I've been using the CX 48" as my computer monitor since March and it's been great. I sit about 36" (3 feet) away from the TV.
For burn-in worries I use a pure black background on Windows 10 and hide the taskbar. I also use Stardock Fences which allows the desktop icons to be hidden after a certain amount of time (I use 30 seconds, but this can be changed). To see the icons you just need to click the desktop. Fancy Zones is also really nice to have on a monitor this big. It's part of the Windows 10 PowerToys.
I use the CX with an RTX 3090 for gaming (120 fps is great), as well as Xbox Series X and PS5. It's been flawless with all of them. I would definitely recommend the CX 48" as a monitor!

First get a microfiber cloth and a spray bottle of water. Spray the cloth (NOT THE SCREEN), and then gently wipe the screen in circles.
If using just water does not work, you may need to go buy an electronics cleaner. You buy a spray or you can buy wipes. Those are just some examples.
My dog has licked/sneezed my LG CX and there were some finger prints, and water has worked just fine to remove all these. However I know that spray sunscreen can a lot worse to deal with.
Good luck!
How to find the ‘deals’:
Greentoe:
These deals can be obtained any day.
You create an account with Greentoe.com and find the TV you want; bid a price you’d want to pay, and if it’s good a bid, it gets accepted, if not, you get a counter-offer.
How to know which price to bid?
Here’s a user who shared on Slickdeals information about the LG C8 77-inch selling for $4999 w/tax and shipping (linked as an example).
BuyDig:
BuyDig’s strength is their call-in deals; generally these “deals” appear on Slickdeals about 2-3 days before the weekend, and has information on the pricing they are offering for that weekend only — You call their number, ask for LG C8/E8 etc pricing and they’ll tell you the cost.
Slickdeals:
Create an account with Slickdeals and setup to receive notifications when “OLED” appears on the title of the deal; works best if you use their mobile app, but not necessary.
You can also be more specific like “LG C8” or “LG E8” etc.
Here’s the latest notification I was sent; read the comments as well, as users tend to share information there faster than the notification gets to you.
The going rate is $2349, depending on your state. Some states are higher bids($2399), because the vendor is taking out sales tax from final price.
Reference for $2349 price - 65" E8 BuyDig 10/07/18: https://slickdeals.net/f/12108997-call-in-lg-4k-tv-65-oled65e8pua-2349-55-oled55e8pua-1699-until-6pm-est-free-s-h?src=SiteSearch
Do not get a QLED. A QLED is just a marketing term by Samsung to represent their fancy LED/LCD panels, but it still is just a LED/LCD panel and not OLED technology.
You can buy a 65 C8 from buydig every Sunday via their call in for $2299. You can buy a 55 C8 for $1499. No tax (except in NY) and no shipping fees. Buydig is an authorized retailer of LG (you can find their site on LG's authorized retailer list) and is very reliable. The TVs are brand new and you'll receive it within 3-5 days of ordering it.
If you buy a 55 C8 and a 65 C8, the price should come out to be $3798, which is way under your $4500 budget. Use the extra money to buy a dedicated speaker set up for the living room and a soundbar for the bedroom TV along with 2 wall mounts.
I don't know man. BuyDig and Beach Camera are $700-$3000 cheaper than Costco, when you buy through the SlickDeal Call-in threads or Greentoe. For $3k, I can buy a 2nd TV. That's with no price protection.

Every Sunday, buydig runs this deal. If you want a 2018 model now, this is the best deal.
They'll also ship it out real fast and you'll probably get it within 3-5 days.
I originally bought a 55 inch B7 for $1200, but ended up returning it when I wanted the E7 model which was only $100 more. $100 more for the aesthetic + soundbar was worth it I feel. I would NOT spend more than $200 for the E model over the C one since that extra money could be put towards a far better sound system.
This is the one I bought. Worked great and easy to install. Rather than use a keyhole saw for drywall, I decided to use a regular drywall knife or a utility knife, same thing. A drywall saw throws shit everywhere, the knife works much cleaner. You will need a stud finder and a screwdriver. Itll take maybe 30 minutes.
Works just fine on my C9, heres the exact adapter I have https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Ethernet-Adapter-Supporting/dp/B00BBD7NFU/ref=sr_1_10?crid=2P88A9PQWTC2D&dchild=1&keywords=usb+to+ethernet+adapter&qid=1611118901&sprefix=usb+to+ethe%2Caps%2C145&sr=8-10
I also use an Apple TV 4k with my C8, you do not need to shell out for the Belkin cable, the $9 Amazonbasics Highspeed HDMI cable I use for literally all of my devices works perfectly.
You should use the same level of cabling everywhere in a perfect world but as long as they're all high-speed HDMI cables it should work fine. That said, the amazon basics ones I use are literally $9 so I would personally recommend going with the same ones for consistency and you can get a pack of 2 for $12. If you have HDMI CEC enabled when you sleep the Apple TV by holding down the home screen button, it will put the C8 in standby mode or turn it off, whatever you have set for it to do in settings on the TV. The settings for the C8 though does need the LG remote to be accessed or a universal. Lastly you can attach it directly to the tv and then ARC the TV to the AVR and get atmos that's even more compressed than it already is with HDMI 2.0b cabling but I would seriously recommend hooking the ATV directly to your AVR to get the cleanest signal.
If this is your first ATV I would suggest setting the ATV to 4k SDR so that the ATV doesn't try to upscale everything which gets a bit odd and plays the source as is and also turn on both Content and Frame Matching so it then knows what to do with anything it plays automatically.
I have this. Easy setup. I got it because my 2 yo granddaughter touches everything. I adjusted the straps so they are just snug - don't pull on the TV but will support it and prevent a fall forward.
BuyDig Call-In 77" C8 posted yesterday, expires tonight: https://slickdeals.net/f/12167020-call-in-lg-4k-tv-77-oled77c8pua-4999-free-s-h?v=1
I didn't post it, because I figure a 77" C8 would be out of the price range for this sub.
On Friday, there was a 65" C8 for $1999.99. They recycled an old thread without changing the topic, so I missed it.
SlickDeals BuyDig 10/26-10/27 Deal

Those prices are $200 more than other options like BuyDig or Greentoe.
https://www.greentoe.com/product/LG_C8PUA_55_4K_HDR_Smart_AI_OLED_TV_OLED55C8PUA
If you need the financing, it's fine.
You can actually buy that from buydig for $1550 on sundays.
As long as the TV is brand new, the warranty still applies. LG has already stated that their warranty applies regardless of where you buy it from, unauthorized or not.
However if you're interested in buying it from a "safe" buyer, buydig is an authorized seller of LG.
Every Sunday for several hours, buydig takes call in orders that allows you to purchase the TVs in the link for the price specified. They'll take your order down and you'll see your TV probably by Thursday (4-5 days usually). They are reliable and I've personally bought a TV from them and had absolutely zero issues. I even returned the TV (decided I wanted a 65) and I had no issues with it whatsoever.
No way no how. You can get the C8P for 2500 right now https://slickdeals.net/f/11584871-lg-oled65c8p-65-2018-oled-4k-uhd-hdr-smart-tv-for-2499-shipped
I wouldn't pay over 1000 for a floor model of the 7 series. I got my 7 series for 1600 after 500 credit card price rollback. No way I'd pay anything over 1k for a floor model that likely was on for 24/7 for a year.
Also you shouldn't be buying the 6 series - that's 2 years old now. That should be well under 2k at this point if they want to move it. The 6->7 is a huge upgrade. the 7->8 is a smaller upgrade.
Best Buy is expensive. If you want cheaper, you can get the 65" C8 online for around $1999-$2099 and no taxes(depending on the state). It's worth paying the extra $180 over the 55" B8 @ ~$1820 ($1700 + ~$120 sales tax).
You should really aim for the C8 for the better video processor and image quality.
The 65" C8 was on sale for $1999.99 from BuyDig, last week.
65" LG C8 $1999.99 + Free Shipping (expired): https://slickdeals.net/f/12146941-call-in-lg-4k-tv-65-oled65c8pua-2099-55-oled55c8pua-1449-until-6pm-est-free-s-h
Greentoe is selling for $2100 with no sales tax in any state. It's already included in the price. It's the price everyday, unless a specific vendor is out of stock. It's the price line for electronics vendors, some vendors bid higher than others.
LG 65" C8 $2100: https://slickdeals.net/f/12175156-lg-oled65c8pua-for-2100-accepted-at-greentoe-ymmv-2100?v=1
It may be lower in 3-4 weeks. Early November prices are typically lower. It will probably be $50-100 cheaper. If you are super lucky, maybe $200.
The 2017 55" B7 went for $1199 last year. It was a limited sale at Fry's: https://slickdeals.net/f/10880931-lg-oled-55b7a-1199-or-65b7a-1799-fry-s-black-friday-not-2016-model?v=1&src=SiteSearch
Since the C series is a higher level model, I would expect the lowest to be at $1299.
If you want until Late April-June 2019, the 55" C8 will be on clearance. The clearance prices are the lowest point in the product cycle. It be lower than Black Friday prices.
The online vendors typically drop $100 on their 65" LG OLED TVs around the October 7th-15th. This E8 is a $100 drop from 09/23. I don't see it dropping again. Their next drop is usually after Halloween and again around the 3rd week of November. Then, it stays flat or goes up $100 until February.
Reference - SlickDeals E8 09/23 $2449 65": https://slickdeals.net/f/12071575-call-in-lg-4k-tv-65-oled65e8pua-2449-55-oled55e8pua-1749-until-5pm-est-free-s-h?src=SiteSearch
The 65" C8 has been going for $2249 on Greentoe and from BuyDig for the past month. It may drop $100 to $2149 within a week, if it follows the pattern of previous price drops in October around this time. Nobody knows for sure, until we wait.
If BuyDig does not do a call-in deal next Sunday for the 65" C8, you could just go to greentoe.com at https://www.greentoe.com/product/LG_C8PUA_65_4K_HDR_Smart_AI_OLED_TV_OLED65C8PUA?site_category_id=a05E0000004uSdAIAU
Bid $2k, they counter at $2300. You counter back at $2149. If they won't go that low, then you can stick to the current price $2249.
Save the money.
I would go with the cheaper 55" lg c8 for $1499 at 55" e8 at $1799 at the BuyDig Sunday Call-In manager specials. No sales tax.
If you don't want to wait until Sunday, go to greentoe.com. no sales tax
Why not got for 65" C8 at $1749, after Discover card price protection to get the $2249 to $1749? It's a more noticeable difference. It's worth the extra $150 over the 55" B7.
It's a new low, if it is for the 65" B7A.
The 65" B7A was selling for $1199, back in April: https://slickdeals.net/f/11470511-nebraska-furniture-mart-in-store-only-65-lg-oled65b7a-4k-smart-oled-hdtv-1199-99-tax?v=1&src=SiteSearch
How many inches is the deal at PC Richards?
it's a mediocre deal. You will end up paying around $1800 after taxes and freight for a beat up TV that may have the orginal panel, which may have hundreds of hours on it.
The brand new 65" C8 goes for $1749 on Sundays with no taxes or shipping fees collected, after Discover Price Protection. https://slickdeals.net/f/11900783-call-in-55-lg-4k-tv-oled55e8pua-1799-oled55c8pua-1499-until-7pm-est-more-free-s-h?src=SiteSearch
You spend $50 more for a used TV.

They will counter back at the same price as BuyDig at $2,499. Pay for the deal with Discover or Chase Sapphire/Freedom card. Use credit card price protection to get $500 back. There is no sales tax. Your total out the door price is $1999 for the 65" E8.
Greentoe. They were selling it for $6,445 on 07/13. Lately, they have been selling it for $6,199.

You might as well wait a week, if you expect the prices will be cut.
After taxes, it will be about $1,300. That's way too pricey for a year old OLED compared to a new 2018 C8 55" with 1 year factory warranty.
As others have indicated, you can get a new 2018 C8 55" for $1,500 total from LG authorized resellers like BuyDig, Beach Camera.
BuyDig 2018 55" C8 $1,549 (free shipping + no tax outside of NJ), available almost every Sunday: https://slickdeals.net/f/11708767-call-in-lg-4k-oled-tv-65-oled65c8p-2299-55-oled55c8p-1549-until-6-30pm-est-free-s-h?src=SiteSearch
Buy from Buydig for a cheaper price.
Every Sunday, Buydig allows call in orders to purchase TVs. Buydig is also an authorized retailer if that concerns you.
You can call in on Sunday and they'll have it shipped to your place probably by Wed-Friday.
See that's the thing I fail to understand. Why risk a 2300$ purchase with an unauthorized dealer? Tomorrow they might stop honoring unauthorized purchases even for warranty repairs. The same model is available for same price from an authorized dealer about once every month or so.
B9 and Denon X3600H here have the same issues as well. I did do some more testing though after reading on the LG forums that dolby vision @ 30hz seems to have no issues. On my Oppo, there are no issues with DV because it auto matches the content frame rate, so unless you're watching Gemini Man, most DV UHD Bluray content is either 23.967 or 24hz.
On my 2019 Shield Pro that was having the flicker issues, i used the Refresh Rate app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.bytearray.refreshrate&hl=en_US&gl=US) to manually set my refresh rate to that of the content I'm about to watch (usually 23.967,24, or 25hz) and the problem seems to have gone away. Granted I didn't watch anything for very long, but just from the few minutes I watched, the flickering had stopped. It's a bit inconvenient, but you're not missing out on any quality by doing this anyways since there aren't really any native DV content at above 30fps outside of Gemini Man.
I don't have an AppleTV 4k, but it's a little odd that it's experiencing the same issues since it's supposed to have OS wide frame rate matching? Maybe double check your guys' settings to make sure the frame rate matching setting is turned on.
I used this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GWGZGQ4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I plugged everything in, taped it into a bundle, had two people hold the TV up and fed the bundle through the brush and pulled it out of the bottom then put it on the bracket.
You can make minor adjustments if you pull it off the wall but you cant really run anythign else down the box once its up. I wish i had run an extra hdmi and a coax for an antenna =\ oh well.
There may be, what devices specifically are you referring to? USB to ethernet adapters? I believe when I was doing my homework about what ethernet adapter to get some people did report certain brands not working. But this is the one I use and can confirm works fine: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BBD7NFU?pf_rd_r=N63BJ5DN10CKWRB31ZXW&pf_rd_p=5ae2c7f8-e0c6-4f35-9071-dc3240e894a8
this is personally the one that works for me. i have heard that some don't but this one surely does.
Oh huh, interesting. Though I found an app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=by.makarov.smarttvlgrc& on the playstore and tested it, and it works perfectly! Now it is off! Amazing!
I might just test it out though. Not sure I even wanted it turned off. It never bothered me. But thanks for the notice!
I’m in the same situation with an older receiver (hdmi 1.4) and a LG 4K Oled. The receiver supports TrueHD, DTS MA, etc so I wanted to extend its life.
I picked up a hdmi audio extractor from Amazon. The shield goes into the extractor, then it splits the video and audio with 2 hdmi outputs. It sends 4K HDR @ 60hz to the TV and bitstream audio to my receiver. It works very well, but occasionally has a handshake issue and I need to power cycle the extractor. Still worth it since it works very well otherwise. Also, make sure to use certified 18Gbps hdmi cables, I used monoprice cables (also on Amazon)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0755TB82Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_woxeBT1Oz9ZOR
Hope that helps!
You will not regret it! I got my 55” C8 on 11/29 and it’s the best TV I’ve ever seen period!
I’ve found the my old quality Blue Jeans Cables have worked great. For my Xbox One X the cable in the box also works.
But I just ordered 2 Monoprice certified premium high speed cables from Amazon since ARC isn’t working with my Yahama RX- 383. Dolby Vision passthrough does work and everything else works like: Spectrum DVR, Apple TV and PS4 but I want ARC! I also ordered a KabelDirekt toslink cable as a backup in case ARC doesn’t work with the certified cables. I don’t want to buy a new receiver after spending almost 2 grand on the C8 and Xbox One X just two weeks ago.
6 ft is $4.47 which should be long enough. 10 ft is $5.23 and 15 ft. is $10.48.
From the Monoprice site: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=15430
They come with the certified hologram but you can get free shipping from Amazon and Monoprice while having a lower price charges shipping so it’s actually less if you order from Amazon!
They are guaranteed to have 18 Gbps bandwidth and are also 28 gauge which is much more robust than thinner cables! I always buy 28 since I like my cables thick. I’ve always used thick gauge speaker wire as well since it performs better and can take a beating. Thin wire can be destroyed if you have pets. 16 gauge is good but it will be hard to get it in some receiver’s terminals! I had to twist them to get them into my old Yamaha back in 2010 that had spring clips for everything but the front L and R speakers. I could’ve made banana plug adapters but I didn’t bother.
You should use "High Speed" HDMI cables wherever possible, to get support for HDR and Dolby Vision. The cables don't have to be expensive though. Amazon has them at $9 for a pack of two.
You should probably get an uhd bluray player to get most of your screen if you like movies. There are frequent deals on Amazon, you can get some amazing movies for $15 or less.
Check this website for deals:
https://www.blu-ray.com/deals/#1
I have this player and other than being a bit noisy it’s been flawless for me.
https://www.amazon.com/Philips-Blu-ray-Wireless-Streaming-BDP7502/dp/B073P7KY1Y/
Some torrent trackers have 2160p uhd rips but you are looking at 50GB files which could be a problem depending on your connection. Also if you intend on building a library it’s like 1TB for only 20 movies...
OLED is the best picture quality available today.
For mounting, going above the fireplace is far from ideal for a comfortable viewing experience, however, that's why mounts like this exist.
You simply pull the TV down to your viewing height when you want to, and then just put it back up when you don't want it to be intrusive. Don't bother with the GX, it's overpriced and from what I'm seeing, you won't be able to take advantage of its ergonomics (what you're paying for over the CX).
As far as heat goes, I don't think you will need to worry at all. I have a gas fireplace and like you said, it's just for show, it doesn't really output nearly enough heat for it to make me worry.
Maybe something like this ^^^ would give you around 5'" of clearance
BuyDig.com should have the 65C8 on sale for $2099 if you call-in on Sundays only, they still were selling the C8 for that low when I called this past sunday. Otherwise you might get an offer on GreenToe.com for that low. Both authorized sellers. B&M options are pretty limited.
You may be right about $1400. ;-) BuyDig offer the 55" B7 for $1399 for 2 months from October-November.
BuyDig 2017 55" B7 $1399: https://slickdeals.net/f/10824515-lg-b7a-oled-4k-tv-s-65-2149-55-1399-free-s-h?src=SiteSearch
BuyDig has been pricing the C8 at the same prices as last year's B7 for the same months. If BuyDig don't sell it for $1399, I am sure Greentoe or Ebay will have it at that price within a month.
Use Greentoe.com and offer $2249 for an LG C8; or, browse Slickdeals and search for LG C8.
You’ll get similar threads like this where Beach Camera/Buy Dig sells the TV for $2249, as a call-in deal.
You should always lowball anyway. You shouldn't bid higher than the typical online retailers.
Here are the typical prices for various OLED models: https://slickdeals.net/f/11900783-call-in-55-lg-4k-tv-oled55e8pua-1799-oled55c8pua-1499-until-7pm-est-more-free-s-h?src=SiteSearch
The prices may be $50-100 lower, as that thread is a month old.
If you are going to wait 1-2 months, you could pick up the 65" C8" for about the same price. The 2018 models are cheaper than the 2017 models for the same month last year.
Fry's was selling the 65" B7A for $1799 in last year's Black Friday sale. https://slickdeals.net/f/10880931-lg-oled-55b7a-1199-or-65b7a-1799-fry-s-black-friday-not-2016-model?v=1

They were accepting $2,299 on Greentoe, 2 weeks ago. They must have raised the price, after running out of stock.
There aren't many options. You could buy from eBay, but price protection may not work on auction sites.
SlickDeals thread on eBay FirstClassTVs $2,249 65" C8: https://slickdeals.net/f/11909319-lg-oled65c8p-65-2018-oled-4k-uhd-hdr-smart-tv-thinq-new-2299?v=1
I would turn down the offer. Make a new Greentoe bid to get a different reseller at the $2,299.
You can buy a 65 C8 from buydig every Sunday via their call in for $2299.
It will arrive within 3-5 days and Buydig is a reliable retailer as well as an authorized dealer of LG if that's important for you.
Light bulb moment time:
Brand New LG C8 65" $2,299 (Price protect to $1,799): https://slickdeals.net/f/11708767-55-lg-oled55c8pua-4k-uhd-hdr-smart-oled-tv-1499-free-shipping?src=SiteSearch Read entire thread for past 5 weeks(06/16/18 through yesterday) of 65" C8 for $1,799 after credit card price protection on $2,299. The title is confusing since the 07/21 deal was 55" C8 $1,499. They changed it only for this past weekend, since the 65" was out of stock.

Bad price.
If you are going to spend $1500, pick up the 2018 55" C8 from the weekly Sunday call-in deal. https://slickdeals.net/f/11708767-call-in-lg-4k-oled-tv-65-oled65c8p-2299-55-oled55c8p-1549-until-6-30pm-est-free-s-h?src=SiteSearch
It's a weekly deal. You ever see those "See price detail in cart" specials for TVs? As a licensed vendor, retailers must abide by a minimum advertised price in advertising.
It only affects their advertising, not their actual selling price. If they sell for a lower price, they cannot advertise it. Some vendors only offer it, if you add it to the shopping cart. BuyDig offers it by phone, but they do not allow orders below the MAP on the website.
You can usually find the deals on Slick Deals, posted on Saturday evening for Sunday. https://slickdeals.net/f/11708767-call-in-lg-4k-oled-tv-65-oled65c8p-2299-55-oled55c8p-1549-until-6-30pm-est-free-s-h?v=1
You can also check out greentoe.com for authorized dealers. It's like PriceBuy for the authorized dealers, where you make a lowball offer and they counter. Many folks have bids of $2,299 accepted there also.
If you're still looking for a OLED model, try this. They do it every Sunday, so its not expired.
For me personally I don't think so. The panel is now 4 generations old and is LG's first generation of HDR capable panels. As such it will not get bright enough to be considered HDR Premium certified, it doesn't support any HDR spec outside of HDR10 and it also had much larger issues with vignetting and banding. Also it should be noted that you can regularly get the outgoing 2017 LG 7 series OLEDs for $1400-1500 brand new. So you should be able to pick up a newer panel than the 9500 for cheaper.
EDIT: Here is a link for a much better TV for $1199 right now https://slickdeals.net/f/11454575-call-in-starts-4-8-18-9am-edt-lg-4k-oled-tv-55-oled55b7a-1199-or-65-oled65e7-2295-free-s-h
Greentoe, it's one of those retailer bidding sites. The actual retailer that they processed it through was an LG authorized dealer, so no funny business. Took a risk but it turned out all right.
Don't know if it it still works, but worth a try. Otherwise search for "OLED" on Slickdeals and see what pops up. Read the comments to make sure it's legit.
> Might very well be an app now
Yup, it's an app and if you were to scroll down to the bottom of the page it covers just about every TV OS out there.
No regrets on my LG 65 C7! It’s a great tv for 4K movies which is mostly what I bought it for. I’m still tinkering to get it right for sports/football. I get a little blur when a deep pass is made from the laces spinning on the ball (I assume).
Slickdeals just posted an all time low price, 2050. I’ve tracked since early November:
https://slickdeals.net/da/mem-i/p111288679/k1334155/u3869212/r4
It’s a call in only price. I recommend jumping on it ASAP. Have to call before 3:30 PST.
>The TV tells me HDR is on with that HDMI port no matter what I do.
Disable "HDR and WCG" in Windows HD Color settings.
https://winaero.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Settings-Windows-HD-Color-Settings.png
The PC will then send an SDR signal to the TV instead of HDR with "simulated" SDR.
If you don't want to disable HDR completely, you can also adjust the brightness for SDR content at the bottom of the Windows HD Color settings.
I bought a refurbished 65” B7P from some guys in Everett, WA, $1500, and no tax. Comes with 1 year warranty.
It had 500 hrs on it, so I ran a bunch of test patterns on it to look for burn in (before purchasing), and it passed. I’ve had it a month, no problems, but it came with a generic LG remote, not the mouse one. B7P is Costco only, and 500 hrs about is about 90 days (if watching average amount). I think someone just bought from Costco and took advantage of their generous 90 day return policy. Maybe returned it from buyer remorse or because they charged it and couldn’t really afford it.
Here’s their offerup page: https://offerup.com/p/37185665/

This is Amazon's list of supported devices and the resolutions they support. I don't know how accurate it is, but it would seem to suggest that Prime Video does not support 4K on PC either.
mkvtoolnix is a good free tool for combining the sub file (multiple formats recognized) and video file into a single mkv file.
Easy to use and fast.
Have not tested with the internal app on my C9 but it has solved a similar problem I've encountered with the Roku media player.
WiFi on LG TVs is garbage, has been for years. Google it and you’ll find posts going back over a decade with the same problem.
Open the TVs browser, go to fast.com and run a speed test. If it’s significantly lower than you are expecting, then go to WiFi settings, disconnect the WiFi and then reconnect. Go back to the browser and recheck speed. Hopefully it’ll be ‘fixed’... until you put the TV in standby again.
Some people have had some luck changing their WiFi to another channel. Most people just throw in the towel and use a wired connection.
The stand does not weigh very much its not stable enough to support the 77 inch version simple as that
You'd need to find another solution like - https://www.amazon.com/FITUEYES-Universal-Adjustable-TT108002MB-Management/dp/B089R73C3K/
buy a used WiiU for HDMI port, buy a Wii HDMI adapter like https://www.amazon.com/Converter-Adapter-hdmi1080p-Connector-Output/dp/B078MGZ56R, or get a Composite to HDMI adapter like https://www.amazon.com/Converter-RuiPuo-Composite-Compatible-Blue-Ray/dp/B07M8RNRGT
You could have them mount the power outlet inside the recessed box. I purchased this 14 inch recessed media enclosure from Leviton that mounts to studs from the side, which keeps anything from sticking out. It has space for mounting one of these on the inside, which would allow your power cable to remain completely concealed within the recessed box.
Basically the cheapest one you can get that's compatible. I'm currently trying to figure the software out and I'm using their video tuts but its still not perfect, so I'm doing some research to make sure I'm doing everything right. Most frustrating part is it takes a long time for each calibration. At least an hour for each depending on which you use. The HDR cal looks great but the sdr needs another run, I think. Haven't done Dolby vision cal yet.
I'm not saying you have to be an engineer to use it but definitely do more research before you make a decision on it. the software isn't exactly user friendly and I think they need to do an updated tutorial with the lastest version since a few things are different. Avsforums is a great resource . Their main guy is on there and very active.
Yea. Our main floor is 550 sq ft for kitchen, dining room and entertainment room... so there’s not a tone of room

They have a used one in “very good” condition. Thinking about getting it.
No worries! It's definitely not an easy project for absolute beginners but if you want to learn a little bit of Linux stuff then it's totally manageable. If you're already familiar with Linux then it shouldn't be difficult at all :) Here's a random tutorial on setting up a Wifi-to-ethernet bridge. It looks like it even ends with a link to a tutorial on how to set up NordVPN when you're done.
Have fun!
These are great! Just breath a bit on the prints and wipe.
Non affiliate link if anyone wonders, just a recommendation.
I have this one on my LG CX and it works like a charm. I get an avg of 320mbps. I do not have problems with it, I’ve never had to unplug it since I plugged it for the first time.
Looking into the USB adapter and I think it's this one...

Just because something is affordable doesn’t mean it’s poor quality. My C9 65 is flush mounted using the Echogear tilt mount from amazon, And it works great. Very sturdy and has a clip in mechanism that made it easy to mount. Plus having it flush looks great on my wall. I purchased these a while back. I wanted to be ready for next gen of consoles, and had bought my CX earlier this year. Despite their low price (compared to others). I get 120hz on my PC, and my PS5 also seems to be running just fine using them. I was worried because of some of the reviews, I guess some people just got some bad ones? I've tested these, and I have had no issues.
I also just learned yesterday, you want to keep the cable less than 10' if possible. So these are just within that.
This Zeskit 10ft one is the only one that I could get working out of the 3 I bought. Works perfectly for 4K120 + HDR + 444
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S196T4Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Here is one that is certified I believe Most reviewers have used them:

Update I bought this tabletop stand.
https://www.amazon.com/HUVIBE-Universal-Tabletop-Adjustable-Tempered/dp/B07MTLFPPY
Mount is designed for 40-65" tv up to 88lbs. I figured the CX 77" is lighter at 60lb and bottom heavy being oled panel. It was the only 65" stand with tilt feature which I wanted.
Was a bit wobbly so I secured the back with anti-tip straps in case.
I'm using this monoprice cable with my CX and 3080, works just fine. The gsync flickering issues was an issue with the CX firmware, that's been fixed now in latest firmware, although some people getting some stuttering with gsync on between 100-120fps but not related to a cable. I believe LG is working on another patch for that issue. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZWN9CB4
I will say on my LG C7 the adapter cable and overall AV connector is terrible. It was actually very disappointing since the overall quality of theses TVs is very good. I am having pretty good luck with a s-video to HDMI converter. It was around 40 bucks and has done wonders for N64 and GameCube (imported the official Nintendo s-video cable). I’m sure you could find one for component on amazon no problem. Check out the link below. Hope this helps!

That's a really bad price for a 55" C7. The 2017 55" OLED TVs are going for $1,100 as stated at LG authorized dealers.
You can pick up the 65" B7 for $1799-1899 at LG authorized dealers like Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/LG-65-Inch-Smart-OLED-OLED65B7A/dp/B073K7ZFNF
If you are patient, you can get 65" B7 for $1,699 or less. Those deals are out maybe once or twice a month. The Dell Memorial Day sale had people picking up 55" for around $500 and 65" for around $800 after 20% cashback and price protection. It was crazy, but that sort of deal was unique to Memorial Day.
You could wait until 4th of July sales.
The 2018 C8s have a much better processor for video processing. The upscaling on the 2017s is not as good. I am a bit disappointed in the upscaling for DirecTV Now(720p/1080i) streaming compared to Blu-Rays. You may want to hold out until the fall to pick them up. The prices drop about $500 every 1-2 months.
This stand has the ability to raise up the tv and is solidly constructed. After finding some YouTube videos about it took a chance. I like the look more than the original stand and height adjustments worked really nicely. I did set the distance before screwing the legs into the VESA holes.
Your sound bar would sit on the two feet though if that makes a difference for you.
There are cheaper versions on amazon, but I went with this one and it worked out perfectly for my need of height adjustments.

Best Buy is the biggest ripoff in the world when it comes to tv mounts!
I have purchased this mount for 3 different tvs in the past 2 years including my 55B7A.
If your friend charges you over $25 then buy it on Amazon.
Did the same, I got this cable from amazon and ran it from the receiver to the C9. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GCGKK82/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I needed another one to go from my ATV4k to my receiver. Went to menards and picked up a RCA 6 ft HDMI 4k rated to 18gbs. So far everything looks great.

“Also the length of the cord is a problem, if you plan on connecting farther than 5 to 6 feet you'll require a extension cord.”
From review on Amazon
Not exactly precise but maybe enough for you to figure out if it will work.
If you can't mount it to the wall easily and want it up higher than your stand, why not go with something like this? It's not exactly the most elegant solution, but with how the C8 has the mount way at the bottom of the unit, it makes wall mounting more difficult for sure. Mine barely fit on my IKEA Framsta setup, and I'm considering taking that down and mounting directly to the wall for a slightly better placement, even though it's going to be a PITA to do so.

This is what I used. It also helps that the only external device that I’m using is an Apple TV, which I have attached to the back of the C8. The soundbar is the only other thing, but it’s just one HDMI cable that runs up inside of the wall along with a couple other network cables coming out of the router.

Many unblocks BBC iplayer. But most of the time BBC block servers ip of VPN. Second speed is an issue. when you connect to vpn speed significantly drops.
If you are outside U.K only then use a vpn. I have used many VPN for this purpose. I think the best one is PureVPN as they are really good when it comes to changing I.P.
Whenever the I.P are blocked they change the I.P within few hours and speed is really good capable of 4k streaming.
Also they have dedicated BBC iplayer unblock servers
Atlantic Universal Adjustable Heavy duty Table Top TV Stand / Base Mount up to 70" - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N1HXPVI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_m08NBbC3TAEZS
I replaced my stand with this universal. There is a 20 dollar version that seems very similar. I just can vouch for what I didn’t get. This one has plenty of height adjustment for you and the legs would be the width of the VESA mount holes (300x200). I would just make sure your table is sturdy and that the feet aren’t too long for it.
Search for universal tv stand on amazon for similar choices
This is what I have to protect my 55" LG C9 from my toddler. It also has the added bonus of filtering blue light. It's temporary in that it hangs over the tv but it's not cheap.
