I'm married, but I just heard about Bristlr. Never tried it. Not endorsing it. Just sayin'. It's there.
That said, shaving can be cathartic. I lopped off a two-yeard with a strop razor barber shave on my wedding day as a sort of new-beginnings thing. So, I can see how keeping or shaving it could both be fun decisions. Just make sure whatever you end up doing is your decision and not out of some sense of obligation or mourning or "who's going to want me now?" pity party.
Beard, like strength, comes from within.
Yeah, their masks can't seal at all. The only shitty thing about beards is not being able to use normal PPE and needing forced air systems like PAPR's at 10x the cost + added bulk / inconvenience. I wonder if the Army makes kit accommodations for this?

EDIT: N/M, looks like you can get forced air modules for normal respirators/gas masks, seems like it shouldn't be an issue then?
Depends on the type of carrier oil that best suits you beard and skin.
Jojoba – is similar to your natural human oils and is easily absorbed by your skin
Argan – makes skin softer and protects against signs of aging like wrinkles
Sweet almond – keeps inflammation at bay, which particularly helps prevent in-grown hairs
Coconut – one of the best natural moisturizing and hydrating products on the planet, great for dry environments
Hazelnut – helps prevent acne and eczema
Hemp seed – another moisturizing oil, helps prevent facial hair from becoming brittle
Castor - helps strimulate hair growth
Also Avocado and Grapeseed are other options.
For what it's worth, I bought a carrier oil pack on Amazon and blended them with Jojoba oil to make my own DIY beard oil. Way cheaper than buying small bottles.
1 part avocado oil
0.5 part castor oil
1.5 part sweet almond oil
1 part grapeseed oil
1 part coconut oil
3 part jojoba oil

Literally jojoba oil from amazon (link below) and then whatever essential oil smells you like (I went to the health food store). I use, sandalwood, cedar wood, a bit of lavender, a bit of frankincense, and a couple of drops of orange. I like the way it smells. Buy what works for you!

Sure basically there is a popular video game called Overwatch and one of the playable characters is Hanzo who kind of looks like you. Anyway it's kind of a joke amongst fans of the game that he is basically useless and most people do not know how to play him. Which has led to the meme of players asking each other to not play Hanzo
And I will just leave this here.
Perhaps the greatest cup in existence today.
He literally has porn where he is the coach and he fucks the players, so... It's his shtick.

or "Red" Dead Redemption ...the video game?
I couldn't find a book by that title.
Other than failing terribly at Myst which my kids solved in about ten minutes I don't have any experience with video games plus this computer is probably no up to playing one.
I did, however, find a list of seven freaky Westerns to read while waiting for RDR2 to come out.
....and thanks for the beard comment : )
>Soups are impossible things now.
we have the technology
The problem is that modern humans bath and wash to get rid of our natural oils as these attract bacteria which cause odor. Without your beard catching and absorbing the oils from your head and face it dries out, this doesn't look or feel good.
Men have been using oils to enhance the quality and increase the moisture of their beards for thousands of years, usually olive or castor oil. In 400 B.C., Herodotus wrote about the advantages of using castor oil on men's beards.
Not directly.
For example - With Paul's epistile to the Romans, He was referring to pagan rituals to idolatry. (Romans 1:26-267).
With 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Paul was referring to carnal acts and prostitution (specifically catamites and male concubines)
What other references are there besides ones referring to idolatry or prostitution?
I have tried a lot of these. A LOT. There are two in particular that I call my A-Team, Honest Amish and The Bearded Bastard.
Honest Amish beard balm took my beard to a new level. My beard sucked before I started using it. It was dull and scraggly looking, plus I had dry skin/flakes. The first day I used it I noticed a difference in how soft my beard was. Ten days into using it the balm eliminated all my problems. It made my beard shiny and vibrant, and I wholeheartedly recommend using it.
https://www.etsy.com/shop/HonestAmish?ref=shop_sugg
The Bearded Bastard oil is something I recently started using. I got a bottle of the Morocco oil for Christmas and it smells amazing. He uses 6 or 7 oils and it's quite good. I enjoyed the Morocco so much I bought 3 other scents from him: Woodsman, RE Byrd, and Opium Den. His oils are expensive, though. The Woodsman and Morocco sell for $20. The Opium Den and RE Byrd sell for $30 and I won't be buying them again. The Opium Den smells identical to the Morocco to my nose, and the RE Byrd smells very similar to the Woodsman. Even though they are pricey I would still recommend them. They work great and they are BY FAR the best smelling beard oils, in my opinion.
I cannot give a good answer (I'm in the business of looking for a job). From doing a quick search, if you want to keep facial hair then you should at least trim it so it looks professional. It may be the case that your beard might not have much concern once you have the job, but the interviewer is going to make judgements based on your appearance.
I just use <strong>irfanview</strong> to crop & resize, before I upload to imgur.
Anything else I need to do more extensive image work I'll use Gimp. (don't get it from from the sourceforge traitors).
Googling "gentleman's shower curtain" brings up a bunch of other sellers, including Amazon, which is a few bucks cheaper after free shipping. Amazon also shows a cleaner image of the entire design.
The beard looks fine in terms of coverage/growth/etc. Definitely not a neckbeard. But, it looks horribly maintained.
> i dont know style or fashion or whatever-the-hell at all, and im not entirely sure i care enough to buy into it
If you don't really care how it looks that's great. You should look however you want to look. But, I think you could make it look very good by getting a few bearding basics like:
One of these: These brushes vary in stiffness of bristles quite drastically. For me, I got one that was way to tough and would scratch my face. You may like a tougher one. It's all personal preference. I found a softer one that is great for me. If you want to know which one I got specifically, let me know. I'll check it when I can. You can check out a bunch by searching Amazon for "boars hair brush".
One of these: The one I linked is plastic. I prefer a metal one. Never tried a wood one. You can check out a bunch by searching Amazon for "beard pick"
Some beard oil: This is extremely helpful in keeping it looking nice. It has many benefits and there are tons of articles detailing what oils will help different problems (beardruff, itchy skin, etc.) It just keeps the hair quite healthy. We've got tons of online shops in the side bar that offer discounts with the code bearddit.
A lot of people seem to have one or the other of the brush and pick. Personally, I find they each have their separate uses. I will get all my hair going in the same direction with the boars hair brush and then I'll use the pick to make it look fuller and make sure it's nice and even.
To be honest that brush looks like it has plastic bristles. Boars hair are literally hair from a boar and look accordingly. Jump on amazon and find one rated well. I bought the following one and am rather pleased with it. https://www.amazon.com/Repsol-Care-Natural-Handmade-Mustache/dp/B019CFQORQ
Mine didn't really start to perform until I got into my forties. Until then my beard growth was kind of patchy and inconsistent. Now it's nice and strong. If you aren't in your forties yet, don't give up hope. :)
Oh, and I use Honest Amish Beard Balm (Amazon), a hair dryer, and a round brush. Trust me... it doesn't just lay like that.
Nice question. A lot of people misunderstand the use of oil on the face because they think it clogs pores and causes breakouts. What causes breakouts is dirt and sebum. Everyone's face naturally produces sebum, which is why there are so many acne cleansers. It is always recommended to moisturize after cleansing the face since the soap cleans away the skin's natural oil. The good and the bad oils.
Beard oil is made with lightweight natural oils that do not leave a greasy residue and they are easily absorbed by the skin (maybe it will leave stains on the pillow if you lay down right after application. A solution would be to apply in the morning) It is recommended to use a beard shampoo for cleansing and the beard oil for moisturizer.
Beard oil cleanses your skin. Have you ever heard or oil cleansers? Same concept, but for beards. It opens up clogged pores, hydrates the skin and hair, prevents split ends and also because you have a healthy skin, you will notice less irritation caused by dead skin cells.
Make sure you don't cheap out on beard oil because as a skincare product, only the high-quality ingredients will deliver the best results. There are many products on the market that contain fillers such as silicone, those ingredients have negative effects on the skin.
I invite you to check out the HiLée Amazon page for a variety of Organic, natural and cruelty-free options for the bearded man.
Saw this review on Amazon stating that this fella bought the Brio as well as a Cyrico 5-speed pet trimmer, and they seem identical. If anything it’s slightly cheaper and comes with scissors (probably wouldn’t use on beard but still). Can anyone confirm?
I have a long and thick beard that is very unruly and curly.
The only way I can get it smooth and straight is too freshly shower it, only halfway dry it, then apply the following two products:
1) https://jet.com/product/detail/ed1f9ab85d704237878c36aaaa702015
Then dry by blow drying and brushing
I found this:
"Regardless of the beautiful hair, many passengers had to shave their head if they were suspected to have lice. This included children, men, and women. The immigrants were required to remain on Ellis Island until they were cleared of lice;..."
You are clearly a wonderful girlfriend and I suggest you hit up ebay or start perusing tag sales in New England.
I say go for it. Looks like the type of growth pattern that Gael Garcia Bernal has and he always starts a bit thinner and then it grows it in nicely.
Also, I can't totally tell from the pic, but perhaps you can let your neckline grow down about 1/2 inch lower? (That way it's not so tight on your jawline.) EDIT: just reread your post and you said this already!
I was going to bust your balls a bit for missing it since it was the first result on Google, but then I went back and realized my search term involved a typo and wasn't entirely intuitive in general.
Oh! It's called Honest Amish Beard Balm. I don't think it has anything to do with the place. My bad homie.

I had this exact same problem, where my skin would get super dry whenever I grew my beard out for more than a couple of weeks. Beardruff like you wouldn't believe. So i usually would keep it pretty trimmed, that seemed to help. But about 2 months ago I decided I would give it a full-effort try. Same issue, super dry skin. Using dandruff shampoo on it kept the beardruff down but the skin was still really dry and itchy. I was about to trim it down again but then some random post brought me to /r/beards and I did some reading here. I decided to try some beard-specific products and a good brush. I ended up with Honest Amish beard balm (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009NNFB0O/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_r3ewub1EERK6S) and a generic boars-hair brush (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0041TBQUO/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_44ewub06YA7PZ) and my beard has never been better. Beardruff? Gone! Itchiness? Gone! I give my beard a good rinse every shower and wash it with shampoo two or three times a week and then brush this stuff in afterwards and its never felt better. Seriously, worth every penny.
Like this video. http://www.ehow.com/video_4410052_trim-man_s-beard.html Make that thin chin line look like you mean it to be just like that. I'm not an expert, but my gut tells me that unless you're going to some other kind of style, get rid of hair under the chin if there's no cheek hair to back it up.
I saw your Zelda SS post and laughed at "Bitch" link. I bought the following beard straightener, works good for me with damp hair. For comp, I'm of French and Portuguese discent. Best of luck!
Beard Straightener, Beard Straightening Comb with Cordless/Mini Sized/Auto Shut Off for Traveling, Home, Dating https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RQ95PGK/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_1VJZFSF8F9BKWC09E575?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I highly recommend Professor Fuzzworthy. Top rated on Amazon. I have been using it for about 5 years. It did wonders for me. My beard is about your length. BTW, great beard!
Professor Fuzzworthy's Beard SHAMPOO with All Natural Oils From Tasmania Australia - 120gm https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HBSC3JA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_84MS9G9EZ7F1F8HKNJKB?psc=1
Honestly your grays look fine - mine make me look like a rabid raccoon. I've tried several products but what I've found to look the most natural and is super easy to use is Just For Men Control GX Grey Reducing Beard Wash Shampoo.
If you can try not to wash it so often maybe once or twice a week max if you don’t do a dirty job or get it dirty. Oil it every day and use butter every night to nourish the hair.
Aside from that letting it grow long will straighten it out but if you don’t want to do that you could use a beard straightener!
Overall it looks great. Going to a barber and getting a beard line up could help. I find that getting the lines of the beard nice and sharp, makes the shape of the beard look a lot better and also more intentional. The lines really dont look bad at all, but getting the neck clean and the lines sharp goes a long way. A Beard Brush can help it look more full as well. Keep on keeping on brother

Honestly, I wish I'd gotten a different graphic in hindsight. But it works great, fairly breathable, easy to wash. They're REALLY long, so again, cut in half (or more).
I have this trimmer. So far I’ve been happy with it. I’ve had it for about 3 months now after my last one finally came apart and died on me.
I got one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BWBQ3T3/ . It's bigger at the bottom, almost like a pouch, so you can keep the beard in it and it's still closed at the bottom. Also the ear loops are adjustable by pulling on the neck lanyard.
Really comfortable and my whole beard fits in.
I've found a mask that I like. It's not the best, but here it is: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08FHNBV73/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_gNbUFbE5WT3CF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It's basically extra long/big, so you can pull the bottom edge of it over your beard and to your neck. Works pretty well for me. Still messes with your beard but a quick brush with your fingers will fix it back up. No stupid curl you have to deal with all day just cause you wore your mask for 2 minutes.
Thanks, I got it from Amazon. It's great. Really warm, soft, and comfy.
I personally really like Honest Amish. You can find their line on Amazon. I have used the Heavy Duty Beard Balm when I needed more control, and with a longer beard am now using their Classic Beard Oil. Link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00M49SG0Q/
For hair as thick and full as yours look into getting a "soft touch paddle brush" ( amazon link to one ).
It, combined with a good beard oil, will detangle your beard better, with little tugging or pulling. Top with beard wax when you get it laying the direction you want. That typed your beard will never be straight. That just the genetic dice you rolled. Ask most any black woman in America how much pain, time, and money is involved in getting curly hair to be straight. So unless you're willing to endure that, your beard hair will never be straight. But your beard can still look well kept. You just have to keep on it every day. Beard oil, brush, defood, repeat.
Don't use soap or shampoo on it every day, either. It'll just strip out all the oil making it a dry, itchy, flaky, bushy disaster that you want to shave off. You can rinse it with water everyday, just lay off oil strippers (soap/shampoo).
I’ll share the link. Don’t know and don’t care if it’s allowed😜 Anything from Plant therapy is really good and they come in all different sizes. 4oz, 8oz and 16oz. Also if you don’t want to order from Amazon you can get them at Whole Foods and they have great stuff also. They sell Aura Cacia. Very good brand
Plant Therapy Moroccan Argan Oil + PUMP. 100% Pure & USDA Organic, First-Press, Virgin, For Face, Hair, Skin, Nails & Cuticles. 16 oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KYKFUEQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_uB1Rziwr5SDEx
Just a cheap can of pink temporary hairspray. The joke shop type. I was planning to do a base coat of white first but something something procrastination something.
I use stache bomb stiff (Amazon link). It hold all day unless its super muggy out.
my pleasure. I invite you to check out the HiLée Amazon page for a variety of Organic, natural and cruelty-free options for the bearded man.
if she complains about your beard because it is rough on her skin, I recommend you use a softening beard shampoo and a beard balm to keep it all together. Any beard product with jojoba oil will make a rough beard significantly softer.
Let it grow, I am sure you look great with a full beard. That mustache you have is the envy of many dudes.
I invite you to check out the HiLée Amazon page for a variety of Organic, natural and cruelty-free options for the bearded man.
my pleasure. An oil with natural ingredients is what will give you the best results. The cheap oils contain silicone which clogs your pores and can have the opposite desired effects on your skin.
You can check out HiLee on Amazon. We sell a variety of natural, organic and cruelty-free options for the bearded man. Good luck
My pleasure.
I recommend HiLee's natural products. The oil is unscented so that it doesn't interfere with your wax scent.
You can check out their page at Amazon
Yeah for sure trim but DONT SHAVE!
lol
Plus shaving makes your skin prone to ingrown hairs, especially with the curls.
Using a good and natural beard oil always helps with the irritation and to prevent those hurtful ingrown hairs.
I recommend HiLee's natural products. The oil is unscented so that it doesn't interfere with any other scent.
You can check out their page at Amazon
HiLee has a softening beard shampoo that can be used daily without dehydrating the skin and beard.
I suggest using the shampoo, then towel dry and comb it down using a bristle brush with a little beard oil.
The oil softens the hairs further while enriching it with vitamins and minerals. Lastly, use a tiny bit of beard balm with a light hold to keep the hairs all in place.
You can also try trimming the cheeks a tiny bit shorter than the chin to give it a V shape. In my opinion, that is a great look.
To check out the HiLee products on Amazon, you can click here
Good luck
I hear you. My mustache is just about the same length. I finally bought one of these: https://www.amazon.com/MoGuard-Mustache-Guard-Drink-Attachment/dp/B01JQKJWBM/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=mustache+guard&qid=1601385432&sr=8-2
It's the Arkam Beard Straightener Brush. I love it to pieces so far. It takes a long while to cool down after use, which is annoying since I travel a lot and have to pack it away constantly, but other than that it's the bomb! Here's a link to it if you're interested:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q5C9645/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_btf_t1_7O7DFbQ5FSC6N
I've had a full beard since 2012. I shave it completely off once a year. This year I shaved it off in April, so this is about 4 months of growth. My beard is thick and poofy. I tried all the beard oils and products on the market and nothing did it for me. On whim, I tried my wife's hair friz creme and it worked wonders on my beard!
Best stuff I've ever used...
Honest Amish Beard Balm Leave-in Conditioner - Made with only Natural and Organic Ingredients - 2 Ounce Tin https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009NNFB0O/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_j6yoFbQ531KF8
I'd say let it grow longer. Maybe get a straightener. This is what I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VFRMGVD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_.RBdFbRENBDVR But I still recommend the hair dryer brush, it is not so hard on your hair as a straightener. Good luck I know it could be frustrating
I bought these from Amazon and I’ve been happy so far. Completely buzzed my head twice, trimmed my beard twice, still on 60% charge. Was gonna go for a name brand but they were all sold out of everything thanks to COVID I guess.
Do what my friend?
If you mean using the app it's not that complicated.
If the square is not there - You are living not living in an "allowed" are and must use a VPN to place your location elsewhere.
Use an app like Turbo VPN: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=free.vpn.unblock.proxy.turbovpn&hl
1) When it's running tab USA, New York 2) Run the Google arts & culture app again
Now you should be able to locate the above mentioned square.
I'm just a month into my first beard in a while, but this time around I decided to ask some bearded colleagues for some product advice. On recommendation I snagged a Grave Before Shave beard oil sampler from the maker's site and enjoyed some of them more than others.
For long-term care, I ended up going with the 4 oz. version of this beard balm for $23 on Amazon. Dry/red/itchy spots on my cheeks are subsiding and doing noticeably better. Liking it so far, has a pleasant but mild scent.
Best of luck in finding something that works for you.
Amazon has a ton of balms and oils so you don't have to worry about tracking them down in shops. I really like the Rugged Monkey balm (and think you would love the scent of it) and Honest Amish oil.
Just get a natural beard oil, coconut oil, honey, some scent, that sort of thing. If anything causes irritation, it will be easier to figure it out whats causing it. Stay safe
Any particular one you recommend? I'm looking at Honest Amish and it seems good. Any a bit cheaper that you have tried or know of?
http://smile.amazon.com/Honest-Amish-Original-Beard-Wax/dp/B009NNA3IY?sa-no-redirect=1
That's the one I am looking at now.
I could deal with the smell when washing it if it would soften my hair. my beard is a bit coarse, but it keep it groomed. trying to grow it out. I use this beard oil.
http://www.amazon.com/Gibs-Beard-Tattoo-Voodooprince-Ounce/dp/B00MFW4EVM.
It defiantly helps soften my beard a bit and smells really good. I think coupling that with some of that conditioner you have my pair up nicely. Once you've used it for a bit longer let me know your final thoughts.
Olina 100% Handmade Premium Quality Natural Green Sandal Wood Comb Pocket Comb with Natural Wood Aromatic Smell (Narrow-tooth, Black Ox Horn & Green Sandal Wood, Moon, 4.7'') https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EPG5ZIC/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_97F7ub009R4BS
There are trimmers made for this sort of thing, which would work. Waxing would last longer, though.
I've used the Arkam Ionic Beard Straightener for a little over a year and it works well and is only $30. The only "issue" I have with it is when you first turn it on, the temperature gauge climbs quickly, but the brush isn't heating up as quickly as the temp gauge indicates. Just give it a couple minutes and it will get up to temp. Otherwise it works great.
If you guys are even anywhere interested in the results of this minoxidil. I am 27 turning 28 next month I've been on this for a little of 6- 7 months now. I can tell you now, from a person who only had a mustache and chin hair. No cheek or sideburns, it works. But you have to be strict and routines to do it everyday twice a day. I made a tumblr on my progress. I wasn't so crazy about it up until a month ago where there hair just doesn't stop coming in. Here is the link. https://www.tumblr.com/blog/izepie
Did you recently get the job? Because its a difficult situation If you recently accepted the job you would/should be aware of the requirements of the beard nets.
I have looked online and it doesn't seem like there is a lot. Maybe this balaclava?
Other option would be using hair grips and grab and twist the beard into a bunch then pin it up.
I remember someone here on reddit pinning up their stomach length beard for work.
I have one similar to this :
And it's definitely worth it! This and a hairdryer and you can shape your beard any way you want. Dry it with a comb first, and then dry while using that brush from your jaw line 👍
This brush I recommend to anyone with a longer beard - https://www.amazon.com/Wet-Brush-Detangler-Hair-Brush-Detangling/dp/B07CX8J3NQ
I think it’d solve your issue, it’s only 6 bucks so if you run out of options you should give it a try
I'll have to try some of these! I like balm better that oil. I usually wash, condition, comb out and dry. Apply the balm. For washing and conditioning I use Viking Revolution because you can get big 17oz bottles from Amazon. Then King Gillette for the balm.
That all depends on colouring, wax if you have a darker colour beard and powder of you’re blonde/ginger, try these.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Schwarzkopf-Re-Nature-Re-Pigmentation-Cream-medium/dp/B07FP2491B this product. not a dye, super natural results
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004Z209HS?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
under 19 bucks. Lasts me over a year. Are you drinking the shit?
This is the stuff I use: Sudden Death by Death Grip
It's strong, but not extra strong. Their extra strong hardens too quickly before you can get everything applied and you wind up pulling out a few hairs every day.
I've tried lots and the Sudden Death is what I keep coming back to.
Once shaped, the beard is easy to maintain! I also need to grow out for about 3-4 months before I really like it’s look. I usually keep it around a 7-8 months of growth length.
I got a trimmer with an extra long guard for when I truly can’t get to my barber and have a need to knock it down. It helped a lot. I like this because if I am going to keep it short, it would still work. Though, I’ve had it a couple years now and thankfully haven’t used it much!
I bought the just for men beard coloring but it takes forever to see results so now I just let them be. Beard color for me
Are you just looking for a tea tree shampoo or are you looking for a whole tea tree lineup of things like shampoo, conditioner, oil, etc.?
If you just want a shampoo, I'm a fan of the Maple Holistic's Tea Tree shampoo: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0099EHM86
a cricket 8 is my favorite. I alternate heat and cold blasts (blue button on your blow dryer) on each section to set it in place.
The benefit is that it’ll look consistent daily and if you want it to look smoother and less friz. Oil it up post shower, round brush/blow dry, finish with either a balm for shine or whatever clay is left on your hands from styling your hair.
It should take 5min or less once you get your routine down.
I just looked up wet brush and found this https://www.amazon.com/Wet-Brush-B838WBLACK-Mens-Detangler/dp/B07CX8J3NQ assuming that is what you're talking about I definitely agree. I use a similar brush I got at the pharmacy but it has the same type of bristles and large gaps between them. I use that brush and brush with and against the grain after showering and them use the boars bristle to style it and I hardly ever have any tangles. Before I started going with the two brush method and only used the boar bristle I had lots of tangles because my beard is curly.
I've been using Wild Willies since my wife got it for me about 4 years ago, smells nice and keeps my beard soft and skin moisturized.
My beards quite long so I also have a wood brush and drop a few drops of oil on it then comb through. Smells nice and keeps it soft.
Additional comments to answer some questions:
Morning routine is a wash with beard shampoo (Gillette) followed by a simple comb and blow-dry, finishing off with beard oil and beard balm, alternating between Honest Amish (oil and balm) and big-box retail Cremo (oil and balm). As you can see, my beard is really straight, and I've been lucky not to get any tangles, so a regular comb almost never gets caught.
From months 3 to 9-ish, I used a beard straightener (heated brush) as well to control that below-the-ear cowlick. But after the 9 month mark, it became more a detriment and I stopped using it.
For out-and-about maintenance combing during the day, I have this pocket/wallet comb:
Probably not worth the money tbh. Keep doing what you are doing. Also, instead of beard oil, consider giving this a go, I used to love it. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B074N7DV8X/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_WX5PY6J1ZBKBG173H4NH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

So after the shower I towel dry heavily I mean your beard has to be dry or your burning hair so keep that in mind. I brush up several times then down a few more. Hit it with some oil and a little balm for shape and it’s good to go. Best 30 bucks I’ve ever spent.
I'd really recommend one of these. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000J1AD52/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_NTWG6F81W83CD2M2BC11?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Use for every day rinsing of the beard or if not everyday, just everytime you shower. For exfolliation, find a good facial scrub that works for you, I quite like the brickell one. You should exfoliate once or twice a week with this stuff. Don't strip all the natural oils out the beard so don't use beard shampoo or conditioner too much afew times a week is optimal. You don't want to be putting too much oil or balm in either so just keep an eye on that, may give clogged pores which should give a lovely feeling to go along with the itch. If its still greasy 30 mins after of applying then you've done too much. Cut back on any heat treatment, like blowdrying or using a heated brush, just turn down the heat. If all else fails honestly just go to the doctor because it could be fungal and they will be able to treat you. I recently got treated for a skin condition it was fungal, I had an itch under the beard I suspected was the same condition, used the shampoo the doc gave me and the itch is gone. There are afew different conditions it can be but I hope its just dry skin and you have a quick fix. All the best!
If you’re looking to try to accelerate growth minoxidil has worked really great for some members in here check that it think it’s r/minoxbeards.
As far as grooming the foundation is you beard wash/conditioner. I like cremo but there are a ton of good brands.
Boar bristle brush is an absolute must helps keep it groomed but also helps distribute your beard oil over all your beard
A good beard oil- gotta have it especially if you have an ethic beard I’m half Mexican half Spanish so my hair is super dry and coarse. I use Duke cannon from target that’s also my favorite beard balm.
Finally not as many agree with me but a beard straightener. Not a hot comb but a dedicated beard comb with ionic heating. Helps keep the beard looking groomed and it’s a must for shaping you can’t shape unless you know how much you’re really working with. Straightening my beard adds an inch or so just for reference lol.

Get a beard guide on amazon it’ll make your life a lot easier bro. It helps keep it lined up and even cause without it I tend to go low like you now I just have it at the very top cleaned up the cheek stragglers. But it’s so much easier than eye balling.

Yeah, it could use a little trim here and there, and maybe get yourself a beard straightener like this one:

I have one like that myself and it does wonders
Don’t go flat iron the best one I’ve found and it doesn’t dry my beard out or have any impact on it since I use good wash balm and oil. Ionic beard brush is the way to go.
