How to make a bong out of a Hennessy bottle:
1/5th bottles seem to work best. Get a bottle, wash it out, and set aside.
Go to a smoke shop and ask for a downstem and bowl piece. Ideally the down stem will be about 6” long. You can go longer/shorter depending on the angle your hole is made at.
Once you have your downstem, take a tape measure and measure the OSD of the glass. (Outside diameter. In my case the OSD was a hair over 1/2”, so I used a 5/8” drill bit)
Once you know the OSD of the downstem, you’ll need to go to the hardware store and get a drill bit that is at least 1mm larger than the OSD of your downstem. You need a special carbide (or diamond in some cases, ymmv depending on where you go to get the bit) drill bit that is intended for going through glass. They look a bit like this.
Drill your hole. ALWAYS WET DRILL GLASS. Always. Do it in your sink with the water running, and drill at about half-speed. It will take some time to get through the glass. The angle you hold your drill at will determine where and how the downstem sits in the bottle. About a 45 degree angle on the glass where I put my downstem works well.
Once the hole is made, rise the bottle out very well, and dry the outside. Put your downstem in the hole, and use some putty to make the air seal.
Pack a bowl, and enjoy ��

Yes they are diamond. Diamonds are actually very abundant and cheap and only are perceived as expensive and rare thanks to marketing. Industrial diamonds specifically (the ones that are used in grinding devices) are actually incredibly small, grains of sand size small.
Not OP but I’m assuming It’s the putty stuff you stick posters up with - “blue/blu tack” is the branded Aussie nomenclature (think Kleenex for facial tissue).
You might be able to find some rubber grommets to shove in the lid to stay and you just shove the tube through the hole in the middle of the grommet. That would create a seal.

If you're thinking honey as an alternative to beeswax I'd say no. Most honey you buy isn't going to have any wax, and if you buy the natural unfiltered stuff you're just way overpaying (and making your bong sticky) when you could easily buy this on Amazon. It won't take much at all. Put it in a pot you don't care about or line one very well with foil. Heat it gently on the stove until it's a liquid, then pour a little in and kind of swirl and pour it around to coat the whole inside. Good luck bro

folks, buy some rubber tubing to do this. Just put a slit in the top, and run it around.
Can get food grade tubing on amazon for cheap. Should be able to stay attached with just the pressure of fitting it on, if not hot glue should work.
Boiling point of nicotine is 247 F where THC is quite a bit more at 314 (thanks Google!) so probably not out of the box.
But here would be an example of someone boosting the input to fit the purpose.

Well, this was just the thing to get me motivated. I really, really quickly whipped up an ice try mold thing in SketchUp. You can print them and try it out. There is a common belief (or even just caution) that aluminum is unsafe to smoke out of because Alzheimers patients are found to have abnormally high levels of aluminum in their brain tissues. That said, there is a growing body of literature that has pretty much discredited the causal link between your aluminum intake and your alzheimers risk. That said, nobody in any of those studies was smoking it.

This is designed to fit the King Pam mini. I added a tool to help remove the skewers as they can be a pain to get out. Obviously you would need a thermostatically controlled switch of some kind to ensure this element remains around 190°C and does not overheat. I don't know about battery operated, you may be able to do something like that with nichrome wire, but I doubt you would be able to make a non-contact device like an electronic hooka coal.
But, if you had something that could heat the air going into a bong or hooka bowl you could make it operate much like a vaporizer.

Why not use one of these heavy walled round bottom flasks which has the joints already made for you. All you need to add is a drop pipe and mouth piece (or get a whip attachment and silicon tube) and the piece is made with no cutting risks but with awesome function?

Found this tall glass at Goodwill, it was someone's best man gift I guess based on the inscription I frosted out.

You should also look into glass coil condensers, here's a cheap one on Amazon that doesn't cost $150+ just to experiment with initially. I've also seen glycerin coil attachments for bongs before, and I found a site selling them while looking up the lab condensers.
If you have the money, try getting this from amazon. . I bought these to gift my friends joints when I had a surplus of weed.

ahem yes FOR SCIENCE plastics vaporize at 954 C and lighters burn up to 1970 C so it's probably OK to make a plastic chamber, a bad idea to have a plastic stem, and downright retarded to have a plastic bowl.
I would make sure the bowl is far enough away from the plastic, so it barely heats up.

Basically what I can say is your going to need a circuit, that circuit is going to need a switch, you'll probably want an LED to say when temperature is reached.
For your battery cable You'll want thick copper plated as that will allow for alot of current to run through at once and thats what heats up the grid.

i agree, cutting glass is something you should do in your garage. you should wear glasses cover your mouth/nose if you happen to be drilling or cutting aggressively. shoes are also important if you dont want to step on tiny sized glass shards. something like this is recommended for garage use if you dont have a sink
Your screen mesh is going to cause you trouble. I had a smaller mesh than you, and it was still problematic. If you grind it up fine enough to get a good vape going, you are going to suck it through the mesh.

Tig welding rods are supposed to be a suitable replacement. They are supposed to be steel coated in copper, and not hardened - so they should be easier to work with.
No one has used them yet though, so if you do you are breaking new ground.

It’s so fun! Tinkercad is a design program, but in the browser so you don’t have to download anything. I used to teach 3D modeling and that is what we’d use. The site is very ‘kid friendly’ and easy to use, but also has the ability to make some really complex designs with moving parts, hinges, ect. They also have a gallery to view other people’s designs. These activated charcoal pellets should work well as the interior, really any activated charcoal will work. For the body maybe dryer sheets + something more solid. Dryer sheets will allow airflow to go through and hold the pellets, but you will likely want some sort of shell (bottle, tube, etc)

I bring carts & dab pens on planes all the time. They don’t care at all, it’s not even illegal (assuming you’re in the U.S) in any states. If you’re really worried about it get a cheap vacuum sealer and put it with your toiletries.

I think the holes are caused by the Al melting since every source that I have found shows lighters getting up to 3,590.6 °F which is quite a bit above Al's melting point of 1220.58 °F. While that wouldn't make me concerned about the fumes(still not hot enough) it does make me wonder about inhaling the small pieces of the Al which does not seem like it would be good for your lungs.

Do yourself a favor and get yourself some spudgers and bottle brushes.
Add some ISO + kosher (more coarse than regular) salt. Shake for a bit. If there is leftover residue, use the bottle brushes.
I used this. It's a magnetic adapter for a pen that uses magnets, (airopro, yocan I think as well for some model). Could probably worded it better, basically just a 510 thread adapter.
I made a post not too long ago about something like this. I really don’t think the smoke will get hot enough to heat up the thick glass stem. Either way, I’ve ordered this and have had 0 complaints. As far as I see it, once the silicone is cured completely after 48 hrs and properly aired out, you shouldn’t have an issue. They make food safe and medical safe silicone too.

i really hope this works because i am sick of spending money on peace water. i'm buying a gallon of vegetable glycerin and 1 oz of liquid cranberry extract and going to start experimenting. This is really useful but it needs a stand like that. Maybe a separate print with a slotted tube to hold the roll up that can be removed from the front. I use a dube tube to hold mine up.

You could try a Smoke Buddy, but I think the people who said vaporizer have the right idea. I have a Pax which is small and discreet. Anything by Storz & Bickel is really the gold standard (and cost of gold). Flower vapes are also much better for your lungs. It doesn’t combust the bud, just heats it enough to release a vapor.

Have you tried some reverse pliers ? hmm? Maybe warm up the bong by letting it sit in some hot water first then use the pliers to give that stem a good tugging. I guess anything really sharp will do. But I have these Miracle Blade steak knives and they're kind of serrated so it works well on really dense buds, and I guess they're "miracle" blades because they stay sharp for a long time.
I bought a "clay extruder" but a pollen press might suit more people, could even make one with just a few tools and parts. It's a simple "T-handle" cylinder press that uses a screw to push the plunger the length of the tubing The extrusion discs that came with it are a little flimsy for this purpose by themselves, so I pop 3 in and wrap them in a layer of aluminum foil (shiny side out) and put a circle of aluminum foil on top of the plunger (matte side against it) From there, simply grind flower and removing stems and seeds, load it into your press, once you've loaded the amount you want for later, cap it up, screw down until you start feeling resistance, let rest a few minutes, give it a few more turns, let it rest again, then you should be able to remove it without it crumbling. Simply let the screw back, uncap the cylinder, then advance the screw again until the plunger is showing.
This also works great for keef, any time I realize my pollen catcher is full or I'm starting to get pearls, I'll do the same thing. I don't often smoke my keef, so doing this and freezing it also lets me store keef for months rather than weeks without losing potency or not being able to collect it later

I forgot to mention the rig uses 2 XMAX Starry whips to rig up to the Mightys and the glass.
The Starry whip tube fits it perfectly. I also had a bunch of 3/16" inner diameter tubing.

They are car cell phone holders that fit the mighty perfectly. Just squeeze the mighties in like your phone, squeeze again to release.
The center piece is from a car light rack mounting kit from amazon. I put rubber tape around the glass to protect it before clamping it on. I had to modify a piece of the clamp to put 2 of the same pieces together. (The kit came with a bunch of pieces) The mod was necessary so that the ends were the same and able to connect the phone holders. The clamp halves that I used from the kit have holes on the end with set screws. I modified 2 more pieces from the kit, so that they fit into the end of the clamp. That was screwed to the back of the phone holders, inserted into the clamp, and set screwed on. (I can twist the angle of the phone holders and re-tighten the set screws to wherever I want)

i kinda like your case for your lighter more tho so with your addition of the magnet = chefs kiss... doesnt your holder have a stamper on the bottom for packing down the bowl?
they are0,37€ per piece on amazon.de they cant be that much more expensive on the us version.
I've never used em they look interesting tho.... I've had some bad luck with mesh screens deteriorating over many repeated uses so i switched to glass daisy/honeycomb screens... Most recently I've switched to Smoking Screws. Since this is a post asking for thoughts on screens I'll link it for people to give a gander to.
