I loved all of the people who pre-ordered the game denying the lock. Claiming multiple people are playing at 60fps, that the dev's were baffled at the 30fps accusations. All without sources to back their info up.
Really shows how defensive people get over poor purchase decisions.

You can't even make a private lobby like in GTAO. I got ganked after hunting. I was putting the carcass on my horse, and some dirtbag came along and killed me and stole my deer. So I respawned and hunted him down. When I killed him I got bonus XP for "revenge" but also lost honour for committing a "murder," to make matters worse, I also received a wanted level and got killed by the lawmen, and my deer disappeared. I was hoping for more incentive for people to not kill each other in cold blood.
I left feedback for Rockstar suggesting they include private lobbies and add a bounty system that puts a price on players heads who force involuntary PVP on others. The bounty system would work similar to singleplayer. It's permanent until you pay it or until it gets collected by other players.

They had GTA Online Trailers before the original game was released. It's safe to say with a week till the end of the month, and no assurance of its arrival. It's delayed.
I believe the only reason they haven't announced the delay is to not dissuade game sales with negative press until they have to in the next few days.
Also on the game case it says Online is "Coming soon" check the Rockstar website for release date, which gives them room to extend the release date.
The reason it is so big is because it includes all of the previous updates using a new compression method. After installing this massive update the game will actually take up less hdd space and future updates should be much smaller in download size.

Clothing customization was not originally planned, as we wanted to tie Lincoln's appearance closely to the narrative. In the story, he will change outfits and his look based on certain events.
However, fans let us know they wanted the option of additional outfits for Lincoln, so we have been working on those along with a host of other free post-launch DLCs. We will let you know more about these when they are closer to release.

EnVy's CS:GO team is a shell of it's former self.. Meanwhile, OpTic picked up a tier 3 NA team at the beginning of the year, and now have won the biggest tournament a NA team has ever won, Fucking Eleague, which was broadcasted on television.

Before someone tells you to git gud, I'd like to point out that there is a post on the forums with video proof of took guys testing shots out in a private matches that shows how your shot doesn't really fire even though the animation shows that you do along with blood coming out of your opponent. You shoot but do not damage and consume no ammo.
Looks like The Coalition is investigating it already.
Everyone needs to start complaining on the official forum . It may not change anything but I’m sure if thousands voice their opinion it could change something when it’s out of beta.

To be fair...
People were really happy when they made "official announcements" on twitter, or when they made that thread stating some things they're looking into.
Most people don't have the time to "research" and skim through posts to see if anything is going on. When we're getting 99% of updates about stuff like this through replies in threads, or in twitter chains that most people don't see, it doesn't exactly help them out.
The transparency that we got from that Forum Post was fantastic. Unfortunately, there isn't a 'high rate' of responses like this.
I don't care if they can't say exactly what they're doing, and I know it's going to take time to implement some stuff. But having posts like this, or some of the replies that they've had are nice things...to show that we can expect changes in the future. Individual replies are nice, but public posts go a LOT further.
I don't know the perfect solution, but I know that quite a few people are disappointed in the amount of transparency we currently have.
Fortnite is a class-based horde survival game by Epic Games focused on building fort-like structures, gathering materials, and rescuing survivors. It's basically Team Fortress 2's Mann vs. Machine mode but with a more diverse cast and supernatural theme. Early Access starts July 25th, so if you're looking for something interesting to play I'd highly recommend it.

The official website says the new 2K studio Hangar 13 is the developer and if this article is anything to go by, it sounds very interesting!

Except a lot of people, and I mean a lot of people aren't legitimately having problems. They have been abusive with their messaging.
They will all tell you BS about being innocent, but the proof is when you look at their chart. High report of others, and high number of reported incidents including messaging.

Man, I loved Alan Wake... but that game got crazy meta! There's actually a QR code in the game (before the part that shows the footage in that GIF) that takes you to a real-world website making fun of the footage you haven't seen yet!
I disagree. Gears 2 had some great moments, like riding the Brumak and killing the giant worm, but it also had the weakest final boss (Lambent Brumak) and unclear direction when it came to the Myrrah and the Sires.
Gears 3 is the best campaign, in my opinion. It ties everything together nicely, and had pulled some serious emotions when it came to Dom and then with Adam Fenix.

As a huge Gears of War fan, I would recommend Rise of the Tomb Raider. Really enjoyed my time with it. If you're interested in Gears, wait for Gears of War 4 (comes out October) when most of the community moves over to it. Buying Gears 4 will also net you all the 360 Gears games through Back Compat.
GTA5 was primarily built as single player, yes. But the multiplayer took off in such a huge way, and made so much money that you'd be a fool to think they won't add multiplayer to future games with even more focus than before. GTA Online has changed the game, like it or not.

That doesn't sound like a single-player focused game to me.
Gears is the Dark Souls of multiplayer shooters. It has a steep learning curve, but is really rewarding once you figure it out. There's not too many weapons, and the weapons themselves aren't complex to use. Everyone starts a match with the same loadout, and weapons can only be swapped at weapon spawns or with a teammate. It's mostly the mechanics of movement... Gears is pretty unusual in a world full of one-shot FPS. Rifles take the better part of a clip to down an enemy, and then you have to finish them off. Shotguns and power weapons will do the job in one shot... if you take advantage of the way they work. But the movement is different. You need to use cover, and there's no real way to accurately describe the total cover mechanic in this game and how it applies to multiplayer... you just have to learn it.
Free play weekend is on now for Win10 and Xbox One.. Go download it and try it out.

What about The Coalition, who made Gears 4? One of the most optimized games I've played in recent years, and the devs added an advanced benchmark feature, a crazy amount of graphics settings, plus a big performance guide pre-launch.
Or even Black Ops III. Could have been just a port with the same features as the console version minus split-screen as usual, but Treyarch's PC dev team also added split-screen to the PC version in all modes, plus they added map tools, modding, a server browser, and custom dedicated servers.
Horde would count as co-op multiplayer since it's not competitive. I'll try and find a source, but I'm 99% certain they said no to competitive MP.

It's so complicated I'm reluctant to even start. It makes overwatch godsend when i decide to play it because they throw lootboxes at you all the time for everything but here it goes.
In gears 4 there are different type of loot boxes, versus 400 credits/$1 (gives you bounties to set each game to accomplish a goal for xp), horde 400/$1 (more bountys but for horde mode only), operations 800/$2 (chance at customizable items like overwatch), elite 2000/$5 (higher chance at rarer items) and then the filthy monthly one weekend only community packs, 400 to 2000 credits. The drops on these are crazy and meant to exhaust your credits so you buy.
You have to buy the loot boxes with credits you can earn for each game win or lose 60 to 130 credits. You get 500 credits every 5 levels I think. You can earn some credits by completing rare bountys.
You only get loot boxes free when you reup (the military term for prestige). Thus every 100 levels.
Then there's scrap when you drop duplicates like overwatch, you get scrap for it to actually buy what you want. That system is very stingy but hopefully they fix it in the next game.
Then they have the esports supporter packs for 10 bucks a pop only. For a chance at a character skin and there's still regular launch game stuff in them.
There's been so much complaining that they've readjusted the packs since release for better but it's don't enough. I cant recall much else do some searching on the r/gearsofwar sub and you'll see.
If you think that's impressive, The Coalition released a very thorough blog for Gears of War 4 before release, explaining graphics settings, expected framerate, and benchmarks for different setups. Link

You must use the feedback form they’ve provided. It’s is easy and fast.
if they ignore your complaint, you can bitch about it. If you haven’t informed Rockstar about your problem you don’t really have a justification to complain. Mock them all you want, it is a beta, and they can’t improve it unless we play and share our experiences with them. Venting feels good, no judgements here, but tell Rockstar before venting to the world.

I'd say I've put more than my fair share of hours into GTA Online, amassing around 440 hours of playing time according to my R* Social Club feed. That was done over the course of around 18 months from the end of 2016 until April 2017.

Based on the consensus that a gold bar in RD Online seems to take around 8 hours of grinding to accumulate, I'd be able to build up around 55 of them over the next 18 months playing at the same rate and logging similar hours, minus any free roam and purely spamming quests and replaying missions (for the record, nope, that will not be happening).

If I then spent another 18 months doing the exact same, and never used a single gold bar on anything else over those combined three years, I'd still be about 55 hours short of being able to afford the fast travel wheel, one of the more expensive items in the game at 117 bars.

Sure, I get that the game needs to be an ongoing challenge and should require serious time investment to be able to afford certain things (or real-life investment of your own money to boost you there), but more than three years of exclusively grinding a game to afford one in-game item is absolute crazy talk.

The same goes for most in-game purchasable items with $. Some weapons come in at $1000.00, but at least in the early missions I completed in my first hour or so of playing last night, we're getting $4-$6 a pop for completion. I'm sure your take will increase in later story missions and no doubt there are one-off bigger rewards left for me to come across, but that's still a hell of a grind.
They already promised car customization, outfits, and races. Plus with the season pass or as a separate paid dlc, more storyline missions will be coming.

Huge fan of Mafia II, however it's missing a lot of things that Mafia II had. For example something as simple as switching lights on and off, changing radio stations indoors. Plus no car customization (paint, etc) or character customization is pretty lame.
It's not as bad as people make it out to be though, plus the upcoming content patches/expansions (Sort of like GTA:O) look really promising!
Some might say this stuff should have been included in the game at the beginning, but it's not just character customization and car customization they're adding, it's new stories for singleplayer.
Who would have thought coming into 2018 that the first team to bring home a win would be DOTA!??!? GG to the guys looking better and better!

I booted up each game this weekend to compare the shotgun spread between the games. I used Gridlock as my map since it is in every game and used 3 reference points on the map to show the difference between the Gnasher generations.
The close range shot is taken from the flowerbeds on the docks. The midrange shot is taken from the sniper tower wall to wall, The far shot is taken on the freeway spawn wall to wall.
To keep the distances consistent, I backed my character all the way against the wall in each reference area and shot a round. Then I took a picture of the damage from each, transferred the images to GIMP, and highlighted each hole with a different color. I tried to make sure the walls lined up in gimp so that the picture sizes didn't effect the highlighting.

ARMA 3 and Natural Selection 2 would be your best choices. If you're going to play them then it's highly recommended that you use a mic to communicate with your team members.
It's also possible to join some serious clans in ARMA 2 or 3 which focus on realistic and serious communication, combat and tactics in the game.
His suspension ends on October 16th with the exception that he is still banned from Fall Regionals which takes places on November 11th-12th. The people who have registered on the website have not had codes sent to them. Only "Legacy" players have had the codes sent. These are players who:
Have an Xbox Live Gold account in "good standing"
You have to have played Gears 1, 2, 3 and judgment and logged into Xbox Live on an Xbox One Console before April 2015.
Otherwise you should not yet have any codes.
That being said, I should meet the Legacy requirements and I haven't gotten a code yet either.

Practice and become extremely accurate with the gnasher. You'll need to learn how to properly wall bounce and pull off reaction shots. Watch some of the streams from past events and see how the current pros play. Join a team and scrim whenever you have the chance. Just practice practice practice until you have mastered the mechanics of Gears 4.
I know I may receive some negative feedback for this, but Gears is a very easy game to move from novice to pro in less than a year if you dedicate enough time.

Arma 3 comes out soon. Look into it. The game area trumps battlefield's by a MASSIVE margin. It comes out supposedly in Q4 of 2012 (this year).
I love BF3, but ultimately I don't think it will ever be this type of game.

Ya'll need to hold your outrage and instead maybe give these folks at Hanger 13 some props.
The fix is done. They're verifying it to make sure it works properly and currently expect to push it out to consumers sometime this weekend according to the update on their website.
Not only did they immediately recognize that they fucked up, and then immediately respond to the PC community, but on the eve of launch they pulled out all the stops are pushing a fix within a few days, instead of popping corks and celebrating. If you can't support a dev that does that, I'm not sure what you want. As far as I'm concerned, owning your fuck up and dropping everything to fix it as soon as possible is, quite frankly, more impressive to me than having not fucked up in the first place.
They are two separate issues - we've always been clear on that.
Here's our known workarounds for both issues. We're working hard with relevant teams across Microsoft (for one of them) and Nvidia (the other) with regular meetings to get these resolved. Thanks for bearing with us - let us know if these solutions don't work for you.
