For Android users who play both NA and JP:
Download the Awesome Icons app, it will allow you to create custom shortcuts for FGO as well as give the shortcuts different names.
It's a bit of work cause you have to do it for each app but I use Awesome Icons. Lets me use the pixel launcher and use the icons I want.
Awesome Icons makes it pretty easy...I mean, you'll have to extract them to your internal storage, and use the app to manually set the images (it defaults to showing you icon pack icons, but the last option is to chose from the gallery) ...but its the quickest and easiest way to do so.
So glad someone finally asked me this. 😁
Used this app that lets you make shortcuts with custom icons. You can use icon pack icons or gallery images. In my case, it's the Lollipop Theme icon pack.
Just figured this out and honestly, the phone icon was the greatest reason I used Nova. lol
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Awesome Icons, allows you to apply Icon Packs to GNL without root. However it doesn't work in the app drawer, just home screens.
yes it is.
use awesome icons to apply custom icons to your apps on the stock launcher.
couple drawbacks though.
Theres Awesome Icons that you can use. Here's the steps for applying:
1-Open the app.
2-Scroll down on the list to the application you want to add.
3-Pick the icon you want to add.
4-Click "OK" on the page that opens.
5-Then click "Add"
And done! Please note that the animations will no longer work. There might be some other way to do this but this is the way I know.
Old as sin, but custom icons on any launcher without root with Awesome icons:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts&hl=en
Works by making custom widgets to launch any app, so you have to place each widget individually.
Download whatever icon packs you want. Awesome Icon app will let you change the icon graphic for anything on your screen one by one but its really easy. Will not work on the app drawer.
No root needed
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts&hl=en
Just use Awesome Icons. It's a bit more tedious than switching icons on Nova or the like, but it works with any 3rd party launcher as well as stock.
Still doesn't work. I tried other apps, but none really work either.
Here is an app called Awesome Icons, and if you don't care about having a name underneath the icon, then this works. But 8.1 is being sent out, so everything will probably break again.
from my post above.
>yes it is.

This app called "Awesome Icons" will let you put widget/shortcuts using custom app icons from icon packs onto your home screen. They can't go ino folders and they don't work in your app drawer but it lets me keep GNL and use different icons for a minimal home screen
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
If you don't want to use another launcher you could also use Awesome Icon https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
It's a little more tedious as you have to use that application to place the icon shortcuts but they make it pretty easy.
I believe Awesome Icons will let you use icon packs from the Play Store with One UI. I think they only show up on your home screens too. I plan on trying them with One UI when I get my S10+. But not sure how good of an app it is
You don't necessarily need a separate launcher. Awesome Icons does the job with the default launcher.
That said, it's a bit of an ugly UI and app icon itself. There are better implementations in other launchers, but the app above does get the job done.
AwesomeIcons is an app that lets you spawn app shortcuts with any icon you have downloaded. This is my preferred band-aid solution for replacing individual ugly icons *while using the default launcher
You may use an application similar to the one below but it doesn't work with Android 8.0 so right now until it's updated I think your only option is a different launcher
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Here are two recent home screen setups of mine:
It's entirely stock, the only thing is that I've used Awesome icons to create customised home screen shortcuts (i.e. where I can choose icons from installed icon packs, or even images, etc.). Note that this app only allows for the creation of home screen shortcuts, it can't affect the app drawer.
I really dislike the round icons in the Pixel Launcher, they really ought to provide a setting to disable that.
here is the latest apk from APKMIRROR. probably the only site i would trust installing apps from as they are verified to be authentic and not tampered with.
as for changing icons...its a bit of a time taker...but awesome icons can do what you want...works well. if you are on 7.1 though, you lose any of the app shortcuts with custom icons.
You've got your answer, but https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts is a good app. Awesome Icons allows you to create custom shortcuts to apps that work in any launcher (ie stock or GNL.)
I could but I'm kinda reluctant if the only change is the icon and I have no indication anything else has changed really. Please let me know if you found any improvement to v4.81 and I'll gladly update my mod. Meanwhile, if you really dig that new icon, you can make a custom shortcut to Show Box using this app :)
Happy New Year!
I don't know what app you used for the shortcut but I ended up using Awesome Icons and it doesn't restart the app for me.
Awesome Icons: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
It allows me to use custom icons on Google Now Launcher. It creates a 'shortcut' to do it, so your app drawer still shows the original icon, but your homescreen will look sexy.
Also, not sure if this is a widely known app, but I love SDmaid: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.thedarken.sdm
I run this a couple of times a week and it clears out old junk.
Perhaps Awesome icons as amongst other things it will let you ...
"Customize the label for your icons or remove it ."
Unfortunately yes. When you go into the app and click the 4th button left to right on the bottom it shows a list with all launchers supports. I am sincerely sorry that I forgot to include that. You can refund the program if you don't want to install 3rd party launchers. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Program which you can try.
Not with an icon pack I don't think...... You can use this app. It's called awesome icons and lets you change individual apps using icon packs. Here's the link;
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
You could use Awesome Icons and still use the Google Now Launcher. It only adds icons to your Home screen not your app drawer. I use it to change a few non conforming icons on my homescreen.
Using your screenshot, seems you're using Android so it's easy.
Install Awesome Icons and use this icon.
Soft is kinda straightforward, choose your app, then choose your icon :)
I said so right there /u/Brodie9793 ... ;)
> Awesome Icons was used in order to create the customised shortcuts sans text labels.
Step by step:
install desired iconpacks
install Awesome Icons
use Awesome icons to create shortcuts with any installed icons (or downloaded images) of your choice
Awesome Icons' interface takes a bit of getting used to, but it's certainly not difficult to figure out. After it creates an icon, it will dump it on your home screen (typically on a new 'page'), and from there, you just put it in the position you like. When creating a shortcut with Awesome Icons, you can specify the text label - delete the text for a clean look. Note that this process can only be used to create customised home screen shortcuts, your app drawer and any other icons will remain unchanged.
If you want to use the Pixel Launcher and don't want round icons, you could use an app to create customised home screen shortcuts:
I've used Awesome icons in the screenshots shown. (I really dislike the round icons in the Pixel Launcher, they really ought to provide a setting to diable that.)
It enables you to create shortcuts on your home screen, allowing you to choose icons from any installed app, icon pack, or image.
Hope that helps! :)
Awesome icons if you want to get rid of the forced circular icons on your home-screen shortcuts (won't change the app drawer icons)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts&hl=en&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dawesome+icons&pcampaignid=APPU_1_HAUkWNzxFummjwT5xpWoCg Awesome icons. Sorry don't know how to shorten links.
Actually, you can use an app such as Awesome icons that basically creates a shortcut of an app using local or 3rd party icons on your home screen. Functions and works like any other icon (you can edit the text, too), except for app shortcuts.
Don't want to use a launcher? But, want to change icons or get rid of the names linked to your icons?
Try this puppy: Awesome Icons....FYI: In order to get rid of the name, backspace it out, then you need one space bar click for a blank name to save.
With an app called Awesome Icons. I saw someone else on Reddit recommend it a couple months ago. It's a little tedious, but it works.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
I love this app called Awesome Icons . it doesn't matter what android launcher you use, it is compatible with any of them and allows you to customize the icons in your homescreen. It's a pretty simple and lightweight app. You can either use pretty much any android icon pack you can find in the Play Store or you can use any image you want.
You could use something like Awesome Icons to set widget shortcut icons in OneUI Launcher. From any installed Icon pack.
You can make it work with Awesome Icons
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Use the app Awesome Icons. It allows you to apply any icon to any launcher, including Now Launcher and Touchwiz.
Here's a link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
I use this
Awesome icons let's you create a shortcut using any icon (local or from a pack). Though shortcuts won't work
Yes....Awesome Icons
Just so you know, you can use Awesome Icons to get app icon shortcuts with the custom icon packs you have installed. Link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts&hl=en to get custom icons with GNL
Awesome icons will do just that without the need for another launcher.
awesome icons app on playstore
And here's the image
Here you go:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
App is called Awesome Icons. Does exactly what you want.
You can either download a custom launcher that has it built in or use this app
Yes Awesome Icons
Ok, so I used awesome icons for the app icons and used this icon pack. You'll have to manually do this for every app you want on the home screen. Here's the folder for both of the widgets. Use Zooper for those. Also, here's the wallpaper.
Awesome Icons lets you use custom icon packs with GNL.
Using the app Awesome icons
Awesome Icons can do this but it only creates a shortcut on your homescreen so it's not perfect
Thanks, I'm gonna check this out. Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
It's Pixel Launcher, you can use this app called Awesome Icons to change any icons to whatever you want.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
You can use Awesome icons which is what I use. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts&hl=en
This app lets you use icon packs on GNL
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
I searched some older threads and apparently that app lets you change icons on Android according to /u/blvcksvn
Use this to change them even in your standart launcher: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Awesome Icons creates new shortcuts, unfortunately it only works on the homescreen :/
You can change icons on the Google Now Launcher with this app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Worked great for me.

Try the Awesome Icons app! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts I used it to change the youtube vanced icon to the normal youtube icon
Icon editor: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts

This isn't an app, but me putting together different elements I found, the widget (date and weather) uses an app called KWGT to import, whilst the background I found online.
To make shortcuts with p5 app icons, use awesome icons and the images linked above
(Android only)
You can use awesome icons to change individual icons.
I think you'll need to get a custom launcher to use an icon pack. Or you can use an app like awesome icons.
I'm using the Awesome Icons app from the Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
This is what you are looking for. You can use custom icons on the stock launcher.
You can't change the icon for apple but if you have android you can use this
Sorry it's awesome icons. Here is the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts this app i think may be what you are lookin for
I prefer using the Pixel launcher and I like all my apps circular as well, haha. I use an app called Awesome Icons (by "Momo apps") to apply icons from icon packs without needing a custom launcher. I use the Pixel Icon Pack (by "Saurabh Gupta") for any apps that aren't already circular by default.
It doesn't change the icon in the app drawer though, I think custom launchers can do that. You also have to add each icon individually, which can be annoying. But you can delete the icon labels if you prefer that cleaner look, which is cool.
Edit: links for those who care Awesome Icons: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts Pixel Icon Pack: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.themezilla.pixelui I also recommend this custom quick settings app to add shortcuts in the control panel: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
Here: Awesome Icons....can change icon & remove text.
yep, if you want you can create an icon with awsome icons, just download an icon pack and it will create a shortcut on your GNL
BTW, if you want to change the icon, you can use an app called Awesome Icons to customize the shortcuts to your apps..
Awesome Icons will let you theme the icons individually!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
You can use this app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts&hl=en with Elun or any other icon pack to use custom icons on the stock launcher
You can install this app but it doesn't change much (only Play Games, Play Magazines, Google Drive ...) Pixel Launcher Round Icons
But what i did is : I downloaded this zip file that contains PNGs of the rounded icons MEGA and i used this app : Awesome Icons to create a shortcut with a modified icon for apps. Note that the modified icon only appears in your home screen and not in the app drawer. Also note that this app creates a homescreen shortcut with a custom icon that redirects to the app of your choice, that means you won't be able to use Launcher Shortcuts on that icon. Good thing: The shortcut stays even if you remove the "Awesome Icons" app :)
You choose. (I actually only applied this to apps that i know i'm not gonna use their Launcher Shortcuts like Play Store, YouTube..)
Use Awesome Icons and apply them manually. :)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Awesome icons can add different icons to google launcher
It's a tedious process but this will do it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
You can use icons from icon packs on the stock launcher with Awesome Icons (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts). It doesn't require rooting and it's free.
I'm using the smaller png that I put on imgur, via Awesome Icons https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Not the same and not as easy but this app let's you change icons without root too https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Use this. Works like a charm. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Using an app like Awesome Icons will work: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.momocode.shortcuts
Once installed, add a widget and select the app and icon you want ( the main purpose is so you can use third party icon packs but you don't have to). Because it's a widget, the text shouldn't be there.
