Is that the skin from the event you had to do in BF4 (get 100 kills with the M1911) prior to BF1 release?
Edit: yes it is. https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/road-to-battlefield-1-incarcerator-mission
Releasing in June, it will make Lupkow Pass, Zeebrugge, and River Somme available for free under this game mode: https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/road-ahead-for-battlefield-1-quick-ops-map-giveaways
There is an mobile app called Battlefield Companion, i think you can access it as a website on PC as well. There, you can see all your stats and stuff, and you can also create your own custom emblem.
I'll leave a link, but it's a PlayStore link, so of you have IOS you'll have to look for it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ea.bf3bl.bv
I still don't think it is, not to discredit Westie but he's been wrong before (can't find the tweet but he said Medics get Bolt Action rifles with Iron sights during BF1's development). They don't advertise it as a behemoth on the website (here) they just advertise it as a new heavy bomber, that would explain why there is 2 of them at once as well. Who knows we'll just have to wait and see.
If you are having an issue with the "Play" button being grayed out, or if when you log in VIA vpn, you get a gray page in the Origin client, that says: "Well, that didn't go as planned", these steps helped me, and may help you too.
*Make sure you can view hidden files: "view hidden files and folders" Show hidden files
*Delete Origin folder in C:\ProgramData\
*Delete Origin folder in C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\
*Delete Origin folder in C:\Users\ <username> \AppData\Roaming\
Do not delete your main Origins folder, only the ones I have listed here.
Then, make sure you are connected to the VPN server in Australia, and relaunch Origin.
If you are still getting the grayed out 'Play' button, then your VPN connection might be too slow. Try using the free VPN I used; FlyVPN.
Edit: Someone mentioned having to re-download an origin update, and reconfirming files. I did not have to do this, so I am not sure why it would have happened, but FYI, you may have to do this.
I love that in their original blog post about the new medal system, they tried to put such a positive spin on it:
>Battlefield veterans will notice some changes in how the commemorations work this time around. Each Medal still has a specific unlock criteria, but in Battlefield 1 you have the freedom to choose which medals to pursue. There are always 5 Medals to choose from, and this quintet of decorations is rotated on a weekly basis.
>This goes hand in hand with the philosophy of choice in Battlefield 1. To find something that caters to your play style at any given moment, you are free to choose which Medal you’re currently most interested in tracking. You can only track one Medal at the time, but if you change game mode or role you can switch focus and go for another Medal. Your progression will be kept as long as the weekly reset hasn’t happened yet.
https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/earning-medals-in-battlefield-1
I knew it sounded like a horrible way of managing medals from the very beginning, despite the PR speak.
NIVELLE NIGHTS
description; Chemin des Dames, 1917.
As darkness falls over the muddy battlefields around Malmaison and Soupir, French and German batteries prepare to yet again support their troops on the contested ground.
The moon, the searchlights, and the artillery lights up the night skies, exposing the vast network of trenches. Bite and hold as your foe will fight for every inch of ground. Strategy and teamwork will overcome those who have neither.
I agree here. Kotaku put out an article that completely misrepresents the criticisms of the game so far: https://kotaku.com/oh-no-there-are-women-in-battlefield-v-1826275455
It's not just the female and black characters. Battlefield is not foreign to a diverse cast. The issue is much larger than just gender, although these gender options are a part of the issue.
Battlefield 1 did an amazing job with attention to the detail and look of the soldiers, as well as appropriately changing the ethnicty of the soldiers for different battles. This trailer and the info released just seems like they're throwing it all away.
Does this help?
"On Monday December 25, bonus Scraps will not be handed out. Players will instead receive a Superior Battlepack that can be unlocked by logging in between December 25, 12 AM PT and December 27, 12 AM PT."
https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/celebrate-battlefield-1-holidays-with-events
Also, if you played 25-27 December, you might be able to see it on Battlefieldtracker.com.
Come the fuck on... it's even on your official website! >Want to jump into a vehicle and wreak havoc? Play as... the Pilot or Tanker! Deploy into the driver seat of a plane or tank in Battlefield 1 and you'll eschew your typical class in favor of the two new Vehicle classes. These replace your typical classes, letting you trade in your Medic or Support kit in favor of playing as a Tanker or Pilot. When you're deploying into a tank or a plane, those vehicles are your primary weapon, and you'll be fully absorbed into that role, rather than being an Assault who happens to by flying a biplane.
Link for those that want to see themselves. It's under the "Which class is right for you?" tab.
The stupid thing about it is on the website https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/battlefield-1-anniversary-activities-details the part about missions does not exist. So once again there was some poor miscommunication going on; ingame announcement mentions "mission", official website mentions nothing about missions at all.
Just over 100 years ago, in the foggy and cold night of October 23, 1917, the French Battle of La Malmaison began. It was a carefully planned offensive with limited goals, focused on capturing the strategically important and heavily fortified Chemin des Dames ridge. With advanced artillery tactics and tank support, the French forced the Germans to give up the ridge by November 1.
Nivelle Nights available for all Battlefield 1 players
Based on these century-old events, the Nivelle Nights bonus map has been an intense night experience for Battlefield 1™ Premium Pass and Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass owners since its release. Now, we have an exciting announcement about the map: Nivelle Nights will be made available for all Battlefield 1 players*.
Starting early November, you can tackle the muddy battlefields around Malmaison and Soupir as the French or German army. Make good use of the moon, the searchlights, and the artillery lighting up the dark night skies. Enjoy the map – and own the night.
Operation Campaigns coming early November
The new, epic experiences of Operation Campaigns is just around the corner. You can play Eastern Storm, the first Operation Campaign, starting early November.
Operation Campaigns expand on the frontline clashes between attackers and defenders, stringing together multiple Operations and adding unique rewards to the mix.
Eastern Storm combines the Operations from Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar: Brusilov Offensive and Red Tide. Eastern Storm will be available for owners of Battlefield 1 Premium Pass (or the standalone Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar expansion.)
Requires Battlefield 1 on applicable platform (sold separately), internet connection, EA account, and for console users, an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus membership (both sold separately).
More info: https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/nivelle-nights-map-for-all-players
Like others mentioned, it's Saving Private Ryan.
If you're in the US (not sure about other countries), it's currently on Netflix streaming. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Yes, it was in last week's official news:
>We’re glad to announce that we’re making more maps from Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass available for all owners of Battlefield 1*. (...) Coming in May, you’ll get to play on more maps with the hardened veterans of the French army making in a stand in a brutal defense of their homeland.
I'm so curious about the horse physics. It's hard to imagine animal physics in a game like Battlefield.
> I really appreciate the work you put into this updates.
Funnily enough, it barely is a bit of work anymore. I am using ShareX to quickly make (local) screencaps of the Battlepack contents (Most annoying part of this is just trying to get as many on of these skins on a single screencap without the opacity going down).
After I got all the individual screencaps I use some Python black magic to cut them together. Usually this was the most annoying part back when I still used GIMP to do that but now it is just a single line in PowerShell and I have a combined version of that ready to post.
Total amount of work: 5 to 7 minutes
In the latest official update with a teaser you also get a few screenshots of the finished versions of the maps and the infiltrator. I'm not seeing the martiny-launcher (I'm gonna call it that from now on because I like that name) on the pic though.
No, second mission doesn't close for another 3 days, and it typically takes a week or so after closing to get rewards.
Use BF calendar.
No judgment, it's not like Dice makes it easy to track all their BS.
> I've got a well cool emblem with a dinosaur now because I did it on the app
You could also just do it on the web companion and save yourself the trouble of downloading the app as well.
Creating emblems there is also easier and you can share them quite easily. That's how I ~~stole~~ acquired the collection of Emblems I generally use
I used Private Internet Access and iPlayer apparently detects if you're using VPN. My external IP was showing as UK, anyway. I ended up just torrenting it as there was already one up.
I only torrented because I 100% want to buy the film once it's released over here. Great documentary, I'll probably watch again this weekend.
Shock Operations is a new mode which DICE announced recently. The gameplay is pretty much the same as in regular Operations, but there's only one map and it's 40 player. Currently, it's in the process of being tested on the CTE, but it's supposed to be released with the June update.
https://www.battlefield.com/games/battlefield-1/turning-tides
AVAILABLE IN JANUARY:
New Map: Heligoland Bight
New Map: Zeebrugge
New Faction: British Empire: Royal Marines
New Vehicle: C-Class Airship
So, it's just the info that's already been posted, explained slowly over fairly uneventful game footage? Why?
For anyone actually interested who doesn't want to watch the video, all info is here
https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/celebrate-battlefield-1-holidays-with-events
See also the 2 other text posts that were already posted with this info
That was supposedly fixed in the Tsar update:
>Bombers should no longer take multiple damage pings from a single bullet.
But maybe they forgot to add it to the heavy bomber.
Two different development teams at EA DICE handle Battlefront and Battlefield 1. Seeing how DLC is yet to be released, BF1 will be supported for the foreseeable future.
Edit: https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/the-road-ahead-for-battlefield-1-march-2017
> I am happy to say that after looking at different ways to address this, we have found an approach that we are excited to try out together with you.
Doesn't sound like this is a temporary feature as much as they're testing it to see if it works and if it does they'll keep it.
https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/introducing-premium-friends-a-word-from-our-producer
This is the real-life version of the light tank already in the game. The Char 2C tank will be the new behemoth in the upcoming DLC.
If the new DLC works as it did in previous DICE/EA games, it will only be accessible in the new maps. And I'm about 100% sure this will be a standalone behemoth. It'd be way OP if the losing team could combine two behemoths.
See https://www.battlefield.com/games/battlefield-1/they-shall-not-pass for more info on the DLC.
EDIT: Grammar.
Dice is beta testing a competetive mode for battlefield 1 now : Incursions
I got a beta invite but I didn't even give enough of a fuck to accept it
They could've accommodated everyone by sticking with the ribbons/medals system of previous BF games and let us complete each one at our own leisure. This whole weeklong medal rotation is a rat-race.
I mean shit, look at how the devs introduced these changes to medals:
>This goes hand in hand with the philosophy of choice in Battlefield 1. To find something that caters to your play style at any given moment, you are free to choose which Medal you’re currently most interested in tracking. You can only track one Medal at the time, but if you change game mode or role you can switch focus and go for another Medal. Your progression will be kept as long as the weekly reset hasn’t happened yet.
Philosophy of choice? What a joke. They even contradict their own bogus freedom philosophy in that paragraph a couple times, mentioning the restrictions of the feature. It all seems like some suits at EA are trying to alter our playing patterns for their own benefit, rather than making informed decisions in game design to enhance the product for players.
I can only find it in Spanish, I don't know if it has been translated into English, but this book is so good and has a lot of cool details about WW1. The author has written a few more, too. https://www.amazon.com/estaba-libro-primera-guerra-mundial/dp/8416622590/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=eso+no+estaba+en+mi+libro+de+la+primera+guerra+mundial&qid=1634327571&s=audible&sr=1-1-catcorr
But... That is what a pilot is called...
Like not even a joke..
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/flyboy
http://www.dictionary.com/browse/flyboy
Now the exact time the word came into use is hard to say. Merriam lists it 1937 but I've seen other places listing it as a WW1 slang.
Either way.....
On PC, all scoped scout rifles have glint:
>Marksman and Patrol scopes now have scope glints. Considering that these scopes provide sufficient magnifying power for ranged engagements, adding glints provides Scout opponents a better chance to survive the encounter.

That's the link to the older patches for the Nivelle Nights map.
The patch notes ALWAYS link to

Which itself redirects to the most recent ones once they are up
Go to https://www.battlefield.com/companion/career and login After that you can go to "View Emblems" and create your emblem. BF4 emblems are there too .. due to the change of code emblems cannot be imported on this site. Perhaps it is possible to do at BF4 Battlelog and then to choose it there. Have not tested it yet.
Because they haven't revealed the details of it... https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/battlefield-1-play-first-trial-details "There’s also a taste of the singleplayer campaign, with the missions Storm of Steel and Through Mud and Blood."
He would be Austro-Hungarian, and I can't be sure, but I'm willing to bet he's Italian, the people he's shooting sure don't look Italian.

It's going to work just like past BFs. Digital Deluxe means you get the base game itself plus some extras that you can use at level zero instead of having to unlock them like regular folks:
• Early Access on October 18th
• Hellfighter Pack
• Red Baron Pack
• Lawrence of Arabia Pack
• 5x Battlepacks
Premium is the subscription to the actual DLC/expansion packs. DICE has not released any useful info about the nature of the DLC (and probably won't until much later this year).

I agree but..What we’ve got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can’t reach. So you get what we had here last week. Which is the way he wants it. Well he gets it. And I don’t like it anymore than you men. So if they shot the flares it would be some help. I know you're looking to buy on PSN, but hear me out...
If you look at the Ultimate Edition on the Origin store, it compares the 3 main versions of the game the Original, Deluxe, and Ultimate.
Go here -> https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/buy/battlefield-1/pc-download/base-game/ultimate-edition
Then scroll down a bit to see the comparison.
Ultimate Edition = Deluxe + Premium
Deluxe Edition = Standard + Early Access + Visual Bonuses
Standard Edition = Game
Hope this helps!
Posted previously but if you haven't seen 37 Days yet - watch it. Great 3 part drama on the lead up to war - https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x208kyw
It was literally 37 days from Archduke Ferdinand's assassination to the shells falling on Sarajevo.
So if it happened today, you could be in a trench by the end of May...
Patch notes should be up in a few minutes.
https://www.battlefield.com/news/update-notes/in-the-name-of-the-tsar-update
Top right, drop down menu "Update Notes" new one should be: "October Update"
No weapon changes
No lighting fix or revert until fix is ready
New guns not available with Lupkow Pass, even if the official BF site says that the new weaponry + Ilya bomber would be available.
Attack Plane still king of the sky
Tank Hunter Plane still double-triple hitting hitboxes
Chamond still king of tanks
No actual RSP improvements
Tl;dr: disappointment, but I guess I don't have the right to be grumpy after trying to defend the game up until now. I get that a monthly update schedule is probably a bitch, but it's just... lacking. No changes for months.
Here's a pro tip, if you want special rules for a server, buy your own.
These people with 300ms ping can't help it, they might live so rural in the middle of Australia with only a 1.5mpbs connection and when they are lucky they get 200ms ping to a Sydney server. They have paid for the game so they are allowed to play it however they see fit.
If you want to be special snowflake you can pay extra for your own server, here's a link
Have fun.
https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/rent-a-server-for-battlefield-1
https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/battlefield-1-operations-mode
First sentence under the first picture: "Operations offer epic journeys across several maps based upon real battles of World War I. We wanted to offer a large and epic experience with a focus on teamplay and frontline combat."
Mic drop.
go to https://www.battlefield.com/companion/career, login with your EA account. Then click on one of your profiles (BF4 or BF1 shouldn't matter) and go to "view emblems" (option should appear above your dog tags). Select your emblem and click on the little arrow below it. This generates a sharing link that you can copy and send to others who can then add this emblem to their gallery.
Edit: You can also use the companion app
"Equipping a bayonet to your primary weapon also negatively affects the recoil of your weapon, and how quickly you can raise your weapon to a fire-ready position after a sprint."
https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/melee-combat-of-battlefield-1
Something like this? Unless it is crazy huge. https://www.cloudflare.com/ddos/
Last month Akamai absorbed a 600 Gbps attack against this guy https://krebsonsecurity.com/2016/09/krebsonsecurity-hit-with-record-ddos/
New tools are coming online but probably dip too heavily into profit margins for ol EA.
Maybe this is what you should be doing for your career. Just a thought.
Edit: I'm a graphic designer and I remember doing stuff like this for fun. The fact this us what you do in your free time might be a clue.
This broke for me too. As a workaround, set the game to Windowed mode and use Borderless Gaming: https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming/releases
This still needs to be fixed, though.. :(
september - in the name of the tsar was released bringing 6 new maps 2 new spawnable vehicles and 11 new weapons - fun fact they broke the net code what took 2 weeks to fix.
oct - operation campaign update removed 40 players operations and nivelle nights was free to all bf1 players. - fun fact dice broke the icon opacity so teams were shooting each other for a mouth until it was fixed.
nov - operation campaign reward system was added what rewarded players who complete selected maps with operation battlepacks, and the icon opacity bug was fixed oh and Suez was added to the frontline game mode + a lot of bug fix - fun fact dice "buffed" tanks so all shells would always ricochet making tanks/rocket guns/field guns impossible to damage them!
dec - turning tides part 1 what brought us 6 new weapons 1 new elite class and two maps and 8 new Specializations - fun fact dice broke shotguns again making so they sometimes did no damage at all again...
jan - turning tides part 2 what added two maps, ttk 2.0, players can now change vehicles type by the vehicle icon without needing a vehicle ready to spawn - fun fact dice broke their servers so players kept losing connection
feb - apocalypse was released and bought us air assault with two maps and 3 maps for the normal game modes, 6 new weapons, and the AA rocket gun - fun fact there was meant to be a spotting pigeon in this dlc but neebs gaming ate it :'( oh and dice broke the game because earning any points would freeze the game for a sec.
march - bug fixes...
april - MORE BUG FIXES! YAY
may - weapon crate update brought us the annihilator trench + 2 new melee weapons and 8 weapon variants for weapons that previously only had one and scout glint changes what added glint to all marksmen variants and a rainbow glint to rifles what has a sweetspot if you are in it sweetspot range and alot more: https://www.battlefield.com/en-gb/news/update-notes/weapons-crate-update
The grappling hook will just be a melee weapon I believe > 2 new melee weapons: The new Naval Cutlass and Grappling Hook melee weapons are perfect for close and personal fights.
Source: https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/all-you-need-to-know-turning-tides-release
That's definitely a fair point.
I just saw a bunch of comments and posts popping up talking about the next one so I figured I'd show what I was working on as it was relevant to those discussions.
I'm still excited to see what the rest of BF1's DLC offers. Loving it still.
Look at my landing page as more of a conceptual page on how to make their landing pages more interesting when compared to what they currently use here: https://www.battlefield.com/games/battlefield-1.
I've seen a few comments/posts popping up around the Battlefield subreddits about the next Battlefield game and what it might be. WW2 would be the next logical step and a few months ago I started putting together a conceptual landing page for it. A handful of users suggested I crosspost it here, so here it is!
The main goal was to make their landing pages a bit more interesting than the one they used for BF1.
I have credited all the artists that I used works from in the footer as well. Be sure to check out their pages! They all have some seriously awesome work.
I must also note that I tried to make it fully responsive but certain things I just haven't dedicated enough time to yet in order to fix like the class modals.
i think its a bug that you already have this dogtag.
this mission is running till 23july and the dogtag will be rewarded on 31 july.
source: https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/join-the-summer-missions
Specifically on your points:
They added killtrades meaning if you fire the killing bullet but then get killed it will still travel to kill the enemy.
There was a netcode "fix" and one problem from that has been bullets bot registering so you probably arent getting as many kills and are dying more.
They list new events under the calendar tab on the Battlefield website.
https://www.battlefield.com/calendar
All the rewards are given after Battlefest is over. Last time it was about a week after.
It would be nice if DICE gave us way to track our progress for these missions.
What did they change? I don't see anything here about a cavalry nerf, other than "You should no longer get killed by cavalry using a saber from multiple meters away".
Unless DICE snuck something under the table, a la Automatico Storm.
The netcode in this game is amazing. I play with 180ms ping on a good day and it is far better than BF4. You still have bullshit deaths, yeah, but they happen so much less now. Do not feel too shy to go into out of region servers, especially if you do not have any "region" servers near you to speak of. As long as you do not go to Asia and Australia, you should be fine.
My stats in BF4:
Here is BF1's:
https://battlefieldtracker.com/bf1/profile/psn/goh13
Conclusion: Either I got suddenly better after leaving BF4 for a year and then buying BF1 or the netcode is working flawlessly.
way to actually answer the question and accuse me of not playing the objective immediately like a child.
ive been playing battlefield since 1942 i know how to play the game.
now want to actually answer the question?
Edit: also my top class is support so fuck right off. https://www.battlefield.com/companion/career/352485942/bf1
Edit: in bc3 also http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/Gibby%20Giblets/stats/188206876/xbox360/
That is incorrect. There are XP boosts, they are just rare.
"Some packs may also include an additional melee puzzle piece or an XP boost." See https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/how-we-reworked-battlepacks-for-battlefield-1
> You'll be able to get an exclusive Trench Raider Dog Tag just for launching the game with the Play First Trial during that time – and if you play all ten hours before October 20, you’ll have a Battlepack waiting for you in the full game.
Source: https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/battlefield-1-play-first-trial-details
Isn't it $110 for the full game anyways? $60 for the game then $50 for Premium might as well get swag for $40 more.
I used USD prices. I don't know how close they are to yours.
Edit: downvote all you want but to play the full game, you have to buy premium. Same goes for CoD. It's why I stopped playing them.
The wording from DICE hasn't been that specific anywhere I've seen. Lots of people like to read it in certain ways, and make declarations with a certainty that they can't back up with citations.
The only thing certain, as far as I'm aware, as that there will be some form of customisation that was not available in the Alpha/Beta. There was a "Modify Weapon" button on the class screen that only went to a landing page in the Beta, and the Battlefield official site says: >That's why Battlefield 1 utilizes pre-set Loadouts for each weapon - you're still able to customize your weapons to make sure they work with your playstyle, but in a more focused way.
Source, under Weapons Q&A
Whether that means full attachment customisation, optics- and cosmetic-only customisation, or purely cosmetic weapon skins, I can't say.
On the official Battlefield site, one of the four revealed map's (Monte Grappa) description states fighting between Italian and Austria-Hungarian troops.
I've posted it before, but maybe it comes in handy for the people who missed it. I've been using this SuperF4 for over a year now because i had a game that also didn't want to quit. Every now and then in BF1 it will even hang longer than needed when you use Alt F4, with that tool you press Ctrl Alt F4 and it shuts down within a second. The faster you can get back in afterwards.
Also OP use this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.erdatsai.morsecodeagent
Select the Audio option and place the settings on 20 wpm and the other two on auto. Make sure to A Beginning on Suez since there's the least background noise so the app can detect it easier.
Here's an example of how it looks like when you're doing it (message is from the begenning dogtag). Hope it helps. It will take you less than 2 minutes to get the infiltrator code, not even kidding.
You're in luck - the premium pass just went on sale for 7.5 euro on origin, which is a real steal if you ask me https://www.origin.com/bel/en-us/store/battlefield/battlefield-1/addon/battlefield-1-premium-pass
Yea, what you can do is purchase the Revolution Edition, then try it out and if you don't like it, you can request a refund. I believe you have to request a refund within 7 days of purchase and 24 hours of your first time launching the game. It's not a ton of time, but it should be enough for you to see how it runs on your computer and if you like it.
Edit: There's actually a 10-hour trial that you can do first. It doesn't show up for the Revolution bundle, but you can see it for the standard edition here.
>possible new Battlefront game.
Wat it's confirmed already
They are two different games. Do you want WW1 or Star Wars?
on PC i don't even bother to edit or do something with video, i just play and use this free software <strong>FLDIGI</strong>, it's on Android too, you can download it <strong>here</strong>, it's for radio amateurs
Not sure how well it will run since you are below minimum specs. But I'd just like to mention that BF1 has the "great game guarantee" on Origin, meaning you can refund it within 24 hours after you have first started it. More infos here:
>will I have to wait till the 21st
Why do you think it's called early access? If you read the version descriptions it tells you quite clearly when you can start playing.
It took 30 seconds and 1 click to find that information.
Origin also has the "Great Game Guarantee". You can buy the full game and play it for up to 24 hours before returning it for a fully refund.
If you still need this, I have made an alternative version that uses notification(you need the IFTTT app installed on iOS or Android) instead of phone call. Then you can probably use an annoying alarm for any notification from that app. https://ifttt.com/recipes/458924-bf1-access-code-email-notification
Weapon unlock progress can be reviewed in the customize soldier menu, both in game and at the main menu. Simply highlight the weapon you want to check the progress on and it will show you the relevant assignments and how close you are to completing them.
Log in here for emblem creator/editor: https://www.battlefield.com/companion
There are also websites that have hundreds of premade emblems that you can import to your profile via the companion app.
You can go to the companion and buy vehicle variants (tanks, planes, ships) like the famous mortar truck:
https://www.battlefield.com/companion
I wasn't able to buy them in game, only at the website.
Ok! The calendar still only shows the stage that was between August 28 - September 4. https://www.battlefield.com/calendar I really hope there will be at least one more stage of Weekly Rewards because I missed Stage 1 and 2. :(
There was also the disguised Lee-Enfield No. 4. Noticed all those things, but the way everything was used seemed ridiculous. It's okay, I figured, for an exaggerated trailer featuring Operation Market Garden.
But then the Battlefield website revealed that this isn't late-war. This is the Battle of France in 1940: https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/ww2-as-you-have-never-seen-it-before-battlefield-5
Seriously? None of the weapons (except the Bren) and vehicles in the trailer fit that atmosphere. For the one second we see the German troops, they are all wearing late-war uniforms. The real uniforms that some of the British characters' outfits are very loosely inspired by were all late war. What's the point of Dice saying they want to take us to battles and scenarios we haven't seen before, if they don't actually make it possible to distinguish the fall of France in 1940 from a steampunk Michael Bay Market Garden?
I checked the Battlefield site and that was a multiplayer trailer. I'm thinking that they wanted to put together a trailer that would capture all the new elements in one go, and nobody in marketing thought to speak up and point out that it was a jumbled mess.
>Increased the damage of stationary AA guns in the single player War Stories, improving the chances for players to earn the “Airborne Cannons” codex entry.
From the release notes of the latest update, hence why so many people are doing it now.
It still took me about an hour, but it doesn't feel impossible anymore.
Yeah, they got rid of 40 player Operations a while back to avoid splitting the player base. Shock Operations, which were recently announced, is a separate mode however, and is a bit smaller, featuring only one map apiece and 40 players instead of 64.
> Participate in these Operations and your end-of-round score will be applied toward the progress of unlocking an Operations Battlepack. These may contain puzzle pieces for unique melee weapons like the Russian Award Knife and French Butcher Knife that you won’t find in regular Battlepacks. You are also more likely to find rare Weapon Skins and Vehicle Skins in the Operations Battlepacks.

wow you last played on my birthday LOL
But yeah, so many updates have happened. I suppose the biggest thing you should be aware of are the specializations/perks. https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/introducing-specializations-in-battlefield-1
"Based on continuous feedback from our community and an ongoing effort to ensure successful matchmaking for Operations servers we have disabled the 40-player option."

Just to point out, your origin avatar is no longer used for BF1 emblems. Only BF1 emblems show on highlights and your emblems.
You can make/check your emblems here https://www.battlefield.com/companion
You can get the xp boosts and the dog tags but not the special knife and the "secret" reward. They already announce repeats of some of the summer missions though! you can check them here(when they add them of course): https://www.battlefield.com/calendar
According to the battlefield calendar, the next two missions will be called "Defend the Frontlines" and "Next Frontier", and it says they'll be based on "different game modes" - I think it's safe to assume the next tag will be based on Frontlines, but I don't know about the third

> In-Game Improvements and Tweaks to Operations
> Planning for our next releases, we’ve heard you loud and clear. We still have some work to do to make the game as frictionless as possible. We’re dedicating the May Update to revisions that will improve your quality of life in Battlefield 1.
> This includes streamlining the flow into matches (especially Operations) and improving many gameplay grievances that will hopefully make the action feel more balanced and fair. The development team is also working on a feature update to the Battlefield 1 Rent-a-Server Program which we hope to release soon.
As someone who bought the premium for BF3, BF4 and BF1 as it's in the end is a net gain/loss of rougly $0 if you know you will buy all DLC, it's kinda hard to set your mind into not knowing what it is.
Knowing that premium gets 2 weeks early access stands right infront of the premium site https://www.battlefield.com/games/battlefield-1/premium
> Two-Week Early Access to Unreleased Expansion Packs
It's right in the middle of the screen on the site.
Battlefield 1 was announced with a DLC to be released later with it and able to buy. It was not announced by having to buy premium to get the DLC. I have to say that is yourself that is tricking you on that part. It's also been standard since I started playing Battlefield (3). Somehow I knew it when I was new, so... I cannot say more about that.
How is Dice trying to force premium? I remmeber when I bought the game, I had to really search to find the premium option when buying it.
The DLC is in the store, so finding it is easy. If it wasn't there before, it was most likley due to it not been released. Nothing odd about that.
The Premium page on the BF1 website was recently updated to include the names and some art and descriptions of the next 3 DLC. In the Name of the Tsar will focus on the Eastern Front, Turning Tides will focus on amphibious assaults, and the last one Apocalypse is vague but sounds like it'll either focus on "infamous" battles of the war(eg. the Somme or Ypres) or some kind of fictional scenario.
4 new maps, 2 new operations (2 maps each), a new game mode called Frontlines, a new elite class, a new faction (the French), many new weapons (both guns and melee), new vehicles, new behemoth.
I'm not sure how much it costs, and the cost changes depending on your location, but it should be around $15 by itself. More info can be found on their website. There are also a few testing servers online with parts of the new dlc (including 2 of the new maps so far) that you can likely find footage of on youtube.
Sure man, this is my current emblem
I try to give people a chuckle with my emblems
