lol, it really doesn't take too long, maybe a couple hours and you can probably get around 25 - 30 wpm ish. if you actually want to learn just look up where to put your fingers and which ones to use for each key, then just start typing. (typeracer is a good site to just keep on typing, but if you want to get fast, use keybr as well)

I agree, this is why I suggest using one on public WiFi. The end result is your traffic is encrypted (only during local transmission, it's still coming out unencrypted on the VPN servers side of course). This is enough safety to not worry about your traffic being analysed, as yet again, it is encrypted. There's no breaking that encryption on the local side.

Payment is only one of the weak points in a VPN. If you wanted, there are server providers that also accept crypto payment, and if you want to set up your own VPN using one of those that's cool too. It's just as vulnerable as using a paid VPN, so pick your poison. I said bitcoin because my example, Mullvad, don't accept any other cryptocurrency. Yes I know bitcoin is not totally anonymous, and is trackable to a degree. There are ways to get around this, like buying it in person instead of from coinbase etc. Still not ideal but it's better than linking your credit card lol.

How would browsing through a VM hide your tracks? All of the above issues you mentioned affect a VM as well. In the end it's still going through your internet connection.
If you want real anonymity, you'd use a VPN like Mullvad that doesn't have personal details stored and you pay with bitcoin, and you would never use your personal internet connection, rather you'd use a coffee shop or other public free WiFi.
