2.4 Consent to Monitor
When running, the Game may monitor your computer's random access memory for unauthorized third party programs running concurrently with the Game which, in SOE's sole determination: (a) enable or facilitate cheating of any type; (b) allow users to modify or hack the Game interface, environment, and/or experience in any way not expressly authorized by SOE; or (c) intercept, 'mine' or otherwise collect information from or through the Game (an 'Unauthorized Third Party Program'). In the event that the Game detects an Unauthorized Third Party Program: (i) the Game may communicate information back to SOE, including without limitation your Account username, details about the Unauthorized Third Party Program detected and the activities or functions performed thereby, and/or (ii) SOE may exercise any or all of its rights and remedies under this Agreement or the Terms of Service without prior notice to the user linked to such Unauthorized Third Party Program. You acknowledge that any and all character data and other data that is stored and is resident on our servers, and any and all communications that you make within the Game (including, but not limited to, messages solely directed at another player or group of players) traverse through our servers, may or may not be monitored by us or our agents, you have no expectation of privacy in any such communications and you expressly consent to such monitoring of communications you send and receive.
We will always do our livestreams in the Pacific Timezone because we are based in San Diego. This link should help you figure out where you are and what time we go live.
Overlay the stars from the website background on top of the picture Wreks85 posted (http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2s6k01z&s=8#.U1swm_ldV8F). There are 5 blinking stars on the website sky, so underneath those 5 spots you'll have 5 locations to look specifically in Wreks85 photo.
Perhaps those 5 locations contain the bits we need? (I'm new to Reddit and all this mystery solving stuff but hope it helps!)
And the worst thing is that people cry because the game is "hard" lol. this is nowhere close to a survival game. It is a shame that those survival games are being handled by people who have no idea about it.
https://www.twitch.tv/cuda87/v/51982599
Check that gameplay. That game is probably not going to be good but at least looting looks genuine from a survival game, also the environment looks better.

Yeah I follow Rust that way too.
If you are familiar with Planetside 2 and it's Roadmap feature, then I would assume a similar product will make it into H1Z1, eventually.
I will also add that Roadmap's are a mixed bag. There could be something players REALLY REALLY want that is on the roadmap forever and never make it into the game (cough, continent locking & hossin), then others that are voted into the negatives (cough, implants) and still make it in. But in concept they are nice.
You're making things up. "Sabotage variable names"? I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt. I'll assume you actually are interested in programming, so before you talk about it further and demonstrate how ill informed you are, I'll teach you something. Seriously, I know this is just a throw away for you to troll, but if you're seriously interested in development, this is something you should learn.
https://git-scm.com/ . All software companies use version control systems like git. If they don't, they're fucked. It is fundamental in any project! Here's why. Lets say you have a developer who sabotages your code? Well okay, just look at all his submissions to the version control system (they're called commits) and disregard them. Tada! All of his nasty sabotage is fixed!! Ignoring how illegal it is and that someone most likely wouldn't risk years in prison, had they done any sabotage, you can see now that it would be easily fixed right? Version control systems! Tada!! The benefits of version control software extend far beyond this hypothetical, but we are talking only about why it destroys your theory here. Learn it and live it. Even if you aren't interested in development, it would at least up your troll game knowing this information.
PS3-esque "revert." All the good, not much of the bad.
More open communication on what they're working on. (See Trello board https://trello.com/b/LLRPfIHs/z1-battleroyale-roadmap). And more listening to community feedback.
A lot of talk about the skin market, and limiting skins so they retain prices, which bored me to death.
A lot of Jace comparing the future of this game to CSGO.
Gas circles dependent on amount of people alive.
Pregame lobby used to wait up to 8 minutes to fill, now it's 3 minutes max.
Potentially adding a mode where ~10 people drop into a condensed map.
A PvE mode/game under the "Z1" name to try to fill the void of Just Survive (but it seems more mission based than a persistent thing).
Skill based matchmaking to make the game fun for new players.
Better, stricter anti-cheat
Reliable season length, with small offseasons (for showdowns and such). Match scores will count no matter how many people in a game.
A bunch of other stuff too, I can't remember because they've been pretty slow and careful with what they say.
I wouldn't buy a 50 card. The second number is the most important one for NVIDIA cards unless the generations are too far apart (like the 5000 series being compared to the 9000 series). If you don't want to go past (or too far past) $200, get a GTX 960 for a modern generation. You'll see almost twice the performance over the 750 Ti.

Game is doing better now than even during the invitational event last month that "supposedly" was a blip on the radar due to the event.
I assume that you're still high from yesterday because as much as you're trying to make sense and tying shit together, you're clearly still out of your mind.
"the events are designed to give Serenity an almost guaranteed win"
Now you're saying that one event was won by a member of Serenity? You mean Mikito? The person that is not a member of Serenity/The Neutral Town?
You mean the dude in this video: https://www.twitch.tv/h1z1stronghold/v/61023719 at the 30:37 minute marker? Yeah... No. See, I was the person streaming/recording it.
You're just so butt-hurt over being removed from the server that you're just spouting all of this fiction with no actual proof to back it up. Are we supposed to take your word? Yeah... no....
Your words are all you have. And considering all that's been done for the Stronghold by the mods/admins where you've done nothing but lie, your word means exactly jack squat.
Enjoy your miserable lie filled life. Remember, the more you believe your lies the more it becomes true... right? Right?!
Sony did sell SOE. https://www.polygon.com/2015/2/2/7963995/sony-online-entertainment-sold-off-by-sony-renamed-daybreak-game
The hacks on SOE didnt effect them at all, just like the data breaches of every other site from that time period. Tons of sites leak data every day, they never get in trouble, nor pay fines. That is pure fantasy, not sure what kid came up with that mate.
https://haveibeenpwned.com/PwnedWebsites
There was no new management. When they got bought by the Korean firm, they left the staff the same, who was lead by Arclegger, the same guy who was running it when it was called SOE.
The downfail of H1Z1, has nothing to do with the korean firm buying them. It was already going down till way before SOE got sold off for sucking the funds dry for the project on server costs from unoptimized server code.
FYI, you clearly wernt there fo this entire ordeal, considering you literally making up bullshit.
The fun thing it's not like they aren't able to convert the real price, that is a issue with most of the steam games.
https://steamdb.info/app/295110/
As you can see there most Countries are paying something like 10-15$ with Russia only paying something like 6$.
Hilarious.
But as usual, British and EU Users get f****d.
You're an idiot, I run borderless window mode so that I can browse reddit while I play and reply to stupid suggestions like this.
Removing window mode would not stop any cheats, because you can force a game into window mode even if the game doesn't have an option for it with the use of third party software which is 100% legit and allowed
If you don't want to fuck around with the .ini, you can use Borderless Gaming. A pretty neat program that will turn any game that needs it into borderless windowed mode. https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming
For those who dont have dice somewhere close:
I rolled 6 and 4, so i shoot random people in the back with a shotgun after i befriend them :( Okay..
I understand your efforts, and I thank you for them.
Unfortunately the hack creators are just going to develop new cheats to bypass. We've seen that happen with all the posts of "no doors breached, all stuff stolen". That shouldn't be possible with the "current door system". You're spending a tremendous amount of effort on a system that will eventually get breached again by the hack creators.
All these raiding restrictions do is make the hardcore community upset, without addressing the desires of the casual community. You will never be able to please BOTH groups in the same server.
Can we please get some pvp servers with indestructible bases, code locked indestructible storage, and a 1 min cooldown timer for 3 incorrect combos? DayZ Origins, Epoch, and Overpoch all had indestructible bases with code locked storage, and they were the MOST popular mods of DayZ Mod.
DayZ Vanilla (Hardcore) = 13 servers https://www.gametracker.com/search/dayzmod/US/?query=vanilla
DayZ Epoch and Overpoch not even counting Origins (Casual with Indestructible Bases) = 229 servers https://www.gametracker.com/search/dayzmod/US/?query=poch&searchipp=15#search

My .02
17,845 was peak concurrent (people playing at the same time, not total who played that day) in the last 24 hours.
However, over 360,000 different people have played H1Z1 in the last two weeks.
You may be 3,000 but 15+ kills in BR is not the lowest, there are people who play and never get a kill, there could be 20,000 people on that list below you... heh.
well tbh you've answered your own question, where are the remaining 940,000+ players because they certainly are not hardcore, neither are they PLAYING? (hardcore = plays a lot... dedicated)... and I bet most if not all the servers are low to med (excluding battle royale). Logic (math...) makes sense to me [1].
[1] https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/ think before you talk, bingo :)
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
This website is usually pretty spot on. Just because you don't meet all of the requirements doesn't mean you can't play it. but I'd say if you have two or more that don't meet the requirements then you probably can't.
It will also be on live servers. This is to encourage people to keep playing on their own server instead of migrating to EU to get faster matches with full lobbies. Matches start within 2 1/2 minutes (approx) no matter how many players. The game will choose a random location (with adjustments for guaranteed loot) and set the starting circle size based on how many players there are.

This is also to make the skill-based matchmaking system more viable. It divides players into "very new" and "experienced". Not sure what the threshold is for both groups but this has already been live for a while to make it less frustrating for extremely new players.

EDIT: Also EVERY match counts now. This is going on LIVE server in 4 days! We also have a lot of stuff coming back from PS3 on test that is going live as well.

For all the details of changes coming September 18th, check out this roadmap.
PS3-style weapons (bullet drop, bullet speed, recoil, sounds). Seat swap. Jump shooting. Instant ADS. 2pm Time of day. Older responsive animations. Reduced anti-ENAS. Anti-Cheat improvements. Regional Leaderboards.

No clue why this is not included in the post but I made on for myself... so might as well share.

Firstly, read the first line of the post, secondly there have only been TWO patches to Test in the last 24 hours, and the last one before that was 6 days ago...
Those pesky statistical facts son.
https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/
Game has been averaging 10-15k concurrent players for months now and actually hitting into the 15-20k as of late doing better than previous months. The same average of nearly 350k bi-weekly count is still holding too.
Granted that we lost 75% of the players from the initial couple months to the hacker fiasco and other various reasons. However, it's definitely not "dying" as you state. It's actually growing lately.
I'd side it's quite the opposite son. Who the hell really cries about med kits being behind doors, seriously? Furthermore, make it out as a reason for someone leaving the game? lol
Also, for the record... stats are actually sitting (arguably better) at the same average that it has been at for months 10-15k concurrent player base.
Anyway what happened to the new rewards plan? arclegger posted this in my thread a month ago https://gyazo.com/79b0ebcab02b8201fe983495eb22e12d
it may not be your priority point at the moment but is it still in the work? thanks in advance if you reply
Not yet, it's 5AM their local time, its probably going to be pushed sometime before midday though.
You can keep an eye on https://steamdb.info/app/295110/history/ though:
Changes to branches/livenext/buildid
mean their preparing a patch.
Changes to branches/public/buildid
mean the patch has been published.
Do you realize that the concurrent player count of 10-15k players isn't the same as the total player count right?
> Steam Stats:
> 313,515 players in last 2 week
> 9,568 Players online right now
https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/
There are over a million accounts and just because 7k of them were banned doesn't mean the concurrent player count dropped by 7k... amazing how some people keep saying stupid shit like this.
Getting a single snapshot from the day isn't conclusive data to determine statistics. That is like saying the player count of 7.5k players when my first post went up earlier represents the total for the day despite it currently sitting at nearly 9.5k now.
The count yesterday according to the Steam stats was 10.6k players.
Resource: https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/
You are right about the game declining... there is no denying that for anyone as I mentioned earlier. The use of dying is a bit strong if you ask me though. The numbers have seemed to halt around 10-15k concurrent players on average as of late.
Also, it gets quite annoying when people (not saying you or anyone specific in this thread) try to argue that the concurrent count represents the total count of players too. That is most certainly not true. The average concurrent count for the past two weeks is probably around 13k but the total number of players is currently 304k for those two weeks.
No update on the test server today yet (they have wiped, no update).
Remember, it's only 11:40AM for them, they got the whole day ahead...
In fact it looks like they are prepping for a publish soon.
https://steamdb.info/app/362300/history/
It's really hard to say. Is your computer a laptop? The graphics card is the iffy part. I do recommend to get more ram, currently 4GBs is enough to run the game but if you get a memory leak you will crash and don't expect to be able to have skype, chrome and all that stuff up while playing either. But the graphics card is the hard part. You can check system requirement labs at http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/h1z1/12449/?p=r
click Can You Run It. This will check your specs for you with the requirements.
Here is a site that might help. That being said, Nvidia's GT cards are not designed for "gaming". They will run most games on very low settings, and it should work once this game is optimized. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
On the Steam Database...
Look for any changes to "branches/public/buildid", that denotes a published patch.
Because those users upgraded to premium after buying the standard edition first, or there are other complicated issues regarding Steam family sharing going on which are clouding the real cause...
Analysis of the Standard Edition vs Premium Edition on SteamDB proves this.
Inflatable decoys. While they're at it they should also add squirt guns, soda cans, tomatoes, popsicles, silverware, plates, bazookas, weedwackers, ancient artifacts, footballs, fire extinguishers, and alien bubble guns. Oh yeah.
So let me get this straight, you want to take the zombies out of a zombie apocalypse survival game.... oooooK.

Designers, Developers, IT pros in California... Yep. This site is showing the AVERAGE being $115k for Sr. Video Game Designer. http://www.indeed.com/salary?q1=Senior+Video+Game+Designer&l1=California

It's best to not take it as a promise he as is one developer, but he did seem to feel strong about it.
I've just gone though this as well, like the past day. What I ended up using was OBS ( https://obsproject.com/). It took a little to setup (watch Youtube video) but they all skipped one part. When setting up the scene and scene type choose 'Game'.
I can post my settings if needed if you go with OBS.
http://www.razerzone.com/cortex/game-booster
DL this and launch h1z1 through it. It's a game optimizer and it'll give the the FPS you need to quick load. Also go into you useroptions.ini file and change your max fps to 900 as others suggested.
Ok so i've got an answer from Brad "Mutato" Wilcox through the ticket system after contacting him on twitter. According to him my ban was caused because of a program on my pc called : TMAC v6.0 https://technitium.com/tmac/ It is a program which allows you to change your MAC address, now i'm not a techy, but for all I know changing your MAC address is not cheating whatsoever. (If one of you knows more about this please enlighten me) Anyway OP, do you have that particular program or something similar installed ?
I got the actual gametracker server stats, where they keep track of how many servers people have up and running. So yeah, facts.
220 DayZ Mod Epoch and Overpoch Servers (Casual) https://www.gametracker.com/search/dayzmod/US/?query=poch
14 DayZ Mod Vanilla Servers (Hardcore) https://www.gametracker.com/search/dayzmod/US/?query=vanilla
So it's actually a ratio of 15 Casuals to 1 Hardcore. Even worse than 13 to 1.
So where did you get your facts? Oh, that's right, it's just your opinion!
you hit the nail on the head so HARD on this post. Me and friend were in our base when a hacker came thru walls. He was working in a group of 5 including himself. (we had a super tricky base out in the middle of no where.) They were using in game mic talking so we could hear them talking. (we were on skype) we hear a dude say hold on ill check this base...all the sudden he comes thru wall we kill him a couple time, he teles right back to our base....then we die to invisible arrow shots to the head. That day we lost about 10 guns and thousands of rounds of ammo....about 2 weeks worth of grinding. Here is the report we emailed sony..along with screen shots.--
Annihilation server. I Was in my base and a group of guys stumble across my base. A guy named " realgamerstink " flew through my base walls. I killed him twice with a shotgun and each time he re appeared at my base within 1 minute and tried to attack me again. he finally invisible arrow me in the head and I instantly died. Here is a screen shot of the guys name in my closed base along with a screen shot of his friends names. I have fallen in love with this game and I am looking forward to Sony Online Entertainment wiping these hackers off of the servers. SCREEN SHOT https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ui=2&ik=7d15176c0f&view=fimg&th=14b4214b4123cc69&attid=0.3&disp=inline&safe=1&attbid=ANGjdJ-wEe4NpyHg1Hqc-zvJPTWHXYOJFlH9cZWqIjcxqV6E9aM8kJs6KPH6E5jhC_HWZe64B6ENkiAtJOsekvHl9Qxdbn1217W3...
something very similar just happened to me and friend today. we had a very nice base that could not be jumped. Any ways my RL friend is sitting in the base and he hears some in-game mic from a few players (four altogether) "OH hey there's a base here its walled up good" then he hears a player say hang on ill check it out. So at this point hes ready for the dude to try and hop the door or log-in glitch the door right? Wrong he comes right thru the wall like 4 times in a row after my buddy kills him. Then he dies to inviable arrow shot to head while sitting in our base...hackers are real.....we screen shot and reported to sony. he even admitted to hacking over mic. We lost like 10 guns all together and hundreds of rounds of ammo....hours of grinding down the drain. https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ui=2&ik=7d15176c0f&view=fimg&th=14b4214b4123cc69&attid=0.3&disp=inline&safe=1&attbid=ANGjdJ-wxvzllBpnrailHcAT8ldmg0bIj7EF8v0qICldJfzePfpSPB8N1LTIsFcPpFAvaeSg3TDfNfnUqAYWQFEV1NPr6tJIfz9V...
Interesting start. Is this your first time writing something like this?
One suggestion I'd make is to read your stuff out loud to help with editing. Yes, it looks a little strange, but it's the best way to make your writing flow. When you pause during the reading, it's probably a good place to put a comma. When you stop, maybe a period. If you feel you're talking too long, you most likely have a run on sentence.
Stylistically, when you have someone new speak (by using a quotation mark), make it a new paragraph. You then put a comma at the end of the quote.
"This is a general rule of writing," said Finnegar.
I'd also suggest reading a style book or the like. A very popular one is The Elements of Style by Strunk and White. You can probably get it from the library or a used book store. You can see a version of it online here: http://faculty.washington.edu/heagerty/Courses/b572/public/StrunkWhite.pdf
24k is the peak concurrent, concurrent means how many people are playing at the same time, not how many people played that day.
Steamspy has a lot of stats which includes how many individual accounts have played the game in the last two weeks (Steam shows how many hours you've played in the last two weeks), you can see that number here: https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/
Sorry I was mistaken, it was 360,000 in the last two weeks, and what you're looking at is the per day stats. As it says in your statistics, the 40k was the all time peak, and the 18k was the 24 hour peak. Hell, it even says that 13k were playing only an hour ago.
So please check your facts before berating people over the internet.
No, I meant War Z. It oddly sold 3 million copies. I expect Sergey Titov bought them all. lol
As for the rest... the most people playing H1Z1 at one time was ~40k. That was 9 months ago.
In the last 30 days the average was ~14k with a peak around 26k
Check these

Welcome to what they do with most of their games, especially since the buyout.
Planetside 2, little to no content added (Hossin took well over a year to get implemented even after the map was done). EQN/L, these died when Georgeson was let go, no information on EQN and Landmark has had very little added with no "roadmap" anymore as well (for games that were supposed to be built with players). H1Z1 was meant to be a "realistic" survival game, I can currently just run by zombies laughing at them...the Halloween event is the first thing that has made me actually stop and kill them or mess with them at all.
The company is in the shitter, the only thing to hope for is a company to buy out this company that will actually do something with it (ie Studio Wildcard, Trion, etc). Examples of poor leadership is things such as a server turned into a keg in the new office that they moved to or the random "bring your dog to work day." Seems like the corporation is more about having fun then actually getting work done, poor leadership.
And for anyone looking for numbers incase you didnt know https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/ is a good representation of how it goes. You can see the drastic amount of difference between "owners" and actual "players" I attribute that to the banned/rebought hacking accounts, which imo is where most of their sales probably come from.
You're interpreting stats wrong... 12k is concurrent players (number of people playing at the same time).
There are actually over 420,000 active unique players of H1Z1 with almost 1.7m sold

I found a base and several cars at this location and have been to others. This is a quarantined area as well and blew up multiple cars i found out here.
No they abandoned the in-game shortcut key for showing the FPS.
Now you can activate it in steam preferences Link
Well, if you want to be at a disadvantage I won't stop you, but yeah, you should be able to set it up in the key bindings page.
Mmm, if not, try this Planetside 2 discussion. It might be more what you're looking for.
Yes, he is the boss, that doesnt mean he owns the company. For once it is a branch of Sony, second he has to show numbers to not only Sony, but to the entire board.
If you work let's say for Microsoft, you are the CEO....but the main chairmans dont want you there... that doesnt mean you are going to stay as CEO for as long as you want. Read: http://mashable.com/2014/10/08/steve-ballmer-bill-gates-dont-talk/
Wow... that was pretty hardcore dude.
So I'll start from the beginning. What I don't understand is people who talk about the game like it's shit. It's like going to concerts of a band you dislike badly. It doesn't make sense, why waste the time. It seems illogical to visit a place and just post inflammatory and negative comments, and have nothing constructive to say.
Why does everyone have to say "fan boys" and "ass kissers" who the heck cares? I am a fan of Daybreak and their games, I have some (what I consider) friendships with the devs, so I support their passions and enjoy the fact they are so dedicated to making the game they imagined as best they can.
How am I disgusting....? I didn't call him stupid. I said I don't understand why he wastes his time. You are putting words in my mouth for the sake of shaming me.
Also, here to show you that the game has risen. https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/ If you look at the graph from July onwards, it's a trend up upward growth since they announced the Invitational and had strong promotion from 40+ big streamers.
My mod status isn't because I kiss Daybreak's ass, it's because the main mods (who are in no way employed by DGC) saw that I was an active member of the subreddit who adhered to the rules and was constructive. Daybreak has no control over this subreddit.
Using the word disgusting for me saying I don't understand why someone who hates the game bothers to waste their time in the community? That's a bit... umm... overboard?
https://steamdb.info/app/550/graphs/
Did you mean a lower "consistent" value than a non-full title release game sitting in alpha?
https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/
Only reason L4D2 shot past 5k here recently was because of the summer steam sale. Before the sale it was barely hanging on a thread at 5k concurrent players. Going from 160 thousand to single digits is the very prime definition of FOTM like stated. Thanks, son.
Honestly, they do play the live builds, I have a bunch of the devs on Steam and see them in game most of the time.
During their work hours I often see them in and out of the game, when they do new internal builds I usually see them all on them (you can see when they do a new QA build here) and after patches get published I see them on the public servers too.
They also all have pretty beefy machines too, so they may not notice performance issues, which is why they have the Test Server for feedback.
Did you see this article about DayZ's new engine?. Pretty cool info that I hope will only be fuel to the developer fire. What an age to be a consumer!
After watching the video below from 07:49 to 08:25 and jimmy's health going down really quickly when faced with a group of 10 zombies or so I don't think it will be a problem.

After watching it imagine yourself with no gun or just some nice stuff like maybe a bow and arrow you have crafted for example.....you don't want to lose it so I'm guessing it would make that situation a lot more tense than it looks.
EDIT: Also they could easily adjust that when players finally get to test it out, being that one of the purpose's of EA is to suggest what works and what doesn't.
You are correct about the Size of the team, but you are wrong about his announced leave.
The SA was released in Dec of 2013 and his announcement to leave was in February of 2014.
https://gyazo.com/b5b130f62e57aa501c4eca8896baa9f5 anybody else geting this? then when they try to reset, it wont let them? something saying there is something wrong with your username or password? i dont get it. need help created another account just to send in a ticket still havent heard back...
Thanks for your troll post.
Here is a screenshot of my wifi stick program as of this moment. It actually took me 10-15 minutes to upload it.
Why the fuck would i lie? I run a 7d2d server and have banned over 1500 hackers this past year. I've been hacked about 25 times this week by h1z1 hackers. I don't like hackers and i think it would be dumb to be banned over a video of someone recording me lagging.
Edit: More Info: Company; Wind Mobile (Location Canada) Alcatel stick speeds up to 21 mb. I've never seen it go higher then 20kb/s During high traffic hours (1-10pm week ends and 2:30-9pm week time. My internet speeds are close to non existant.)
No, it's all set as default for every player. Meaning, you could see everyone the same distance on low as you could on ultra. In fact, the window where you can see people is so small that it's about 25% of your view distance.
I saw a post about it awhile back explaining just how far one could see another player I just can't seem to find it at the moment.
edit: Found it,
> Cars disappears at approx. 100-150 m. Players disappears at approx. 250-300 m. Zombies disappears at approx. 200-350 m.
Below is an image if a players distance they're able to see, inside that distance they had a player running around to see how far they could move before they went 'invisible" to the player on the roof. If you ask me, it's honestly game breaking how small it is. Weapons like Rifles scopes and Binoculars are almost rendered useless.
Notice the hillside behind Romero's, if you where sitting up there you would not be able to see the player on the roof top.

Render distance in this game is pointless, all it does it make it so you can see more of the landscape nothing else. Though, I find for best performance you want to be sitting around 1500 and you can still see within the player distance limit.
I used to use raptr for the same reason but it turns out theres a special branch of OBS that works just the same as raptr. Biggest bonus is that OBS has push to talk for your mic whereas raptr doesn't.
Check it out. https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-branch-with-amd-vce-support.13996/
Try disabling your UAC, then click the cog on the launcher and validate assets (if it doesn't try to download it everytime).
Thank you all for posting good constructive feedback - it really helps the study I am working on.
For those that didn't, I would suggest a course in Hooked on Phonics, ethics, and how not to be a douche 101.
After reading all comments, this is what I came up with, and in conclusion if DBG were to add some form of end game or progression and deal with the hackers, then a lot more players would be happily playing Survival.
Thanks again!
EDIT: okay, NOW I've gotten it right
>H1Z1: https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/
Those numbers dont show what you just claimed....At all....The shilling has reached critical mass. You have to stop.
Also...
>"OMG ARK is dying, they have lost 15k players in the last week" ah, memories of H1Z1's first month spring to mind heh...
Yea it would have to lose 50% of its concurrent playerbase to even fall as low as the highest point h1z1 ever reached. That just makes you look even more ignorant. You're making yourself look bad. Stop. please.
Look at the concurrent player base on the graph: https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/
What sense does it make to keep the same amount of servers running that were running January - February? Definitely keep the servers... just simply turn some of them off saving resources and consolidating the population. Clearly don't go hatchet crazy whacking away at too many servers. Slowly start turning some of them off and keep it at a manageable level.
Statistical trends with data tells a DBA a lot...
12k is today.. tomorrow it may be just 9k or maybe 16k!Nobody knows... its a up and down atm !! https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/ but if you look on the "player in last year" graph you see the hype comes down! In fact of that we get more and more content and stuff in time.. its pretty sad that people are leaving, left or just take a break more and more! If you has asked me before they released i would had saysn the players will get more and more with more and more contents.. but seems diffrent..
dude stop playing on a FUCKING VERY HIGH server, how can people be that supid, only saw like 4 hackers and i have 170h btw the game is dying ok... https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/ and how DAFUQ do you even know if it was a hacker. just beyond stupid
I have an i5-3330 CPU and run a GeForce GT640 and I get excellent performance with my settings on high.
Try running Malwarebytes and CCleaner.
im sure. just like the other 500 ppl there as well. but youd be that one guy.. im sure... anyways. I figured you might want to invest in this purchase https://www.walmart.com/ip/Keys-Diary-With-Key/16435859
A Core i5 will run this game, however the exact model (generation) of processor is important as a later generation core i5 @3.4ghz is significantly faster than an earlier generation core i5 at the same clock speed. That's more of an issue of price/value than if it can run H1Z1 though as even an early core i5 at that speed will run H1Z1.
The hard drive space doesnt matter, as long as its enough for H1Z1. A faster hard drive (SSD) will only reduce load times for H1Z1 and will not make a difference in gameplay.
You need a video card obviously, if it doesnt have one something like a GTX 960 (less than $250) would run it and other titles well without breaking the bank. I had a HD5850 when I started H1Z1 and it was playable but not great. If it doesnt have a video card at all right now (using onboard/intergrated) you would probably need to get a new power supply to run an upgraded video card, which you can take out of your current system at least to run your current card. Most PCs that do not come with video cards generally have horrible power supplies, lacking the connections and the amperage to run a gaming card.
Could easily throw in another 4-8GB RAM for cheap ($60 would get you 8GB easily). Check how many ram slots the motherboard has, as it might only have 2 slots and they both might be filled (2x2GB).
Prices estimated in Canadian Dollars using NCIX.
EDIT: If your current PC is using DDR3 RAM it will probably be compatible with the new one.
EDIT2: Estimated system requirements, http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri?gameName=h1z1&itemId=12449&p=r
Don't listen to him. While all that will help, it's overkill for what I think you're trying to get. And I'm getting the impression you're on a budget.
Here is the minimum system requirements for the game. Problem is, your computer is nowhere near that. Minimum you need is an i3 cpu, 4gb RAM, and a gtx275. That right there might get you to 30FPS. It all depends on if you're running any other applications on your computer while you're playing, server load, etc.
If you're going to upgrade, you might as well skip the i3 and get an i5 at least. You'll most likely need a new motherboard. Go to www.pcpartpicker.com, grab what you need. You should try to get above minimum specs to run it better.
That happens to me too, do you have a firewall on? If so try tabbing out of the game and see if it's your firewall that's blocking it. If that doesn't work double check to make sure your computer can run it at http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
Click on "can you run it" and let the app work, it will tell you
It has a bug though, for Graphics even though you have a check on all the requirements it says you cant run it. Disregard this, if you have the 3 checks (Pixel Shader version/Vertex Shader version/Dedicated Video RAM) it should run fine.
You know at the risk of sounding like a D!*K, you can search google, and get results to a website, that can tell you if you're able to play certain games.
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri?gameName=h1z1&itemId=12449&p=r
Look up the game on the system requirements lab website and use their little app.
Albeit, I can tell you now that the required (minimal) specs are :
Intel i3 Dual-Core with Hyper-Threading (required) RAM: 4 GB OS: Windows 7 64-bit Video Card: nVidia GeForce GTX 275 series or higher Free Disk Space: 20 GB
The built in Intel HD graphics is garbage and usually doesn't do gaming very well. Your CPU is also iffy.
henbe says to try Planetside 2, which is good advice, but if you want to get a quick snapshot of how your system might do: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
No worries, I didn't view your comments as anything but inquisitive. It's a fair point that actually has no real answer. It's been debated for years and there are certainly respectable opinions on both sides of the fence.
Using the term generally, you wouldn't use definite (the) or indefinite articles (a/an) with it:
iPods are way too expensive.
Another example sentence with medial capitalization:
eBay sellers prefer PayPal.
It's an arguable point, for sure. There is nothing I know of that says which rule takes priority, capitalization or trademark style, so I suppose it's just up to preference. I've seen "eBay" written as "Ebay" or "EBay" at the beginning of a sentence, which looks ok to me, but "Iphone" and "IPhone" look wrong to me.
If you look at Apple's iPhone website, they don't capitalize it at the beginning of a sentence, nor do they capitalize "iOS". (https://www.apple.com/iphone-6/ios-8/)
"iPhone 6 is ready to do big things, and everyday things, right out of the box." "iOS 8 is the biggest iOS release ever."
We could debate this all day and night and probably never come to a conclusion. :P
just wondering what you're current settings are because mine personally very quite often because my pc is weird. one day my fps will be perfectly fine like 60-80 or somewhere around there and other days it'll be like 40-60. so i am constantly tweaking my settings also i'm weird myself and i change me resolution a lot. currently i have 100% digital vibrance and this is my user options: https://hastebin.com/tavodivebu.ini
Here are some screenshots (on very low settings btw) forgot to mention I also use the red and black fingerless gloves. It looks much better with rasta backpack and kevlar ofcourse (if I find it, I use it)
without helm/laminated/backpack: https://gyazo.com/8bb7dca5822ef8d3e16eb1882378475d

here's a link, AMD VCE support is an unofficial feature afaik: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-branch-with-amd-vce-support.13996/
you might need to reinstall your drivers with all features enabled (apart from raptr), if you didn't do it that way before. I think the part it's about is "enhanced video transcoding" or something along those lines. I'm not sure though. but your card definately has VCE support.
For My Nvidia Geforce 750TI I use the ShadowPlay App that comes with the Video Card from Nvidia. Because I play in Windowed Mode I use the Desktop Capture Mode to capture 3 minutes of footage at 720p 30 frames per second (400 Mb of Aprox. File Space per 3 minute recording). Just hit the record Key and the last 3 minutes of game play including sounds is recorded to a file that I then edit and further compress :)
I was using OBS which is a Free Program as well but it doesn't let you do what ShadowPlay does and you have to hit record before the event takes place.
Hope That Helps :)
I did on my post, which I deleted after I noticed this guy posted before I did. It's here btw.
And to add https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/ shows that with each patch it surges by approximately 50-70%. We have people who are consistent players, but again, aren't burning themselves out.
To me the real player average is about 18K give or take based on the average jump. Most of those being patch players (waiting til patch to play the new content, then playing something else until next patch comes out)
Update: I just checked on SteamDB and can confirm they have not added the Test Server to the Premium Edition package.
Standard Edition has 'H1Z1 Test Server'
Premium Edition no 'H1Z1 Test Server'
https://steamdb.info/app/295110/graphs/ I am curious where you got your 5 million number as that is not something that we have any idea of other than maybe the link above giving us a small glimpse. That is just the problem with transparency isn't it though? You can't expect them to be so vocal and tell us about all these updates before they are you without expecting dates to fall through. Again there is a core update for the end of this week...let's see what happens?
Like i haev said, i am not a streamer so i can't really proof to you that i don't cheat, but like i told the people at SOE, the steam account i use to play the game, i have almost 250 games on that steam account, i would never risk my account, being in a bad standing with any game, because i am agianst all cheating and hacking in any way, Here is a link to my steam account. https://steamdb.info/calculator/76561197980686411/?cc=de As you can see no Vac bans, and i am not in any way in bad standing with anything, this is the first time i have been banned for anything. I really don't know what proof i else can give you.

I think that the files we're downloading are just modified, meaning we already had them but like a line of code was changed or added in so instead of downloading that one line of code into our game, the whole file must be sent again due to it probably being compiled and encrypted."
But I'm wondering though, looking at https://steamdb.info/app/295110/history/
What were the other updates they made throughout today. They could setup a few private servers to test their code before pushing. It would seem more logical to push to 1 server and test than to send to 200+ and test, having to update to all 200 again if there is a bug
