybe Deep Dish on one of the outdoor stages for a turn of the century dance music revival? If so, I could realistically see a Madonna or Tracy Thorne (Everything But the Girl) appearance since this is Coachella and all. But, I also live with my head in the clouds.
Other than that, wishing for Maceo Plex, Apollonia, Joris, Digweed, Adam Beyer, and... ^^^Ricardo ^^^Villalobos ^^^>.<
What about The Big Green goalie? Yes, mighty ducks is a much better film but it's debatable.
That Mon-Tues-Wed 100+ forecast is ominous. It could easily shift back a day if the system doesn't move out as quickly as they're predicting. But I seriously hope it stays in the 80's for Thursday/Friday. It makes the rest of the weekend so much easier.
EDIT - Weather Channel and Weather Underground are forecasting the same shift back into the mid-80's. Accuweather shows a shift to lower temps, but a few degrees warmer compared to Weather Channel and Weather Underground -> https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/indio-ca/92201/daily-weather-forecast/337093?day=6
I'm listening to the W1 recording now at my desk at work getting chills and feeling emotional. I was there for W2 but this still works.
I recommend these for everyone but especially people with contacts. You can buy very cheap "motorcycle sunglasses" that are padded around the outside. This set comes with tinted, clear and high visibility for $11 so there's a pair that works in the day, night, and if you want something a lil trippy. They'll keep the dust out of your eyes.
I don't wear contacts but i've seen people recommend that you adjust your schedule a bit so the pair you're bringing to Coachella is near the end of their lifespan and you're ready to swap to the new ones if you have any issues. Similar recommendations for people with Invisalign trays. If you're going both weekends then having some disposables is probably a smart move.

A fanny pack, or some other discrete pocket, is really the only way to enjoy yourself fully and ~~avoid getting pick pocketed~~ deter pick pocketers. Look for one with a back pocket that sits between your body and the rest of the pack. I used this one from Amazon last year and it worked perfectly. Fits my S6 easily in the back pocket. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017SF0DB0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I always thought I was above this, that "yea, ok, but I've never felt the effects of a concert before, so I'm fine."
Until LCD Soundsystem at Bill Graham last year. Ho. Ly. Shit. I was in pain at how loud that concert got. Ears were plugged for a week. Now, I'm buying some plugs and keeping them in my pocket at shows just in case that ever happens again.
Also, just as a heads up, these Eargasms are going on an Amazon Lightning Deal at 12:50 PST today (3/30). Would be a good time to buy.

WEEKEND 2 I have an Airbnb reservation for a casita at the Sky Valley Resort in Desert Hot Springs from 4/20-4/24. Can't go anymore and we've already sold our tickets. Mid-century furnished, one bedroom place with a queen bed and one queen-sized pull-out couch in living room so it sleeps four, and can probably fit a couple more people. In a community with 4 pools (designated family and adult pools), 9 jacuzzis (filled with mineral hot spring water), tennis courts, pool tables, ponds, and gym. Costs less than the hotel reservations and is your own place– no shared walls. Has wifi, cable tv, washer, dryer, free parking right at your front door, self check-in, AC, etc.
A little less than $240/night $959 total for all four nights

I know I know! 21 years old myself. I have done this before in LAX and confirm 100% it works. Go to USAA.com and register. Its free. You have to be either a Canadian or USA citizen. Im from Canada btw. Once you register and log on, should only take 5-10 mins. Click our products > travel solutions > car rentals. Scroll down and click on the budget link(cheapest out of all of them).
USAA waives all underage fees and gives you insurance coverage as well.
I did an estimate for you. For a week from April 7th to 14th it came out to about ~$200 usd. Not sure how many days you were looking for but you can adjust that if you just need it for the weekend. And look on retailmenot for coupon codes. Remember you can only use the ones that start with M and not the BCD numbers.

In response to your taxi question, Uber (which is a transportion service) is going to be at Coachella this year. The service is cheaper than a taxi and I don't imagine you have to wait long for one. If you don't have an account already you can use this link -> Uber and you will get $20 credit for the service. Hope this helped!
On the Uber note; if you sign up with uber using https://uber.com/invite/uberjonniebgood you'll start with $20 in credit. And then, immediately once you sign up, add 'hipmunk' to the promotions box and get another $25 in credit - $45 total. If you've never used it and they do have cars out there, I imagine it would be perfect.
If you are already signed up for Uber, add 'hipmunk' to the promotions for a $25 credit.
I was told by an Uber driver in LA that they are sending e-mails out to drivers and requesting them to go to Indio.

Yay! My advice I just thought of - meet your neighbors right away and feel their vibe. I had some neighbors who weren’t great and then I also had one crew that ended up becoming close friends of mine and totally made my whole experience. Camping can introduce you to the coolest people!
Showers wise, last Coachella I just waited in line for the showers (I believe they are free? I could be wrong). Honestly I hated the line, it’s hot in the middle of the day and the lines can take a while if you’re there in the same time frame as everyone else. One thing that was nice was this brand that was advertising their products were handing a bunch out so I got really nice body wash and saw it at target later for $$ haha. The showers are fine cleanliness wise, just bring shower shoes and some sort of setup that is easy to work with in the stall (ie, a shower bag with your products that can hang from a hook). At electric forest last year I had a solar shower bag and I’ll just use that at Coachella this year, it’s way easier. This is the one i have! I posted this on another thread in r/sunglasses >I bought these sunglasses at Coachella this year and they recently broke on a backpacking trip. Although they were cheap sunglasses (bought them for $15) they have been my favorite that I have owned. I'm hoping they're somewhere on Amazon for like $5-$10. The inscription on the inside says they're made in China and the other side says 'W3174' if that helps. The frame is a see-through gray
Not much info about them, but I'll check out ZeroUV
EDIT: After some digging around on Amazon, the closest pair I could find at the moment were these: https://www.amazon.com/Basik-Eyewear-Reflective-Wayfarer-Sunglasses/dp/B01LZ0AZL2/ref=sr_1_104?ie=UTF8&qid=1477187976&sr=8-104&keywords=see%2Bthrough%2Bframe%2Bsunglasses&th=1
Apparently the frame style is called "Matte Frosted Frame."
I make coffee every morning, but nothing fancy like you folk. Just boil up some water and use a collapsable silicone drip cone meant for backpacking, $10 on Amazon. I have a thing for efficient and elegant engineering solutions and the cone scratches all those itches. It's one of my favorite pieces of gear.
Holy shit. We're renting a house but I didn't think of these. I'm getting this cheap one off amazon that you just hook up to a hose: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000P0KSXO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_aQR2yb1MVZP2V

Also looking for how you all wrangled clothes. Last year we bought a hanging rack at target and abandoned it there, but that seems wasteful to me. Any slick tricks?

I personally didn’t find it too useful for our group of 18. Only 7-8 ended up using it. Went as far as to buy the shower head attachment for a more glamping type experience.
First problem is filling up water which may or may not be a line for that wait, especially in the mornings when others are also bringing their portable showers or kiddie pools to fill up.
Second problem is the water doesn’t last very long if you use the shower head attachment. It’s a nice luxury to have but carrying the water can be a bitch, especially when, with the attachment you only get three showers per fill. If you go without the attachment and just do this one you maybe get five showers per person. It does the job but never left me feeling truly clean. Wet wipe shower is only a notch or two below how I felt after that version of a camping shower.
Cooling Towels Really handy to have at camp to cool down while you're waiting around to go in or taking a break from the heat

mini table nice to have at camp. its like a little coffee table

“iMessage is an undeniably great service for free messaging between iPhones, iOS, and Mac OS X, but it’s not flawless, and sometimes an iMessage will fail to send if you’re on a low cellular signal or have insufficient bandwidth. Additionally, there are times when trying to send a message through iMessage is slower than sending text messages, or they won’t deliver at all due to some unforeseen error. If you’ve ran into the problem where an imessage won’t send, you’re familiar with the infinite “Sending” bar that never moves until you’re back in a better cell reception area. But you don’t have to wait forever to send out your message, because if you have any cellular signal at all on the iPhone you can fall back to sending texts.”
I don't know enough to do it myself, so here's something from howtogeek.com:
"Old NiMH and NiCd batteries had a “memory effect” and had to be completely discharged from 100% to 0% to keep their capacity. Modern devices use Lithium Ion batteries, which work differently and have no memory effect. In fact, completely discharging a Li-ion battery is bad for it. You should try to perform shallow discharges — discharge the battery to something like 40-70% before recharging it, for example. Try to never let your battery go below 20% except in rare circumstances.
If you were to discharge your battery to 50%, recharge it, and then discharge it to 50% again, that would count as a single “cycle” with modern Li-ion batteries. You don’t need to worry about performing shallow charges.
There’s only one problem that shallow discharges can cause. Laptops can get a bit confused by shallow discharges and may show you wrong estimates for how long your device’s battery will last. Laptop manufacturers recommend you perform a full discharge about once per month to help calibrate the device’s battery time estimate."
And, here's the beginning of Wikpedia's explanation of memory effect:
"Memory effect, also known as battery effect, lazy battery effect or battery memory, is an effect observed in nickel cadmium and nickel–metal hydride rechargeable batteries that causes them to hold less charge. It describes the specific situation in which certain NiCd and NiMH batteries gradually lose their maximum energy capacity if they are repeatedly recharged after being only partially discharged. The battery appears to "remember" the smaller capacity."
https://www.amazon.com/LynQ-Smart-Compass-Single-Blue/dp/B08LBR3DJY/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 looks like the idea is out there but this product doesn't execute very well.
That said, I don't have too many issues finding friends. Timestamps, set landmarks, and I'm ok with not finding them if after three texts we can't make it work. We'll meet up again later at some point when communication/locating each other is easier.
I would recommend snagging an anti-theft hydration pack off amazon. It will certainly gain you entrance and it has a ton of pockets to stack food and other goodies.
you're welcome! happy to help :)
those hold in the ground really well, but the issue with using those with the canopy is that the feet of the canopy legs only have a little round hole so those stakes won't fit through them. sometimes you can get lucky and get that little hook on the tent stake to lineup just right, but it's rare. your best bet are to use stakes like these. but you'll need to smuggle them.
aaa I keep saying thank you but honestly very grateful for the advice!! I was able to order a 10x10 for pick up and hopefully it’ll go thru smoothly!!
Noted!! I’ll try to see if I could hide more (metal) stakes anywhere but I got these plastic ones (mostly for my tent) a pack of 10:

Do you think these could do the job just fine?
As mentioned in other comment, just get a quality battery pack.

Enough to keep my entire campsite recharged all weekend!
I also bring a small battery pack in the festival and keep my phone plugged in basically at all times at night.
I left my windows open one year and at the end of the weekend there was a thick layer of dust on EVERYTHING (it was a windy weekend). I started using a sun shade for the windshield and these side window shades which are awesome! The cabin still gets a bit toasty but at least the inside is shaded and thieves don’t have a clear view in.
I really like OP’s rec of getting the “shade sock” thing, I might steal that idea and just double sock one window for extra dust protection haha
