Too much water without sodium caused a death or three.

Don’t drink water. Drink Gatorade or something with salt in it.

Extremely important as significantly less water intake is necessary to cause problems while rolling. The balance of sodium inside and outside the cells in your brain gets messed up.

Also some deaths from rhabdomyolysis.

I’m not exactly clear why MDMA causes this to happen in the first place, but the assumption is that those with compromised or weak kidneys are not able to handle it.

I would take this a step further and say don’t do any heavy workouts for a few days prior to rolling. Especially weightlifting, as this causes “R” as well, and an increased load would just compound it.

If you do any sort of physical exercise on a stimulant like this you have a VERY high chance of getting rhabdomyolysis which damages your muscles to the point beyond repair in addition to damaging your kidneys. This also can happen if you physically exert yourself on something like adderall coke or vyvanse and is why I don’t exercise on stims other than caffeine. Hope you make a smart choice.

Here’s a half life calculator so that you can calculate how much of it left in your system after 5 days, my calculation based on 40 hours half life is you have 12.5% of it left in your system, yes 40 hours is the max of the half life, it can be as low as 20 hours, if you do 20 hours, most of it are gone from your system, the only thing you can do is if you can still get the same pill, you can try to roll again in a couple of months but stop taking your med 2 weeks before you plan to roll, if it’s a strong roll, then you know it’s the med, again this is assuming it’s real mdma and assuming your estimated dosage of 140 mg is somewhat accurate.

You could try out some music visualizer software and run it on a big screen. I use VSXu. It reacts to the any audio that is played on your computer.

Check how accurate the scale is. You want one that shows milligrams. The difference between 110mg and 190mg is very considerable but they will both show up as 0.1g on most cheap scales. Look for the gemini-20 on Amazon, its the most recommended milligram scale.

the hallucinations are definitely MDMA dose-responsive and amplified by cannabis :) my weirder ones have happened at the 130mg-150mg range - I hallucinated a circle of towering shadow figures standing over my bed, silhouetted by a psychedelic tapestry backdrop. intricate visuals. scary for any other experience but the shadow figures had a protective vibe. It's typically the higher end (up to 160mg) that I'll start having those complete reality replacing hallucinations, and usually just need to be shaken out of it. never fun to feel like you are working when you are just in bed coming off of drugs hahaja

(for casual use - great synergy with most substances, and awesome for MDMA comedown). if you are in the US, you can get a dispenser on amazon for about $30 (which can last years if maintained), and a box of 100 chargers (plenty to last for a small gathering, but they do disappear quick haha) for ~$50. It's best to use theses scales without zeroing them: turn the scale on, then put the measuring bowl on so it reads a little weight, then add your substance until the scale reads however many milligrams you want more than the measuring bowl weight. If, instead, you start it at zero with the Tare button, it will tend to "hunt" toward zero and be inaccurate for small amounts.

Two things you always must do:

2) There is genuinely dangerous stuff sold as MDMA or LSD. Test anything you buy. It’s not like you will discover it wasn’t what was advertised once in a while; it happens constantly. How good a kit? If you can get the thin layer chromatography component you can tell if there are multiple things in your supposed nice drug. For most that’s overkill, given you can get something that will say if something is NOT what it’s supposed be a good deal cheaper. I would recommend getting all the reagents if you buy it regularly. You just don’t know what it is you will be wanting to buy/use in advance enough to go purchase reagents as needed. Get everything you might need. You don't need a milligram scale. Up to 10mg is going to be close enough for MDMA.

And my point about ice baths was mainly that if ice baths are a standard treatment, a cold shower is unlikely to be dangerous.

Obviously, there is a middle ground where someone is just anxious and a little warm and doesn't need to aggressive cooling. Distinguishing these cases is why we have thermometers.
