You can check if your PC runs UMvC3 on this website. I wouldn't be too worried if your PC can't run mahvel, it surprisingly doesn't take much to run it.
As SOLUNAR has stated, people would be more willing to donate if you offered to play them.
Marn was doing something like this, he would offer (i think 1-hour) spots in an endless lobby for $10. https://twitter.com/#!/MarnORZ/status/90498817543245824
Also, I know you have some fans over at NeoGAF so I could post this info over there if you'd like.
There's no native port to PC. I used to emulate it when my PS2 broke.
My old PC didn't support PS2 emulators pretty well.. if yours can, congratulations, just download PCSX2 and get a ISO file of the PS2 version of the game.
If you're getting pretty shitty FPS or lags, download a Dreamcast emulator, such Chankast, get some BIOS and get the MvC2 rom.
from my mobile phone i go to this site.. *http://t.zedge.net/ringtones/0-5-1-marvel%20vs%20capcom%203/

they don't have the most yet, but whenever I get a text I hear "hulk smash"
Yes, what you're looking for is a router. While you don't need to setup a router with a computer, I don't see why you wouldn't want to do that when you already said that you have a laptop. Technically you don't really need to set up a router but I would strongly recommend it, if you can't do it from a computer, you can do it from a smartphone by typing your router's gateway into an internet browser. Cisco, Linksys and D-Link are all good brands to look out for when buying.
Plug it in here too: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g34515-d85393-Reviews-Wyndham_Orlando_Resort_International_Drive-Orlando_Florida.html
There were about 5 different sites with availability still.... Same price of 164 a night though.
Good luck!

I don't know if it even exists, most of it is anecdotal evidence we have heard from other players or have experienced it or seen it ourselves but there doesn't seem to be any actual proof on the matter. I often hear Viper and Nova have godlike throw ranges and it seems true when I play against those characters. Even messing around with Viper in the lab, it always seemed easier to get air grabs. I only knew She-Hulk's air grab range was so good when I started catching people constantly and they couldn't react in time, but against Thor who seems to have terrible throw range(unless it's a kara cmd grab) is tech'd more often. Strange also has a godlike ground throw, it doesn't seem like it has a lot of range but according to serpentaurus' post #4 , they have different priorities, which may or may not be true.
If it exists I'd love to know about it. It would be nice if a pro could maybe shed some light and maybe create a tier list based solely on throw ranges.
After looking around for a few minutes, I stumbled upon this same question from GameFAQs. Back up your old save file just in case.
Well my Jill's pretty decent, if you want to see my jill gameplay to verify, head over to PJS Winning Archives, I have a few vids of myself on streaks and the such.
Feel free to ask me anything. Actually, anything you have to ask me should be contained in my Guide :http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/637240-/62510508
It's a bit outdated, I have alot of Tech that I have been developing.
These are ways I've gotten my sticks to work:
Method 1:
Note: Round trip and Buster do not work with this method.
I installed joy2key, set it up, and then set up keyboard mapping in game. Then I just went into controller settings and set everything to "none" and now it works just fine.
Method 2:
Note: Everything works as expected with this setup.
You'll win more if you use Wesker last. He's ridiculously, stupidly strong and fast in level 3 X-factor. He's called Dark Wesker, or Level 4 Wesker because of the sunglasses mechanic -- when he loses his shades, he gets a 15% damage buff on top of X-factor if you have it activated. Ammy isn't as strong in X-factor and she doesn't have a teleport/mixup game like Wesker does, so it's definitely harder to even get your opponent into combos, because they have no incentive to do anything but block against her. Whereas Wesker can attack from all sorts of angles, and he has a command grab (you can't escape from those by definition) that beats all blocks.
If you're uncomfortable using Wesker last because you think it's a crutch... I totally get that. But he's super effective, and you shouldn't limit your team's potential by using him in the wrong spot. If you're uncomfortable winning with Wesker, I don't think you ought to even bother using Wesker. Here's a link to a thread where someone listed all the OTG assists.
I applaud your using Jill, she's a very tough character. Not many people know how to use her or fight against her, so I really hope you can make her work for you.
The WNF Marvel stream is held on Kevin Ha's stream. He also holds some sessions on Thursday at the X-Factory.
Marvel at NLBC hasn't really been a thing for a while. I believe Marvel is held at Mashfest Monday and is sometimes streamed on NYCFurby.
As a sidenote, I heard there was some interest in having live chat. While I'm afraid that isn't possible on actual reddit without hacking the site somehow, does anyone have any opinions on IRC? It's not particularly complicated and we could probably get a server for that going easily enough.
For my PS1 pad I used to use a Xtokki converter but I tried out this generic one on amazon and found it to have the same latency and build quality (both are pretty meh tbh but the wire for this one is much shorter and it's almost half the price). Both of these do break easily tho, like around a couple of months of use, but if you keep it in its original packaging it will last longer (as oppose to throwing them in a bag, like I do with mines lol)

Plenty of used copies too, its not that hard to find, just dont expect to walk in a Gamestop and find one (even though I've spotted several used copies locally)
Here is an article of them partnering with EVO in 2009 for king of fighters I assume they've expanded since then.
made a bullshit game for fun. I think its pretty challenging to play and I'm looking for any ideas people may have
http://www.filedropper.com/game_4
just drag the game folder to your desktop and run the game.exe
If your on xbox, vs either me or Uber, we are both the best in the bizz.
Either way, I have a large ass guide on Gamefaqs and Post frequently in the SRK Jill section so you can reach me there.

Jill does NOT need an otg, infact most of her high damaging bnbs (Modified Dual Wallbounce or tri wallbounce) don't require one. Windzero's jill is ass though.
Change it from ssd to regular HDD, see what happens.
Also, get a program like SSD life and tell us the current health of the drive http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Hard-Disk-Utils/SSDlife-Free.shtml

Seth killian versus intern in UMVC3 build with Iron fist and Vergil.
Seth showing a basic, basic combo at 3m45s of this video that does 60% to the FUCKING HULK!
Use x360ce and choose the x64 version. Copy the file to the UMVC3 folder, run it, configure the pad (it'll download the settings automatically), save it, close it and then run the game. That's how I play.

hori fighting commander. (Amazon link) it's only $40 and mine has lasted me close to 3 years. works for pc ps3 and ps4 and you can switch the controls around so you get 6 face buttons and 2 bumpers.
Just download steam link from the android Playstore . Then you just have to run Umvc3 from any desktop or laptop capable of running it at a decent framerate, make sure your phone and computer are on the same network, launch the newly downloaded steam link app, and that should be it. You also need a USB Type c to USB female adapter for your controller/fightstick
lol that stick is pretty bad actually. If you want to commit to using a stick, I'd actually recommend this one. It's not much more expensive and uses much better parts than does the super cheapo hori one. If you get either though, you can always upgrade the parts though. However, as others have stated, there's absolutely nothing wrong with learning the game with a controller instead of an arcade stick. Some people believe that using a stick is more accurate, and it can be, but there are people who learn how to be extremely consistent and precise with their inputs anyway, haha.
Thanks for the input. Damn those pads are kinda expensive (Canadian Dollar FeelsBadMan), but it seems the general consensus is to avoid the mini pad, so I'll do just that.
Someone below suggest this specific stick. Is this a good enough stick to get me rolling, cause it's significantly cheaper than the Qanba Q4?
I used to use the xbox 360 controller with the rotating dpad, which I stuck cardboard because I prefer a really stiff dpad. I transitioned to ps3 and I can say that the dpad on the Hori fighting commander is leagues better than what I was playing on before. It's ps3/ps4/pc compatible so you pretty much have your bases covered
I'm looking for a stick to play UMvC3 and SFV on PC. This mayflash stick is pretty cheap and is the amazon recommended one, but my buddies who play the games recommend this hori one. I've used the xbox/pc version of the stick that my buds recommend and I really like it, but I want to know if it's worth it. Any suggestions?
Getting SFV tomorrow, if anyone wants to friend me or whatever, my PSN is TheZerms.
Hopefully I record more MAHVEL, because I want my channel to mainly focus on MAHVEL, but to I don't want to ask people to record matches, I don't like begging people to ask to record them. But less and less time I can't find ANYONE decent playing in lobbies(because good players stick to player matches or avoid online altogether) so I have to ask to record more and more often, which is something I don't like to bother people with at all.
But, if it comes down to it, that is what I have to do.
Also, I got Bloodborne and beaten it already(but found out I didn't get the true ending) so I still have to replay it to get the real ending.
Also planning on getting a new laptop, but I don't have a ton of money at all, basically I want a laptop that will be an okay stream laptop and laptop that I can do some editing with, but I can't spend more then $400 on, because I don't have a ton of spare money.
This laptop here is what I am thinking, and you can upgrade it a bit, which it looks like it could work pretty well for me, what do you guys think: http://smile.amazon.com/F555LA-AB31-15-6-inch-Full-HD-Laptop-Windows/dp/B011KFQASE/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8
Also Amazon warehouse deals has one for about $326, which works very well for me.
I use a hori gem pad EX for fighting games
it's cheap (40 bucks, and that's in canadian, so likely much cheaper in america), the triggers are heavily sunk in so they basically function as extra buttons, and it has my personal favorite d-pad of any controller I've ever used
most routers come with multiple ports, a router essentially has the functionality of a switch. The router i personally use is
It says on there that you need to use the cd to configure it but honestly you can configure wireless routers with a smart phone or a tablet.
> Suggest something better
yea, one of these
but on a serious note, I appreciate you took the time out of your day to suggest something but shouldn't we hold ourselves to a higher standard when it comes to offering advice for converters? especially if they can often delay a tournament or create lag?
on the fence if I should get the witcher 3 or not, it's on sale
get a long ethernet cable, hook up directly to the modem if necessary and test that first. some modems like the comcast xfinity one, is also a router and has multiple ports. You can get a wifi repeater to increase the strength of your signal like one of these which I use and it can definitely help boost the signal. Still, try to wired if possible, even if it means running a cable up some stairs, just use it when you want to play a match online and go wifi for everything else.
You can always just get a switcher, you don't necessarily need a router if your modem already has wifi.
Here's the converter that I see most often. It seems to be pretty popular, but there might be a better option out there.
Also, this this book is a really good read for learning to program with C# and provides a lot of great game design concepts. If you're willing to shell out the $40, I really recommend it.
I don't believe it's tournament standard but it's pretty decent.
edit: I believe they're using the 19" version, which is this one
I used to have a qanba q4 ps3 and xbox360 stick. It was pretty good I bought it for the dual compatibility. How does that compare to the Hori?
I also see that the new madcatz te is going on sale in amazon staring may 30th for 200 , what are your guys thoughts on this?
I'd pick up a copy of the bible if you can afford it.
Sure, a lot of this information is scattered throughout online, and some of this info might be dated, but it's still nice to have a tangible guide in your hand that you can flip through and read at your leisure. It really is an S-tier guide.
If you can find the guide on the game, I still stand by it. It will tell you more than I ever could, and better than I ever could.
http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Marvel-Capcom-Signature-Series/dp/0744013542
This is what i did as well - a stick is easier regardless though. I definitely recommend getting the l2/r2 buttons that reduce the depression time of the keys.
In case you are unfamiliar, ps2 L2/R2 are insanely inefficient buttons - they require more effort to push than literally every other button on the controller. (sony, if you're listening, fix this shit and stop being noobs). In the meantime, there are cheap plastic thingies you can buy on amazon for like 5 bucks that make hitting l2/r2 way easier.
http://www.amazon.com/Pelican-Triggers-Silicone-PlayStation-3-6304300/dp/B005D7G3LA/ref=pd_cp_vg_0 are the most comfy imo. if you're using 360, I have no advice.
Arcade sticks are generally better for buster switching in general because of the flat button layout (more like playing a piano than operating a controller), but to each their own.
http://www.amazon.com/SimCarbon-Carbon-Fiber-Vinyl-BLACK/dp/B0059XCVVO/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_7
Just buy something like this, take out your stick and buttons, remove your old artwork, cut the piece to fit, remove the film on the back, stick in on there and maybe screw in the corners like on mine, then put everything back together.
And £8.49 for UK buyers. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultimate-Marvel-Capcom-Signature-Guide/dp/0744013542/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1321114821&sr=1-1
Get it on the 25th though, so I went ahead and imported from Amazon US for a £20 premium T_T
Buy a DualShock 2 and an Xtokki 360 converter. $36 + shipping if you buy everything brand new.
All this content for 13 bucks and you still want a leaked version instead of buying one?

The easiest (and probably cheapest) option would be to get the new 360 controller
If you didn't know, the d-pad can actually transforms from the disc into a traditional plus d-pad. Probably your easiest and cheaper option. If you know who Fanatiq is (a pad player of MvC2 fame), he uses this pad when playing MvC3 and said that he loves it.
If all else fails, I suggest you hit up Tech Talk on SRK. I'm sure someone will have an answer for you there.
Define insane amount of money. Here's higher end for the PS3 - http://www.amazon.com/Playstation-Real-Arcade-Fighting-Stick-3/dp/B001GDQRZM . So you can imagine that low end is going to be around half that or less.
However there is a learning curve with these things, you WILL be worse with a stick for awhile.
http://www.amazon.com/Tekken-Limited-Wireless-Bundle-Xbox-360/dp/B002ED4DQI
This comes with a fairly decent stick. I have nothing to compare it too, but it does the job for me and got solid reviews.
I wanted to go there but for whatever reason all of the forum areas are blank to me. I registered and then when I visit the newb area it says there are no thread in the list even though the main area says it has 2k. Then I went to the phoenix area and it's the same thing. I tried on ff and it's the same. What's the deal?
EDIT: what about this one?
Would you be buying it for the ps3 or which console? Because I would personally recommend the hori real arcade stick http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001GDQRZM its on a deal right now for $99 plus free shipping, real top of the line stick
First of all Welcome!. My advice is to start by buying/reading the Ultimate Holy Bible of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. This is a really good way to get into the game. There is a lot of knowledge and tips in here. Of course you can ask here, but i think that every marvel player should had it. :)
