That's not true. A lot is, but a lot is also sequestered in the soil. Living trees are a huge biological reservoir of carbon, and we've been deforesting like motherfuckers around the world for the past 150+ years.
Growing trees is probably the easiest thing you can do to fight climate change.

I don’t care about the political theories of fascists, they’re fucking idiots and liars. It’s a red flag that your political theory is based on theirs.

I think you in particular should read this specific book
I agree. Writing has likely been invented many times.
You may be interested in the new book, "The Dawn of Everything" if you have not already heard of it. It's a new, very scientific look at how forms of civilization are likely much, much older than we think, and that they came and went, and what we have thought of as aimless, roving hunter-gatherer tribes likely had bands of confederation with others etc. Very cool, well-researched book.
English language is always evolving and being simplified through use. "Whom" is a word that the majority won't use as it's awkward in comparison to using "who". So it phases out. No point in complicating an already complicated language.
>Some people do still follow these rules but there are many more who never use whom at all. Common practice in current English is to use who in all contexts.

Drug addiction and the ills it causes still exists in places where drug interdiction has driven the supply to zero. Vancouver has in the past been so successful in prohibition that authorities cannot find opiates of abuse on the streets, yet heroin addicts were still everywhere.
