Cmon man, at least search amazon. It was the second result.
This is a feature of Nougat in an attempt to have consistency across icons. Your only real option is a custom launcher. Some, like Action Launcher, allow you to just disable round icons. Others, you may need to use an icon pack.
E5 Plus will have almost ½ the PPI (pixel per inch) as the G6 and the difference between the SDM425 and SDM450 in speed are the same.
Here ya go and hope this helps. I added another device Motorola One Power. https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9095&&idPhone2=9000&idPhone3=9221#usa,usa,*
I don't believe any new Motorola phones have a notification light.
Your next best option might be to look at MotoDisplay alternatives like Notific. I recall it having an option where it would pulse your screen when you had notifications and battery performance didn't suffer too much.
I see that the highest battery usage was in the early morning. My guess is that your phone was not able to doze, meaning that the battery saving in 6.0+ is not happening.
Sadly, the battery details in settings isn't good enough. I suggest getting a third party app that gives you more details on which app was draining the battery the most and when was doze activated if at all.
Might i suggest AccuBattery? Helps me when i don't know why my phone can't doze in the night.

Thank you. I found a compatible case thanks to you. Primarily because I was able to search for it under its alternate name, "Edge 30 Pro" which was much more search-friendly than the trash fire Verizon was calling it.

Thanks for posting, u/MrRainbowManMan. You can check the HDR standard of your phone using an app. While we don't warranty or guarantee third-party apps, other owners have reported success using HDR Display Check or Netflix for this purpose. - Mike
Hi u/NotKarma98, we appreciate you have one of our phones and we would like to help. While we don't warranty or guarantee third-party apps, other owners have reported success using ApowerMirror. Please check the instructions for use in the Google Play Store. - Mike
My suggestion for easy to use good quality local image gallery app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplemobiletools.gallery
Free to try, cheap for pro version (pennies). Ditch that Google rubbish ;-)
You can also install an app called Tiles, and in the app enable the tile called "Monochromacy."
Now edit your quick settings tiles and there will be one named "Monochromacy" as an available tile. Drag that where you want it, and now you have a quick settings tile to toggle from color to grayscale without having to go through settings.
^(Tiles is also useful for a whole lot of other extra quick settings tiles, so you might find other things in it you'd use. Some tiles are for root only, and some need an extra permission that you have to grant using a computer and ADB, but the majority can be used with just normal permissions.)
Sound like you deleted the private storage for all apps, meaning you're likely only going to fix with a factory reset.
There is a reason the obb directory is normally hidden, and the reason those cleaning apps generally do more harm than good. If you want a safe cleaning app (and very good, basic file manager), download Files Go from Google. It will help you find things to help free up space, including app cache that can be deleted safely, large files, downloads, etc, and won't show you stuff you shouldn't touch.
this gallery app looks good:

Thanks for the confirmation! I ended up getting a Baseus dock on sale that is compact and feels well made. It has USB-C and USB-A, so I plugged in a splitter so I could use keyboard + mouse while the phone is plugged in and driving my display via the HDMI out. Works like a charm. My dreams of a portable computer that's not a laptop is finally reality. :) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BFQCDFDD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have found this app useful. Not exactly a double tap, but you can place a shortcut on the home screen and use a single tap to lock.
there is a gallery app by Google also and it's actually better than Google photos, and it also has good editing features and auto edit, I've used that link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.photosgo
I had this same problem on my old z4 and someone on here recommended this app to me which served as a workaround. So here I am recommending it to you:

Hello u/davidbb1977, We appreciate you having one of our phones. Have you tried to check Amazon UK Website? I found one for a hard case under this link. You may contact Amazon Customer Support directly regarding this. -Elle
Hi!
Don't let yourself suffer for too long. The days of getting a premium device are over. In the old days, you needed to spend big bucks just to get a decent device.
Nowadays, $250-400 gets you a near flagship experience, so you can actually upgrade ever 18 months - 2 years, for the same budget.
Fast processors like the SD8GEN1 or similar have lately shown to be terrific, but overheat when under load, plus coupled with 5G battery consumption, is nasty.
I personally would go for the edge20 lite. Yes, lite. It may only come with a Mediatek D700U, but in terms of IRL usage, coupled with it's Ready For PC ability, and (despite what some say) excellent 108MP camera as well as 5000mAH battery. A crazy good, €230 device. https://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Unlocked-T-Mobile-International-XT2139-1/dp/B09HN52ST3/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=3PGICLZWCV36I&keywords=edge%2B20%2Blite&qid=1662038404&sprefix=edge%2B20%2Blite%2Caps%2C788&sr=8-2&th=1&psc=1
Alternatively, the https://www.amazon.fr/Motorola-Edge30-Smartphone-d%C3%A9bloqu%C3%A9-double/dp/B09YYTFYXN?ref_=ast_sto_dp is €399 and you get a SD787+, but it's only 128GB non expandable.
I suggest running a constant background app like the pedometer app. it will always show a notification and it uses almost no battery because it uses the Qualcomm built-in step counter and polls it infrequently.
app is open source, extremely simple, does not require any permissions, and finally has not needed to be updated since 2019 which shows just how simple and functional it is. :-) works fine on my Android 12 updated stylus 5G 2021 and the only time I see the big clock is upon a first boot when it is not running.

I bought a Motorola One 5G Ace April 2021with Android 10. Waited a year plus for Android 11. T-Mobile / Motorola indicate Android 12 will be available. Android 10 did not have Wireless Auto. 11 does have Wireless Auto. Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids does not function although the blue tooth hearing aids show connected Signia Aids.
Phone is fast, Heavy with big battery. You can ad MicroSd card.
I also bought a Case see $13 amazon see link Phone Case
I bought the phone because the BootLoader can be unlocked with code from Motorola,
It's indeed pretty difficult teaching loved ones to use smartphones from scratch, but i find, short of online tutorials or in person coaching, your best bet to be:

I have the Amazon unlocked "motorola one 5G ace" (from "About phone"). I use Consumer Cellular and the phone has WiFi calling enabled.
My understanding is that that this phone will not be updated from Android 10. It does get security updates.
I use a Gel case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08YD26FVR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1and I currently do not use a screen protector.

I've had probably 7 or 8 moto phones in the past and I can't recall one of them not having the double swipe feature. Honestly I don't use it much because I don't find it super convenient. To adjust brightness quickly and to my liking I use this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arogulin.brightness
You can manually save your own presets by touching and holding on the little squares, so I have one set for low light, indoor, outdoors, and even the Auto works to quickly toggle on and off auto brightness.
The cards used to come with an adapter but I noticed that a lot of them don't anymore.
You can buy card readers that have slots for the micro sd cards without needing an adapter.

You can change the 'launcher' on Android - this is the app which controls the homescreen. The one Motorola ships is decent, but not great.
Personally, I use Nova Launcher and have my phone set to 5 columns on the home screen and 6 in the app drawer. You can also change the number of rows as well.
If you have any further questions - let me know. Installing a launcher like Nova is non-destructive (i.e. you can go back to your previous setup if you want).
Thanks for checking. Do you have Files by Google or other 3rd party file manager app downloaded in your device? If yes, please use it to see if computes the used storage space compared to the ones in your phone Settings. Let me know. -Mary
I don't know if factory reset would help, but I guess it's worth trying. You can also use USB OTG to plug in a physical keyboard to log in to Play Store or you could try downloading this.
Motorola runs "plain" Android, so a lot of the duplicate apps you usually find on a Samsung, like Samsung Browser, Samsung Gallery, etc aren't baked in.
What you can do is go on PlayStore and find what apps you want, I'd recommend Simple Gallery or even Camera Roll https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=us.koller.cameraroll
These separate photos by the folders they're in, and some tinkering will help you organize, share content.
Also worth looking at is CX File Explorer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cxinventor.file.explorer
This is an user friendly local file organizer that also links up to network storage.
Ive had UAG cases in the past. they were pretty good.

so I went caseless, dropped phone phone shattered. I got sad, ordered replacement, and a case for it
this case is a freaking beast. I still had my old broken phone when I got my new one, so as any smart shopper would, I activated my new phone, put my new case on my old one... and dropped it. about 20 times. one drop uncased shattered the corner, 20 drops from various hights and spins and whatever, couldn't hurt the sides if I tried.
the back is clear enough to show your motomaker flair, and it adds almost no lip to the edges. r this is my recommendation. my only complaint is this, the top lip comes down just pass the seam of glass and body. this is a good thing, as it makes it lipless as possible, this is a bad thing, because pocket lint gets into it, than the case actually pushes it into the crease. easily removed, and its going to get dirty anyway, but just a warning.
The widget is distributed through play store - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motorola.timeweatherwidget
It's a Motorola-specific widget however, and I don't believe you'll be able to install it on a different brand phone of phone. I'd definitely still try though.
Since it appears to be using AccuWeather in the background, you could install the official AccuWeather app as it likely has its own widgets.
Reading this makes it sound like it's not a common feature -- but that was 5 years ago

As it doesn't work with any device, that sounds like the most reasonable solution. I'm using this one. I'm not explicitly recommending it (ugreen has been known to deviate from USB-C specifications at times), it does work for me and is actually USB3. There are definitely cheaper options though.
Ready For is updated through the Play Store. Using a page such as this one (though I'm not recommending this particular page - DM me if you don't want to use it).
There are a few news reports which would seem to suggest otherwise, at least with respect to Android 8.1. In fact, they seem to suggest that the Moto X4 was updated to 8.1 about 2 weeks before the Nokia 5.
Android One Moto X4 gets updated to Android 8.1
(GSMArena, 03/15/2018)
Nokia 5 and original Nokia 6 start receiving Android 8.1 Oreo update
(GSMArena, 03/28/2018)
However, I also see what you mean, in that Project Fi Moto X4 users (and possibly others) do not appear to have received it yet, so I don't know.
I will say that, if the phone is nice and the price is right, I personally would not mind having to wait a few extra weeks for some of these updates. Even then, the updates will probably arrive faster and more consistently than the vast majority of Android phones. And it would appear that, other than this instance, they have been reasonably timely with the updates so far. Nokia is definitely consistently a few days ahead of Motorola in pushing the security patches, but again, I personally don't think it's that big of a deal.
If you are looking for the Pixel Dialer, this non patched apk from Google will work on it: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-phone/google-phone-7-0-140861421-nonnexus-release/google-phone-7-0-140861421-nonnexus-android-apk-download/
I'm not familiar with diskpart. I know it's not really intuitive. I use Partition Wizzard as partition manager, because Disk Management is limited. I would suggest you to use graphical tools, if you're not familiar with diskpart.
I've discovered this tool from the SD association, which suggest to use it to format cards. You could give it a try.
Looks like you've got Central American firmware, so it's this file:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/59v0rnco6hyn/XT1064_TITAN_RETCA_6.0_MPB24.65-34-3_cid14_CFC.xml.zip
Download the file, unpack it somewhere on your PC, and open flashfile.xml file (with notepad or some other text editor) and copy its content here, so I can give you the list of flashing commands.
And remove the screenshot you just posted (with getvar info) - it's not safe to publish your IMEI and serial number on the web.
So i went to your link and found my Moto G 2 (XT1064), showed content, clicked the link and it brang me to this page
As you can see there are a ton. All i know is my model number which isXT1064 but which one of those are the ones i should download? Thanks again!
if your bootloader is unlocked already booting into TWRP will allow you to grab files by default, I would recommend enabling adb on your new phone and setting it to always trust a pc for scrcpy
You can always use the system ui tuner to show the wired headphone icon. If the sound is still coming from the speaker, there could be another kimd of issue.
Are you talking about local music for your own files? If so, I've been using power amp for like 12 years since the original droid. Still gets updated (was just updated less than a month ago).

> Lately, the audio has been too incredibly loud for me. Even with the volume at the minimum level without muting it, it is either too loud
The volume was so loud on minimum setting it would hurt my ears and I could no longer listen to music when going to bed. After trying MANY third party apps to lower the volume, which did not fix it, my kid told me to get this which should allow me to lower the volume further. It worked.
Thanks for posting,u/smells_fishy. I'm afraid wiping the cache partition under the Bootloader menu is no longer supported on newer devices. I would suggest using Files By Google to clear unnecessary files on your device. - Mike
Thanks for posting, u/HELLOGAMESOFFICIAL. I'm afraid the Face Recognition is no longer supported on the Moto G Stylus (2020). However, you can try Moto Face Unlock.- Mike
I had the same thing with my G7+ - I did a factory reset and reinstalled everything but FNG (as I had heard it caused similar lag with someone else) and no more lag.
Unfortunately FNG hasn't been updated for over a year and a half so I suspect it's no longer under development. I'm using UbikiTouch now and I find it better than FNG so all good.

I just encountered the same problem. Purchased this phone still new in the box only to discover it's some sort of a "freak" production done specifically for T-Mobile back in 2019.
This is the only case I could find. I did also find another individual that listed pictures of cases produce by Speck and by Tech21 for this specific camera shaped phone. Their online sites do not offer, I have message their support team for info.
Hi u/JupiterCentauri949, thanks for posting and this is a bit unexpected for the Moto G7 Power. Can you please provide a screenshot of the error message you're receiving when you open those files? Also, have you tried using Files by Google to check those files? Does the issue persists after doing so? Please share more details and we'll further check. - Mike
Hi u/HenkBroam, thanks for posting and we would like to help. Have you tried Files by Google Application to clean up cache on your device? If not, we recommend using this application to free up some space and clean up your cache on your Moto G6 Plus. - Mike
I think the camera is fine, but I'm not the guy to ask about that. I bust out my DSLR when I'm looking to shoot real photos. I did read that certain sensors are not properly addressed with the software, but I expect a new camera app will appear eventually that will take care of it.
I did shoot this night shot recently, of the moon on the canal in Amsterdam.
Other things that were important to me are NFC and dual SIM.
I was disappointed to find that the dual SIM uses the same slot and tray as a potential Micro SD card- I had to choose between the extra SIM or expanding the storage. With 128G it's not really a concern, but it is unpleasant to have to make that choice.
Also, we probably are reading the same reviews. I also saw that about the "missing" compass sensor, with several people declaring quite authoritatively that it does NOT have it. But a quick look at Device Info HW (a great app by the way) showed me that it's there, happily reading the earths magnetosphere.
If you are an Amazon Prime member and you do not mind the ads, might I recommend for $179.99 the Moto G5 Plus (32 GB)? For only $20 more you can get the 64 GB Version.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBRN2YI/
Here is another option without ads. Just note that it only works with GSM carriers. It is a 32 GB version for $180.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XH4396B/
Why am I recommending Moto G phones? If your budget is $250, you can do so much better than the E series. I got my Moto G4 Plus (64 GB) back in Cyber Monday 2016 for $229 on Best Buy.
This logo is what you're looking for. It may be on the side or by the USB port. It may just have the lightning bolt logo and QC 3.0 (or QC 2.0), not the whole name. If you don't see that, and it should be pretty prominent, it's not a compatible fast charging standard, and likely why it's charging slower. It's probably just a 5V/2.4A USB charger if you don't find the QC logo.
Note that the QC logo is only for a non-Moto branded charger. Moto calls the charger the Turbopower 15+. The + is important, as that is the indicator it's using the newer QC 3.0 standard.
So if you want a second fast charger, look for Quick Charge (or QC) 3.0. Or buy another Moto charger. They're $20 from Amazon if you're in the US.
And yeah, give it a couple full charge cycles and see how it does.
Motorola tends to put the colors to Natural I personally like saturated colours. I think you are searching that too.
Settings> Display> Advanced> colours> saturated.
Now the colors in the display will look much clearer. If u are not satisfied, with the three colour modes 1. Natural 2. Boosted and 3. Saturated
You have to root the phone and use an app called colour changer
Link me: colour changer free
The modem baseband doesn't define the processor. Could be using a different baseband that was based on the older modem, and just didn't change the version naming.
Install DevCheck and see what the second tab says. Should tell you the CPU that is actually inside.
Good luck! My Moto G6+ gives all kinds of trouble with different charger and cable combinations.
Sometimes it only charges properly if I have the USB C in one way or the other, which is not how USB C is supposed to work, I think.
I use the app Ampere to give me real time information about charging speeds.
Can you please provide us a screenshot of this? Can you also try this application and set it to day mode: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=systems.maju.darkmode Thanks. - Mike

I'd recommend something like this. It's the same brand as what I'm using now on my Moto E. I feel the pain of those "self healing" things, was gifted one for my last phone and hated it. I always go with a hard protector like these.

To be specific, so you can search for cheaper options, it is 3.5mm stereo + mic -- to -- 3.5mm stereo plug.
Hope that helps, and BTW, Motorola is Lenovo now.

From a comment of a developer of an app that partially do what you want to do:
It's not possible to have a background app and a foreground app with different volumes, this is an Android limitation.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spycorp.appvolumecontrol
So, I'm still farting around with this. Found this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phascinate.precisevolume
It allows you to separate out System Sounds from the other sounds. It makes the sounds we talked about normal again. Thing is, the app has to be running all the time and you have to change volumes inside it. Pro version may be different, but I didn't buy it.
So having said that, there has to be a setting somewhere the I can change that the app is changing. I'm rooted running stock 8.1, so I have access to everything. Just need to find what file to modify.
I'd grab something like this (Samsung 128GB U3): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWZWYVP/
Not sure if the Moto G6 takes full advantage of the faster speeds a U3 card provides, but at least you know the card itself won't be the source of any sort of bottleneck.
Unfortunately Samsung's music player only works on Samsung devices. It relies on a lot of their extra framework that other Android devices don't have.
Pulsar Music is a great, lightweight, free (with no ads or in-app-purchases) music player. Simple to use with a nice, basic material UI.

Further background: I bought a Moto G6 32 GB at launch in June 2018. I just noticed this today when I went to take a picture and it was all blurry. I don't use the camera often but I definitely took a photo last Sunday and it was good. I don't remember any particular event that could have caused this type of damage.
The only thing I can think of is I sometimes put the phone in my pocket with a couple other things and I'll be driving as well; this probably puts a lot of pressure against the top and bottom ends of the phone and over time I wonder if the glass weakened to a point where it eventually burst. I've also been using a case since day 1 (item link is here https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BB3DCCH/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Sorry for the poor picture quality, my only other working camera is the laptop webcam.
Any USB C cord will work on Amazon, but if you want to feel the most secure and the fastest charging the Motorola turbo USB C is the way to go: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M8MFCYQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_pVwPzbZVWG7CZ
Question for you all. I'm getting this phone and when I'm looking at cases online for it, about half of them have a cut out on the back where the Moto mods contacts are. Here's an example.
Any idea why they're doing this? As far as I know you can't attach any Moto mods with a case on, so is this a purely aesthetic thing?
Charging it overnight sounds like a good plan. If it still won't take charge or respond, what you'll need to acquire is a factory cable: https://www.amazon.com/Fastboot-Factory-Motorola-Atomic-Market/dp/B00KYVEM1I
The factory cable differs from a regular cable in that one of the 4 pins that normally doesn't have charge, has charge. The presence of charge on this pin allows the phone to function on AC power, without requiring battery power. This will allow you to factory reset and flash without difficulty, although I think we can get this thing working without one.
Bootloop issues have a lot of different causes. I've seen phones bootloop when put on the charger overnight due to data decay of certain partitions. Sounds kind of crazy but I've personally seen it and fixed it using JTAG techniques. Sometimes an OTA update causes an app incompatibility or OS destabilization preventing Android from booting into Safe Mode (thusly the bootloop.) Sometimes the bootchain gets corrupted. There's a whole plethora of potential causes, which makes it truly difficult to speculate beyond what I've said above.
When the phone shuts down normally, power consumption is practically 0. If there was an issue with your charger or the USB port on the device, you could see power loss via OTG connection (this is where you can plug flash drives into your phone and they work... basically, the phone can put in power through its USB port as well as take in power.)
Personally, I would probably wait until trying the factory cable before considering a battery replacement. If the factory cable does nothing, it could be a bad USB port which would mean you're wasting your time on a battery swap. New USB ports can be installed, but this should only be done by an experienced tech with a micro-solderer. Oftentimes, phone repair shops will have or will know someone who can do this at a reasonable price.
I just bought this clear case by Poetic(came in yesterday), but it feels really good so far: http://www.amazon.com/Affinity-Protection-Material-Protective-Motorola/dp/B017MYQR44/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1460662153&sr=8-1&keywords=poetic+moto+x+pure+edition+case
Lol, sorry. They're pretty well hidden on the site. Here's a few links to some of the different configurations:
There's a few different ones in that link. I'm sure there will be more eventually.
Hello, Firstly as it is Verizon device so it cannot be bootloader unlocked. Secondly the XDA thread you linked,as you have the correct firmware version as stated there, only factory reset your device and carefully follow the steps mentioned there. If it too tough for you, leave it, as you may risk completely bricking the device. Third, OTG+Charge cable(its called OTG Y-cable)here- http://www.amazon.com/Micro-Cable-Player-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00CXAC1ZW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1437928325&sr=8-1&keywords=otg+y+cable (sorry am not American so cant provide you the cheapest one,but you should get the idea.) Fourth thing, I don't know much about PS3 controller linking but I think you require root.. Lastly, backup all your media to a PC. Use any app available from play store to back up your logs, calendars, contacts, smses to sdcard and then subsequently copy it to PC. (Generally contacts and calendars are synced with your Google account, but backup just in case)
They're removing Moto Assist and the Moto connect chrome extension - and these are the two major features that have driven my decision to buy Moto phones (along with battery life).
In particular, the Moto Assist 'speak to me' and automatic detection of driving mode is NOT duplicated well on any other phone. Does M provide this feature, or will I lose it?
If you read the reviews of Assist, you'll see people LOVE it and many folks say its the reason they stick with Moto. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motorola.contextual.smartrules2&hl=en
WTF Moto, are you trying to make me an iPhone or Samsung user?
I would strongly recommend Truecaller. I'm using a Nexus 6, but if Motorola is using basically stock firmware (they are), you'll have to go third party.
Truecaller uses a crowdsourced database to automatically block known spam callers, as well as custom blocking with the option to let them silently ring through (don't know they're being blocked) or straight to voicemail (looks like phone's off)
