I usually sort through most viewed or kudos and go from there. You can also filter it by pairing or character.
Otherwise if you use Tumblr you can search for 'Dragon Age fanfic recs' or something similar.
Edit: Also don't be ashamed. A lot of fanfic authors are on par with or better than some published authors and I thoroughly enjoy reading about others' PC and what decisions they make and the stories they weave out of it.
Well here we go, a .wav of Sandal saying "Enchantment!" from Origins: http://www.filedropper.com/enchantment
Got it from Youtube and cleaned it up in Audacity.
EDIT: Since I'm getting all this attention I'm going to cheekily do some shameless self promotion. I has a fantasy webcomic. About elves! Check it out if you please.
I saw a rock wraith! Like the boss at the end of DA2 act 1! Maybe the secret has to do with them or their origins, I don't think we ever got told where they came from did we?
So much excitement, this has potential for so much cool deep roads/dwarven/darkspawn lore. And why were the Inquisition fighting dwarves at one point? Possessed corpses? Legion of the Dead for some reason? It was definitely Legion-style armour, but under the helmets it looks like Darkspawn. I think my favourite idea is that they're DA:O style genlocks, and both versions are going to exist.
I'm so excited, need to go replay DA:I. And maybe the other two.
Edit: Hidden danger lurks within the Stone. Oh maker please tell me we get to know about the Stone.
I want the world making my protagonist's life a pain. No hero worship, please. And I hope to have a smaller group of companions if we're going to be the shadow Inquisition.
Solas had The Art of War for breakfast one morning, so we need competent people who understand intrigue and the importance of discretion.
Some much information today I can't handle it.
But Scribbles finally has a name!^andshe'spretty
Edit: And her character profiles been released. Bioware really is trying to kill me with an information overload.
Clarification on how the Golden Nug works
Mike Laidlaw wrote that "This sync is bi-directional and additive, which means that any collectibles will be added to the online collection, even if the character doing the clicking is pre-endgame. It's like new game plus...without having to start a new game."
http://www.dragonage.com/en_US/news/new-dragon-age-inquisition-dlc-and-more-coming-soon
I hate to give a serious answer, but here it is anyway: There is no correlation between anything and penis size. As far as we can tell, there are a number of factors that influence the size of a penis (both while erect and while flaccid). Factors include genes, gene combinations, neonatal nutrition, and many others.
Also, generally speaking, the larger a species' males are, the smaller their penises are. The theory is that the more physically dangerous a male is, the less he needs to rely on both the size of his penis for impregnation, the less likely he is to have other males vying for the females he chooses, and the less necessary a female's preference for him is.
The physically smaller a male is, the less likely he is to have offspring if he also has a correspondingly smaller penis.
So... Iron Bull may be hung like a gorilla, and the lady Qunari may actually prefer Dwarves.
I actually think Inquisition is basically "Man in a Hole" whereas Origins is basically "Cinderella Story" - both are traditional structures. I agree that DA2 is more serial based and kind of like "Which way is up?" but also kind of different. I personally find nothing wrong with the "shape" of Inquisition's story (or DA2's as long as you understand DA2 is serial). I find the shape of DA:O's story to be one of the dullest but BioWare does a great job with the details so it doesn't much matter.
Visual reference of structures: http://www.openculture.com/2014/02/kurt-vonnegut-masters-thesis-rejected-by-u-chicago.html
here is a picture of the new Morrigan for reference
What I am wondering however, is how Alistair dressed her...
He created the Bull's Chargers under orders from the Ben-Hassrath as a way to spy on Orlesian nobles, which he then relays any information back to his superiors. If you let him join your Inquisition, he basically tells you straight up that he'll report things back to his superiors, but will give you any information they may have that the Inquisition does not.
So basically he's a spy for the Qunari's spy branch, just loves living his life outside of the Qun's demands since he's been exposed to it.
Haha, I'm almost ashamed to say that I thought the same exact thing. She definitely looks different in this trailer than her look in this screenshot from a couple of months ago.
From at least a year ago until just recently. Here's an official screenshot.
David Gaider was quoted a while back has having said “I am totally side-eyeing that hair color, though. We shall see if it remains.”
Out of that mod list, it's almost certainly Improved Atmosphere causing Merrill's lack of clothes. Did you install the IA 2.0 RC1 Fixpack 6 for it?
It's still there. You just have to be on the page to actually purchase the game, and then it allows you to select which version you want. It's stupid and unintuitive, but it's there.
This might help! I read it before playing and enjoyed it.
There's also the Dragon Age Keep, as mentioned in the article. You can basically watch through a summary of the first and second games. :)
Super pro tip: If you use a Korean VPN you'll get it even earlier; as their release date is also the 18th but it'll be 14 hours earlier (in New York).
Morrigan does, it's confirmed. http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/characters/humans/morrigan
>Whether the dark-haired sorceress seeks to influence the Imperial throne, or harbors more sinister motives, no-one knows for certain. This Witch of the Wilds arrived in Orlais rather suddenly three years ago as the newly-appointed “arcane advisor” to Empress Celene. In this role, Morrigan presents a source of information unfiltered by religious dogma, and satisfies Celene’s life-long curiosity about magic. However, whispers carry concern of Morrigan having Celene wrapped around her finger, teaching the Empress forbidden, dark arts in secret.
Unfortunately, DA2 DLC's are a bitch to purchase.
You need to buy Bioware Points (which are more expensive than the game itself) and then you can either find them under the Extra Content tab on Origins or the Bioware store.
Have fun giving Bioware far too much money.
If you read the Kotaku article that goes in depth about MEA's production, you'll read that EA did indeed offer more time. Six months iirc.
https://kotaku.com/the-story-behind-mass-effect-andromedas-troubled-five-1795886428
Maybe make a mix of the songs and have them playing in the background? Ooh, ooh! All the tavern songs!
A dragon. I will leave implementation up to you.
Oh, helpful link!
I see what you're saying, but BioWare listens to fans. I'm more worried about EA, to be honest. It seems like EA learned their lesson about cutting DA2's dev cycle way too short (still love DA2 though, and kudos to BioWare for creating it in less than 18 months). The Art of War basically says to let experts do their jobs.
edit: However, I agree. I would be worried about my Inquisitor as a NPC. Hawke's blood magic lines were OOC for mine.
While I see what you mean, there was a lot of troubling signs about Andromeda before its release, particularly its information release cycle which was weird and kind of gave the sense that it was very chaotic, which the Kotaku story confirmed. The fact that we have not actually had an official announcement yet gives me hope that they are taking their time.
MMORPG.com, 8.6/10
Edit: Such hype... when an 8.6 is disappointing compared to other reviews, it's a damn good day.
His actual quote was "the first fully gay character I've had the opportunity to write". The other ones he wrote were all bisexual.
I can see how it's a phrase that's easily mockable - and yes, gender=spectrum/sexuality=fluid - but I find it's not so odd in context.
Edit for source: http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/news/character-profile-dorian
Yep!
Here's a link to it on Amazon (hardcover and Kindle)
> I might believe that when it comes to the storyline or the romances...but I can't believe EA isn't pressuring them to add microtransactions and increase profits with them.
The Jason Shreier article on the cancelled Star Wars game does a really good job of fleshing this dynamic out. EA does not really micromanage individual game decisions, but they do place unrealistic expectations of profit on the developers and don't do anything to support them. So it isn't as though the execs are saying "you need microtransactions for this and this" but rather they hold an expectation of a billion dollar franchise over their heads and so the devs have to scramble to make that work.
More recent EA-published games (Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age Inquisition) are not published on Steam because EA felt they would make more money creating their own service to publish on: Origin.
Slightly inconvenient if you have Steam already but we don't have much of a choice.
You can download the soundtrack on the official website, in the Media->Soundtrack Download section, you need to log in to the EA account with the game associated to it first though.
It's been divisive among the Origins lot. There is a free six-hour demo, which I think would be worth more than any opinion we could give you.
https://www.origin.com/en-au/store/buy/dragon-age-inq-f2p/pc-download/base-game/standard-edition
If you're into Solavellan I highly recommend the authors lavellanpls and playwithdinos on ao3!! c;
The former has the single most batshit insane, entertaining, and hysterical OC, while the latter really grasps Solas' voice, I find. :)
They are a random T3 drop so all you can do is farm T3 chests and pray that RNGesus smiles upon you. EDL and CS are your best bets.
EDIT: Or on PC you can just cheat using Cheat Engine and this guide to buy the schematic.
Check the dragon age website: http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/characters
New bio info up. Sera is/was in Friends of Red Jenny, Iron Bull is/was Ben Hassrath, Blackwall volunteered for the Wardens and is idealistic about it.
Gamefront has one, fairly spoiler-free:
Yeah, you're absolutely right. It would have been better if they wrote him as a regular companion. I just meant I've made my peace with it, and I like him anyway 😊
I've never gone on the rival path with Aveline or Varric, it make no sense to me. And with Fenris it would have been downright impossible: even with my most sarcastic Hawke, Fenris just make me want to be kind. I don’t care much for his romance, but as I friend I adore him.
I've tried both with Merrill but I can't say I have a clear preference. And I almost always rival Anders, but it's not like it's a conscious decision on my part, I just disagree with him a lot.
It's there, i just purchased it a month ago.
It does seem like Origins wants to hide it and locating and purchasing the DLC can be a bitch too.
https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/dragon-age/dragon-age-ii/standard-edition
http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/news/quest-for-the-red-lyrium-reapers
>To redeem your weapons pack, you will be prompted to log in to your Origin account. That's it! The Red Lyrium Reapers will be waiting for you in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Maker be with you.
Yeah, it's already in the game. Just an unlockable :)
That's fair! And as for your question- Not in the same way as Origins, where each one had a playable backstory, but each of the playable races does have a short origin background, with slight alterations between the mage and rogue/warrior ones.
You can see them here on the official Dragon Age site; pick a race and a class and at the bottom it'll show you what we're being told of each one's background; just a paragraph apiece, really. :)
Probably not just to you as not everyone is following the development as obsessively as others, but yah, this isn't news. If you go here and cycle through the races/classes, you can read the background story for each Inquisitor.
It's only a vague background that leaves you free to roleplay your Inquisitor to be pretty much anything you want, though. There won't be playable origins, and the twitch video today confirmed there won't be even any introductions as the game [](#s "literally starts with the explosion").
Someone ended up posting a screenshot from an image of the game that showed a baby picture of her with her dark-skinned, clearly black father and lighter-skinned mother and most of the people arguing against it ended up being like "Well how could I have guessed without noticing that?" Like, idk, maybe by looking at her?
I'm attempting to do a mini Camp NaNoWriMo for April, using Dragon Age as my inspiration and a list of 1-word prompts.
First two are posted, and that'll be updated as I do more.
I don't really read DAI fics, but if you are interested in FenHawke, this one is excellent, one of the best fics I've ever read in any fandom: Spire No, it's not your usual Tevinter AU. ;)
So I updated my fanfic Curing The Calling that is based on my warden Ashleigh Cousland's life. Most recent chapters are dealing with her backstory of being kidnapped when she was four and meeting Tasven for the first time, and then the incident that got Tasven his job as her bodyguard, and another chapter i put up deals a bit with her attempt to Cure the Calling. :)
Here goes nothing.
I know the Varric/FemHawke ship is not everyone, but it is definitely for me.
I made a little illustration for an as-yet unpublished chapter of my ongoing fanfic.
You're not sure? He's already defeated the dragon at the Storm Coast. How do you think he got to the island?
Anyway, that cave is just for show.
Edit: Give me a moment to post a clip. I'll show you exactly what the inside looks like.
In a word, no
The mounts look cool but personally speaking I never used my mounts as you don't get party banter when mounted nor can you collect resources both of which will be required for best experience.
The soundtrack is cool, doesn't include the tavern songs though(but these can be downloaded here you can purchase this separately too via iTunes I think
The multiplayer chests are just standard RNG chests(i.e. you have the same chance of getting good stuff if you bought a chest using ingame currency) although I may be wrong
The Mighty Flames set look cool, but again you get so much stuff in game and can craft stuff you'll either be using it for a short period of time or get better stuff fairly quickly anyway.
Don't get me wrong the stuff you get is cool, but worth paying extra for? Depends on what you consider value. I got the Inquisitor edition so I got a whole heap of physical items(even though some were broken) so for me the digital content wasn't the main selling point
There are character backgrounds for each race, you can find them by selecting a race + class in that part of the site.
No city elves this time either, you're always a Dalish.
>[David Gaider]: Dorian is gay—he is, in fact, the first fully gay character I've had the opportunity to write. It added an interesting dimension to his back story, considering he comes from a place where "perfection" is the face that every mage puts on and anything that smacks of deviancy is shameful and meant to be hidden. Dorian's refusal to play along with that façade is seen as stubborn and pointless by his family, which has contributed to his status as a pariah.
The scene in the comic and also some of the comments made about it (for instance Gaider's comments in the special edition) show that in that version of things Alistair knew about Morrigan's ritual and likely agreed.
But the comics are not necessarily canon for the games, ie http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/950918-dragon-age-origins/69481587 So his action there told me what he might be like if he'd agreed, but doesn't necessarily dictate what really happened according to Bioware, if that makes sense.
The latest Humble bundle includes both games for a certain amount, plus a bunch more if you're into Star Wars: https://www.humblebundle.com/
But if not, and you want the original KOTOR, it can be your for super cheap in there.
To be fair, Mass Effect has always taken a very different approach from Dragon Age (aside from DA2 anyway) in that your character is strictly defined, and a race option wouldn't work in the stories it told. As for the rest, that's down to the fact that it was Bioware's B-studio in Montreal developing Andromeda, which was the first title they were actually in charge of. You can read all about the sort of issues they ran into in terms of management and scope here.
Allthough expressed in my local time this countdown clock will tell you exactly how long until the game can be unlocked in South Korea.
It was incorrectly reported by several different sources that we would be visiting 5 major regions in DA:I, Fereldan, The Free Marches, Orlais, Nevarra, and the Dales. Bioware was quick to rebut this and state we would not be visitng the Free Marches or Nevarra at all in DA:I. We will only be seeing the countries of Fereldan and Orlais and the Dales in between.
Oh hey, again!
So, this was one of the mods that was on the BSN before it shut down. It's been reuploaded here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/tmp7704/downloads/tucked-hair
The site might look sketchy, but I've had no issues with it.
The mod itself just adds more hair options. It doesn't edit the original hairs! Install it just like you do skins by editing the chargen. You will have to change each section for each race/gender option.
Sure. The article is here: https://kotaku.com/the-story-behind-mass-effect-andromedas-troubled-five-1795886428 (Yes Kotaku, but the story makes sense.)
There's also a summary video from a different party here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYvJhe9dMtU&t=532s
Nah, of course not. (here's the countdown for the europe launch)
Plug for the dragon age multiplayer subreddit if anybody would like to join us there.
In many ways, this almost feels like a sort of sequel to mass effect 3s coop. I really think this is going to be something very special now that they are developing MP as a main aspect of the game.
AO3 is great. Yes, you need an invite, but you can request for it, and they'll send you one! I joined in November last year and it took just a couple of days to get mine. :) https://archiveofourown.org/invite_requests
Unfortunately, the DLC will not be available on PS3 or Xbox 360. You also need to buy the game again if you want to play on PS4 or Xbox One. There is however a save file transfer system so you can import your Inquisition save games from PS3 to PS4 or from Xbox 360 to Xbox One. Click here for details on the save import system.
>How did the Templars have them trapped? The Templars were literally on the other side of the country, at Theirinfal Redoubt.
Not all of the templars are at Theirinfal Redoubt. When you first arrive at the Hinterlands you see a lot of templars and mages fighting. Also, here is a letter to Arl Teagen that references the templars and mages fucking up shit in the Hinterlands.
>The thing to do would be to ask for protection from Arl Teagan. Who they kicked out of his own castle instead.
See above. Going to the Arl for protection did not work. I do agree that kicking out Arl Teagan was a bad move. It's implied that the venatori agents within the rebel mages were behind that though.
>Or they could have gotten into those boats and made an escape that way.
To where? Unlike the Templars, the mages don't have any safe areas to regroup. Due to centuries of chantry propaganda the average person in Thedas outside the imperium despise and distrust all things magic so it's not like the mages are likely to find popular support anywhere. It's amazing that they secured refuge in Redcliffe, but that didn't last.
>There was no reason to think that inviting a hostile foreign power into Ferelden, as thanks for the King's mercy, was ever going to get them anywhere good.
The Venatori agents within the rebel mage ranks were mostly responsible for pushing the rest of the mages to agree with the alliance. The Mages were looking for a way to survive and they assumed Tevinter, the one place mages aren't treated like shit for being mages, would provide that opportunity.
Btw, the Tevinter imperium is not a hostile foreign power, and the mages did not know what the Venatori were all about at that time. The mages letting the Venatori outmaneuver and enslave them is about as stupid as the templars being tricked by an Envy demon to take red lyrium. Both sides made big mistakes.
> My request was not at all unreasonable: tag your spoilers.
Your request is not unreasonable, your definition of spoilers is unreasonable.
The example you used consisted of names. If you went into DAI completely blind, they would be meaningless names.
If you followed any of DAI's promotional materials, you'd see that not only is Morrigan literally the first screenshot on the official site, she is listed on the characters page.
Some reading about the Iron Bull, leads me to believe he'll be romancable (if not at least do-able) by anyone and everything. As per this http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/news/character-profile-the-iron-bull
While I like the theory, I have to agree with the comment before me, that they are just showing the different factions. Also, if you look at the picture they are offering for backgrounds, you can see that they rearranged the order of the rings, moving the Tevinter ring off the ring finger.
Oh sorry if it looked that way. I was joking because i've heard people actually staying that Italians are black, and things like this exist: https://www.amazon.it/Are-Italians-White-Race-America/dp/0415934516
I find it racist towards black people, because italians are not black and don't face the issues that real black people face. I don't like cultural appropriation.
Sorry about the misunderstanding, it was just a joke that was meant to be against racism.
I got mine off the iTunes store! It is also on Amazon though, here.
Yeah, that's true, it's here and goes by the name Dragon Age Tactics:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/dragon-age-tactics/13580
Pretty sure it's a mistake tho, I don't know why the site owners added it. Maybe they are just too hyped, so they decided to fake reality in which they can find ~~solas~~ solace.
From what they said, multiplayer is fully f2p with whole progress unlocked.

Theres a lot of info but if you just look at the suggested builds it tells you stat distribution and what talents to take at what levels. this is one I always use
It's not just about who you support. It's also about the decisions you make and some of the conversations you have (which I'm sure you know if you've read the guides).
Cassandra is the "default" Divine. You can get her as Divine even if you make decisions that are more likely to support Leliana. One conversation or one offer of support for Cassandra and that's pretty much it, or it should be. I've had at least two playthroughs where Cassandra was Divine despite Leliana having far more points.
I'm not sure how you would end up with Leliana as Divine every time unless you always make the same decisions? Ally with the mages, for example (that gives Leliana a huge boost in points).
If you're doing different things each playthrough and you're actively supporting a different candidate, I don't know what to tell you.
Yes, I've done a lot of personal research into this, trying to fully uncover the mechanics involved. I'm still not 100% sure about everything, but Cassandra is definitely the default.
If you're on the PC, there are tools you can use to keep an eye on the Divine election as you play. Specifically, I've found plotflaginquisitor.exe to be easy to use and very useful.
Hey so let me address each of your questions point by point:
Yes your save will import like it did in awakening
No for Inquisition you will import a world state from the Dragon Age Keep which will be tied to your Origin account (You'll need to make one if you don't have one yet)
In Dragon Age II you play a separate character named Hawke who starts the game game fleeing from the blight with his family (They are from Lothering), and they end up in an independent city state called Kirkwall. The game takes place over the next decade of Hawke's life in the city of Kirkwall as he finds himself caught up in a series of events which are important to Inquisition.
When it comes to DA2 or Inquisition it really depends on what you liked best about Dragon Age: Origins. As much as I liked DA2 it has some flaws mainly the combat can feel repetitive and environments were painfully overused, but the story is pretty good (more personal, less world savey) and more importantly it and its dlc have major lore implications that would suck to miss out on. Finally, the companions are some of the best in the series. If you loved Origins more for the combat and the exploratory game play then you might be better off skipping DA2 and getting Inquisition instead.
There is unfortunately no Ultimate Edition for DA2, but there is one for Inquisition. You can find both games on sale at origin here: DA2, Inquisition
Sorry for the wall of text but I hope this was helpful.
DAI comes with a free English voiceover pack as DLC. Here's the link. Haven't used it myself since mine came in English, but I think this should solve your problem.
All Origin gathers is what I've posted below. This is no more than Steam does. Heck google does more than this, google use the information to give you ads tailored to what you might like.
"There are two types of information that are always collected through Origin:
(1) System interaction data essential to the continued operation of Origin. This includes anonymous crash reports (including the time and approximate location of the crash); hardware specification data (information about your device’s CPU, graphics card, display, memory, browser, and operating system); and other functional details (successful installs, unsuccessful game downloads, game launch data, errors, and lost network connections). MAC and IP addresses are collected as well, but obfuscated and hashed to protect your anonymity. All of this data is used to improve Origin’s performance, identify bugs, and enhance your overall experience.
(2) Information that you directly provide to Origin. This includes Origin preferences, online feature usage, purchase information, and account information—which is used only to allow specific services to work. For example, Origin needs to collect and verify your personal information in order to process a game purchase.
For more information about EA’s collection, storage, and use of consumer information, please read EA’s Privacy Policy."
From their website https://www.origin.com/en-us/faq
The weapons are what come with the preorders, the Armor is only for the deluxe/inquisitor edition.
First of all, I love this post! The romance aspect is probably my favorite part. What can I say? I'm a sucker for love.
Second, here's my super dirty short story about what could happen if Fenris and Zevran ever got together. I gave it the very clever (ha!) title of ZEVRIS: https://archiveofourown.org/works/4441955
Right. I have Ctrl+F'd and haven't seen it, so I'm going to suggest this: Greatly Approved by Damalur.
It is a Varric/Hawke fanfiction, long-ish for a one-shot, but it is by far one of the most entertaining fics I've read. It has everything: plot, character development, foreshadowing, romance, humour above all else and what I believe to be the best characterisation I've seen in ages. My heart hurt at the end of it just from the vast range of emotions it covers.
Some of the lines are golden, and I would quote one to try and get your attention, but I don't want to spoil it. So a summary of the fic is that Hawke joins a book club in Skyhold, and they read one of Varric's over a period of many weeks.
Clarification on how the Golden Nug works
Mike Laidlaw wrote that "This sync is bi-directional and additive, which means that any collectibles will be added to the online collection, even if the character doing the clicking is pre-endgame. It's like new game plus...without having to start a new game."
http://www.dragonage.com/en_US/news/new-dragon-age-inquisition-dlc-and-more-coming-soon
The Pentium G3450 is a Dual-Core CPU, DAI needs a Quad-Core CPU according to this page.
I'm pretty sure that's your problem right there.
No, it's confusing because Bioware did a bad job of explaining these in the Black Emporium announcement. Anyone can get the Legacy Kirkwall and Legacy Ferelden thrones. They are "an added bonus" for DA1 and DA2 players because they will remind you of those games.
It contains the Deluxe Edition, which includes the DLCs. It even says so at the top of the included items on their website
Moviebob summed it up perfectly.
In a a nutshell his main point is why? Their are plenty of movies that have worse representations of culture or sex, that have worse acting, worse plots, worse everything so why single it out?
You won't catch me finding a single positive thing to say about the book/movie but he's right. Why isn't their such a reaction about other movies that do it even worse?
Yeah a great start! 👍
Try and get 'Tevinter Nights' too, so you have the post-Trespasser content.
'The Silent Grove', 'Those Who Speak' and 'Until We Sleep' are all part of the same 3 part comic-story, set between D.A.2 and D.A.I in 9:38 Dragon, following Alistair, Isabela and Varric.
The next 5 comics are all one continuous story too:
'Magekiller' takes place before and during D.A.I. finishing during the final fight of D.A.I. actually!
'Knight Errant' follows on from Magekiller and takes place in 9:44 Dragon just after Trespasser; Viscount Varric!!
If you can get them, the next comics after 'Knight Errant' are:
'Deception': Follows on from 'Knight Errant' in 9:44 Dragon.
'Blue Wraith': Follows on from 'Deception' in 9:45 Dragon.
'Dark Fortress': Follows on from 'Blue Wraith' in 9:45 Dragon. This comic has just finished it's 3 issue release-run and the hardback collection of the 3 issues isn't out until September 28th: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dragon-Age-Dark-Fortress-Defilippis/dp/1506708285/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=dragon+age+dark+fortress&qid=1623960464&sprefix=dragon+age+dark+f&sr=8-1
I'm not sure if this helps, but the deck of playing cards which includes a lot of the tarot art is selling on Amazon for $8.99 USD ($7.16 if you have Amazon Prime). I own this deck.
Edit: I forgot that there are two different versions. Here's the second one which is selling for $9.93.
No. He takes to telling her that she's his strength (to which her call-and-response reply is always "You're your own strength, I'm just a mirror"). Eventually he decides that he wants to learn to say "my strength" in Elvhen. He considers, and immediately discards, asking Solas; tries with Dorian, figuring that if the man himself doesn't know, he might have books that could tell him; and finally, at Dorian's suggestion, asks Morrigan. Who's drunk from the Well of Sorrows and knows more Elvhen than Dalish have forgotten. Elvhen is a perhaps overly poetic language, so there's a few ways to say it, but Cullen settles on the more archaic, but prettier - to his ear - rendering.
So Cullen's pet name for Ma'ena is "sou'emma." And now you know what my flair means. :)
(Elvhen language sourced from Project Elvhen, which takes the bits of the language we get from the games and expands on it. Fan canon, in other words.)
I would have two countdown timers, one till the EA Early access release on XBone and one till the US Release time. There will be leaks before and after that but it'll be good reminders for people to know when to get the hell out of Dodge.
I've been holding off on getting it, just because I have a huge backlog, and figured I could wait until it was on sale. Looks like the time might be now.
How good are the DLC? Going from the Standard Edition to the GOTY edition takes the cost from $22.49 to $59.99 (AUD, screw the Australia tax), not sure if the three DLC are worth more than doubling the price.
They've just been posting on their social media channels about this free trial of DAI for PC, which has a 6-hour demo of the SP and unlimited free MP. Perhaps someone saw your post? ;) (I'm not sure how long that trial lasts for, but still, it's something!)
Here's a link to comixology if you want to buy/read it online. If you want a floppy you check to see if your local comic shop has any in stock, if not they can generally order it for. Or you can wait for the trade where they collect all the single issues into one book, but that won't happen until the series is finished or has a certain amount of issues. Also you should check out the comic trilogy by Gaider which has Alistair, Isabella, Varric, and a few others.
Last weekend I was at Anime North in Fire Emblem cosplay as Gaius from Awakening. As requested (and promised!) I have come with photos from the weekend!
Here is the Google photo stream from the weekend's Fire Emblem photoshoot. There are a lot of great photos in it and we all had a lot of fun! If you're looking for me in particular, however, I'm the Gaius on the right, snacking down on a lollipop.
I also was fortunate to have some professional photos done, but I have not been able to scan them yet as I've been busy prepping for AKon. I'm pretty proud of the results though, as this is only the second time I've made a cosplay outfit entirely from scratch and it was my first time doing crossplay (which actually involved using more make-up than I usually wear as a woman).
You can find DA2 on Origin. Origin has its own very very frequent sales too, keep an eye on it every week and you'll see DA2 is on a nice sale price more often than not.
And I'll second/third the recommendation to pick up DA2. It's a good game if you take it for what it is - a new story in the same general universe but with its own different twists; instead of just expecting a direct sequel/more of the same to DAO.
I've started one. There's eight chapters thus far. It definitely focuses more on what my husband and I call "talky talk time" (the running around and talking to each companion before heading out to do some questing). He thinks it needs more action and less talk. Heh. He doesn't play video games for the "talky talk time", but I do, so to each their own. It is a playthrough, but most of the big events happen off-stage, save for the opening sequences. I try to be concise and efficient in my writing.
Oh, and it's NSFW for both language and sexual content. It's a Trevelyan/Blackwall piece. This Blackwall is definitely the Blackwall who spent a week with "the bounciest doxy" he could find. While the man can be chivalrous, he can also be incredibly crude and matter of fact. And this Inquisitor is older than what I find in a lot of fanfic, closer to thirty than twenty.
There Was No Word for Heaven or Earth
Evelyn Trevelyan was sent to represent her House at the Conclave in order to regain both her and her family's respect.
Evelyn is a ranged rogue who is more content hunting on her father's land, than sealing rifts and slaying demons.
According to a recent online poll conducted by Bioware known as "The Ultimate Dragon Age Party": Alistair, Morrigan, and Varric were voted most popular companions across all three Dragon Age games.
Here's the website for more information
Obviously not the "end all, be all", but none-the-less a relatively accurate depiction of popular opinion.
And as no one has mentioned this, it was released with the PC specs (which you can see here if you did not know) that the game is 26 GB, so your guess for the size is about right.
Amazon appears to have have the individual copies of #1 and #5.
$5.99 + $3.99 shipping and $7.75(+$3.99) respectively. Pricey for individual issues given the entire omnibus is cheaper, and eBook is way cheaper, but if you're looking for the original issues as collectors items, there's one option, at least.
I’m not sure if you meant to answer me and just quoted the wrong sentence, or if you meant to answer the comment below and replayed to the wrong one! But if you were replaying to me, I agree. Depending on your outcome in Awakening, even if you didn’t let him die, Anders timeline is totally off. When I started DA2, it made me nuts. In my ending it was said he stayed with the Wardens for many years 🙄
I just wanted to add: choicewise, it would have been a lot easier for me with no ritual and just the option to either die or let Alistair die. Since I'd probably kill every single DA character before I kill Alistair, I would have happily jumped into the Archdemon mouth face first. Granted, I would have hated the ending and probably never played DA2, but it wouldn’t have been a difficult decision at all.
And more important than my personal admitedly exaggerated feelings about a certain character, if a game makes me choose between sacrificing myself or my loved ones, to me is a very black or white decision, where the first option is the good thing to do, and the latter is a selfish choice. So, a lot more black and white than the ritual, to me.
(I apologize for any grammar mistake, English is not my native language and it's like 3 AM 😅 )
My Guide Section 0408 has a detailed walkthrough to get all the Halla Statues, each scenario, and all the evidence (Yes, all 30).
Except the user side has trolls and "haters".
Seriously, I actually watched the metacritic score in real time because I wanted to see how the game would do. The minute - and I do mean the minute - the metacritic reviews opened to users, on launch day, there were dozens of 0/10 reviews already. It was at that point literally impossible for them to have played the game long enough to be able to comment with any authority on it.
The sad fact is, DA:I's metacritic score got hit by a troll attack and dragged down by assholes who were angry about Bioware pandering to "SJWs" by, you know, including gays. You can see them in the comment section of every pre-release demo/review vid, crying that straight males are being ~oppressed~ by Bioware, you guys, ~oppressed~.
Outside of metacritic, the user score for DA:I is actually pretty good, the equivalent of ~8.5/10.
See also the IGN comments, which is where I've been for the last three hours because I'm a sick son of a bitch. Whee.
