The responses from employees on the mini-microsoft blog are an interesting read on how this is being interpreted within.
>Finally, you have no way of slaying your immortal enemy, religion.
What? Religion is, in most senses, a peaceful belief by individuals that has no bearing on others. There are many anarcho-capitalists that are religious. Jeff Tucker, Robert Murphy, Tom Woods, this blogger here, myself, and so forth.
And you have articles like this.
As a Christian and an anarcho-capitalist, I see no contradiction between the two. I also believe that I accept Christ as a leader, not a "ruler" in the common sense, as my personal conception of Hell (and I could be wrong, but I think the "lake of fire" is a separate punishment for actual aggression against God) is that it is just "not Heaven", and thus "nothingness" - Heaven being the private property of God (everything He created and did not give Man dominion over). So, in essence, the punishment of Hell is basically, "if you don't follow my rules, you aren't allowed on the premises".
The abuse of religion through religiously-motivated law that is encouraged by the concept of a state that plans out society is not religion itself. In many instances, it is a push back against an attempt by others to use the state to minimize religion or even eliminate it. It's basically a Hegelian dialectic without the synthesis.
>All it takes is one bad religion to destroy an an-cap society.
I assume you mean one that accepts "conversion by the sword". That belief is an utterly anachronistic fallacy exploded by religious believers many centuries ago, and is not even prevalent in mainstream Islam, despite its scripture having the most that could be interpreted as a call to such a belief.

Wow. How incredibly counter-productive of her. Based on her comments it seems that she indeed has trouble with spelling (your/you're, know/now, etc) and language structure. Her About Me on her blogger page is likewise awkwardly written.
The way I read the review the story itself seemed to get a glowing treatment, but she seems to demand that everyone recognize her self-perceived complete mastery of the English language.
I remember thinking no one could learn me anything when I was about thirteen years old. I'm glad I grew out of it by fourteen.

She is a fucked up in the head mormon. I hate this person so much for thinking her brainwashed narcissism is acceptable to broadcast across the internet.
I was annoyed when I read Professor Kahn's initial entry yesterday morning (he's edited it partially since the original publication). The op-ed was devoid of any empirical data. I am also pretty confident that Professor Kahn did not submit any requests for data because I work at the UCLA Fund, which raises annual gifts for departments and entities around campus, and none of us heard from him. Our student giving committee, whose mission is to build/contribute to the culture of philanthropy amongst our undergraduate students, includes FIVE transfer students, several of whom are in their first year at UCLA. (Hello to the SGC - we love you!) We would have told Professor Kahn that transfer students (current and graduated) support UCLA at roughly the same rate as those who matriculated as freshmen.
If anything, we should be talking about how to ensure that ALL of our students, regardless of when they matriculate, have the best possible experience at UCLA. That includes their in-class experiences, the way we provide them with customer service (ranging from housing, the registrar, parking and transportation, and so forth), and making sure that every single student has at least one staff or faculty member who gives a (damn) about them. I don't work with students on a daily basis, unfortunately, but I do know several from various committees I serve on and I would jump in front of a bus for them.
And finally, I think it is interesting that Professor Kahn says he wants to stimulate debate. How ironic that the mode he chose to generate national debate - the Christian Science Monitor - does not accept comments. Luckily, Professor Kahn has posted his original entry on his personal blog and you can comment here: http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=15200437&postID=6426064199414438171&isPopup=true

It's always good to carry around a sketchpad with you if you're any way into drawing but I've never heard of it being utilized this particular (and very interesting) way before.
I'd recommend you start a blog over on blogger or Tumblr (or you could always do what I do and use both) and upload these pics any chance you can get. First of all, it'll give you that extra push to keep going with this and, secondly, it'll allow you to get your work out to a wider audience.
Keep it up and the very best of luck to you!

Might be a sunken city. There's tons of them all over the world, though. Even if Atlantis was a real city....definitely not this one.
Also, it seems like the "expedition" that took place in this article was a plan to scam investors. What I think at least.
"Zelitsky was also the president of the Advanced Digital Communications, a company that was supposed to be joint partners with the Cuban government to salvage archeological treasures from the waters off the Caribbean island. She was apparently more skilled at running a scam to lure investors to retrieve artifacts from the site than in doing any real archaeology. Following the initial announcement and the widely publicized, grainy photographs of rectangular shapes the whole discovery seemed to have been completely shut down. The last mention of Zelitsky was her arrest for financial irregularities in Mexico, where it is believed she was extradited to Toronto."
Good news: we aren't the only ones eager to help. I found the blog of the photographer, Rahmat Gul, who wrote that story and it seems he is willing to get money to the family in question. Follow the happenings in the comments page of one of the photos he took at the factory.
As always, determine the credibility of the efforts for yourself.
I would question the credibility of that article's author then, seeing as how Google has done web hosting in many forms for many years (Google Sites, Blogger, Google Project Hosting, et cetera).

I suggest using Blogger. I used it for my (crappy) blog on movie+book reviews/food recipes. It's pretty simple and there are guides to help you out in posting. I found it to be very new user friendly.
I personally use http://www.archive.org/ to host my podcasts and http://www.blogger.com/ as a platform for their websites. It's all pretty easy to set up, totally free, and, when combined with Feedburner, gives you a nice RSS feed that'll easily get accepted to iTunes.
Good luck, and let me know if you need any clarification/further help.

I'm fascinated by the hate some radical feminists have for trans people. Google will give you a blogs centred only around hating on trans people in ways I have only seen it from more radical religious corners.
I have yet to find out WHY exactly they specifically don't like trans. The posts usually have a few things in common: female, radical neo-feminist, butch and lesbian. female, radical neo-feminist, butch and lesbian.
Lamenting the patriarchal society's faults and generally supporting the idea of putting the male population in chains, these few but loud bloggers can never quite say why exactly they don't like trans people. It's always anecdotes which sound the most obscure thing, or simple insulting a person for being trans.
I always wonder why they hate certain trans groups. Maybe they hate transmen because transmen are butcher than they are. Kinda..the ultimate in butch: an actual male. (the odd butch lesbians can get very bitchy when somebody outbutches them...I don't know why, I haven't figured this one out either). Also I've hear the term 'copping out' of being a woman, and going to the 'winner team' for an easier ride and thereby abandoning the feminist's war against male oppressors.
And maybe they hate transwomen because they are men..uh..spying? I honestly don't know what could possibly be the reason, but I've heard horrible things said about transwomen, usually something about them being male predators in disguise and out to flash their ugly penises and rape innocent minds and other parts.
I will never understand why somebody can't just live and let live. Why make other people's lives purposefully more difficult when they are not hurting anybody?
What most people are suggesting here is more complicated than what you need.
I have a website. I bought the domain name through Google. GoDaddy offers you things that allow you to host your website, but by the sounds of it, it is only going to be one page, so it will be a waste of money. I suggest that they use Blogger. It's very easy to create a blog on Blogger with a template for the website. The next thing you need to do is just create one post with the information you want in it. Setting up your blog to point to your newly created domain name is easy if you've bought it through Google (they're owned by the same people).
As far as SEO goes - this is not going to push you to number 1 in the rankings (for any search terms), it is unlikely to generate visits to the site and you won't make any more money. I strongly suggest you say to your engineer friends that creating a new website is a complete waste of time and money if it is only going to be one page. Put the new page on the existing website. SEO is all about linking. If nothing links to your new page, then it won't get any traction in the search engine and linking to your other pages is worthless.
SEO is hard and that is why professionals can get away with charging lots of money for their skills.
BTW this is a great example of Bluerocking - spinning facts and getting them "slightly" wrong:
> Kirk Sorensen, Chief Thorium Fantasist. He is not a nuke engineer or scientist - he is a mechanical engineer who worked in the aerospace industry on launch vehicle design. Bizarrely, he jumped from that to become 'Chief Nuclear Technologist' for an engineering company - and left after barely a year. It's almost as though someone wanted to manufacture some credibility for Sorensen. He's currently part time at school studying an MS in Nuclear Engineering.
> B.S., Mechanical Engineering, Utah State University, June 1998. Minor in mathematics. M.S., Aerospace Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, December 1999. Specialized in multidisciplinary optimization of launch vehicles and hypersonic aerothermodynamics. Currently part-time student in Nuclear Engineering M.S. program at University of Tennessee-Knoxville, completed courses in radiation protection, radiation shielding, reactor design, neutronics modeling, and statistics. (27 of 30 credits needed for graduation, currently 3.88 GPA)
Concerning his deployment record, he got hired out from NASA by TeledyneBrown - a company which does nuclear engineering contracting as their Chief Nuclear Technologist. He eventually resigned from this position to found his own company developing LFTRs, while having his former employer as one of the major investors in his new enterprise.

Just a note on PPIs. They do a shitty number on the parietal cells of your stomach lining which can prevent you from accessing the B12 in your food (no matter how much animal protein you get, the B12 won't work if there is no "intrinsic factor" being produced by your parietal cells to add a very necessary molecule to the B12 in your food in order to make it bioavailable).
If I were you, I'd buy a bottle of methylcobalamin B12 (already has that molecule attached" and see what it feels like to have 2000 mcg of that a day. If you find yourself getting a feeling of extraordinary well-being, that means you are finally accessing B12 you haven't been able to do for a hile and that you're deficient. Best if you get a blood test and find out how low you are. Ask for your test results, the stated normal range on the lab tests is WAY too low, like 200 or 220. By that time you already have nerve damage. It should be around 550 like it is in Japan.
Edit: More B12 info with references
Ideally, your blood level of B12 should be between 800-1100 mcg.

A few years ago I saw a video of a Russian Nazi group killing 2 guys, I think because they were immigrants. It was gruesome.. First guy had his head cut off by a small knife, horrible sounds as he's trying to breathe. The second guy ended up being shot in the head, I guess the Nazi couldn't go through the cutting again.. Traumatizing.
I think this is worse than the 4 guys 1 hammer video, for anyone who's seen it, because there are probably more Nazi factions still doing this. Sickening really.

Short answer: it depends on your flavor of Buddhism. If you follow Soto zen (Dogen), then reincarnation does not come into play. Tibetan Buddhism on the other hand puts a lot of stock in it.

French is still a colonial power. So while the individual act of beheading someone over a cartoon is unjustified. In the greater context of French colonialism and its role in creating the current climate, it was understandable.
What France did to the Arab world was completely and absolutely horrific, and even Arab Jews were victims of French colonialism and racism. It depends on what your intentions and objectives are with the website. Questions I start with are below
All of these are factors in considering hosting. If you want to start with a simple site to provide information with a basic "contact us" page I suggest skipping hosting and creating a Blogger site. If you are building an application then I would suggest Amazon's AWS.

Absolutely! At the moment I'm walking Shawshank Redemption, one of my favorite movies of all time. (I've a list of fave films here if you're interested in discussing 'em.) TV wise, I've liked House, Mad Men, Sopranos, Family Guy, and Suits - more recent stuff since I didn't get into TV series until recently.
EDIT: I think Shawshank Redemption could make for a slam-dunk case against the death penalty.

I work in the software industry. I haven't seen the Asics offerings yet. But, it seems like almost every site I've looked at is terrible. I'm currently using Garmin Connect. I've previously used the Nikeplus site, and also slowgeek.com. Here are some comments I wrote about the quality of graphs on these sites:
Slowgeek is the only one that gets the math right and produces usable graphs. Nike has nice features where you can compare runs, overlay graphs etc. It would all be OK if their graphs weren't flat wrong in many cases. Garmin Connect has mostly useless graphs as well, and lacks any social networking. Runkeeper, etc. seem OK, but none of them make it easy to get your data in there automaticly, like connect does.
I feel like if someone spent a little dev resources on making a site that was easy to get data into, had correct graphs with useful features (overlay graphs to compare runs, would point out "best pace so far" etc., had decent social networking (challenge other runners, broadcast goals, find users in your area that run similar routes), they could get every runner to use the site.
I use blogspot, though it's mostly for day-to-day stress writing, not real writing. Occasionally I post things that are higher quality, real stories. (Or sometimes poetry!) I use it to keep me writing, no matter what it is. It's worked well for me, you might as well give it a shot.
I do highly recommend blogspot/blogger. The format is pretty good in my opinion- it does what it's supposed to do and looks good.

I would suggest to setup a blog with either Blogger or Wordpress.
Using either of those two sites you are done in like five minutes and can start using them like a diary. Also you can get comments and interact with your readers. If you want to go the extra step and have a webserver you can set up your own wordpress blog.

My grandmother took this fairly widely circulated picture of the smoke plume thrown up after flight 93 crashed in Shanksville, PA. It has been aggressively scrutinized by this guy. Most of the language teachers and many culture teachers have committed to continue to serve, and we are confident that more teachers will come.
However we need your help. As you knew somebody is organizing an impeach movement again in July 17th. 这次弹劾不光是要弹劾董事,而且还要remove the newly elected admin and PTA team.
Proxy vote is accepted, see attached proxy vote template. After you print it and fill it out, you can give it to your designated person. Or if you want you can simply scan or take a picture of the filled out form and then send the file to .

Both will create a super simple website for you. Both have free templates. And both will allow you to use your own domain name for a nominal fee.

I even called them up and asked, "how many calls are you getting about the new interface?" The answer was, "a lot". My second question, "Have any of them been good?" the answer, "Honestly no... I'll put you down on the 'please change back' list"
I second Robb Wolf, his writing style is very humorous at times and informative all the time.
Also, it's going to be important to listen to your body and pay attention to your performance. If you start feeling less than your peak, try playing around with the macronutrient content of your diet. If you want professional help, you could talk to my RD friend (Amy Kubal) at http://www.blogger.com/profile/02712308184562783045
She's been recommended by Robb Wolf, she's part of the Whole9 team and she's working with athletes across the country, including some Olympic Hopefuls. I keep bugging her to write a book, and would have recommended hers if she had one.

"It must be impossible because so many people have tried and failed" is a logical fallacy. "It's not in the cards because so many people have tried and failed" is an educated guess based on evidence.
Shedskin does whole-program analysis of the flow graph and scales terribly. See: http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=14063458&postID=6287384210293472828
This is not surprising. Shedskin relies on whole-program analysis using two well-known algorithms (Cartesian Product Analysis and Iterative Flow Analysis). The fatal weakness of these algorithms has always been scalability, flexibility, and fragility. They produce neat results on small (hundreds of LOC) benchmarks, but compile-time increases exponentially beyond that. They also prevent separate compilation, dynamic code loading, etc. The technology is well understood, but Shedskin doesn't get rid of any of the limitations that prevent its use in practical scenarios: http://www.cs.ucsb.edu/~urs/oocsb/papers/oopsla95-tf.pdf
LuaJIT is definitely an impressive achievement, but then again Lua has much simpler semantics than Python, particularly in the crucial area of how it handles lexical variables. The way Python and Ruby reify the activation stack, it makes it very difficult to apply traditional optimizations without going through heroics.
The page itself was made with Blogger, Google's blog site/software, which-- as a total non-web-designer-- I love. Everything about it is simple and effective, and they allow tons of room for third-party apps and your own code, if you're able. (I'm not.) The streaming audio was done through my SoundCloud accounts. SoundCloud is the best internet music community/service that I've found yet, it's really, really well-made.
Of course, the music itself wasn't as quick to make, and that's the really important part. But that's why I'm so happy with the user-friendliness of Blogger. (Hey, Google, how about a sponsorship??)
Ah, sorry. Free is going to be a little trickier, for what you're looking for, at the user-friendliness level you're looking for. Is Blogger or Google Sites out of the question?
