Samsung doesn't make a 1TB microsd so the best you can do is get the grey 1TB A1 Sandisk and not the gold A2 version. It's slower than the 512gb Samsung but not by a huge margin. Right now that Sandisk card is your best choice for 1TB. Lexar is another trustworthy brand but all their 1TB cards seem to be A2 which you definitely do not want.
I don’t own a dock either. From what I’ve seen they aren’t worth the trouble. There’s a couple of things you could try. I had issues with my adapter. Mine was rated for 30hz and was laggy and made the Odin unplayable. I got a 60hz usb-c to hdmi hub and that fixed the issue. Also make sure your tv input is set to hdmi 2.0 if you are using a 4K tv. I’ll leave a link to the adapter that I use now. I hope this helps.
USB C Hub HDMI PD Adapter,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08SM69JLQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This worked for me. But it is 30hz. Sooo... if anyone knows a cheap one with 60hz for me and the OP?
Someone recommended this one a couple months ago and I got it. I really like it. Fits my Odin Pro nice and snug, and has a little pouch for USB-C cable.
Not OP but OP did say in another thread that they purchased the same ones I did. Here’s the link. I’m in the US.
Joycon Joystick Replacement 4... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BL4LY84?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Not OP but I just installed these and they work great. They are slightly bigger than the opening of the insert that is inside the shell. I just lightly wiggled the joystick and pressed until it came through the opening. Also the price is not bad and you get 4 of them.
Joycon Joystick Replacement 4... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BL4LY84?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I got these ones on amazon.jp just do a search for vita caps on amazon
I have the Odin pro on the way. This link would be a good upgrade then ?
2-Pack Joycon Joystick Replacement Analog Thumb Sticks for Nintendo Switch, Joystick Replacement Parts Repair Kit for Joycon & Switch Lite, Include Metal Buckles, Screwdrivers, Thumb Grips Caps, Pry Tools, Tweezers https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07PYPC8BY?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_1C4PB5H7ACRH38K2Y26W
It would be a lot easier/simpler to find something that doesn't require a separate USB dongle for each controller to begin with. Also PXN makes some good controllers but most are not great.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0932V9GKF
A few of these (they come in different colors) would be a better option. No usb dongles, far better dpad, and still pretty cheap. I got a few, originally for my Switch and I like them more than Nintendo's official pro controller.
You don't need to downscale the usbc video output port on the bottom of the Odin Pro. It's perfectly capable of outputting 1080p60 natively from the port if that's all your display can do. You might need a usbc -> HDMI cable which is very, very cheap.
At most you might need something like this if your TV's EDID resolution information is wonky: https://www.amazon.com/gofanco-Prophecy-Emulator-Passthrough-Adapter/dp/B094XFFSLH/
Which also has the benefit of not needing any external power source to work. Much better I think!
Never use that horrible built in thing.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=videoeditor.videorecorder.screenrecorder
Far better app.
Notification bar widget, no big red stop button in your recording, records audio directly from the game not by the microphone, built in video editor and compressor.
Most of the ones I've tried are fine with either the default or default fast settings, and usually at 2x resolution.
I had bought this as a travel dock for my switch and surprisingly it works with the odin. GuliKit Switch TV Dock Station for Nintendo Switch
The Super Dock has an ethernet port, so a dongle like that shouldn't be any issue.
I'm currently trying out the "AutoSync for Google Drive" app, as I saw someone else mention this somewhere. It lets you sync multiple custom folders to Google drive, either manually or automatically. Note, to sync more than one folder requires the paid for upgrade.
You could potentially configure sync rules for RetroArch and any standalone emulator if you know where the saves are stored.
This looks like it MIGHT do what you’re looking for, but it’s got a pretty low rating and I haven’t tried it so can’t give you any personal experience.
This is the one he means: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.studio08.xbgamestream
It does work with both local and Cloud, and has much more control over quality. But, it is a paid app, and I don't like the UI.
I think you can set a higher bitrate than kiwi with user agent change (or apparently also Chrome now?) will do automatically, but I haven't done a direct comparison yet, it just seems sharper.
This seems to be one of the best gameplans, seeing as it's assured to work. I've even seen some people saying you can keep the Switch caps on the sticks and just wedge them though the Odin's faceplate with a little finagling.
There's also this guy who choped the top off these caps and hot glued them onto the stripped Switch sticks
It literally just came out this week (I got mine last night). A lot of Youtubers are starting to post reviews. It's halfway between Switch Pro controller and Xbox. I haven't hooked it up to the Odin yet but used it on my Switch and it felt great.

I also have the Pro2 and SN30 Pro and the Lite (I may have a problem, haha)
Grabbed these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HRP99GL?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
First I replaced the joysticks with switch sticks. (plenty of YouTube videos showing how to do this)
After closing up the odin I just took the xbox grips and chopped off the top of the grip. I left about 1/8th of an inch of the base stick to give it more height.
Finally I just hot glued the grip to the joystick. It sounds silly and a little janky, but it works great. I did have to glue them a few times to get the hang of how much glue to use. But since its hot glue it was easy to pull off and try again once it cooled.
Came to strongly agree. Even though I got a superpack with the dock, that dock is less than optimal, but also GINORMOUS. So def not good for on the go. My recommendation would be to go with something like this:
OMOTON C4 Portable Aluminum Phone Holder
It's more stable and works with ALL my handhelds. Also has one of the stronger hinges on stands of these types.
PSA: I had bought this device previously to use on my phone but it wasn't adequate for me and threw it aside. Decided to use it on Odin, couldn't make the gamepad work, but a more valuable property comes in handy: it can remotely wake the Odin, as well as make it sleep. You put it in dock next to your TV, go to your sofa and sit down, press the middle button and Odin wakes up, ready to be commandeered further by another gamepad or mouse. As far as I know, no external device I've searched can do this, but I discovered this small and otherwise useless gimmick can.
I use this as my stand for storing/displaying my Odin but could also be used for tabletop play.
Another minimalistic one is O launcher https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.olauncher but I personally prefer Niagara's navigation :)
I like John GBA and John GB, both are paid for no ads but they offer everything I need (adjustable speed up, save states, adjustable touch buttons, runs everything including rom hacks well, but I use patched files). With all the GB/GBA emulators out there today it's hard to choose :)
It's called Niagara, I also use it on my phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=bitpit.launcher
On my phone I "cleaned" it further and added custom icons that are just white dots and since that I can't go back to icons that are different colours and shapes. The navigation also works on both sides of the screen (scrolls through the alphabet) so it's great for the Odin!
You're running the android version or trying to emulate it?
Just boooted it up and it runs fine.
Pro 256, high performance mode on, smart fan on.
I very much like Flat Equalizer.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jazibkhan.equalizer
It runs in the background and also has terrific reviews.
Might want to have some type of Adblock for this though.
I had this dock when I traveled with my switch. GuliKit Switch TV Dock Station for Nintendo Switch out of curiosity I put my odin on the dock and it recognized the dock and went into display mode when i connected to a monitor through hdmi. not only that, I put in a usb thumb drive in the dock's usb port and the odin saw it as an external drive.
Started playing T3 Arena and am loving it!
3v3 3rd person hero shooter, feels right at home on odin, native controller support too.
From what I remember, this is the "official" sequel to 'The Eight Pages'. So yeah, kind of a walking sim, but you are also on the hunt for various Collectibles.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BlueIsleStudios.Slender
On odin, it plays fine. Same with the RP2+. RP3 seems to have some massive slowdown for whatever reason. -_-* . Oh and the on screen controls don't go away even though the game has full controller support.
End of the day, it's Slender. If you liked it back then, it's exactly how you remember.
A DS stlyus wouldn't work. Complete different touch screen style. The DS screens were pressure sensitive while the Odin (and most modern mobile devices) instead rely on the conductivity of human skin. You need to find a stylus for that style of screen. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Bargains-Depot-Upgraded-0-18-inch-Replacement/dp/B00D5GVMK8/ As for a grip, I think there have been a few pictures of 3D printed ones on the sub before, but you aren't likely to find a pre-made one. Maybe browse one of the 3D Print sites for one and commission someone to print it for you (assuming you don't have a 3D printer yourself).
Ignore the built in screen recorder. It's crap, doesn't record sound from the device, instead uses the mic to record all sound including button presses and room noise, has abismal framerate and has that massive stop button in the video.
Just use XRecorder it's 1000× better of an app, has a quick menu button you can add to the pull down menu, records in device audio, full frame rate and let's you edit video within the app.
Though I do suggest using YouCut, made by the same developer, to edit the recordings. Only issue is you need to share the video from XRecorder to YouCut.
Daijisho is a frontend and has little to nothing to do with the PS5, other than being able to launch the app from it. It's also completely free.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magneticchen.daijishou&hl=en_US&gl=US
Download the Daijisho launcher!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magneticchen.daijishou
It's fairly easy to setup, and it's a heck of a lot better than the Odin Launcher if want a frontend where you just choose your game and launch it.
I use Daijishou. It is a relatively young frontend in continuous development but already now it is extremely simple to use and very fast
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magneticchen.daijishou
I snagged this beauty on Amazon. Not really a dock per se. More like a dongle. It charges the Odin (slowly) while hdmi is plugged in and It gets the job done. It also uses the usb-c port which provides 4K output which is nice. USB C Hub, QGeeM USB C to HDMI... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QXMNF1X?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I forgot I made this comment lol. https://www.amazon.com/8Bitdo-Raspberry-Compatible-Controller-Bluetooth/dp/B09M8CVMYF This is the 8bitdo dongle. Now if input lag is a concern for you, this will do slightly better than just straight Bluetooth to the Odin thru HDMI. BUT BUT BUT my wife and I have found that the best solution for lowest input lag is either wiring in our PS4 controllers thru USB or using this: https://www.amazon.com/GameSir-Wireless-Controller-Vibration-Joystick-Desktop/dp/B09NCWNLFD This controller uses its own USB dongle to connect thru 2.4 gHz connection and has the same latency as a wired connection imho. Be warned, the left analog stick has a habit of giving some drift. Nothing that has ruined a gaming session for me, but noticeable. I hope this helps!
I use this Tomtoc Switch Lite Case it’s just about the right size, when you zip it you can tell the switch lite is marginally smaller but it zips up fine and keeps my Odin safe
You need a steam account and the computer version of the program to get custom wallpapers.
One thing you might look into is a 1080p passthrough EDID emulator for your display — something like this. I haven't used this particular one but someone else endorsed it for the Steam Deck.
EDID emulators will override the supported mode information your display sends to the source device — in this case, it will "hide" the TV's 4k capability, and tell the Odin that only 1080p is supported.
(Note that these are directional — if you plug them in backwards they won't work. You'd plug this into a dock, and plug a standard HDMI cable into it. If you want to use it with just a USB-C-to-HDMI cable, you probably would need a pair of gender changers.)
That looks like the launch command for Mupen64Plus-AE. For N64 emulation I think you're better off using M64Plus FZ since it's a fork that is updated more frequently. The metadata for that should look like this:
collection: Nintendo 64 shortname: n64 extensions: bin, n64, ndd, u1, v64, z64 launch: am start -n org.mupen64plusae.v3.fzurita/paulscode.android.mupen64plusae.SplashActivity -a android.intent.action.VIEW -d "{file.path}" --activity-clear-task --activity-clear-top --activity-no-history
Where does it say they are offering a coupon?
I am curious how to identify which screen is which though. I believe this app will do it:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.andr7e.deviceinfohw&hl=en_US&gl=US
On the "General" tab is a line item titled "LCM" which I believe is "Liquid Crystal Monitor" that should detail what panel you have. Mine is listed as:
dsi_innolux_td4328_1080p_cmd_display
Not sure which batch my screen is from though.
I used to Folding@Home back when that was a thing on PS3 (mostly for the BBC One radio 😅). Gaming hardware performs protein folding simulations really well. Though I'm not sure if it's a strain on the system. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=au.com.vodafone.dreamlabapp
Just from amazon:
Veanic 2-Pack 3D Replacement... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MRJ12HX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
1 Set Analog Silicone Thumb Stick... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XKHJC5C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I followed the directions of this video and everything worked out alright. It was my first time doing something like this too.
It honestly wasn't that hard. The only tricky parts were getting the bottom part of the case detached and getting the Vita caps on.
I recommend getting a set of switch joysticks that come with some of the tools you'll need. I got this kit https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07MRJ12HX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share and it worked well for me. It comes with the guitar pick, a little wedge for prying and the tiny screwdriver you'll need. It also comes with tweezers that helped with the ribbon cable as well as getting the Vita caps on the joysticks.
Careful, this isn’t concrete advice. I had the official Switch Lite soft case and this definitely doesn’t fit the Odin.
Regular Switch cases might but the Lite is definitely smaller than the Odin.
in short, no. In long, nooooooooooooo.
No stick click, different screw holes. not compatible. just get some of these on amazon:
amazon.com/gp/product/B08BL4LY84/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
they're slightly smaller than official joycon caps, but feel better than stock odin sticks. stuff them through the hole with a little force and they don't rub the sides when installed unlike how the official joycon thumb sticks will. best available option I've found.
Looking forward to trying future versions!
I was able to push it in further and now at the USB-C port, it is touching the inner bump which I assume is for airflow. It’s a little bit more stable now, but not as solid as my Satisfye ZenGrip Pro with Nintendo Switch. https://satisfye.myshopify.com/collections/zengrip-pro-for-switch/products/zengrip-oled I think having a slightly reclining locked position would work best for your current design.
Here’s the cable I use which fits fine without the grip and also fits with the clear Odin Shell as the rear section of the shell is carved out. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V2CKPLG
Have you tried installing virtualhere https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.virtualhere.androidserver&hl=en_US&gl=US and seeing if the steam link settings allow you to share your odin game controls (virtualhere is supposed to make remote controllers seem like they're actually plugged into the host pc)
Two options:
Download the game on your phone/tablet and copy the APK with an app like this one and copy it to your odin.
Use Aurora Store to get the app from Google play. It requires you to sign in with your account to get the apps you paid for.
No.
It's a shoddy app.
You can disable the mic on the app version in the android launcher, and get better framerate and not have the big red stop button on your videos, but then it's a mute video.
Just usethis app instead.
https://www.amazon.com/Silicon-Power-Superior-microSDXC-MicroSD/dp/B083BVZ9XN/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1FHF3V0B7JN36&keywords=silicon+power+512&qid=1656888687&sprefix=siliconpower+512%2Caps%2C203&sr=8-4
This is a lesser known company but I use them on a regular basis. they have good performance for the price and are trustworthy. For a device like odin should be absolutely fine.
^this.
The sticks from ayn are not good. At all. I have a switch and they're so-so but these are definitely worse. They're less precise and harder to use. Unfortunately switch sticks don't really work with the stock cap installed as it collides with the recess the sticks sit in. I'm waiting for the gulikit sticks myself but I'm also going to be modifying the switch sticks I installed in my odin to have a cap from one of the sticks like this. I'm either going to affix them to the tops of the uncovered joycon sticks or I'm going to 3d print something that clips to the uncovered stick and allows me to attach or remove the xbox thumbstick from the top. Hopefully the stiffer switch stick works well with this solution, but either way this should help to fix my issues with them and allow me to play comfortably. I'm praying they decide to change the design of the loki max to work with better thumbsticks or I'm likely going to have to abandon that device and refund for something with actual joysticks.
The default screen recorder is pretty bad.
It uses the mic to record all app audio, so turning it off will mute your video.
There is an app version of the screen recorder you can find in the default android launcher. In that you can turn off the mic. (And get a better fps in the recording)
Another user postedthis app as a better screen recorder app. And after trying it myself, I have to agree. In app audio capture, high fps recording no big red stop button on the side.
Easiest way? it has a native Android port.
If you want the full original no messing with the thing by square, getting the psp epub file and running it through a ps1 emulator. No need for multiple files, can be read by ppsspp, fpse, duckstation, retroarch cores etc.
https://www.amazon.com/8Bitdo-Bluetooth-Controller-Switch-Android-Raspberry/dp/B08XY8H9D5/
I have the 1st version of this controller. It is so versatile with anything I need to do with it. I prefer the parallel thumbsticks so this is what I use for my Switch as well. The only negative is that it will not wake up the Switch from sleep mode. However that may be a moot point if using it mainly for the ODIN and PC gaming.
https://www.amazon.com/ACASIS-Docking-Station-Enclosure-Delivery/dp/B09CD7GWKV
This is the one and only champ on my extensive testing journey. Has everything you could want, nice size, high class build, true 4k60, nvme slot- perfection!
Got em on Amazon from a link someone posted: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C6MXIU8
If that doesn’t go through search like “Joystick thumb grip cap vita” and you should find some. They’re just little rubber covers but you can remove the main rubber cap part of the joycon and replace it with these
Alien Isolation is my current android game love.
I'm amazed that it translated so well to mobile, AND woks perfectly on Odin. (The game says it wont, but it do)
https://www.amazon.com/Sheets-Fabric-Square-Colors-Project/dp/B09PYLLGTY
Maybe applying something like that to the grip in certain high friction areas
I got a really nice foldable metal stand, so I can prop up my Odin when I travel. I believe it's this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-licheers-Multi-Angle-Compatible-Stand-Black/dp/B07M9B6NGX
I think these dimensions are roughly the same as the Steam Deck. I think if we could find a Steam Deck case without grooves for the grips (these steamdeck grooves mess with the depth of how the ODIN sits) or a tight flap on the screen (this flap can mess with the triggers of the ODIN) then we could make something work. I actually had ordered a Steam Deck case (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09STVV9M8) on Amazon that technically fits the ODIN with grip but it isn't a perfect fit. I guess I'll use that until something better comes along
It is not a Switch and does not remotely come close to the Switch experience of "dock it and it just works".
I can't speak for the official dock, but I got this $30 3rd-party Switch dock and it works amazingly. It's only 1080p60hz out, but it's basically just "plug and play."
The only change I have to make is to change the control settings. I use the "Xbox" configuration in Odin but, ironically, when I connect a bluetooth Xbox controller I have to switch back to the "Odin" version or else the Xbox controls are flipped.
For the Odin, there is definitely some set-up time, but once you get things the way you want it's a fantastic experience. The Odin has become my #1 played console (over Switch, PS5, and PC) now.
Note: I will say that the Dolphin emulator sucks but in terms of controller support. At least on the Android app, it doesn't support multiple controller profiles, so you'll have to rebind the buttons every time you switch from docked to undocked. I have personally decided to just only play GC games when docked so I don't have to rebind it.
So this pouch is perfect. Inside is a elastic strap and some Velcro so you can strap in your Ayn device and it’s compact.

Added a Nite Ize Carabiner for quick click options.
On the Odin provided she’ll I have added some clear Dragon Gripz to the sides and around the back. Clear so it doesn’t do anything but diffuse the led light a bit but adds some grip to the sides.

Just thought I’d pass along in case anyone was looking for ideas aside from the Ayn direct stuff which is great.
Go for the Odin Lite as it has wifi^6. (Though the pro/ Base are just fine)
Then get PSPlay!, as it will allow you to map Odin's controls to something the PS4/5 understands.
After that and the connection set up, it's like playing a on Vita.
I went with PSPlay! over the official app, and even on my elderly wifi^4 network it ran great. Just had to set up the controls and it was like playing on a vita.
I can attest to this one, bought it day ago, works with USB, but every port shows up on the Odin so pretty sure HDMI and Ethernet work too.
Was just testing multiplayer on aethersx2.
8Bitdo Pro 2, D input mode (Android mode) had virtually no input lag vs Odin controller.
Here's the Vita Caps you requested. I removed the joycon rubber before putting the vita ones on. I read on another post that the vita caps get a little too tight when trying to squeeze them over the rubber on the switch sticks.
These are the sticks I used. I removed the rubber caps the sticks start with, which was a little difficult at first, but not impossible even without a knife. I put the Vita caps on before putting the sticks into place. It's easier without the caps, but it was still really easy with the caps on (very slight pushing to get them through). Ultimately I figured it'd be a pain to put the caps on after the sticks were installed. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MRJ12HX
I don't know a damn thing about retroarch, but I do know that the myboy! emulator has gyro.
Idk if there's a core for RA or not, but maybe a different gba core will work better than mgba? Or a stand alone option.

Quick update on this, I did some digging on tortion springs and found that the PlayStation 4 dualshock appears to have a similar button setup as the Odin and the springs are really similar (more so than PS5 controller).
So I ordered a bag of replacement springs off Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07JK4J9TY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_KFDNCTR34SQK92899S47?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) and installed one today, by following the Ayn button fix video, and the L2 is now working great. Really please how maintainance this device is even for novices like me.
Now, back to gaming!
Great. Thanks for the info. So this pack should cover me I am guessing.
*stealthy slides this link hidden under a napkin*
I am going to test this case out when my Odin arrives. I have one for my Switch and I'm hoping the Switch Lite version will work. I have my doubts, but they're so slim yet durable that I'm really hopeful. My Odin arrives by end of day Monday and I the Lite version case arrived yesterday, so I'm testing this right away to add it to the compatible accessories list. I want my name on that list!
But yeah, I bought the Odin case too for the same reason. I want one that will definitely fit without being too loose or smashing those shoulder buttons.
I bought this Snorlax case for NS Switch/OLED. Unfortunately it's pretty big. And like the other Switch cases, the Odin moves in there too much. So it's not protected.
For a super simple case I chose this Switch Lite case:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07W5NH79S
I’m curious to see if my Switch charging cable fits. I like the U shape cable to reduce port strain. Too bad the cable isn’t USB PD, but is quick charge compatible I believe. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V2CKPLG/
This is an alternative that is PD, but the connector is a bit larger in every respect. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095SL79D9/
Ooof. That’s like $250 USD. Hell no to that price! Still on sale for $125 USD. I’m sure your gov will get a nice cut for getting it on that island of yours as well haha or so I’ve heard!!! Sadly it’s Amazon (hate supporting them) but nowhere else to find it like this:
SanDisk 1TB Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter - 120MB/s, C10, U1, Full HD, A1, Micro SD Card - SDSQUA4-1T00-GN6MA https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HCPTMJG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_01KSP51KDM02G77SHQVR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I like my Super Dock overall, but I supplemented it with a simple USB-C to HDMI adapter. This is the exact one I got for, like, $10, but there are a ton of options: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B091JZV9XC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_W80DV6TKJQ82FZXJN7B6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I leave my Super Dock on one TV, but this adapter I can easily move around to other TVs in my home. It doesn't charge the device, but I find the battery life to be fantastic, so that's not usually an issue for me.
Even if you order the one they're pumping out as fast as possible (black pro 256g) you'll most likely be waiting until end of June for the odin, so availability isn't really going to make this decision for you.
The steam deck is about the same size as a nintendo switch with those comfort grip things but quite a bit fatter. The odin is about the same as the switch so size and portability aren't really that big of a difference. None of them are actually pocket-able.
From a performance standpoint the odin can do GameCube/Wii and PS2 emulation. nothing else in the segment can So comparing it to any of the powkiddy or anbernic junk isn't really valid.
If you're looking for a something you can get going within the next two-three months? Get a cheap used android and a gamesir x2 usbc.
Since you've got the budget to try to get a steam deck or odin at all I give it a 60% chance that you've already got something with at least a snapdragon 860 in your pocket right now. If not then you get a nice spare phone. ;)

It does not.
You'll need to download it from the playstore and by default, you'll have a few free wallpapers (only costs money to buy the steam program, the wallpapers are free) including the retro landscape one, so if that's all you want, no need to head to steam at all.
Use this app to create a .nomedia file in one or all of your box art directories. .nomedia files huge the folder they are in from gallery apps and the recent page in the file manager.
I used it to make one, deleted the app and have copied it to any other folders as I needed it.

You can use a button remapper.
I use it and can double tap or combinations of buttons. It's great and can be set on a per app basis.

This is the exact card I'm referring to...it's coming today, but I'm curious if it's worth returning and getting this when it's sale as my Odin won't arrive for a few months...

In general, Remote play is just as good as Vita if not a little better with screen size and current app support. I'm using PSPlay (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=psplay.grill.com) instead of Sony's app so I can use the native buttons, though. It comes at a price, but worth it to feel like a Switch Lite.
I use this one for my Switch. It's much more smaller than the original Switch Dock. I don't have my Odin yet, but I read about the Odin being able to use the Nintendo Dock, so I guess this should be fine too. Has one USB 3.0 slot for controller or external drive.
I've converted a Switch dock to a low profile BASSTOP (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071YVC3NJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_20KZTS0A7Z84NM4HVT5P) shell, and even though Odin fits in the reduced dock, it doesn't output video. I didn't try it for longer than 1 minute because I also don't want my Super Dock power cable to fry the Switch Dock. The Switch will work on the Super Dock when using Switch power cables (USB ports don't work, though), but not the other way around.
I believe op is looking for something like this

As someone who uses their Odin primarily as an Xbox cloud streaming machine, I was in the same boat. The joysticks were just too small and not grippy enough for fast paced games. I tried the Skull & Co. thumb grips that were made for the Switch, but they moved around too much and kept falling off.
Then I bought these thumb grips from Amazon that were made for a Vita. I could not for the life of me get them to fit on the Odin. While trying to make them fit with brute force, I accidentally discovered the rubber caps on the Odin's joysticks were removable. Once I removed the stock rubber caps on the Odin, the Vita thumb grips fit perfectly! These thumb grips add a little more surface area and a lot more grip which have helped with accuracy. I played through the entire Halo Infinite campaign without any issues.
Note: This does not change the fact that the Odin's joysticks still have very little travel. There is nothing that can change that other than AYN designing and selling replacements (which will probably never happen). We may have to wait for the Odin 2 to get Xbox quality joysticks.
Yup!!!!
And if there is a problem just use button remapper. I use the m buttons in the back with others to launch apps, volume, brightness etc.

Actually you can use a button remapper to trigger activities like screenshot, launch an app, dim the screen etc. I don't have to touch the screen anymore. You can also set up macros and combinations depending on which app you're using.

I did something similar using this Razor Mouse Grip Tape. I like the feel and don't have to worry about the back getting scratched when I set it down.
